Messy hops into a white and blue convertible, Okidoodle. He presses a green button on the dashboard.
Singers sing, MESSY GOES TO OKIDO.
Messy sings, FIND OUT WHAT YOU WANT
TO KNOW.
The singers sing, LET'S ALL GO TO OKIDO.
Messy drives through the countryside past a pond and down a road with dancing trees.
He sings, OKIDO, OKIDO.
The singers sing, MESSY GOES TO OKIDO.
Messy drives through Okido, a large city with tall, colourful buildings.
He sings, ALL THE THINGS YOU WANT
TO KNOW.
Messy drives onto a loop de loop and underwater.
He sings, COME ALONG AND SAY HELLO.
LET'S GO SEE OUR FRIENDS!
Messy runs into a cloud shaped flying ship, the cloud ship. Inside, he joins a blue haired boy who wears a striped, blue shirt and blue hat.
Messy shouts, FELIX!
The singers sing, IN OKIDO.
A red haired girl wearing red overalls and a red hat waves to Messy.
Messy shouts, ZOE!
Zoe high-fives Messy.
The singers sing, IN OKIDO.
Messy cheers, ZIM, ZAM, ZOOM!
The singers sing, IN OKIDO.
Zim, who has a square shaped body and computer face appears with Zam, a green triangle, and Zoom, a pink creature. Zam’s science experiment explodes, filling the room with smoke.
Messy sings, BA-BA-LA-LA, BOOM-BOOM!
In Okido, Messy dances down a street with his friends.
The singers sing, MESSY GOES TO OKIDO,
LET'S ALL GO TO OKIDO.

Messy looks through a magnifying glass.
He sings with the others, MESSY GOES TO OKIDO!
Zoom transforms into a screen that reveals the title, Messy Goes to Okido. Messy jumps beside the screen and smiles.
In a backyard, clothes hang on a clothesline. Messy kneels on the grass beside a stone path. The episode title reads, Messy Antics. Written by Stuart Beale.
Messy says, OOH.
[Messy giggling]
Messy says, OH, HELLO, BUSY LITTLE ANTS!
He turns around.
He says, OH, HELLO, EVERYONE!
YOU'RE LOOKING AT ME LOOKING AT
ANTS.
THEY'RE DOING LOTS OF
INTERESTING THINGS.
Ants walk in a line.
Messy says, SOME OF THEM ARE WALKING IN
LINES.
SOME OF THEM ARE CARRYING FOOD.
He looks at another swarm of ants.
He says, AND LOTS OF THEM ARE GOING IN
AND OUT OF THAT HOLE IN THE
GROUND.
WOW!
I WONDER WHY THE ANTS ARE DOING
ALL THOSE THINGS?
Messy looks thoughtful.
He says, HMM.
WHEN YOU NEED TO KNOW, GO TO
OKIDO.
[Magical music plays]
A green and white tunnel transports Messy to Okido, where he falls through the sky onto spring platforms and off a trampoline toward Felix and Zoe’s house. Outside the house, Felix holds a cake.
Messy says, CAKE!
[Felix chuckling]
Messy lands in front of Felix and Zoe.
Felix says, YES.
IT'S MAYOR OKI'S BIRTHDAY!
Zoe says, SO, WE'RE HAVING A PICNIC.
Messy cheers, YIPPEE!
WELL, WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?
[Messy whistling]
Okidoodle rolls out of the garage. Felix, Zoe, and Messy run toward the car.
Messy says, LET'S SKI-DOODLE, OKIDOODLE!
In Okidoodle, he zooms down the street with Felix and Zoe. They join Zim, Zam and Zoom in the countryside where they have a picnic with tiny foods.
[Zoom chattering]
Messy says, FOOD, FOOD, YUMMY, YUMMY FOOD!
SOCKS AND CAKE AND SANDWICHES
AND CAKE AND SALAD AND CAKE!
He hops out of Okidoodle with Zoe and Felix.
Messy says, OH, LET'S NOT FORGET THE CAKE.
[Zoe and Felix giggling]
Felix lifts the cake out of Okidoodle.
Zim says, HELLO, EVERYONE.
NOW THAT YOU'RE HERE, WE'RE
JUST WAITING FOR THE MAYOR.
ONCE HE'S ARRIVED, WE CAN
BEGIN THE BIRTHDAY PICNIC.
Messy says, I CAN'T WAIT!
Felix puts down the cake.
He says, HUH?
