Descriptive Transcript

[Cheerful music plays]

DESCRIPTION: A yellow creature rides on the top deck of a bus.

YELLOW CREATURE: Millie.

[Gulls call]

DESCRIPTION: A pink creature sails on a sailboat.

PINK CREATURE: Timber.

[Plane propeller whirs]

DESCRIPTION: A BLUE CREATURE PILOTS AN AIRPLANE.

BLUE CREATURE: Zo.

EVERYONE: The Treebees!

[Episode title] A Sailor Went to Sea.

DESCRIPTION: On a title card, a sailor wearing a red captain’s hat stands on the deck of a ship. On a small island, a smiling octopus waves beside a treasure chest. Nearby in the water, a seal holds a spyglass in their mouth.

[Bright music notes play]

TIMBER: A Sailor Went to Sea.

[Gulls call, wings flap, jaunty sea shanty music plays]

DESCRIPTION: A parrot flies to the ship deck and lands on the sailor’s hat. Zo, who wears a blue and white sailor’s outfit, waves at the bird flying overhead.

TIMBER SINGS: A sailor went to sea, sea, sea to see what he could see, see, see. But all that he could see, see, see, was the bottom of the deep blue sea.

[Water bubbles]

DESCRIPTION: The sailor peers through the spyglass and drops it overboard. Beneath the surface of the water, the seal and the octopus watch it sink.

TIMBER SINGS: So he went…

DESCRIPTION: The parrot brings the sailor a fishing rod.

TREEBEES SING: Doodle, leedle, loodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, leedle, loodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, deedle, do. Doodle, leedle, doodle, leedle, loo.

[Sea shanty music continues, hands clap, water splashes]

DESCRIPTION: The sailor fishes, and the seal claps. The seal surfaces holding the spyglass in their mouth and claps.

ZO SINGS: A sailor went to clap, clap, clap, to see what he could clap, clap, clap. But all that he could clap, clap, clap was the bottom of the deep blue clap. So he went…

[Seal barks]

DESCRIPTION: On the deck of the ship, the seal brings the spyglass to the sailor.

TREEBEES SING: Doodle, leedle, loodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, leedle, loodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, deedle, do. Doodle, leedle, doodle, leedle, loo.

[Octopus tentacles plop]

DESCRIPTION: The octopus sits on the railing and lifts their tentacles.

MILLIE SINGS: A sailor went to knee, knee, knee, to see what he could knee, knee, knee. But all that he could knee, knee, knee, as the bottom of the deep blue knee. So he went…

DESCRIPTION: The sailor peers through the spyglass and sees the small island with the treasure chest. They sail the ship towards it.

TREEBEES SING: Doodle, leedle, loodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, leedle, loodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, deedle, do. Doodle, leedle, doodle, leedle, loo.

DESCRIPTION: On the deck of the ship, the sailor looks around with his hand shading his eyes, claps his hands in the air and beneath his knee.

TREEBEES SING: A sailor went to sea, clap, knee, to see what he could see, clap, knee. But all that he could see, clap, knee, as the bottom of the deep blue sea, clap, knee.

DESCRIPTION: On the small island, the sailor opens the treasure chest and discovers gems and gold coins.

TREEBEES SING: Doodle, leedle, loodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, leedle, loodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, deedle, do. Doodle, leedle, doodle, leedle, loo.

ZO: Faster.

DESCRIPTION: On the small island, the sailor looks around with his hand shading his eyes, and claps his hands in the air and beneath his knee.

TREEBEES SING: A sailor went to sea, clap, knee, to see what he could see, clap, knee. But all that he could see, clap, knee, was the bottom of the deep blue sea, clap, knee.

DESCRIPTION: The sailor, octopus, and seal dance on the island. The octopus lifts their tentacles, and the seal claps.

TREEBEES SING: Doodle, leedle, loodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, leedle, loodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, deedle, do. Doodle, leedle, doodle, leedle, loo.

ZO: Faster!

DESCRIPTION: The sailor looks around quickly with his hand shading his eyes and claps his hands in the air and beneath his knee.

TREEBEES SING: A sailor went to sea, clap, knee, to see what he could see, clap, knee. But all that he could see, clap, knee, was the bottom of the deep blue sea, clap, knee.

DESCRIPTION: The ship sails away from the island.

TREEBEES SING: Doodle, leedle, loodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, leedle, loodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, leedle, loo. Doodle, deedle, do. Doodle, leedle, doodle, leedle, loo.

[Seal claps, sea shanty continues]

DESCRIPTION: On the deck of the ship, the sailor looks around with his hand shading his eyes and claps his hands in the air and beneath his knee. He, the seal, and the octopus gather around the open treasure chest.

TREEBEES CHANT: See, clap, knee. See, clap, knee. See, clap, knee.

[The music ends, gulls call]
