Crystals reflect dinosaurs and children. In the reflections, children run across a field, and a Tyrannosaurus Rex jumps into a swimming pool.

At a dig site, the bones of three small dinosaurs lie close together. Dana kneels nearby, wearing brown pants, a blue jacket, a yellow shirt, and gloves. Her long, dark hair is pulled into a braid. She puts a cloth in a bucket and covers the bottom of a hole.
Dana asks, SIBLINGOSAURUS? GOOD NAME PITCH. ESPECIALLY SINCE IT LOOKS LIKE THESE THREE WERE DEFENDING EACH OTHER.
In a house, Saara says, UH, WHAT?
Saara wears her dark brown hair in a ponytail, with tendrils framing her face. She wears a pink shirt and a dark grey denim vest.
On the smartphone display, Dana says, NO, THAT WASN'T TO YOU, SAARA. BUT WHAT OF MINE DID YOU BREAK?
In a house, Saara says, RELAX. YOUR AWARD IS FINE. BUT DEX IS NOT.
[Water splashing]
At the dig site, Dana asks, WHAT'S WRONG WITH DEX?
In a house, Saara says, I THINK HE MISSES YOU.
At the dig site, Dana says, I TOLD HIM THESE NEXT FEW MONTHS WERE SUPER BUSY FOR ME.
In a house, Saara says, REMEMBER WHEN WE WERE KIDS AND I TOLD YOU I WAS TOO BUSY TO PLAY?
[Dana sighing]
At the dig site, Dana says, YES.
[Saara sighing]
On the smartphone screen, Dana says, WELL, TELL HIM I'LL CALL HIM LATER, I PROMISE.
In a house, Saara says, OKAY. I WILL, BUT, UH, RIGHT NOW, THEY'RE ROLLING AROUND ON THE FLOOR BECAUSE THEIR SUB WAS BITTEN BY SOME SORT OF PREHISTORIC SHARK.
[Beeping, Dex and Kayla shouting]
Saara turns her smartphone towards Dex’s bedroom, and Dana watches through the open doorway as Dex and Kayla kick their feet.
[Adventurous music plays, steam hissing, grunting]
In Dex and Kayla’s game, red light and smoke fill the air in the control room of the submarine. Dex and Kayla lie on the floor.
Kayla shouts, WE HAVE TO ABANDON SHIP! I MEAN, SUB!
Dex says, NOT WITHOUT THAT TOOTH!
[Clicking, grunting, intense music plays, whirring, crashing, shouting]
Dex staggers to the periscope. The robot arms on the front of the submarine pick up a large tooth from the ocean floor. A megalodon bites the submarine and pushes it to the side.
Dex says, GOT IT!
[Banging, hissing]
Dex folds up the periscope's handles and runs across the control room.
Kayla asks, WHERE ARE YOU GOING?
Dex replies, TO THE SPECIMEN LAB TO GET OUR TOOTH.
[Steam hissing]
Kayla asks, BUT DEX, WHAT ABOUT THE…
In reality, Saara holds her smartphone.
On the screen, Dana asks, MEGALODON?
Saara says, THAT'S THE ONE.
At the dig site, Dana says, TELL THEM TO SHUT OFF ALL THE POWER.
In the house, Saara asks, HOW WILL THAT HELP?
At the dig site, Dana says, WELL, YOU KNOW HOW PEOPLE CAN SEE, HEAR, SMELL, TASTE, AND TOUCH?
In the house, Saara asks, THE FIVE SENSES? YEAH, I'VE USED ALL OF THOSE.
At the dig site, Dana says, WELL, SHARKS HAVE A SIXTH SENSE. THEY USE THEIR ELECTRORECEPTORS TO HELP THEM FEEL ELECTRICAL FIELDS.
In the house, Saara asks, SO SHUTTING OFF ALL THE POWER WILL MEAN THAT IT CAN'T SEE THEM?
At the dig site, Dana says, MORE LIKE SENSE THEM.
In the house, Saara says, RIGHT. OKAY. WHATEVER. JUST REMEMBER TO CALL HIM.
At the dig site, Dana says, I WILL.
In the house, Saara says, SEESTER PROMISE?
At the dig site, Dana says, SEESTER PROMISE.
[Beeping, upbeat music plays]
Saara ends the call.
