[Doorbell ringing, energetic music plays, whistling, doorbell ringing]

In an animation, a takeout restaurant has a countertop with jars of paint and a box of paintbrushes. Jars and cups with art supplies fill two coolers by a drink machine. A menu features pictures of food, brushes, paint, scissors, and condiment bottles. Live-action video clips show Bec Hill, age 38, holding her staff card. She has curly pink hair. She uses a banana as a telephone and sifts flour. In the animation, straws, paint bottles, sunglasses, and drinks move on a conveyor belt. In a live-action video clip, children paint.

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Door creaking, lively music plays, rustling]

In live action, Bec enters Makeaway Takeaway brushing her teeth. She wears a yellow shirt, red plaid pants, and blue suspenders.

Bec says, OH, HI. I'M BEC. AND WELCOME TO MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY! I'M NOT LATE, JUST A LITTLE RUSHED. WHILE I FINISH GETTING READY, HERE'S TODAY'S MENU.

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

In video clips, Bec draws an astronaut. On a couch, a family with two adults, two girls and a boy, sit chatting. In a field, a scout troop leads a scout leader wearing a bandana over his eyes.

Bec narrates, COMING UP ON TODAY'S SHOW, A TECHNIQUE THAT'S OUT OF THIS WORLD. I GET A CALL FROM A CUSTOMER WITH A CHATTERBOX PROBLEM. AND WE MAKE A RAPID DELIVERY TO SURPRISED BUSY SCOUT CLUB LEADER.

[Whooshing, lively music plays]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

Bec says, I'M TRYING TO WIN EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH, SO I NEED TO PROVE HOW GOOD I AM AT MY JOB. OOPS.

[Blooping]

Bec jumps behind the counter and emerges wearing the yellow shirt, an apron, and blue shorts.

Bec says MUCH BETTER! OH, THINK I NEED A NEW TOOTHBRUSH, THOUGH.

[Dinging]

Bec says, ALTHOUGH THIS ONE HAS GIVEN ME AN IDEA FOR...

[Energetic rock music plays]

Bec says, A TAKEAWAY TECHNIQUE!

[Whooshing]

Bec sits at a table with black paper, scissors, and white paint.

Bec says, INSTEAD OF USING A PAINT BRUSH, I'M GOING TO USE AN OLD TOOTHBRUSH TO CREATE A PICTURE THAT'S OUT OF THIS WORLD.

[Upbeat music plays]

Bec says, TAKE A PIECE OF BLACK PAPER. DIP YOUR TOOTHBRUSH INTO SOME WATERED-DOWN WHITE PAINT. START FLICKING. IT'S CREATING MY STARS.

[Rustling]

Bec flicks white paint onto the black paper.

Bec says, I REALLY WANT TO LIGHT UP THAT NIGHT SKY. ALL RIGHT. I THINK THAT'S ENOUGH STARS.

[Upbeat music plays, markers squeaking]

Bec picks up a piece of white paper and draws.

Bec says, WHILE THAT'S DRYING, I'M USING THIS SPARE PIECE OF PAPER TO DRAW AN ASTRONAUT. GIVING MY ASTRONAUT A BIG ROUND HELMET. AN ARM. A LEG. SOME BUTTONS. AND A BACKPACK WITH SOME STRAPS.

[Whooshing]

Bec puts her cut-out astronaut drawing and a space shuttle on the table.

Bec says, CUT THAT OUT. I'VE CUT OUT MY ASTRONAUT, AND I'VE DONE A SMALL SPACE SHUTTLE BECAUSE IT'S GOING TO BE IN THE BACKGROUND. STICK THOSE DOWN. I'M USING A GLUE STICK. YOU COULD ALSO USE P.V.A.

[Whooshing]

Bec glues the astronaut and the shuttle to the black paper.

Bec says, MY ASTRONAUT AT A JAUNTY ANGLE, BECAUSE THEY ARE FLOATING AROUND. AND ADD MY SPACE SHUTTLE. THEN ADD SOME DETAILS WITH A SILVER AND GOLD PEN.

Bec draws a wiggly line from the shuttle to the astronaut and adds gold and silver details to the astronaut.

Bec says, JUST DOING A WIGGLY LINE FROM MY SPACE SHUTTLE. MAKING IT BIGGER AS IT GETS CLOSER TO US. AND A NICE SHINY VISOR. DO SOME OF THESE BUTTONS. GET THE STRAPS OF THE PACK. TO ADD A PLANET, I'M TRACING AROUND A CARDBOARD TUBE WITH MY GOLD PEN.

