[Canada geese honking, flapping, whistling, birds chirping, exclamation, laughter]

A flock of Canada geese fly over the Wilde Shelter, a tall greenhouse filled with plants and animals. The geese also fly over a veterinary clinic and a two-storey house. Inside the greenhouse, Audrey, a young girl with red hair in a ponytail, stands on a tree branch. She wears a yellow jacket over an olive green shirt, black pants, and brown boots. Audrey whistles and startles butterflies. Standing on a nearby rock, Tommy watches as Jack, a gorilla, lands on the branch beside Audrey. Tommy wears a pale blue long-sleeve shirt and pale grey pants. His dark brown curly hair is short.

Audrey swings on a vine with a golden lion tamarin clinging to her head. Tommy rides on Jack’s back as Jack swings from a second vine.

A person sings, OH, CAN YOU HEAR THEM, ANIMALS ARE CALLING. THEY ARE IN DANGER.

[Rustling]

Audrey stands as she slides down a rock past Karl and Pat. Karl, a slender young man with black hair and eyeglasses, watches Audrey slide past. Pat bottle-feeds a large grey kitten with black spots. Her black hair is pulled into a ponytail. Tommy rides Jack down the rock.

She wears a pink jacket, a blue shirt, and brown pants. Audrey’s dad, Hector, holds a bamboo shoot. He has short black hair, a dark grey beard, and a stethoscope around his neck.

The singer sings, NATURE'S OUR PASSION, READY FOR ACTION.

Audrey and Jack, still carrying Tommy, run past Jonas, a man with curly red hair. He lifts a rake over his head and spins as they pass.

[Whooshing, upbeat music continues]

Audrey pulls leaves to the side and reveals Tommy in a clearing with Jack, a giraffe, an elephant, and a gazelle.

The tall iron gates in front of the Shelter are open. Tommy rides his bicycle down the path, drops it in front of the greenhouse, and runs inside. Inside, Audrey leans out of a bush and knocks on the top of a turtle’s shell. The turtle looks up at Audrey.

Tommy says, HI, AUDREY.

Audrey says, HMM?

[Whirring, beeping, upbeat music plays]

Tommy holds a controller for a drone. The drone takes off. It has four spinning rotor blades and a red light.

Tommy says, LOOK, I'VE GOT A DRONE. MY PARENTS LET ME BORROW IT FOR THE DAY. I CAN FILM THE ANIMALS UP CLOSE, EVEN THE ONES IN THE TREES.

[Turtle squeaking, drone whirring]

The drone flies towards the turtle, and the turtle hides in its shell.

Audrey says, MM-HMM.

Tommy asks, WANT TO GIVE IT A TRY?

[Thunking]

Audrey puts her hand over the camera on the drone.

Audrey says, NO. UH-UH. I DON'T NEED THAT TO SEE THE ANIMALS UP CLOSE.

[Audrey grunting, rustling]

Audrey climbs a vine and dangles upside down on a tree branch beside Sophie the sloth.

Tommy says, HUH? HUH?

[Sophie grunting]

Audrey says, HEY, YOU!

[Drone whirring]

Tommy says, OKAY, OKAY, THAT WORKS TOO. BUT NOT EVERYBODY CLIMBS TREES AS WELL AS YOU CAN.

Audrey says, HMM... COME TO THINK OF IT, THERE IS AN ANIMAL THAT I'VE NEVER BEEN UP CLOSE WITH.

[Thudding, whooshing, Tommy grunting]

Audrey jumps down to the ground beside Tommy.

Audrey says, COME ON! LET'S GO, TOMMY. I'LL SHOW YOU WHO IT IS.

Tommy says, HEY, WAIT FOR ME, AUDREY!

[Footsteps thumping, drone whirring]

Tommy follows Audrey, and his drone flies behind him. They stand outside a fenced enclosure.

Audrey says, HERE'S OUR NEWEST ADDITION - THE DELICATE, MYSTERIOUS, AND SENSATIONAL PEARL!

[Whooshing, birds chirping]

Tommy says, UH, I DON'T MEAN TO DISAPPOINT YOU, BUT I DON'T SEE ANYTHING.

Audrey points and says, LOOK OVER THERE IN THE CORNER!

Tommy says, HMM?

