[Doorbell ringing]

[Energetic music plays]

[Whistling]

In the Makeaway Takeaway restaurant, different craft supplies fill fridges, cover countertops, and menus, including bottles of paint, scissors, sponges, ribbon and a box of paintbrushes and pens. Host Bec Hill talks on her banana phone. Bec wears her long, curly pink hair in an updo. In her Makeaway Takeaway uniform, she wears a yellow polo shirt with a light blue collar, and a dark blue skirt with suspenders over light blue shorts. Bec paints a self-portrait with bubble wrap. Plates of cups, paint, sunglasses, balled up paper, and straws move on a conveyor belt. Bec pulls a bucket off her head. Three children paint. Bec paints a drawing of an orange, a pear and a banana. Bec announces the title.

Bec says, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

[Doorbell ringing]

In Makeaway Takeaway, Bec stands at the front counter and searches through a pile of papers.

[Papers rustling]

Bec says, OH, HI. I'M BEC. AND THIS IS MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY! DON'T MIND ME. I'M JUST LOOKING FOR MY PHONE. AGAIN. WHILE I KEEP SEARCHING, HERE'S TODAY'S MENU.

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Upbeat music plays]

Bec narrates, COMING UP ON TODAY'S SHOW, A TECHNIQUE THAT POPS LIFE INTO ANY PICTURE.

Bec traces a photo of herself onto bubble wrap.

Bec narrates, I GET A CALL FROM A CUSTOMER WHO CAN'T SAY GOODBYE TO HER OLD SHOES.

A girl with short, curly black hair wearing a pink T-shirt gazes sadly at a pair of black shoes.

Bec narrates, AND WE MAKE WAVES WITH A SPECIAL SURPRISE FOR A SURF COACH WHO HAS MADE A BIG DIFFERENCE.

Four children paddle over waves in the ocean. A bearded coach puts his hands together in a diving motion.

[Whistling]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Gentle music plays]

In Makeaway Takeaway, Bec taps a button on her laptop.

[Beeping]

Bec says, IF I'M GOING TO FIND MY LOST PHONE, I'M NEED TO GET ORGANIZED, WHICH IS WHY I'VE JUST ORDERED THE ORGANIZATOR 9000 FROM... "TOTALLY LEGIT INVENTIONS DELIVERED FAST."

Bec furrows her brow.

[Doorbell ringing]

Bec says, WOW. THAT WAS FAST!

Bec runs across the restaurant and receives a large, tall box.

Bec says, THANK YOU! IT'S BIGGER THAN I EXPECTED.

Bec puts down the box.

[Bec grunting]

[Bec sighing]

Bec opens the box and frowns. She pulls bubble wrap out of the box.

[Slide whistle]

Bec pauses and says, THIS PACKAGING IS A BIT EXCESSIVE.

Bec pulls out more bubble wrap.

Bec reaches the last piece and says, LUCKILY, I CAN REUSE THIS TO MAKE SOME POP ART.

Bec pops bubbles on the bubble wrap.

[Popping]

Bec says, I THINK IT'S TIME FOR…

Bec slowly smiles and cheers, A TAKEAWAY TECHNIQUE!

[Exciting music plays]

Bec sits at the Makeaway Takeaway lunch table with pieces of paper, paint brushes, a sheet of bubble wrap, and dishes of different coloured paint.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU HOW TO MAKE A POP ART PICTURE USING BUBBLE WRAP.

[Gentle, exciting music plays]

Bec says, GET A PHOTO OF YOUR SUBJECT AND BLOW IT UP. I'M USING MY FAVOURITE CELEBRITY.

Bec turns over a photo of herself.

[Record scratching]

[Exciting music abruptly stops]

Bec says, ME!

Bec smiles.

Bec says, GET A PIECE OF BUBBLE WRAP THE SAME SIZE AS YOUR PHOTO. AND LAY IT OVER THE TOP. MAKE SURE THE BUBBLES ARE FACING DOWN AND THE SMOOTH SIDE IS FACING UP. TAKE A MARKER AND DRAW AROUND YOUR PHOTO.

Bec lays the sheet of bubble wrap bubbles down over her photo. She traces the shape of her hair, face and lips onto the bubble wrap with a black marker.

Bec says, THE NOSE IS HERE...

Bec traces her nose onto the bubble wrap.

Bec says, MY EYEBROWS IN THERE. AND A LITTLE BUTTON.

Bec traces her eyes and eyelids, eyebrows, and her collared shirt.

Bec says, I'VE DONE MY OUTLINE ON THE SMOOTH SIDE. NOW TO FLIP IT OVER AND PAINT ON THE BUBBLE SIDE.

Bec sets her marker aside. She flips the bubble wrap over and moves her photo.

[Gentle, upbeat music plays]

Bec paints her face and neck on the bubble wrap outline. She paints her shirt yellow to match her uniform.

Bec says, I'M USING ACRYLIC PAINT AS IT STICKS TO THE PLASTIC. YOU CAN ALSO MIX A PAINT WITH P.V.A. GLUE. OBVIOUSLY YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO ONE OF ME. YOU CAN DO ONE OF YOURSELF, OR A MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY.

Bec paints the collar of her shirt blue, and her hair and eyebrows brown.

Bec says, TIME TO PAINT MY BACKGROUND. GET IT ON NICE AND QUICKLY.

Bec paints the blank background pink.

Bec says, AND LET'S NOT FORGET THE PINK IN MY HAIR.

Bed adds pink blending to her hair.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO ADD SOME ORANGE EYE SHADOW TO REALLY MAKE MY EYES POP.