Bec traces the end of a cardboard toilet paper tube. She adds glue to the inside of her planet and shakes gold glitter over the glue. She tips the paper, and unused glitter falls onto a plate.

Bec says, PUTTING SOME GLUE STICK INSIDE. I'M GOING TO PUT GLITTER ON THIS, SO I'M JUST PUTTING IT OVER A PLATE. THIS MEANS THAT ANY GLITTER I DON'T USE, I CAN SWEEP UP AND USE AGAIN LATER. AND THAT IS HOW YOU MAKE A MASTERPIECE USING AN OLD TOOTHBRUSH.

[Splattering]

Bec stands by the conveyor belt on the counter. Colourful plates are on the unmoving belt. She holds a pencil and a clipboard.

Bec says, A GOOD EMPLOYEE ALWAYS DOES A STOCK TAKE. SO, I'M GOING TO COUNT ALL THE PLATES.

[Beeping, whirring, upbeat music plays]

Bec turns on the conveyor belt, and the plates move.

Bec says, ONE. TWO.

[Upbeat music continues]

Bec counts plates on the conveyor belt.

Bec says, I DIDN'T REALIZE WE HAD SO MANY PLATES!

[Alert chiming, whirring, paper rustling]

A piece of paper prints beneath a circular screen. On the screen, the two girls appear. One has long dark brown hair and wears a pink shirt. The second girl is taller and has long, dark brown hair. She wears a coral pink shirt.

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

Bec says, HELLO, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

The brown-haired girl says, BEC, WE NEED YOUR HELP.

The taller girl says, OUR FAMILY ARE SUCH CHATTERBOXES. IT'S HARD TO GET A WORD IN. CAN YOU HELP US COME UP WITH A MAKE AND SOLVE THIS NOISY PROBLEM?

Bec says, I CERTAINLY CAN. I KNOW JUST THE THING. ONE ARTY DELIVERY COMING RIGHT UP.

[Rustling, energetic music plays, whistling, footsteps pattering, whooshing, chiming, whooshing]

Bec grabs the piece of paper and runs. She jumps into a comic panel, ties her shoelaces, and straightens her socks. Then, she snaps her suspenders, puts on a hat, and fastens a belt with dangling markers around her waist. Bec winks and gives a thumbs-up.

Bec says, LET'S DO THIS!

[Energetic music plays]

In a backyard, the brown-haired girl, Isla, says, MY NAME IS ISLA. I'M NINE. THIS IS MY SISTER, HANNAH. SHE'S 10.

Isla and the taller girl, Hannah, stand back-to-back with their arms crossed.

Isla and Hannah dance on the grass.

Isla says, WHEN HANNAH GROWS UP, SHE WANTS TO BE A VET. BUT I WANT TO BE A DENTIST.

Hannah and Isla sit on the couch with their parents and brother.

Isla narrates, THIS IS OUR FAMILY.

[Everyone chattering]

Hannah narrates, IT'S FAIR TO SAY, WE ALL LOVE TO TALK, TELL JOKES, AND GENERALLY HAVE LOTS OF FUN.

Isla says, THE ONLY PROBLEM IS, IT'S HARD TO GET A WORD IN WITH THIS LOT!

[Everyone chattering]

Hannah says, THAT'S WHY WE GAVE BEC A CALL.

[Doorbell ringing]

Isla’s dad says, OH, IS THAT THAT THE DOORBELL?

Isla says, PHEW! BEC'S HERE.

[Whooshing, upbeat music plays]

In an art studio, Hannah and Isla wear aprons. They, with Bec, stand beside a table with a large piece of blue paper, scissors, markers, tape, an empty water jug, paint and paintbrushes.

Bec says, HI, HANNAH. HI, ISLA.

Isla and Hannah say, HI.

Bec asks, SO, WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?

Hanna says, IT'S HARD TO GET A WORD IN WITH THIS FAMILY. EVERYONE IS TALKING OVER EACH OTHER.

Bec says, HMM, A NOISY PROBLEM. I KNOW. YOU NEED A "MY TURN TO TALK" T.V.

A photograph shows a cardboard box with a square panel cut in the front. Beside the panel are knobs, a dial, and speakers. On top is half of the water jug painted silver and a blue pipe cleaner bent like an antenna.

[Fanfare plays, audience cheering, applause]

Isla says, YES!

[Whooshing, upbeat music plays]

Bec puts a cardboard box on the table and tips it on the side.

