[Energetic music plays]

[Whistling]

In the Makeaway Takeaway restaurant, different craft supplies fill fridges, cover countertops, and menus, including bottles of paint, scissors, sponges, ribbon and a box of paintbrushes and pens. Host Bec Hill talks on her banana phone. Bec wears her long, curly pink hair in an updo. In her Makeaway Takeaway uniform, she wears a yellow polo shirt with a light blue collar, and a dark blue skirt with suspenders over light blue shorts. Bec paints a self-portrait with bubble wrap. Plates of cups, paint, sunglasses, balled up paper, and straws move on a conveyor belt. Bec pulls a bucket off her head. Three children paint. Bec paints a drawing of an orange, a pear and a banana. Bec announces the title.

Bec says, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

[Doorbell ringing]

[Dramatic music plays]

In Makeaway Takeaway, Bec wears rubber gloves and frantically runs around with a duster. She runs and grabs a colourful polka dot teapot.

Bec stops and says, OH, HELLO! WELCOME TO MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY! I'M JUST DOING A SPOT OF CLEANING, SO WHILE I DUST THIS TEAPOT, WHY DON'T YOU CHECK OUT TODAY'S MENU.

[Upbeat music plays]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Cheerful music plays]

Bec narrates, COMING UP ON TODAY'S SHOW. A TECHNIQUE THAT PANDAS TO YOUR CREATIVE NEEDS.

Bec puts together the layers of a 3-D panda picture.

Bec narrates, I GET A CALL FROM A CUSTOMER WHO NEEDS A BLOOMING, BRILLIANT BIRTHDAY PRESENT FOR THEIR NANNA, AND WE DELIVER A SPLATASTIC SURPRISE FOR AN AMAZING ART TEACHER.

At a birthday party, a black-haired woman admires a flower pot that looks like her. In a soccer field, three children wearing blue coveralls spray stencils with water pistols.

[Paint splattering]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Lively music plays]

In Makeaway Takeaway, Bec drags a vacuum across the floor past cardboard boxes and piles of scrunched-up brown paper.

Bec pauses and says, MY GRANDMA'S COMING TO VISIT TODAY AND I WANT THE PLACE TO LOOK SPOTLESS.

Bec turns on the vacuum and accidentally vacuums the back of her skirt.

[Vacuum whirring]

Bec yelps, WOO!

Bec pulls the vacuum nozzle off her skirt.

Bec says, OH! DO YOU MIND?

Bec turns off the vacuum and says, I NEED A BREAK. I THINK IT'S TIME FOR…

Bec slowly smiles and cheers, A TAKEAWAY TECHNIQUE!

[Exciting music plays]

[Gentle music plays]

Bec takes a seat at the Makeaway Takeaway lunch table with pieces of white paper, green paper, sheets of cardboard, a ruler, a pen, a marker, scissors, a glue stick, and a small block of green modelling clay.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU HOW TO MAKE A 3-D PICTURE USING LAYERS OF COLOURED CARD. NOW, I'VE CUT OUT FIVE PIECES OF A3 CARDBOARD FROM A RECYCLED BOX. AND I'VE STUCK A PIECE OF GREEN CARD ONTO ONE OF THEM. NEXT, I'M GOING TO DRAW A SQUARE IN THE CENTRE OF IT TO MAKE MY FRAME.

Bec draws a square in the middle of a rectangular sheet of cardboard with her ruler and pen.

Bec says, I'VE JUST GOT TO CUT IT OUT. I'M GONNA USE SOME MODELLING CLAY HERE. I'M JUST GONNA PUT IT ON THE OTHER SIDE OF MY CARD. I'M GONNA USE MY SCISSORS TO PIERCE THROUGH TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MODELLING CLAY, BUT YOU MIGHT WANT AN ADULT TO HELP YOU.

Bec places the sheet of cardboard over the block of clay. She pushes the tip of the scissors through the centre of the cardboard into the clay.

Bec says, THAT MEANS I CAN PUT MY SCISSORS INTO THE HOLE AND NOW I CAN CUT OUT MY SQUARE!

Bec cuts out a square of cardboard. She holds the sheet with the cutout square over her face like a picture frame.

Bec says, I'VE CUT OUT MY FRAMES.

Bec lowers the cardboard frame, revealing the green paper on the other side.

Bec says, THAT'S THE ONE THAT HAD THE GREEN CARD ON IT. I'M GONNA TAKE ONE OF THE PLAIN ONES AND GLUE IT ONTO MY OTHER PIECE OF GREEN CARD. THIS WILL BE THE BACKGROUND TO MY PICTURE. WE'RE GOING TO COME BACK TO THESE A BIT LATER.

Bec glues a second sheet of cardboard with a cutout square onto a full sheet of green paper and sets both cardboard frames aside.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO DRAW A PANDA. I'LL START WITH A PANDA'S HEAD.

Bec draws a panda’s head on a white piece of paper with her black pen. She adds ears, eyes, nose and mouth.

Bec says, A NICE BIG BODY.

Bec draws a large lower body and arms.

Bec says, JUST GOING TO COLOUR IT IN NOW.

Bec colours in the Panda with her black marker.

Bec says, DRAW LEAVES ONTO BOTH PIECES OF GREEN CARD. TRY MAKING DIFFERENT SIZES AND USED UP LOTS OF THE EDGES TO AVOID WASTING PAPER.

Bec draws leaves onto pieces of light green and dark green paper.

Bec says, ALL I HAVE TO DO NOW IS CUT THEM OUT.

Bec cuts out the leaf drawings.