Zoe says, HUH?
She and Felix look at the tiny food.
Messy says, OH...
ISN'T THE FOOD YOU'VE BOUGHT
A LITTLE, ERM... LITTLE?
Zam says, YES, MESSY.
IT WAS EASIER TO CARRY THIS WAY.
BUT DON'T WORRY, I'VE BROUGHT
MY NEW INVENTION!
She pulls out a remote.
She says, TA-DA!
IT'S MY HAND-HELD
SHRINKER-SIZER.
IT CAN NOW MAKE THINGS SMALLER
OR BIGGER.
WATCH.
Zam aims the Shrinker-Sizer remote at the picnic and presses a button.
[Zapping]
The food grows to normal size.
[Messy gasping]
Messy says, WOW.
Zoe cheers, WOO-HOO.
Felix says, AMAZING!
YOU JUST MADE ALL THIS SMALL
FOOD NORMAL-SIZED!
Zam says, EXACTLY, FELIX.
She puts down the remote.
Messy says, OOH, I WANT TO PLAY WITH THE
SHRINKER-SIZER... 'BUT-TONS'.
He grabs the Shrinker-Sizer remote.
He says, WHAT DOES THIS ONE DO?
AND THIS ONE?
AND THIS ONE?
He presses buttons on the remote.
Zam says, NO, MESSY!
Messy presses a big red button. He fumbles with the remote.
[Messy yelping]
Messy says, OOPS.
UH-OH.
The remote flies above the picnic, shrinking the food and the group of friends.
[Zapping]
Messy says, OH...
THAT BUTTON DOES THAT.
The remote lands on the ground beside the picnic.
Now tiny, Felix asks, WHAT HAPPENED?
Zoe says, EVERYTHING'S GOT REALLY,
REALLY BIG.
Zam says, NO, ZOE.
REMEMBER, THE SHRINKER-SIZER CAN
MAKE THINGS BIGGER AND SMALLER.
THE BUTTON MESSY PRESSED MADE
US ALL REALLY SMALL.
She glances at Messy.
Messy says, WHOOPS.
SORRY, EVERYONE.
Zam says, I'LL RETURN US TO NORMAL
SIZE.
I JUST HAVE TO CLIMB UP.
[Zoom chattering]
Zoom flies up to the remote, then transforms themselves into a ladder.
Zam says, AH, WONDERFUL.
[Zam chuckling]
Zam says, THANK YOU, ZOOM.
She starts to climb up Zoom.
She grunts, OH!
Zim says, CAREFUL, ZAM.
Zam climbs onto the remote.
[Zam chuckling]
Zoom hovers over Zam.
[Zoom chattering]
Zam looks down at the others.
She says, I'M OKAY.
Zoe cheers, WHOO-HOO!
Felix cheers, HOORAY!
Zim says, PHEW!
[Zam chuckling]
[Zam sighing]
Zam hops onto the red button, pressing it.
[Beeping]
A spark flickers from the remote.
Zam says, HMM.
OH, DEAR.
SOMETHING IN THE SHRINKER-SIZER
IS BROKEN.
IT'LL TAKE A LITTLE WHILE TO
FIX.
HOLD ON.
Felix says, WE NEED TO GET THINGS BACK TO
NORMAL BEFORE THE MAYOR GETS
HERE FOR HIS BIRTHDAY PICNIC.’
He puts the cake down on the picnic blanket.
[Drums pounding]
Zoe asks, WHAT'S THAT NOISE?
[Whistle blaring]
[Felix gasping]
Felix says, LOOK!
[Messy gasping]
On the picnic blanket, blue ants march in a line around the food.
Messy says, WOW, ANTS!
AND THEY'RE WALKING IN A LINE,
JUST LIKE SOME OF THE ANTS IN
MY GARDEN.
Zim says, SOMETIMES, ANTS FOLLOW EACH
OTHER TO GET TO FOOD.
A LOT OF ANTS ARE BETTER AT
SMELLING THINGS THAN THEY ARE AT
SEEING THINGS, SO ANTS SPRAY A
TRAIL OF THESE SMELLY
PHEROMONES FROM OUT OF THEIR
BODIES ONTO THE GROUND.
As a screen, Zoom shows animated ants marching in a line, the ant in front leading the others by leaving behind a trail.
Zim explains, THE ANTS WHO ARE BEHIND CAN
FOLLOW THE PHEROMONES BY
SMELLING THEM WITH THOSE LONG
THINGS THEY HAVE ON THEIR HEADS,
WHICH ARE CALLED ANTENNAE.
