PEOPLE: Wild Kratts.
DESCRIPTION: In outer space, the Earth spins.
[Whooshing]
[Gentle music plays]
MARTIN: A giant sphere floating in space, Earth is a planet with so many incredible shapes.
DESCRIPTION: A view from above shows a dense tree canopy. Chris and Martin Kratt step into view through an opening in the trees. Chris wears a green shirt, and Martin wears a blue shirt.
MARTIN: We're here, walking in the woods.
CHRIS: It's us, the Kratt Brothers.
DESCRIPTION: In the woods, the Kratt Brothers, Martin and Chris, walk down a trail.
CHRIS: I'm Chris.
MARTIN: I'm Martin.
CHRIS: When you're out in the woods, you can see so many shapes in nature.
MARTIN: Yeah, look around.
DESCRIPTION: Martin stands between low-hanging branches of a tree with big leaves.
MARTIN: Look at this heart-shaped leaf. The heart-shaped leaf of a basswood tree!
DESCRIPTION: Martin gently pulls down a leaf. A shining light outlines the heart shape of the leaf. Elsewhere in the woods, Chris points to a hole in a tree.
CHRIS: See, the circle? Nest holes for birds and other animals.
DESCRIPTION: A bright light outlines the circular shape in the tree. In a nest, a bird feeds its chicks.
[Chicks chirping]
DESCRIPTION: Martin holds an animal curled up into a ball.
MARTIN: And here's a creature with a lot of shapes.
CHRIS: The three-banded armadillo.
MARTIN: Yeah, check it out. There's like, circles here all over, and rectangles in the back.
DESCRIPTION: A bright light outlines circular and rectangular shapes on the armadillo’s hard shell.
CHRIS: And look at this side. The head and tail are triangles.
MARTIN: All of these shapes together give this three-banded armadillo the ability to close up into a complete ball.
CHRIS: And check this out. Let's see if we can get him to put them together. See? They fit together perfectly.
DESCRIPTION: Chris gently taps on the armadillo’s head.
CHRIS: The armadillo tucks in its triangular head and tail,
MARTIN: Make a rectangle.
[Chris chuckling]
MARTIN: What an incredible defence of shapes. Aw, wow. Alright, let's see this armadillo in action.
DESCRIPTION: The armadillo uncurls from its ball shape, and Martin sets it on the ground. Martin lies on the ground and watches the armadillo scurry about.
MARTIN: He's running on the tips of his claws.
CHRIS: The armadillo's claws are so big because they dig for their food. They dig for ants, termites, beetles, and digging is an armadillo's creature power.
MARTIN: Armadillos are such amazing and bizarre creatures.
CHRIS: Imagine if we had armadillo powers.
DESCRIPTION: Back on their feet, Chris and Martin jump forward.
CHRIS AND MARTIN: What if?
[Exciting music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris transform into cartoon versions of themselves. Martin wears a blue zipper jacket, and Chris wears a green zipper jacket. They both wear white T-shirts, beige shorts and dark purple hiking boots. Martin and Chris share a look and start running.
[Energetic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In animation, a paw icon spins and becomes a map of the world.
SINGER: On adventure with the coolest creatures, from the oceans to the trees. The Brothers Kratt are going places you never get to see! Hanging with their creature friends, get ready, it's the hour.
DESCRIPTION: Martin swims with a shark. Chris swings on vines through a jungle. Martin and Chris fly on bees. In the Tortuga, a flying tortoise ship, brown-haired biomechanical engineer Aviva, black-haired mechanical engineer Koki, and red-haired pilot Jimmy Z watch Martin and Chris visit with a young anteater, a baby rhino and a leopard cub.
SINGER: We're gonna save some animals today with: Creature Power!
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris press Power Discs into their Creature Power suit vests and activate different animal powers. Martin uses an eagle disc, and Chris uses a winged lizard disc.
SINGER: Gonna go wild with Wild Kratts, gonna go wild, wild, wild Kratts. Gonna go wild with Wild Kratts, gonna go wild, wild, wild.
DESCRIPTION: Martin’s suit transforms him into an eagle. Chris’s suit transforms him into a winged lizard.
SINGER: Cheetah speed and lizard glide. Falcon flight and lion pride!
DESCRIPTION: Martin runs beside a cheetah in a cheetah suit. Chris flies behind a winged lizard in his lizard suit. Martin follows an eagle through the air in his eagle suit. Chris stands beside a lion in a lion suit.
SINGER: Gonna go wild with wild Kratts, gonna go wild, wild, wild Kratts. Wild Kratts! Gonna go wild with wild Kratts, gonna go wild, wild, wild Kratts.
DESCRIPTION: A crocodile snaps at Martin. A squid wraps itself around a whale. Martin runs into a lion, and Chris flies into a tree. In their Creature Power suits, Martin and Chris jump into a forest clearing.
SINGER: Go wild, wild, wild Kratts!

