LET'S BEGIN THE VIDEO.

The teacher turns on the TV.

Leah says HI, I'M LEA.
I'M HERE IN THE PARLIAMENT
BUILDINGS IN OTTAWA ONTARIO, AND
THIS IS MY CANADA.
TODAY I'M HANGING OUT WITH JULIE
WHO'S A TOUR GUIDE HERE IN THE
PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS.
SO WHERE ARE WE IN THE
PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS RIGHT NOW?

Julie is in her late twenties with shoulder-length wavy brown hair. She wears a blue jacket with buttons.

Julie says WE'RE CURRENTLY IN THE
HOUSE OF COMMONS FOYER, AND MUCH
LIKE YOU'RE INTERVIEWING ME
RIGHT NOW, THIS IS WHERE
JOURNALISTS CAN INTERVIEW
PARLIAMENTARIANS.

Leah says SO IT HAPPENS LIKE,
RIGHT HERE?

Julie says RIGHT WHERE WE'RE
STANDING.

Leah says THAT'S REALLY COOL.
SO WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS
THAT I'M LOOKING AT RIGHT NOW?

They look up to a detailed sculptured roof.

Julie says WELL, WE'RE LOOKING AT
ALL SORTS OF DIFFERENT
SCULPTURES WHICH REPRESENT
VARIOUS PEOPLES AND VARIOUS
PLACES IN CANADA.
NOW YOU'LL ACTUALLY NOTE OVER
THERE THAT WE HAVE A MINER, AND
THIS REPRESENTS AN INDUSTRY
ASSOCIATED WITH ONTARIO, MINING.
BUT THERE'S ALSO A LOT OF
UNCARVED SPACES IN PARLIAMENT SO
THAT FUTURE GENERATIONS CAN ALSO
ADD TO THE BUILDING.
IT'S NOT JUST A BUILDING OF THE
PAST BUT PRESENT AND FUTURE AS
WELL.

Leah says THAT'S REALLY COOL, AND
IT'S REALLY NICE TO THINK THAT
MAYBE ME AND MY FRIENDS CAN
CONTRIBUTE TO THE PARLIAMENT AS
WELL.

Julie says ABSOLUTELY.

Leah says WELL THANK YOU SO MUCH