[Purring, birds chirping]

Pearl, a clouded leopard cub, naps by a bush beside a staircase.

Tommy says, WOW! IT'S A CLOUDED LEOPARD! I'VE NEVER SEEN ONE IN REAL LIFE. SHE'S BEAUTIFUL!

Audrey says, BUT SHE'S STILL REALLY YOUNG. WE'VE GOT TO TAKE CARE OF HER UNTIL MY MOM CAN FIND AN ANIMAL RESERVE IN HER NATIVE COUNTRY, THAILAND.

Tommy asks, BUT WHY HAVE YOU GOT HER FENCED IN? SHE'S STILL A BABY; SHE'S NOT GOING TO BITE US.

[Rustling]

Audrey jumps off the fence and lands beside Tommy.

Audrey replies, YOU'RE RIGHT, BUT SHE CAN STILL SCARE OTHER SMALL ANIMALS. DO YOU WANT TO TRY FILMING HER UP CLOSE WITH YOUR DRONE?

Tommy says, GREAT IDEA!

[Whirring, purring, whirring, mewing, light music plays, Pearl sniffing]

Tommy flies the drone into the enclosure. It swoops closer to Pearl, and she sits up and lifts her paw. Pearl sniffs the camera.

Tommy says, AMAZING! THIS VIDEO'S GOING TO BE CRAZY!

[Purring, growling]

Pearl crouches in front of the drone.

Tommy says, I THINK I'D BETTER BACK OFF A BIT.

[Pearl growling, drone whirring]

The drone flies away from Pearl, and she chases it.

Tommy says, AAH! AAH!

[Yowling, mewing, leaves rustling]

Pearl chases the drone and pounces on it, landing behind the bushes beside the stairs.

Tommy says, EEE! AAH! MY DRONE!

Audrey says, UH-OH!

[Static crackling]

Tommy looks at lines flickering on the screen of the controller.

Tommy says, OH, NO! I LOST THE CONNECTION! MY PARENTS ARE GOING TO BE FURIOUS IF I BREAK THEIR DRONE! I'VE GOT TO GET IT BACK FAST!

[Door clanging]

Tommy pulls on a door in the fence.

Audrey says, WE'RE NOT ALLOWED TO GO IN ON OUR OWN!

[Gasping]

Audrey says, LET'S GO AND ASK KARL!

[Birds chirping, upbeat music plays, Karl humming, door clicking]

In a smaller greenhouse in the larger greenhouse, Karl sketches a butterfly.

Karl and Audrey shout, KARL! KARL!

[The music stops]

Karl says, SHH! YOU'LL SCARE THE BUTTERFLIES!

Tommy says, KARL, PLEASE! PEARL STOLE MY PARENTS' DRONE!

Karl says, OH, NUTS. THAT'S A DRAG.

[Soft music plays, fluttering]

Audrey says, WE REALLY NEED YOU. COME ON, KARL!

Karl says, ALL RIGHT, ALL RIGHT. IF IT MEANS THAT MUCH, I'LL HELP YOU. BUT FIRST, I WANT TO FINISH MY DRAWING. I'LL COME RIGHT AFTER.

[Audrey grumbling, rustling]

Audrey grabs Karl’s shoulders and shakes him. The butterflies flutter away, and Karl puts down his sketchbook.

Audrey says, NO! NOW! IT'S URGENT! WE CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER!

Karl says, OKAY, I GET IT. LET'S GO.

[Door creaking, birds chirping, door clanking]

At the enclosure, Karl opens the door, and everyone steps inside. He closes the door.

Karl says, COME ON IN, GUYS. NOW, WHERE IS THAT LITTLE THIEF HIDING?

[Audrey yowling loudly, leaves rustling, light music plays]

Tommy asks, WHY ARE YOU DOING THAT?

[Audrey yowling loudly, birds chirping]

Audrey says, I'M TRYING TO CALL PEARL.

[Karl chuckling]

Karl asks, DOES SHE SPEAK DUCK?

Audrey says, HA HA HA. THAT'S WHAT A CLOUDED LEOPARD SOUNDS LIKE.

[Pearl yowling]

Audrey says, HEAR THAT?

Tommy says, WOW, THAT'S REALLY COOL.

[Tommy chuckling, leaves rustling, Pearl grunting]

Behind a bush, Tommy, Audrey, and Karl watch Pearl.