Bec says, TO MAKE THIS, YOU NEED A LARGE CARDBOARD BOX FROM THE RECYCLING. I'VE FOLDED IN THE TOP FLAPS. I'M LAYING THE BOX ON ITS SIDE AND DRAWING A BIG SQUARE RIGHT HERE. I'M GOING TO USE A RULER SO MY LINES ARE NICE AND STRAIGHT.

[Marker scratching]

Isla and Hannah watch Bec draw her lines where for the cut-out panel.

Hannah says, DO YOU THINK THAT'S STRAIGHT ENOUGH?

Bec says, ALL DONE. LET'S CUT IT OUT. I'M USING A PENCIL TO POKE A HOLE THROUGH SO I CAN CUT IT OUT MORE EASILY, BUT YOU MIGHT WANT AN ADULT TO HELP YOU.

[Popping]

Bec punches a hole in the cardboard with the tip of a sharp pencil.

Bec says, OKAY. NOW I CAN FIT MY SCISSORS IN.

[Whooshing, scissors snipping]

Bec cuts out the panel.

Bec says, ALL CUT OUT. STARTING TO LOOK A BIT MORE LIKE A T.V. NOW. ISLA, CAN YOU TAKE THAT?

Bec gives Isla the box.

Isla says, SURE.

Bec says, THANK YOU. WE'RE GOING TO WORK ON THE NEXT BIT. I'VE GOT THIS LARGE PLASTIC BOTTLE THAT I TOOK OUT OF THE RECYCLING, BECAUSE WE'RE GOING TO MAKE AN OLD-FASHIONED T.V. AND I THINK THAT THE HANDLE ON THE BOTTLE LOOKS A LOT LIKE AN AERIAL. I'M JUST PUSHING THE SCISSORS THROUGH THE EDGE HERE. BE CAREFUL. MIGHT WANT AN ADULT TO HELP YOU WITH THIS BIT.

[Popping]

Bec cuts the bottle.

Bec says, NOW I'VE PUSHED IT THROUGH, I CAN CUT THE TOP OF THE BOTTLE OFF. BE CAREFUL, BECAUSE SOMETIMES PLASTIC CAN HAVE SHARP EDGES.

[Banging]

Bec cuts the bottle in half.

Bec says, I'VE CUT THE TOP OFF. THAT WILL BE THE AERIAL. AND I'M JUST GOING TO PINCH AND SNIP. I'M GOING TO KEEP THE BOTTOM OF THE BOTTLE. YOU'LL SEE WHY LATER.

[Upbeat music continues]

Bec cuts the bottom half of the bottle in half. She keeps the top and bottom of the bottle and takes the middle section off the table.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO BE USING THESE TWO BITS. THIS CAN GO BACK IN MY RECYCLING. AND I NEED SOME MASKING TAPE. SO, CAN YOU PULL OFF SOME PIECES OF MASKING TAPE FOR ME, PLEASE?

[Tape ripping]

Isla holds the tape dispenser against the table, and Hannah takes a piece of tape. Bec lines the edge of the bottom of the bottle with tape.

Bec says, THANK YOU. AND I'M LINING IT AROUND THE EDGE, BECAUSE SOMETIMES IT CAN BE A BIT SHARP. THIS MAKES IT SAFE TO PUT ON OUR HEADS.

Bec puts the piece of the bottle on Hannah’s head.

Bec says, OH, BEAUTIFUL.

[Girls giggling]

Bec says, CUTE. ISLA, CAN I HAVE THE BOX, PLEASE?

[Thumping]

Isla gives Bec the box, and she puts it on the table.

Bec says, THANK YOU! THE FIRST THING I WANT TO DO IS STICK THIS IN HERE. I'M USING SOME STRONG GLUE. POURING THIS IN THE CENTRE. BIG CIRCLE.

Bec pours glue on the inside of the top of the box and presses the bottom half of the bottle against it.

Bec says, FLIP IF OVER, PUT THE AERIAL ON TOP.

Bec puts a circle of glue on the box and glues the top half of the bottle to the top of the box. She turns the box so the cut-out panel is on top and presses two small boxes to the cardboard beside the panel.

Bec says, TO MAKE THIS AN OLD STYLE T.V., I'M GOING TO ADD SOME BUTTONS. I'VE TAKEN THESE LITTLE BOXES OUT OF THE RECYCLING. I'M USING DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE TO STICK IT ON, BUT YOU COULD ALSO USE GLUE. THERE'S ONE. THERE'S ANOTHER.

Bec says, WE'LL GET SOME SMALLER BUTTONS. I THINK THESE BOTTLE CAPS WILL DO. WOULD YOU LIKE TO DO THE OTHER ONES?

