[Happy music plays]
Voices sing, COLOURBLOCKS,
COLOURBLOCKS. RED AND
YELLOW AND BLUE.
COLOURBLOCKS, COLOURBLOCKS,
GREEN AND PURPLE AND ORANGE, TOO.
IN A MAGIC WORLD OF COLOURS,
LOOK WHAT WE CAN DO.
COLOURBLOCKS, COLOURBLOCKS,
WE'RE MIXING IT UP FOR YOU.
Colourful text reads, Colour Blocks, with the word “Colour” over the word “Blocks.” Each letter in the word “Colour” is a different colour and appears on top of a different shape.
Voices shout, COLOURBLOCKS!
The yellow O in “Blocks” turns into the yellow colourblock.
[Yellow giggles]
Red drives a red bus across a white landscape. Black, Orange, Grey, Purple, White and Green ride in the bus.
[Bus engine hums, giggling, cheerful music plays]
Red says, WELCOME TO THE NEXT
STOP OF RED'S COLOUR TOUR!
Red stops the bus.
[Bell dings]
Green says, EM, THERE'S NOT A LOT OF
COLOUR HERE.
Purple asks, WHAT IS THIS PLACE, RED?
Red says, OOH, I'M NOT SURE.
Orange points and says, HEY, WHAT'S THAT?
Red starts the bus and drives to a red carpet.
[Tires screech, engine hums]
Red says, A RED CARPET?
THIS LOOKS FAMILIAR.
Red jumps out of the bus and bounces to the carpet. A red crab climbs onto a white rock.
[Boings, ding, boings]
Red says, OH, YES!
HERE'S WHERE I DID MY VERY FIRST
COLOURING IN COLOURLAND A LONG
TIME AGO.
Everyone else says, OOH!
Red says, EVERYTHING LOOKS SO BRIGHT.
I'VE DISCOVERED DIFFERENT KINDS
OF RED SINCE I COLOURED HERE.
BRIGHT RED, PALE RED, DARK RED,
DULL RED, AND EVEN IN BETWEEN REDS.
Red fills a red bucket with a pink shovel, dark red sunglasses, and a dull red party hat.
[Slide whistle, thumping]
A red bird lands on Red’s finger and then takes off.
[Bird tweets, flapping]
Red says, LET'S MAKE THIS LOOK MORE
EXCITING BY RE-COLOURING ALL OF
THIS IN DIFFERENT REDS.
Red drives the bus and stops beside a different spot by the long red carpet. Red jumps out of the bus and the other colourblocks follow them.
[Boings, bus engine hums, ding, upbeat music plays]
Red stops beside a bowl of bright red cherries.
Red says, HM. THESE CHERRIES
WOULD LOOK BETTER IN A DARKER RED.
I'LL NEED BLACK'S HELP WITH THIS.
RED AND BLACK MIX TO MAKE DARK RED.
Black touches the cherries and colours them dark red.
[Chiming, Red giggles]
Red says, THANKS, BLACK.
FOLLOW ME!
Red runs to bright red roses on long white stems.
[Everyone chuckles, gentle music plays]
Red says, HM, SOME OF THESE ROSES
COULD BE A BIT LIGHTER.
[Gasps]
Red says, YES! A NICE PALE RED.
I COULD USE A BIT OF WHITE FOR THIS.
RED AND WHITE MIX TO MAKE PALE RED!
White touches the roses and they turn pink.
[Chiming]
White says, MM-HM!
[Red chuckles]
Red says, THAT REMINDS ME OF SOMEONE.
[Upbeat music plays]
Pink stops their pink car on the carpet and looks at the roses.
Pink says, OH, THAT'S PINK LIKE ME!
WHAT FUN. HAVE A NICE TOUR.
[Laughs, car engine hums]
Pink says, SEE YA!
Green says, THESE ROSES ARE VERY
NICE RED. BUT THEY'RE NOT QUITE FINISHED.
Red asks, THEY'RE NOT? OH!
[Red chuckles]
Red says, YOU'RE RIGHT, GREEN,
THEY NEED YOU!
Green says, GREEN!
