[Doorbell ringing, energetic music plays, whistling, doorbell ringing]

In an animation, a takeout restaurant has a countertop with jars of paint and a box of paintbrushes. Jars and cups with art supplies fill two coolers by a drink machine. A menu features pictures of food, brushes, paint, scissors, and condiment bottles. Live-action video clips show Bec Hill, in her mid-thirties, holding her staff card. She has curly pink hair. She speaks on a banana-shaped telephone and sifts flour. In the animation, straws, paint bottles, sunglasses, and drinks move on a conveyor belt. In a live-action video clip, children paint.

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Tense music plays]

In live action, Bec examines the countertop in Makeaway Takeaway. She wears a yellow shirt, blue shorts, and a blue apron with suspenders. Bec peers into an empty doughnut box through a magnifying glass and then looks at the counter.

Bec says, WELL, WELL, WELL.

[Needle scratching record]

Bec says, HI, I'M BEC. WELCOME TOMAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

[Relaxing music plays]

Bec says, NOW, WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE? OR SHOULD I SAY...

[Dramatic music plays]

Bec looks at the sprinkles at the bottom of the box.

Bec says, WHAT DON'T WE HAVE HERE?! HM, WHILE I INVESTIGATE, HERE'S TODAY'S MENU.

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Water splashing, whooshing, upbeat music plays]

Video footage shows Bec drawing a person holding an umbrella, a black-haired boy playing a video game, a teacher and students watching a pendulum swing, and a student pouring paint into Bec's bucket.

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

Bec narrates, COMING UP ON TODAY'S SHOW...A TECHNIQUE THAT'S PAW-FECT FOR A RAINY DAY...I GET A CALL FROM A CUSTOMER WHO NEEDS TO SCORE BONUS POINTS WITH HIS MUM...AND A MEGA ARTY EXPERIMENT IS DELIVERED TO A MAGNIFICENT SCIENCE TEACHER.

[Magnifying glass squeaking, tense music plays]

Bec cleans a magnifying glass on her sleeve.

Bec says, PICTURE THE SCENE - IT'S DOUGHNUT DAY. I'D EATEN A WHOLE BOX AND WAS SAVING THE JAMMIEST. BUT TODAY, WHEN I CAME IN...IT WAS GONE!

[Whooshing]

Bec says, CLEARLY THERE'S A MASTER CRIMINAL ON THE LOOSE. BUT FIRST, LET'S INSPECT... A TAKEAWAY TECHNIQUE!

[Animated scissors snipping, upbeat music plays]

Bec sits at a table with a box of pastels and black paper.

Bec says, USING PASTELS ON BLACK PAPER I'M GOING TO MAKE A RAINY DAY SCENE. STARTING WITH A GREY PASTEL AND USING THE LONG EDGE I'M JUST VERY LIGHTLY SKETCHING OUT THE HORIZON, JUST SO I KNOW WHERE TO PLACE EVERYTHING. THEN I'M GOING TO ADD A PERSON WITH AN UMBRELLA. SWEEPING IT DOWN. AND THEN, JUST USING THE SHARP EDGE ON THE TOP, COLOURING IN THE REST.

[Pastel scratching]

Bec colours an umbrella red.

Bec says, WHEN IT RAINS, YOU NEED A NICE MAC. SO, I'M GOING TO TAKE A YELLOW PASTEL NEXT. START WITH THE ARMS 'CAUSE THEY'RE FACING AWAY FROM US. HINT OF AN ARM HERE, LEAVING A LITTLE BIT OF BLACK PAPER TO CREATE A SHADOW. LET'S ADD ANOTHER ARM HERE.

Bec draws a yellow raincoat.

Bec says, AND THE REST OF THEIR RAINCOAT. JUST LEAVING A LITTLE BIT OF BLACK THERE, AGAIN, TO HIGHLIGHT WHERE THOSE ARMS ARE. USING A LIGHTER YELLOW, ADD SOME HIGHLIGHTS WHERE THE SUN IS HITTING THE RAINCOAT. TAKING ANOTHER COLOUR, I LIKE THIS ONE, JUST GOING TO GIVE THEM A HINT OF LEGS.

Bec draws blue pants and green Wellington boots.

Bec says, WE'RE GOING TO NEED SOME WELLIES FOR THIS WET DAY. THIS PERSON'S GOING FOR A WALK SO LET'S GIVE THEM A DOG. AND BACK TO MY GREY. STRAIGHT LINE FOR THE BACK. ADD A LITTLE EAR.

[Pastels clattering, upbeat music continues]

Bec draws a grey dog and a leash. She draws a tree.