Tommy says, OH, LOOK. SHE'S SO ADORABLE!

[Growling, crunching, whooshing]

Pearl pounces on the drone, picks it up in her mouth, and shakes it.

Tommy says, OKAY, THAT'S NOT ADORABLE AT ALL.

[Mewing]

Audrey walks to Pearl.

Audrey says, HELLO, CUTIE! WOULD YOU LIKE TO PLAY WITH ME?

[Pearl purring, dinging, rustling, mewing]

Audrey waves a stick in front of Pearl. Pearl looks from the stick to the drone, slowly walking towards Audrey.

Audrey says, COME GET THE STICK, PEARL.

[Purring, groaning]

Tommy leans over a rock and stretches towards the drone.

Tommy says, I GOT IT-- OH!

[Thumping, growling, dramatic music plays, rustling]

Tommy falls, and Pearl grabs the drone and takes off running.

Tommy says, OH, NO! PEARL, COME BACK HERE!

[Whooshing, rustling, mewing]

Pearl carries the drone up a tree. Tommy dives towards her and misses.

Tommy says, NOT UP THERE!

Karl says, WOW! SHE'S A REAL ACROBAT.

Audrey says, IF THAT'S HOW SHE'S GONNA REACT, WE'D BETTER NOT PUSH HER.

Karl says, YEAH, WE'D BETTER WAIT A BIT. SEE YOU LATER.

[Rustling]

Karl walks away, and Tommy puts his face on the grass.

Tommy says, OH, MY DRONE!

[Tommy sighing, birds chirping, tapping, thudding, groaning, yelping, Marcelo hooting, glass shattering, banging]

Later, Audrey and Tommy lean against the greenhouse doors by the driveway. Audrey taps her shoe. Hector leans out the window of the Veterinary clinic.

Hector shouting, AUDREY! COULD YOU COME AND GIVE ME A HAND IN HERE, PLEASE? I'M HAVING A SLIGHT PROBLEM WITH MARCELO AND I'M HAVING A HARD TIME DEALING WITH IT ON MY OWN!

Audrey says, OH! OH NO! COME ON, TOMMY! LET'S SEE WHAT'S GOING ON!

[Sad music plays]

Tommy says, NO. I THINK I'M GOING TO GO HOME NOW. I BETTER TELL MY PARENTS THAT I LOST THEIR DRONE.

[Hector yelping, banging, hooting]

Hector shouts, AUDREY!

Audrey says, I'M COMING, DAD!

[Footsteps rustling, beeping]

Tommy takes the controller out of his pocket.

Tommy says, HUH? HEY, IT'S WORKING AGAIN!

[Static rustling, clicking, upbeat music plays]

A tree appears on the screen of the controller.

Tommy says, PEARL MUST HAVE PUSHED A BUTTON BY ACCIDENT. COME ON, TAKE OFF!

[Purring, mewing]

Pearl looks into the camera.

Tommy says, OH, NO! DON'T TOUCH! PEARL! GO AWAY!

[Purring]

Pearl walks away from the camera.

Tommy says, THAT'S IT, PERFECT. GO LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR THE DRONE.

[Tommy chuckling]

Tommy says, AUDREY, PEARL LEFT THE DRONE ALONE! WE CAN GO GET IT NOW!

[Smashing, thumping, Marcelo chattering]

Tommy peers through the clinic window and sees Hector chasing Marcelo. Audrey follows him, carrying a net.

Hector shouting, NO, NO, LEAVE THAT ALONE! COME HERE, YOU! I'M GONNA GET YOU!

[Marcelo chattering, banging]

Audrey says, HEY, MARCELO!

Hector shouting, COME HERE! I SAID COME HERE!

Audrey follows Hector, wearing a bucket over her head.

Audrey says, WHO TURNED OFF THE LIGHTS?!

Hector shouting, OH, NO!

[Upbeat music plays, Karl humming, door opening]

In the greenhouse, Karl sits, sketching a butterfly.

Tommy says, KARL! KARL!

[Whooshing, wings flapping]

The butterfly flutters away from a plant.

Karl asks, WHAT IS IT NOW, TOMMY?

Tommy replies, WE HAVE TO GO BACK AND GET THE DRONE!

Karl says, BUT WE ALREADY TRIED THAT BEFORE.