Hannah says, YES, PLEASE.

Isla says, YES.

Hannah and Isla put bottle caps beneath the small boxes, using two-sided tape.

Bec says, THERE YOU GO. EXCELLENT! WE'RE READY TO PAINT. YOU'VE GOT SOME NICE RED THERE. WHILE THEY GIRLS ARE PAINTING THE T.V. RED, I'M PAINTING THE AERIAL SILVER.

[Upbeat music plays]

Isla and Hannah paint the outside of the cardboard box red. Bec paints the jug-top aerial silver.

Bec asks, WHO IS THE WORST CHATTERBOX IN YOUR FAMILY?

Isla says, LET'S JUST SAY... MY SISTER.

[Laughing]

Bec asks, WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO TALK ABOUT?

Hannah says, I LIKE TO TALK ABOUT EVERYTHING.

Bec asks, OOH! DO YOU TALK IN YOUR SLEEP TOO?

Hannah says, NO, BUT I KNOW SOMEONE WHO DOES.

Bec asks, WHO?

Hannah says, MY LITTLE BROTHER.

Bec says, YOUR LITTLE BROTHER? WHAT DOES HE SAY?

Hannah says, UH, SINGS SONGS.

[Bec gasping]

Bec says, THAT'S SO COOL! ONCE YOU FINISH PAINTING, WAIT FOR IT TO DRY.

[Splattering]

The bottle cap buttons are painted in different colours, and the cut-out panel is outlined with silver.

Bec says, THE PAINT'S DRY. I'VE PAINTED THE BUTTONS, I'VE ADDED SOME SILVER HERE, AND I'VE JUST DONE SOME BLACK OUTLINE TO GIVE IT A NICE CARTOON EFFECT. TO FINISH THE AERIAL, HANNAH IS GOING TO PUT A PIPE CLEANER ON THERE.

Hannah ties the blue pipe cleaner to the jug handle.

Bec says, EXCELLENT. YOU'RE GOING TO GET GOOD RECEPTION NOW. AND FOR THE FINAL BIT, WE'RE GOING TO ADD AN EGG TIMER. ISLA, CAN YOU STICK THAT ON THERE FOR ME?

[Thunking]

Bec turns the cardboard T.V., and Isla attaches the egg timer beneath the buttons.

Bec says, LET'S SEE IF IT WORKS.

Bec puts the T.V. on Hannah, and the bottom of the water jug fits on top of her head.

Bec says, PERFECT. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Hannah says, I—

Bec says, NO, CAN'T TALK YET. NOW TELL US.

[Dinging]

Bec turns the dial on the timer.

Hannah says, I LOVE IT!

[Bec laughing]

Bec says, HAH! WELL, THERE YOU HAVE IT. THAT WAS MY TURN TO TALK T.V.

[Timer clicking, dinging, upbeat music plays]

On the couch, Hannah says, THANKS, BEC! THE TURN TO TALK T.V. HAS REALLY HELPED US HAVE OUR SAY.

Isla says, WHEN SOMEONE HAS IT, WE ALL STOP AND LISTEN.

[Their dad clearing his throat]

Isla’s dad says, THANKS, BEC. IT REALLY IS GENIUS.

[Everyone laughing, whooshing, scissors snipping]

In the Makeaway Takeaway, Bec says, AW, HAPPY TO HELP! ANOTHER SATISFIED CUSTOMER.

[Dinging, squeaking]

Bec puts the piece of paper in a tray. Bec wipes a metal jar lid.

Bec says, A GOOD EMPLOYEE ALWAYS KEEPS THINGS CLEAN, WHICH IS WHY I'M WASHING UP ALL THESE OLD JAM JARS TO USE AGAIN LATER.

[Clinking, rhythmic clinking]

Bec hits jars with a paintbrush handle.

Bec says, OOH.

[Clinking, burping]

Bec hits the last jar, and it burps.

Bec says, HUH, THAT'S WEIRD. TIME FOR SOME PAPER PUPPETRY.

[Whooshing]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Slurping, upbeat music plays]

Bec stands beside a drawing of a drink with a curly straw. She pretends to sip from the straw, and the drawing of the liquid in the cup gets lower. She pulls a piece of wood at the bottom of the paper.

Bec says, NOW LET'S SEE HOW IT'S DONE.

[Slurping, burping]

The wood is attached to a semicircle on the back of the paper. It turns when Bec pulls the wood, lowering the brown in the cup. When she pushes the wood, the liquid appears to fill the cup.

[Whooshing]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Heavy exhaling, squeaking, cheerful music plays]

Bec breathes on her staff card and shines it on her suspender strap.

