[Doorbell ringing, energetic music plays, whistling, doorbell ringing]

In an animation, a takeout restaurant has a countertop with jars of paint and a box of paintbrushes. Jars and cups with art supplies fill two coolers by a drink machine. A menu features pictures of food, brushes, paint, scissors, and condiment bottles. Live-action video clips show Bec Hill, in her mid-thirties, holding her staff card. She has curly pink hair. She speaks on a banana-shaped telephone and sifts flour. In the animation, straws, paint bottles, sunglasses, and drinks move on a conveyor belt. In a live-action video clip, children paint.

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Upbeat music plays]

In live action, Bec skips across Makeaway Takeaway to the counter. She wears a yellow shirt, blue shorts, and a blue apron with suspenders. She picks up a flyer with a picture of a fly with a line and a circle over it.

Bec says, OH! HI BEANS! I'M BEC! AND THIS IS MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY! WHAT'S THIS? OH, AN AD FOR BUG CONTROL. I DON'T NEED THAT.

Bec looks at a plastic spider on the counter.

Bec says, A SPIDER? MAYBE I DO NEED THAT AFTER ALL. WHILE I TAKE CARE OF THIS FELLA, HERE'S TODAY'S MENU.

[Whooshing]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

Video clips show Bec pointing a flashlight at a toy in front of a picture and then tracing the shadow. A brown-haired boy and brown-haired girl stand back-to-back, and a black-haired teenager, a short-haired boy, and a girl with pigtails stand facing Bec.

Bec narrates, COMING UP ON TODAY'S SHOW. A TECHNIQUE THAT WON'T LEAVE YOU IN THE DARK. I GET A CALL FROM SOME CUSTOMERS WHOSE HAMSTER NEEDS A HOLIDAY. AND WE DELIVER A HAIRY SURPRISE FOR SOMEONE SPECIAL AT A MARVELLOUS MUSEUM.

[Whooshing]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Tapping]

In Makeaway Takeaway, Bec puts a cup over the spider and lifts them on a piece of paper.

Bec says, GOTCHA! I KNEW THIS NOTE WOULD COME IN HANDY. I'M JUST GOING TO MOVE YOU SAFELY OUTSIDE.

[Spider squeaking]

Bec says, WHAT'S THAT?

[Spider squeaking]

Bec says, YOU'VE LOST YOUR MUM?

[Spider squeaking]

Bec says, OH.

[Gulping, whimpering, tense music plays]

Bec notices a giant spider shadow on the wall.

Bec says, WE'RE GONNA NEED A BIGGER NOTE.

Bec notices the second spider dangling in front of a light.

Bec says, OH, YEAH. YEAH, VERY CLEVER. IT'S A SHADOW. AH, BUT YOUR MUM HAS GIVEN ME AN IDEA FOR-- A TAKEAWAY TECHNIQUE!

[Spider squeaking, whooshing, animated scissors snipping, upbeat music plays]

Bec sits at a table with paper, paint, tape, markers, a paintbrush, and a tray tipped on the side.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU HOW TO MAKE A PICTURE USING A TOY AND A TORCH. TO MAKE MY BACKGROUND, I'M USING TORN-UP PIECES OF COLOURED PAPER TO CREATE A SUNSET. I'M TAKING AN ORANGE PIECE OF PAPER. I'M GOING TO TEAR IT.

[Paper ripping]

Bec tears the paper in half lengthwise. She tears yellow and red paper in half and glues the different colours onto a yellow piece.

Bec says, I'M USING THE TORN PAPER TO CREATE A SUNSET SKY, BUT YOU COULD ALSO USE IT TO CREATE HILLS OR MOUNTAINS. I'M USING BLACK FOR MY FOREGROUND BECAUSE THE SUN IS DISAPPEARING BEHIND IT AND CREATING SHADOWS. JUST LINING THEM UP FROM THE BOTTOM SO I KNOW ROUGHLY WHERE I WANT TO TEAR.

[Paper ripping]

Bec tears the black paper.

Bec says, FEELS A BIT NAUGHTY TEARING PAPER, BUT IN THIS INSTANCE, IT'S ART! AND BEFORE I STICK DOWN THE LAST PIECE OF PAPER, WE'RE GOING TO ADD A SUN THAT I CUT OUT EARLIER. I'M JUST GOING TO TUCK THIS IN THE TOP.

Bec puts the strip of black paper on the bottom and tucks her round yellow sun partially beneath it. She then adds black cacti to the edge of the black paper.