Bec says, AND WITH SOME YELLOW CARD, I'VE CUT OUT SOME BAMBOO. SO, I'M GOING TO START BUILDING MY PICTURE.

Bec spreads glue around the cardboard frame on the full sheet of green paper.

Bec says, STARTING WITH THE BACKGROUND, I'LL GLUE ALL AROUND THE EDGES, AND I'M JUST GONNA POP MY GREEN LEAVES COMING IN AT THE SIDES.

Bec glues two pieces of her light green leaves onto opposite sides of the square in the frame.

Bec says, SANDWICH TIME! NEXT FRAME!

Bec glues a second, blank cardboard frame onto the frame with leaves.

Bec says, THIS IS SO WE CAN BUILD UP OUR PICTURE TO GIVE IT THE 3-D EFFECT.

Bec glues the panda onto the second frame.

Bec says, ADD THE PANDA, TAKE ANOTHER FRAME, THE MORE LAYERS, THE MORE DEPTH YOU GET.

Bec glues a third frame onto the second.

Bec says, PANDAS TEND TO GET A LITTLE BIT HUNGRY, SO LAY THE BAMBOO ON TOP.

Bec glues two bamboo cutouts onto the third frame and then adds a fourth frame.

Bec says, NEARLY THERE. FINALLY, ADD THE GREEN LEAVES AROUND THE EDGES.

Bec glues her dark green leaves over and under the panda on the fourth frame.

Bec says, LAST FRAME.

Bec glues the last frame, the frame with the green paper, onto the fourth frame with the green side up.

Bec says, AND THERE YOU HAVE IT. OUR BEAUTIFUL 3-D PICTURE MADE WITH LAYERED COLOUR CARD OF A PANDA.

[Paint splattering]

Later in Makeaway Takeaway, Bec tries to vacuum up a thin piece of cardboard on the floor.

[Vacuum whirring]

Bec frowns. She looks at the nozzle and glances at the vacuum.

Bec says, AH, IT'S ON LOW. AND GOING TO TURN IT UP TO MAXIMUM SUCK!

Bec turns a switch on the vacuum.

[Vacuum whirring loudly]

Bec stumbles away.

[Bec yelping]

[Crashing]

[Vacuum powering down]

Bec dusts off her hands on her skirt.

Bec says, DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME.

[Ringing notification]

An order ticket prints from beneath the Makeaway Takeaway order screen.

[Printer whirring]

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

In a video on the order ticket, a boy with short, curly brown hair wears a blue polo shirt.

The brown-haired boy says, HELLO, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY. BEC, I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP. MY NANNA'S COMING TODAY. IT'S HER BIRTHDAY AND HER PRESENT HASN'T ARRIVED IN THE POST! BEC, CAN YOU HELP US MAKE SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR HER?

Bec says, I CERTAINLY CAN. I KNOW JUST THE THING. ONE ARTY DELIVERY COMING RIGHT UP!

Bec grabs the order ticket and runs out of the restaurant into a comic book panel.

[Energetic music plays]

Bec ties her pink sneakers and straightens her socks. She snaps her suspenders and puts on a Makeaway Takeaway visor. Bec puts on a craft belt that carries a paint roller, pen, scissors and other supplies. She straightens her collar, winks, and gives a thumbs-up.

Bec says, LET'S DO THIS!

[Cheerful music plays]

In a backyard, the brown-haired boy narrates, HI! I'M LOREECE AND I'M TEN YEARS OLD AND THIS IS MY LITTLE SISTER, LAUREL.

Laurel joins Loreece and smiles. She wears her long brown hair with a pink bow and a white long-sleeved ruffled blouse.

Loreece narrates, AS WELL AS ART, I LOVE HISTORY, DANCE, AND I LOVE GARDENING WITH MY NANNA. IT'S HER BIRTHDAY TODAY, SO WE'RE GOING TO THROW A PARTY.

Elsewhere in the backyard, Laurel hangs balloons on a triangular garland. At a table with fruit, sandwiches, muffins, and a birthday cake, Loreece stands beside a woman on a laptop, her long brown hair in tight braids.

Loreece narrates, WE'VE EVEN ORDERED HER A SPECIAL GIFT ONLINE.

The long-haired woman says, BUT WE'VE JUST FOUND OUT IT'S GOING TO BE LATE!

Loreece, Laurel and the long-haired woman wail, NO!

Loreece says, BEC, CAN YOU HELP US? WE NEED A PRESENT FOR NANNA RIGHT AWAY!

[Doorbell ringing]

[Laurel gasping]

Laurel says, PHEW! BEC'S HERE.

[Whooshing]

Bec joins Loreece at a craft table and takes off her visor. Loreece wears a blue Makeaway Takeaway apron.

Bec says, HI, LOREECE.

Loreece says, HI, BEC.

Bec says, SO, TELL ME, WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU?

Loreece says, I ORDERED MY NANNA A GIFT ONLINE BUT IT'S NOT COMING IN THE MAIL TODAY AND TODAY'S HER BIRTHDAY, SO I WAS GOING TO ASK YOU, CAN YOU HELP ME MAKE HER SOMETHING, PLEASE?

Bec says, YES, ABSOLUTELY! IN FACT, I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU HOW TO MAKE A NANNA VASE.

[Celebratory music plays]

A homemade vase resembling a black-haired woman with red flower earrings holds pink and yellow flowers.

[Cheering and applause]

At the craft table, Bec says, I'M USING A MILK BOTTLE AND A JUICE CARTON. THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BASE OF THE VASE, SO TAKING THE LID OFF OF THE MILK BOTTLE AND THEN I'M GOING TO TRACE AROUND THE BOTTLE TOP.

