[Upbeat music plays, spaceship whirring]
In a stop-motion animation, Bumpy, a globe-shaped yellow alien, pilots his spaceship to Earth.
Bumpi says, AH?
[Bumpi laughing]
Bumpi says, BUMPADOO!
[Popping, chiming]
Bumpi writes the show title with the smoke from the exhaust of his spaceship.

In her backyard, Li Li, a human girl with short black hair, performs cartwheels. Bumpi appears in the yard with her.
Bumpi says, WAH!
Li Li says, HI, BUMPI!
Bumpi says, HI, LI LI!
[Laughing]
Li Li hugs Bumpi.
Bumpi says, WOW!
[Yelling, slide whistles, Bumpi chuckling, crashing, the music stops]
Li Li hugs Bumpi tightly, and he flies up into the air. Bumpi bounces and lies as a puddle at the bottom of a slide.
Bumpi says, OOH. WHA?
[Upbeat music plays, twinkling, Li Li giggling]
Bumpi looks up at the gleaming slide.
Li Li says, THAT'S A SLIDE.
[Slide whistle]
The slide reflects in Bumpi’s eyes.
Bumpi says, SLOO?
[Li Li laughing]
Li Li says, A SLIDE!
Bumpi says, OH. HA!
[Grunting, slide whistle]
Beside the slide, Bumpi creates a bumpy slide-like shape.
Bumpi says, SLEE?
Li Li says, NO, THAT'S TOO SQUISHY.
Bumpi asks, SQUALLY?
[Bird chirping, squelching]
A cardinal flies into Bumpi’s side and sticks there.
Bumpi says, HUH?
[Bumpi chuckling, grunting]
Bumpy forms a slide with a steep, wavy curve.
Li Li says, ALMOST. SEE? THE SLIDE IS STRAIGHT, AND YOU'RE WAVY.
[Slide whistles, upbeat music continues]
An arrow by the slide makes a straight line. An arrow by Bumpi makes a wavy line.
Bumpi repeats, WAVY?
Li Li says, THE SLIDE HAS TO BE STRAIGHT SO WE CAN CLIMB UP AND SLIDE DOWN.
[Bumpi vocalizing, Li Li giggling, both laughing]
Bumpi offers various slide shapes, including a Swiss cheese slide, a steep slide, and a straight slide.
Bumpi says, GA-GA!
Li Li says, GOOD JOB!
[Bumpi chuckling]
Li Li says, I'M UP, AND NOW I GO DOWN. WEE!
[Slide whistle, laughing]
Li Li slides down her slide.
Bumpi says, OOH!
[Grunting, stretching, slide whistle]
Bumpi climbs the ladder and slides down the slide headfirst.
Bumpi says, GOO-GOO-GOO! WOW!
[Splatting, Li Li giggling, the music stops]
Bumpi flies off the end of the slide and passes Li Li.
Li Li says, BUMPI, YOU OKAY?
[Bumpi laughing, creaking, upbeat music plays]
Bumpi looks at a teeter-totter.
Bumpi says, YAY! OH.
Li Li says, THAT'S A TEETER-TOTTER. WAIT FOR ME!
Bumpi makes a teeter-totter shape.
Bumpi says, OOH. TE-TO-TA-TO.
[Creaking]
Li Li moves the end of the teeter-totter up and down.
Li Li says, YOU HAVE TO RIDE IT WITH SOMEONE ELSE. IT GOES UP AND DOWN. HERE, YOU SIT ON ONE END AND I'LL SIT ON THE OTHER.
[Slide whistles, thumping, the music stops]
Bumpi jumps onto the other end of the teeter-totter, and it hits the ground. Bumpi wobbles.
Bumpi says, OOH.
[Li Li giggling]
Li Li says, YOU'RE SILLY, BUMPI. YOU NEED TWO PEOPLE, ONE AND TWO.
[Upbeat music plays, creaking, slide whistles]
A one appears over Li Li, and a two appears over Bumpi. Li Li pushes down on her end of the teeter-totter, and Bumpi moves up.
Bumpi says, HUH? AH?
[Bumpi laughing, creaking]
They both ride the teeter-totter.
Li Li says, PUSH UP.
Bumpi says, OH?
[Popping, Bumpi chuckling, vocalizing, teeter-totter creaking]
Bumpi grows legs and pushes up. They ride the teeter-totter together.
Li Li says, AND WE GO DOWN.
Li Li cheers, WEE!
Bumpi says, WOW!
[Bumpi exclaiming]
Li Li says, WHEN YOU GO UP, I GO DOWN. WHEN YOU GO DOWN, I GO UP.
[Slide whistle, grunting]
Bumpi pushes hard against the ground and flies off the teeter-totter. He lands at the top of the slide.
Bumpi says, WOO!
[Li Li laughing, slide whistle, upbeat music plays]
Bumpi slides down the slide.
Li Li asks, DID YOU LIKE THAT, BUMPI?
Bumpi says, SLIDE, TEETER-TOTTER! SLIDE, TEETER-TOTTER!
Li Li asks, YOU WANNA RIDE THEM AGAIN?
[Slide whistle, creaking]
Bumpi stretches and rides both sides of the teeter-totter. He jumps onto the slide and slides down.
Bumpi says, WAH! OOP, DOON! BUMPADOO!
[Li Li laughing]
Bumpi rides both sides of the teeter-totter, jumps to the slide, and slides down.

[Slide whistle]
Bumpi slides down the letter P and lands as the dot beneath the exclamation mark.