Bec adds orange paint to her eyelids and sets her paintbrush aside.

Bec says, ONCE YOU'VE COMPLETELY COVERED YOUR BUBBLE WRAP IN PAINT, TAKE YOUR PIECE OF CARD AND LAY IT DOWN FLAT OVER THE BUBBLE WRAP.

Bec lays a large blank piece of paper over the painted bubble wrap and gently presses down on it.

Bec says, FLIP IT OVER. NOW PEEL OFF YOUR BUBBLE WRAP.

Bec flips the paper and bubble wrap over, carefully peeling off the bubble wrap, revealing the bubble painting.

Bec says, OH, IT LOOKS REALLY GOOD! OH, IT LOOKS AMAZING! WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR THIS TO DRY.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the table, Bec cheers, IT'S DRY!

[Upbeat music plays]

Bec says, NOW TO DO AN OUTLINE. I WANT TO GIVE THIS A POP ART FEEL, SO I'M GOING TO MAKE IT QUITE STYLIZED. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS DRAW AROUND YOUR BLOBS OF COLOUR.

Bec draws a black marker over the lines of her shirt, neck, face, and hair.

Bec says, CURLY HAIR!

Bec outlines her hair.

Bec says, I NEED TO ADD MY NOSE. LIKE THAT.

Bec shapes her nose.

Bec says, A COUPLE OF EXTRA DETAILS.

Bec outlines her mouth and adds smile lines.

Bec says, AND FOR THE EYES, I'M GOING TO USE A THINNER MARKER SO I CAN ADD SOME EXTRA DETAIL.

Bec draws on eyelashes with a fine-tipped marker.

Bec says, FINALLY TO COLOUR IN MY EYES. MY EYES ARE LIGHT BROWN, SO I'M USING A LIGHT BROWN FELT TIP.

Bec colours in her eyes.

Bec puts the cap back on her marker and says, AND THERE YOU GO! A POP ART PICTURE PAINTED WITH BUBBLE WRAP.

In animation, a frame appears around Bec’s picture and sparkles.

[Paint splattering]

Later in Makeaway Takeaway, Bec digs inside the large box and tosses out packing peanuts.

[Bec groaning]

Bec says, MY ORGANIZER 9000 MUST BE IN HERE SOMEWHERE!

Bec pulls her head out of the box and frowns. Packing peanuts stick to her hair.

[Bec sighing]

Bec pats at the packing peanuts and furrows her brow. She looks at her reflection in an aluminum pie plate.

Bec says, OH! VERY ON TREND!

[Ringing notification]

An order ticket prints from beneath the Makeaway Takeaway order screen.

[Printer whirring]

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

In a video on the order ticket, the girl with short, curly, black hair is wearing a pink T-shirt and waves.

The curly-haired girl says, HELLO, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY! BEC, I NEED YOUR HELP! I AM CRAZY ABOUT SHOES. MY FAVOURITE SHOES I WEAR TO SCHOOL ARE TOO TIGHT FOR ME. AND I DON'T WANT TO THROW THEM AWAY. CAN YOU HELP?

Bec says, I KNOW JUST THE THINGS! ONE ARTY DELIVERY COMING RIGHT UP!

Bec grabs the order ticket and starts to leave.

Bec pauses and says, I'LL GET RID OF THESE FIRST.

Bec reaches for the packing peanuts in her hair.

[Energetic music plays]

Bec ties her pink sneakers and straightens her socks. She snaps her suspenders and puts on a Makeaway Takeaway visor. Bec puts on a craft belt that carries a paint roller, pen, scissors and other supplies. She straightens her collar, winks, and gives a thumbs up.

Bec says, LET'S DO THIS!

In her bedroom, the curly-haired girl looks in a mirror and waves.

The curly-haired girl narrates, HELLO, MY NAME IS KYLA AND I'M FROM BOLTON. I LOVE PAINTING AND DRAWING, BUT I ALSO LOVE FASHION.

Wearing a pink and silver sequin varsity jacket, Kyla twirls.

[Camera shutter clicking]

Kyla narrates, I WOULD LOVE TO BE A MODEL WHEN I GROW UP. I HAVE LOTS OF CLOTHES, BUT I ALSO HAVE LOTS AND LOTS OF SHOES. I LOVE THEM.

Kyla holds up a pair of purple, pink and white fuzzy sandals.

Kyla narrates, I HAVE SLIPPERS, SNEAKERS, AND SNAZZY HEELS. I'VE EVEN KEPT MY OLD SCHOOL SHOES.

Kyla pulls a black pair of shoes out from under her bed.

Kyla narrates, THEY ARE TOO SMALL, BUT IT SEEMS SUCH A SHAME TO GET RID OF THEM. MAYBE I DON'T HAVE TO?

Kyla looks thoughtful.

Kyla says, AND THAT'S WHY I GAVE BEC A CALL. SHE'LL KNOW WHAT TO DO.

[Doorbell ringing]

An auburn-haired woman pokes her head into Kyla’s bedroom.

The auburn-haired woman says, KYLA, IT'S FOR YOU.

Kyla cheers, YES!

Bex joins Kyla at a craft table and takes off her visor. Kyla wears a blue Makeaway Takeaway apron and stands by the table with her school shoes.

Bec says, HI, KYLA!

Kyla says, HI, BEC!

Bec asks, HOW CAN I HELP?

Kyla says, THESE ARE MY OLD SCHOOL SHOES AND THEY DON'T FIT, BUT I DON'T WANT TO THROW THEM AWAY.