Bec says, I'M ALSO ADDING SOME CACTI THAT I MADE WITH SOME TORN OUT PIECES OF BLACK PAPER. SO, JUST USING A GLUE STICK, I'LL STICK THESE IN. WHAT'S NICE ABOUT THIS IS WHERE YOU CAN SEE THE RIP IN THE PAPER, I'VE PLACED IT SO IT'S FACING TOWARDS THE SUN AND IT'S HIGHLIGHTING WHERE THE SUN WOULD HIT MY CACTUS. MY BACKGROUND'S DONE AND WITH THE HELP OF MY TOY, I'M GOING TO MAKE A SILHOUETTE OF A SCARY DINOSAUR!

Bec leans the picture against the tray and puts a dinosaur toy on a bowl. She points a torch, also called a flashlight, at the dinosaur, and the shadow of the toy falls on the picture.

Bec says, I'M USING A TORCH TO DO THIS, BUT YOU COULD ALSO USE YOUR DESK LAMP OR THE TORCH ON YOUR PHONE. THEN TAKE A PENCIL OR A FELT TIP, TRACE AROUND THE SHADOW. GONNA START WITH THE TEETH BECAUSE THAT'S THE BEST PART.

[Marker squeaking]

Bec traces the shadow.

Bec says, AND I'M JUST GONNA CHEAT THE TAIL SO IT GOES ABOVE THE SUN SO THAT YOU CAN STILL SEE IT. NOT SO SCARY NOW. BUT WAIT UNTIL WE PAINT IT IN. USING BLACK PAINT, WE'RE GONNA COLOUR IT IN TO CREATE ITS SILHOUETTE.

[Rustling, upbeat music continues]

Bec puts the paper on the table and paints the shadow black.

Bec says, JUST USING THE TIP OF MY BRUSH TO GET THOSE LOVELY SHARP TEETH. BECAUSE THIS IS A SHADOW, YOU DON'T NEED TOO MUCH DETAIL. A BIT OF LENGTH TO MY TAIL. OH! WOULDN'T WANT TO SEE THAT COMING OVER THE HILL WHEN I'M WATCHING THE SUN GO DOWN. AND THERE IS YOUR PICTURE USING A TOY AND A TORCH.

[Animated paint splatters, happy music plays]

In Makeaway Takeaway, Bec says, OUT YOU GO! BYE, SPIDERS! THAT'S THOSE TWO TAKEN CARE OF. NOW, I CAN HAVE MY SNACK.

[Happy sighing, rustling]

Bec peels a banana.

Bec says, MMM, MMM, MMM. YUM, YUM, YUM.

[Ringing]

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

Bec quickly eats half of the banana.

Bec says, HMM.

[Ringing, whirring]

A slip of paper prints beneath a screen on the wall.

On the screen, the brown-haired girl says, HELLO, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY! BEC, I NEED YOUR HELP! OUR HAMSTER, TATO, LOOKS GRUMPY AND WE THINK SHE NEEDS A HOLIDAY. CAN YOU DELIVER HER A MATE TO HELP CHEER HER UP?

Bec says, I CERTAINLY CAN. I KNOW JUST THE THING! ONE ARTY DELIVERY COMING RIGHT UP.

[Rustling, energetic music plays, whistling, footsteps pattering, whooshing, chiming]

Bec grabs the piece of paper and runs. She jumps into a comic panel, ties her shoelaces, and straightens her socks. Then, she snaps her suspenders, puts on a hat, and fastens a belt with dangling markers around her waist. Bec winks and gives a thumbs-up.

Bec says, LET'S DO THIS!

In her living room, the brown-haired girl stands back-to-back with the brown-haired boy.

The brown-haired girl narrates, HELLO, MY NAME IS GRACIE AND THIS IS MY BROTHER, JAMES. I LIKE TO PLAY THE UKULELE AND LOVE MUSICALS. MY FAVOURITE IS WICKED.

[Whooshing]

The brown-haired girl, Gracie, plays a green ukulele and wears a pointy witch hat. The brown-haired boy, James, wears a laboratory coat and gazes at a beaker full of red liquid.

James says, AND I LOVE INVENTIONS!

In a cage, Tato climbs out of a bowl and eats food.

Gracie says, WE HAVE A HAMSTER CALLED TATO. SHE LIKES TO EAT BROCCOLI, APPLE SLICES, AND LOVES LISTENING TO LITTLE MIX AND BRUNO MARS. LATELY THOUGH, SHE LOOKS A BIT FED UP. WE THINK SHE DESERVES A LITTLE HOLIDAY.