[Gentle music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Martin announces the episode title.
MARTIN: Shapes of the Armadillo.
DESCRIPTION: In a desert, Jimmy Z lounges in a hammock outside the Tortuga and plays a lemur video game. In the game, the lemur jumps across trees collecting balls. Martin sits cross-legged with a notepad. Chris sits on a boulder with a pile of Power Discs on a flat boulder.
[Video game music plays]
[Text reads] Created by Martin Kratt, Chris Kratt. Written by Martin Kratt. Directed by Martin Kratt, Louis Champagne.
MARTIN: I love shapes.
CHRIS: That's cool.
DESCRIPTION: Chris cleans a power disc with a cloth. The disc shines, and he looks at his reflection.
MARTIN: Aren't you gonna ask me why?
CHRIS: Uh, okay. Why? Why do you love shapes?
MARTIN: Because you can use shapes to draw anything. Look, a circle makes the head. I draw two triangles for ears. Two ovals for eyes, two more circles for the muzzle. A rectangle, two short sides and two long sides for the jaw...
DESCRIPTION: Martin draws in his notebook.
CHRIS: ...and how about a square for the nose?
MARTIN: Yes! And a square, where all sides are equal for the nose.
CHRIS: Nice! You've just got to add some circle spots to make it an ocelot. Now, I've gotta get back to my circles.
DESCRIPTION: Chris picks up another animal power disc. Aviva and Koki walk over to Martin.
AVIVA: Hey, whatcha drawing? Ooh, an ocelot! Pretty good, Martin. There are a lot of amazing shapes in nature. I found a rock that's a triangle. Three points and three sides.
KOKI: And I've got a stone that's a square.
DESCRIPTION: Aviva and Koki hold up their rocks. Jimmy Z walks over with his own shape.
JIMMY Z: And my rock is a circle, round.
AVIVA: Yeah, a three-dimensional circle, also known as a sphere.
DESCRIPTION: Jimmy Z frowns at the sphere, which has circles and rectangles on it.
JIMMY Z: A sphere?
CHRIS: Yeah, right, except for one thing. The sphere is not a rock. It's an animal!
JIMMY Z: What?!
DESCRIPTION: The sphere, an animal, uncurls, revealing itself as an armadillo.
JIMMY Z: Aahhh!!!
DESCRIPTION: Jimmy Z throws the armadillo.
CHRIS: Whoa!!
DESCRIPTION: Chris runs. He dives to the ground and catches the armadillo.
CHRIS: Gotcha!
MARTIN: Nice catch, Chris!
DESCRIPTION: Martin joins Chris and waves.
MARTIN: And hello, armadillo.
CHRIS: Oh, the skin feels hard. It must be all these bony plates - all different shapes, rectangles...
MARTIN: ...circles, oval, both curved with no corners.
DESCRIPTION: Martin points to the armadillo, and the armadillo sniffs Martin’s finger.
[Martin chuckling]
CHRIS: And look, on top of his head and his tail are both triangles!
MARTIN: And those two triangles come together to make a rectangle! Which protects the armadillo's soft belly! The armadillo armour is made of so many different shapes, and that's what we'll call you: Shapes. Shapes, the armadillo.
DESCRIPTION: Shapes, the armadillo, walks around.
[Intense music plays]
DESCRIPTION: A Zachbot appears from behind a nearby bush and points a lens toward the Kratt Brothers team. Above, Zach Varmitech’s plane swoops through the sky. At the controls, Zach watches the team.
ZACH: Big deal! My Zachbots have shapes, like circles and triangles.
DESCRIPTION: Zach appears on the Tortuga screen.
ZACH: My shapes are better than their shapes.
DESCRIPTION: Zach leans forward and hits his head.
ZACH: Ow!
[Kratt brothers team laughing]
DESCRIPTION: Zach looks around.
ZACH: Can they hear me?
DESCRIPTION: Two Zackbots share a look and glance back at Zach.
ZACH: My Zachbot shapes are better than their weird creature shapes. And I'll prove it!
[Zach laughing evilly]
ZACH: Their shapes against my shapes, and my shapes will win!
[Throat clearing]
AVIVA: Uh... we can hear you, Zach.
ZACH: Ooooohhhhhh! Well, my shapes are so amazing.
KOKI: We don't even have to listen to that.
ZACH: So precise...
DESCRIPTION: Koki ends Zach’s video call.
AVIVA: Yeah, because nature's shapes are so inspiring!
KOKI: You can study the science of shapes, geometry, just by being in nature.
CHRIS AND MARTIN: Animals can take you anywhere in science!
AVIVA: There's so much we can learn from them.
KOKI: Like, how does rolling into a circle, a ball, help an armadillo?
CHRIS: That's a great question, and here comes the answer.
[Tense, dramatic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: A spotted animal peeks out from between two bushes and watches the armadillo.
CHRIS AND MARTIN: Ocelot!
DESCRIPTION: The ocelot runs toward the armadillo.
AVIVA: No! Stop!
JIMMY Z: Ah! I can't watch!
DESCRIPTION: Jimmy Z covers his eyes with his hands, then uncovers one eye. The armadillo spots the ocelot and curls up into its sphere shape. The ocelot tackles the armadillo and gnaws on its body.
KOKI: Let it go!
CHRIS: He's okay!
DESCRIPTION: Jimmy Z uncovers both his eyes.
MARTIN: Nothing to worry about. With that bony skin, rolling into a ball gives the armadillo complete protection. Even from the jaws and claws of an ocelot.
CHRIS: Exactly! The hard surface and the circle shape gives the ocelot no edges to bite on.
DESCRIPTION: The ocelot scratches at the armadillo. It swats the armadillo and walks away.
CHRIS: Rolling up into a ball is the armadillo's protection. All those bony plates keep it from harm.
MARTIN: It's natural armour.
AVIVA: Of course! The word 'armadillo' comes from the Spanish word, armadura, which means "armoured". Shapes, you are amazing!
DESCRIPTION: Chris holds the armadillo. The armadillo gazes up at Aviva. In his plane, with his arms crossed, Zach taps his foot.
ZACH: “Shapes are amazing, you're so cute.” Blah, blah, blah! I'll show that pretender inventor how my Zachbot shapes are better than her animal shapes!
[Zach chuckling]
ZACH: And I think I know a way to do it!
[Zach laughing evilly]
[Whooshing]
MARTIN: Shapes the armadillo is incredible!
CHRIS: Oh, imagine what an Armadillo Power Suit would be like?
AVIVA: Well, we've already learned a lot about armadillo armour - I can get started on that!
KOKI: And the way they use shapes. Oh, geometry is my favourite subject. I want to help build this one.
AVIVA: Great! And you, bro's, keep getting more information to add!
DESCRIPTION: Koki takes Shapes from Chris and leaves with Aviva.
KOKI: Oh, lucky me, shapes are my favourite!
CHRIS: Hey...
DESCRIPTION: In the Tortuga, Koki places Shapes on the table.
AVIVA: There are so many shapes on an armadillo's armour.
KOKI: It is like a puzzle of shapes. Here's a circle, round, no corners.
AVIVA: A square, four points, four equal sides.
KOKI: Oval, no corners, but more egg-shaped.
AVIVA: Rectangle, four points, four sides, but two longer sides and two shorter sides.
KOKI: Even a hexagon, six points, six sides.
DESCRIPTION: The different shapes on Shapes light up.
AVIVA: Each of these hundreds of shapes is a bony plate, connected by soft skin underneath, which keeps the shell pliable.
KOKI: An engineering marvel!
CHRIS: Uh, can we have the armadillo back?
DESCRIPTION: Chris stands at the door with Martin.
[Aviva giggling]
AVIVA: Aw... we hoped you wouldn't notice.
MARTIN: Uh, we kind of need Shapes to show us more abilities, skills and powers. Right, Shapes?
DESCRIPTION: Shapes walks around the table. Shapes stops and looks up toward Martin and Chris. In Zach’s plane, Zach paces in front of his rows of Zachbots.
ZACH: Zachbots, soon we will go to the Wild Kratts and prove that our shapes are better than nature's shapes. Now, we practice. Present shapes! Triangle!
[Beeping and clanking]
DESCRIPTION: The Zachbots’ heads and arms retract, and they take the shape of a triangle.
ZACH: Square!
[Beeping and clanking]
DESCRIPTION: The Zachbots come together in pairs and take the shape of a square.
ZACH: Circle!
[Beeping and clanking]
DESCRIPTION: The Zachbots separate. They collapse into the shape of a circle.
ZACH: Sphere!
[Beeping and clanking]
DESCRIPTION: The Zachbots retract and expand their parts and take the shape of a sphere.
ZACH: Oh, yes, we will definitely show them that our shapes are better!
[Zach laughing evilly]
ZACH: Let's roll out!
[Rumbling]
DESCRIPTION: The plane shakes. In their sphere shape, the Zachbots roll across the floor.
ZACH: I didn't mean literally! I mean, let's roll out, as in let's go to where the Wild Kratts are!
DESCRIPTION: The Zachbots roll back and forth. The plane tilts, and Zach falls.
ZACH: Whoa!
[Clattering]
DESCRIPTION: Outside the Tortuga, Jimmy Z lies in the hammock. Martin and Chris walk over with Shapes.
MARTIN: All right Shapes, let's see some more of your creature powers.
DESCRIPTION: Martin sets Shapes down on the ground. Shapes walks around.
JIMMY Z: Yeah, what else can an armadillo do?
CHRIS: That! Claws dig for food in the dirt. Armadillos are great diggers.
DESCRIPTION: Shapes digs shallow holes in the dirt.
MARTIN: One of the best diggers in the creature world.
CHRIS: Right up there with aardvarks.
DESCRIPTION: Chris pulls out his tablet and scrolls through pictures of different animals, including an aardvark and a sloth bear. Martin and Jimmy Z look over Chris’s shoulder.
MARTIN: Ooh, and sloth bears.
CHRIS: What do they all have in common?