At the dig site, Dana leans over the hole.
A brown-haired man asks, DINO EXPERIMENT?
Dana replies, OF COURSE.
The brown-haired man asks, OKAY, READY TO GET BACK TO OURS?
Dana replies, YEP.
The brown-haired man asks, HOW ABOUT THE TYRRELLOSAURUS? BECAUSE WE FOUND IT NEAR THE MUSEUM.
Dana replies, NOT BAD. PEOPLE USUALLY NAME DINOSAURS AFTER WHERE THEY WERE DISCOVERED, AFTER SOMEONE, OR…
The brown-haired man says, DANA-TOPS.
Dana says, OR AFTER ONE OF THEIR CHARACTERISTICS.
The brown-haired man says, ALL RIGHT. DINO NAMING EXPERIMENT CONTINUED.
[Clicking, melancholy music plays]
The brown-haired man puts Dana’s smartphone on the ground. Her screensaver is a photograph of her and Dex dressed in dinosaur costumes.
[Whooshing, clanking, intense music plays]
In Dex and Kayla’s game, Dex opens a hatch and finds the large tooth.
Dex says, GOT IT!
[Crashing, megalodon growling, clicking]
Speaking into a microphone, Kayla says, DEX, SHE'S GOING TO BITE RIGHT THROUGH THE SUB. WHAT DO WE DO?
Over an intercom, Saara says, YOU NEED TO SHUT OFF ALL YOUR POWER SO THE SHARK CAN'T DETECT YOUR ELECTRICITY OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
Dex says, BECAUSE OF THEIR ELECTRORECEPTORS! GREAT IDEA, SAARA. KAYLA, HEAD TO THE ENGINE ROOM AND SHUT DOWN ALL THE POWER.
Kayla says, ALREADY ON IT!
[Steam hissing, squeaking, intense music plays, whirring, rumbling, whooshing]
Kayla runs to the engine room, turns two wheels, and the lights go out. The megalodon releases the submarine and swims away.
Speaking into the intercom, Dex says, IT WORKED!
[Triumphant music plays]
In the engine room, Kayla reaches up and turns two wheels, shutting down the power.
Kayla shouts, I SAVED EVERYONE!
The game ends, and Dex walks to his bedroom door.
Dex says, THANKS AGAIN, SAARA.
Saara says, HEY, DON'T THANK ME. THANK DANA. IT WAS HER IDEA.
Dex shifts and looks down.
Saara says, SHE SAID SHE WOULD CALL YOU LATER.
Dex says, HOPEFULLY, I WON'T BE BUSY WITH MY OWN DINO DISCOVERY.
[Melancholy music plays, door creaking, clicking]
Dex shuts his bedroom door.
Kayla asks, WHY ARE YOU SO MAD AT DANA?
[Adventurous music plays]
Dex pulls down a toy periscope, and he and Kayla appear in their submarine.
Dex says, I'M NOT. PERISCOPE DOWN.
Kayla says, PERISCOPE UP.
[Melancholy music plays]
Kayla pushes the periscope up, and she and Dex appear in the bedroom.
Kayla says, YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY FOR HER. SHE'S ABOUT TO DISCOVER AND NAME A NEW DINOSAUR.
[Dex sighing]
Dex mumbles, I JUST WISH I WAS THERE WITH HER.
Kayla says, WHAT'S THAT? YOU MUMBLED.
Dex says, I JUST WISH I WAS THERE WITH HER. I MISS DOING DINO EXPERIMENTS TOGETHER.
Kayla says, YOU SHOULD TELL HER THAT.
Dex says, I DON'T WANNA BOTHER HER.
Kayla says, WELL, WHILE YOU SULK, DO YOU WANNA HELP FIX OUR SUB?
Dex says, SURE.
Kayla walks to a cardboard control panel. She lifts the side, and she and Dex look beneath it.
Kayla says, LET'S SEE HERE.
[Typing, phone ringing]
Saara stands on the other side of the bedroom door, her ear pressed against it. She takes out her smartphone and types.
[Adventurous music plays, clicking, beeping]
In the game, the submarine wobbles in the ocean. In the control room, Kayla turns a dial.
Kayla says, REPAIRS ARE DONE.