Bec draws a circle with a milk bottle lit onto the side of a juice carton with a black marker.

Bec says, A NICE ROUND CIRCLE THERE. AND I'M SCREWING THE LID BACK ON THE BOTTLE NICE AND TIGHTLY, BECAUSE WE DON'T WANT ANY OF THE WATER IN THE VASE TO LEAK OUT, DO WE?

Loreece shakes his head and says, NO.

Bec says, NO! I'M GONNA CUT OUT THIS CIRCLE. I'VE GOT A PAIR OF SCISSORS AND I'M JUST GONNA PUSH THEM THROUGH BUT YOU MIGHT WANT AN ADULT TO HELP YOU.

Bec pushes the tip of a pair of scissors through the middle of the circle and cuts it out.

Bec says, AND JUST, JUST GONNA MAKE SURE THIS HOLE IS BIG ENOUGH FOR THE BOTTLE TO SIT IN.

Bec pushes the top of the milk bottle through the hole.

Bec says, OH, THAT'S GOOD, ISN'T IT?

Loreece says, YES.

Bec says, EXCELLENT! TO TURN THE BOTTLE INTO A VASE, I'M GOING TO PINCH THE END, GIVE IT A LITTLE SNIP, WATCH YOUR FINGERS AND CUT OFF THE END.

Bec pinches a side of the milk bottle. She cuts into the side and cuts off the end of the bottle.

Bec says, AND THERE IS THE START OF YOUR VASE. SHOULD WE TRANSFORM IT INTO YOUR NANNA?

Loreece nods and says, YES.

Bec says, YEAH! WE DON'T WANT THE VASE TO FALL OVER SO WE'RE GOING TO FILL THE BASE WITH SOME SAND AND TO HELP GET THE SAND INTO THE CARTON, I'VE MADE A FUNNEL BY ROLLING UP SOME SCRAP PAPER USING MASKING TAPE. IF I POP THAT THERE. CAN YOU START FILLING IT FOR ME?

Bec holds a paper funnel in the juice carton's hole. Loreece spoons sand from a bowl down the funnel and into the juice carton. Bec shakes the carton and removes the funnel.

Bec says, AND DONE!

Loreece sets the spoon, funnel, and bowl of sand aside.

Bec says, WE WANT TO STICK THE VASE TO THE BASE, SO I'M USING SOME STRONG GLUE. PUTTING A LITTLE BIT AROUND THE EDGES. DON'T NEED TOO MUCH. AND THEN POPPING THAT IN THERE. I COULD PUT MY HAND IN JUST TO MAKE SURE IT'S NICE AND TIGHT.

Bec spreads glue around the hole in the juice carton and slides the top of the milk bottle in. She puts her hand in the bottle and presses it down. Bec takes her hand out and spins the carton around.

Bec says, THAT IS STARTING TO LOOK A BIT MORE LIKE A PERSON.

Loreece says, YES.

Bec points to the handle of the milk bottle and says, THE NOSE.

Bec points to either side of the handle and says, EYES, BUT SHE NEEDS SOME EARS!

Loreece says, FOR SURE.

Bec says, YEAH!

Bec picks up two small pieces of oval-shaped cardboard.

Bec says, I'VE CUT THESE OUT OF SOME CARDBOARD AND ADDED A LITTLE FOLD SO THAT I CAN ATTACH IT. GOING TO USE SOME MASKING TAPE. JUST PUTTING THAT FOLD THERE. GOT ONE EAR. AND STICKING THE OTHER EAR ON.

Bec tapes the folded edges of the cardboard ears to the sides of the milk bottle.

Bec says, IT'S A LOVELY PAIR OF EARS.

Loreece grins.

Bec says, WE'RE GOING TO DO SOME PAPER MÂCHÉ. YOU CAN USE OLD NEWSPAPERS, BUT WE'RE GOING TO USE SOME SCRAP TISSUE PAPER. WE'RE USING TWO PARTS P.V.A., ONE PART WATER, SO IT'S NICE AND RUNNY.

Bec picks up a container of papier mâché mix.

Bec says, LET'S GET STICKING!

Bec and Loreece each grab a small square of white tissue paper.

Bec says, I'M TAKING A STRIP OF THE TISSUE PAPER, I'M DIPPING IT IN AND THEN IF YOU USE YOUR TWO FINGERS LIKE THAT. AND IT'LL GET STICKY.

Bec and Loreece dip this tissue paper in the papier mâché mix. They pull the paper between two fingers and squeeze off the excess mixture.

Bec says, OH, YEAH! YOU'RE USING THE EDGE. VERY CLEVER. AND THEN, YOU CAN START MOULDING IT LIKE THIS.

Bec and Loreece wrap the damp tissue paper around the milk jug head and cardboard ears.

Bec says, THE OTHER NICE THING ABOUT USING PAPER MÂCHÉ IS THAT WE COVER ALL OF THE MASKING TAPE, ALL THE DRAWINGS, AND IT MAKES IT NICE AND SMOOTH AND EASY TO PAINT.

Bec dips another piece of tissue paper into the papier mâché mix.

Bec asks, WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR NANNA, LOREECE?

Loreece says, SHE IS REALLY KIND AND SHE HAS A SOFT HEART.

Bec says, AW, THAT'S REALLY NICE.

Loreece lays a damp piece of tissue paper on the juice carton.

Bec says, YOU'RE GONNA KEEP DOING THIS UNTIL IT'S COMPLETELY COVERED AND THEN LEAVE IT TO DRY.

