Descriptive Transcript

[Rock music plays]

In an animation, in the Lookout, Ryder smiles as he pushes a button.

[Song] Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol, we'll be there on the double. Whenever there's a problem 'round Adventure Bay, Ryder and his team of pups will come and save the day.

DESCRIPTION: The Paw Patrol, Carlos, and Tracker emerge from a cave, and a crack with bubbling lava opens in the ground directly in front of them. They drive their vehicles to the edge of a cliff where three monkeys wait.

[Song] Marshall, Rubble, Chase, Rocky, Zuma, Skye, yeah, they're on the way. Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol, whenever you're in trouble, Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol, we'll be there on the double. No job's too big, no pup's too small, Paw Patrol, we're on a roll. So here we go, Paw Patrol, whoa-oh-oh.

DESCRIPTION: Marshall, Rubble, Chase, Rocky, Zuma, and Skye slide down the Lookout slide to their vehicles. Ryder leads the pups as they drive their vehicles away from the Lookout. On top of a rocky outcropping, Alex dodges a swooping pterodactyl and throws a pale blue egg to Marshall. Marshall catches the egg and bounces down his fire truck ladder. At the bottom, a baby pterodactyl hatches and hugs him. Chase shoots a net beneath Alex and catches him. Ryder gives the Paw Patrol dog treats.

[Song] Paw Patrol, whoa-oh-oh-oh, Paw Patrol.

[Title] Paw Patrol.

[Dog barks]

DESCRIPTION: On the title card, Skye flies with her jetpack while Alex floats on a kite surrounded by fog.

DESCRIPTION: Leaves blow past a kite flying high in the sky. On the beach in Adventure Bay, Chickaletta holds the kite spool, and the wind lifts her off the sand. Alex runs over, grabs her, and takes the spool out of her mouth.

ALEX: Got you! Phew.

[Kite creaks, string rattles, slide whistle, tense music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Alex falls, and the kite drags him across the sand. He holds Chickaletta under his arm.

ALEX: Uh-oh. Hold on, Chickaletta!

[Sand rustles, Chickaletta squawks]

ALEX: Don't worry. I've got this. Whoa!

DESCRIPTION: Alex stands and spins in the air. He lands and runs with the spool in his hand.

ALEX: I think.

[Squeak]

ALEX: Huh?

[Hootie hoots]

DESCRIPTION: The kite pulls Alex towards a lounge chair where a bunny and a mouse look in a food bowl. Hootie perches on the corner of the chair, and a turtle stands beside it.

ALEX: Oh, no! Bye, kite!

[String rattles, whoosh, wind gusts, sand rustles, slide whistle]

DESCRIPTION: Alex lets go of the spool, and it flies away. He stops by the turtle, wobbles, and rights himself. Alex puts Chickaletta on the sand.

ALEX: Whoa! Whoops. Excuse me, but I got a kite to catch.

[Sand rustles, wind whistles, gusts, sand rustles, light music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Alex runs away from the animals to where a group of children and adults fly kites. Marshall and Zuma walk on the beach.

ZUMA: What a great day for a kite festival. The winds are paw-some.

MARSHALL: For kite flying and ear flapping.

[Whoosh, ears slap, both laugh, happy music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Marshall moves his head, and his ears flap. They walk past Ryder, crouching over a blue kite on the sand. Julius watches, holding the kite string spool in his hand.

RYDER: Okay, Julius. This part's called the tail. It'll keep your kite upright in these strong winds.

JULIUS: Cool. Thanks, Ryder.

[Children laugh]

DESCRIPTION: Two children run past with their kites flying just over their heads. Chase and Skye run behind them.

CHASE: Skye, let's give these kites a boost.

[Bonk, slide whistle, string rattles, kite tails flap]

DESCRIPTION: Chase and Skye jump and bump the kites up with their heads.

BOTH CHILDREN: Hooray!

SKYE: Look, Julia! Your kite can go as high as I can in my copter.

[Skye giggles, kite flaps, wind gusts, footsteps rustle]

DESCRIPTION: Alex chases his kite past the two children.

ALEX: Come back, kite! Please!