[Sad music plays]

Black-and-white video footage shows Tato in her cage.

James asks, BEC, COULD YOU HELP?

[Doorbell ringing]

Gracie says, THAT MUST BE HER NOW!

[Whooshing, animated scissors snipping]

In an art studio, Bec walks to Gracie and James.

Bec says, HI, GRACIE! HI, JAMES!

The children say, HI, BEC!

Bec says, NOW, I'VE HEARD YOU'VE GOT A FURRY LITTLE FRIEND WHO NEEDS SOME CHEERING UP.

The children say, YEAH.

Bec says, BUT I'VE GOT A CRAFTY SOLUTION FOR YOU.

The children say, YES!

Bec says, YEAH, WE'RE GONNA MAKE A HAMSTER HOLIDAY MAZE.

[Fanfare plays, cheering, applause]

Castle turrets rise above a high-sided cardboard base. Blue cardboard waves and a maze filled with shredded paper.

The children say, YES!

[Animated paint splatters, upbeat music plays]

Bec holds a long piece of cardboard with three straight lines drawn lengthwise.

Bec says, FIRST, YOU'RE GONNA NEED THREE PIECES OF CARDBOARD THIS SIZE. ONE TO MAKE THE BASE AND THE OTHER TWO TO MAKE YOUR WALLS. AS YOU CAN SEE, I'VE ALREADY STARTED DRAWING MY WALLS ONTO THIS SIDE AND NEXT, I'M GONNA DRAW SOME WAVEY LINES. THIS WILL FORM THE WALLS FOR MY MAZE.

[Marker scraping]

Bec draws wavy lines in one section on the cardboard.

Bec says, NOW, LET'S CUT THESE OUT. OH! AND CUT!

[Rustling, scissors snipping]

Bec cuts that section off the piece of cardboard.

The children say, YAY!

Bec says, HERE'S A TOP TIP. BECAUSE THIS MAKE IS FOR AN ANIMAL, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE SOME ANIMAL-FRIENDLY GLUE. TO MAKE THIS, WE'RE GOING TO NEED THREE PARTS OF FLOUR TO TWO PARTS OF WATER. THEN WE'RE GOING TO MIX IT TOGETHER TO GET A NICE GLOOPY CONSISTENCY.

[Rustling, splashing]

Bec pours the flour and water into a bowl.

Bec says, NOW, HERE'S THE FUN PART.

[Children giggling]

Bec stirs the glue.

Bec says, GLUEY, GLUEY, GLUE! GLUEY, GLUEY, GLUE! AH! WHAT A MESS!

James says, IT LOOKS LIKE PORRIDGE.

Bec says, IT DOES LOOK LIKE SOME PORRIDGE! NOW, IT'S TIME TO STICK THE WALLS TO OUR CARDBOARD TO FORM OUR BASE AND THE MAZE INSIDE.

Bec glues strips of cardboard onto a larger bottom piece. Inside the base, she glues the wavy pieces of cardboard and forms a maze.

Bec says, MAKE SURE YOU CUT OUT LOTS OF WAVEY PIECES AND STICK THEM DOWN TO MAKE THE MAZE.

The children say, YES!

[Upbeat music continues]

Bec has an empty teabag box and three paper towel rolls on a table. On one end of each roll, dotted rectangles are drawn.

Bec says, AND HERE IT IS ALL DRY! AS YOU CAN SEE, I'VE MADE MY MAZE WAVE-SHAPED. IT IS A HOLIDAY AFTER ALL. NOW, WE NEED TO MAKE THE CASTLE. WE'RE GOING TO USE AN EMPTY TEABAG BOX AND THREE CARDBOARD TUBES. YOU GUYS HAVE AN EXTRA CARDBOARD TUBE OVER THERE. CAN YOU CUT THAT IN HALF SO YOU CAN MAKE SOME FUN TUNNELS FOR THE MAZE?

[Scissors snipping]

Everyone cuts cardboard tubes. Bec cuts along the dotted lines on the end of the turret tubes.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO TURN THESE INTO TURRETS. ON MY CARDBOARD TUBES, I'VE PUT SOME OUTLINES SO I KNOW WHERE TO CUT.

[Whooshing]

James peers through a tube.

Bec says, NOW, WE'VE STUCK OUR CASTLE TOGETHER WITH OUR ANIMAL-FRIENDLY GLUE. CAN YOU SEE WHERE WE'VE PUT OUR TURRETS?

