The group splits up and each of the kids each observe interesting birds and each conclude that birds need feathers for different reasons: to fly, to stay warm, and for decorations, sort of like their very own version of clothes! Ms. Mole confirms they are ALL right. In the end Ari realizes there's another cool thing you can do with a feather - it makes a perfect sandcastle flag!

Success - the magnet gets the keys, so JoJo and Gran Gran can go to the park. Inventing was fun!

When Bamboo Love completes a melody on her Violin, she is very proud of herself. Full of pride, Bamboo Love packs away the Violin and suddenly hears a similar melody off in the distance. Curious, Bamboo Love listens and follows the soothing sound to find another panda playing a unique instrument from China called the Erhu. During some playful mischief making, Minty is flung far, far, far across the Valley and lands in unfamiliar territory. Alone, they have to find their way back, as Ginger and the other two Pea-Rexes try to find them. Minty's thrilled to come across a Baby Bokchoydactyl, and realises to their delight that it's the very same laughing bok they taught to fly! With the bok's help, Minty gets on board and flies through the valley, searching for Home Base and Ginger ... but in the air, Minty is disoriented - everything looks different up here - and communicating with the baby bok is quite hard... it can't see Minty pointing left or right. Eventually they figure out a way to communicate, Minty steering the Bokchoydactyl by pulling its ears/leaves... and slowly Minty starts to recognise familiar parts of the valley below. Meanwhile Ginger does likewise, enlisting the adult Bok to help her fly too. Ginger however isn't a natural in the air and has a few falls and near misses... but when she finally gets the hang of it, she's struck by the majesty of the valley below. Ginger and Minty ultimately find each other, the Baby Bok flying too hard/enthusiastically and colliding with its mother, sending Ginger and Minty tumbling... back to home base as the Bokchoydactyls fly off happily. Having made it home safely, Minty makes the same mistake, repeating the shenanigans and being flung far, far, far across the Valley.

Before they can make it home, their car gets stuck in the snow and the kittens must ski through the snowy hills to make it home in time. The kittens learn that the best place to celebrate is home with their family!