[Kite rustles, Cali meows, wind blows]

DESCRIPTION: Cali sleeps on a lounge chair, and the kite lands on her.

ALEX: Super catch, Cali. Thanks.

[Cali meows grumpily, whoosh]

DESCRIPTION: Alex picks up his kite.

[Tense music plays]

MAYOR HUMDINGER: Aw.

[Whoosh]

DESCRIPTION: In Foggy Bottom, Mayor Humdinger watches the kites fly through his telescope.

MAYOR HUMDINGER: Another clear, sunny day in Adventure Bay. Huh! It's always too foggy here. I'm sick of this weather.

(Cats meow, footsteps rustle]

DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger paces.

MAYOR HUMDINGER: There must be some way to get our fair share of sunshine. Think.

(Cats meow, Zuma sighs happily, wind gusts, kite tails flap]

DESCRIPTION: On the beach, Zuma looks up at the blue sky.

ZUMA: Look, dudes. No clouds in the sky. That means no fog will roll in to ruin the kite festival.

[People cheer, light music plays]

RUBBLE: Remember last year? There was so much fog I couldn't see the end of my nose.

MARSHALL: We're some pretty foggy doggies.

[Pups laugh, slide whistles, serious music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Nearby, Mayor Humdinger and the Kitten Catastrophe Crew poke their heads up from behind rocks.

MAYOR HUMDINGER: Fog, you say? Maybe that could ruin the kite festival. Hm! That gives me a very good bad idea.

[Laughs, whoosh, toes tap, whoosh, sand rustles, light music plays, easel thuds, marker scratches, ominous music plays, whoosh]

DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger and the Kitten Catastrophe Crew duck behind their rocks, pick them up, and tiptoe away. In front of his cave in Foggy Bottom, Mayor Humdinger puts an easel on the sand and gestures at a drawing of Adventure Bay and Foggy Bottom. Between them, the mayor draws fans blowing dark clouds.

MAYOR HUMDINGER: Now, watch and learn, kitties. First, we'll set up a Hum-blower. No, no, no! Make that a chain of Hum-blowers. Then these Hum-blowers will blow all the fog from Foggy Bottom over to Adventure Bay.

[Laughs]

MAYOR HUMDINGER: That is fog. And this is the smile of a kite festival spoiler.

[Chuckles]

MAYOR HUMDINGER: And, if anyone wants sun, they'll have to come here, to our beautiful town.

[Mayor Humdinger snickers, cats meow, wind blows, kites flap, light music plays]

DESCRIPTION: In Adventure Bay, Julius and Julia fly their kites on the beach.

JULIUS: Ryder helped me put on that tail. It makes my kite fly better.

JULIA: I think my tail needs more tail.

[String rattles, Chickaletta clucks]

DESCRIPTION: Chickaletta sits on Alex’s head as he backs towards the animals with the food bowl.

ALEX: Looks good now, Chickaletta.

[Hootie hoots, mouse chitters]

DESCRIPTION: Hootie picks up a cheese wedge and flies away. The mouse runs behind them on the ground.

[Blowtorch whirrs, sand rustles, upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: In Foggy Bottom, Cat Rocky welds the base of three large fans together. Mayor Humdinger walks to a bicycle with only the back wheel. The wheel is connected to a battery, which in turn is connected to the fans.

MAYOR HUMDINGER: Not bad craftsmanship for kitties. I'd say it's ready for action.

[Bicycle wheel creaks, fans whir loudly]

MAYOR HUMDINGER: Excellent! Now, let's push these clouds into Adventure Bay.

[Laughs, fans whirr loudly, slide whistle]

DESCRIPTION: The Kitten Catastrophe Crew jumps onto platforms on top of the fans, and they roll across a beach using tracks attached to the bottom of the base. Mayor Humdinger stands on the fog-free beach. He sits on his kitty carrier and follows the fans.

MAYOR HUMDINGER: Foolproof fog-tastic fun. Ooh, that's good. I should write that one down.

[Whoosh, wind blows, light music plays]

DESCRIPTION: In Adventure Bay, fog covers the beach

JULIUS: Huh? Julia, are you there?

JULIA: Yes, Julius. I'm right here. Grab my hand.

