Vegesaurs walk in tall green grass. Green vegesaurs with long necks have bodies shaped like heads of broccoli.

White text reads, “Screen Australia and The Australian Broadcasting Corporation Present.” “A Cheeky Little Media Production.”

[Upbeat music plays, dinosaur chirps]

A narrator says, IT'S THE LATE
CRUNCHIEST PERIOD.

WHEN THE WORLD WAS DOMINATED
BY THE JUICIEST AND FRESHEST
CREATURES EVER TO RULE THE
PLANET-- THE MIGHTY VEGESAURS.

Colourful text reads, “Vegesaurs.” White text beneath it reads, “Created by Gary Eck and Nick O’Sullivan.”

Ginger, an orange tricarrotops stands on a cliff top.

[Rustling]

Ginger points her snout in the air as she walks on a small hill. Minty, Split and Wasabi follow her up the hill.

[Sniffs]

Ginger says, NOT FAR NOW.

The pea-rexes say, WHOA.

[Upbeat music plays, pea-rexes sniff]

Split says, MMM.

Wasabi says, HMM.

Minty says, YUMMY.

The pea-rexes run and stand beside Ginger.

[Cooing, rustling]

Ginger says, I'VE GOT A TREAT FOR YOU.
TODAY IS A SPECIAL DAY.

[Gasping, upbeat music plays]

Potatodons lie in green spring water. Each one has a large crinkled potato-chip like fin.

The narrator says, IT'S THE SUNDAY ROAST,
THE DAY POTATODONS BATHE IN
MINERAL-RICH SPRINGS AND
STRETCH OUT TO DRY ON VOLCANIC
ROCKS, LEAVING THEIR FINS HOT,
CRISPY, SALTY AND DELICIOUS.

[Groans, yawns]

Ginger says, YOU HAVEN'T LIVED UNTIL
YOU'VE LICKED A HOT FIN.

Minty and Split lick their lips.

[Slurping]

Wasabi says, AHH.

Ginger warns, BUT IF WE WANT
TO GET CLOSE, WE'LL NEED A... HUH?

The pea-rexes run towards the potatodons.

[Pea-rexes pant, giggles]

Ginger says, ...PLAN.
WAIT FOR ME.

The narrator says, THE SALT COVERING
THEM IS HIGH IN ESSENTIAL MINERALS
AND IRRESISTIBLY DELICIOUS TO A
VARIETY OF VEGESAURS.

BUT POTATODONS ARE LOW IN PATIENCE.

Sleepy and Shorty, two banana raptors, run to a potatodon and lick its fin. It slaps them with its tail and knocks them away.

[Giggling, grumbling]

Sleepy says, OOF.

Shorty grumbles, ARGH.

The banana raptors run away.

[Grumbling, rustling, pea-rexes laugh]

Ginger says, AND THAT'S
WHY WE NEED A PLAN.

Split says, YEAH?

Minty agrees, MM-HMM?

Wasabi says, WHAT?

Ginger says, OKAY. PLAN IS, ACT LIKE
YOU'RE ONE OF THEM.

Split imitates a potatodon lying down.

[Gentle notes play, rustling, grunting, thudding]

[Grunting, chatter, insects chitter]

Ginger says, HMM. YOU'RE RIGHT.
YOU ARE A LITTLE SMALL.

Soon Ginger wears a large fan-like leaf on her back. The pea-rexes hold it in place. Ginger walks to the potatodons.

[Sizzling, yelping, Split giggles]

Minty says, SHH.

The narrator says, AND THIS CLEVER
IMPERSONATION MIGHT JUST GET
PAST THEM.

[Rustling]

Ginger whispers, I THINK IT'S WORKING.

Ginger stops walking and the pea-rexes jump onto a potatodon’s back.

[Rustling, dramatic notes play]

Ginger says, HELLO.

The pea-rexes say, HI.

The pea-rexes shift from foot to foot.

[Chattering]

Ginger whispers, GET DOWN.

[Sizzling, snarling, grunting]

Ginger says, UM, HI.
UH, WE WERE JUST LEAVING.

The three pea-rexes and Ginger fly through the air and land on dirt.

[Slide whistle, screaming, thudding]

Ginger says, WHOA! OW. AW.

[Wasabi giggles]

Wasabi runs back towards the potatodons.

[Frog croaks, gentle music plays]

Ginger says, OKAY. PLAN B.
UM... WHERE'S WASABI?

Wasabi emerges from long grass with his feet wrapped with leaves.

[Rustling, gibberish]

Ginger says, WASABI, WAIT!

[Exciting music plays]

The narrator says, THIS RESOURCEFUL
YOUNG PEA-REX HAS FOUND A WAY TO
PROTECT ITS FEET FROM THE HEAT.

Ginger shakes her head and says, UGH.

Wasabi runs onto the potatodon’s back and licks its fin.

[Panting, slurping]

Split says, OOH.

Minty gasps, AH.

Ginger says, I DON'T BELIEVE IT.

The narrator says, BUT THE SAME
CAN'T BE SAID ABOUT ITS TONGUE,
AS A POTATODON FIN REACHES
BLISTERING TEMPERATURES IN
THE MIDDAY SUN.

[Sizzling, grunting]

The potatodon looks over its shoulder at Wasabi.

[Nervous giggle, sizzling]

Wasabi flies through the air.

[Dramatic music plays, slide whistle, thud]

Wasabi says, UGH.

The potatodons leave the hot springs.

[Snarling, upbeat music plays]

Two potatodons fight. Pieces of their fins break off and fall on the ground.

[Crunch, clatter, frogs croak]

Ginger says, OH.
I THINK I KNOW HOW WE CAN GET
A NICE, SALTY TREAT AFTER ALL.

[Growling, exciting music plays]

The narrator says, POTATODONS ARE
EASILY PROVOKED INTO A CHALLENGE.
THE AIM OF THE CHALLENGE IS SIMPLE:
TO DISLODGE THE OTHER'S FIN.

[Gasp]

Wasabi says, WOW.

[Lips smack, clattering, growling]

Lines of potatodons face each other. They charge and smack together. Pieces of their fins fly up into the air.

[Clattering]

The narrator says, THANKFULLY, THEIR
FINS WILL GROW BACK.

Pieces of the broken fins land by Ginger, Minty, Wasabi and Split.

[Cheering]

The narrator says, BUT IN THE MEANTIME,
IT'S A DELICIOUS TREAT FOR GINGER
AND THE BABY PEA-REXES.

Ginger blows on a piece of a fin.

[Blowing, cracking]

Split breaks a fin into three pieces. Ginger and the pea-rexes lick the fins.

[Slurping]

Ginger says, YUM-YUM.
MMM-MMM!

THAT'S THE GOOD STUFF.

[Slurping, crunching, clattering]

[Upbeat music plays]