Bec smooths out pieces of tissue paper on the juice carton. Later, at the table, Be touches the now-white surface.

Bec says, OH, THAT'S DRY NOW.

Loreece touches the carton and says, YEAH.

Bec says, WE'RE GONNA PAINT IT. I WANT IT TO LOOK LIKE YOUR NANNA, SO DO YOU HAVE A PHOTO?

Loreece says, YEP. RIGHT HERE.

Loreece grabs a tablet with a picture of the black-haired woman with red flower earrings who wears a yellow blouse with white polka dots.

Bec says, OH! SHE'S BEAUTIFUL!

Bec takes the tablet from Loreece and says, OH, I LOVE THIS. SHE'S GOT A REALLY NICE YELLOW TOP WITH WHITE POLKA DOTS AND A NICE PAIR OF RED EARRINGS. I THINK WE SHOULD START PAINTING!

Loreece takes the tablet back from Bec and sets it aside.

Loreece says, AMAZING.

Bec says, I'VE GOT SOME YELLOW FOR HER TOP AND LOREECE, YOU'VE GOT SOME LOVELY PAINT THERE SO YOU CAN DO HER FACE.

Loreece nods and says, YES.

Bec and Loreece paint the vase.

Later at the table, Bec says, PAINT'S DRY AND I'VE ADDED SOME DETAILS. YOU CAN SEE THE MOUTH, YOUR EYEBROWS, AND I'M JUST FINISHING OFF THE EYES.

Bec points to the drawn-on mouth and eyebrows on the vase, and adds a finishing touch to the eyes.

Bec says, THIS IS SMILEY.

Loreece watches Bec work.

Bec says, I'M JUST USING A WHITE PEN TO ADD A GLINT.

Bec draws a curved line with a white pen over the brown eyes.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO ADD SOME HAIR, SO I'VE FOLDED UP A BIN LINER.

Bec grabs a folded garbage bag. Loreece moves the vase.

Bec says, OH, THANK YOU, LOREECE.

Bec lays the folded garbage bag across the table lengthwise.

Bec says, AND I'M CUTTING IT INTO STRIPS. I'LL JUST PICK UP THE EDGES. WATCH YOUR FINGERS. JUST CUTTING IT, BUT I'M NOT GOING TO GO ALL THE WAY UP. I'LL STOP JUST ABOUT THERE AND DO THE REST.

Bec grabs a pair of scissors and cuts strips toward the top of the folded garbage bag without cutting all the way through.

Bec says, AND DONE! SO WE CAN STICK THE HAIR TO THE HEAD. I'M USING SOME DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE. BUT YOU COULD ALSO USE A GLUE STICK. JUST LAYING THAT DOWN ACROSS THE TOP. AND JUST PEEL THAT OFF.

Bec places a long strip of double-sided tape across the top of the folded garbage bag.

Bec says, YOU CAN BRING YOUR NANNA VASE BACK IN FOR ME, LOREECE.

Loreece places the vase in the middle of the table.

Loreece says, HERE IT IS.

Bec says, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Loreece says, YOU'RE WELCOME.

Bec wraps the folded garbage bag around the face of the vase. She completely covers the face.

Bec says, IT'S AROUND THE EDGE. STICK IT OVER. WHERE'D SHE GO?

Bec pulls back strips of garbage bag hair.

Bec says, THERE SHE IS. MIGHT NEED A HAIRCUT.

Loreece says, DEFINITELY.

Bec trims strips of the garbage bag hair with scissors.

Bec says, HAIR'S ALL TRIMMED. LET'S ADD THE POLKA DOTS TO HER TOP. LET'S START STICKING.

Bec and Loreece stick white dot stickers around the now-yellow juice carton blouse.

Bec says, BEAUTIFUL! SHE NEEDS SOME EARRINGS.

Loreece nods.

Bec says, LUCKILY, I'VE GOT A LOVELY RED PAIR JUST LIKE HERS. PUT THEM ON. AND THERE WE GO.

Bec pulls out a pair of red flower earrings and sticks them onto the ears of the vase.

Loreece says, IT LOOKS JUST LIKE NANNA.

Bec says, IT DOES! IT'S THE FINAL BIT. PUT SOME WATER IN THE VASE.

Loreece pours water into the vase.

Bec says, GOOD THING WE STREWED THAT CAP ON. SHOULD WE ADD SOME FLOWERS?

Loreece says, YES.

Loreece takes yellow, pink and purple flowers out of a jug.

Bec says, THEY'RE BEAUTIFUL!

Loreece places the flowers in the vase.

Bec says, AH! LOOK AT THAT.

Loreece says, THAT LOOKS COOL.

Bec says, IT DOES LOOK COOL! AND THAT'S YOUR NANNA VASE.

Bec and Loreece look at the finished nanna vase.

Bec narrates, YOU DON'T NEED TO DO ONE OF YOUR GRANDMA. YOU CAN MAKE YOUR GRANDDAD, A FRIEND, OR EVER THE WHOLE FAMILY.

Another vase features a white-haired man with glasses wearing a blue shirt, a third vase shows a black-haired woman wearing a pink floral shirt, and a fourth vase has three heads in one box.

[Cheerful music plays]

In the backyard, Loreece sits at the table with Laurel, the long-haired woman, and his nanna.

Loreece says, HERE'S YOUR PRESENT, NANNA.

Loreece slides the nanna vase across the table.

Loreece’s Nanna says, OH, THAT'S BEAUTIFUL! OH, UNCANNY EARRINGS LIKE MINE. OH, THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH.

Loreece says, THANKS, BEC. YOU'VE SAVED THE DAY!