Green colours the stems green.
[Chiming, Red laughs]
Red says, THANKS, GREEN!
NOW THEY'RE PERFECT.
SO MUCH RE-COLOURING TO DO.
[Gasps]
Red says, OOH! OVER THERE.
Red runs to three bright red balloons. Two balloons are round and the balloon in the middle is heart-shaped.
[Gasps]
Red says, I LOVE THE BALLOON IN THE
MIDDLE…
The other colourblocks arrive at the balloons.
[Boings, whooshing, gentle music plays]
Red continues, …BUT MAYBE IT WOULD STAND
OUT MORE IF THE BALLOONS ON THE
SIDE OF IT WERE NOT AS BRIGHT.
YES, THESE NEED GREY.
RED AND GREY MIX TO MAKE A
DULLER RED.
Grey touches the two round balloons and colours them dull red.
[Chiming]
Red says, THE TWO DULLER BALLOONS
MAKE THE HEART BALLOON LOOK
MORE COLOURFUL.
OOH, NOW WHAT ELSE SHOULD WE
RE-COLOUR?
[Red giggles]
Red says, OH, FOLLOW ME.
Red leads the other colourblocks to three large red lollipops.
[Boings, whooshing]
Red says, HM, THIS LOLLIPOP WOULD LOOK
BETTER WITH A TOUCH OF ORANGE.
Orange runs to Red.
[Whoosh]
Orange says, FIT AND READY TO GO!
Red says, RED AND A TOUCH OF--
Orange says, ORANGE.
[Chiming]
Red says, MAKES...
Red and Orange say, ORANGEY RED!
The middle lollipop turns orangey red.
[Chiming]
Red says, NICE! NOW, LET'S TRY EVEN
MORE ORANGE.
Orange says, WE'LL NEED A TOUCH OF ORANGE
AND ANOTHER TOUCH OF ORANGE.
Orange colours the red lollipop on the right with orange.
[Chiming]
Red says, OOH, THAT'S AN EVEN
MORE ORANGEY RED.
NOW, WE'VE GOT A RED LOLLIPOP,
AN ORANGEY RED LOLLIPOP…
Orange says, AND AN EVEN MORE
ORANGEY RED LOLLIPOP.
Red says, SO MANY DIFFERENT
TYPES OF RED.
[Red giggles]
Purple touches red jelly.
[Chiming]
Purple says, PURPLEY RED.
Orange touches red peppers.
[Chiming]
Orange says, ORANGEY RED.
White touches a pair of red boots and colours them pink. Black touches a different pair and colours them dark red.
[White giggles, upbeat music plays]
Black says, TA-DA!
Soon, Red sits beside the red crab on a white hill.
[Gentle music plays]
Red says, AH, PHEW.
RE-COLOURING EVERYTHING WAS A
BIG JOB.
[Boing]
Green says, WELL, THERE'S ONE THING
YOU'VE FORGOTTEN.
Red says, HUH?
I THOUGHT I'D RECOLOURED
EVERYTHING.
Red stands and follow Green to the bus.
Purple says, YOU GAVE US A TOUR, SO WE
WANTED TO DO SOMETHING FOR YOU
IN RETURN.
The side of the bus has many shades of red. The seats are pink.
[Red gasps]
Red says, WOW, YOU'VE RECOLOURED
MY BUS IN LOTS OF DIFFERENT REDS.
THERE'S BRIGHT RED, DARK RED,
PALE RED, THAT'S PINK, DULL RED,
ORANGEY RED, REDDY ORANGE,
PURPLISH RED, AND REDDY PURPLE!
[Whooshing, Red laughs, gentle music plays]
Red says, THANKS, EVERYONE.
NOW, ALL ABOARD.
[Zooming, seatbelts click]
Red says, WE NEED TO GET TO THE
RED CANYON TO WATCH THE RED SUNSET.
[Door slams, Red giggles]
Orange cheers, WOO-HOO, LET'S GO!
[Bus engine hums, happy exclamations, giggling]
Orange says, I LOVE A SUNSET, I DO.
[Happy music plays]
