[Doorbell ringing, energetic music plays, whistling, doorbell ringing]

In an animation, a takeout restaurant has a countertop with jars of paint and a box of paintbrushes. Jars and cups with art supplies fill two coolers by a drink machine. A menu features pictures of food, brushes, paint, scissors, and condiment bottles. Live-action video clips show Bec Hill, in her mid-thirties, holding her staff card. She has curly pink hair. She speaks on a banana-shaped telephone and sifts flour. In the animation, straws, paint bottles, sunglasses, and drinks move on a conveyor belt. In a live-action video clip, children paint.

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Lively music plays, thumping]

In live action, Bec stands behind the counter at Makeaway Takeaway. She wears a chef’s hat, a yellow shirt, blue shorts, and a blue apron with suspenders. Some batter falls off a stirring stick and lands on a baking tray.

Bec says, HI, I'M BEC, AND WELCOME TO MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY! DON'T MIND ME, JUST HAVING A BIT OF A CAKE-TASTROPHE. CHECK OUT TODAY'S MENU WHILE I GET BAKING.

[Whooshing, zooming, splattering]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

Video footage shows Bec attaching tissue paper to a paper, a young girl with pigtails taking a radio away from a black-haired girl lying on a bed, and Bec posing with a water jet sprayer. Three children behind her each hold a hand to their chin.
Bec narrates, COMING UP ON TODAY'S SHOW...A TECHNIQUE THAT SHINES A LIGHT ON MAKING A PICTURE WITHOUT PAINT, I GET A CALL FROM A CUSTOMER WHOSE LITTLE SISTER IS CAUSING A BIG AMOUNT OF BOTHER, AND WE DELIVER A SPLASHY SURPRISE FOR A GREEN THUMBED TEACHER.

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Playful music plays]

At the counter, Bec says, PERFECT PENNY FROM DOWN THE ROAD DOESN'T THINK THAT MY CAKES ARE... HOW DOES SHE PUT IT?

[Needle scratching record]

Bec continues, EDIBLE. SO, I CHALLENGED HER TO A BAKE-OFF. PROBLEM IS I DON'T KNOW ONE END OF A ROLLING PIN FROM THE OTHER.

[Crickets chirping]

Bec looks at a rolling pin.

Bec says, OH, THEY'RE BOTH THE SAME.

[Trumpet note plays, chiming, whooshing, hands slapping]

Bec picks up the baking tray, leans beneath the counter, and wipes her hands against each other.

Bec says, POP THESE IN THE OVEN. WHAT TO DO WHILE I'M WAITING.

[Energetic music plays, slide whistle]

Bec says, I KNOW. A TAKEAWAY TECHNIQUE!

[Whooshing, scissors snipping, lively music plays]

In an animation, scissors cut across a yellow screen. In live action, Bec sits at a table with a large piece of paper, scissors, a bowl of P.V.A., brushes and ripped tissue paper.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A PICTURE OF ROCKS, A LIGHTHOUSE, AND THE OCEAN, USING TORN UP PIECES OF TISSUE PAPER. LET'S START DRAWING.

Bec draws the lighthouse with rocks around the base.

Bec says, THERE'S A LIGHTHOUSE. SOME ROCKS.

Bec draws lines at the top of the lighthouse. She brushes P.V.A. over her drawing.

Bec says, AND A BEAM OF LIGHT. COMPLETELY COVER YOUR PAPER WITH WATERED DOWN P.V.A. MAY NEED TO POP SOME NEWSPAPER DOWN BEFORE YOU DO THIS. THE REASON IT'S WATERED DOWN IS SO THAT IT DOESN'T DRY BEFORE YOU PUT YOUR TISSUE PAPER ON IT. ONCE YOUR PAPER IS COMPLETELY COVERED IN P.V.A., YOU CAN START GLUEING ON YOUR TISSUE PAPER.

Bec puts red tissue paper on the lighthouse roof and brushes P.V.A. over it. She adds another layer of red tissue and puts a row of red beneath the light.