Bec says, NO, I UNDERSTAND THAT. LET'S TRY AND RESCUE THEM. I'M GOING TO TURN THEM INTO SOME WITCHY FEET DOORSTOPS!

Kyla says, OKAY!

[Celebratory music plays]

A pair of legs with black and green striped socks and purple pointy-toed shoes stick out.

[Cheering and applause]

[Gentle music plays]

At the craft table, Bec says, TO MAKE THE LEGS, WE'VE TAKEN THESE TINFOIL BOXES OUT OF THE RECYCLING. AND WE'RE JUST GOING TO SQUISH THE ENDS.

Bec and Kyla place recycled tinfoil boxes on the table. Bec presses on one end of the box with the heel of her hand.

Bec says, JUST LEAN ON IT, KYLA.

Bec and Kyla lean onto the ends of the boxes and flatten them.

[Kyla grunting]

Bec says, GOOD WORK!

[Kyla giggling]

[Bec laughing]

Bec says, THEN I'M GOING TO FOLD IN THE SIDES LIKE THAT.

On the flattened ends of the boxes, Bec and Kyla fold the sides in.

Bec says, THAT'S IT, AND THEN TAKE THOSE BITS AT THE END AND THEN JUST FOLD THEM LIKE THAT.

Bec and Kyla fold the end piece down.

Kyla asks, LIKE THAT?

Bec says, PERFECT! NOW WE'VE GOT OUR SQUISHED ENDS. THIS IS WHAT WE'RE GOING TO USE TO WEDGE UNDER THE DOOR. STICK IT DOWN WITH SOME MASKING TAPE.

Bec and Kyla tape down the folded end piece.

Bec says, OKAY. WRAP IT ALL THE WAY AROUND. WE'LL DO IT A FEW TIMES TO MAKE SURE IT'S SECURE.

Bec and Kyla wrap more tape around the end of the box.

Bec says, YOU'RE DOING MUCH BETTER THAN ME.

Kyla says, THANK YOU. YOU'RE DOING REALLY GOOD AS WELL.

Bec places her box on the table beside Kyla’s.

Bec says, HMM. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Kyla says, THEY LOOK A LITTLE BIT SQUARE.

Bec says, YEAH, NOT QUITE LEGS YET, ARE THEY?

Kyla shakes her head.

Bec says, HMM. I CAN HELP WITH THAT. WE'VE GOT SOME OLD NEWSPAPER THAT WE'RE GOING TO SCRUNCH UP AND GO OVER THE BOX TO MAKE IT LOOK MORE ROUND.

[Gentle, upbeat music plays]

Bec and Kyla grab pieces of old newspaper and scrunch them up in their hands.

Bec says, SCRUNCH IT UP.

[Paper rustling]

Bec says, THEN WRAP IT AROUND.

Bec and Kyla wrap the scrunched-up newspaper around the square end of the tinfoil box.

Bec says, GOOD WORK. GRAB SOME TAPE. STICK IT DOWN.

Bec and Kyla tape the newspaper to the box.

Bec says, NOW IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT'S TOO ROUGH. THIS IS JUST TO GIVE US A SHAPE.

Bec grabs another piece of newspaper and says, AND DO IT AGAIN!

Bec and Kyla continue wrapping the box in scrunched-up newspaper.

Bec says, ALL SCRUNCHY.

[Paper rustling]

Bec says, KEEP GOING UNTIL YOU'VE GOT A NICE LEG SHAPE, BUT DON'T COVER THIS END BECAUSE YOU NEED IT TO WEDGE UNDER THE DOOR.

Bec leaves space between the newspaper and the flattened, taped end of the box.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the craft table, Bec says, WE'VE GOT THE LEGS. NOW WE JUST NEED THE FEET! WE’LL GRAB YOUR SHOES, KYLA. WE WANT THEM TO LOOK LIKE WITCH'S FEET, SO WE NEED TO GIVE THEM A POINTY END.

Bec and Kyla each place one of Kyla’s black shoes on the table and pieces of old newspaper.

Bec says, GRAB THIS. AND THEN WE'RE GOING TO PUT IT INTO A SORT OF POINT, A BIT SCRUNCHY.

Bec and Kyla shape the newspaper into a pointed toe. They hold the newspaper over the toes of the shoes and reach for more masking tape.

Bec says, AND THEN STICK IT ON THE SHOE. I'VE GOT SOME TAPE HERE.

Bec and Kyla tape the toe-shaped newspaper to the shoes.

Bec says, AND IF YOU GET THIS PART.

Bec and Kyla pinch the pointy tip of the newspaper.

Kyla says, MM-HMM.

Bec says, THEN WE GO "BOOP!"

Bec and Kyla fold back the pointy tip.

Bec says, YEAH!

Kyla says, BOOP.

Bec says, THESE SHOES NEED SOME BUCKLES. I'VE MADE SOME BY CUTTING OUT PIECES OF CARDBOARD. AND I'M STICKING THEM DOWN WITH DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE.

Bec sticks a trapezoid-shaped piece of cardboard with the centre cut out to another trapezoid-shaped piece of cardboard with double-sided tape.

Bec says, THERE'S MY BUCKLE SHAPE. I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU A NEAT TRICK TO HELP YOU STICKING THINGS ON.

Bec grabs a piece of masking tape.

Bec says, GET A PIECE OF MASKING TAPE, AND JUST STICK THE END ON. THEN LOOP IT, SO IT'S NICE AND STICKY ON BOTH SIDES.

