Bumpi writes the show title with the smoke from the exhaust of his spaceship.

In her backyard, Li Li, a human girl with short black hair, skips as Bumpi and Edgar, the Basset hound, turn the skipping rope.
Li Li counts, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20!
[Li Li sighing, the music stops]
Li Li stops skipping.
Li Li says, THANKS. OKAY, WHO'S NEXT?
Bumpi says, BUMPADOO, BUMPADOO!
[Slide whistle, upbeat music plays]
Bumpi changes into a ball and bounces as Li Li and Edgar turn the rope.
Bumpi says, BOING, BOING, BOING!
Li Li says, ONE, TWO, THREE...
[Bumpi vocalizing, Edgar grunting, grunting, leaves rustling, slide whistle]
Bumpi turns into a spring and bounces high. He returns to his globe shape, bounces off a slide and a teeter-totter, and lands on a tree. Bumpi falls on the grass between Li Li and Edgar.
Li Li says, WOW, THAT WAS SOME OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD SKIPPING.
[Bumpi chuckling]
Bumpi says, GA-GA!
[Bird chirping, slide whistle, upbeat music plays]
Bumpi grows a large ear and leans forward.
Bumpi says, HUH?
[Li Li giggling]
Li Li asks, WHAT DO YOU HEAR, BUMPI?
Bumpi says, UH, TWE-TWEE?
[Bird chirping]
Li Li says, HMM, I WONDER WHAT'S MAKING THAT SOUND?
Bumpi says, GUH, EED-GOO?
Edgar shakes his head.
Edgar says, RUH-RUH.
[Barking]
Li Li says, NOPE, EDGAR IS A DOG AND MAKES "WOOF-WOOF" SOUNDS.
[Edgar clearing his throat, barking, howling]
Li Li says, WOW, EDGAR HAS A LOT OF DIFFERENT "WOOF-WOOF" SOUNDS.
[Bird chirping]
Li Li says, I KNOW, LET'S FOLLOW THE SOUND TO FIND OUT WHO OR WHAT IS MAKING IT.
[Edgar grunting, dog tags jangling, Bumpi giggling, grunting, popping, bush rustling]
Bumpi grows a second large ear, and he and Li Li follow Edgar to a shaking bush.
Bumpi says, OOH! TWEE-TWEE?
[Rustling, squeaking, slide whistle, squirrel chittering, Edgar barking]
A brown squirrel emerges from the bush, carrying an armful of acorns. The squirrel drops the acorns and runs.
Li Li says, EDGAR, IT'S JUST A SQUIRREL!
Bumpi says, SKA-WHIR-WOOL?
Li Li says, A SQUIRREL.
[Edgar growling]
Li Li says, THEY'RE SMALL, FURRY CREATURES THAT LIKE TO EAT AND COLLECT NUTS AND ACORNS.
[Bumpi vocalizing, slide whistle, grunting]
Bumpi turns into a squirrel and juggles acorns.
Li Li says, THE SQUIRREL MAKES A "SQUEAK-SQUEAK" SOUND, WHICH MEANS IT ISN'T WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR.
[Bird chirping, plopping, slide whistle]
Bumpi drops the acorns. Bumpi returns to his large-eared shape.
Li Li says, OH, THERE IT IS AGAIN! QUICK, FOLLOW THAT SOUND!
Bumpi says, HMM.
[Bumpi humming, rustling]
Li Li pushes tall grass aside and discovers a frog sitting on a rock in a small pond.
Li Li says, OH, LOOK, A FROG!
[Slide whistle, the music stops]
Bumpi turns into a frog with one large ear and lands on a rock.
Bumpi says, TWEE-TWEE?
Li Li says, COULD A FROG BE THE ONE MAKING THE "TWEET-TWEET" SOUND?
[Frog croaking, light music plays]
Bumpi says, NO TWEE-TWEE.
Li Li says, THE FROG ALSO ISN'T WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR. HMM, BUT WHO ELSE COULD IT BE?
Bumpi says, HMM.
[Bird chirping]
[Bumpi exclaiming, slide whistles, grunting]
Bumpi jumps across the rocks. Li Li walks to a rope ladder leading to a treehouse.
Li Li says, IT'S COMING FROM ABOVE.
[Edgar groaning, the music stops]
Li Li stands in the treehouse, and Edgar climbs through a hatch. Bumpi lifts him.
Bumpi says, GA-GA!
Li Li walks to a small round window with a bird's nest on a nearby branch. In the nest, three baby birds look up at the sky.
Li Li says, CAN YOU SEE ANYTHING?
[Birds chirping]
Bumpi says, OH, TA-TWEET-TWEET-TWEET-TWEET!
At the nest, a cardinal arrives carrying a worm.
Li Li says, BUMPI, YOU FOUND IT! THE SOUND WAS MADE BY A BIRD AND ITS TEENY TINY BABY BIRDS.
[Upbeat music plays]
Bumpi flies over to the nest shaped like a bird.
Bumpi says, AW! TWEET! TWEE-TWEE-TWEE-TWEE-TWEET!
In the treehouse, Li Li flaps her arms.
Bumpi and Li Li sing, TWEET-TWEET! TWEET-TWEET! TWEET-TWEET! TWEET-TWEET!
[Barking]