[Mellow music plays]

Bec says, LAY IT DOWN DRY. YOU CAN ALSO ADD A LITTLE BIT OF P.V.A. ON TOP. DO THAT A FEW TIMES, COVER UP MY PENCIL MARKS.

Bec adds another red section near the base of the lighthouse.

Bec says, DON'T WORRY IF IT GETS MESSY OR IF THE COLOURS START BLEEDING, IT ALL ADDS TO THE EFFECT.

Bec puts yellow tissue paper around the light.

Bec says, I'M USING THESE LONG BITS TO MAKE THE BEAMS. THE DIFFERENT LAYERS GIVE IT A PAINTING EFFECT.

[Upbeat music plays]

Bec brushes P.V.A. over the yellow tissue paper. She puts blue tissue paper above and below the yellow.

Bec says, TIME TO ADD THE SKY. I'M USING A LIGHT BLUE BUT YOU COULD ALSO USE A DARK BLUE IF IT'S AT NIGHT. START ON THE ROCKS NEXT.

Bec puts pale brown tissue paper over her drawing of rocks and brushes P.V.A. over it.

Bec says, THE LAYERING GIVES AN ILLUSION OF SHADOWS ON THE ROCKS. TIME TO DO THE SEA. ANOTHER TOP TIP - TAKE YOUR STRIPS OF BLUE AND GREEN FOR THE SEA, FOLD, SCRUNCH AND STICK TO CREATE MOVEMENT.

Bec uses different shades of blue and green tissue pieces. She folds some strips, scrunches others slightly, and attaches them to the paper. Bec brushes P.V.A. over the sea.

Bec says, I'VE ADDED LOTS OF DIFFERENT GREENS AND BLUES TO CREATE MY SEA. AND I'VE FOLDED THEM OVER TO GIVE THE OCEAN SOME TEXTURE. SEE? LOOKS LIKE THE WAVES ARE CRASHING ON THE ROCKS. ONCE IT'S ALL COVERED, IT'S TIME TO WAIT FOR IT TO DRY.

[Slide whistle, splattering, upbeat music plays, marker scratching]

Bec outlines the lighthouse with a black marker. She outlines the light and rocks.

Bec says, IT'S DRY! LET'S ADD SOME DETAILS! I'M GOING TO TAKE MY THICK PEN AND START ON THE LIGHTHOUSE. DO MY ROCKS. WITH A THINNER FELT TIP ADD THE REST OF THE DETAILS.

Bec draws curved letter M’s in the sky resembling birds.

Bec says, FINALLY, I'M GOING TO ADD SOME BIRDS. AND THERE YOU HAVE YOUR PICTURE MADE WITH TORN PIECES OF TISSUE PAPER.

[Splattering, banging, upbeat music plays]

In an animation, paint splatters. In live action, Bec stands behind the counter and hits her cakes with the rolling pin.

Bec says, UGH, THIS BAKING LARK IS AS HARD AS MY ROCK CAKES.

[Banging, alert chiming, whirring, paper rustling, upbeat music plays]

Bec hits her cakes with the rolling pin. A piece of paper prints beneath a circular screen.

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

On the screen, the black-haired girl waves.

The black-haired girl says, HELLO, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY! BEC, I NEED YOUR HELP. I LOVE COLLECTING TREASURES AND I WANT TO KEEP THEM SOMEWHERE SAFE. CAN YOU HELP ME WITH A MAKE TO KEEP MY LITTLE SISTER AWAY FROM MY PRECIOUS THINGS?

Bec says, I CERTAINLY CAN, I KNOW JUST THE THING. ONE ARTY DELIVERY COMING RIGHT UP.

[Whooshing, cartoonish running, tires screeching, cartoonish running continues, energetic music plays, whistling, whooshing, chiming]

Bec runs, stops, removes her chef’s hat, and puts it on the counter. She jumps into a comic panel, ties her shoelaces, and straightens her socks. Then, she snaps her suspenders, puts on a hat, and fastens a belt with dangling markers around her waist. Bec winks and gives a thumbs-up.

Bec says, LET'S DO THIS!

[Zooming, upbeat music plays]

Bec runs out of the comic panel. At home, the black-haired girl and the girl with pigtails play with stuffies.