Bec says, A GOOD EMPLOYEE ALWAYS CARRIES THEIR STAFF CARD.

[Dinging]

Bec holds the card beside her face and smiles.

Bec says, I REMEMBER WHEN THEY TOOK THIS PHOTO. THEY TOLD ME TO "SAY CHEESE," BUT I THOUGHT THEY SAID "SNEEZE." BETTER PUT IT SOMEWHERE SAFE.

She imitates her sneezing face.

Bec says, AND I KNOW JUST THE PLACE. IT'S TIME FOR A MEGA MINI MAKE.

[Splattering, upbeat music plays]

Bec sits at a small table with a ruler, red, blue, and yellow duct tape, and strips of duct tape folded in half. She measures yellow duct tape, cuts it, and folds it.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A WALLET OUT OF TAPE. TO DO THIS, I NEED SOME STRIPS OF TAPE. SO, I'M TAKING A YELLOW TAPE. BUT YOU COULD USE ANY COLOUR YOU LIKE. AND JUST LIKING IT UP TO MAKE SURE I'VE GOT 25 CENTIMETRES. THEN CUTTING IT OFF. YOU MIGHT WANT AN ADULT TO HELP YOU WITH THIS BIT. ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR TAPE, FOLD IT IN HALF UNTIL YOUR EDGES ARE MATCHING. ONCE YOU'VE DONE THAT, DO IT SEVEN MORE TIMES SO YOU END UP WITH EIGHT STRIPS THAT ARE NO LONGER STICKY. TAKING A RED TAPE, I'M GOING TO USE FOR THE BORDER OF MY WALLET, I WANT IT TO BE A BIT LONGER THAN 25 CENTIMETRES. I'LL EXPLAIN WHY LATER.

Bec measures and cuts red tape. She puts it on the table with the sticky side up and lays the ends of the yellow strips on top in a row.

Bec says, WATCH YOUR FINGERS. I'M GOING TO LAY THIS TAPE STICKY SIDE UP. OH, IT IS STICKY. ONCE YOUR TAPE IS FLAT, YOU CAN TAKE YOUR STRIPS AND LAY THEM ACROSS. MAKE SURE YOU LAY THEM DOWN NEXT TO EACH OTHER. NOW THAT THEY'RE ALL STUCK DOWN, I'M GOING TO FOLD MY TAPE OVER.

Bec folds the red tape over the ends of the yellow tape.

Bec says, SO THAT YOU'VE GOT A TAPEY FRINGE. I'VE DONE THE SAME WITH SOME BLUE TAPE. LINE UP YOUR CORNERS, AND THEN TIME TO WEAVE!

Bec takes a blue tapey fringe and lies it sideways across the top of the yellow tapey fringe. She weaves the first blue strip over the first yellow strip, beneath the next yellow strip and then over the top of the next yellow strip. She repeats the pattern until she reaches the end.

Bec says, SO I'M PUTTING MY BLUE ONE OVER THE FIRST YELLOW, UNDER THE SECOND. OVER AND UNDER. OVER AND UNDER. OVER AND UNDER! YOU SEE HOW THAT IS INTERWOVEN THERE?

Bec weaves the next blue strip, starting beneath the yellow strip and then over the top. She repeats it until she reaches the end of the strip.

Bec says, AND WITH YOUR NEXT ONE, DO THE OPPOSITE. UNDER AND OVER. THEN REPEAT UNTIL YOU HAVE A COMPLETE SQUARE.

[Splattering]

Bec weaves the tape, alternating between starting over and starting under the yellow strip. She pulls the ends to tighten the weaving.

Bec says, JUST TIGHTEN THESE OUT JUST BY HOLDING ONTO THE ENDS AND PULLING THEM DOWN. ONCE YOU'VE FINISHED WEAVING, SEAL UP THE ENDS WITH SOME TAPE.

[Tearing, whooshing, upbeat music continues]

Bec folds pieces of red tape over the edges of the square.

Bec says, STICK SOME TAPE HERE, FOLDING IT OVER. STICKING IT DOWN. AND SOME MORE TAPE. THERE! YOU'VE NOW GOT A SQUARE PIECE OF FABRIC. FOLD IT OVER, TAPE DOWN THE EDGES. JUST GET THAT ALONG THE EDGE, MAKING SURE THEY LINE UP. THEN FOLDING OVER AND REPEATING ON THE OTHER SIDE.

Bec folds the square and tapes two sides.

