Split's pursuit of the Chillipede leads to a frenetic and spectacular journey until Split loses sight of the Chillipede in an overgrown root-maze and realizes they're lost, alone, and all of a sudden very scared. As Ginger harnesses her auditory skills as a Tricarrotops to listens intently for Split, the terrified Wasabi keeps interjecting with a bellowing shriek. Split hears the call from Wasabi and they hone in on each other through an operatic call and response. Ginger is increasingly nervous as she can hear rustling in the trees but they manage to find one another and make a mad dash out of the spooky forest and find their way home.

Hodge wants to be more independent, but Eddie never lets him do jobs on his own. So when Wilson startles Hodge, causing him to accidentally break a junction box, Hodge decides to deal with it himself. Using the crane, he jams the wires back in and shuts the doors. Easy. But then strange things start happening. Lights and signals stop working, Vee malfunctions and chuggers are sent to the wrong destinations. Hodge and Wilson realise it must have something to do with the box they broke! If Eddie finds out, he'll never trust Hodge to do anything on his own again - but if Hodge doesn't tell him, it could take Eddie days to figure out what's wrong. Hodge finally musters up his courage and confesses. A relieved Eddie fixes the box. Eddie promises he'll let Hodge do more jobs by himself and Hodge promises to tell Eddie straightaway when things go wrong.

When one of the baby Pea-Rexes gets the hiccups, Ginger and the other two try all manner of cures to get rid of them. Lying flat on their tummy, drinking lots (and lots and lots) of water, drinking water upside down, holding their breath, scaring them. Alas, not only does nothing work, the hiccups turn out to be contagious! After the first attempt to cure them, another of the Peas ends up with hiccups. The second attempt results in all three Peas hiccupping madly. The third?You guessed it, Ginger finds herself with hiccups too. In desperation, they try everything at once: dunking their heads in the Tundra Lake and holding their breath and drinking lots of water upside down while scared. It works! For about three seconds. Then they ALL hiccup at once, underwater, so loudly it wakes a napping Watermelonsuchus. It yawns massively - and accidentally sucks them all in. Startled, it spits them out, and they're cured! Hurrah! But - HICCUP - oh no, now the Watermelonsuchus has the hiccups.

One day, Daddy and the kittens are going to visit Grandpa but is something wrong with Daddy's car, it's overheating. Daddy calls a tow truck to take his car to the mechanic and the kittens are excited to learn about fixing cars. At the mechanic's shop the kittens learn that caring for a car is different from caring for a kitten, but both need regular check-ups. The mechanic finds the problem and is able to fix their car but it is too late to drive to Grandpa's house. When Daddy and the kittens get home they find a surprise guest is waiting for them!
