[Distant yelling]
Bumpi says, WAH-AH-AH-AH-AH!
[Yelling, slide whistles, thumping, Edgar yelping, groaning, ticking, splatting, Edgar grunting, Li Li chuckling]
Bumpi bounces into the room. He bounces off a toy, spins around on a clock hand, and lands by Edgar’s dog bed.
[The music stops]
Li Li says, OH, HI, BUMPI! I KNOW! I'LL DRAW YOU!
[Slide whistle]
Bumpi grows hair and flips it over his shoulder.
Bumpi says, OOH, BUMPI-DOO!
[Marker scratching]
Li Li says, I'LL START WITH A CIRCLE, FOR YOUR BODY. AND NOW I NEED TO ADD TWO MORE CIRCLES FOR YOUR EYES, AND THEN...
[Slide whistle]
Bumpi smiles broadly.
Li Li says, A BIG SMILE. TA-DA!
[Slide whistle, upbeat music plays]
Bumpi looks at the drawing.
Bumpi says, AH!
[Exclaiming, slide whistle]
Bumpi looks over Li Li’s shoulder.
Li Li says, LET'S FIND OTHER SHAPES TO DRAW.
[Cheerful music plays]
Li Li looks at a teapot and shakes her head.
Li Li says, HMM. MM, UH-UH.
[Rattling]
Bumpi smiles and shakes maracas.
Li Li says, NAH, LET'S KEEP LOOKING.
[Rattling]
Li Li says, HMM, OH!
[Li Li humming, slide whistle]
Li Li dances, and Bumpi throws the maracas away.
Bumpi says, WAH.
[Muttering, slide whistle, snoring, slide whistle, the music stops]
Bumpi searches in a toy chest and throws a bear stuffie on the dog bed. Edgar snuggles with the stuffie. Bumpi looks at a pink dollhouse.
Bumpi says, OH! HOOSE?
[Upbeat music plays, marker scratching, popping]
Li Li draws a purple square on a canvas. A number appears on each side of the square as Li Li counts them.
Li Li says, OOH, GOOD IDEA. I'LL DRAW MY DOLLHOUSE. MY DOLLHOUSE HAS TWO SHAPES. FIRST, I'LL DRAW A SQUARE FOR THE BOTTOM OF THE HOUSE. A SQUARE HAS ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR EQUAL SIDES.
[Grunting, slide whistle]
Bumpi changes into a rectangle.
Bumpi says, OH, SKA-WEH-WEH!
A number appears by each of Bumpi’s sides as Li Li counts them. She holds a ruler by two of his sides.
Li Li says, SO CLOSE, BUMPI. YOU DO HAVE ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR SIDES, BUT YOUR SIDES AREN'T EQUAL.
Bumpi says, BUMPI NO SQUARE?
[Marker scratching]
Li Li draws a rectangle.
Li Li says, NOPE, YOU'RE A RECTANGLE. YOU HAVE TWO SHORT SIDES AND TWO LONG SIDES.
[Triumphant music plays]
Bumpi changes into a square and smiles proudly.
Bumpi says, GA-YA!
Li Li says, YOU DID IT! NOW ALL FOUR OF YOUR SIDES ARE EQUAL, MAKING YOU A...
Bumpi says, SQUARE!
[Upbeat music plays, slide whistles]
Bumpi looks at the dollhouse roof and makes a straight side.
Li Li says, NOW WE NEED TO ADD THE ROOF. THE ROOF IS A TRIANGLE SHAPE. TRIANGLES HAVE ONE...
Bumpi says, TWO.
[Slide whistles]
Bumpi becomes a triangle.
Li Li says, THREE SIDES.
Bumpi says, GA-YA!
[Slide whistle, upbeat music plays]
As Li Li draws, Bumpi looks over her shoulder.
Li Li says, I ADDED SQUARES FOR WINDOWS AND A RECTANGLE FOR A DOOR.
[Slide whistle, grunting]
Bumpi changes into a house beside the dollhouse.
Bumpi says, GA-GA! HOOSE.
[Upbeat music plays]
Li Li says, BUMPI, DO YOU WANNA TRY DRAWING?

Bumpi grows five arms and draws quickly with five markers.