JIMMY Z: Long curved claws?
CHRIS: Yes!
JIMMY Z: Those claws can really move dirt.
CHRIS: Shapes found some ants!
MARTIN: Oooh, that must be yummy for Shapesy.
DESCRIPTION: Shapes digs a hole, and ants scurry out. Shapes sticks their nose in the hole. Chris and Jimmy Z share a look.
JIMMY Z: Blahhh!
CHRIS: Those very long, curved claws for digging are most important. But they also present a problem. How do you walk with claws like that?
JIMMY Z: How?
MARTIN: The three-banded armadillo has a very unique running style. When a three-banded armadillo runs, it runs on the tips of its claws. Like tippy toes. Literally running on the tips of the toenails.
JIMMY Z: Ohh.
DESCRIPTION: Shapes runs and digs in the dirt.
MARTIN: Look at that, tippy-toeing.
[Martin chuckling]
AVIVA: Oh, that's so funny.
DESCRIPTION: Martin, Chris, and Jimmy Z glance to their left. Aviva walks over with Koki.
AVIVA: I can definitely use that for the running power of the armadillo suit. You are so fun!
KOKI: And cute!
DESCRIPTION: Aviva and Koki walk away with Shapes.
CHRIS: Hey... there she goes again! With our armadillo!
MARTIN: Don't sweat it, bro. Aviva is programming Armadillo Power suits. That's what we want, right? So, we can just find another armadillo.
CHRIS: Ah, that's not so easy. Nocturnal, skittish, live in burrows. Armadillos are not easy to find. Especially three-banded armadillos like Shapes. They're endangered. Do you know how lucky we got to find just one three-banded armadillo?!
JIMMY Z: Uh, guys, I think we just got luckier!
[Chris gasping]
DESCRIPTION: A three-banded armadillo climbs up a mound of dirt with two young armadillos.
CHRIS: Armadillo babies!
MARTIN AND CHRIS: Armadillo babies! Armadillo babies!
CHRIS: Uh... wait, I think they're called pups.
MARTIN: Armadillo puppies!
MARTIN AND CHRIS: Armadillo puppies!
MARTIN, CRIS AND JIMMY Z: Armadillo puppies!
DESCRIPTION: The armadillo mother looks at her pups and continues toward Martin, Chris and Jimmy Z.
CHRIS: Ah, they are so cute! We better learn about them fast before Aviva "borrows" them again.
MARTIN: Yeah, and I'd better name 'em fast too.
CHRIS: Yeah.
DESCRIPTION: Martin sits beside the armadillo mother and pups. Chris kneels.
[Chris gasping]
CHRIS: Okay, so their skin is leathery when they're born.
MARTIN: I'll call you... Leather Jacket!
CHRIS: Which has certain protection, but the harder bony shapes quickly develop, like the ones on the armadillo mom.
MARTIN: Yeah, ooh, got one. I'll name you... Mommadillo! An armadillo mom usually has one pup, but our Mommadillo has two pups. Boy, that's rare, so I need a name for the second. Hmm...
DESCRIPTION: Of the two armadillo pups, the pinkish-coloured pup steps out from beside its mother, Mommadillo.
[Martin chuckling]
CHRIS: The pups already have long claws and run along on the tips of their claws. Look at them tippy-toeing along!
DESCRIPTION: The pinkish-coloured pup runs circles around Mommadillo with its sibling, the lighter-coloured armadillo, Leather Jacket.
MARTIN: Tippy-toeing. Oh, that's it! Your name is, Tippy Toes!
[Martin chuckling]
DESCRIPTION: Koki and Aviva walk over to the group.
AVIVA: Hey, guys!
[Aviva slowly gasping]
AVIVA: What?!? Baby armadillos?!
JIMMY Z: Oh, they're called pups.
KOKI: What? You found armadillo pups, and you didn't tell us?!?
DESCRIPTION: The pups walk over to Koki and Aviva, who kneel. Koki pets Tippy Toes, and Aviva pets Leather Jacket. Martin and Chris share a nervous look.
CHRIS: Surprise!
MARTIN: That's Tippy Toes, and that's Leather Jacket. And Mommadillo, of course.
KOKI: Aww, you're so cute!
AVIVA: You're such a sweetie! Oooohhh.
MARTIN: Told ya. They're playing with armadillo puppies now.
CHRIS: Ohhhh, we're never going to get our Armadillo Power Suits. We were so close... yet so far.
KOKI: Relax.
AVIVA: We're done.
KOKI: And this is our reward. Playing with armadillo puppies!
AVIVA: Because the Armadillo Power Suit programming is complete, and ready for action. C'mon!
DESCRIPTION: In the Tortuga, the Kratt Brothers team stands at the table. Chris and Martin wear their Creature Suit vests and gloves. Aviva holds up two purple armadillo Power Discs.
CHRIS: Amazing!
MARTIN: Thanks, Aviva!
[Ringing]
DESCRIPTION: The team turns to the screen. On a video call, Zach turns away from his Zachbots to face them.
ZACH: Oh, hello, Wild Rats.
CHRIS: That's Wild Kratts! What do you want, Zach?
DESCRIPTION: Martin walks over to the door and looks outside.
MARTIN: Uh, he's right here.
DESCRIPTION: Zach walks toward the Tortuga with four of his Zachbots.
ZACH: What do I want, you ask? I want to show you that my Zachbot's shapes are better than your animal shapes.
DESCRIPTION: The Kratt Brothers team walk down the Tortuga ramp and frown.
ZACH: We triangle-ate, encircle and are squarely better than you, and I'll prove it!
[Zach laughing evilly]
ZACH: Your shapes against my shapes, and my shapes will win!
AVIVA: Oh, come on, Zach, not right now.
KOKI: We're right in the middle of something.
ZACH: Well, if you're not convinced... behold! My head is the shape of... A perfect triangle!!
[Chris gasping]
CHRIS: His head is a perfect triangle!
[Martin gasping]
MARTIN: I never noticed that before!
KOKI: Three points.
JIMMY Z: Three sides.
ZACH: A perfect tri-angle!
DESCRIPTION: Zach makes a triangle over his triangular head with his arms.
MARTIN: Wait, who cares if his head is a triangle? Armadillo powers are better than anything he can come up with. He just always copies from nature anyways.
ZACH: Since my head is a perfect triangle, I already won the head-shape competition. Zach Varmitech - one, Wild Kratts - zero! Next up will be a contest between my Zachbots and your armadilly-o powers. In the form of Genius Inventor Bowling.
DESCRIPTION: Behind everyone, Shapes walks down the Tortuga ramp. Koki glances at Aviva and whispers to her.
KOKI: I think he's still mad at you, Aviva.
AVIVA: What? What did I do?
KOKI: Well, there was that time you beat him in the cheetah race.
DESCRIPTION: In a flashback, Aviva wears a cheetah power suit. On a robot cheetah, she races against a real cheetah and against Zach flying above. Aviva and the cheetah dodge boulders. Zach swerves.
ZACH: Wah-haaaa!!!
KOKI: And the fencing duel in the swordfish adventure.
DESCRIPTION: On a ship, Zach and Aviva duel on the main deck. Aviva knocks Zach’s sword overboard.
ZACH: Uh...oh! Aoouh!
[Splashing]
DESCRIPTION: In the present, Aviva frowns.
AVIVA: Oh yeah. So, bowling?
ZACH: Yes, bowling!
JIMMY Z: But, there's no bowling alley.
ZACH: Oh yeah? Come see. Now there is.
DESCRIPTION: Elsewhere in the desert, Zach shows off a single 10-pin bowling lane.
ZACH: But, this isn't just regular bowling, it's Genius Inventor Bowling!
DESCRIPTION: Shapes, Mommadillo, Leather Jacket and Tippy Toes wander over to the group. Everyone glances at the armadillos.
ZACH: You bowl with your armadilly-o animal thingies.
CHRIS: No way! We're not going to use innocent creatures that way. That would hurt them!
ZACH: They're balls! What else are they good for?
MARTIN: They are living animals, who roll into balls for protection, but we will activate Armadillo Powers and be the bowling balls!
CHRIS: We will? Uh, crashing into pins? That's gonna hurt.
MARTIN: Chris, c'mon, you've got to believe in armadillo power.
CHRIS: Okay, okay, yes. Trust the armadillo power.
Martin and CHRIS: You're on, Zach!
DESCRIPTION: Shapes walks up to Martin and Chris. Martin picks up Shapes. Martin and Chris both hold Shapes and their Armadillo Power Discs.
MARTIN AND CHRIS: Insert Armadillo Power Discs! Touch armadillo.
CHRIS: And...
MARTIN AND CHRIS: Activate Armadillo Powers!
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris insert the Power Discs into their Creature Power suit vests. They press on the discs, and sparks flicker.
[Intense upbeat music plays]
ZACH: I'm ready.
DESCRIPTION: A blue light spreads down Martin’s arm, and his arm transforms into an armadillo’s arm.
ZACH: Ah, I'm waiting.
DESCRIPTION: The blue light spreads down Martin’s leg, and his leg transforms into an armadillo’s leg.
ZACH: Aghhh, she's a slow inventor!
DESCRIPTION: A green light spreads down Chris, and he starts to transform into an armadillo.
ZACH: How long is this gonna take?
DESCRIPTION: The blue light spreads across the rest of Martin, and his Creature Power suit expands around him, transforming him into an armadillo. The green light transforms Chris into an armadillo.
MARTIN AND CHRIS: Armadillo Powers!
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris tap their long armadillo nails together.
[Martin chuckling]
MARTIN: Armadillo-sized and ready to bowl.
ZACH: Oh, finally!
CHRIS: Look at what the shapes of the armadillo can do.
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris curl up into balls. Zach crosses his arms. Martin and Chris peak out from their sphere shapes and grin.
ZACH: Ok, fine, you're bowling balls, so who's gonna bowl you?
AVIVA: I will! Tri Village bowling champion - three years in a row.
DESCRIPTION: Aviva wears a purple button-down bowling shirt. She walks up to Zach, and they stand face-to-face.