The black-haired girl says, HELLO, MY NAME IS MAO-SAN AND THIS IS MY LITTLE SISTER MARLEE. WHEN I GROW UP...

[Inspiring music plays, wind gusting]

In her bedroom, the black-haired girl, Mao-San, poses wearing a toque, a scarf, gloves, and a heavy backpack.

Mao-San continues, I'D LIKE TO HAVE LOTS OF ADVENTURES AND TRAVEL THE WORLD, GO TO AMAZING PLACES LIKE ANTARCTICA.

[Teeth chattering, upbeat music plays, whooshing]

Mao-San crosses her arms and rubs her hands over her biceps. She wears a stethoscope and holds a clipboard. Mao-San holds the stethoscope against Marlee’s chest. Later, Mao-San listens to her radio in bed, and Marlee takes it.

Mao-San says, I'D ALSO LIKE TO BE A DOCTOR. MY SISTER AND I GET ON, BUT SHE'S ALWAYS BORROWING MY THINGS WITHOUT ASKING ME! UGH! AND IT CAN BE SO ANNOYING.

[Marlee giggling]

Mao-San says, BEC, CAN YOU COME UP WITH A MAKE TO KEEP MY THINGS SAFE?

[Doorbell ringing]

Mao-San says, BEC'S HERE!

[Whooshing, scissors snipping, upbeat music plays]

In an animation, scissors cut across a yellow screen. In live action, Bec and Mao-San stand in an art studio beside a table.

Bec says, HI MAO-SAN!

Mao-San says, HI.

Bec asks, HOW CAN I HELP?

Mao-San replies, WELL, MY SISTER, SHE KEEPS TAKING MY THINGS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, WHICH IS REALLY ANNOYING.

Bec nods and says, MM.

Mao-San says, SO, I NEED SOMETHING TO KEEP MY PRECIOUS STUFF SAFE.

Bec says, YES, YOU NEED SOMETHING SECRET, SOMETHING SAFE. LIKE A SECRET SAFE PICTURE FRAME.

[Cheering, triumphant music plays, splattering, upbeat music plays]

A golden frame displays a picture of flowers. In an animation, paint splatters on the frame. In live action, Bec and Mao-San stand by the table.

Bec says, FIRST, I'VE GOT A LARGE PIECE OF CARDBOARD AND A BIG CEREAL BOX THAT I'VE TAKEN OUT OF MY RECYCLING. JUST PUTTING THE BOX IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CARD, AND THEN I'M DRAWING AROUND IT. AROUND HERE.

Bec traces the cereal box shape onto the cardboard.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO HOLD ONTO THIS 'CAUSE WE'RE GOING TO USE IT LATER.

[Rustling]

Bec puts the cereal box to the side and uses a ruler to draw a smaller rectangle inside the traced cereal box line.

Bec says, I'M JUST GOING TO DRAW A SMALLER RECTANGLE 2CM IN FROM THE EDGES. OKAY. GOT THE INSIDE OF OUR FRAME, NOW TO DO THE OUTSIDE. WHAT SORT OF FRAME WOULD YOU LIKE THIS TO BE?

Mao-San says, UM, FANCY AND MAYBE A LITTLE BIT WAVY.

Bec says, OOH, FANCY AND WAVY, I LOVE IT. OKAY. I'LL DO SOME BIG WAVES UP HERE. IS THAT WHAT YOU MEANT? GOOD.

[Marker scratching, humming]

Bec draws a wavy line around the outline of the frame.

Bec says, DONE. I'M GOING TO CUT IT OUT.

[Scissors snipping, upbeat music continues]

Bec cuts along the wavy line.

Mao-San says, OOH.

[Rustling]

Bec moves the cut-out cardboard scraps and puts a rolled-up newspaper page on the frame. She and Mao-San brush P.V.A. on the inside of the frame around the picture opening.

Bec says, I WANT TO MAKE THE FRAME 3-D, SO I ROLLED UP SOME NEWSPAPER TO STICK ON THE INSIDE OF THE FRAME. WE'RE JUST ADDING SOME P.V.A. OKAY. AND STICK THE NEWSPAPER ROLLS AROUND THE EDGE. DO YOU WANT TO STICK THAT ONE ON THERE?