Dex says, BUT HOW DO WE TEST TO SEE IF THE TOOTH WE DISCOVERED IS BIGGER THAN A MEGALODON TOOTH?
Kayla asks, CAN'T WE JUST GO TO THE SURFACE AND COMPARE IT TO A TOOTH FOSSIL?
Dex says, THAT'S DEFINITELY HOW PALEONTOLOGISTS DO IT, BUT IF WE TURN OUR POWER BACK ON...
Kayla says, THE MEGALODON WILL SENSE US AND CHEW THROUGH OUR SUB.
Over the intercom, Saara says, INCOMING TRANSMISSION FROM ADMIRAL DANA.
In reality, Saara looks at her smartphone.
Saara says, OVER TO YOU, DANA.
[Saara giggling]
Saara slides her smartphone under Dex’s door.
[Adventurous music plays]
In the submarine, Dana appears on a screen.
Dana says, CAPTAIN, REPORT.
[Kayla clearing her throat]
Dex says, YOU TELL HER, COMMANDER.
Kayla says, WE DISCOVERED A TOOTH ON THE OCEAN FLOOR THAT WE THINK MIGHT BELONG TO A NEW DINOSAUR.
At the dig site, Dana looks at her smartphone and says, FASCINATING. CAN YOU TELL ME MORE, DEX?
On the submarine, Dex glances at Kayla, and she nods.
Dex says, BUT WE DON'T KNOW IF IT'S THE BIGGEST TOOTH.
Kayla says, DEX SAYS THERE COULD BE SOMETHING BIGGER.
At the dig site, Dana looks at her smartphone and says, WELL, YOU'RE RIGHT THAT ALL DISCOVERIES NEED TO BE VERIFIED, SO HOW ARE YOU GONNA CONFIRM IT?
On the submarine, Dex says, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE SURE IT'S BIGGER THAN THE PREHISTORIC SHARK WITH THE BIGGEST TEETH IN HISTORY.
At the dig site, Dana looks at her smartphone and says, THE MEGALODON?
On the submarine, Dex says, RIGHT.
Kayla says, BUT WE NEED TO TEST IT WITHOUT THE MEGALODON BITING THROUGH OUR SUB.
Dex says, WE WOULDN'T HAVE SURVIVED OUR LAST ENCOUNTER WITHOUT YOUR POWERING DOWN IDEA.
On the screen, Dana says, HAPPY TO HAVE HELPED.
Kayla says, THE CAPTAIN ALSO HAS SOMETHING ELSE HE WANTS TO TELL YOU. TELL HER.
On the screen, Dana says, GO ON, CAPTAIN.
Dex says, JUST THAT...
[Dex clearing his throat, adventurous music continues]
Dex says, I MISS YOU. SIR.
At the dig site, Dana looks at her smartphone and says, I MISS YOU TOO. CAPTAIN.
On the submarine, Dex smiles at the screen.
Kayla says, I WISH I KNEW WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO MISS MY SISTER.
[Dana laughing on the screen]
Kayla continues, SHE'S SO ANNOYING. SHE ALWAYS DOES THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT I ASK HER TO DO.
At the dig site, Dana looks at her smartphone and says, THAT'S IT.
On the submarine, Kayla and Dex ask, WHAT'S IT?
At the dig site, Dana looks at her smartphone and says, THE OPPOSITE. RIGHT NOW, YOU'RE TRYING TO NOT LET THE MEGALODON BITE THROUGH YOUR SUB.
On the submarine, Kayla says, YEAH, OBVIOUSLY.
At the dig site, Dana looks at her smartphone and asks, BUT WHAT IF YOU LET HER?
On the submarine, Dex says, THEN WE COULD COMPARE THE TEETH AND SEE IF WE'VE MADE A NEW DISCOVERY!
Kayla asks, BUT THEN HOW DO WE GET AWAY?
Dex says, THAT'S A PROBLEM FOR LATER, COMMANDER. FULLY POWER UP THE SUB.
[Kayla grunting]
Kayla leaves.
Dex says, THANKS, ADMIRAL.
On the screen, Dana says, LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES.
Dex says, I WILL.
[Tender music plays, static hissing]
Dana smiles and ends the call. On the dig site, a brown-haired man walks to Dana.