DESCRIPTION: Zach stands at the end of the bowling lane with a 10-pin bowling ball.
ZACH: Oh, Aviva, did you know that in bowling, the pins are arranged in my favourite shape? A triangle!
AVIVA: Not after I knock 'em all down, they won't be.
ZACH: Wha-! Uh... I go first!
DESCRIPTION: Off to the side, Aviva, Koki and Jimmy Z stand with armadillo Martin and Chris at their feet. They all watch Zach bowl. Zach’s ball slowly rolls down the lane. A red light shines around the ball, and it picks up speed.
[Buzzing]
[Aviva, Koki and Jimmy Z gasping]
DESCRIPTION: With his back to the Kratt Brothers team, Zach presses a button on a remote. His bowling ball reaches the end of the lane and knocks down 7 of the 10 pins.
[Beeping]
[Pins crashing]
DESCRIPTION: A red light shines around Zach’s 3 remaining pins. The pins light up and fall over.
KOKI: Wait. What just happened?
ZACH: You think you're the best? I am!
[Martin gasping]
MARTIN: He got a strike?!
CHRIS: That sounds like it would really hurt.
AVIVA: Our turn! Who's first?
MARTIN: Ummm...
CHRIS: Uh... you, you're up, bro.
MARTIN: Oh!
[Martin chuckling nervously]
MARTIN: Okay.
DESCRIPTION: Aviva picks up Martin.
AVIVA: Okay Martin, you just maintain the shape of a ball, and I'll do the rest.
MARTIN: Alright, let's go. Let's knock 'em all down!
DESCRIPTION: Martin curls up into a ball.
AVIVA: Hey! You can't seal the ball up yet. I need some holes for my fingers. When I throw you, then roll tight.
MARTIN: Yeah, yeah, got it. Let's...
DESCRIPTION: Aviva grabs Martin’s armadillo head.
MARTIN: Hey!
[Martin laughing]
DESCRIPTION: Aviva walks up to the bowling lane. She throws Martin down the lane and knocks down all 10 pins. Martin rolls off the lane.
[Pins crashing]
CHRIS, KOKI AND JIMMY Z: Strike!!
DESCRIPTION: Uncurled, Martin smiles and dances on his armadillo toes.
MARTIN: Yeah!
AVIVA: Yes!
[Zach whistling]
DESCRIPTION: Zach presses the button on his remote, and 3 of the fallen pins pop back up.
ZACH: What're you so happy about?
AVIVA: I'm happy because I knocked all the pins down.
ZACH: You missed three!
DESCRIPTION: Aviva frowns. Martin looks at the pins.
MARTIN: Hey... what?
JIMMY Z: I saw that! Three stood up on their own. That's not normal!
KOKI: And I saw this. Zach is controlling the pins!
DESCRIPTION: On her tablet, Koki plays a video of Zach pressing the button on his remote. Aviva picks up Chris.
AVIVA: C'mon, Chris!
CHRIS: Okay, this won't hurt. I've got armadillo powers. Yeah, trust the armour, the bony plates, keratinized scales will protect me.
DESCRIPTION: Aviva rolls Chris, curled up like a ball, down the bowling lane.
CHRIS: Oh no. This is gonna hurt!
DESCRIPTION: As a ball, Chris approaches the 3 upright pins.
[Beeping]
DESCRIPTION: One of the pins lights up red and moves to the left, away from Chris.
[Beeping]
DESCRIPTION: Chris knocks down 2 of the 3 pins and rolls off the lane.
[Pins crashing]
[Zach laughing evilly]
DESCRIPTION: Chris uncurls from his ball shape.
CHRIS: Hey, that didn't hurt! The armour did it!
DESCRIPTION: Chris looks at the remaining pin on the bowling lane.
CHRIS: What? But a pin moved out of the way!
DESCRIPTION: Chris walks onto the bowling lane, and the remaining pin lights up.
CHRIS: Huh?
[Beeping]
DESCRIPTION: The remaining pin moves, and Chris jumps back.
CHRIS: Whoaa!
ZACH: Nice try, Aviva, but I'm winning! My turn!
DESCRIPTION: Aviva glares at Zach and steps away from the lane. Zach pulls out his remote.
ZACH: So I can finish you off, perhaps I need a little more inspiration.
[Funky music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Zach resets the pins with his remote. Holographic images of Martin, Chris, Koki, Aviva and Jimmy Z appear above different pins.
ZACH: Oh yes, this will motivate me!
DESCRIPTION: Aviva walks over to the team.
AVIVA: Ugh! Zach is soooo cheating!!
JIMMY Z: He has remote control of the pins.
KOKI: We've gotta stop him!
JIMMY Z: Let's hack into his controller and disable it.
DESCRIPTION: Jimmy Z taps on Aviva’s tablet. Zach rolls his ball slowly down the lane. It lights up and speeds down the lane toward the pins. Zach knocks down 8 of the 10 pins, leaving the Martin and Chris pins standing.
[Tablet beeping]
[Pins crashing]
MARTIN AND CHRIS PINS: Yeah! Alright! Woohoo!!
ZACH: Ooh, Wild Rats!
MARTIN AND CHRIS PINS: That's Wild Kratts!
ZACH: Oooh, I'm gonna knock you down now!
DESCRIPTION: Zach turns away and presses the button on his remote.
[Zach laughing evilly]
JIMMY Z: Yes, got it! His controller's deactivated! He can't control the pins or balls anymore.
DESCRIPTION: Zach frantically presses the button on his remote. He looks toward the bowling lane and frowns. The Martin and Chris pins flicker.
[Static snapping]
ZACH: Go down, go down!
KOKI: Don't bother, Zach. We know you were controlling the pins and bowling ball.
ZACH: Ah, ah, no I wasn't!
JIMMY Z: We disabled your controller. You have to bowl for real now.
ZACH: Agh! Fine!
DESCRIPTION: Zach throws his bowling ball. It slowly rolls down the lane, into the gutter, and past the Martin and Chris pins.
MARTIN AND CHRIS: Whoo!
CHRIS: Yeah!
ZACH: Ooohh!!
AVIVA: My turn!
MARTIN: Oo-oo, pick me!
CHRIS: I have to do this, bro. I flinched last time. I have to prove, to myself, that I believe in Armadillo Power - completely.
MARTIN: Oh yeah. Go for it, bro!
CHRIS: C'mon, Aviva. A strike wins it!
DESCRIPTION: Chris curls into a ball, and Aviva picks him up.
AVIVA: Gonna... knock 'em... all... down!
DESCRIPTION: On the bowling lane, Aviva rolls Chris and knocks down all 10 pins.
[Pins crashing]
AVIVA: Strike! Take that, Zach!
MARTIN, KOKI AND JIMMY Z: Yeah! Whoo-hoo!
CHRIS: Ha-ha! I have achieved complete trust in armadillo power!
DESCRIPTION: Chris hops onto his armadillo feet.
ZACH: Big deal! You think you won, but I fooled you!
DESCRIPTION: 6 of the fallen pins light up red. They rise and expand into Zachbots.
[Beeping and whirring]
[Koki gasping]
DESCRIPTION: Chris curls up into a ball.
Koko: They were Zachbots the whole time!
DESCRIPTION: The Zachbots float down the bowling lane.
ZACH: I wasn't even trying to win.
AVIVA: Huh! Yeah, right.
ZACH: I was distracting you. While you were trying to beat me...
AVIVA: I did beat you.
ZACH: I took your armadilly-ohs!
AVIVA: What?
[Clanking]
DESCRIPTION: Aviva looks over her shoulder.
AVIVA: Oh no!
DESCRIPTION: By the Tortuga, 2 Zachbots float away with Shapes, Mommadillo, Leather Jacket and Tippy Toes curled up into balls.
KOKI: Tippy Toes!
JIMMY Z: Mommadillo!
MARTIN: Shapes!
CHRIS: Leather Jacket!
KOKI: Bro's, you've got big Zachbots to knock down this time.
JIMMY Z: Big size those armadillo powers!
DESCRIPTION: Aviva throws a disc onto the ground, and it expands onto a Creature Power platform.
AVIVA: Jump on!
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris hop onto the platform. A light shines from the platform, and they turn into human-sized armadillos.
[Martin and Chris grunting]
[Whirring]
MARTIN AND CHRIS: To the Creature Rescue!
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris jump off the platform, and they walk as armadillos after the Zachbots.
MARTIN: You ready, Chris?
CHRIS: Oh yeah, I've got armadillo armour!
MARTIN: Oh, got get 'em!
[Playful music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris curl into balls and roll across the desert toward Zach’s plane. They catch up to the Zachbots, who turn toward them. Martin and Chris knock over the Zachbots.
[Beeping]
[Crashing]
DESCRIPTION: The Zachbots lie in pieces beside Martin and Chris.
CHRIS: I did it!
MARTIN AND CHRIS: Strike!
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris fist-bump.
MARTIN AND CHRIS: Uh-oh!
DESCRIPTION: Shapes, Mommadillo, Leather Jacket and Tippy Toes fall through the air.
CHRIS: Catch ‘em, Martin!
DESCRIPTION: Martin catches two of the armadillos.
MARTIN: Leather Jacket! Shapes!
DESCRIPTION: Chris catches the other armadillos.
CHRIS: Tippy-Toes! Mommadillo!
DESCRIPTION: Zach walks over to his pile of broken Zachbots.
ZACH: This is not a bowling match! You wrecked my Zachbots!
MARTIN: I think it's time to take care of him with another armadillo power. You thinking what I'm thinking, bro?
CHRIS: I think I'm thinking the same thing.
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris smile. They scurry over to Zach and dig holes around him.
ZACH: Ah!
DESCRIPTION: Dust billows around Zach, and he starts to sink into the ground.
[Zach couching]
ZACH: Stop that!...Ugh ooh aah!
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris bury Zach up to his neck.
ZACH: You think you won? But one thing you can never take away from me, my head is a perfect triangle!
DESCRIPTION: Tippy Toes walks over to Zach.
ZACH: Ewww! Oh, it's so cute. But...yee-uck!
CHRIS: C'mon, Tippy Toes. Let's skitter back to your natural habitat.
DESCRIPTION: The other armadillos walk by Zach. Along with Tippy Toes, they walk away with Chris and Martin. Two damaged Zachbots fly over to Zach.
ZACH: Well, don't just stand there, make your hands into the shape of shovels, and dig me out of here!
[Clanking]
DESCRIPTION: A net pops out of one Zachbot in place of its claw hand, and a badminton racket pops out of the other Zachbot.
[Zach wailing]
DESCRIPTION: Outside the Tortuga, Aviva, Koki, and Jimmy Z walk behind Martin, Chris and the armadillos.
AVIVA: We did it!
KOKI: Yes!
JIMMY Z: Wahoo!
[Aviva, Koki and Jimmy Z cheering]
AVIVA, KOKI AND JIMMY Z: Love it!
MARTIN: Woohoo! We love armadillo powers.
CHRIS: Yeah! Living free, and in the wild!
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris scurry around with the armadillos.
[Whooshing]
DESCRIPTION: In live-action, Martin and Chris continue their walk through the lush forest.
MARTIN: Oh yeah, armadillos are such amazing creatures!
CHRIS: They've got a lot of great shapes that make up that defensive armour of theirs. Protecting them from predators in the wild.
MARTIN: And out in the creature world, there are a lot of animals with great shapes and great defences. Like the triangular horn of the rhinoceros.
DESCRIPTION: A light shines around a rhinoceros’ horn, revealing its triangular shape.
CHRIS: Or the star-shaped body of the starfish.
DESCRIPTION: In shallow water, a light shines around a starfish, revealing its star shape. In the woods, Martin holds a small turtle.
MARTIN: Oh yeah, now turtles, they have great shapes and a great defence, and it's all in that shell. See that shell, now this shell shape is an oval.
DESCRIPTION: A light shines around the turtle’s shell, revealing its oval shape.
CHRIS: An oval shell, but this turtle is called a diamondback terrapin. So where are the diamonds?
MARTIN: I mean, each of these plates is a cool shape.
CHRIS: Yeah.
MARTIN: Like five sides, but I don't see any diamonds there.
CHRIS: Oh, look at the spots on the skin. Lots of different shapes in those spots.
MARTIN: Oh yeah. On the cheeks, on the legs. Hey, look at the top of the head! Right there.
DESCRIPTION: A light shines on the head of the turtle, revealing a diamond shape.
MARTIN: Yeah, that dark shape, that's kind of like a diamond shape. Diamond on the back of its head. Diamondback terrapin.
[Martin chuckling]
MARTIN: I don't know.
CHRIS: Well, no doubt about it, diamondback terrapins are cool.
MARTIN: And this family has a lot more great shapes and shells. What about the tortoises?
DESCRIPTION: A small tortoise walks on the forest floor.
MARTIN: Like this young gopher tortoise, whose shapes are still growing.
DESCRIPTION: A turtle with a circular shell walks over dry, fallen leaves.
CHRIS: And check out this little guy.
DESCRIPTION: Chris picks up the turtle.
CHRIS: This kind of turtle is called a box turtle. You can find them all around the world, but it's not shaped like a box.
MARTIN: No, look, that shell is a circle.
CHRIS: So why is it called a box turtle? Well, check it out.
DESCRIPTION: Chris tilts the turtle and points to the shapes on its belly.
CHRIS: You see this hinge on the plastron of the shell? That closes up when the turtle tucks in its head and legs. So it can close up completely, kind of like a box.
DESCRIPTION: A larger box turtle tucks in its head and raises its plastron, its belly, then closes like a box.
MARTIN: Now that's a great defence.
CHRIS: Yeah.
[Chris chuckling]