Bec says, THERE IS YOUR WALLET. BUT I STILL NEED SOMEWHERE TO PUT MY STAFF CARD. I'VE CUT OUT SOME PLASTIC FROM THIS RECYCLED FRUIT POT. AND JUST TO MAKE SURE THAT THE END DOESN'T GET TOO SHARP, I'M GOING TO COVER IT UP WITH A PIECE OF TAPE, STICKING DOWN THE SIDES.

[Whooshing]

Bec tapes a piece of clear plastic to the outside of the wallet and puts her staff card in.

Bec says, POP MY STAFF CARD IN. AND I'M READY TO GO!

[Lively music plays]

Later, Bec stands at the counter with her clipboard.

Bec says, IF I CAN TICK OFF EVERYTHING FROM THIS LIST, I MIGHT JUST GET EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH! LET'S SEE. GET TO WORK ON TIME. CHECK. STOCK TAKE. CHECK. CLEANING. CHECK. AH, ALL THAT'S LEFT IS TO GET AN ORDER FROM A...

[Alert chiming]

Bec says, CUSTOMER!

Arianna appears on the circular screen. She has long black hair and wears eyeglasses and a red shirt.

Arianna says, IT’S THE MAKE OF THE DAY! HI, BEC! I'M ARIANNA, AND I'M FROM NEWCASTLE.

Bec says, HI, ARIANNA. THANKS FOR CALLING MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

[Whirring, upbeat music plays]

Arianna lists her ingredients, and green and white craft foam, green wool, and an empty two-litre bottle appear on the plates on the conveyor belt.

Arianna asks, WHAT CAN YOU MAKE UP WITH THESE THREE INGREDIENTS? CRAFT FOAM. THICK WOOL. PLASTIC BOTTLE.

Bec says, WELL, THIS MIGHT BE A BIT TRICKY. I MIGHT NEED SOME INSPIRATION. TELL ME, IF YOU COULD BE ANY ANIMAL, WHAT WOULD YOU BE?

[Arianna roaring]

Arianna says, IT'S A LION.

[Bec chuckling]

Bec says, ALL RIGHT, NICE. I LIKE THAT. WILD ANIMALS, THAT'S WHAT I'M GETTING HERE. AND WE'VE GOT SOME GREEN... OH, YES! I KNOW. ONE MAKE OF THE DAY COMING RIGHT UP.

Arianna says, THANKS, BEC!

[Whooshing]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A CROC WATER BOTTLE CARRIER WITH ARIANNA'S INGREDIENTS.

[Splattering]

A finished croc water bottle carrier appears. The water bottle is held in the open mouth of the crocodile.

[Fanfare plays, audience cheering, applause, splattering]

Bec says, TAKING THE RECYCLED PLASTIC BOTTLE, I NEED TO CUT THE TOP OFF. SO, USING YOUR SCISSORS, PIERCE IT THROUGH THE END. CAREFUL, YOU MIGHT WANT AN ADULT TO HELP YOU.

[Crunching]

Bec pokes a hole in the water bottle.

Bec says, ONCE YOU'VE MADE A LITTLE HOLE, GET YOUR SCISSORS IN AND CUT THE TOP OFF.

[Rustling]

She cuts the top off the bottle and holds the bottom.

Bec says, NEXT, I'M GOING TO ADD SOME TRIANGLES DOWN THE SIDES TO MAKE MY CROCODILE'S MOUTH.

[Lively music continues, clattering, snipping]

Bec cuts a triangle in each side of the bottle.

Bec says, THAT'S ONE. AND ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE, SAME AGAIN. YOU CAN ALREADY SEE HOW IT LOOKS A BIT LIKE A MOUTH. NEXT, USE A HOLE PUNCH TO MAKE A HOLE ON EACH SIDE.

[Crunching]

She punches a hole on each side of the bottle.

Bec says, THIS IS WHERE YOUR WOOL WILL GO LATER. THEY'RE ON OPPOSITE SIDES NOW. AND BECAUSE THIS IS GOING TO BE A CROCODILE, I NEED TO PAINT IT GREEN. I'VE MIXED SOME GREEN PAINT WITH P.V.A. SO IT STICKS TO THE PLASTIC. AND I'M PAINTING THE INSIDE OF THE BOTTLE. SO, THE GREEN LOOKS NICE AND SHINY ON THE OUTSIDE. GET THAT ALL AROUND.

[Splashing]

She paints the inside of the bottle.

Bec says, I THINK THAT IS PRETTY MUCH READY. LET'S LEAVE IT TO DRY.

[Splattering]

Bec puts two blue bottle tops on the table, with white circles and black lines in the middle.