THIS WAY, THE ANTS WHO ARE
FOLLOWING KNOW WHICH WAY TO GO.
The line of ants follow the leader to Felix’s cake.
Felix says, OH, SO, IT'S ALMOST LIKE ANTS
USE SMELLS TO TALK TO ONE
ANOTHER.
Messy says, IT'S LIKE WHEN A CAKE SMELLS
REALLY GOOD, IT'S TELLING ME,
"EAT ME, MESSY.
EAT ME!"
Zoe says, SPEAKING OF CAKE, WHERE HAS
IT GONE?
Messy looks around the picnic blanket.
He says, HMM.
I DIDN'T KNOW CAKES CAN RUN.
The shrunken cake moves around the picnic blanket.
Zim says, THEY CAN'T.
AN ANT'S GOT IT!
An ant runs away with the cake.
Zam says, THAT'S THE MAYOR'S BIRTHDAY
CAKE.
YOU GO AND GET IT.
I'LL STAY HERE WITH ZOOM AND
FIX THE SHRINKER-SIZER.
Zoe says, COME ON, EVERYONE!
She runs after the cake with the others.
[Breathing heavily]
Felix asks, HOW CAN THAT SMALL ANT MOVE
SUCH A BIG CAKE?
Zim explains, ANTS ARE VERY STRONG, FELIX.
THEY CAN LIFT OVER 50 TIMES
THEIR OWN WEIGHT.
IF YOU WERE THAT STRONG,
YOU'D BE ABLE TO LIFT A CAR ALL
BY YOURSELF!
He trips and falls.
He grunts, OOH!
Messy dives toward the cake.
[Messy grunting]
The ant dodges Messy’s reach and escapes with the cake.
Messy groans, AWW...
Zoe catches up with him.
She says, OH, NO.
WE'VE LOST THE ANT.
Messy sniffs the ground.
He says, HMM, MAYBE WE CAN'T SEE IT,
BUT I CAN SMELL FOOD FROM A LONG
WAY AWAY.
FOLLOW ME!
He follows a sent.
[Sniffing]
Felix, Zoe, and Zim follow Messy to a hole in the ground.
Messy says, HERE!
THE CAKE WENT DOWN THIS HOLE.
Felix says, ER, I THINK BEFORE WE GO DOWN
THAT HOLE, WE SHOULD REALLY
THINK ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT –
Messy jumps down the hole, sliding down a path of leaves.
He squeals, WHEE!
Zoe and Zim follow Messy down the hole.
They squeal, WHEE!
At the entrance to the tunnel, Felix takes a flashlight out of his bag.
He says, ...WE NEED A TORCH.
In the tunnel, Messy and Zoe say, WHEE!
Felix slides down the tunnel behind Zim with his flashlight, also known as a torch.
They say, WHEE!
The group stumbles off the bottom of the tunnel slide.
Messy yelps, AAH!
Zim flips upside down.
He yelps OH!
[Felix grunting]
[Zim beeping]
Zoe giggles, THAT WAS FUN!
Felix says, OOH, WHY DID THE ANT TAKE THE
CAKE DOWN HERE?
Zim flips upright and says, BECAUSE THIS IS AN ANT NEST -
A PLACE WHERE LOTS OF ANTS LIVE
TOGETHER.
ANTS SOMETIMES CARRY FOOD DOWN
HERE, SO OTHER ANTS CAN EAT IT.
The others say, WOW!
Messy sniffs the air.
[Sniffing]
Messy says, HOLD ON.
THE CAKE, I CAN STILL SMELL IT!
IT'S THAT WAY!
He points down another tunnel.
Zoe says, RIGHT, LEAD THE WAY, MESSY!
Felix shines his light down the tunnel, following Messy, who crawls on the ground as he follows a sent.
[Upbeat music plays]
Tunnels connect an underground city of ants with cars and subways.
Felix says, THIS PLACE IS REALLY
BIG.
Zim says, YES, AN ANT NEST CAN BE
A BIT LIKE A CITY FOR ANTS.
IN FACT, ONE ANT NEST CAN BE
HOME TO OVER A MILLION ANTS!
[Sniffing]
Messy says, HMM.
MY NOSE IS TELLING ME THE CAKE
IS IN THIS ROOM.
He leads the others into a room with rows benches holding stacked, glowing balls.