Bec points at an opening in the teabag box.

Bec says, I'VE ALSO CUT A LITTLE DOOR IN THERE FOR TATO. REMEMBER THE FUN TUNNELS FROM EARLIER THAT GRACIE AND JAMES WERE CUTTING OUT FOR ME? WELL, HERE THEY ARE NOW!

Gracie and James hold tubes cut into spirals.

Bec says, THESE ARE GOING TO BE SOME FUN RUNS FOR TATO SO SHE'LL HAVE PLENTY OF THINGS TO DO IN HER MAZE. NOW, ALL WE NEED TO DO IS PAINT OUR CASTLE WITH SOME ANIMAL-FRIENDLY PAINT. YOU'LL NEED TWO COLOURS. YELLOW FOR YOUR CASTLE AND BLUE FOR YOUR MAZE. TO MAKE OUR ANIMAL-FRIENDLY PAINT, WE'RE GONNA USE TWO PARTS OF FLOUR AND ONE PART OF WATER. AND WE'RE GONNA ADD A HEALTHY DOSE OF FOOD COLOURING.

[Upbeat music continues]

Bec puts flour, water, and blue food colouring in a bowl and mixes the paint.

Bec says, GRACIE AND JAMES, YOU CAN MIX THE YELLOW UP FOR THE CASTLE.

Gracie puts flour in a bowl, and James adds water. Gracie squeezes yellow food colouring into the bowl, and James mixes the paint.

Bec says, AND NOW, WE CAN PAINT.

Bec paints the inside of the base and the waves. The children paint the castle.

Bec says, TO MAKE THIS NICE AND BRIGHT, YOU MAY NEED TO PAINT A FEW LAYERS.

[Animated paint splattering]

Bec says, NOW, WE'VE FINISHED PAINTING AND IT'S FINALLY DRY. I'M GOING TO DECORATE THE OUTSIDE OF THE MAZE WITH THIS BLUE CARD.

Bec attaches blue paper to the outside of the base.

Bec says, I THINK TATO'S GOING TO LIKE HIS TRIP TO THE SEASIDE. I'VE ADDED THE CASTLE, AND I'VE ADDED SOME BOATS I'VE MADE OUT OF COLOURED PAPER AROUND THE EDGES. IT'S REALLY STARTING TO LOOK LIKE THE SEA NOW. ALL THAT'S LEFT IS TO ADD OUR SHREDDED PAPER, MAKE SURE IT'S ANIMAL-FRIENDLY.

[Rustling]

Gracie and James put shredded paper in the maze.

Gracie says, OH, THAT'S GOOD, JAMES.

Bec says, AND OUR FUN TUNNELS!

James puts a fun tunnel by the castle.

Bec says, AND LAST, BUT NOT LEAST, EVERY CASTLE NEEDS SOME FLAGS! I'VE MADE THESE OUT OF TOOTHPICKS AND RED CARD.

Bec puts the flags on top of the two turrets.

Bec says, AND HERE'S YOUR HAMSTER HOLIDAY MAZE!

Bec tilts the maze.

James says, THANKS, BEC!

[Animated paint splattering, tropical music plays, gulls calling, squeaking]

Later, Tato explores her maze.

Gracie says, THANKS, BEC! IT'S BRILLIANT!

James says, TATO LOVES IT! SHE'S EVEN SENT YOU A POSTCARD.

[Whooshing, animated scissors snipping]

In Makeaway Takeaway, Bec looks at a postcard with a picture of a sandcastle on a beach.

Bec says, AH! "HI, BEC. HAVING AN AMAZING TIME ON HOLIDAY. MY FUN RUN AND CASTLE ARE AWESOME. LOTS OF SQUEAKS, TATO." AW, THAT'S NICE. ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER.

[Bell ringing]

Bec puts the postcard in the tray and looks at the banana peel on the counter.

Bec says, UH. BETTER CLEAN THAT UP. I DON'T NEED ANY MORE CREEPY CRAWLIES AROUND HERE. BUT HOW CUTE WAS LITTLE TATO? HE'S INSPIRED ME TO MAKE SOME PAPER PUPPETRY!

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Upbeat music plays]

In a drawing, a hamster runs on a hamster wheel. Nearby are a water dispenser and a food bowl labelled “Pudding.” Bec pulls on a string emerging from beneath the top of the paper.

Bec says, NOW, LET'S SEE HOW IT'S DONE.