Bec makes a loop with the masking tape and sticks it onto the back of the cardboard buckle. She then sticks the buckle onto one of the shoes.

Bec says, TIME FOR THE FUN PART. WE'RE GOING TO DO SOME PAPER MÂCHÉ!

Kyla asks, READY GET MESSY?

Bec cheers, OH, YEAH!

[Exciting upbeat music plays]

Bec and Kyla grab cups of papier mâché mix and purple tissue paper.

Bec says, YOU CAN USE NEWSPAPER, BUT WE'RE USING PURPLE TISSUE PAPER BECAUSE IT DRIES FASTER, AND IT MEANS WE DON'T HAVE TO PAINT IT.

Bec dips a square of purple tissue paper into her papier mâché mix.

Bec says, BLEH.

[Bec giggling]

Kyla says, AMAZINGLY MESSY.

Bec says, YEAH.

Bec and Kyla put dipped pieces of tissue paper on the newspaper on the shoes.

Bec says, SO, THESE ARE WITCHY FEET DOOR STOPS. WOULD YOU RATHER BE A WITCH OR MEET A WITCH?

Kyla says, HMM. BE A WITCH. WITCHES ARE CUTE.

Bec says, A CUTE WITCH?

Kyla nods and says, A CUTE WITCH.

Bec says, I'D BE A SANDWICH.

[Music abruptly stops]

Kyla says, WHAT?

Bec grins.

[Kyla giggling]

[Upbeat music continues]

Giggling, Kyla says, A SANDWICH.

Kyla places another piece of damp tissue paper on a shoe.

Bec asks, WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRAVEL ON A BROOMSTICK?

Kyla nods and says, YES! BUT I AM VERY AFRAID OF HEIGHTS.

Bec says, OH, YEAH, THAT WOULD BE BAD. YOU'D NEED A SEATBELT ON YOUR BROOM.

Kyla says, AND SOMEONE TO CATCH ME BELOW.

Bec says, YEAH, SOMEONE TO CATCH YOU BELOW.

Kyla says, I'M VERY SCARED OF HEIGHTS.

[Bec and Kyla giggling]

Bec asks, IF YOU COULD CAST ANY SPELL, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Kyla says, A SPELL WHICH EXPLODED KITTENS.

Bec says, OH, LIKE, BUT IN A GOOD WAY, LIKE THEY APPEAR, EVERYONE GETS A KITTEN?

Kyla says, YES.

Bec says, GOOD.

Kyla says, THEY'RE EVERYWHERE.

Bec dramatically pretends to wipe sweat off her forehead.

[Bec chuckling]

Bec says, SO, KYLA, THESE ARE YOUR FAVOURITE PAIR OF SHOES. HOW MANY SHOES DO YOU HAVE?

Kyla says, I HAVE... HMM, ABOUT 50.

Bec says, WHAT?!

[Record scratching]

[Music abruptly stops]

Bec says, 50?

Kyla says, WELL, I'VE GOT A LOT.

[Upbeat music continues]

Kyla smooths out the damp tissue paper on her shoe.

Bec says, LOOKING PRETTY GOOD.

Kyla says, THANK YOU! SO IS YOURS.

Bec says, KEEP GOING UNTIL THE SHOE IS ENTIRELY COVERED WITH TISSUE PAPER.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the craft table, Bec says, THE PAPER MÂCHÉ IS DRY, AND I'VE DONE THE ENDS OF THE LEGS.

Bec holds up the witch leg door stoppers. The ends are covered in dry, purple papier mâché.

Bec says, HAVEN'T DONE THE REST. YOU'LL SEE WHY SOON. WE'RE GOING TO PAINT THE BUCKLES.

Bec and Kyla paint the cardboard buckles gold.

Bec says, BUCKLES ARE DONE.

Bec sets the paint aside and grabs one of the legs.

Bec says, BACK TO THE LEGS! GOT THESE LOVELY WITCHY SOCKS.

Bec grabs a long black and green striped sock. Kyla holds the other one.

Bec says, WE'RE GOING TO PUT THEM ON OUR WITCHY LEGS.

Bec and Kyla roll up the black and green socks.

Bec says, THERE YOU GO. AND THEN IF YOU DO THIS…

Bec pulls her sock over her witch leg and asks, CAN YOU STRETCH IT OVER?

Kyla pulls her sock over her witch leg.

Bec says, DONE. ALL THAT'S LEFT IS TO PUT THE LEGS IN THE SHOES. GET YOUR SHOE.

Bec and Kyla grab the shoes.

Bec asks, READY?

Kyla says, YEAH.

Bec says, JAM IT IN.

Bec and Kyla push the witch legs into the shoes.

Bec says, AH. GOOD WORK. THESE LOOK READY TO WEDGE UNDER A DOOR. AND THERE ARE YOUR WITCHY FEET DOOR STOPS. YOU DON'T HAVE TO MAKE WITCH'S FEET. YOU COULD ALSO MAKE GOBLIN FEET OUT OF OLD, WORN-OUT WELLIES.

Green goblin feet, rainboot door stops are shown with yellow toenails.

Bec says, OR WHAT ABOUT SKELETON FEET USING BROKEN FLIP FLOPS?

Black and white skeleton flip-flop door stops are shown.

[Paint splattering]

In her house, Kyla pushes her witch leg door stoppers under a door.

Kyla says, THANKS, BEC! I LOVE MY NEW DOOR STOP.