Bec says, LET'S GIVE IT A LEASH. DON'T WANT IT RUNNING AWAY. BRING THE LEASH UP TO THE HAND. GOING TO ADD SOME TREES. TAKE A BROWN PASTEL. I'M GOING TO JUST PUSH THIS UP. SEE HOW THE BLACK PAPER DOES THE WORK FOR YOU? GIVING SHADOWS IN THE GAPS WHERE IT APPEARS. A HINT OF A TREE THERE. JUST GOING TO USE SOME ORANGE TO GIVE IT SOME HIGHLIGHTS. NEXT, GREEN FOR THE LEAVES. I'M ACTUALLY GOING TO DO THIS BY HOLDING THE ENTIRE FLAT SIDE. LOOK HOW QUICKLY THAT'S CREATING THE EFFECT OF LEAVES.

Bec draws leaves on one side of the pastel and a bush on the other side of the person. She highlights the bush with the side of a white pastel and then uses the white pastel to draw puddles.

Bec says, GOING TO TAKE SOME WHITE PASTEL NEXT, ADD A LITTLE BIT OF HIGHLIGHT TO THE BUSHES. LET'S DO SOME PUDDLES. I DID SAY THIS WAS A RAINY DAY SCENE, AFTER ALL. SO, USING THE CORNER, JUST GOING TO DO A SQUIGGLY LINE. AND USING THE FLAT SIDE, MAKE SURE IT'S NOT THE BIT WITH GREEN ON IT... A TINY BIT. IN FACT, I THINK IT'S BEEN RAINING SO MUCH YOU'VE GOT A FAIR BIT OF WATER IN THESE BITS, SO I'LL DO A LITTLE HINT OF BLUE IN THE CORNERS. ALL THIS RAINY DAY NEEDS IS SOME RAIN. GOT MY WHITE PASTEL, USING THE LONG EDGE... BRINGING THE RAIN DOWN AT AN ANGLE.

She draws white lines for rain and smudges it with her finger.

Bec says, AND USING A CLEAN FINGER, YOU CAN ACTUALLY SMUDGE THE RAIN AS WELL. AND THERE'S YOUR RAINY DAY SCENE MADE WITH PASTELS AND BLACK PAPER.

[Twinkling, animated paint splattering, upbeat music plays]

Bec examines a teddy bear with her magnifying glass and finds jam.

Bec says, THOMAS TEDDINGTON! WHAT HAPPENED? WAIT A MINUTE! THIS IS JAM! WHERE WERE YOU WHILE I WAS ASLEEP?

[Whooshing, needle scratching record]

Bec says, OH YEAH. TOYS CAN'T TALK.

[Dramatic music plays]

Bec says, HOW CONVENIENT.

[Chiming, whooshing, bright music plays]

Bec says, A CUSTOMER.

On a screen on the wall, the black-haired boy appears.

The black-haired boy says, HELLO, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY. BEC, I NEED YOUR HELP. I LOVE TO RELAX BY PLAYING VIDEO GAMES BUT MY MUM COMPLAINS THAT I LEAVE MY SNACKS AND CRUMBS ALL OVER THE FLOOR. CAN YOU COME UP WITH A CREATIVE SOLUTION SO I CAN PLAY, SNACK, AND NOT LEAVE A MESS?

Bec says, I CERTAINLY CAN. I KNOW JUST THE THING! ONE ARTY DELIVERY COMING RIGHT UP.

[Rustling, energetic music plays, whistling, footsteps pattering, whooshing, chiming]

Bec grabs the piece of paper and runs. She jumps into a comic panel, ties her shoelaces, and straightens her socks. Then, she snaps her suspenders, puts on a hat, and fastens a belt with dangling markers around her waist. Bec winks and gives a thumbs-up.

Bec says, LET'S DO THIS!

[Upbeat music plays]

In his bedroom, the black-haired boy crouches beside his bed.

The black-haired boy, Ky, says, HI, MY NAME'S KY. I LIVE WITH MY MUM AND PET DRAGON, FREDDO.

[Whooshing, roaring]

Ky's mum has curly blonde hair, a red apron, and a leopard-print shirt. Ky holds a photograph of a bearded dragon.

[Whirring]

Ky does the robot dance.

Ky says, MY FAVOURITE SUBJECT AT SCHOOL IS MATHS.

[Beeping, radio chattering]

Ky poses with an astronaut helmet.

Ky says, WHEN I GROW UP, I WANT TO BE AN ASTRONAUT. I LOVE SPACE.

[Beeping, whooshing]

Ky holds a potato with googly eyes on a stick.

Ky says, ONCE I DREAMT I WAS FLYING THROUGH THE GALAXY. BUT...I WAS A POTATO!