Mao-San and Bec put four newspaper rolls around the picture opening.

Bec says, THERE WE GO. TO EMBELLISH THE OUTSIDE OF THE FRAME WE'VE GOT THESE LONG BITS OF NEWSPAPER, WE'RE GOING TO SCRUNCH THEM UP INTO LONG SAUSAGES.

Mao-San says, OKAY.

[Paper crumpling, rustling, upbeat music continues]

Bec and Mao-San scrunch log pieces of newspaper and swordfight with them.

Bec says, EN GARDE.

Bec pretends Mao-San stabbed her in the stomach.

Bec says, UGH!

Mao-San says, AH-HA!

Bec says, TIME TO STICK THEM DOWN!

Mao-San says, YES.

Bec says, YEAH! BLOB IT ON NICE AND THICK AROUND THE EDGES.

[Mao-San imitating popping]

Mao-San and Bec brush on P.V.A.

Bec asks, IS THAT YOU DOING THE SOUND OF IT?

Mao-San replies, YEAH.

[Giggling]

Bec asks, DO YOU OFTEN DO SOUNDS?

Mao-San replies, YEAH.

Bec asks, WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE ONE?

Mao-San replies, MY FAVOURITE ONE WOULD BE THE SHEEP ONE.

Bec asks, CAN YOU DO A SHEEP FOR ME?

[Mao-San imitating sheep bleating]

Bec’s jaw drops.

Bec says, THAT WAS INCREDIBLE.

Mao-San says, THANK YOU.

Bec asks, THINK WE'RE READY TO STICK?

Mao-San says, YEAH.

Bec and Mao-San attach their scrunched-up newspaper to the wavy edge of the frame.

Bec says, YEAH! MAKE THOSE WAVY SHAPES. GOOD WORK. OKAY. I'VE GOT THESE LONG BITS OF TIN FOIL THAT I'VE SCRUNCHED UP. IF WE JUST PUT THIS ALONG HERE, WE CAN MAKE SOME NICE WAVES.

[Tinfoil crinkling]

Mao-San and Bec each put a wavy piece of tinfoil between the frame's wavy edge and the picture opening. They then bend small pieces into moustache shapes for the top and bottom.

Bec says, YEAH, THAT LOOKS NICE. WE'VE GOT SOME SHORTER ONES HERE, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE THEM LOOK LIKE MOUSTACHES. YOU BEND THEM IN THE MIDDLE, OH. AND THEN WE WANT TO GIVE OUR MOUSTACHES NICE CURLY EDGES.

Bec holds her tinfoil moustache under her nose.

Bec says, I'M SO FANCY.

[Mao-San giggling]

Bec says, THESE GIVE OUR FRAME SOME LOVELY SWIRLY DETAILS.

[Mao-San mumbles]

Bec says, LET'S STICK THESE IN!

[Splattering, upbeat music plays]

In an animation, paint drips over the frame. In live action, Bec and Mao-San dip newspaper strips into bowls of P.V.A. mix and put them on the frame.

Bec says, OUR TIN FOIL'S ALL STUCK DOWN, IT'S TIME TO PAPIER MÂÂCHÉ! WE'VE GOT TWO PARTS P.V.A. WITH ONE PART WATER SO IT'S NICE AND RUNNY. SO, GRAB A STRIP OF NEWSPAPER, DIP IT IN THE P.V.A. MIX. NICE!

Mao-San says, NAH, MY HANDS! I'M KINDA HAPPY THAT I'M MESSY.

Bec says, WE'RE GOING TO KEEP COVERING THIS WITH PAPIER MÂÂCHÉ AND THEN LEAVE IT TO DRY.

[Slide whistle, splattering, upbeat music plays]

In an animation, paint covers the frame. In live action, Mao-San leans on the table beside the frame.

Bec says, IT'S DRY! TIME TO PAINT!

Mao-San says, YES!

Bec says, WE'VE GOT SOME GOLD PAINT.

Mao-San says, OOH.