Bec says, TO MAKE MY CROCODILE'S EYES, I'M USING SOME RECYCLED MILK BOTTLE TOPS, AND I'VE ADDED SOME WHITE STICKERS ON THEM WITH SOME BLACK FELT TIP FOR THE PUPILS. I'VE GOT A PIECE OF CARDBOARD TUBE, AND I AM CONNECTING THESE WITH STRONG GLUE.

Bec glues an eye to each side of the tube.

Bec says, THERE'S ONE EYE. THERE'S THE OTHER EYE. AND, AH-HAH! MY BOTTLE IS READY. USING MY STRONG GLUE, PUT A BLOB THERE. AND STICK THE EYES ON THERE.

Bec glues the tube to the side of the bottle.

Bec says, TO MAKE MY CROCODILE'S NOSE, I'M USING ONE OF ARIANNA'S OTHER INGREDIENTS, THE CRAFT FOAM. I'VE CUT A STRIP OF THE DARK GREEN, AND THEN CUT THE END TO A POINT. I'LL SHOW YOU WHY IN A SECOND. I'M STICKING IT ON WITH DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE, BUT YOU COULD ALSO USE STRONG GLUE. STARTING AT THE BACK, JUST GETTING IT IN THERE TO GIVE HIM A BROW.

Bec lays the foam over the eye tube and across the side to the edge of the bottom. She folds it up at the end.

Bec says, FOLDING IT OVER. PUTTING IT ALL THE WAY DOWN THE END OF THE BOTTLE. AND THEN FOLDING IT BACK ON ITSELF TO MAKE SOME NOSTRILS. TO GIVE MY CROCODILE SOME SCALES, I'VE CUT UP THE REST OF THE CRAFT FOAM INTO LONG STRIPS, AND I'M LAYERING THEM TO CREATE THAT SCALE EFFECT. I'M STICKING THE LAYERED SCALES AROUND MY CROCODILE WITH DOUBLE-SIDED TAPED AND USING THE LONGER STRIP TO COVER UP WHERE IT JOINS AT THE TOP. A NICE SCALY CROCODILE.

Bec tapes the scales to the bottle and puts white foam teeth inside the opening.

Bec says, TO MAKE THE TEETH, I'M USING SOME OF MY OWN WHITE CRAFT FOAM, WHICH I'VE CUT INTO POINTY TEETH SHAPES. AND I'M JUST STICKING THEM INSIDE MY CROCODILE'S JAWS. I'VE GOT FOUR, SO, I CAN DO THE BOTTOM ROW AND THE TOP ROW. THEY'RE LOOKING PRETTY GOOD!

Bec says, in a deep voice, THANKS!

[Lively music plays]

Bec ties a knot in one side of the wool and threads it through the holes from the hole punch. She ties a second knot at the other end of the wool.

Bec says, USING THE FINAL INGREDIENT, THE GREEN WOOL, I'M GOING TO MAKE A HANDLE FOR MY CARRIER. I'M JUST TYING A NOT IN THE END OF THE GREEN WOOL SO THAT AS I FEED IT THROUGH THOSE HOLES, I MADE EARLIER, IT WILL STOP IT THERE. PULL IT THROUGH THE OTHER SIDE. TIE ANOTHER KNOT. IT'S LOOKING PRETTY GOOD. JUST TO POP A WATER BOTTLE IN. AND THERE IS YOUR CROC WATER BOTTLE CARRIER. WHILE I PACKAGE THIS UP FOR ARIANNA, HERE ARE SOME OTHER IDEAS. HOW ABOUT A HUNGRY HIPPO? OR A SNAZZY SHARK?

[Whooshing]

Video footage shows a grey hippopotamus bottle carrier and a blue shark bottle carrier.

[Whooshing, rustling, upbeat music plays]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

Bec puts a blue paper bag in a slot in the wall.

Bec says, BETTER MAKE IT SNAPPY AND GET THIS CROC OFF TO ARIANNA. ONE MAKE OF THE DAY IS ON ITS WAY!

[Beeping, rustling]

Bec pushes a button. At her house, Arianna opens the bag and takes out the croc water bottle carrier.

Arianna says, WHOA! I THINK IT'S THE COOLEST THING ANYONE'S EVER MADE FOR ME. THANKS, BEC!

In the Makeaway Takeaway, Bec says, ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER.

[Whooshing]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Clattering]

Bec puts her clipboard in the slot in the wall.

Bec says, OFF YOU GO.

[Beeping, whooshing, rustling]

Bec pushes the button.