[Ode to Joy tune playing]
Everyone says, WOW!
At the back of the room, an ant wearing a crown sits on a thrown.
Felix quietly asks, WHAT'S GOING ON?
Zim quietly explains, THAT IS A QUEEN ANT.
[Zoe gasping]
Zoe quietly says, SHE'S MUCH BIGGER THAN
ALL THE OTHER ANTS.
Other ants carry different food past the Queen Ant.
Zim explains, THAT'S BECAUSE SHE'S THE MOST
IMPORTANT ANT IN THE NEST.
SHE LAYS ALL THE ANT EGGS.
The Queen takes a slice of cake from one of the smaller ants.
Zoe says, OH.
BUT WHAT ARE THOSE OTHER ANTS
DOING?
Zim says, THEY'RE GIVING HER FOOD.
SHE NEEDS TO EAT A LOT AND
SOME ANTS HAVE THE JOB OF
FEEDING THE QUEEN.
One of the smaller ants carries Mayor Oki’s birthday cake.
[Felix gasping]
Felix says, LOOK!
THE CAKE!
THE ANT WAS GETTING FOOD TO
FEED THE QUEEN.
Messy says, I'M GOING TO ASK FOR IT BACK.
Zoe says, MESSY, BE CAREFUL!
Messy walks between the rows of benches.
He says, CAREFUL?
OF COURSE I'LL BE CAREFUL.
He turns toward Zoe.
He says, SINCE WHEN HAVE YOU KNOWN ME
NOT TO BE CARE –
He hits a stack of glowing balls with his tail.
He says, OOP!
The stack wobbles.
Messy says, OH, DEAR.
Zim shouts, THOSE ARE HER EGGS!
The wobbling. Glowing eggs bump into others.
Zoe shouts, SAVE THEM, MESSY!
Messy says, OKIDOO!
He looks up at the many wobbling stacks. At the throne, the Queen Ant glances toward Messy.
[Queen gasping]
Messy catches an egg as it falls.
[Messy grunting]
Messy catches more falling eggs with his hands and feet.
[Messy giggling]
Messy stacks the eggs as he catches them. He balances on one foot with eggs in both hands, one on his foot, and stacked on his head.
[Messy sighing]
[Ants cheering]
Messy puts down the eggs.
He says, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
YOU'RE TOO KIND.
He bows.
[Zoe laughing]
Zoe says, I THINK THE ANTS LIKE MESSY.
[Felix chuckling]
Felix says, PHEW!
He wipes sweat off his forehead. The Queen Ant steps down from her throne and meets Messy in the aisle between the rows of eggs.
Messy says, WE ARE VERY SORRY FOR COMING
INTO YOUR ROYAL CHAMBER, YOUR
MAJESTY.
BUT COULD WE HAVE OUR CAKE
BACK, PLEASE?
The Queen glances toward Mayor Oki’s birthday cake.
Messy explains, IT'S FOR THE MAYOR'S BIRTHDAY.
The Queen looks thoughtful. She glances at her eggs on the floor and smiles at Messy. The ant carrying the birthday cake returns it to Messy.
Messy says, THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOUR
MAJESTIC HIGHNESS!
He bows his head.
Felix says, THANK YOU, YOUR HIGHNESS.
He bows.
[Ants cheering]
Zim says, WELL, NOW WE'VE GOT THE CAKE
BACK, IT'S TIME WE WENT BACK
TO THE SURFACE!
Back on the surface, Messy struggles out of the entrance to the tunnel with the birthday cake.
[Messy grunting]
Messy passes the cake to Felix and flips out of the hole.
He says, PHEW!
The ants at the entrance wave to the group.
[Ants chittering]
Zoe says, BYE!
Messy says, THANK YOU!
BYE!
Felix says, BYE!
The group walks away. At the picnic blanket, Zam holds a sandwich. Zoom hovers beside her.
Messy shouts, ZAM!
WOO-HOO, ZAM!
Zam starts to take a bite of her sandwich.
[Zoom chattering]
Messy walks over to Zam, who is big again.
Messy shouts, ZAM, ZAM, ZAM!
He jumps and waves his hands toward Zam.
Zam yelps, OH!
She drops her sandwich. Messy jumps away before it hits him.
He says, CAREFUL!
Zam says, HELLO, EVERYONE!
WELCOME BACK.
Zoe says, WOW.
YOU TWO LOOK GIANT!