Bec says, YOU COULD USE ANY COLOUR YOU LIKE.

Mao-San and Bec paint the frame gold.

Mao-San says, IT LOOKS LIKE MELTED GOLD.

Bec says, OH YEAH, IT DOES.

[Giggling]

Bec says, WHEN YOU'RE FINISHED PAINTING LEAVE IT TO DRY.

[Slide whistle, splattering, upbeat music plays]

In an animation, paint covers the frame. In live action, the frame gleams on the table.

Bec says, IT'S READY! AND I'VE EVEN ADDED SOME SHADING. NOW I'VE DONE THE FRAME, IT'S TIME TO MAKE THE SAFE TO PUT OUR PRECIOUS THINGS IN.

[Upbeat music plays]

Bec picks up the cereal box.

Bec asks, REMEMBER THE CEREAL BOX FROM EARLIER? WE'RE GOING TO TURN THIS INTO THE SAFE.

Mao-San says, YES.

Bec says, SO, THIS WOULD BE THE BACK. AND I WANT A HOLE SO WE CAN HANG UP OUR FRAME.

Bec traces the end of a glue stick near the top of the cereal box.

Bec says, I'M USING THE GLUE STICK TO GET A GOOD ROUND CIRCLE. I'LL CUT THAT OUT IN A MOMENT. AND I'M GOING TO CUT THE DOOR. I'M JUST PINCHING THE CORNER SO I CAN POP MY SCISSORS IN. MIGHT WANT AN ADULT TO HELP WITH THIS BIT.

[Whooshing, scissors snipping, upbeat music plays]

In an animation, scissors cut across a yellow screen. In live action, Bec opens a flap on the front of the cereal box.

Bec says, CUT OUT A DOOR AND A LITTLE HOLE.

Bec peeks through the small circular hole near the top of the back of the cereal box.

Bec says, HELLO.

Bec says, WE'LL NEED SOME COMPARTMENTS TO PUT YOUR SECRET TREASURES IN. SO, I'VE TAKEN THESE BOXES OUT OF THE RECYCLING, I'M GOING TO GLUE THEM IN.

Mao-San brushes P.V.A. on the small boxes.

Bec says, YEAH. ALL OVER IT. PERFECT. POP IT IN. AND I'LL PUT THIS ONE HERE.

Bec arranges the smaller boxes into a zig-zag pattern inside the cereal box.

Mao-San says, YEAH.

Bec says, ONE MORE. GREAT. NOW WE'LL PAINT IT.

They paint the inside of the cereal box and the smaller boxes black.

Bec says, SAFES ALWAYS MAKE ME THINK OF SPY MOVIES.

Mao-San says, YEAH.

Bec says, IF YOU WERE A SPY, WHAT SORT OF GADGET WOULD YOU HAVE?

Mao-San says, REARVIEW GLASSES.

Bec says, OH THAT'S GOOD, THEN YOU CAN SEE IF YOUR SISTER'S BEHIND YOU.

Mao-San says, YEAH, GOOD IDEA.

[Slide whistle, splattering, upbeat music plays]

In an animation, paint splatters. In live action, Mao-San and Bec stand beside the black cereal box.

Bec says, WHAT A LOVELY BLACK SAFE TO PUT ALL OF OUR TREASURES IN. BUT WHAT'S A PICTURE FRAME WITHOUT A PICTURE? I DID THIS FOR YOU, MAO-SAN.

[Rustling]

Bec shows Mao-San the flower picture.

Mao-San says, AH, IT'S REALLY NICE.

Bec says, OH, THANK YOU. YOU COULD DO A PAINTING YOU'VE DONE YOURSELF, A PHOTO, OR EVEN A POSTER.

Bec puts glue on the back of the picture and glues it to the door of the cereal box.

Bec says, LOVELY. I THINK THIS NEEDS A FRAME.

Mao-San gives Bec the frame.

Bec says, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I'M USING DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE. YOU COULD ALSO USE GLUE. YOU READY?

[Rustling]

Bec takes the cover off the double-sided tape and sticks the frame over the picture.

Mao-San says, MMHMM.

Bec says, LOVELY.