[Someone screaming, energetic music plays, video game chiming]

Ky says, THAT WASN'T SO COOL. BUT WHAT IS COOL IS GAMING. IT'S THE PERFECT WAY TO CHILL OUT. THE ONLY THING IS MY MUM HATES IT WHEN I LEAVE MY CRUMBS AND SNACKS ALL OVER THE PLACE. AND THAT'S WHY I GAVE BEC A CALL. SHE'LL KNOW WHAT TO DO.

[Doorbell ringing]

Ky says, BEC'S HERE! YES!

[Animated scissors snipping, upbeat music plays]

In an art studio, Bec and Ky stand beside a table.

Bec says, HI KY.

Ky says, HI.

Bec says, HOW CAN I HELP?

Ky says, MY MUM COMPLAINS THAT I LEAVE SNACKS EVERYWHERE WHILE I'M GAMING. SO COULD YOU HELP WITH THAT?

Bec says, OOH, YES. I THINK YOU NEED A GAMING SNACK STATION.

[Fanfare plays, cheering, applause]

A grey cardboard snack station holds carrot sticks, celery sticks, and a game controller.

[Animated paint splatters, upbeat music plays, thumping]

Bec puts a shoebox and small containers on the table.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO USE A LEFTOVER SHOEBOX AND LOTS OF DIFFERENT POTS AND CONTAINERS FROM THE RECYCLING. NOW, I'VE GOT SOME P.V.A., SO DO YOU. AND IF YOU PUT SOME P.V.A. THERE, I'M GOING TO PUT SOME IN THE CORNERS UP HERE.

Bec and Ky use paintbrushes and apply P.V.A. to the box top.

Bec says, AH, EXCELLENT WORK. I THINK THAT CONTAINER IS THE PERFECT SIZE TO PUT A CONTROLLER IN, DON'T YOU?

Ky says, YEP.

Bec says, YEAH. SO IF YOU STICK THAT ON THERE...

Ky puts a transparent container on P.V.A., and then he and Bec put two cup-shaped containers on the corners.
Bec says, AND THESE POTS ARE GOOD TOO. EXCELLENT. I RECKON THESE'LL BE GREAT FOR PUTTING IN A DRINK AND SOME OTHER SNACKS.

Ky says, YEP, THAT SOUNDS GREAT.

Bec says, I'VE GOT THESE CONTAINERS FOR DECORATION. THOUGHT THIS WAS A PRETTY COOL ONE 'CAUSE IT'S GOT LOTS OF LITTLE BUMPS ON IT THAT LOOK LIKE BOLTS. A LITTLE BIT SCI-FI. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THAT?

[Rustling]

Bec attaches a bumpy plastic container to one side of the box.

Ky says, LOOKS PRETTY GOOD.

Bec says, YEAH! WE CAN ADD SOME MORE THOUGH, YEAH?

Ky says, YEAH.

Bec says, YEAH. I CHOSE THESE TWO LIDS 'CAUSE THEY LOOK A BIT LIKE PORTHOLES OR GIANT SCREWS.

Bec attaches a large lid on each side of the bumpy container.

Bec says, WE'RE USING P.V.A. AND DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE TO STICK THESE ON, BUT YOU COULD ALSO USE STRONG GLUE. WE'RE GOING TO PUT THESE ON THE SIDE.

Bec attaches a round container to each side.

Bec asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Ky replies, I THINK IT LOOKS AMAZING.

Bec says, I THINK IT'S TIME TO PAINT.

Bec and Ky paint the box and containers grey.

Bec says, I'VE MIXED OUR PAINT WITH P.V.A. SO IT STICKS TO THE PLASTIC.

Ky says, THAT'S A GOOD IDEA.

Bec says, YOU'RE QUITE INTO SCI-FI, AREN'T YOU?

Ky says, YEP.

Bec says, WOULD YOU EVER LIKE TO MEET AN ALIEN?

Ky says, YEAH. AND I ACTUALLY THINK THERE'S ALIENS OUT THERE 'CAUSE THERE'S SO MANY PLANETS, THERE HAS TO BE.

Bec says, YEAH. WHAT WOULD YOU ASK AN ALIEN IF YOU MET ONE?

Ky says, HOW DO WE LIVE? LIKE, WHAT DO WE DO TO SURVIVE?

Bec says, WOW, THAT'S A GOOD QUESTION. I WOULD'VE JUST ASKED WHAT'S FOR DINNER.

[Ky chuckling]

Bec says, WE'RE GOING TO KEEP DOING THIS UNTIL IT'S COVERED AND THEN LET IT DRY.

[Animated paint splattering, upbeat music continues]

Later, Bec says, THAT SEEMS DRY.

Ky says, YEP.