Zam says, I GOT THE SHRINKER-SIZER
WORKING.
AND I'VE TURNED US BACK TO
NORMAL SIZE.
LET ME TURN YOU BACK BEFORE
MAYOR OKI GETS HERE.
She turns Messy and the others back to their normal size with the Shrinker-Sizer remote.
[Zapping]
[Messy sighing]
Messy says, AH, THANK YOU, ZAM.
He gathers around the picnic blanket with the others as Mayor Oki walks over.
Mayor Oki says, HELLO, HELLO, WHAT DO YOU
KNOW?
I DIDN'T MISS ANYTHING, DID I?
Zoe says, ER, NO, NOT THAT MUCH,
MAYOR OKI.
[Zoe giggling]
Felix says, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MAYOR OKI!
The others all say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY,
MAYOR OKI.
[Zoom chattering]
Mayor Oki says, THANK YOU.
THANK YOU, EVERYONE.
LET'S GET STUCK INTO THE CAKE.
He takes a seat around the picnic blanket.
[Cheering]
Zim says, THAT'S A GREAT IDEA.
Later, everyone looks relaxed.
Messy says, OH, THAT CAKE REALLY WAS THE
YUMMIEST, SCRUMMIEST,
IN-MY-TUMMIEST CAKE EVER!
He holds up a slice of cake.
He says, HMM.
Messy carries the cake over to the ant hole and drops it down.
He says, THIS IS FOR YOU, ANTS.
THANK YOU!
[Ants cheering]
Messy runs back to his friends.
He says, AH, WELL, THANKS FOR THE
PICNIC, EVERYONE.
BUT IT'S TIME I WENT HOME.
BYE, EVERYONE.
He waves.
The others say, GOODBYE, MESSY.
They wave as Messy returns to the back yard.
Messy says, WOW, ANTS ARE AMAZING.
THEY'RE VERY CLEVER AT WORKING
TOGETHER AND FOLLOWING OTHER
ANTS' SMELL TO FIND THEIR WAY
AROUND.
THAT'S WHY THEY WALK IN LINES.
He marches back and forth.
He adds, BUT EVEN MORE AMAZING IS HOW
THEY CAN CARRY LOADS AND LOADS
OF FOOD.
HMM.
BUT I'D RATHER EAT FOOD THAN
CARRY IT.
BYE-BYE!
He waves.

IT WAS EASIER TO CARRY THIS WAY.
BUT DON'T WORRY, I'VE BROUGHT
MY NEW INVENTION!
She pulls out a remote.
She says, TA-DA!
IT'S MY HAND-HELD
SHRINKER-SIZER.
IT CAN NOW MAKE THINGS SMALLER
OR BIGGER.
WATCH.
Zam aims the Shrinker-Sizer remote at the picnic and presses a button.
[Zapping]
The food grows to normal size.
[Messy gasping]
Messy says, WOW.
Zoe cheers, WOO-HOO.
Felix says, AMAZING!
YOU JUST MADE ALL THIS SMALL
FOOD NORMAL-SIZED!
Zam says, EXACTLY, FELIX.
She puts down the remote.
Messy says, OOH, I WANT TO PLAY WITH THE
SHRINKER-SIZER... 'BUT-TONS'.
He grabs the Shrinker-Sizer remote.
He says, WHAT DOES THIS ONE DO?
AND THIS ONE?
AND THIS ONE?
He presses buttons on the remote.
Zam says, NO, MESSY!
Messy presses a big red button. He fumbles with the remote.
[Messy yelping]
Messy says, OOPS.
UH-OH.
The remote flies above the picnic, shrinking the food and the group of friends.
[Zapping]
Messy says, OH...
THAT BUTTON DOES THAT.
The remote lands on the ground beside the picnic.
Now tiny, Felix asks, WHAT HAPPENED?
Zoe says, EVERYTHING'S GOT REALLY,
REALLY BIG.
Zam says, NO, ZOE.
REMEMBER, THE SHRINKER-SIZER CAN
MAKE THINGS BIGGER AND SMALLER.
THE BUTTON MESSY PRESSED MADE
US ALL REALLY SMALL.
She glances at Messy.
Messy says, WHOOPS.
SORRY, EVERYONE.
Zam says, I'LL RETURN US TO NORMAL
SIZE.
I JUST HAVE TO CLIMB UP.
[Zoom chattering]
Zoom flies up to the remote, then transforms themselves into a ladder.
Zam says, AH, WONDERFUL.