MARTIN: A giant sphere floating in space, Earth is a planet with so many incredible shapes.
DESCRIPTION: A view from above shows a dense tree canopy. Chris and Martin Kratt step into view through an opening in the trees. Chris wears a green shirt, and Martin wears a blue shirt.
MARTIN: We're here, walking in the woods.
CHRIS: It's us, the Kratt Brothers.
DESCRIPTION: In the woods, the Kratt Brothers, Martin and Chris, walk down a trail.
CHRIS: I'm Chris.
MARTIN: I'm Martin.
CHRIS: When you're out in the woods, you can see so many shapes in nature.
MARTIN: Yeah, look around.
DESCRIPTION: Martin stands between low-hanging branches of a tree with big leaves.
MARTIN: Look at this heart-shaped leaf. The heart-shaped leaf of a basswood tree!
DESCRIPTION: Martin gently pulls down a leaf. A shining light outlines the heart shape of the leaf. Elsewhere in the woods, Chris points to a hole in a tree.
CHRIS: See, the circle? Nest holes for birds and other animals.
DESCRIPTION: A bright light outlines the circular shape in the tree. In a nest, a bird feeds its chicks.

DESCRIPTION: Martin holds an animal curled up into a ball.
MARTIN: And here's a creature with a lot of shapes.
CHRIS: The three-banded armadillo.
MARTIN: Yeah, check it out. There's like, circles here all over, and rectangles in the back.
DESCRIPTION: A bright light outlines circular and rectangular shapes on the armadillo’s hard shell.
CHRIS: And look at this side. The head and tail are triangles.
MARTIN: All of these shapes together give this three-banded armadillo the ability to close up into a complete ball.
CHRIS: And check this out. Let's see if we can get him to put them together. See? They fit together perfectly.
DESCRIPTION: Chris gently taps on the armadillo’s head.
CHRIS: The armadillo tucks in its triangular head and tail,
MARTIN: Make a rectangle.
[Chris chuckling]
MARTIN: What an incredible defence of shapes. Aw, wow. Alright, let's see this armadillo in action.
DESCRIPTION: The armadillo uncurls from its ball shape, and Martin sets it on the ground. Martin lies on the ground and watches the armadillo scurry about.
MARTIN: He's running on the tips of his claws.
CHRIS: The armadillo's claws are so big because they dig for their food. They dig for ants, termites, beetles, and digging is an armadillo's creature power.
MARTIN: Armadillos are such amazing and bizarre creatures.
CHRIS: Imagine if we had armadillo powers.
DESCRIPTION: Back on their feet, Chris and Martin jump forward.
CHRIS AND MARTIN: What if?
[Exciting music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris transform into cartoon versions of themselves. Martin wears a blue zipper jacket, and Chris wears a green zipper jacket. They both wear white T-shirts, beige shorts and dark purple hiking boots. Martin and Chris share a look and start running.
[Energetic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In animation, a paw icon spins and becomes a map of the world.
SINGER: On adventure with the coolest creatures, from the oceans to the trees. The Brothers Kratt are going places you never get to see! Hanging with their creature friends, get ready, it's the hour.
DESCRIPTION: Martin swims with a shark. Chris swings on vines through a jungle. Martin and Chris fly on bees. In the Tortuga, a flying tortoise ship, brown-haired biomechanical engineer Aviva, black-haired mechanical engineer Koki, and red-haired pilot Jimmy Z watch Martin and Chris visit with a young anteater, a baby rhino and a leopard cub.
SINGER: We're gonna save some animals today with: Creature Power!
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris press Power Discs into their Creature Power suit vests and activate different animal powers. Martin uses an eagle disc, and Chris uses a winged lizard disc.
SINGER: Gonna go wild with Wild Kratts, gonna go wild, wild, wild Kratts. Gonna go wild with Wild Kratts, gonna go wild, wild, wild.
DESCRIPTION: Martin’s suit transforms him into an eagle. Chris’s suit transforms him into a winged lizard.
SINGER: Cheetah speed and lizard glide. Falcon flight and lion pride!
DESCRIPTION: Martin runs beside a cheetah in a cheetah suit. Chris flies behind a winged lizard in his lizard suit. Martin follows an eagle through the air in his eagle suit. Chris stands beside a lion in a lion suit.
SINGER: Gonna go wild with wild Kratts, gonna go wild, wild, wild Kratts. Wild Kratts! Gonna go wild with wild Kratts, gonna go wild, wild, wild Kratts.
DESCRIPTION: A crocodile snaps at Martin. A squid wraps itself around a whale. Martin runs into a lion, and Chris flies into a tree. In their Creature Power suits, Martin and Chris jump into a forest clearing.