Bec says, WE'RE GOING TO ADD SOME DETAILS. SO, I'VE GOT SOME ORANGE PAINT.

Ky says, AND I'VE GOT SOME BLUE PAINT.

Ky and Bec paint details on the box and containers.

Bec says, GREAT. GET YOU TO DO THE OTHER SIDE.

Ky says, MMHMM.

Bec says, I CHOSE ORANGE AND BLUE 'CAUSE I THINK THEY'RE QUITE GOOD SPACE COLOURS.

Ky says, I THINK THEY'RE GOOD COLOURS TOO.

[Animated paint splattering]

Later, Bec says, THIS IS DRY AND I THINK IT LOOKS PRETTY GOOD.

Ky says, YEAH.

Bec says, BUT WE COULD PROBABLY MAKE IT LOOK MORE INDUSTRIAL AND METAL. SO I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU A TECHNIQUE. I'VE GOT A PIECE OF SPONGE AND SOME BLACK PAINT. I'VE GOT A SCRAP PIECE OF PAPER, TOO. SO I'M JUST DIPPING THE SPONGE IN THE BLACK PAINT. NOT TOO MUCH.

Bec dabs the sponge on the paper.

Bec says, AND THEN I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT IT'S NOT TOO WET. SO I'M JUST DABBING IT ON THIS PAPER. THEN I'LL JUST, VERY LIGHTLY, STARTING IN THE CORNER, IT'S A BIT LIKE OIL. THERE AS WELL. I'M STARTING IN THE CORNERS 'CAUSE THAT'S WHERE A LOT OF THE MUCK WOULD GET STUCK.

Bec lightly spreads paint along the top of one side of the box.

Ky says, YEAH.

Bec says, THIS IS ACTUALLY A TECHNIQUE THAT THEY USE IN THE MOVIES TO MAKE PROPS.

Ky says, OH, REALLY?

Bec says, YEAH. 'CAUSE IT'D BE EXPENSIVE TO BUY LOADS AND LOADS OF METAL, THEY OFTEN USE CARDBOARD AND THEY PAINT IT.

Ky says, I NEVER KNEW THAT.

[Animated paint splattering, upbeat music plays]

Later, Bec says, THE EFFECT'S DRY, I'M JUST FINISHING IT OFF WITH SOME BLACK PEN. I'M MAKING THESE LOOK A BIT LIKE VENTS. GOING TO MAKE THIS LOOK LIKE A BIG SCREW.

Bec outlines some of the paint.

Bec asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK?

[Thumping]

Bec puts the box on the table.

Ky replies, I THINK IT LOOKS LIKE AN OLD SPACESHIP ENGINE.

Bec says, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED IT TO LOOK LIKE. NOW ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS ADD YOUR SNACKS! YUM. THEY FIT PERFECTLY.

[Rustling]

Bec puts a small bottle of orange juice in one of the cup-like containers, and Ky fills the other with carrot and celery sticks.

Bec says, EXCELLENT.

[Thumping]

Ky puts his video game controller in the holder.

Bec says, AND THERE YOU HAVE YOUR GAMING SNACK STATION.

[Animated paint splattering, energetic music plays]

In his living room, Ky sits with the gaming snack station on his lap., while his mother sits on a couch.

Ky says, THANKS, BEC, IT'S BRILLIANT.

Ky’s mum says, PASS ME A CELERY STICK.

[Crunching]

Ky gives his mum a celery stick, and she takes a bite.

Ky’s mum says, WORKS A TREAT.

[Whooshing, animated scissors snipping]

In Makeaway Takeaway, Bec says, ANOTHER SATISFIED CUSTOMER.

[Chiming]

Bec puts an order slip in a tray.

[Serious music plays]

Bec says, GOING TO PUT ON MY DETECTIVE MOUSTACHE AND DO SOME THINKING.

[Slide whistle]

Bec’s fake moustache falls off.

Bec says, OH.

[Slide whistle, thumping]

Bec’s fake moustache falls off.

Bec says, OH. CAN'T GET IT TO STAY ON. MAYBE IF I TRY REALLY HARD, I CAN GROW ONE.

[Flatulence tooting]

Bec squeezes her eyes shut and then startles.

Bec says, OOH. EXCUSE ME. TIME FOR SOME PAPER PUPPETRY.

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

Bec stands beside a drawing of a man with long, orange wool hair, a wool beard, and a wool moustache. The wool has small knots on the ends. When Bec pulls on the beard, the man's hair gets shorter. Bec rubs her chin.

Bec says, NOW, LET'S SEE HOW IT'S DONE.

The drawing has long hair and a short beard. On the back of the paper, loose string pulls tight as Bec tugs the beard down.