A man wearing a yellow vest says, I HAVE A NAME PITCH.
Dana says, DAN!
The vest-wearing man, Dan, says, WHAT IF YOU NAME YOUR NEW DINO AFTER YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE? LIKE THEY DID WITH THE DRACOREX HOGWARTSIA OR ZUUL.
Dana says, OOH, GOOD IDEA. BUT I HAVE SO MANY FAVOURITE MOVIES. MAYBE I COULD NAME IT ORCHID RAPTOR.
[Squeaking, whirring]
In the engine room, Kayla turns the wheels, and the submarine powers up.
Kayla says, HERE, SHARKY, SHARKY, SHARKY.
[Radar beeping]
In the water, the megalodon turns and swims towards the submarine. In the control room, Dex watches the shark approach on the radar.
Dex says, KAYLA, BRACE FOR IMPACT.
[Growling, thudding, steam hissing, shouting, metal creaking, crashing]
A megalodon tooth punctures the control room.
Dex says, KAYLA, IT WORKED!
In the engine room, Kayla says, GREAT!
[Clunking, intense music continues, alarms blaring]
Kayla leaves the engine room. In the control room, Dex holds the tooth from the ocean floor beside the megalodon’s tooth.
Dex says, IT'S BIGGER!
Kayla arrives in the control room.
Dex says, KAYLA, WE MAY HAVE JUST DISCOVERED A NEW DINOSAUR.
[Thudding, steam hissing]
In the engine room, Kayla says, LET'S GET OUT OF HERE BEFORE SHE COMES AROUND TO GET MORE OF OUR TASTY SUB.
In the control room, Dex says, AYE, AYE, COMMANDER. RISE, RISE, RISE!
Kayla sits at the helm.
[Megalodon growling, intense music continues, grunting]
The megalodon swims away from the submarine, and a squid’s arms reach for the submarine.
Kayla says, I CAN'T GET THIS TO...RISE!
[Kayla panting, beeping]
Dex pushes a button, and a screen shows the hatch of a specimen tube open.
Dex says, I LEFT THE SPECIMEN TUBE OPEN! WE CAN'T RISE UNTIL IT'S CLOSED!
Kayla says, THEN CLOSE IT.
[Steam hissing, Kayla exclaiming, rhythmic beeping]
Steam vents into the control room. On the radar, a dot moves closer to the submarine.
Kayla asks, WHAT IS THAT?
[Steam hissing, grunting, intense music continues, squeaking, clanking, water dripping, Dex screaming]
Dex closes the hatch and walks away. The hatch slowly swings open behind him, and Dex stops walking. The squid’s arm shoots out of the tube and grabs Dex. The colossal squid holds onto the front of the submarine.
Dex says, KAYLA, HELP ME!
[Shouting]
In the control room, the screen shows Dex holding onto a pipe as the squid pulls his arm.
Kayla says, THE SQUID HAS DEX. I HAVE TO GO HELP.
[Banging, steam hissing]
Kayla lets go of the helm and starts to get up. The ship shakes, and she grabs the helm.
Kayla says, BUT I CAN'T LET GO OF THE CONTROLS!
Dex says, KAYLA?
[Gentle music plays]
At the dig site, Dan and Dana watch two archeologists brush sand off the bones.
Dan asks, STILL THINKING ABOUT YOUR DINO NAME DILEMMA?
Dana replies, DEX, ACTUALLY. I SHOULD CALL HIM.
[Typing]
Dana types on her smartphone, with the brown-haired man and Dan standing on each side of her
[Phone ringing, Kayla grunting, tense music plays]
In reality, Saara’s smartphone lies on the carpet just inside Dex’s room. Kayla runs and picks it up.
Kayla says, HELLO?
On the phone, Dana says, HI.
[Dex grunting]
Behind Kayla, Dex pulls on a pink string tied to a bedpost.
Kayla says, PERFECT TIMING. WE NEED YOUR HELP. AND YOUR HELP. AND YOUR HELP!
On the smartphone screen, Dana, Dan, and the brown-haired man look at each other.
[Dex grunting, intense music plays]
In the game, Dex stands close to the tube opening with his arm behind the open hatch. Dana arrives and grabs Dex’s other arm.
Dex shouts, DANA!