[Clicking]

Bec pulls the string. On the back of the drawing, a wheel with string is attached to cardboard. It turns as Bec pulls the string.

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Fly buzzing, whooshing, Bec grunting]

Bec stands by her banana peel and waves her hands at flies.

Bec says, EH! UH! OH! MY BANANA PEELS SEEMS TO HAVE ATTRACTED FLIES. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GET RID OF THEM? PUT THIS IN MY FOOD WASTE BIN.

[Clunking, slide whistle]

Bec puts a food waste bin on the counter, opens it, and drops the banana peel inside.

Bec says, HOPEFULLY, THEY'LL LEAVE NOW. BUT THESE BUGS HAVE GIVEN ME AN IDEA FOR A MEGA MINI MAKE.

[Squeaking, animated paint splattering, upbeat music plays]

Bec sits at a small table.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A BUG BADGE. I'VE GOT A PIECE OF CARDBOARD THAT I CUT OUT FROM A RECYCLED BOX AND I'M STICKING SOME TINFOIL TO MY CARD TO MAKE MY BUG NICE AND SHINY.

[Tinfoil crinkling]

Bec glues the tinfoil to the cardboard.

Bec says, SHINY SIDE SHOWING. YEAH.

Bec says, GLUE STUCK DOWN. NOW, I'M TURNING IT OVER AND DRAWING MY DESIGN ON THE BACK.

Bec draws on the back of the cardboard.

Bec says, DRAWN AN ALMOND SHAPE FOR THE BODY. A LITTLE HEAD. AND SOME BIG, SPIKY LEGS. MOST INSECTS HAVE SIX LEGS, BUT I'M JUST GONNA DO FOUR. NOW, I'VE JUST GOTTA CUT IT OUT.

[Scissors snipping, cardboard crunching]

Bec cuts out the bug.]

Bec says, MAKE SURE YOU WATCH YOUR FINGERS.

[Marker scraping]

Bec draws on the tinfoil with her marker.

Bec says, AND THERE IS THE BASE OF MY BUG BADGE. I THINK MY BUG NEEDS SOME DECORATIONS THOUGH. I'M GONNA GO AROUND WITH MY BLACK FELT TIP AN OUTLINE FOR ITS BODY. THESE MAKE REALLY GOOD GIFTS OR YOU CAN PUT THEM ON YOUR SCHOOL BAG OR IN YOUR ROOM. I'M GOING TO DECORATE MY BUG WITH SOME GLITTER.

[Upbeat music continues]

Bec puts the bug badge on a disposable plate and applies P.V.A. with a paintbrush.

Bec says, MY PLATE OVER HERE. I'M USING P.V.A. FOR MY GLITTER AND I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT I LEAVE A GAP WHERE THOSE OUTLINES ARE SO THAT WE CAN STILL SEE THEM. NOW, THIS IS THE FUN PART. I'M JUST GOING TO DO THE LITTLE BIT OF SILVER FOR THE HEAD FIRST.

Bec pours silver glitter over the head and green glitter over the body. She shakes off the excess glitter.

Bec says, THE REASON I'M DOING THIS OVER A PLATE IS SO THAT I CAN SWEEP UP ALL OF THE GLITTER THAT I DON'T USE AND USE IT IN ANOTHER MAKE LATER. HERE'S OUR GLITTERY BUG BADGE, NEARLY DONE! I FOUND THIS LEFTOVER SWEET WRAPPER, WHICH I THINK WILL MAKE THE PERFECT WINGS. JUST CUTTING IT DIAGONALLY. ROLLING UP THE END. ADD A LITTLE BIT OF GLUE TO WHERE I FOLDED IT. AND STICK IT DOWN.

[Crinkling wrapper]

Bec cuts halfway across a sweet wrapper and glues it to the back of the bug. She unfolds a pink paper clip.

Bec says, JUST NEEDS AN ANTENNA. GOT THIS PAPER CLIP. IF I UNFOLD IT, YOU CAN SEE IT ALREADY LOOKS LIKE AN ANTENNA. BRING MY BUG BACK. NOW, UPSIDE DOWN, I'M USING THIS PIECE OF TACK, I'M JUST PUSHING MY PAPER CLIP DOWN TO MAKE THE ANTENNAS.

Bec puts the tack beneath the head and pushes the paper clip into it.

Bec says, FINALLY, TO ADD A SAFETY PIN. CAREFUL, THERE IS A POINTY END. YOU MAY NEED TO GET AN ADULT TO HELP. JUST GOT A STRIP OF MASKING TAPE AND JUST TAPING THAT DOWN.