[Clicking]

Tommy shows Karl the controller screen.

Tommy says, YEAH, BUT NOW, PEARL STOPPED PLAYING WITH IT. LOOK! THE IMAGE ISN'T CHANGING AT ALL!

Karl says, LISTEN, TOMMY, I WANT TO FINISH WHAT I'M DOING FIRST. WE'LL GO BACK IN AN HOUR, ALL RIGHT?

[Tommy grumbling, birds chirping, door rattling]

Tommy walks to the enclosure and holds the door in the fence.

Tommy says, HMM?

[Creaking, door clattering, door squeaking]

Tommy enters the enclosure and closes the door behind him. As he walks away, the door opens.

Tommy says, UH, PEARL? IF YOU'RE AROUND, JUST PRETEND THAT I'M NOT HERE, ALL RIGHT? OH! THAT TREE OVER THERE, I'VE SEEN IT BEFORE!

[Beeping]

Tommy looks at the tree on the screen of the controller.

Tommy says, AH!

[Chuckling, static crackling, rustling]

Tommy picks up the drone.

Tommy says, THERE YOU ARE! NOT A SCRATCH!

[Footsteps thumping, skidding]

Tommy runs to the open enclosure door and comes to a stop.

Tommy says, OH, NO!

[Meowing, purring]

Pearl sits in the doorway looking at Tommy. She turns and runs away.

Tommy says, PEARL! NO! NO, NO, NO! WAH!

[Dramatic music plays, Tommy panting, Pearl purring]

Tommy chases Pearl and finds her sitting in a clearing.

Tommy says, HEY... GOOD GIRL. NOW, DON'T RUN AWAY!

[Thumping, whooshing, mewing]

Pearl jumps onto Tommy’s head and then runs away.

Tommy says, OH, NO! PEARL! COME BACK!

[Footsteps rustling, leaves rustling, tense music plays, thumping, bird squawking, skidding]

Tommy chases Pearl, and a large leaf falls on his face. Tommy stops in a clearing, and Paco, the kakapo, looks at him.

Tommy says, PEARL! PEARL! WHAT WAS THAT SOUND AUDREY MADE BEFORE?

Tommy shouts, QUACK! QUACK!

[Birds chirping, insects chittering]

Tommy says, OH, NO! I REALLY MESSED UP.

[Footsteps rustling, Marcelo chittering]

Audrey leaves the Veterinary clinic.

Audrey says, SEE YOU LATER, MARCELO!

Outside of the greenhouse, a rake waves beside a bush.

Tommy says, PSST! PSST! AUDREY!

[Whooshing, leaves rustling]

Audrey says, HMM....HUH?

[Rustling, whooshing, Audrey exclaiming]

Tommy grabs Audrey and pulls her into the bush.

Audrey says, TOMMY? WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE?

Tommy says, IT'S PEARL. I WENT TO GET MY DRONE IN THE ENCLOSURE AND... I DON'T KNOW HOW TO TELL YOU, BUT, UH...

[Cawing, wings flapping]

Audrey shouts, WHAT?! SHE ESCAPED?!

Tommy says, SHH!

Audrey whispers, WHAT? SHE ESCAPED?

Tommy nods and says, MM-HMM.

Audrey says, DON'T WORRY. SHE CAN'T HAVE GONE THAT FAR. I'M SURE WE'LL FIND HER. YOU CAN COUNT ON IT.

Tommy says, THANKS! I CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON YOU. BUT UH... DON'T TELL ANYONE, OKAY? THE ADULTS WILL PANIC IF THEY FIND OUT.

Audrey says, NO PROBLEM, TOMMY. I'M AS QUIET AS A LEOPARD.

[Bucket clattering, Audrey grunting, clanging]

Audrey leaps out of the bush, trips on the rake, and falls. A bucket lands on her head.

Audrey says, STARTING FROM NOW, I MEAN.

[Whooshing, panting]

In the greenhouse, Audrey and Tommy run in the jungle. They stop outside the enclosure.

Karl says, HEY, TOMMY!

[Whooshing, rustling, nervous giggling, footsteps thudding, birds singing]

Tommy hides the drone behind his back.

Karl says, FOUND YOU. I'VE GOT DRAWER'S BLOCK, SO I'M TAKING A BREAK. WANNA GET YOUR DRONE?