[Growling, both grunting]
Dex shouts, TREK!
The brown-haired man, Trek, grabs Dana’s arm. Dan grabs Trek’s arm.
Dex shouts, DAN!
Dan says, DANA HAD A FEELING YOU COULD USE SOME BACKUP.
Trek says, WHEN DID YOU GET A SUB?
Dana says, TIME TO COMPLETE THIS DINO EXPERIMENT. PULL!
[Grunting, squid growling, rustling, squelching, creaking, clanking, clicking, adventurous music plays]
Dana, Trek, and Dan pull Dex’s arm free. Dana runs to the hatch and closes it.
Through the intercom, Dex shouts, KAYLA, RISE!
[Kayla laughing, grunting, thumping, adventurous music continues]
Kayla pulls the helm down, and the submarine rises. The colossal squid lets go of the front and grabs the back of the submarine as it passes. The megalodon grabs the colossal squid and swims away.
[Laughing]
The lights change from red to white.
Dex cheers, WOO-HOO!
Dana says, WE DID IT!
Dex says, THANKS, EVERYONE.
Dana, Dex, Trek, and Dan put their hands out, with their fingers curled like claws, then raise them over their heads.
[Everyone roaring]
In reality, Kayla lets go of the steering wheel attached to the control panel in Dex’s room.
Kayla shouts, WE'RE ALIVE!
Dex holds Saara’s smartphone and looks down at the screen.
Dex says, THANKS TO A LOT OF SEESTER AND FRIENDS HELP.
[Dana laughing, happy music plays]
At the dig site, Dana says, I FINALLY GOT IT. I KNOW WHAT I'LL NAME MY NEW DINO DISCOVERY. SEESTERSAURUS DEX. BECAUSE THESE LITTLE DINOS LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER.
In his room, Dex says, REALLY? THANK YOU!
[Dana chuckling]
Kayla appears beside Dex on Dana’s smartphone screen.
Kayla asks, WHAT ABOUT KAYLASAURUS DEX?
At the dig site, Dana says, UH, MAYBE THE NEXT DINO I FIND.
In his room, Dex says, NOT IF I FIND IT FIRST!
Kayla says, OH!
At the dig site, Dana says, OOH.
Dan says, CHALLENGE ON.
Trek says, LET THE NEW DISCOVERIES BEGIN.
[Chuckling]

Dana replies, NOT BAD. PEOPLE USUALLY NAME DINOSAURS AFTER WHERE THEY WERE DISCOVERED, AFTER SOMEONE, OR…
The brown-haired man says, DANA-TOPS.
Dana says, OR AFTER ONE OF THEIR CHARACTERISTICS.
The brown-haired man says, ALL RIGHT. DINO NAMING EXPERIMENT CONTINUED.
[Clicking, melancholy music plays]
The brown-haired man puts Dana’s smartphone on the ground. Her screensaver is a photograph of her and Dex dressed in dinosaur costumes.
[Whooshing, clanking, intense music plays]
In Dex and Kayla’s game, Dex opens a hatch and finds the large tooth.
Dex says, GOT IT!
[Crashing, megalodon growling, clicking]
Speaking into a microphone, Kayla says, DEX, SHE'S GOING TO BITE RIGHT THROUGH THE SUB. WHAT DO WE DO?
Over an intercom, Saara says, YOU NEED TO SHUT OFF ALL YOUR POWER SO THE SHARK CAN'T DETECT YOUR ELECTRICITY OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
Dex says, BECAUSE OF THEIR ELECTRORECEPTORS! GREAT IDEA, SAARA. KAYLA, HEAD TO THE ENGINE ROOM AND SHUT DOWN ALL THE POWER.
Kayla says, ALREADY ON IT!
[Steam hissing, squeaking, intense music plays, whirring, rumbling, whooshing]
Kayla runs to the engine room, turns two wheels, and the lights go out. The megalodon releases the submarine and swims away.
Speaking into the intercom, Dex says, IT WORKED!
[Triumphant music plays]
In the engine room, Kayla reaches up and turns two wheels, shutting down the power.
Kayla shouts, I SAVED EVERYONE!
The game ends, and Dex walks to his bedroom door.
Dex says, THANKS AGAIN, SAARA.
Saara says, HEY, DON'T THANK ME. THANK DANA. IT WAS HER IDEA.