DESCRIPTION: Martin announces the episode title.
MARTIN: Shapes of the Armadillo.
DESCRIPTION: In a desert, Jimmy Z lounges in a hammock outside the Tortuga and plays a lemur video game. In the game, the lemur jumps across trees collecting balls. Martin sits cross-legged with a notepad. Chris sits on a boulder with a pile of Power Discs on a flat boulder.
[Video game music plays]
[Text reads] Created by Martin Kratt, Chris Kratt. Written by Martin Kratt. Directed by Martin Kratt, Louis Champagne.
MARTIN: I love shapes.
CHRIS: That's cool.
DESCRIPTION: Chris cleans a power disc with a cloth. The disc shines, and he looks at his reflection.
MARTIN: Aren't you gonna ask me why?
CHRIS: Uh, okay. Why? Why do you love shapes?
MARTIN: Because you can use shapes to draw anything. Look, a circle makes the head. I draw two triangles for ears. Two ovals for eyes, two more circles for the muzzle. A rectangle, two short sides and two long sides for the jaw...
DESCRIPTION: Martin draws in his notebook.
CHRIS: ...and how about a square for the nose?
MARTIN: Yes! And a square, where all sides are equal for the nose.
CHRIS: Nice! You've just got to add some circle spots to make it an ocelot. Now, I've gotta get back to my circles.
DESCRIPTION: Chris picks up another animal power disc. Aviva and Koki walk over to Martin.
AVIVA: Hey, whatcha drawing? Ooh, an ocelot! Pretty good, Martin. There are a lot of amazing shapes in nature. I found a rock that's a triangle. Three points and three sides.
KOKI: And I've got a stone that's a square.
DESCRIPTION: Aviva and Koki hold up their rocks. Jimmy Z walks over with his own shape.
JIMMY Z: And my rock is a circle, round.
AVIVA: Yeah, a three-dimensional circle, also known as a sphere.
DESCRIPTION: Jimmy Z frowns at the sphere, which has circles and rectangles on it.
JIMMY Z: A sphere?
CHRIS: Yeah, right, except for one thing. The sphere is not a rock. It's an animal!
JIMMY Z: What?!
DESCRIPTION: The sphere, an animal, uncurls, revealing itself as an armadillo.
JIMMY Z: Aahhh!!!
DESCRIPTION: Jimmy Z throws the armadillo.
CHRIS: Whoa!!
DESCRIPTION: Chris runs. He dives to the ground and catches the armadillo.
CHRIS: Gotcha!
MARTIN: Nice catch, Chris!
DESCRIPTION: Martin joins Chris and waves.
MARTIN: And hello, armadillo.
CHRIS: Oh, the skin feels hard. It must be all these bony plates - all different shapes, rectangles...
MARTIN: ...circles, oval, both curved with no corners.
DESCRIPTION: Martin points to the armadillo, and the armadillo sniffs Martin’s finger.
[Martin chuckling]
CHRIS: And look, on top of his head and his tail are both triangles!
MARTIN: And those two triangles come together to make a rectangle! Which protects the armadillo's soft belly! The armadillo armour is made of so many different shapes, and that's what we'll call you: Shapes. Shapes, the armadillo.
DESCRIPTION: Shapes, the armadillo, walks around.
[Intense music plays]
DESCRIPTION: A Zachbot appears from behind a nearby bush and points a lens toward the Kratt Brothers team. Above, Zach Varmitech’s plane swoops through the sky. At the controls, Zach watches the team.
ZACH: Big deal! My Zachbots have shapes, like circles and triangles.
DESCRIPTION: Zach appears on the Tortuga screen.
ZACH: My shapes are better than their shapes.
DESCRIPTION: Zach leans forward and hits his head.
ZACH: Ow!
[Kratt brothers team laughing]
DESCRIPTION: Zach looks around.
ZACH: Can they hear me?
DESCRIPTION: Two Zackbots share a look and glance back at Zach.
ZACH: My Zachbot shapes are better than their weird creature shapes. And I'll prove it!
[Zach laughing evilly]
ZACH: Their shapes against my shapes, and my shapes will win!
[Throat clearing]
AVIVA: Uh... we can hear you, Zach.
ZACH: Ooooohhhhhh! Well, my shapes are so amazing.
KOKI: We don't even have to listen to that.
ZACH: So precise...
DESCRIPTION: Koki ends Zach’s video call.
AVIVA: Yeah, because nature's shapes are so inspiring!
KOKI: You can study the science of shapes, geometry, just by being in nature.
CHRIS AND MARTIN: Animals can take you anywhere in science!
AVIVA: There's so much we can learn from them.
KOKI: Like, how does rolling into a circle, a ball, help an armadillo?
CHRIS: That's a great question, and here comes the answer.
[Tense, dramatic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: A spotted animal peeks out from between two bushes and watches the armadillo.
CHRIS AND MARTIN: Ocelot!
DESCRIPTION: The ocelot runs toward the armadillo.
AVIVA: No! Stop!
JIMMY Z: Ah! I can't watch!
DESCRIPTION: Jimmy Z covers his eyes with his hands, then uncovers one eye. The armadillo spots the ocelot and curls up into its sphere shape. The ocelot tackles the armadillo and gnaws on its body.
KOKI: Let it go!
CHRIS: He's okay!
DESCRIPTION: Jimmy Z uncovers both his eyes.

DESCRIPTION: Chris holds the armadillo. The armadillo gazes up at Aviva. In his plane, with his arms crossed, Zach taps his foot.
ZACH: “Shapes are amazing, you're so cute.” Blah, blah, blah! I'll show that pretender inventor how my Zachbot shapes are better than her animal shapes!

DESCRIPTION: Shapes walks around the table. Shapes stops and looks up toward Martin and Chris. In Zach’s plane, Zach paces in front of his rows of Zachbots.
ZACH: Zachbots, soon we will go to the Wild Kratts and prove that our shapes are better than nature's shapes. Now, we practice. Present shapes! Triangle!
[Beeping and clanking]
DESCRIPTION: The Zachbots’ heads and arms retract, and they take the shape of a triangle.
ZACH: Square!
[Beeping and clanking]
DESCRIPTION: The Zachbots come together in pairs and take the shape of a square.
ZACH: Circle!
[Beeping and clanking]
DESCRIPTION: The Zachbots separate. They collapse into the shape of a circle.
ZACH: Sphere!