Bec tapes one side of the pin to the back of the bug badge.

Bec says, AND THERE IS YOUR BUG BADGE. I'LL POP IT ON.

Bec pins the bug badge to her suspenders.

Bec says, AND YOU CAN MAKE ANY BUG YOU LIKE. HERE'S SOME OTHER IDEAS.

Video footage shows a ladybug badge with a red sponge attached to the bug body, an ant with three segments to the body, and a butterfly with sweet wrapper wings.

Bec narrates, HOW ABOUT A SPONGY LADYBUG, AN ANT, OR EVEN A BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLY?

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Flies buzzing, whooshing]

Bec stands at the counter, swinging her hands at the flies.

Bec says, OH, NO! THE FLIES ARE BACK. I CAN'T RUN MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY LIKE THIS! WHERE'S THAT NOTE FROM EARLIER.

Bec says, HA!

[Rustling, dialling, beeping, tapping, buzzing]

Bec says, HELLO, BUG CONTROL?

[Phone gibberish]

Bec says, YEAH, HOW QUICK CAN YOU GET HERE?

[Phone gibberish]

Bec says, I'LL SEE YOU SOON!

[Ringing, upbeat music plays]

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

A boy with short dark brown hair appears on the screen on the wall.

The brown-haired boy, Cortez, says, IT'S THE MAKE OF THE DAY! HI, BEC. I'M CORTEZ, AND I'M FROM WOLVERHAMPTON.

Bec says, HI, CORTEZ! THANKS FOR CALLING MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

[Conveyor whirring]

The ingredients move past Bec on a conveyor belt as Cortez lists them.

Cortez asks, BEC, WHAT CAN YOU MAKE OF THESE THREE INGREDIENTS? PLASTIC PLATES, CARDBOARD TUBES, AND AN OLD TOY CAR.

Bec says, OH, AN OLD TOY CAR? OKAY, CORTEZ. IF YOU COULD BE ANY FORM OF TRANSPORT, WHAT WOULD YOU BE?

Cortez says, I'D BE A STUNT BIKE SO I COULD DO ALL KINDS OF TRICKS.

Bec says, AH! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME! OKAY, UH, LET'S SEE. CAR, CITY. I'VE GOT IT. ONE MAKE OF THE DAY COMING RIGHT UP!

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A CITYSCAPE PEN POT WITH CORTEZ'S INGREDIENTS.

[Animated paint splattering, fanfare plays, applause, cheering]

Tubes painted to resemble buildings hold scissors, crayons, paintbrushes, markers, and a ruler. The tubes rest on a plate base with two cars parked on the edge.

[Upbeat music plays]

At a table in Makeaway Takeaway, Bec has four tubes lined up beside a plastic plate. She paints two of the tubes grey.

Bec says, I'LL START BY PAINTING THE SMALLEST TUBE A LIGHT GREY. THESE ARE GOING TO BE THE BUILDINGS IN MY CITYSCAPE. AND NOW, I'LL DO THIS ONE IN A DARKER GREY.

Bec paints a black line around the edge of a purple plate.

Bec says, I'LL ADD A ROAD TO MY PLATE WITH SOME BLACK PAINT. THAT'S DONE. LET'S PAINT THE REST OF THE TUBES.

[Animated paint splattering]

The tubes are grey and dark grey.

Bec says, EVERYTHING'S DRY! NOW, TO ADD SOME WINDOWS TO MY YOGURT POT BUILDING. I'M DOING DIFFERENT SHAPES. YOU KNOW WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE CITY AND YOU SEE DIFFERENT LIGHTS ARE ON AND OFF. PUT THIS ASIDE TO DRY.

Bec paints yellow and blue lights on the side of the grey pot. She puts stickers on a dark grey tube.

Bec says, ADD SOME SQUARE STICKERS TO MY SKYSCRAPER. IN THE CITY, YOU FIND ALL SORTS OF LIGHTS. WINDOW LIGHTS, NEON LIGHTS.

[Animated paint splattering, mellow music plays]

Bec says, MY BUILDINGS ALL HAVE WINDOWS, AND THIS ONE, I'VE USED A MIX OF PAINT AND STICKERS. I'VE JUST GOT TO ADD SOME DETAILS. FIRST, I'M USING A WHITE PEN TO ADD THE LINES GOING DOWN THE CENTRE OF MY ROAD.

[Marker squeaking, thumping, upbeat music plays]

Bec draws white lines on the black road around the plate. She outlines the windows on the tubes.