Dex shifts and looks down.
Saara says, SHE SAID SHE WOULD CALL YOU LATER.
Dex says, HOPEFULLY, I WON'T BE BUSY WITH MY OWN DINO DISCOVERY.
[Melancholy music plays, door creaking, clicking]
Dex shuts his bedroom door.
Kayla asks, WHY ARE YOU SO MAD AT DANA?
[Adventurous music plays]
Dex pulls down a toy periscope, and he and Kayla appear in their submarine.
Dex says, I'M NOT. PERISCOPE DOWN.
Kayla says, PERISCOPE UP.
[Melancholy music plays]
Kayla pushes the periscope up, and she and Dex appear in the bedroom.
Kayla says, YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY FOR HER. SHE'S ABOUT TO DISCOVER AND NAME A NEW DINOSAUR.
[Dex sighing]
Dex mumbles, I JUST WISH I WAS THERE WITH HER.
Kayla says, WHAT'S THAT? YOU MUMBLED.
Dex says, I JUST WISH I WAS THERE WITH HER. I MISS DOING DINO EXPERIMENTS TOGETHER.
Kayla says, YOU SHOULD TELL HER THAT.
Dex says, I DON'T WANNA BOTHER HER.
Kayla says, WELL, WHILE YOU SULK, DO YOU WANNA HELP FIX OUR SUB?
Dex says, SURE.
Kayla walks to a cardboard control panel. She lifts the side, and she and Dex look beneath it.
Kayla says, LET'S SEE HERE.
[Typing, phone ringing]
Saara stands on the other side of the bedroom door, her ear pressed against it. She takes out her smartphone and types.
[Adventurous music plays, clicking, beeping]
In the game, the submarine wobbles in the ocean. In the control room, Kayla turns a dial.
Kayla says, REPAIRS ARE DONE.
Dex says, BUT HOW DO WE TEST TO SEE IF THE TOOTH WE DISCOVERED IS BIGGER THAN A MEGALODON TOOTH?
Kayla asks, CAN'T WE JUST GO TO THE SURFACE AND COMPARE IT TO A TOOTH FOSSIL?
Dex says, THAT'S DEFINITELY HOW PALEONTOLOGISTS DO IT, BUT IF WE TURN OUR POWER BACK ON...
Kayla says, THE MEGALODON WILL SENSE US AND CHEW THROUGH OUR SUB.
Over the intercom, Saara says, INCOMING TRANSMISSION FROM ADMIRAL DANA.
In reality, Saara looks at her smartphone.
Saara says, OVER TO YOU, DANA.
[Saara giggling]
Saara slides her smartphone under Dex’s door.
[Adventurous music plays]
In the submarine, Dana appears on a screen.
Dana says, CAPTAIN, REPORT.
[Kayla clearing her throat]
Dex says, YOU TELL HER, COMMANDER.
Kayla says, WE DISCOVERED A TOOTH ON THE OCEAN FLOOR THAT WE THINK MIGHT BELONG TO A NEW DINOSAUR.
At the dig site, Dana looks at her smartphone and says, FASCINATING. CAN YOU TELL ME MORE, DEX?
On the submarine, Dex glances at Kayla, and she nods.
Dex says, BUT WE DON'T KNOW IF IT'S THE BIGGEST TOOTH.
Kayla says, DEX SAYS THERE COULD BE SOMETHING BIGGER.
At the dig site, Dana looks at her smartphone and says, WELL, YOU'RE RIGHT THAT ALL DISCOVERIES NEED TO BE VERIFIED, SO HOW ARE YOU GONNA CONFIRM IT?
On the submarine, Dex says, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE SURE IT'S BIGGER THAN THE PREHISTORIC SHARK WITH THE BIGGEST TEETH IN HISTORY.
At the dig site, Dana looks at her smartphone and says, THE MEGALODON?
On the submarine, Dex says, RIGHT.
Kayla says, BUT WE NEED TO TEST IT WITHOUT THE MEGALODON BITING THROUGH OUR SUB.
Dex says, WE WOULDN'T HAVE SURVIVED OUR LAST ENCOUNTER WITHOUT YOUR POWERING DOWN IDEA.
On the screen, Dana says, HAPPY TO HAVE HELPED.