[Whooshing]

At Makeaway Takeaway, Bec says, YOU'RE WELCOME, KYLA! I HOPE IT COMES IN HANDY. OR SHOULD I SAY, LEGGY?

[Drum rim shot plays]

Bec grins.

Bec says, MADE ME CACKLE.

Bec puts Kyla’s order ticket in a tray on the back counter.

Bec says, ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER.

[Register ding]

Bec says, NOW, BACK TO MY UNPACKING.

Bec looks in a box.

[Bec groaning]

Bec grabs a box from a row of boxes and pulls out a smaller box. She points to each of the boxes on the counter.

Bec says, IN THIS BOX WAS THIS BOX, THEN IN THIS BOX WAS THIS BOX, THEN IN THIS BOX WAS THIS BOX.

[Bec taking a deep breath]

Bec says, AND I STILL HAVEN'T FOUND MY ORGANIZATOR 9000! OR MY PHONE!

[Bec sighing]

Bec says, I NEED A BREAK. I NEED SOME PAPER PUPPETRY.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

[Cheerful, upbeat music plays]

On a large notepad on an easel, Bec picks up a slice of cardboard pizza. Fake cheese stretches off the notepad.

Bec narrates, NOW LET'S SEE HOW IT'S DONE!

Bec stretches a pair of sheer tights. She stretches the fake cheese in the cardboard pizza, the sheer tights, and smiles.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

[Gentle music plays]

[Birds chirping]

In Makeaway Takeaway, Bec appears behind the front counter and looks at the large box through a pair of binoculars. She wears a brown hat and a green vest.

Bec lowers the binoculars and says, AFTER HOURS OF UNPACKING, THERE'S STILL NO SIGN OF THE ELUSIVE ORGANIZATOR 9000. PERHAPS IF WE STAY VERY QUIET, IT WILL EMERGE FROM ITS HABITAT ON ITS OWN.

Bec looks through her binoculars.

[Birds chirping]

[Gentle music continues]

Bec lowers the binoculars and says, MAYBE NOT.

Bec looks toward the Mega Mini Make table on the other side of the room.

Bec says, OH, BUT I CAN SEE A MEGA MINI MAKE!

Bec throws off her hat and walks over to the table.

[Paint splattering]

[Gentle cheerful music plays]

Bec takes a seat at the table with supplies that include scissors, markers, two paper circles, a paper straw and tape.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A THAUMATROPE. I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT THAT IS LATER. I'VE GOT TWO CIRCLES OF PAPER HERE, AND ON ONE PIECE, I'M DRAWING A BEACH.

On one paper circle, Bec draws a horizon line, waves, and the sun.

Bec says, AH! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY. I'M USING MY PEN TO LINE UP THE HORIZON OF MY BEACH SO I KNOW WHERE TO PUT MY PALM TREE ON THE OTHER CIRCLE.

Bec lines up the horizon line on the first paper circle with her second paper circle and draws a palm tree.

Bec says, AND NOW TO COLOUR IT IN!

Bec grabs an orange marker and says, DO MY SAND. I LIKE THIS SAND MORE THAN REAL SAND BECAUSE YOU CAN'T GET IT STUCK BETWEEN YOUR TOES!

Bec colours in the beach, waves and sun on the first paper circle.

Bec says, OH, NEED SUNGLASSES! IT'S TOO BRIGHT! AND I'M ONTO MY OTHER CIRCLE, COLOURING IN MY PALM TREE.

Bec colours in the palm tree on the second paper circle.

Bec says, HOW DO WE GET OUR TREE ONTO OUR BEACH? I'LL SHOW YOU. I'M GOING TO MARK THE TOP AND THE BOTTOM OF MY CIRCLE, JUST AT THE EDGE. THE LINES SHOW ME WHERE TO PUT MY STRAW.

Bec marks the back of both paper circles and grabs a piece of tape.

Bec says, I'M STICKING ON A RECYCLED PAPER STRAW. I'M USING DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE. BUT YOU COULD ALSO USE GLUE STICK OR STICKY TAPE.

Bec places the double-sided tape horizontally on the back of the first paper circle and lines up a paper straw with the marks on the back. She places the second paper circle over the first, with the palm tree side up, and presses them together.

Bec says, AND JUST PUSH DOWN AT THE SIDES. AND THERE YOU HAVE IT. YOUR THAUMATROPE.

Bec picks up the thaumatrope. She quickly rolls the straw between her hands and spins the circles so it looks like the palm tree is on the beach.

Bec says, THE PALM TREE IS ON ITS BEACH.

[Paint splattering]

Later in the Makeaway Takeaway, from inside the large box, Bec says, I FOUND IT!

Bec pops up from inside the box with a small gold box.

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

Bec stands up inside the large box.

Bec says, THE ORGANIZATOR 9000! IT'S... IT'S...

Bec opens the gold box, revealing a single red paper clip.

[Record scratching]

[Music abruptly stops]

Bec frowns and says, A PAPERCLIP? THAT WILL TEACH ME FOR ORDERING FROM SUSPICIOUS WEBSITES.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

Later in Makeaway Takeaway, Bec stands behind the front counter and looks at the pile of paper and boxes.

[Quick, upbeat music plays]

Bec says, UGH! THIS PLACE IS MESSIER THAN BEFORE! AND I STILL HAVEN'T FOUND MY PHONE!

Bec scowls. She sweeps everything off the counter.

[Clattering and clanging]

Bec smiles.

[Ringing]

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

A boy with short brown hair wearing a dark green long-sleeved shirt appears on the order screen.