Bec says, AND BLACK FELT TIP TO OUTLINE ALL MY WINDOWS. AND THAT'S MY LAST BUILDING FINISHED. YOU CAN SEE ALL THE DETAILS THAT I'VE ADDED WITH MY FELT TIPS AND YOU CAN USE ANY SHAPES YOU'D LIKE TO ADD DETAILS TO YOUR BUILDINGS. MAKE THIS CITY YOUR OWN.

Bec picks up the plate with the road and puts it on an upside-down plate.

Bec says, FOR THE BASE, I'M TAKING BOTH PLATES. I'M GETTING SOME MODELLING CLAY, BUT YOU COULD USE TACK AS WELL. AND USING MY SCISSORS, I'M GOING TO PIERCE THROUGH THE MIDDLE. NOW, BE CAREFUL, YOU MIGHT NEED AN ADULT TO HELP YOU WITH THIS BIT.

[Popping, pin rattling, mellow music plays]

Bec pushes the tip of the scissors through the middle of both plates. She pushes a split pin through the hole and splays the ends.

Bec says, OH! THERE WE GO. TAKE A SPLIT PIN, PUT IT THROUGH THE CENTRE. SPLAY THE ENDS ON THE OTHER SIDE. OPEN IT UP. AND LOOK, IT TURNS AROUND!

[Scraping]

Bec flips the plates back over and spins the plate with the road.

Bec says, GOING TO STICK MY CITY TO THIS USING STRONG GLUE AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE STRONG GLUE, YOU COULD ALSO USE P.V.A.

She glues the tubes to the plate.

Bec says, I'M BUILDING MY CITY. GOT SOME NICE DIFFERENT SHAPES HAPPENING HERE. A LOVELY SKYLINE. THAT THERE. AND THAT LEAVES ME JUST ENOUGH SPACE FOR THIS LITTLE ONE. PUT THAT IN THERE! ON TO OUR FINAL INGREDIENT, CORTEZ'S OLD TOY CAR. I'M STICKING IT ONTO THE ROAD USING DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE, BUT YOU COULD ALSO USE STRONG GLUE.

[Rustling, clattering, glue]

Bec tapes toy cars to the road. She puts art supplies in the tubes.

Bec says, IN FACT, I THINK I'LL ADD A COUPLE OF MY OWN OLD TOY CARS. OKAY, LET'S TAKE IT FOR A SPIN! MY SCISSORS IN THERE. SOME CRAYONS IN THERE. THIS WILL BE GOOD FOR MY PAINTBRUSHES. AND THIS IS THE PERFECT SHAPE FOR MY RULER.

Bec spins the plate.

Bec says, BRA-EWW! WHILE I PACKAGE THIS UP FOR CORTEZ, HERE'S SOME OTHER IDEAS.

[Whooshing, animated scissors snipping, upbeat music plays]

The bottom plate of a fairy castle pen pot features shiny rocks and glass jewels. On another pen pot, cartons are painted like houses. A pen pot painted like an erupting volcano has toy dinosaurs around the base.

Bec says, YOU COULD MAKE A FANTASY CASTLE FROM OLD PLASTIC BOTTLES AND FOIL CUPS. HOUSES AND FLATS FROM RECYCLED JUICE CARTONS, OR IF YOU ONLY HAVE THE ONE BOTTLE, YOU COULD TURN IT INTO A VOLCANO AND DECORATE IT WITH OLD DINOSAUR TOYS.

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Upbeat music plays, beeping]

Bec puts a blue bag in a slot on the wall and pushes a button.

Bec says, THIS MAKE IS READY TO HIT THE ROAD! HERE YOU GO, CORTEZ!

At home, Cortez takes the pen pot out of the bag.

Cortez says, WOW! THANKS, BEC!

In Makeaway Takeaway, Bec says, ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER.

[Doorbell ringing, bright music plays]

Bec says, OH, THAT MUST BE BUG CONTROL.

[Flies buzzing]

Bec says, HUH? THERE'S NO ONE THERE.

Bec says, WAIT. YOU TWO AGAIN?

[Spider squeaking]

The two spiders sit on a table beside the flyer.

Bec says, YOU'RE BUG CONTROL?

[Spider squeaking]

Bec says, SO, THIS IS YOUR NOTE?

[Spider squeaking]

Bec says, ALL RIGHT, I'LL LEAVE YOU TO IT THEN.