In Makeaway Takeaway, Bec says, ANOTHER SATISFIED CUSTOMER.

Bec places Loreece’s order ticket in a tray on the back counter.

[Register ding]

At the front counter, Bec grabs a spray bottle with a sock icon on the label. She sprays a bowl of dirty socks and scrunches her nose. Bec picks up a dirty white sock with a pair of tongs.

Bec says, I'M SPRAYING THESE DIRTY SOCKS WITH DIRTY SOCK SPRAY SO THEY DON'T SMELL WHEN MY GRANDMA ARRIVES.

Bec smells the dirty white sock.

Bec says, UH. ACTUALLY, THESE SMELL WORSE THAN BEFORE.

Bec looks at the spray bottle.

Bec says, "USE THIS DIRTY SOCKS SPRAY TO MAKE ALL YOUR THINGS SMELL LIKE DIRTY SOCKS!" OH, WHAT?

[Bec groaning]

Bec drops the dirty white sock back in the bowl and puts down the dirty sock spray.

Bec says, TIME FOR SOME PAPER PUPPETRY.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

[Upbeat music plays]

On a large notepad on an easel, Bec moves a paper lever behind a drawing of a jar of maple syrup and a stack of pancakes so that the syrup looks like it is being poured over the pancakes.

Bec narrates, NOW, LET'S SEE HOW IT'S DONE!

The other side of the notepad reveals the lever raising and lowering a piece of yellow paper behind a clear cutout shaped like syrup drizzle between an identical drawing of the pancake stack.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

In Makeaway Takeaway, Bec dusts the back counter. She knocks a piece of crumpled purple tissue paper off the counter and take-out cups off the top of a fridge.

[Clattering]

Balls of grey fluff fall off the fridge.

Bec says, AH. WHOA! THIS DUST IS MASSIVE!

Bec picks up the fluff balls and frowns.

Bec says, HANG ON. THIS ISN'T DUST. THESE ARE POM POMS! I'D WONDERED WHERE THESE HAD GOTTEN TO. I THINK IT'S TIME FOR A MEGA MINI MAKE.

[Paint splattering]

[Gentle music plays]

Bec takes a seat at the small Mega Mini Make table on the other side of the room with a pile of supplies that include a ball of grey wool, a black marker, a pen, a bottle cap, two small square pieces of thin cardboard and a roll of masking tape.

Bec says, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE SOME POM-POM PUP PENCIL TOPPERS. I'VE GOT TWO PIECES TO CARD THAT I'VE CUT OUT FROM A CEREAL BOX. AND I WANT TO TURN THEM INTO DISKS. SO I'M USING THIS TAPE TO DRAW AROUND.

Bec draws a circle using the inside of the roll of masking tape over one of the square cards and the black marker.

Bec says, I'M TRACING AROUND A BOTTLE TOP LID.

Bec traces a smaller circle inside the big circle with the bottle cap.

Bec says, NOW, I'VE GOT MY SHAPE. I CAN START CUTTING. I AM CUTTING AROUND THE OUTSIDE AND ALSO THE CENTRE.

Bec cuts the big circle out of the square. She cuts one line through the big circle and cuts out the small circle.

Bec says, MY FIRST ONE IS CUT OUT SO I'M GONNA USE IT AS A TEMPLATE SO THAT THE OTHER ONE IS EXACTLY THE SAME.

Bec traces the now donut-shaped card cutout onto the second square card.

Bec says, DON'T WORRY ABOUT CUTTING IT TOO NEATLY. IT DOESN'T NEED TO BE PERFECT.

Bec cuts out a second donut shape.

Bec says, I'M GONNA PUT THEM TOGETHER. THIS IS GOING TO MAKE OUR POM-POM.

Bec puts the donut shapes together and grabs the wool.

Bec says, I'M USING A GREY WOOL BECAUSE I WANT A GREY DOG. AND I'M GONNA WRAP IT ALL THE WAY AROUND. AND KEEP GOING UNTIL THERE'S NO HOLE LEFT IN THE MIDDLE.

Bec wraps the strand of wool around the donut-shaped cards until they are completely covered with no space in the centre.

Bec says, AND DONE! NEXT, I'M GOING TO SLIDE MY SCISSORS BETWEEN THE TWO PIECES OF CARD. THEN START CUTTING.

Bec cuts through the wool along the outer edge of the card.

Bec says, THIS IS GOING TO BE A LOVELY, FLUFFY PUP. LAST BIT. MAKE SURE YOU HOLD IT TIGHTLY SO YOUR POM-POM DOESN'T FALL APART. BECAUSE YOU'RE GONNA TAKE YOUR WOOL AND WRAP IT IN BETWEEN THOSE TWO BITS OF CARD THERE.

Bec wraps the strand of wool between the two donut-shaped pieces of card.

Bet says, TIE A NICE, STRONG KNOT AND ONCE YOU'VE DONE THAT, YOU CAN CAREFULLY SLIDE OFF THOSE CARDBOARD TEMPLATES.

Bec ties a knot and pulls out the cardboard. She fluffs her finished pom-pom.

Bec says, GIVE IT A LITTLE BIT OF A TRIM AND I'M GOING TO CONNECT IT TO MY PENCIL.

Bec trims excess wool off the pom-pom and grabs a pencil with a piece of tack on the end.

Bec says, I'VE POPPED SOME TACK ON THE END OF MY PENCIL TO WORK AS A STOPPER. NOW, I'M JUST GOING TO PUSH MY PENCIL THROUGH MY POM-POM UNTIL IT GETS TO THE END. THE TACK WILL STOP THE POM-POM FROM FALLING OFF.