[Popping]

Mao-San says, VOILA.

Bec says, ALL THAT'S LEFT IS TO PUT THE TREASURES INSIDE.

Mao-San says, YAY.

[Upbeat music continues]

Bec holds the frame open, and Mao-San puts a shell, starfish, bracelet, necklace, colourful spring toy, and pen in the safe.

Bec asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Mao-San says, I LOVE IT, IT'S BEAUTIFUL. NOW MY SISTER WON'T GET MY PRECIOUS TREASURES.

Bec says, AND THERE YOU HAVE YOUR SECRET SAFE PICTURE FRAME.

[Slide whistle, splattering, upbeat music plays]

In an animation, paint splatters. In live action, Mao-San stands in her bedroom and closes the frame door of her safe.

Mao-San says, THANKS, BEC. SUCH A CLEVER HIDING PLACE. MY LITTLE SISTER WILL NEVER FIND MY TREASURES NOW.

Marlee enters the bedroom, looks around, and leaves.

Mao-San says, PROBLEM SOLVED.

[Whooshing, scissors snipping]

In an animation, scissors cut across a yellow screen. In live action, Bec stands in Makeaway Takeaway.

Bec says, GLAD I COULD HELP. ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER!

[Chiming, angelic humming]

Bec puts the order slip in a tray. On the counter, she puts a cherry on top of a large three-layer cake.

Bec says, AH. I'VE MADE THE PERFECT CAKE. JUST A LITTLE DUSTING OF ICING SUGAR.

[Playful music plays, sneezing, slide whistle, cake splattering]

Bec pours icing sugar into a strainer over the cake. She sneezes and leans face-first into the cake.

Bec says, OKAY. NOT AS GOOD AS MY GRANDMA'S. SHE HAS MANY TALENTS. HERE'S SOME PAPER PUPPETRY.

[Whooshing, zooming, whistling]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Slide whistle, flatulence tooting, cheerful music plays]

Bec stands beside a drawing of a woman bending over to feed a cat. The woman’s skirt lifts, revealing her underpants and a small cloud.

Bec says, NOW LET'S SEE HOW IT'S DONE.

[Slide whistle, flatulence tooting, cheerful music plays, screaming]

Bec pulls a string attached to the bottom of the skirt and waves her hand in front of her face.

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Batter squelching, playful music plays]

At the counter, Bec wears her chef’s hat. Cake batter sticks to her fingers as she lifts her hands from a bowl.

Bec says, OH, THIS MIXTURE'S SO STICKY. BUT MY STICKY FINGERS HAVE GIVEN ME AN IDEA FOR...A MEGA MINI MAKE.

[Splattering, upbeat music plays, rustling]

In an animation, paint splatters. In live action, Bec walks to a small table. Scissors, paper, a straw, a felt-tipped pen, and a glue stick lie on the table. She puts a strip of green paper on a blue paper.

Bec says, AH, ALL CLEANED UP. I'M GOING TO MAKE A CREEPY WITCH FINGER! TAKE A STRIP OF GREEN PAPER AND CUT AROUND THE END TO MAKE A FINGERTIP.

[Scissors snipping]

Bec cuts a curve at the end of the green paper and glues an almond-shaped fingernail to the end.

Bec says, ADD A FINGERNAIL. I'VE CUT THIS OUT FROM SOME YELLOW PAPER, AND I'VE DONE IT IN AN ALMOND SHAPE.

Bec draws a knuckle and nail bed and then folds the finger. She starts at the bottom and folds small squares across the finger like a fan.

Bec says, ADD SOME DETAILS. I'M USING A BLACK FELT TIP PEN TO DO A KNUCKLE AND MY NAIL BED. FOLDED IT INTO A CONCERTINA. TO DO THAT YOU FOLD IT BACK AND FORTH, BACK AND FORTH.

Bec unfolds the finger and puts it on the blue paper. She blows through the straw, and the finger moves forward across the paper.

Bec says, ONCE YOU'RE FINISHED FOLDING PLACE IT ON THE TABLE. TAKE A PAPER STRAW AND BLOW. THIS GAME IS GREAT. YOU CAN MAKE MORE AND RACE THEM WITH YOUR FRIENDS.

