[Upbeat music plays, dinosaur chirping]
A narrator says, IT'S THE LATE CRUNCHIEST PERIOD. WHEN THE WORLD WAS DOMINATED BY THE JUICIEST AND FRESHEST CREATURES EVER TO RULE THE PLANET-- THE MIGHTY VEGESAURS.
Title: “Vegesaurs.”
Created by Gary Eck and Nick O’Sullivan.
Ginger, an orange tricarrotops, stands on a cliff top. Wasabi, Minty, and Split, three baby pea-rexes, ride on her head.
[Serene music plays, wings flapping]
In Vegesaur Valley, smoke rises from Mount Vegetoa, and lava flows down the side. A river flows through a thick forest with bright purple and green leaves beneath the volcano. A bokchoydactyl glides towards the trees.
The narrator says, VEGESAUR VALLEY. WHEREVER YOU LOOK, THERE ARE MIRACLES. INCLUDING THE MIRACLE OF FLIGHT.
[Buzzing, chirping, rustling]
Appleflius flutter past a strawberrysaurus and three pinapplesaurus. The bokchoydactyl swoops down and picks up a stick in front of Ginger.
Ginger says, LOOK OUT! FLYING POD!
[Slide whistle, grunting, thumping]
A seed pod lands by Ginger.
Ginger says, HUH?
[Gasping, baby pea-rexes chittering, rustling, thumping, upbeat music plays]
More pods and a leaf land by Ginger. Ginger, Wasabi, and Minty look behind a rock and discover Split. Split looks beneath the leaves and a rock.
Ginger asks, WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR, SPLIT?
[Chittering, scratching]
Split scratches their face and runs in circles.
Ginger says, OH, YOU'RE ITCHY! AND YOU CAN'T FIND YOUR SCRATCHING STICK?
[Chittering, scratching]
The narrator says, THE PEA-REX'S TINY ARMS MAKE SCRATCHING AN ITCH EXTREMELY DIFFICULT.
Ginger says, MAYBE ONE OF US COULD SCRATCH YOUR ITCH?
[Chittering, groaning]
Minty and Wasabi try to scratch Split, but cannot reach them.
Ginger says, I GET IT. IT'S JUST THE SAME AS BRING SCRATCHED BY A STICK.
Split shakes their head.
Ginger says, WELL THEN, WE'LL JUST HAVE TO FIND YOU A NEW SCRATCHING STICK.
[Chittering, giggling, groaning, rustling]
Split sits on the ground.
Ginger says, WE'LL HAVE ONE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT. WAIT. HUH? WHERE DID ALL THE STICKS GO?
A stick lies on the ground in a clearing.
Ginger says, THERE'S ONE!
[Whooshing, tense music plays]
A bokchoydactyl picks up the stick.
[Ginger gasping, flapping]
A second bokchoydactyl chases the first in the sky.
The narrator says, IT'S NESTING SEASON FOR THE BOKCHOYDACTYLS, WHICH MEANS STICKS ARE IN HIGH DEMAND.
Ginger says, AFTER IT!
[Grunting, lively music plays, vegesaurs squawking, rustling, bokchoydactyls squawking]
The pea-rexes climb up on Ginger’s head, and she follows the bokchoydactyl. The bokchoydactyl drops the stick into a nest, lands, and sits on the nest located on a ledge on a rocky outcropping. Other bokchoydactyls fly in the air.
Ginger says, THAT'S WHERE ALL THE STICKS ARE?
[Wings flapping, Split gasping, dramatic music plays]
Split looks at their scratching stick poking out of the nest.
Ginger says, THAT LOOKS LIKE YOUR SCRATCHING STICK! COME ON, FOLLOW ME. I KNOW A WAY UP.
[Lively music plays, grunting, Split yelping, vine rustling]
Ginger and the pea-rexes run, and Split stops and tries to scratch their head with their foot. Later, Ginger steps on a vine at the top of the outcropping and lowers it incrementally. Tied to the end of the vine, Split lowers towards the bokchoydactyl and the nest.
Ginger whispers, IS SPLIT CLOSE?
[Chittering, tense music plays]
Ginger says, TELL ME WHEN TO STOP. WHAT ABOUT NOW?
[Quiet chittering, vine rustling]
Wasabi looks over the edge and shakes their head. Ginger lowers the vine, and Minty and Wasabi gesture at her.
Ginger says, OKAY.
[Split grunting, snoring]
Split dangles between the scratching stick and the sleeping bokchoydactyl. The bokchoydactyl inhales, and Split swings toward them. The bokchoydactyl exhales, and Split swing towards the stick.
Wasabi and Minty say, HUH?
[Snoring, chittering, thumping, grunting, stick creaking, chittering]
Split swings forward, grabs the stick and pulls.
Ginger shouts, YES! GO, TEAM!
[Rustling]
Ginger rears up and steps off the vine. It slides forward.
Ginger says, OH, SORRY!
[Split yelping, slide whistle, thudding, grunting]
The scratching stick falls out of the nest, and Split lands on a ledge, clinging to the stick.
Ginger asks, ARE YOU OKAY?
[Chittering, growling, rustling, energetic music plays]
The bokchoydactyl awakens and leans over the edge of the nest. A second bokchoydactyl swoops down and takes the stick, with Split holding the end.
Ginger says, UH-OH. HEY! COME BACK WITH OUR STICK! AND OUR SPLIT!
[Footsteps running, whooshing, exciting music plays]
A third bokchoydactyl steals the stick from the second bokchoydactyl.
The narrator says, WITH STICKS SCARCE, COMPETITION FOR THIS ONE IS FIERCE.
[Split squealing]
Ginger says, LET GO, SPLIT! WE'LL CATCH YOU!
[Grunting, whimpering, Split screaming, whooshing, thumping, slide whistle, Split chittering]
On Ginger’s horns, Minty and Wasabi stretch a leaf between them. In the air, Split shakes their head. The two bokchoydactyl push each other as they fly. Split falls off the stick.
Ginger says, WE'VE GOT YOU, SPLIT!
[Leaves rustling, rustling]
Split bounces off a tree branch. Ginger skids to a stop on the ground.
Ginger says, UM, NO, WE HAVEN'T!
[Boinging, whimpering, scratching, happy sighing]
Split rolls down the tree branch and slides up another branch. Split smiles and slides down the tree trunk.
The narrator says, SOMETIMES, AN ITCH IS SO STRONG YOU NEED TO SCRATCH IT WITH THE WHOLE TREE.
[Boinging, content sighing, happy music plays, chittering]
Splits lands on the ground beside the tree. Ginger runs to them. Wasabi and Minty jump down to the ground.
Ginger says, THE BIGGEST, BESTEST SCRATCHING STICK EVER?
[Scratching, giggling]
The pea-rexes rub their backs against the tree.
Ginger says, ALL THAT SCRATCHING IS MAKING ME ITCHY, TOO!
[Laughing, scratching, chittering, bokchoydactyl whooshing]
Ginger rubs her back against the tree and slides to the ground. She lies on her back and scratches her back against the ground. The shadow of a passing bokchoydactyl swoops over her.
[Upbeat music plays]