Bec pushes the pencil through the pom-pom.

Bec says, NOW, OUR DOG JUST NEEDS A FACE! I'M DRAWING A NOSE AND A MOUTH.

Bec draws a dog nose and mouth on a small square piece of thin grey cardboard.

Bec says, I'M GONNA CUT MY PIECE OF CARD.

Bec cuts out the dog mouth and nose.

Bec says, AND HERE'S MY EYES AND EARS THAT I DID EARLIER, AND I JUST NEED TO STICK THEM ON. I'M ATTACHING MINE WITH DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE, BUT YOU COULD ALSO USE STRONG GLUE.

Bec tapes her dog eyes, nose, mouth and ears onto the pom-pom with double-sided tape.

Bec says, AND I THINK I'M GOING TO CALL THIS ONE KEITH.

Bec holds up the pencil and says, AND THERE YOU HAVE IT. YOUR POM-POM PUP PENCIL TOPPER. I'LL POP IT WITH THE OTHERS.

Bec puts her pom-pom pup pencil in a takeout cup with a white pom-pom pup pencil and a tiny, black pom-pom pup pencil.

Bec says, MY GRANDMA WILL LOVE THESE.

[Dogs barking and yipping]

[Paint splattering]

Later in Makeaway Takeaway, Bec dusts the second fridge.

Bec says, NEARLY CLEAN!

Bec frowns at a ball of paper on the front counter and knocks it away with her duster.

[Ringing]

[Bec gasping]

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

A girl wearing curly black hair in buns, and black overalls over a pink T-shirt appears on the order screen.

The black-haired girl says, IT'S THE MAKE OF THE DAY! HI, BEC. MY NAME'S AMARA AND I'M FROM BIRMINGHAM.

Bec says, HI, AMARA! THANKS FOR CALLING MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY.

Amara asks, WHAT CAN YOU MAKE OUT THESE THREE INGREDIENTS? A PLASTIC SALAD POT? SOME PAPER STRAWS? AND OUT OF DATE PASTA?

The conveyor belt starts moving, and plastic plates appear with Amara’s ingredients. A square plastic container appears on a yellow plate, purple paper straws appear on an orange plate, and macaroni noodles appear on a purple plate.

Bec says, HMM. TELL ME, AMARA. IF YOU COULD BE ANYTHING IN THE WORLD, WHAT WOULD YOU BE?

Amara says, I'D BE A STINGING NETTLE BECAUSE I LIKE TO GIVE PEOPLE ITCHY SPOTS.

Bec says, OH, WELL, REMIND ME TO WEAR GLOVES IF WE EVER HIGH-FIVE.

[Amara laughing]

Bec says, LET'S SEE. STINGING NETTLES, LEAVES, PLANTS.

[Dinging]

Bec says, OH, YES! I'VE GOT IT. ONE MAKE OF THE DAY COMING RIGHT UP.

Amara says, THANKS, BEC!

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

Bec steps behind the front counter with her craft supplies laid out, including a square piece of cardboard, paintbrushes, string, tape, paint, strips of colourful paper and Amara’s Make of the Day ingredients.

Bec says, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE A TERRARIUM USING AMARA'S INGREDIENTS.

[Celebratory music plays]

A hanging terrarium made of Amara’s ingredients holds colourful paper plants.

[Cheering and applause]

Bec says, WITH MY SALAD POT, I'M GOING TO PLACE IT UPSIDE DOWN ON A PIECE OF CARD THAT I CUT OUT FROM AN OLD BOX, AND I'M GOING TO TRACE AROUND IT, AND THEN I'M GOING TO CUT IT OUT. I'M CUTTING ON THE INSIDE OF THE LINE THAT I DREW BECAUSE I WANT MY PIECE OF CARD TO SIT NEATLY AT THE TOP OF MY SALAD POT.

Bec places the square top of the plastic container on a corner of the cardboard, traces the two edges on the board with a black marker, and cuts out the square.

Bec says, LET'S HAVE A LOOK.

Bec places the square piece of cardboard over the top of the plastic container.

Bec says, THAT IS WHAT I'M AFTER. I'M GOING TO MAKE SOME SOIL FOR MY TERRARIUM USING MY SECOND INGREDIENT, WHICH IS THE OUT-OF-DATE MACARONI. I'VE GOT SOME P.V.A. GLUE HERE AND I'M KEEPING THE MIDDLE SECTION CLEAR BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE MY PLANTS ARE GOING TO GO.

Bec paints glue along the edges of the cardboard square.

Bec says, AND NOW I'M JUST GOING TO POP MY MACARONI AROUND THE EDGE. I LIKE MACARONI BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE TINY RAINBOWS.

Bec places macaroni noodles over the glue.

Bec says, DONE! I'M GOING TO PUT THIS TO THE SIDE TO DRY, AND WHILE IT DOES, I'M GONNA GET MY SALAD POT AND START PAINTING IT. I'VE MIXED SOME PAINT WITH P.V.A. SO IT STICKS TO THE PLASTIC.

Bec paints the inside of the plastic container dark brown.

Bec says, I'M GONNA PUT THAT ASIDE TO DRY. THE MACARONI IS DRY, SO I'M GOING TO PAINT THIS BROWN TOO. AND THIS IS GOING TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE STONES AND PEBBLES.

Bec paints the square piece of cardboard and now-dry macaroni noodles dark brown.

Bec says, WHILE THAT DRIES, I'M GONNA MAKE MY PLANTS. I'VE GOT SOME STRIPS OF PAPER HERE. I'M GOING TO MAKE THIS PLANT HAVE REAL LONG, SPIKEY LEAVES.