[Someone shrieking, whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Upbeat music plays]

At the counter, Bec looks at a bulletin board with yarn connecting drawings and sticky notes.

Bec says, INTERESTING. BUT I DON'T HAVE TIME TO ADMIRE THIS PIECE OF MODERN ART, I HAVE A MYSTERY TO SOLVE.

[Whooshing]

Bec looks through her magnifying glass.

Bec says, AND A MEGA MINI MAKE TO CREATE.

[Animated paint splattering, upbeat music plays]

Bec sits at a small table with a large paper cup, paper, a glue stick, scissors, and a deflated balloon.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A CATAPULT VOLCANO. TAKE A PAPER CUP. TAKE A PAIR OF SCISSORS. PUSH THE SCISSORS THROUGH. MAKE SURE YOU'RE CAREFUL, YOU MIGHT WANT AN ADULT TO HELP YOU.

[Popping]

Bec pushes the tip of the scissors through the bottom of the cup.

Bec says, ONCE THEY'RE PUSHED THROUGH...

[Clunking, scissors snipping]

Bec says, YOU CAN JUST SNIP... TO THE SIDES. THEN RIP OUT THE BOTTOM.

[Tearing]

Bec tears the bottom out of the cup. She trims a bit of the round end of the balloon and ties a knot at the other end.

Bec says, I'VE GOT THIS LEFTOVER BALLOON. SO, I'M JUST TAKING A LITTLE BIT OFF THE END AND THEN TYING THE KNOT IN. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE KNOT AS CLOSE TO THE END AS POSSIBLE. I'M GOING TO USE THIS TO HELP MAKE MY CATAPULT. GOT THE HOLE, GIVE IT A STRETCH.

[Bec grunting, boinging]

Bec says, I'M SO STRONG. ONCE THAT'S STRETCHED, FLIP YOUR CUP, AND PUT THE BALLOON OVER THE END.

[Rustling, balloon snapping]

Bec stretches the balloon over the top of the cup, with the knot facing outwards. She turns the cup over and glues yellow paper to the side near the bottom.

Bec says, OOH! WHEN YOU'VE DONE THAT, ADD SOME LAVA. I CUT OUT THESE BIG DRIPS FROM YELLOW PAPER. STICK IT ON WITH A GLUE STICK. ALONG THE EDGE. FINALLY, THIS VOLCANO NEEDS SOME MOLTEN ROCK TO SHOOT OUT THE TOP. I'M USING SOME SCRAP ORANGE PAPER. SCRUNCH IT UP INTO A BALL.

[Paper crumpling]

Bec scrunches the paper into a ball and drops it into the bottom of the volcano cup.

Bec says, POP IT INTO YOUR VOLCANO. AND GET READY. THINK IT'S ABOUT TO BLOW.

[Popping, dramatic music plays]

Bec pulls the knot back and lets go, and the paper ball flies out of the volcano.

Bec says, AND THERE IS YOUR CATAPULT VOLCANO.

[Slide whistle, animated paint splattering, upbeat music plays, marker scratching]

Bec sketches in a notebook.

Bec says, I'M DOING AN ARTIST'S IMPRESSION OF THE DOUGHNUT THIEF. OKAY. ROUND, UH, COVERED IN JAMMY SPLODGES. DUSTED IN SUGAR. AHA!

[Needle scratching record]

Bec reveals a drawing of a doughnut.

Bec says, OH, IT'S JUST A DOUGHNUT. I'M SO HUNGRY.

[Sad trombone music plays, chiming, Bec gasping]

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

[Upbeat music plays]

A girl with long blonde hair stands in front of a picture of a squid.

The blonde-haired girl says, IT'S THE MAKE OF THE DAY! HI BEC, I'M MARTHA FROM NORTHERN IRELAND.

[Conveyor belt whirring]

Ingredients move past Bec on the conveyor belt as Martha lists them.

Martha says, WHAT CAN YOU MAKE OUT OF THESE THREE INGREDIENTS? SOME SPONGES...OLD C.D.’S...AND SOME STICKY NOTES?

Bec says, C.D.’S? I USED TO MAKE PARTY MIXES ON THESE. ACTUALLY, CAN YOU DO ANY PARTY TRICKS?

Martha says, FARTING SO THAT EVERYBODY LEAVES THE ROOM AND I CAN EAT ALL THE FOOD.

Bec says, WELL, I GUESS FOOD IS THE BEST PART ABOUT PARTIES. OH, THAT GIVES ME AN IDEA. ONE MAKE OF THE DAY COMING RIGHT UP!

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A DOUGHNUT NOTEBOOK WITH MARTHA'S INGREDIENTS.