DESCRIPTION: The Zachbots retract and expand their parts and take the shape of a sphere.

DESCRIPTION: Outside the Tortuga, Jimmy Z lies in the hammock. Martin and Chris walk over with Shapes.
MARTIN: All right Shapes, let's see some more of your creature powers.
DESCRIPTION: Martin sets Shapes down on the ground. Shapes walks around.
JIMMY Z: Yeah, what else can an armadillo do?
CHRIS: That! Claws dig for food in the dirt. Armadillos are great diggers.
DESCRIPTION: Shapes digs shallow holes in the dirt.
MARTIN: One of the best diggers in the creature world.
CHRIS: Right up there with aardvarks.
DESCRIPTION: Chris pulls out his tablet and scrolls through pictures of different animals, including an aardvark and a sloth bear. Martin and Jimmy Z look over Chris’s shoulder.
MARTIN: Ooh, and sloth bears.
CHRIS: What do they all have in common?
JIMMY Z: Long curved claws?
CHRIS: Yes!
JIMMY Z: Those claws can really move dirt.
CHRIS: Shapes found some ants!
MARTIN: Oooh, that must be yummy for Shapesy.
DESCRIPTION: Shapes digs a hole, and ants scurry out. Shapes sticks their nose in the hole. Chris and Jimmy Z share a look.
JIMMY Z: Blahhh!
CHRIS: Those very long, curved claws for digging are most important. But they also present a problem. How do you walk with claws like that?
JIMMY Z: How?
MARTIN: The three-banded armadillo has a very unique running style. When a three-banded armadillo runs, it runs on the tips of its claws. Like tippy toes. Literally running on the tips of the toenails.
JIMMY Z: Ohh.
DESCRIPTION: Shapes runs and digs in the dirt.
MARTIN: Look at that, tippy-toeing.
[Martin chuckling]
AVIVA: Oh, that's so funny.
DESCRIPTION: Martin, Chris, and Jimmy Z glance to their left. Aviva walks over with Koki.
AVIVA: I can definitely use that for the running power of the armadillo suit. You are so fun!

CHRIS: Hey... there she goes again! With our armadillo!
MARTIN: Don't sweat it, bro. Aviva is programming Armadillo Power suits. That's what we want, right? So, we can just find another armadillo.
CHRIS: Ah, that's not so easy. Nocturnal, skittish, live in burrows. Armadillos are not easy to find. Especially three-banded armadillos like Shapes. They're endangered. Do you know how lucky we got to find just one three-banded armadillo?!

CHRIS: Yeah.
DESCRIPTION: Martin sits beside the armadillo mother and pups. Chris kneels.

CHRIS: Okay, so their skin is leathery when they're born.
MARTIN: I'll call you... Leather Jacket!
CHRIS: Which has certain protection, but the harder bony shapes quickly develop, like the ones on the armadillo mom.
MARTIN: Yeah, ooh, got one. I'll name you... Mommadillo! An armadillo mom usually has one pup, but our Mommadillo has two pups. Boy, that's rare, so I need a name for the second. Hmm...
DESCRIPTION: Of the two armadillo pups, the pinkish-coloured pup steps out from beside its mother, Mommadillo.
[Martin chuckling]
CHRIS: The pups already have long claws and run along on the tips of their claws. Look at them tippy-toeing along!
DESCRIPTION: The pinkish-coloured pup runs circles around Mommadillo with its sibling, the lighter-coloured armadillo, Leather Jacket.
MARTIN: Tippy-toeing. Oh, that's it! Your name is, Tippy Toes!
[Martin chuckling]
DESCRIPTION: Koki and Aviva walk over to the group.
AVIVA: Hey, guys!
[Aviva slowly gasping]
AVIVA: What?!? Baby armadillos?!
JIMMY Z: Oh, they're called pups.
KOKI: What? You found armadillo pups, and you didn't tell us?!?
DESCRIPTION: The pups walk over to Koki and Aviva, who kneel. Koki pets Tippy Toes, and Aviva pets Leather Jacket. Martin and Chris share a nervous look.
CHRIS: Surprise!
MARTIN: That's Tippy Toes, and that's Leather Jacket. And Mommadillo, of course.
KOKI: Aww, you're so cute!
AVIVA: You're such a sweetie! Oooohhh.
MARTIN: Told ya. They're playing with armadillo puppies now.
CHRIS: Ohhhh, we're never going to get our Armadillo Power Suits. We were so close... yet so far.

DESCRIPTION: The team turns to the screen. On a video call, Zach turns away from his Zachbots to face them.
ZACH: Oh, hello, Wild Rats.
CHRIS: That's Wild Kratts! What do you want, Zach?
DESCRIPTION: Martin walks over to the door and looks outside.
MARTIN: Uh, he's right here.
DESCRIPTION: Zach walks toward the Tortuga with four of his Zachbots.
ZACH: What do I want, you ask? I want to show you that my Zachbot's shapes are better than your animal shapes.
DESCRIPTION: The Kratt Brothers team walk down the Tortuga ramp and frown.
ZACH: We triangle-ate, encircle and are squarely better than you, and I'll prove it!
[Zach laughing evilly]
ZACH: Your shapes against my shapes, and my shapes will win!
AVIVA: Oh, come on, Zach, not right now.
KOKI: We're right in the middle of something.
ZACH: Well, if you're not convinced... behold! My head is the shape of... A perfect triangle!!

JIMMY Z: Three sides.

DESCRIPTION: Behind everyone, Shapes walks down the Tortuga ramp. Koki glances at Aviva and whispers to her.

KOKI: Well, there was that time you beat him in the cheetah race.
DESCRIPTION: In a flashback, Aviva wears a cheetah power suit. On a robot cheetah, she races against a real cheetah and against Zach flying above. Aviva and the cheetah dodge boulders. Zach swerves.
ZACH: Wah-haaaa!!!
KOKI: And the fencing duel in the swordfish adventure.
DESCRIPTION: On a ship, Zach and Aviva duel on the main deck. Aviva knocks Zach’s sword overboard.

MARTIN: They are living animals, who roll into balls for protection, but we will activate Armadillo Powers and be the bowling balls!
CHRIS: We will? Uh, crashing into pins? That's gonna hurt.
MARTIN: Chris, c'mon, you've got to believe in armadillo power.
CHRIS: Okay, okay, yes. Trust the armadillo power.
Martin and CHRIS: You're on, Zach!
DESCRIPTION: Shapes walks up to Martin and Chris. Martin picks up Shapes. Martin and Chris both hold Shapes and their Armadillo Power Discs.
MARTIN AND CHRIS: Insert Armadillo Power Discs! Touch armadillo.
CHRIS: And...
MARTIN AND CHRIS: Activate Armadillo Powers!
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris insert the Power Discs into their Creature Power suit vests. They press on the discs, and sparks flicker.
[Intense upbeat music plays]
ZACH: I'm ready.
DESCRIPTION: A blue light spreads down Martin’s arm, and his arm transforms into an armadillo’s arm.
ZACH: Ah, I'm waiting.
DESCRIPTION: The blue light spreads down Martin’s leg, and his leg transforms into an armadillo’s leg.
ZACH: Aghhh, she's a slow inventor!
DESCRIPTION: A green light spreads down Chris, and he starts to transform into an armadillo.
ZACH: How long is this gonna take?
DESCRIPTION: The blue light spreads across the rest of Martin, and his Creature Power suit expands around him, transforming him into an armadillo. The green light transforms Chris into an armadillo.
MARTIN AND CHRIS: Armadillo Powers!
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris tap their long armadillo nails together.

ZACH: Oh, finally!

DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris curl up into balls. Zach crosses his arms. Martin and Chris peak out from their sphere shapes and grin.
ZACH: Ok, fine, you're bowling balls, so who's gonna bowl you?
AVIVA: I will! Tri Village bowling champion - three years in a row.
DESCRIPTION: Aviva wears a purple button-down bowling shirt. She walks up to Zach, and they stand face-to-face.
ZACH: Oh, good! My arch nemesis and I meet in a contest.
DESCRIPTION: Zach stands at the end of the bowling lane with a 10-pin bowling ball.
ZACH: Oh, Aviva, did you know that in bowling, the pins are arranged in my favourite shape? A triangle!
AVIVA: Not after I knock 'em all down, they won't be.
ZACH: Wha-! Uh... I go first!
DESCRIPTION: Off to the side, Aviva, Koki and Jimmy Z stand with armadillo Martin and Chris at their feet. They all watch Zach bowl. Zach’s ball slowly rolls down the lane. A red light shines around the ball, and it picks up speed.

