(Cheery music plays)

A person sings, ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE.

The numberblocks one, two, three, four and five run beside each other.

They and the singer sing, NUMBERBLOCKS!

The person sings, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT, NINE, TEN.

The numberblocks six, seven, eight, nine and ten float beside each other.

They and the singer sing, NUMBERBLOCKS!

The person sings, ONE AND ANOTHER ONE IS TWO
AND ANOTHER ONE IS…

Three one numberblocks form to make a new numberblock.

The numberblock says, ME!

The person sings, THAT'S THREE!

Three juggles three red balls.

The person sings, FIVE, FOUR, THREE, TWO, ONE.

The numberblocks float together.

The person sings, TIME FOR SOME NUMBER FUN
YOU CAN COUNT ON US
WE'RE THE NUMBERBLOCKS!

Text reads, NumberBlocks.

(Cheery music plays)

In a forest, numberblocks one, four, nine and sixteen march in a line.

The numberblocks sing, EVEN THOUGH WE'RE DIFFERENT
SIZES,
YOU CAN ALWAYS RECOGNIZE US!
WE'RE AS TALL AS WE ARE WIDE,
WE'RE THE SAME TURNED ON ITS
SIDE!

The numberblocks flip onto their sides. Sixteen flips back.

Sixteen asks, WHO ARE WE?

Together, numberblocks say, SQUARE CLUB!

Four asks, WHERE ARE WE?

Nine says, GOOD QUESTION.

Nine looks worried. The numberblocks look around. Numberblock twenty one pops in. Twenty one is three blocks wide and seven blocktall.

Twenty one says, HELLO, THERE, SQUARES.
YOU GOT MY MESSAGE.

Twenty one carries a backpack.

They say, GOOD.
THERE'S SOMETHING OUT HERE
I THINK YOU'LL WANT TO EXPLORE.

Twenty one leads the squares through the forest. Leaves reveal a three leveled building with different sized levels.

The numberblocks say, OOH!

Twenty one says, LEGEND SAYS THIS
TEMPLE HOLDS THE SECRET TO
FINDING AN EVEN LARGER SQUARE
THAN SIXTEEN.

Sixteen asks, LARGER THAN ME?!
NO CHANCE.
I'M A REALLY BIG SQUARE.

Sixteen snorts. The squares follow Twenty one towards the temple.

Nine says, OOH, WHAT'S IN THERE?

The temple is a square. The bottom level is blue. The second level is yellow and slightly smaller. The third level is one single red square block. The square numberblocks follow twenty one into the temple.

The squares numberblocks say, OOH.

The squares look around. They look fascinated. One notices a stone against a wall and runs over. On the stone is tile of a one numberblock. Above it is a smaller one numberblock.

One says, HEY, THAT'S ME!

Four says, AND THAT'S ME WITH…

Four stands by a stone like one’s. On fours stone is a four numberblock made of tiles Above it, are two orange two numberblocks. Four briefly separates into two numberblocks. One of them wears a purple mask and the other a blue mask.

The twos chuckle. The twos combine back into four

Four says, ...THOSE TWO!

Four looks uncomfortable. Beside four’s stone is a larger stone with a nine numberblock made of tile. Above nine are three yellow three numberblocks.

Nine says, OH, THERE I AM.

Sixteen says, AND ME!

On the stone past nine, is a sixteen numberblock made of tile. Above sixteen are four green numberblocks.

Twenty one says, A WALL OF SQUARES.

Twenty one glances at the wall.

Twenty one counts, ONE, FOUR, NINE, SIXTEEN…

Twenty one takes a step back and reveals an even larger stone, but the pieces of tile have fallen off. Above the empty space are five blue numberblocks.

(Gasps)

Nine says, OH NO.
THE PIECES HAVE FALLEN OFF.

Nine looks sad.

Twenty one says, SO, WE'LL HAVE TO WORK IT
OUT FOR OURSELVES.
CAN YOU SPOT A PATTERN?

Twenty one gestures to the stones on the wall.

One says, OH, LOOK!
ONE LOT OF ONE MAKES A SQUARE.

Four says, TWO LOTS OF TWO MAKE A
SQUARE.

Nine says, THREE LOTS OF THREE
MAKE A SQUARE.

Sixteen says, FOUR LOTS OF FOUR MAKE A
SQUARE.

Twenty one gasps.

Twenty one asks, SO, WHAT COMES NEXT?

Together, the squares say, FIVE LOTS OF FIVE!

Sixteen says, SO, THIS PICTURE SHOULD BE A
SQUARE MADE UP OF FIVE LOTS OF
FIVE.

Twenty one says, LET'S FIND OUT!

One, four, nine and sixteen grunt and pant as they each throw pieces of tile at the stone. Sixteen throws the last pieces and steps away from the stone.

One says, FIVE ROWS WITH FIVE TILES IN
EACH ROW.
THAT MAKES ONE, TWO, THREE,
FOUR, FIVE.