The brown-haired boy says, IT'S THE MAKE OF THE DAY! HI, BEC! MY NAME IS DANIEL AND I'M FROM NORTHERN IRELAND.

Bec says, HI, DANIEL!

Daniel asks, WHAT CAN YOU MAKE OUT OF THESE THREE INGREDIENTS? A PLASTIC BOTTLE. A BALLOON. A SPONGE.

The conveyor belt starts moving, and plastic plates appear with Daniel’s ingredients. A plastic bottle appears on a blue plate, a blue balloon appears on a yellow plate, and a white sponge appears on an orange plate.

Bec says, HMM. I'M GOING TO NEED SOME INSPIRATION.

Bec looks thoughtful.

Bec says, TELL ME, DANIEL, IF YOU COULD BE ANY COLOUR OF THE RAINBOW, WHAT COLOUR WOULD YOU BE?

Daniel says, BLUE, BECAUSE BLUE IS MY FAVOURITE COLOUR.

Bec says, OKAY, GOOD TO KNOW! AND CAN YOU MAKE ANY FUNNY FACES?

Daniel puffs out his cheeks and pulls on his ears.

Daniel stops and says, MONKEY.

Bec says, LET ME TRY.

Bec pugs out her cheeks, pulls on her ears and crosses her eyes.

[Record scratching]

[Music abruptly stops]

Bec stops and says, IT'S NOT PART OF THE MAKE. I JUST REALLY LIKE PULLING FACES.

[Daniel laughing]

[Upbeat music continues]

Bec looks at the Make of the Day ingredients and says, I KNOW JUST THE THING. ONE MAKE OF THE DAY COMING RIGHT UP!

Daniel says, BRILLIANT! THANKS, BEC!

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

Bec steps behind the front counter with her craft supplies laid out, including scissors, markers, a large measuring cup of blue paint, rectangular pieces of blue and white paper, and Daniel’s Make of the Day ingredients.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A MEGA MARKER USING DANIEL'S INGREDIENTS.

[Paint splattering]

[Celebratory music plays]

A giant blue marker with a blue squiggle labelled “01” is shown.

[Cheering and applause]

[Paint splattering]

Bec says, SO, WITH THE FIRST INGREDIENT, THE RECYCLED PLASTIC BOTTLE, I'M GOING TO TAKE OFF THE LID AND FILL IT WITH WATERED-DOWN PAINT. THIS IS GOING TO BE MY MEGA MARKER'S INK. I'VE GONE WITH BLUE BECAUSE THAT'S DANIEL'S FAVOURITE COLOUR. WHEN YOU DO THIS, MAKE SURE YOU POUR IT OVER SOME NEWSPAPER.

Bec pours the large measuring cup of blue paint into the plastic bottle.

Bec says, NOW MY MEGA MARKER HAS SOME INK. LET'S GIVE IT A NIB! USING MY SECOND INGREDIENT, THE SPONGE. CUT OFF A PIECE. WATCH YOUR FINGERS.

Bec cuts off the top of the white sponge and then cuts the top piece in half.

Bec says, AND TAKE YOUR SPONGE, AND PUSH IT INTO THE NECK.

Bec takes a small piece of sponge and pushes it into the neck of the plastic bottle.

Bec says, AND WITH THE FINAL INGREDIENT, THE OLD BALLOON! CUT OFF THE END SO YOU'VE JUST GOT THE NECK OF THE BALLOON.

Bec cuts off the neck of the blue balloon.

Bec says, GET YOUR FINGERS IN THERE. STRETCH IT OUT AND PLACE IT OVER THE SPONGE.

Bec stretches the neck piece of the balloon over the sponge in the plastic bottle.

Bec says, THE REASON I AM DOING THIS IS SO THAT THE INK DOESN'T LEAK.

Bec straightens the sponge and balloon neck.

Bec says, NOW IT JUST NEEDS A LABEL! I'VE CUT OUT SOME RECTANGLES OF CARD. I'VE GOT WHITE CARD ON TOP OF BLUE CARD TO MAKE A LOVELY BLUE BORDER. JUST DRAWING A LOVELY BIG MARKER SQUIGGLE.

Bec draws a two-sided squiggle with a black marker on her rectangular blue and white label.

Bec says, COLOUR IT IN.

Bec colours in the squiggle with a blue marker.

Bec says, AND ALL COLOURED IN.

Bec puts the cap back on her marker.

Bec says, I'VE DONE A SQUIGGLE LABEL, AND A NUMBER LIKE YOU WOULD FIND ON A NORMAL MARKER. THEN STICK YOUR LABELS ON. I'M USING DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE, BUT YOU COULD ALSO USE A GLUE STICK, OR STICKY TAPE.

Bec tapes her squiggle label and a “01” label onto the bottle.

Bec says, AND THERE IS YOUR MEGA MARKER. NOW, LET'S GIVE IT A WHIRL.

Bec flips the Mega Marker onto a plastic plate. She presses the sponge tip onto the plate and squeezes the bottle.

Bec says, I’M JUST PUTTING IT OVER THIS RECYCLED PLASTIC PLATE AS I PUSH THROUGH MY INK.

Bec looks at the now-blue sponge tip.

Bec says, NOW MY NIB IS NICE AND INKY. I'M GOING TO DO A DELICIOUS CUPCAKE.

Bec sets the plate aside and draws a cupcake onto yellow poster paper with the Mega Marker.

Bec says, THERE'S THE BASE OF MY CUPCAKE. WITH SOME SWIRLY ICING. MMM, YUM. AND THERE'S SOME CRUMBS AS WELL, BECAUSE I AM A MESSY COOK!

