Raven's Quest
Papatsie is an Inuk girl who lives in Ottawa, Ontario. She's 9 years old. Papatsie's English name is Keely, but she likes to be called Papatsie, which means "great provider". It's a name she inherited from her Grandfather, who once saved his Northern village from hunger by bringing back seals to feed everyone.
Papatsie's room is filled with paintings by her father - he's an artist. Papatsie likes to draw and make art projects too! She plays the ukulele, and shows us one of her favourite photos of a trip she took to Niagara Falls with her family. Her best friend is Kendal, and when they aren't doing arts and crafts or playing in the park together, they throat sing.
Papatsie explains that throat singing is a friendly competition, usually between two women. You win when you make the other person laugh. At the Museum, Papatsie and Kendal show us the Inuit exhibit. One of Papatsie's favourite places is the Ottawa Inuit Children's Centre where she and Kendall go after school. They play traditional games and learn about their culture. Papatsie and Kendall have a throat singing competition, and Papatsie wins!

Vegesaurs
Ginger and the Pea-Rexes have made it to the peak of the Snowy Mountains. They have fun exploring the new terrain, building snow-saurs and having snowball fights... so much fun in fact they manage to wake a baby Kiwimammuthus from its hibernation. Ginger and the Pea-Rexes are at first wary of this vast creature, having only ever seen it from a distance. However it's just as intrigued by them as they are by it, and it wants to play! But as Ginger and the Pea-Rexes try to involve it in their games, it keeps nodding off, losing count in hide and seek, and sliding down canyon walls in a slumber before startling awake. Each time it nods off, Ginger and the Pea-Rexes try to sneak away and allow it to hibernate, but it keeps fighting sleep, desperate to play. Ginger realizes the huge baby needs sleep way more than play, so makes a game out of sleeping, which is ultimately successful in lulling the Kiwimammuthus back into hibernation. Thrilled with her success, Ginger moves to sneak off only to realize the game has put the Pea-Rexes to sleep too!

Joshua is a 12-year-old Ojibwe boy from Curve Lake, Ontario. He's passionate about baseball and it's his favourite thing to do. Sometimes when he plays with his friends the games last all day long! His best friend is Carter - they love to play Manhunt in the forest and video games together at home. Joshua is an accomplished drummer. He drums at pow-wows and has a group called the Redpath Singers. Together they all go to local schools to teach other kids about drumming and Ojibwe traditions. At the local Curve Lake pow-wow, Jacob gives us a tour and shows us the special osprey nest that the kids in his community built for the bird.
Joshua's special word is "dewe'igan" which is "drum" in Ojibwe.