Kayla says, THE CAPTAIN ALSO HAS SOMETHING ELSE HE WANTS TO TELL YOU. TELL HER.
On the screen, Dana says, GO ON, CAPTAIN.
Dex says, JUST THAT...
[Dex clearing his throat, adventurous music continues]
Dex says, I MISS YOU. SIR.
At the dig site, Dana looks at her smartphone and says, I MISS YOU TOO. CAPTAIN.
On the submarine, Dex smiles at the screen.
Kayla says, I WISH I KNEW WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO MISS MY SISTER.
[Dana laughing on the screen]
Kayla continues, SHE'S SO ANNOYING. SHE ALWAYS DOES THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT I ASK HER TO DO.
At the dig site, Dana looks at her smartphone and says, THAT'S IT.
On the submarine, Kayla and Dex ask, WHAT'S IT?
At the dig site, Dana looks at her smartphone and says, THE OPPOSITE. RIGHT NOW, YOU'RE TRYING TO NOT LET THE MEGALODON BITE THROUGH YOUR SUB.
On the submarine, Kayla says, YEAH, OBVIOUSLY.
At the dig site, Dana looks at her smartphone and asks, BUT WHAT IF YOU LET HER?
On the submarine, Dex says, THEN WE COULD COMPARE THE TEETH AND SEE IF WE'VE MADE A NEW DISCOVERY!
Kayla asks, BUT THEN HOW DO WE GET AWAY?
Dex says, THAT'S A PROBLEM FOR LATER, COMMANDER. FULLY POWER UP THE SUB.
[Kayla grunting]
Kayla leaves.
Dex says, THANKS, ADMIRAL.
On the screen, Dana says, LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES.
Dex says, I WILL.
[Tender music plays, static hissing]
Dana smiles and ends the call. On the dig site, a brown-haired man walks to Dana.
A man wearing a yellow vest says, I HAVE A NAME PITCH.
Dana says, DAN!
The vest-wearing man, Dan, says, WHAT IF YOU NAME YOUR NEW DINO AFTER YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE? LIKE THEY DID WITH THE DRACOREX HOGWARTSIA OR ZUUL.
Dana says, OOH, GOOD IDEA. BUT I HAVE SO MANY FAVOURITE MOVIES. MAYBE I COULD NAME IT ORCHID RAPTOR.
[Squeaking, whirring]
In the engine room, Kayla turns the wheels, and the submarine powers up.
Kayla says, HERE, SHARKY, SHARKY, SHARKY.
[Radar beeping]
In the water, the megalodon turns and swims towards the submarine. In the control room, Dex watches the shark approach on the radar.
Dex says, KAYLA, BRACE FOR IMPACT.
[Growling, thudding, steam hissing, shouting, metal creaking, crashing]
A megalodon tooth punctures the control room.
Dex says, KAYLA, IT WORKED!
In the engine room, Kayla says, GREAT!
[Clunking, intense music continues, alarms blaring]
Kayla leaves the engine room. In the control room, Dex holds the tooth from the ocean floor beside the megalodon’s tooth.
Dex says, IT'S BIGGER!
Kayla arrives in the control room.
Dex says, KAYLA, WE MAY HAVE JUST DISCOVERED A NEW DINOSAUR.
[Thudding, steam hissing]
In the engine room, Kayla says, LET'S GET OUT OF HERE BEFORE SHE COMES AROUND TO GET MORE OF OUR TASTY SUB.
In the control room, Dex says, AYE, AYE, COMMANDER. RISE, RISE, RISE!
Kayla sits at the helm.
[Megalodon growling, intense music continues, grunting]
The megalodon swims away from the submarine, and a squid’s arms reach for the submarine.
Kayla says, I CAN'T GET THIS TO...RISE!
[Kayla panting, beeping]
Dex pushes a button, and a screen shows the hatch of a specimen tube open.
Dex says, I LEFT THE SPECIMEN TUBE OPEN! WE CAN'T RISE UNTIL IT'S CLOSED!
Kayla says, THEN CLOSE IT.
[Steam hissing, Kayla exclaiming, rhythmic beeping]
Steam vents into the control room. On the radar, a dot moves closer to the submarine.
Kayla asks, WHAT IS THAT?