[Aviva, Koki and Jimmy Z gasping]
DESCRIPTION: With his back to the Kratt Brothers team, Zach presses a button on a remote. His bowling ball reaches the end of the lane and knocks down 7 of the 10 pins.
[Beeping]
[Pins crashing]
DESCRIPTION: A red light shines around Zach’s 3 remaining pins. The pins light up and fall over.
KOKI: Wait. What just happened?
ZACH: You think you're the best? I am!
[Martin gasping]
MARTIN: He got a strike?!
CHRIS: That sounds like it would really hurt.
AVIVA: Our turn! Who's first?
MARTIN: Ummm...
CHRIS: Uh... you, you're up, bro.

MARTIN: Okay.
DESCRIPTION: Aviva picks up Martin.
AVIVA: Okay Martin, you just maintain the shape of a ball, and I'll do the rest.
MARTIN: Alright, let's go. Let's knock 'em all down!
DESCRIPTION: Martin curls up into a ball.
AVIVA: Hey! You can't seal the ball up yet. I need some holes for my fingers. When I throw you, then roll tight.
MARTIN: Yeah, yeah, got it. Let's...
DESCRIPTION: Aviva grabs Martin’s armadillo head.
MARTIN: Hey!
[Martin laughing]
DESCRIPTION: Aviva walks up to the bowling lane. She throws Martin down the lane and knocks down all 10 pins. Martin rolls off the lane.
[Pins crashing]
CHRIS, KOKI AND JIMMY Z: Strike!!
DESCRIPTION: Uncurled, Martin smiles and dances on his armadillo toes.
MARTIN: Yeah!
AVIVA: Yes!
[Zach whistling]
DESCRIPTION: Zach presses the button on his remote, and 3 of the fallen pins pop back up.
ZACH: What're you so happy about?
AVIVA: I'm happy because I knocked all the pins down.
ZACH: You missed three!
DESCRIPTION: Aviva frowns. Martin looks at the pins.
MARTIN: Hey... what?
JIMMY Z: I saw that! Three stood up on their own. That's not normal!
KOKI: And I saw this. Zach is controlling the pins!
DESCRIPTION: On her tablet, Koki plays a video of Zach pressing the button on his remote. Aviva picks up Chris.
AVIVA: C'mon, Chris!
CHRIS: Okay, this won't hurt. I've got armadillo powers. Yeah, trust the armour, the bony plates, keratinized scales will protect me.
DESCRIPTION: Aviva rolls Chris, curled up like a ball, down the bowling lane.
CHRIS: Oh no. This is gonna hurt!
DESCRIPTION: As a ball, Chris approaches the 3 upright pins.
[Beeping]
DESCRIPTION: One of the pins lights up red and moves to the left, away from Chris.

DESCRIPTION: Chris knocks down 2 of the 3 pins and rolls off the lane.

DESCRIPTION: Chris uncurls from his ball shape.
CHRIS: Hey, that didn't hurt! The armour did it!

DESCRIPTION: Aviva glares at Zach and steps away from the lane. Zach pulls out his remote.
ZACH: So I can finish you off, perhaps I need a little more inspiration.
[Funky music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Zach resets the pins with his remote. Holographic images of Martin, Chris, Koki, Aviva and Jimmy Z appear above different pins.
ZACH: Oh yes, this will motivate me!
DESCRIPTION: Aviva walks over to the team.
AVIVA: Ugh! Zach is soooo cheating!!
JIMMY Z: He has remote control of the pins.
KOKI: We've gotta stop him!
JIMMY Z: Let's hack into his controller and disable it.
DESCRIPTION: Jimmy Z taps on Aviva’s tablet. Zach rolls his ball slowly down the lane. It lights up and speeds down the lane toward the pins. Zach knocks down 8 of the 10 pins, leaving the Martin and Chris pins standing.

DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris smile. They scurry over to Zach and dig holes around him.

DESCRIPTION: Dust billows around Zach, and he starts to sink into the ground.

DESCRIPTION: The other armadillos walk by Zach. Along with Tippy Toes, they walk away with Chris and Martin. Two damaged Zachbots fly over to Zach.
ZACH: Well, don't just stand there, make your hands into the shape of shovels, and dig me out of here!
[Clanking]
DESCRIPTION: A net pops out of one Zachbot in place of its claw hand, and a badminton racket pops out of the other Zachbot.
[Zach wailing]
DESCRIPTION: Outside the Tortuga, Aviva, Koki, and Jimmy Z walk behind Martin, Chris and the armadillos.
AVIVA: We did it!
KOKI: Yes!
JIMMY Z: Wahoo!
[Aviva, Koki and Jimmy Z cheering]
AVIVA, KOKI AND JIMMY Z: Love it!
MARTIN: Woohoo! We love armadillo powers.
CHRIS: Yeah! Living free, and in the wild!
DESCRIPTION: Martin and Chris scurry around with the armadillos.
[Whooshing]
DESCRIPTION: In live-action, Martin and Chris continue their walk through the lush forest.
MARTIN: Oh yeah, armadillos are such amazing creatures!
CHRIS: They've got a lot of great shapes that make up that defensive armour of theirs. Protecting them from predators in the wild.
MARTIN: And out in the creature world, there are a lot of animals with great shapes and great defences. Like the triangular horn of the rhinoceros.
DESCRIPTION: A light shines around a rhinoceros’ horn, revealing its triangular shape.
CHRIS: Or the star-shaped body of the starfish.
DESCRIPTION: In shallow water, a light shines around a starfish, revealing its star shape. In the woods, Martin holds a small turtle.
MARTIN: Oh yeah, now turtles, they have great shapes and a great defence, and it's all in that shell. See that shell, now this shell shape is an oval.
DESCRIPTION: A light shines around the turtle’s shell, revealing its oval shape.
CHRIS: An oval shell, but this turtle is called a diamondback terrapin. So where are the diamonds?
MARTIN: I mean, each of these plates is a cool shape.
CHRIS: Yeah.
MARTIN: Like five sides, but I don't see any diamonds there.
CHRIS: Oh, look at the spots on the skin. Lots of different shapes in those spots.
MARTIN: Oh yeah. On the cheeks, on the legs. Hey, look at the top of the head! Right there.
DESCRIPTION: A light shines on the head of the turtle, revealing a diamond shape.
MARTIN: Yeah, that dark shape, that's kind of like a diamond shape. Diamond on the back of its head. Diamondback terrapin.
[Martin chuckling]
MARTIN: I don't know.
CHRIS: Well, no doubt about it, diamondback terrapins are cool.
MARTIN: And this family has a lot more great shapes and shells. What about the tortoises?
DESCRIPTION: A small tortoise walks on the forest floor.
MARTIN: Like this young gopher tortoise, whose shapes are still growing.
DESCRIPTION: A turtle with a circular shell walks over dry, fallen leaves.
CHRIS: And check out this little guy.
DESCRIPTION: Chris picks up the turtle.
CHRIS: This kind of turtle is called a box turtle. You can find them all around the world, but it's not shaped like a box.
MARTIN: No, look, that shell is a circle.
CHRIS: So why is it called a box turtle? Well, check it out.
DESCRIPTION: Chris tilts the turtle and points to the shapes on its belly.
CHRIS: You see this hinge on the plastron of the shell? That closes up when the turtle tucks in its head and legs. So it can close up completely, kind of like a box.
DESCRIPTION: A larger box turtle tucks in its head and raises its plastron, its belly, then closes like a box.
MARTIN: Now that's a great defence.
CHRIS: Yeah.
[Chris chuckling]
[Upbeat music plays]
MARTIN: So, whether you're looking at shapes…
CHRIS: Or checking out animal defences,
MARTIN: There are so many cool things to learn about in nature.
CHRIS: Keep on creature adventuring.
