After learning that most plants always grow up towards the sky, the kids piece together the clues and discover that this plant spent some time on its side, and then some time right side up, resulting in the zig-zap pattern! The kids love the shape of this plant, and name it "the Zig Zag Plant. ---- Insect Day is coming up at school and Elinor couldn't be more thrilled to finish her home-made butterfly costume. However, she quickly runs into a problem because she can't drink anything when her hands are busy being the wings in her costume! Elinor sets out to solve the problem with her Dad by learning how real butterflies drink. After some careful watching, she realizes that a butterfly doesn't even have a mouth but a proboscis, which looks like a long straw, and that's how they drink nectar from a flower! This gives Elinor the idea to add a super long drinking straw to complete her costume.

When Irving leaves Koko in charge of the recycling yard, she's keen to show how responsible she is. In fact she's so excited, that she doesn't listen properly to his instructions. She ropes Wilson into helping her and loves having an 'employee' to boss around. Because she hasn't listened, things go very wrong: machinery gets clogged with paper, the pallets get knocked over - and Wilson accidentally drops a car full of recycling onto the crusher! Irving returns to find the yard in chaos. He's devastated. Koko feels terrible. She realizes that the responsible thing to do is to put everything right again. She and Wilson sneak into the yard and work all night to make everything shipshape again, just the way Irving likes it. All is forgiven when a happy Irving wakes up to a sparkling and organized yard!

B.O.T. also ends up getting stuck in a crater and ventures underground in this quest to collect the data and complete the mission.

The Bananaraptors are in hot pursuit of Ginger and the baby Pea-Rexes, who are perched on her horns. It's your usual Indiana Jones style epic chase with all the fun, jumps, leaps and near misses that eventually leads to the two Bananaraptors being trapped in a sink hole. Ginger and the baby Pea-Rex must help them out. If only they could roll that large round boulder into the hole, it would create a 'step ladder' out of there. Only problem is the boulder is way too heavy for Ginger and the Peas to push by themselves. And there are no big Vegesaurs around to help them either. So begins a fun Rube Goldberg style chain reaction set up that involves rolling a smaller boulder from higher up a slope so that it will hit another slightly bigger boulder which will roll off a ledge onto a see-saw like tree wedge under an even bigger boulder which should force it to roll down a step section with enough speed to knock the big boulder which is near the edge of the sink hole, into the hole! Of course, it all goes horribly wrong but ultimately the large boulder gets knocked into the hole, freeing the Bananaraptors!

Bebe and Mo go on their tablet to learn about all the different foods grown across Canada, and visit Chef Susur Lee at his restaurant Lee to learn how to make a delicious salad, while Gavin visits New Brunswick to learn how to harvest cranberries.