[Fanfare plays, cheering, applause]

A photograph shows two sponges with purple paint and sponge sprinkles.

[Marker scratching, upbeat music plays]

Bec traces a C.D. twice on a large white sponge.

Bec says, STARTING WITH THE SPONGE AND ONE OF THE C.D.’S. TRACE AROUND THE C.D. TWICE. MAKE SURE THEY'RE SCRATCHED ONES WHICH DON'T PLAY ANYMORE. MAKE SURE YOU REMEMBER THE CENTRE. THEN CUT IT OUT.

[Scissors snipping, animated scissors snipping]

Bec folds a piece of the sponge in half and cuts out the round centre of the C.D.

Bec says, TO DO THE MIDDLE, FOLD IT IN HALF PINCH, AND SNIP. THERE YOU GO. THEN WORK THE SCISSORS INSIDE TO CREATE THE HOLE FOR YOUR DOUGHNUT.

Bec spins the doughnut sponge around the scissors, then trims the excess sponge off the outside.

Bec says, GIVE IT A TRIM. WE'RE GOING TO DO THIS FOR BOTH CIRCLES.

[Slide whistle, animated paint splattering]

Bec glues the C.D.s to the doughnut sponges.

Bec says, ALL TRIMMED DOWN. I'VE GOT TWO DOUGHNUT SHAPES NOW WHICH I'M GOING TO STICK TO THE C.D.’S. I'M GOING TO GLUE ON THIS SIDE SO IT STICKS MORE EASILY. USING STRONG GLUE. YOU COULD ALSO USE P.V.A. AND STICK THE SPONGES ON. NOW YOU'VE GOT THESE TWO HALVES. AND THIS IS GOING TO BE THE NOTEBOOK. NEEDS A HINGE THOUGH.

Bec folds the card paper over the sticky notepad.

Bec says, I'VE CUT OUT A STRIP OF CARD FROM MY RECYCLING. I'M GOING TO FOLD IT OVER THE STICKY NOTES TO MAKE SURE IT FITS. STICK THE HINGE INSIDE. I'M USING DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE BUT YOU COULD ALSO USE STRONG GLUE.

Bec attaches the card paper to the C.D.s.

Bec says, THERE WE GO. STICK THEM HERE. AND ONE HERE. OH, TIME TO PAINT! YOU MIGHT WANT TO PUT DOWN SOME NEWSPAPER FOR THIS BIT. I'VE MIXED THIS BROWN PAINT WITH P.V.A. SO IT STICKS TO THE FOAM.

Bec paints the C.D.s brown and then paints the sponges.

Bec says, START ON THE INSIDE. ONCE YOU'VE GOT THE INSIDE PAINTED, START ON THE OUTSIDE. KEEP GOING 'TIL IT'S COMPLETELY COVERED AND THEN LEAVE TO DRY.

[Animated paint splattering]

Later, Bec says, THE DOUGHNUT'S PAINTED AND IT'S DRY! TIME TO DECORATE! JUST PUTTING IT ONTO SOME CLING FILM. YOU'LL FIND OUT WHY LATER. TO MAKE THE ICING I'VE MIXED PAINT WITH P.V.A. SO IT STICKS TO THE SPONGE! I USE PURPLE PAINT 'CAUSE I WANT MY ICING TO BE BLUEBERRY.

[Paint squelching]

Bec squeezes paint onto the top doughnut sponge and sprinkles bits of paper and sponge on top of it.

Bec says, OH, THAT LOOKS REALLY GOOD. BUT I NEED SOME SPRINKLES. I'VE TAKEN SOME OF THE OTHER SPONGES AND I'VE CUT THEM UP TO MAKE MY SPRINKLES, I'VE ALSO ADDED BITS OF COLOURED PAPER. JUST POP A COUPLE AROUND HERE. AND...SOME SMALLER BITS OF PAPER.

[Animated paint splattering, upbeat music plays]

Later, Bec says, IT'S DRY! NOW YOU CAN SEE WHY WE PUT DOWN THAT CLING FILM EARLIER. YOU CAN EASILY PEEL IT OFF AND GET THIS LOVELY DRIPPY ICING EFFECT. THIS NEEDS THE FINAL INGREDIENT…THE STICKY NOTES. I'M PUTTING THESE IN WITH DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE BUT YOU COULD ALSO USE STRONG GLUE.

Bec tapes the sticky notepad to the bottom doughnut sponge.

Bec says, PUT IT IN THE MIDDLE. FOLD IT OVER. AND THERE YOU HAVE YOUR DOUGHNUT NOTEBOOK. LET'S TRY IT OUT!

Bec draws a smiley face, licking their lips.