[Zam chuckling]
Zam says, THANK YOU, ZOOM.
She starts to climb up Zoom.
She grunts, OH!
Zim says, CAREFUL, ZAM.
Zam climbs onto the remote.
[Zam chuckling]
Zoom hovers over Zam.
[Zoom chattering]
Zam looks down at the others.
She says, I'M OKAY.
Zoe cheers, WHOO-HOO!
Felix cheers, HOORAY!
Zim says, PHEW!
[Zam chuckling]
[Zam sighing]
Zam hops onto the red button, pressing it.
[Beeping]
A spark flickers from the remote.
Zam says, HMM.
OH, DEAR.
SOMETHING IN THE SHRINKER-SIZER
IS BROKEN.
IT'LL TAKE A LITTLE WHILE TO
FIX.
HOLD ON.
Felix says, WE NEED TO GET THINGS BACK TO
NORMAL BEFORE THE MAYOR GETS
HERE FOR HIS BIRTHDAY PICNIC.’
He puts the cake down on the picnic blanket.
[Drums pounding]
Zoe asks, WHAT'S THAT NOISE?
[Whistle blaring]
[Felix gasping]
Felix says, LOOK!
[Messy gasping]
On the picnic blanket, blue ants march in a line around the food.
Messy says, WOW, ANTS!
AND THEY'RE WALKING IN A LINE,
JUST LIKE SOME OF THE ANTS IN
MY GARDEN.
Zim says, SOMETIMES, ANTS FOLLOW EACH
OTHER TO GET TO FOOD.
A LOT OF ANTS ARE BETTER AT
SMELLING THINGS THAN THEY ARE AT
SEEING THINGS, SO ANTS SPRAY A
TRAIL OF THESE SMELLY
PHEROMONES FROM OUT OF THEIR
BODIES ONTO THE GROUND.
As a screen, Zoom shows animated ants marching in a line, the ant in front leading the others by leaving behind a trail.
Zim explains, THE ANTS WHO ARE BEHIND CAN
FOLLOW THE PHEROMONES BY
SMELLING THEM WITH THOSE LONG
THINGS THEY HAVE ON THEIR HEADS,
WHICH ARE CALLED ANTENNAE.
THIS WAY, THE ANTS WHO ARE
FOLLOWING KNOW WHICH WAY TO GO.
The line of ants follow the leader to Felix’s cake.
Felix says, OH, SO, IT'S ALMOST LIKE ANTS
USE SMELLS TO TALK TO ONE
ANOTHER.
Messy says, IT'S LIKE WHEN A CAKE SMELLS
REALLY GOOD, IT'S TELLING ME,
"EAT ME, MESSY.
EAT ME!"
Zoe says, SPEAKING OF CAKE, WHERE HAS
IT GONE?
Messy looks around the picnic blanket.
He says, HMM.
I DIDN'T KNOW CAKES CAN RUN.
The shrunken cake moves around the picnic blanket.
Zim says, THEY CAN'T.
AN ANT'S GOT IT!
An ant runs away with the cake.
Zam says, THAT'S THE MAYOR'S BIRTHDAY
CAKE.
YOU GO AND GET IT.
I'LL STAY HERE WITH ZOOM AND
FIX THE SHRINKER-SIZER.
Zoe says, COME ON, EVERYONE!
She runs after the cake with the others.
[Breathing heavily]
Felix asks, HOW CAN THAT SMALL ANT MOVE
SUCH A BIG CAKE?
Zim explains, ANTS ARE VERY STRONG, FELIX.
THEY CAN LIFT OVER 50 TIMES
THEIR OWN WEIGHT.
IF YOU WERE THAT STRONG,
YOU'D BE ABLE TO LIFT A CAR ALL
BY YOURSELF!
He trips and falls.
He grunts, OOH!
Messy dives toward the cake.
[Messy grunting]
The ant dodges Messy’s reach and escapes with the cake.
Messy groans, AWW...
Zoe catches up with him.
She says, OH, NO.
WE'VE LOST THE ANT.
Messy sniffs the ground.
He says, HMM, MAYBE WE CAN'T SEE IT,
BUT I CAN SMELL FOOD FROM A LONG
WAY AWAY.
FOLLOW ME!
He follows a sent.
[Sniffing]
Felix, Zoe, and Zim follow Messy to a hole in the ground.
Messy says, HERE!
THE CAKE WENT DOWN THIS HOLE.