[Steam hissing, grunting, intense music continues, squeaking, clanking, water dripping, Dex screaming]
Dex closes the hatch and walks away. The hatch slowly swings open behind him, and Dex stops walking. The squid’s arm shoots out of the tube and grabs Dex. The colossal squid holds onto the front of the submarine.
Dex says, KAYLA, HELP ME!
[Shouting]
In the control room, the screen shows Dex holding onto a pipe as the squid pulls his arm.
Kayla says, THE SQUID HAS DEX. I HAVE TO GO HELP.
[Banging, steam hissing]
Kayla lets go of the helm and starts to get up. The ship shakes, and she grabs the helm.
Kayla says, BUT I CAN'T LET GO OF THE CONTROLS!
Dex says, KAYLA?
[Gentle music plays]
At the dig site, Dan and Dana watch two archeologists brush sand off the bones.
Dan asks, STILL THINKING ABOUT YOUR DINO NAME DILEMMA?
Dana replies, DEX, ACTUALLY. I SHOULD CALL HIM.
[Typing]
Dana types on her smartphone, with the brown-haired man and Dan standing on each side of her
[Phone ringing, Kayla grunting, tense music plays]
In reality, Saara’s smartphone lies on the carpet just inside Dex’s room. Kayla runs and picks it up.
Kayla says, HELLO?
On the phone, Dana says, HI.
[Dex grunting]
Behind Kayla, Dex pulls on a pink string tied to a bedpost.
Kayla says, PERFECT TIMING. WE NEED YOUR HELP. AND YOUR HELP. AND YOUR HELP!
On the smartphone screen, Dana, Dan, and the brown-haired man look at each other.
[Dex grunting, intense music plays]
In the game, Dex stands close to the tube opening with his arm behind the open hatch. Dana arrives and grabs Dex’s other arm.
Dex shouts, DANA!
[Growling, both grunting]
Dex shouts, TREK!
The brown-haired man, Trek, grabs Dana’s arm. Dan grabs Trek’s arm.
Dex shouts, DAN!
Dan says, DANA HAD A FEELING YOU COULD USE SOME BACKUP.
Trek says, WHEN DID YOU GET A SUB?
Dana says, TIME TO COMPLETE THIS DINO EXPERIMENT. PULL!
[Grunting, squid growling, rustling, squelching, creaking, clanking, clicking, adventurous music plays]
Dana, Trek, and Dan pull Dex’s arm free. Dana runs to the hatch and closes it.
Through the intercom, Dex shouts, KAYLA, RISE!
[Kayla laughing, grunting, thumping, adventurous music continues]
Kayla pulls the helm down, and the submarine rises. The colossal squid lets go of the front and grabs the back of the submarine as it passes. The megalodon grabs the colossal squid and swims away.
[Laughing]
The lights change from red to white.
Dex cheers, WOO-HOO!
Dana says, WE DID IT!
Dex says, THANKS, EVERYONE.
Dana, Dex, Trek, and Dan put their hands out, with their fingers curled like claws, then raise them over their heads.
[Everyone roaring]
In reality, Kayla lets go of the steering wheel attached to the control panel in Dex’s room.
Kayla shouts, WE'RE ALIVE!
Dex holds Saara’s smartphone and looks down at the screen.
Dex says, THANKS TO A LOT OF SEESTER AND FRIENDS HELP.
[Dana laughing, happy music plays]
At the dig site, Dana says, I FINALLY GOT IT. I KNOW WHAT I'LL NAME MY NEW DINO DISCOVERY. SEESTERSAURUS DEX. BECAUSE THESE LITTLE DINOS LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER.
In his room, Dex says, REALLY? THANK YOU!
[Dana chuckling]
Kayla appears beside Dex on Dana’s smartphone screen.
Kayla asks, WHAT ABOUT KAYLASAURUS DEX?
At the dig site, Dana says, UH, MAYBE THE NEXT DINO I FIND.
In his room, Dex says, NOT IF I FIND IT FIRST!
Kayla says, OH!
At the dig site, Dana says, OOH.
Dan says, CHALLENGE ON.
Trek says, LET THE NEW DISCOVERIES BEGIN.
[Chuckling]
On Dana’s smartphone screen, Dex and Kayla smile.