Bec says, IT'S ME THINKING OF DOUGHNUTS. WHILE I PACKAGE THIS UP FOR MARTHA HERE'S SOME OTHER IDEAS.

[Whooshing]

Video clips show a bagel sponge notepad and a hotdog sponge notepad.

Bec says, HOW ABOUT MAKING A TASTY BAGEL? OR A SCRUMPTIOUS HOT DOG.

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

Bec says, MARTHA WILL GO NUTS FOR THIS DOUGHNUT.

[Beeping]

Bec puts a blue bag into a slot on the wall and pushes a button.

[Animated paint splattering, rustling]

At home, Martha takes the doughnut notepad out of the bag.

Martha says, WOW! THAT'S SO COOL. IT'S A DOUGHNUT! THANKS SO MUCH, BEC!

In Makeaway Takeaway, Bec says, ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER.

[Whooshing, serious music plays]

Bec says, BUT I NEED SOMEONE TO DELIVER AN ANSWER TO MY MYSTERY! WHERE IS MY DOUGHNUT?!

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

Bec sits at a table with a laptop computer.

Bec says, FINALLY, I'VE HAD A BREAKTHROUGH. I'VE GOT THE SECURITY FOOTAGE FROM LAST NIGHT. TIME TO UNMASK THE THIEF.

[Knuckles cracking, beeping, exciting music plays]

Bec says, OKAY, THAT'S WHERE I LEFT THE DOUGHNUT ON THE COUNTER LAST NIGHT.

Bec walks into Makeaway Takeaway with her teddy bear under her arm.

Bec says, HANG ON. THAT'S ME!

[Bec gasping]

Bec says, I'M SLEEPWALKING.

Bec eats the doughnut.

Bec says, AND SLEEP EATING! I'M THE THIEF?

[Needle scratching record]

Bec says, I FEEL LIKE A RIGHT DOUGHNUT!

[Banana telephone ringing]

Bec says, SWEET! THE BANANA PHONE!

[Whooshing, beeping]

Bec says, HELLO, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY, HOW CAN I HELP?

In a split screen, a brown-eyed student wearing a Khimar holds a telephone. She stands in front of a skeleton wearing a laboratory coat.

HI BEC, THIS IS SABRINA. AND I WAS WONDERING IF YOU COULD DELIVER AN ARTY SURPRISE TO OUR SCIENCE TEACHER.

Bec says, AWESOME, I LOVE A CHALLENGE. SEE YOU SOON!

[Beeping]

Bec ends the call.

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Upbeat music plays]

A singer sings, COME ON, WE GO.

In a classroom, students work in pairs at desks. A teacher with a shaved head, a beard, and a moustache wears a blue suit, a white shirt, and a blue necktie. He walks around the classroom.

The teacher says, LOOK AT EYE LEVEL…REACTS, A BIT MORE ENERGY.

A student pours white liquid into a graduated cylinder.

The teacher says, WE'RE GOING TO USE THE PENDULUM TO MAKE SOME ART.

The teacher pours paint into a cup dangling from a string above a desk. Bec watches through a doorway.

The singer sings, HA, HA, HA, HA. CHECK IT OUT NOW.

When the teacher lets go of the cup, and the paint drips through a hole in the bottom, creating an oval on a piece of paper.

The teacher asks, WHOA! WHAT'S CAUSING THE CUP TO MOVE?

The students say, GRAVITY.

The teacher asks, WHAT'S GOING TO EVENTUALLY HAPPEN TO THE CUP OVER TIME?

The students say, SLOW DOWN AND STOP.

[Students answering, clattering, background vehicle engines humming]

Bec gestures, and three students leave the classroom. They meet Bec in the schoolyard.

The brown-eyed student says, HI BEC! YOU MADE IT! BRILLIANT!

The students say, HI SABRINA, NICE TO MEET YOU. AND WHO ARE YOU FRIENDS?

A boy with short brown hair says, I'M SIOBHAN.

A tall girl with curly hair says, AND I'M ANAIA.

The students say, HI! AND WHO AM I SURPRISING TODAY?

Sabrina says, MR. UDEN, HE'S OUR SCIENCE TEACHER AND HE'S REALLY NICE.

In the classroom, the teacher, Mr. Uden, crouches beside a desk.

Bec says, AW, THAT'S NICE. WHAT'S SO GOOD ABOUT MR. UDEN?

Siobhan replies, WELL, HE DOESN'T JUST MAKE THINGS EDUCATIONAL, HE ALSO MAKES IT FUN.

Bec asks, WHAT WAS THAT SCIENCE EXPERIMENT YOU WERE DOING EARLIER?

Anaia replies, IT WAS THE PENDULUM SCIENCE PROJECT.