[Hands smack]

DESCRIPTION: Julius holds Julia’s hand.

JULIUS: Wow! This fog came out of nowhere. It's just like Rubble said. I can't even see my nose.

JULIA: Yeah, I can't see your nose either.

[Gasp]

JULIA: Or mine. This is bad.

[Footsteps rustle]

DESCRIPTION: Elsewhere on the foggy beach, Alex walks with Chickaletta on his head.

ALEX: Hootie! Squeak!

[Chickaletta clucks, Alex sighs]

ALEX: Chickaletta, do you see them?

[Chickaletta clucks]

DESCRIPTION: Alex finds the turtle beside the food bowl.

ALEX: Whoa! Turtle, there you are.

[Meow]

ALEX: And there's Cali. Where's Bunny?

[Chickaletta clucks, carrot crunches, hops boing]

DESCRIPTION: Alex takes a carrot out of his pocket and bites it. Bunny hops to him. Alex puts the carrot down on the sand, and Bunny sits beside it.

ALEX: Okay. Good.

ALEX SHOUTS: Squeak? Hootie? Where'd you go?

[Fans whirr loudly, energetic music plays]

DESCRIPTION: The cats drive the fans down the road, and Mayor Humdinger follows.

MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh, I just love my fabulous fog mover. This might be my best plan ever. Okay, okay, it's at least in my top three.

[Upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Alex wanders in the fog, carrying Turtle and Bunny in his hands. Chickaletta rides on his head.

ALEX SHOUTS: Hootie? Squeak? Can you hear me? Please, answer me!

[Bump]

DESCRIPTION: Alex bumps into Ryder.

RYDER: Whoa. Alex, are you okay?

ALEX: I'm okay, Ryder, but I can't find Hootie or Squeak. Can you help us?

RYDER: We're on it, Alex. No mini patrollers are too missing. No pup is too small.

[Pup-pad whirrs, pup-tags beep, upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Ryder takes out his pup-pad.

RYDER: Paw Patrol to the Paw Patroller.

PUPS: Ryder needs us!

[Slide whistle, whoosh, thumps]

DESCRIPTION: Marshall trips on a kite and bounces, head over heels, towards the Paw Patroller.

MARSHALL: Whoa! No! Uh-oh!

[Pups laugh]

DESCRIPTION: The other pups run up the ramp into the Paw Patroller.

CHASE: Marshall!

RUBBLE: Uh-oh.

[Thumps]

MARSHALL: Whoa!

[Crash, pups grunt, whoosh]

DESCRIPTION: Marshall sits on top of the other pups and shakes his head.

MARSHALL: Sorry, pups, but with this fog, I couldn't "tail" where I was going.

[Everyone laughs, door whirrs, closes, energetic music plays, chime, seats whirr]

DESCRIPTION: The back door closes, and the pups run through the Paw Patroller. They pause behind the badge on the side, change into their Paw Patrol uniforms and then continue to their seats. The swivel seats turn, and the pups face the driver’s seat.

[Pups laugh]

CHASE: Paw Patrol ready for action, Ryder, sir!

RYDER: Thanks for hurrying, pups. It's pretty tough to see out there.

[Pup-pad beeps]

DESCRIPTION: Ryder presses a button on his pup-pad, and a large screen displays Alex walking in the fog with Hootie and the mouse, Squeak, nearby.

RYDER: In fact, Alex lost two of his mini patrol members in all that fog: Squeak and Hootie.

DESCRIPTION: On the screen, Hootie and Squeak disappear.

ALEX: Whoopsie.

ZUMA: Weird. It was totally clear a little while ago. It was supposed to be rad skies all day.

RYDER: It is really strange, Zuma. That's why we have to find out what caused this. So, for this mission, I'll need...

[Beep, whirr]

DESCRIPTION: Ryder swipes on his pup-pad, and Skye’s helicopter appears on the screen.

RYDER: Skye. You'll use your copter to see where the fog's coming from.

SKYE: This puppy's got to fly.

RYDER: And Chase.

[Beep, whirr]

DESCRIPTION: Ryder swipes on his pup-pad, and Chase’s police vehicle and megaphone appear.