Bec says, I'VE JUST SENT THAT CHECKLIST OFF TO MY BOSS. LET'S SEE WHAT THEY SAY.

[Alert chiming, whirring]

A photograph of Bec appears in the slot.

Bec says, WELL, THAT WAS QUICK.

[Bec gasping, cheering]

Bec takes the photograph out of the slot.

Bec says, YES! I DID IT! I GOT EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH! I KNOW EXACTLY WHERE TO PUT THIS. LOOKS LIKE I'VE DONE IT AGAIN! WELL DONE, ME.

[Telephone ringing]

Bec puts her photograph on a bulletin board with eleven other photographs of herself.

Bec says, THE BANANA PHONE!

[Telephone ringing, beeping]

Bec picks up a banana-shaped telephone.

Bec says, HELLO, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY BANANA HOTLINE. HOW CAN I HELP?

[Whooshing]

In a split screen, Todd stands in a field. He wears a blue scout uniform with a red and white scarf knotted over his collar. He has short blond hair and speaks into a cell phone.

Todd says, HI, BEC! IT'S TODD. CAN YOU DELIVER AN ARTY SURPRISE FOR MY SCOUT LEADER?

Bec says, OF COURSE! I'LL BE RIGHT THERE.

[Beeping]

Bec ends the call.

Bec says, TIME TO SPLIT!

[Slide whistle, whooshing]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Indistinct chattering, cheerful music plays]

In the field, a scout troop relaxes around a metal fire pit.

Bec says, HELLO!

Todd and a brown-haired boy sit on a bench. Bec sits down next to Todd.

Todd and the brown-haired boy say, HI, BEC!

Bec asks, SO, YOU WANT ME TO DELIVER A SURPRISE FOR YOUR SCOUT LEADER?

[Birds chirping]

The brown-haired boy says, YES, I'VE LOVED BEING IN 74 SCOUT GROUP. WE'VE DONE SO MANY FUN ACTIVITIES LIKE CAMPING, CLIMBING, AND EVEN CANOEING!

Bec says, OH, WOW! THAT'S SO COOL!

Todd says, YEAH, JAMES HAS TAUGHT US MANY SKILLS, AND HE'S EVEN HELPING US TO GET LOADS OF BADGES.

[Upbeat music plays]

Bec says, AH, YOU'VE INSPIRED ME. I PROMISE TO DELIVER AN ACTION-PACKED SURPRISE FOR YOUR LEADER!

The brown-haired boy and Todd say, YEAH!

Bec says, LET'S MAKE SOME ART!

[Whooshing, clattering]

Bec spreads a long blue tarp on the field and drops metal tent pegs and rope on top of it. Todd gives her foam bedrolls, which she opens on the tarp. Scouts give her clothing from a clothing line. Bec puts camouflage leaves on the pile on the tarp. She adds a helmet, wooden cutlery, and sleeping bags.

[Scouts chattering]

The scouts gather around the fire and toast marshmallows. Todd takes a plate of uncooked marshmallows and gives them to Bec. She lifts one to her mouth.

Todd says, NO.

[Whooshing]

Later, Bec, Toddy, and the brown-haired boy, James, look down at the ground.

Bec says, THAT LOOKS JUST ABOUT READY. JAMES, TODD, CAN YOU GET JAMES THE SCOUT LEADER, PLEASE?

James, the scout, and Todd say, YES!

Todd says, THANKS, JAMES, FOR BEING THE BEST SCOUT LEADER EVER.

James, the scout, says, TAKE A LOOK!

James, the scout leader, says, OH, WOW, GUYS! THAT'S AMAZING! WELL DONE!

[Energetic music plays]

On the tarp, Bec has positioned the gear to resemble three canoes in whitewater rapids. The two canoes on the side each have a child holding a paddle, and the one in the middle is empty.

Bec says, YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED THERE'S A MISSING CANOER IN THE MIDDLE. WILL YOU DO US THE HONOURS?

James, the scout leader, says, YEAH, ALL RIGHT!

[Everyone cheering]

James, the scout leader, puts on a lifejacket and lies in the middle of a canoe-like sleeping bag with a paddle.

James, the scout leader, says, I HAVE TO ADMIT; I WASN'T PREPARED FOR THIS.

[Splashing]

James, the scout leader, pretends to paddle.

Bec says, THAT'S ANOTHER BRILLIANT DAY OF DELIVERING ART TO YOUR DOOR. SEE YOU NEXT TIME ON...

The scouts shout, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

James, the scout leader, pretends to paddle.

[Doorbell ringing, energetic music plays, whistling]