Bec cuts spikey grass-like triangles into a strip of light green paper.

Bec says, AND I'M ROLLING MY STRIP OF PAPER ALL THE WAY FROM THE END. TAPE THAT DOWN.

Bec rolls the strip of green paper and taps it.

Bec says, USING ONE OF THE STRAWS THAT AMARA SENT ME, I'M GOING TO ROLL THE LEAVES DOWN ON MY PLANT.

Bec curls the triangular leaves on the rolled-up paper over a purple paper straw.

Bec says, AND USE THE OTHER COLOURS TO MAKE A FEW OTHER PLANTS.

Bec grabs a pink and yellow plant made of paper.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO STICK MY PLANTS TO MY BASE.

Bec dips the bottom of the paper plants in P.V.C. glue and sticks them onto the brown cardboard base.

Bec says, AND AGAIN, I'M JUST GOING TO PUT THAT ASIDE TO DRY.

Bec sets the base aside and grabs the now-dry plastic container.

Bec says, MY SALAD BOWL IS READY! I WANT TO PUT SOME HOLES IN THE CORNER HERE SO I'VE GOT SOME MODELLING CLAY AND WITH A BAMBOO STICK, I'M GOING TO MAKE THE HOLES. MAKE SURE YOU WATCH YOUR FINGERS!

Bec places a corner of the container on a piece of pink modelling clay. She pushes the pointed end of a bamboo skewer through the corner into the clay, and she pokes holes through the other three corners.

Bec says, I'VE GOT FOUR EQUAL LENGTHS OF STRING WITH A KNOT AT THE END.

Bec holds up a white string with a knot on one end.

Bec says, I'M USING THE SAME STICK TO THREAD THE STRING THROUGH THE HOLES I MADE.

With the string wrapped around the bamboo skewer, Bec pushes the skewer through the holes in the corners so the knot is underneath. She grabs her flower base.

Bec says, YOU KNOW HOW WE MADE IT SO IT FITS IN.

Bec places the flower base on the plastic container.

Bec says, IT'S REALLY COMING ALONG NOW AND USING MY FINAL INGREDIENT, MY PAPER STRAWS.

Bec holds up a purple paper straw.

Bec says, USING THE STICK, I'M GOING TO WRAP THE STRING AROUND THE END AND THEN FEED MY SKEWER ALL THE WAY TO THE OTHER SIDE.

Bec wraps one of the strings on the plastic container around the skewer. She slides the skewer through the paper straws and pulls the skewer through.

Bec says, WRAP IT AROUND. STICK IT IN.

Bec wraps another string around the skewer.

Bec pushes the skewer through a straw and says, WHOO-WA!

Bec pulls the skewer free.

Bec says, AND REPEAT FOR THE OTHER CORNERS.

Bec gathers all four strings and holds them up over the paper plants in one hand.

Bec says, BRING UP THE ENDS! I'M JUST PUTTING A BIG KNOT IN THE END THERE AND I'M GOING TO DECORATE IT WITH THIS LOVELY BEAD.

Bec ties the strings together with a knot over the four straws. She pushes the strings above the knot through a large green bead with the skewer.

Bec says, ONE MORE KNOT.

Bec ties another knot and holds up the completed Make of the Day terrarium.

Bec says, AND THERE YOU HAVE IT. A TERRARIUM! WHILE I PACKAGE THIS UP FOR AMARA, CHECK OUT THESE IDEAS.

[Whooshing]

[Upbeat music plays]

Another terrarium with yellow paper straws features blue and purple paper flowers.

Bec says, IF YOU HAVE OTHER CONTAINERS IN YOUR RECYCLING, YOU COULD MAKE A JAZZY POT.

Colourful beads decorate the strings on a third terrarium with a paper succulent.

Bec says, OR HOW ABOUT ONE LIKE THIS USING LEFTOVER BEADS?

At Makeaway Takeaway, Bec slides a take-out bag onto a platform in the delivery hatch in the wall.

Bec says, COMING YOUR WAY, AMARA. ONE BLOOMING, MARVELLOUS TERRARIUM.

Bec presses a button beside the hatch, and the platform rises.

[Paint splattering]

At Amara’s house, Amara takes the terrarium out of a bag.

Amara says, WHOA! THIS IS REALLY NICE. THANKS, BEC! I LOVE IT!

At Makeaway Takeaway, Bec says, ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER.

Bec gives a thumbs up.

[Cheerful music plays]

At Makeaway Takeaway, Bec holds up the vacuum nozzle. She points toward a pile of dirt and dust on the table.

Bec says, JUST ONE LAST BIT TO DO BEFORE –

[Bell ringing]

A woman with curly grey hair and glasses walks in wearing a white cardigan and a floral dress.

Bec says, GRANDMA!

Bec’s Grandma says, BEC! WOW! THE TAKEAWAY LOOKS SPOTLESS!

Bec says, ALMOST! JUST GOT TO GET THIS BIT DONE.

Bec turns on the vacuum.

[Vacuum whirring loudly]

The vacuum nozzle shakes in Bec’s hand.

Bec says, OH, NO! I PUT IT IN REVERSE!

Dust billows out of the vacuum.

[Paint splattering]

Dust explodes out of the vacuum and covers Bec’s Grandma.

Bec says, SO SORRY, GRANDMA! ARE YOU OKAY?

Dust stains Bec’s Grandma’s cardigan.