Felix says, ER, I THINK BEFORE WE GO DOWN
THAT HOLE, WE SHOULD REALLY
THINK ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT –
Messy jumps down the hole, sliding down a path of leaves.
He squeals, WHEE!
Zoe and Zim follow Messy down the hole.
They squeal, WHEE!
At the entrance to the tunnel, Felix takes a flashlight out of his bag.
He says, ...WE NEED A TORCH.
In the tunnel, Messy and Zoe say, WHEE!
Felix slides down the tunnel behind Zim with his flashlight, also known as a torch.
They say, WHEE!
The group stumbles off the bottom of the tunnel slide.
Messy yelps, AAH!
Zim flips upside down.
He yelps OH!
[Felix grunting]
[Zim beeping]
Zoe giggles, THAT WAS FUN!
Felix says, OOH, WHY DID THE ANT TAKE THE
CAKE DOWN HERE?
Zim flips upright and says, BECAUSE THIS IS AN ANT NEST -
A PLACE WHERE LOTS OF ANTS LIVE
TOGETHER.
ANTS SOMETIMES CARRY FOOD DOWN
HERE, SO OTHER ANTS CAN EAT IT.
The others say, WOW!
Messy sniffs the air.
[Sniffing]
Messy says, HOLD ON.
THE CAKE, I CAN STILL SMELL IT!
IT'S THAT WAY!
He points down another tunnel.
Zoe says, RIGHT, LEAD THE WAY, MESSY!
Felix shines his light down the tunnel, following Messy, who crawls on the ground as he follows a sent.
[Upbeat music plays]
Tunnels connect an underground city of ants with cars and subways.
Felix says, THIS PLACE IS REALLY
BIG.
Zim says, YES, AN ANT NEST CAN BE
A BIT LIKE A CITY FOR ANTS.
IN FACT, ONE ANT NEST CAN BE
HOME TO OVER A MILLION ANTS!
[Sniffing]
Messy says, HMM.
MY NOSE IS TELLING ME THE CAKE
IS IN THIS ROOM.
He leads the others into a room with rows benches holding stacked, glowing balls.
[Ode to Joy tune playing]
Everyone says, WOW!
At the back of the room, an ant wearing a crown sits on a thrown.
Felix quietly asks, WHAT'S GOING ON?
Zim quietly explains, THAT IS A QUEEN ANT.
[Zoe gasping]
Zoe quietly says, SHE'S MUCH BIGGER THAN
ALL THE OTHER ANTS.
Other ants carry different food past the Queen Ant.
Zim explains, THAT'S BECAUSE SHE'S THE MOST
IMPORTANT ANT IN THE NEST.
SHE LAYS ALL THE ANT EGGS.
The Queen takes a slice of cake from one of the smaller ants.
Zoe says, OH.
BUT WHAT ARE THOSE OTHER ANTS
DOING?
Zim says, THEY'RE GIVING HER FOOD.
SHE NEEDS TO EAT A LOT AND
SOME ANTS HAVE THE JOB OF
FEEDING THE QUEEN.
One of the smaller ants carries Mayor Oki’s birthday cake.
[Felix gasping]
Felix says, LOOK!
THE CAKE!
THE ANT WAS GETTING FOOD TO
FEED THE QUEEN.
Messy says, I'M GOING TO ASK FOR IT BACK.
Zoe says, MESSY, BE CAREFUL!
Messy walks between the rows of benches.
He says, CAREFUL?
OF COURSE I'LL BE CAREFUL.
He turns toward Zoe.
He says, SINCE WHEN HAVE YOU KNOWN ME
NOT TO BE CARE –
He hits a stack of glowing balls with his tail.
He says, OOP!
The stack wobbles.
Messy says, OH, DEAR.
Zim shouts, THOSE ARE HER EGGS!
The wobbling. Glowing eggs bump into others.
Zoe shouts, SAVE THEM, MESSY!
Messy says, OKIDOO!
He looks up at the many wobbling stacks. At the throne, the Queen Ant glances toward Messy.
[Queen gasping]
Messy catches an egg as it falls.
[Messy grunting]
Messy catches more falling eggs with his hands and feet.
[Messy giggling]
Messy stacks the eggs as he catches them. He balances on one foot with eggs in both hands, one on his foot, and stacked on his head.
[Messy sighing]
[Ants cheering]
Messy puts down the eggs.
He says, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
YOU'RE TOO KIND.
He bows.