Tommy says, UH, ACTUALLY... UH...

Audrey says, SORRY, BUT WE DON'T HAVE TIME. WE'RE GOING TO GO MEET JACK. SEE YOU LATER, KARL!

[Thumping]

Audrey grabs Tommy’s arm and pulls him away from Karl.

Tommy says, OH!

Karl says, HMM?

[Audrey yowling loudly, birds singing, leaves rustling, soft music plays]

Audrey says, SOMETHING MOVED UP THERE. I THINK IT'S HER.

Tommy says, ARE YOU SURE?

Audrey says, YES! UH, WELL... PRETTY SURE. WE'VE GOTTA GET HER TO COME DOWN. HANG ON A SEC. WHAT DO CLOUDED LEOPARDS LIKE MOST OF ALL?

Tommy says, I KNOW!

[Rustling]

Tommy puts the drone on the ground.

Audrey asks, YOU WANT TO LURE HER WITH YOUR DRONE? BUT WHAT IF SHE GETS IT AGAIN AND BREAKS IT?

Tommy says, IT'S MY FAULT THAT PEARL ESCAPED FROM THE ENCLOSURE. IF SHE BREAKS MY PARENTS' DRONE, THEN SO BE IT. I'LL HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT.

[Whooshing, whirring]

The drone flies up to the treetop.

[Pearl mewing]

Tommy looks at the screen on the controller and sees Pearl.

Tommy says, THAT'S IT! THAT'S IT!

[Tense music plays, thumping]

Pearl pounces at the drone.

Tommy says, WHOA!

[Whooshing]

Pearl follows the drone along a tree branch. She jumps from branch to branch, following the drone as it descends towards the ground.

Audrey says, WOW! PEARL TOOK THE BAIT! KEEP GOING, TOMMY.

[Tommy grunting, beeping, whooshing]

Tommy’s tongue sticks out of the corner of his mouth as he pilots the drone. Audrey catches Pearl at the base of the tree.

Audrey says, YEAH!

[Pearl mewing, Audrey laughing, drone whirring, clicking]

Tommy flies the drone to himself and plucks it out of the air.

Audrey says, AWESOME! GOOD WORK, TOMMY! NOW, WE JUST HAVE TO PUT HER BACK IN HER ENCLOSURE.

[Light music plays, rustling, birds chirping]

In the enclosure, Audrey puts Pearl on the ground.

Audrey says, THERE YOU GO, CUTIE.

[Pearl purring]

Tommy says, THANKS, AUDREY. WE DID IT! AND WITHOUT ANYONE'S HELP!

[Karl clearing his throat]

Karl leans against a tree inside the enclosure.

Tommy says, HEY! HI THERE, KARL! GUESS WHAT? WE MANAGED TO FIND MY DRONE! PRETTY LUCKY, HUH?

[Tommy laughing]

Karl says, I SAW YOU SNEAKING PEARL BACK IN. YOU LET HER ESCAPE, DIDN'T YOU?

[Solemn music plays, birds chirping]

Tommy says, I'M REALLY SORRY, KARL. NO ONE WANTED TO HELP ME, SO I... I WENT INTO THE ENCLOSURE TO GET MY DRONE ALONE. I KNOW I SHOULD HAVE WAITED. BUT THANKS TO AUDREY, EVERYTHING IS BACK TO NORMAL!

Audrey says, STOP IT. IT'S MAINLY THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR DRONE FOR DRAWING HER OUT. YOU'RE NOT GOING TO TELL MY PARENTS, ARE YOU, KARL?

Karl says, UH-UH. MY LIPS ARE SEALED. BUT NEXT TIME, LET THE PROFESSIONALS HANDLE IT, ALL RIGHT?

Tommy says, YES! I PROMISE!

[Drone rattling]

Tommy holds up the drone.

Tommy says, ANYWAYS, I HAVE ENOUGH VIDEOS OF PEARL TO LAST FOR A WHILE. YOU WANNA SEE?

Karl says, ANOTHER TIME. I HAVE A DRAWING TO FINISH. EH? WHERE'D MY SKETCHBOOK GO?

[Upbeat music plays, leaves rustling, Pearl growling, mewing]

On a branch, Pearl chews on Karl’s sketchbook.