Four counts, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT, NINE TEN.

Nine counts, ELEVEN, TWELVE, THIRTEEN,
FOURTEEN, FIFTEEN.

Sixteen counts, SIXTEEN, SEVENTEEN,
EIGHTEEN, NINETEEN, TWENTY.
TWENTY-ONE...

Twenty one says, KEEP GOING, BRAVE EXPLORERS.
YOU CAN DO THIS!

The square numberblocks say, UH…

Twenty one counts with the square numberblocks.

They count, TWENTY-TWO,
TWENTY-THREE, TWENTY-FOUR,
TWENTY-FIVE!

Twenty one says, SO, WE THINK THAT 25 IS A
SQUARE NUMBER.
LET'S FIND OUT IF WE'RE RIGHT.
WE'LL NEED A MAGIC MIRROR.

Twenty one looks around.

They say, OH, THERE'S ONE!

Twenty one runs across the room towards a mirror. Twenty one transforms into twenty by releasing a single numberblock. The numberblock one looks in the mirror, and the reflection magically steps out of the mirror. Three more reflections of numberblock one step out of the magic mirror, leaving five extra ones. They giggle. Numberblock twenty stands with one, four, nine and sixteen.

Twenty counts, TWENTY.

One by one the numberblock one’s from the mirror join twenty. The ones become numberblock two, three, four and five.

Twenty and the added numberblocks count, TWENTY-ONE,
TWENTY-TWO, TWENTY-THREE,
TWENTY-FOUR, TWENTY-FIVE!

Numberblock twenty now stands connected with numberblock five.

Together, one, four, nine and sixteen say, WELCOME TO SQUARE
CLUB!

The squares look uncertain and sigh. Twenty five does not look like a square.

Together, twenty and five ask, IS SOMETHING WRONG?

One says, YOU DON'T LOOK VERY SQUARE.
YOU ARE TWENTY-FIVE AREN'T YOU?

Together, twenty and five say, OF COURSE.
I'M…

Twenty says,  TWENTY.

Twenty’s blocks light up.

Five says, AND FIVE.

Five’s blocks light up.

Together, twenty and five say, TWENTY-FIVE.

All of twentys and fives blocks light up.

Sixteen says, DON'T GIVE UP, FELLOW
SQUARES.
WHEN IN DOUBT, SAY THE SQUARE
CLUB MOTTO.

Each square stands beside the stone with their square.

Together, the squares sing, EVEN THOUGH WE'RE DIFFERENT
SIZES,
YOU CAN ALWAYS RECOGNIZE US.
WE'RE AS TALL AS WE ARE WIDE,
WE'RE THE SAME TURNED ON ITS
SIDE!

The squares flip onto their sides.

One says, ONE BY ONE.

Four says, TWO BY TWO.

Nine says, THREE BY THREE.

Sixteen says, FOUR BY FOUR.

Twenty and five flip to form a square.

Together, they ask, FIVE BY FIVE?

Together, the other squares say, YOU ARE A SQUARE!

Together, twenty and five say, I'VE FIGURED MYSELF OUT.

Blue and yellow sparkles float around twenty and five. They transform into a new numberblock with blue eyebrows.

The numberblock says, I AM TWENTY-FIVE, AND I'M A
REALLY, REALLY BIG SQUARE.

The other squares cheer, HOORAY!

Twenty five gasps and says, OOH!

Twenty five runs to the other side of the room where there are other stones decorated with colorful patterns of twenty five blocks.

Twenty five says, LOOK AT ALL THESE
PRETTY PATTERNS.

Twenty five stands in front of the first stone and matches its pattern.

Twenty five says, OOH!

They move to the next stone and matches its pattern.

Twenty five says, I CAN MAKE PATTERNS, TOO.

They move to the next stone and match the pattern.

Twenty five says, OOH!

They move to the last stone while laughing.

One says, AND WE FOUND YOU BY
FOLLOWING A PATTERN.
ONE LOT OF ONE…

One briefly lights up.

One says, ...TWO LOTS OF TWO…

Four briefly lights up.

One says, ...THREE LOTS OF THREE…

Nine briefly lights up.

One says, ….FOUR LOTS
OF FOUR.

Sixteen briefly lights up.

Twenty five says, FIVE LOTS OF FIVE…

Twenty five briefly lights up.

Twenty five says, BUT WE
DON'T HAVE TO STOP THERE.
WE CAN KEEP FOLLOWING THE
PATTERN.

(Rumbling)

A door opens in the temple. Twenty five runs towards it.

Twenty five says, COME ON!
LET'S GO AND FIND SIX LOTS OF
SIX.

One says, AND SEVEN LOTS OF SEVEN.

Four says, EIGHT LOTS OF EIGHT.

Nine says, NINE LOTS OF NINE!

Nine laughs.