[Zoe laughing]
Zoe says, I THINK THE ANTS LIKE MESSY.
[Felix chuckling]
Felix says, PHEW!
He wipes sweat off his forehead. The Queen Ant steps down from her throne and meets Messy in the aisle between the rows of eggs.
Messy says, WE ARE VERY SORRY FOR COMING
INTO YOUR ROYAL CHAMBER, YOUR
MAJESTY.
BUT COULD WE HAVE OUR CAKE
BACK, PLEASE?
The Queen glances toward Mayor Oki’s birthday cake.
Messy explains, IT'S FOR THE MAYOR'S BIRTHDAY.
The Queen looks thoughtful. She glances at her eggs on the floor and smiles at Messy. The ant carrying the birthday cake returns it to Messy.
Messy says, THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOUR
MAJESTIC HIGHNESS!
He bows his head.
Felix says, THANK YOU, YOUR HIGHNESS.
He bows.
[Ants cheering]
Zim says, WELL, NOW WE'VE GOT THE CAKE
BACK, IT'S TIME WE WENT BACK
TO THE SURFACE!
Back on the surface, Messy struggles out of the entrance to the tunnel with the birthday cake.
[Messy grunting]
Messy passes the cake to Felix and flips out of the hole.
He says, PHEW!
The ants at the entrance wave to the group.
[Ants chittering]
Zoe says, BYE!
Messy says, THANK YOU!
BYE!
Felix says, BYE!
The group walks away. At the picnic blanket, Zam holds a sandwich. Zoom hovers beside her.
Messy shouts, ZAM!
WOO-HOO, ZAM!
Zam starts to take a bite of her sandwich.
[Zoom chattering]
Messy walks over to Zam, who is big again.
Messy shouts, ZAM, ZAM, ZAM!
He jumps and waves his hands toward Zam.
Zam yelps, OH!
She drops her sandwich. Messy jumps away before it hits him.
He says, CAREFUL!
Zam says, HELLO, EVERYONE!
WELCOME BACK.
Zoe says, WOW.
YOU TWO LOOK GIANT!
Zam says, I GOT THE SHRINKER-SIZER
WORKING.
AND I'VE TURNED US BACK TO
NORMAL SIZE.
LET ME TURN YOU BACK BEFORE
MAYOR OKI GETS HERE.
She turns Messy and the others back to their normal size with the Shrinker-Sizer remote.
[Zapping]
[Messy sighing]
Messy says, AH, THANK YOU, ZAM.
He gathers around the picnic blanket with the others as Mayor Oki walks over.
Mayor Oki says, HELLO, HELLO, WHAT DO YOU
KNOW?
I DIDN'T MISS ANYTHING, DID I?
Zoe says, ER, NO, NOT THAT MUCH,
MAYOR OKI.
[Zoe giggling]
Felix says, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MAYOR OKI!
The others all say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY,
MAYOR OKI.
[Zoom chattering]
Mayor Oki says, THANK YOU.
THANK YOU, EVERYONE.
LET'S GET STUCK INTO THE CAKE.
He takes a seat around the picnic blanket.
[Cheering]
Zim says, THAT'S A GREAT IDEA.
Later, everyone looks relaxed.
Messy says, OH, THAT CAKE REALLY WAS THE
YUMMIEST, SCRUMMIEST,
IN-MY-TUMMIEST CAKE EVER!
He holds up a slice of cake.
He says, HMM.
Messy carries the cake over to the ant hole and drops it down.
He says, THIS IS FOR YOU, ANTS.
THANK YOU!
[Ants cheering]
Messy runs back to his friends.
He says, AH, WELL, THANKS FOR THE
PICNIC, EVERYONE.
BUT IT'S TIME I WENT HOME.
BYE, EVERYONE.
He waves.
The others say, GOODBYE, MESSY.
They wave as Messy returns to the back yard.
Messy says, WOW, ANTS ARE AMAZING.
THEY'RE VERY CLEVER AT WORKING
TOGETHER AND FOLLOWING OTHER
ANTS' SMELL TO FIND THEIR WAY
AROUND.
THAT'S WHY THEY WALK IN LINES.
He marches back and forth.
He adds, BUT EVEN MORE AMAZING IS HOW
THEY CAN CARRY LOADS AND LOADS
OF FOOD.
HMM.
BUT I'D RATHER EAT FOOD THAN
CARRY IT.
BYE-BYE!
He waves.
[Upbeat music plays]