[Bec’s Grandma laughing]

Bec’s Grandma says, OH, THIS IS WHY I LOVE VISITING YOU, BEC. I ALWAYS HAVE SO MUCH FUN!

[Ringing]

Bec’s Grandma says, OH, THERE'S YOUR BANANA PHONE.

Bec cheers, YAY! A COSTUMER!

Bec runs to the table on the other side of the room and grabs the banana phone.

Bec answers a call and says, YOU'VE REACHED THE MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY BANANA HOTLINE.

On the other end of the phone, a girl with her long brown hair in pigtails wears a dark blue blazer over a white collared shirt and blue tie.

The brown-haired girl says, HEY, BEC. IT'S MATILDA. I WAS WONDERING IF YOU COULD DELIVER AN ART SURPRISE FOR OUR ART TEACHER.

Bec says, OF COURSE! I CAN'T WAIT!

Bec ends the call and puts down the banana phone.

Bec says, TIME TO SPLIT. SEE YOU LATER, GRANDMA!

In a school art class, students paint at their desks. A teacher with curly brown hair, bangs, and glasses wears a long, dark grey blazer over a brown-patterned dress. Bec looks around in a hallway, wearing her visor and craft tool belt. Matilda runs into the hallway with two other students.

Matilda says, BEC!

Bec says, OH, HI! MATILDA?

Matilda says, YEAH!

Bec says, ARE WHO ARE YOUR FRIENDS?

Matilda says, REEM AND IZZY.

Reem has short black hair, and Izzy wears her long red hair in braided pigtails. They are wearing school uniforms that match Matilda’s blazer and tie.

Bec says, OH, COOL! WHO AM I SURPRISING TODAY?

Izzy says, OUR ART TEACHER, MISS BALDWIN.

Bec says, AH! WHY DO I NEED TO SURPRISE MISS BALDWIN?

Matilda says, BECAUSE SHE'S JUST REALLY CREATIVE AND LOVES ART.

Bec says, OH, COOL!

Reem says, ALSO SHE TEACHES US ABOUT LOTS OF AMAZING ARTISTS LIKE VAN GOGH AND JACKSON POLLOCK.

Bec says, JACKSON POLLOCK! YES! THAT GIVES ME A GREAT IDEA. JACKSON POLLOCK USED TO HAVE THIS TECHNIQUE CALLED "ACTION PAINTING", SO I THINK WE'RE IN FOR A SPLATTY SURPRISE. LET'S MAKE SOME ART!

Bec runs down the hallway with Matilda, Izzy and Reem. In the art class, the brown-haired woman, Miss Baldwin, walks around. Outside on the soccer field, Bec, Matilda, Izzy and Reem run over to different stencils across a large white tarp. They all wear blue coveralls. Bec, Izzy and Reem carry water pistols.

Bec says, LET'S CREATE AN ACTION SPLATTER PAINTING INSPIRED BY JACKSON POLLOCK! BUT WE'RE DOING IT 21ST-CENTURY STYLE!

Bec puts on safety glasses and passes Matilda her water pistol.

Bec says, GO FOR IT!

Wearing safety glasses, Matilda, Izzy and Reem spray the stencils with paint from their water pistols. Matilda sprays orange paint, Izzy sprays green paint, and Reem sprays yellow paint.

[Paint spraying]

[Matilda giggling]

Izzy and Reem grin.

Bec says, I'VE MADE SOME TEMPLATES FOR SPLATTING. WE'LL PUT THESE TOGETHER LATER TO REVEAL A COLOURFUL CREATURE.

Bec splatters the stencils with paint from a water pistol. She, Matilda, Izzy and Reem grab spray bottles and spray the stencils with different colours.

[Spraying]

Matilda holds her paint-stained hand.

[Matilda giggling]

Bec, Matilda, Izzy and Reem cover the different-shaped stencils with paint sprayed from the water pistols and spray bottles.

Bec asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THAT?

Matilda says, THAT WAS AMAZING!

Izzy says, IT WAS REALLY FUN.

Reem says, IT'S COOL, BUT WHAT IS IT SUPPOSED TO BE?

Bec says, ALL WILL BE REVEALED. YOU GUYS GO AND GET CHANGED AND GRAB YOUR TEACHER, AND I'M GOING TO HANG THIS UP ON THE WALL.

[Upbeat music plays]

On a white wall, the colourful stencils reveal a chameleon.

Bec narrates, I'VE ASSEMBLED THE SPRAYED STENCILS ON THE WALL LIKE A GIANT JIGSAW PUZZLE.

Bec stands by the wall in her coveralls. Miss Baldwin stands with Matilda, Izzy and Reem with her hands over her eyes.

Matilda says, MISS BALDWIN, WE JUST WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING AN AMAZING ART TEACHER. TAKE A LOOK!

Miss Baldwin uncovers her eyes and looks at the large chameleon.

Miss Baldwin says, OH, WOW! THAT'S INCREDIBLE! LOOK AT ALL THE LAYERS AND THE SPATTERING AND THE SPLATTERS!

Bec asks, MISS BALDWIN, ARE YOU PROUD OF YOUR STUDENTS?

Miss nods and Baldwin says, YES.

Bec asks, DID YOU HAVE FUN MAKING IT?

Giggling, Matilda says, YES!

Izzy says, YES.

Reem says, YES!

Other students from Miss Baldwin’s art class look at the chameleon.

[Students chattering]

Standing behind the students, Bec says, THAT'S ANOTHER BRILLIANT DAY OF DELIVERING ART TO YOUR DOOR. SEE YOU NEXT TIME ON…

Miss Baldwin and the students all turn and say with Bec, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!