Bec says, OH, WHAT'S THAT?

Anaia says, IT'S ARTS AND SCIENCE MIXED TOGETHER.

Bec says, I LIKE THE SOUND OF THAT. THAT GIVES ME AN IDEA. SABRINA, YOU TAKE THIS WALKIE-TALKIE.

Sabrina says, THANK YOU.

Bec says, I WILL SEE YOU GUYS LATER. LET'S MAKE SOME ART!

[Upbeat music plays, slide whistles, whirring, tires screeching, clicking, whooshing]

The students run back into the school. In the schoolyard, Bec puts on a hard hat. A white-haired man parks a reach forklift in front of her and extends the legs. Bec throws a rope over the forklift and clips a bucket to the end.

[Animated paint splattering]

Speaking into the walkie-talkie, Bec says, SABRINA, DO YOU COPY? WE'RE READY. CAN YOU GET MR. UDEN? IT'S TIME FOR THE BIG REVEAL! REPEAT, IT'S FOR THE BIG REVEAL!

In the classroom, speaking into the walkie-talkie, Sabrina says, OKAY, WE'RE ON OUR WAY.

In the schoolyard, speaking into the walkie-talkie, Bec says, LET'S DO AN ARTY EXPERIMENT THAT HE'LL NEVER FORGET. OVER!

In the classroom, Sabrina says, MR. UDEN.

[Upbeat music plays]

In the schoolyard, Bec holds the bucket over a giant black tarp. Sabrina, Anaia, and Siobhan lead Mr. Uden to Bec.

Bec asks, ARE YOU READY?

Sabrina says, YES. OKAY, MR. UDEN, YOU CAN TAKE A LOOK.

Mr. Uden says, WOW, HOW'D YOU GET THAT IN HERE?

Sabrina says, WELL, WE JUST WANTED TO SURPRISE YOU SINCE YOU'RE A GREAT SCIENCE TEACHER.

Siobhan says, TAKE IT AWAY, BEC.

Bec says, WELL, WE'LL NEED SOME PAINT FIRST. SABRINA, WHAT COLOUR SHOULD WE CHOOSE?

Sabrina says, I CHOOSE GREEN.

Bec says, LOVELY. FILL ‘ER UP.

[Paint splashing]

Sabrina pours green paint into the bucket.

Bec says, LET'S DO SOME SCIENCE.

Bec pushes the bucket, and paint flows from the bottom onto the tarp.

Bec says, IT'S LOOKING GOOD!

Sabrina says, WOW, THAT LOOKS AMAZING. IMAGINE WITH OTHER COLOURS, IT'LL LOOK SPECTACULAR.

Anaia says, OH, THAT'S VERY SATISFYING.

Siobhan says, OH, YEAH.

Bec says, WELL, THIS LOOKS GREAT BUT I THINK WE NEED ANOTHER COLOUR. RIGHT, SIOBHAN, WHAT COLOUR SHALL WE GO WITH?

Siobhan says, I'M CHOOSING YELLOW.

[Paint splashing]

Siobhan pours yellow paint into the bucket.

Bec says, OH, LOVELY. POUR IT IN. PLENTY, THANK YOU. THIS WAY.

Bec pushes the paint in a different direction.

Mr. Uden says, OH, WOW. THIS ARTWORK IS BEAUTIFUL.

Bec says, OKAY, ANAIA. LET'S GO WITH ANOTHER COLOUR.

Anaia says, I'M CHOOSING RED.

[Splashing]

Anaia pours paint into the bucket.

Bec says, FANTASTIC. WHICH WAY DO YOU THINK WE SHOULD DO IT THIS TIME?

Sabrina says, MAYBE DO IT THROUGH THE MIDDLE.

Bec says, VERY SCIENTIFIC. OKAY.

Bec pushes the bucket straight, which makes a narrow oval across the centre of the tarp.

Mr. Uden says, WOW!

[Whooshing]

Bec says, WHOA! LOOK AT THAT, IT LOOKS LIKE AN EYE.

Anaia says, THE COLOUR SCHEME'S VERY NICE.

Mr. Uden says, I THINK THEY ALL COMPLEMENT EACH OTHER REALLY NICELY.

Bec asks, SO, WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Mr. Uden says, SABRINA, SIOBHAN, ANAIA, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF ARTWORK.

Sabrina says, WE'RE SO HAPPY THAT YOU HAD A GREAT TIME, MR. UDEN.

The class gathers beside the artwork and points.

The students say, WOW!

[Students chattering]

Bec says, THAT'S ANOTHER BRILLIANT DAY OF DELIVERING ART TO YOUR DOOR! SEE YA NEXT TIME ON...

Everyone says, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!