Bec dabs spots around the cupcake as crumbs using the Mega Marker.

Bec says, THAT IS MY DELICIOUS CUPCAKE, DRAWN WITH MY MEGA MARKER! WHILE I PACKAGE THIS UP FOR DANIEL, CHECK OUT THESE OTHER IDEAS.

[Whooshing]

A Mega Marker box holds green, yellow, orange and red Mega Markers, each labelled with a different number.

Bec narrates, YOU CAN MAKE ANY COLOUR AND USE ANY SIZE PLASTIC BOTTLES YOU HAVE IN YOUR RECYCLING. AREN'T THEY GREAT?

Other Mega Marker bottles include a dish soap bottle with pink paint.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

[Cheerful music plays]

At Makeaway Takeaway, Bec carries a take-out bag to the delivery hatch in the wall.

Bec says, LET'S GET OUR SQUIGGLE ON. MUSTN'T DOODLE.

Bec slides the take-out bag onto a platform in the delivery hatch.

Bec says, POP THIS IN THE DELIVERY HATCH. HERE YOU GO, DANIEL!

Bec presses a button beside the hatch, and the platform rises.

[Beeping]

[Paint splattering]

At his house, Daniel opens the take-out bag.

Daniel says, OH, WOW!

Denial takes out a blue Mega Marker and says, A MEGA MARKER! THANKS, BEC!

Bec says, ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER.

Bec smiles.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

At Makeaway Takeaway, Bec scrunches up a piece of paper and tucks it into the large box. Everything inside the box is neatly organized with boxes as drawers with packing peanut knobs and labelled with pink and green tape. Other items in the large box include rolls of bubble wrap, more scrunched-up paper and packing peanuts.

[Bec sighing]

Bec says, DONE. ALL THOSE BOXES MADE THE PERFECT GIANT DESK TIDY! AND THANKS TO MY ORGANIZATOR 9000, I CAN KEEP ALL MY PAPERS TOGETHER!

The Organizator 9000, the red paperclip, holds Bec’s papers together. Bec slides her papers into a box drawer and closes the large box.

[Bec sighing]

Bec says, STILL DIDN'T FIND MY PHONE, THOUGH.

[Muffled phone ringing]

Bec furrows her brow. She pats her shorts and skirt. She reaches into her skirt pocket and pulls out the banana phone.

[Banana phone ringing]

Bec says, OH, I HAD IT ALL ALONG!

Bec answers the phone and says, HELLO! MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY BANANA HOTLINE!

On the other end of the phone, on a beach, a girl with long blond hair wears a dark blue sweater with a hood.

The blond-haired girl says, HI, BEC, I'M MAISIE. CAN YOU DELIVER AN ARTY SURPRISE FOR OUR SURF LIFESAVING COACH?

Bec says, OF COURSE! I'LL BE RIGHT THERE.

Bec ends the call and says, TIME TO SPLIT.

Bec leaves.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

At Brighton Pier, people sit near the ocean.

[Carnival music plays]

A man says, THREE, TWO, ONE!

On the shore, the bearded coach stands between two girls lying on their bellies beside surfboards. The girls wear red, white and blue caps and green shirts over wetsuits.

The bearded coach says, GO! ON YOUR BOARDS.

The two girls jump up. They grab their boards and run to the water. In the water, they paddle over the waves.

The bearded coach says, RIGHT ON, GIRLS!

Later on the beach, Masie, one of the girls, collects trash with a grabber and a trash bag with a girl who has long, brown hair. They both wear dark blue sweaters with hoods. Bec walks over wearing her visor and craft tool belt. Two other surf students join them.

Bec says, HI, GUYS!

The four students say, HI!

Bec asks, IS IT MAISIE?

Maisie says, YEAH.

Bec asks, AND WHO ARE YOUR FRIENDS?

Maisie says, THIS IS JASMINE, THIS IS BONNIE, AND THAT'S ROWAN.

Jasmine is the brown-haired girl picking up trash. The two other surf students, Bonnie and Rowan wear matching red, white and blue striped caps and blue shirts over their wetsuits.

Bec says, HELLO, NICE TO MEET YOU! AND YOU WANT ME TO DELIVER A SURPRISE FOR YOUR SURF LIFESAVING CLUB COACH?

Maisie says, YES, PLEASE.

Jasmine, Bonnie and Rowan say, YEAH.

Bec says, YEAH. OKAY, AND WHO IS THAT?

Maisie says, DAVE.

Bec asks, AND WHY WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP DAVE?

Maisie says, HE JUST TAUGHT US HOW TO SURF, HOW TO SWIM SAFELY IN THE SEA, AND FIRST AID.

On the beach, Dave, the bearded coach, practices C.P.R. on a manikin.

Rowan says, WE ALSO GET TO TAKE PART IN LOTS OF COMPETITIONS AGAINST OTHER CLUBS.

Bec says, OH, THAT SOUNDS AWESOME! AND WHAT HAVE YOU GOT HERE?

Jasmine says, THE PLASTIC WE'VE COLLECTED FROM LOTS OF DIFFERENT BEACHES AND THE WATER.

Bec says, OH, WOW. THAT'S A LOT.

Jasmine says, YEAH. WE WORRY ABOUT ANIMALS EATING IT, BECAUSE IT'S REALLY BAD FOR THEM.

Bec says, WELL, LET'S RECYCLE THIS PLASTIC AND MAKE SOMETHING FANTASTIC. AND I KNOW JUST THE PLACE.