RYDER: I need you to use your megaphone to find Hootie and Squeak.

CHASE: Chase is on the case.

RYDER: All right! Paw Patrol is on a roll!

[Energetic music plays]

DESCRIPTION: The large screen retracts, and Skye and Chase run into the vehicle area.

[Song] Paw Patrol. Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go.

DESCRIPTION: Skye’s helicopter lowers from the ceiling, with the rotor lowered and packed inside the body of the vehicle.

[Song] Go, go, go, go. Skye.

[Skye giggles, panel rumbles, whirr]

DESCRIPTION: Chase’s police vehicle lowers from the ceiling.

[Song] Go, go, go, go. Chase. Go, go, go, go.

(Chase barks, ramps whirr, engines rumble, howls, siren wails, A.T.V. thumps]

DESCRIPTION: The side and back of the Paw Patroller open. Chase drives down a ramp, and Skye takes off from a raised platform. The windshield lowers on the Paw Patroller, and Ryder drives his A.T.V. out.

[Upbeat music plays, rotor blades thump]

DESCRIPTION: Skye flies her helicopter out of the fog. Below, the fog covers the beach area but not the rest of the town.

SKYE: Goodbye, fog. Hello, clear skies. The fog is only over Adventure Bay? How'd that happen?

[Siren wails, light music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Chase parks on the beach. Alex arrives riding his bicycle, towing Chickaletta, Cali, Turtle, and Bunny in a wagon behind him.

ALEX: Can I help you, Chase? Please, please, please?

CHASE: Sure.

[Barks]

CHASE: Megaphone!

[Feedback squeals]

THROUGH THE MEGAPHONE, CHASE: This is Chase.

ALEX: And Alex!

THROUGH THE MEGAPHONE, CHASE: Squeak, Hootie, can you hear me?

ALEX: "Hear us!" Can you hear us?

[Squeak, hoot, upbeat music plays]

CHASE: They sound like they're in two different places, but Squeak sounds closer, so we'll get him first.

ALEX: What about Hootie?

CHASE: We'll look for him as soon as we find Squeak.

[Siren wails, bicycle rattles]

THROUGH THE MEGAPHONE, CHASE: Squeak!

[Squeak, gasp]

CHASE: We're getting closer, Alex.

[Wheels squeak]

DESCRIPTION: Chase drives away, and Alex stops his bicycle.

THROUGH THE MEGAPHONE, CHASE: Squeak!

[Boing]

DESCRIPTION: Alex jumps off his bicycle.

ALEX: Hm. I bet Hootie's probably up in the sky somewhere.

[Footsteps rustle]

DESCRIPTION: Alex runs to a kite and holds it behind him as he runs on the sand.

ALEX: Don't worry, Hootie! We're coming for you!

[Siren wails]

THROUGH THE MEGAPHONE, CHASE: Squeak, Squeak!

[Squeak, whirr, whoosh]

DESCRIPTION: Squeak sits on the arm of a lifeguard stand chair. Chase jumps out of the vehicle and walks to the chair.

CHASE: We did it, Alex. Squeak is right over here.

[Squeak, gentle music plays]

CHASE: Hi, Squeak. Jump down on my hat. I'll catch you. Promise.

[Boing, squeak, soft thump, Chase laughs]

DESCRIPTION: Squeak jumps onto Chase’s hat.

CHASE: You're welcome, Squeak. Okay, Alex, let's find Hootie.

DESCRIPTION: Chase turns around and looks beside his vehicle.

CHASE: Oh, boy! I mean, "No boy!"

[Pup-pad beeps]

CHASE: Ryder, I don't see Alex. He was with me, but now, he's gone!

THROUGH THE PUP-TAG, RYDER: He couldn't have gone far. I'll get everyone looking for him.

[Rotor blades thump, binoculars whirr, Skye gasps]

DESCRIPTION: In the sky, Skye watches the Kitten Catastrophe Crew and Mayor Humdinger blow the fog in front of them.

SKYE: So. Mayor Humdinger is behind this foggy mess.

[Mayor Humdinger laughs]

SKYE: Ryder!

[Pup tag beeps]

THROUGH THE PUP-TAG, RYDER: Yes, Skye?