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Upbeat music plays]

Later, Bec says, WOW! HOW DID YOU GET RID OF ALL THOSE FLIES?

[Spiders belching, whooshing]

Bec says, OH, I SEE. WELL, HOW CAN I REPAY YOU?

[Spider squeaking]

Bec puts a toy car on the counter.

Bec says, OF COURSE! HAVE A NICE RIDE!

[Engine revving, squeaking]

The spiders

Bec puts a toy car on the counter, and the spiders drive it away.

Bec waves and says, BYE!

[Banana telephone ringing]

Bec says, YAY! A CUSTOMER!

[Whooshing, beeping]

Bec answers the telephone.

Bec says, YOU'VE REACHED THE MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY BANANA HOTLINE.

[Whooshing, birds chirping]

On a split screen, the black-haired teenager holds a cell phone.

The black-haired teenager says, OH! HI, BEC. I'M SELENA. CAN YOU DELIVER AN ARTY SURPRISE FOR OUR FRIEND, LUCY? SHE WORKS AT OUR FAVOURITE MUSEUM.

Bec says, OF COURSE! I CAN'T WAIT.

[Beeping]

Bec ends the call.

Bec says, TIME TO SPLIT.

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Upbeat music plays]

Bec enters the museum and walks past a skeleton display.

Bec says, AH!

The girl with pigtails whispers, PSST! BEC! OVER HERE.

[Bec gasping, footsteps pattering]

The girl with pigtails, the short-haired boy, and the black-haired teenager, Selena, hide behind a sculpture. Bec runs to them.

Bec says, HI! HI, GUYS! WHO'S SELENA?

Selena says, OH, THAT'S ME!

Bec says, OH, HELLO. WHY ARE WE HERE?

Selena says, WELL, THIS IS THE HORNIMAN MUSEUM. ONE OF OUR FAVOURITE PLACES TO VISIT.

[Whooshing]

Photographs show the clock tower on the museum building, a skull display, and a shell display.

In the museum, Bec says, OH, YEAH! IT'S KNOWN FOR ITS AMAZING NATURAL HISTORY COLLECTIONS. SO, WHO AM I SURPRISING TODAY?

A video clip shows Lucy, a woman with long brown hair, holding a clipboard as she walks past a display of penguins and fish.

The short-haired boy says, IT'S LUCY. SHE WORKS HERE AND TELL US ABOUT ALL THE AMAZING THINGS.

Bec says, OH, COOL! WELL, THERE'S CERTAINLY A LOT TO INSPIRE ME. LET'S GET MAKING!

[Whooshing, upbeat music plays]

Bec looks at displays. Lucy crouches beside a display with Selena and the children. Elsewhere in the museum, Bec stops beside an elevator.

[Gasping]

Bec says, I KNOW. LET'S MAKE SOME UPLIFTING ART. NO TIME APE ABOUT!

Bec runs to two long tables with shiny black and green vinyl-like material and cuts the green one.

Bec says, LET'S GET CUTTING!

Bec cuts strips off the green material and puts them on the black material. Selena and the two children cut giant green leaves and give them to Bec. She puts them on the black material. Selena brings Bec pieces of shiny orange material and cuts out shiny pink flowers. Bec attaches the material to the elevator doors. She adds a hummingbird and a tree frog.

Bec asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Selena says, OH, IT'S SO COOL.

The girl with pigtails says, THAT'S AMAZING.

Bec says, OH, WELL, WHY DON'T YOU GET LUCY AND WE'LL DO THE BIG REVEAL.

[Footsteps running, animated paint splattering, upbeat music plays]

Selena and the children lead Lucy to the elevator. Lucy covers her eyes with her hands.

Selena says, LUCY, WE JUST WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING OUR VISITS TO THE MUSEUM WONDERFUL. WE'VE LEARNED SO MUCH.

The short-haired boy says, TAKE A LOOK!

[Lucy gasping, elevator dinging]

Lucy uncovers her eyes. The art on the door has an orangutan arm reaching across the door past the tree frog and hummingbird. Bec pushes the button, and the elevator doors open, revealing a picture of the smiling orangutan inside the elevator.

Lucy says, WOW! THAT'S AMAZING! THANK YOU SO MUCH, GUYS.

Bec says, THAT'S ANOTHER BRILLIANT DAY OF DELIVERING ART TO YOUR DOOR. SEE YOU NEXT TIME ON--

[Elevator dinging]

Bec pushes the elevator button, and the doors open, revealing Lucy, Selena, and the children.

Everyone says, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!