Bec runs up the beach with Maisie, Jasmine, Bonnie and Rowan.

[Upbeat music plays]

A sign reads, “Sea Life Brighton.” At Sea Life, an aquarium, Maisie, Jasmine, Bonnie, and Rowan dump out trash bags of different bottle lids and pieces of plastic trash onto a rectangular table. They all wear blue surf club T-shirts. Bonnie and Rowan have dark blond hair. Bonnie’s is long and Rowan’s is short.

Maisie says, LET'S GET THIS SORTED.

Wearing disposable gloves, Maisie, Jasmine, Bonnie and Rowan sort the trash into different piles.

Jasmine asks, WAIT, DO GREENS AND BLUES IN THE SAME PILE?

Maisie, Jasmine, Bonnie and Rowan put the trash and bottle caps into bags. Maisie delivers a bag to Bec.

Bec says, WASHED AND SORTED, READY TO GO!

Bec gives Maisie a thumbs-up and runs to a large table in a room with underwater-themed walls that feature clownfish, a sea turtle, a seahorse, and coral. Bec dumps a bag of blue trash onto the table.

Bec says, LET'S MAKE SOME ART!

Bec holds up a blue bottle cap and a hot glue gun and grins. She hot-glues blue bottle caps onto a large board.

[Upbeat music continues]

Sharks glide through the water in different tanks in the aquarium, and schools of fish swim together. In the underwater-themed room, Bec glues a blue comb to the board beside a blue toy car wheel. She adds a white plastic ball to the board among other pieces of white plastic. At the rectangular table, Maisie, Jasmine, Bonnie, and Rowan fill a bag with green bottle caps and other pieces of green trash. Rowan brings the bag to Bec.

Bec says, GREEN!

Bec nods and drops a handful of green trash onto the large board. She looks through a green tube. Bec starts gluing pieces of green waste to the board. In other aquarium tanks, turtles glide through the water. Bec looks at the board and nods. At the rectangular table, Maisie, Jasmine, Bonnie, and Rowan fill another bag with red and orange trash.

[Rustling]

Masie brings the bag of red and orange pieces of trash to Bec. Bec empties the bag onto the large board and sorts through the pieces. She glues the pieces to different spots on the board. Some pieces include a red spoon, a bubble wand, and an orange razor. In one of the aquarium tanks, an octopus flicks its tentacles. Bec drops yellow pieces of trash onto the board in the underwater-themed room.

[Plastic trash rattling]

Bec thoughtfully looks at a child’s shoe insert and picks up a plastic spoon.

Bec says, A LOT OF PLASTIC ENDS UP IN OUR OCEANS, SO IT'S IMPORTANT THAT YOU ALWAYS PUT IT IN THE RECYCLING BIN AND MAKE SURE YOU DON'T BUY SINGLE-USE PLASTIC.

In an aquarium tank, jellyfish float through the water. At the rectangular table, Maisie, Jasmine, Bonnie and Rowan gather white pieces of trash. Jasmine delivers a bag to Bec and grins. Bec dumps pieces of white trash onto the large board and sorts through it. She glues a green bottle cap to her design on the board. The different coloured pieces of trash start to form a shape.

[Upbeat music continues]

Pieces of trash in Bec’s art piece include more spoons and combs, plastic water bottle spouts and a baby block toy. Bec glues a black container lid onto a wider, faded orange lid. She glues a yellow dome-shaped piece of plastic onto the black lid and steps back from the table. Maisie, Jasmine, Bonnie and Rowan look at Bec’s creation.

Maisie, Jasmine, Bonnie and Rowan say, WOW!

Maisie says, THIS IS AMAZING!

Bonnie says, I LOVE IT.

Bec says, OH, WELL, THANKS TO YOU GUYS! DO YOU THINK DAVE WILL LIKE IT?

Jasmine, Bonnie and Rowan say, YEAH!

Maisie says, DEFINITELY.

Bec says, EXCELLENT. AND IT'S A SPECIAL TREAT FOR THE CENTRE TO REMIND EVERYONE ABOUT KEEPING THE OCEANS CLEAN.

Maisie, Jasmine, Bonnie and Rowan nod and say, YEAH.

Bec says, OKAY, WELL, WHY DON'T YOU GO GET DAVE, AND I'LL PUT THIS UP ON THE WALL.

Rowan says, OKAY.

Maisie says, LET'S GO!

Maisie, Jasmine, Bonnie and Rowan leave.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the aquarium, Bec’s artwork hangs on a wall.

Dave asks, WHAT'S GOING ON? WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP TO?

Maisie and Jasmin lead Dave forward by his arm. They stop beside the artwork.

Maisie says, DAVE, WE JUST WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU'VE DONE FOR US.

Dave’s eyes are closed.

Jasmin says, HOPEFULLY THIS WILL SHOW EVERYONE HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO LOOK AFTER OUR OCEANS.

Bonnie and Rowan hold onto Dave’s other arm. Bec stands by her artwork, which is an image of a sea turtle swimming over coral entirely made of plastic trash.

Rowan says, TAKE A LOOK.

Dave opens his eyes and looks at the artwork. His mouth hangs open.

Dave says, WOW! THAT'S AMAZING, GUYS!

Dave stares at the artwork. Bec smiles.

Dave says, THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Dave looks at Maisie, Jasmin, Bonnie and Rowan.

Bec says, THAT'S ANOTHER BRILLIANT DAY OF DELIVERING ART TO YOUR DOOR. SEE YOU NEXT TIME ON...

Everyone says, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!