SKYE: I found out where the fog is coming from. Mayor Humdinger is using Hum-blowers to bring it in.

THROUGH THE PUP-TAG, RYDER: From Foggy Bottom. Of course! Thanks, Skye. Since you're up there, can you keep a lookout for—

SKYE: Whoa! Alex?

[Whoosh]

DESCRIPTION: Alex holds onto the kite frame and flies beside Skye.

ALEX: Hi, Skye. I'm looking for Hootie.

THROUGH THE PUP-TAG, RYDER: Wait. How'd you know about Alex?

SKYE: I'm talking to him right here. He's up in the sky with me.

[Wind blows]

DESCRIPTION: The wind blows Alex away from the helicopter.

ALEX: Wah!

[Exciting music plays]

SKYE: And now, he's gone! Sorry.

[Siren wails]

DESCRIPTION: On the foggy beach, Ryder sits on his A.T.V. as Chase arrives.

RYDER: That's okay, Skye. At least we know about where he is. Thanks. Chase, Skye just saw Alex above the clouds on a kite.

CHASE: Way up there?

[The music stops]

CHASE: It sure would be easier to bring him down without all this fog.

RYDER: Definitely. I'll ask Rocky to help.

[Pup-pad beeps]

DESCRIPTION: Ryder touches the screen on his pup-pad, and Rocky appears.

RYDER: Rocky, I need you to help turn off the fog-blowing machines.

ROCKY: Green means go!

[Engines rumble, fans whirr loudly, light music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Rocky and Ryder drive to the three fans.

RYDER: Kitties, stop!

[Cats meow]

DESCRIPTION: The Kitten Catastrophe Crew jumps off the fans and runs away.

ROCKY: Or go. That works too.

MAYOR HUMDINGER: No! My kitties. Oh, wait!

[Cats meow]

MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh, fine. I'll do it myself.

[Thump, bark]

DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger walks towards the fans, and Rocky jumps to the street.

ROCKY: Extender!

[Whirr, beep, whirr slows and stops]

DESCRIPTION: Rocky runs beside the fans and flips the switches off.

MAYOR HUMDINGER: No! My wind! No fair!

[Wind blows]

DESCRIPTION: The fog around Ryder dissipates, and he smiles.

[Siren wails]

CHASE: Alex?

ALEX: I'm over here!

CHASE: Ryder, I found Alex.

[Siren wails, engine rumbles]

DESCRIPTION: Chase and Ryder drive to a tree and look up at Alex, who sits on a branch. His kite pokes out of the leaves at the end of the branch.

CHASE: Alex, are you okay?

ALEX: Kind of stuck, but yeah.

[Pup-pad beeps, energetic music plays]

RYDER: Skye, I need you to airlift Alex.

THROUGH THE PUP-PAD, SKYE: I'm coming in right now.

[Rotor blades thump, Skye barks]

DESCRIPTION: Skye flies her helicopter close to the tree.

SKYE: Harness.

[Click, whirr, click, helicopter whirrs]

DESCRIPTION: Skye lowers the harness, and it fastens around Alex. Skye lowers him to the sidewalk in front of Ryder and Chase, and Hootie flies to him and lands on his hand.

ALEX: Hootie!

[Hootie hoots, Squeak squeaks, upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Squeak sits on Chase’s hat.

ALEX: Squeak, I'm so glad you're okay. Thanks, Paw Patrol.

RYDER: You're welcome. Whenever your little friends get blown away, just yelp for help.

ALEX: Want to fly some kites now?

CHASE: Well, we still kind of have one teeny, tiny problem. No wind.

RYDER: I may have an idea for that.

[Wind blows, pups cheer, laugh, fans whirr loudly, Mayor Humdinger grunts, bicycle wheel rattles, Mayor sobs]

DESCRIPTION: Later, kites fly in the sky above Adventure Bay. On the beach, Ryder stands beside the three fans. Behind the fans, Mayor Humdinger pedals the bicycle connected to the battery.

MAYOR HUMDINGER: Even my top hat is sweating.

[The mayor groans]

[Song] P-P-P-P-Paw-Paw-Paw Patrol.

[Energetic music plays]