Bec blows through the straw, and the finger moves.

Bec says, AND THERE IS YOUR CREEPY WITCH FINGER.

[Witch cackling, splattering, inspiring music plays, wooing]

In an animation, paint splatters. In live action, Bec carries five cake boxes.

Bec says, IT'S TAKEN ME ALL DAY BUT I'VE FINALLY DONE IT. I'VE GOT BOXES AND BOXES OF BAKES. GOTTA TAKE THESE TO THE BAKE-OFF. THIS'LL SHOW PERFECT PENNY.

[Slide whistle, splatting]

In slow motion, Bec trips and drops the cake boxes.

Bec says, NOOOO.

[Sad music plays]

Bec looks down at the splattered cake.

[Chiming, whooshing]

The screen on the wall activates.

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

[Upbeat music plays]

A red-haired boy says, IT'S THE MAKE OF THE DAY! HI BEC, I'M NIALL, I LIVE IN BELFAST.

Bec says, HI NIALL, THANKS FOR CALLING MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY.

[Whirring]

On a conveyor belt, a plastic freezer, card paper, and a container of clear hair gel move past Bec.

The red-haired boy, Niall, asks, WHAT CAN YOU MAKE FROM THESE THREE INGREDIENTS - A PLASTIC FREEZER BAG, THICK COLOURED CARD, AND SOME OLD HAIR GEL?

Bec says, OLD HAIR GEL? OH, THAT IS A CHALLENGE. I MIGHT NEED SOME HELP. TELL ME, IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY PET, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Niall says, A DOG 'CAUSE I'M GOING TO GET A DOG WHEN I'M OLDER.

Bec says, AW, THAT IS CUTE. I'VE ALWAYS WANTED A FISH. AH, THAT GIVES ME AN IDEA. ONE MAKE OF THE DAY COMING RIGHT UP.

Niall says, THANKS, BEC!

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Upbeat music plays]

Bec stands behind the counter with Niall’s ingredients, glue, tape, a large piece of paper and a marker.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A SQUISHY CARD USING NIALL'S INGREDIENTS.

[Triumphant music notes play, splattering, cheering, applause, splattering, mellow music plays]

The finished card features a goldfish leaping out of a fishbowl on the front. In an animation, paint splatters. In live action, Bec picks up Niall’s card paper and folds the yellow and blue pieces.

Bec says, STARTING WITH NIALL'S COLOURED CARD. FOLD THE YELLOW PIECE IN HALF. MAKE SURE THE CORNERS MATCH THE EDGES. AND THE SAME WITH THE BLUE.

[Marker scraping]

Bec draws a fishbowl, fish, and water drops on the yellow card.

Bec says, TAKING THE YELLOW CARD, THIS IS GOING TO BE THE OUTSIDE. I'M GOING TO DRAW A FISHBOWL BECAUSE I'VE ALWAYS WANTED A PET FISH. ROUND CIRCLE FOR THE BOWL. WITH A THINNER FELT TIP, I'M GOING TO DRAW MY FISH. JUST ADDING SOME SPLASHES. 'CAUSE MY GOLDFISH IS JUMPING OUT OF THE BOWL. DON'T WORRY, IT LANDS BACK IN. IT'S JUST SAYING HI. TIME TO CUT OUT THE BOWL. JUST DO A LITTLE PINCH OF THE CARD, NOT TOO MUCH, WE DON'T WANT TO FOLD IT.

[Splattering, scissors snipping]

In an animation, paint splatters. Bec cuts the fishbowl, and the water drops out of the card.

Bec says, I'VE CUT OUT THE BOWL AND I'VE CUT OUT THE SPLASHES. I'VE ALSO GIVEN MY FISH A COUPLE OF GILLS AND SOME EXTRA SCALES. I'M GOING TO COLOUR IT IN USING ORANGE FOR MY GOLDFISH.

[Upbeat music plays, marker scratching]

Bec colours her goldfish.

Bec says, JUST USING RED FELT TIP FOR MY FISH'S SCALES. THAT'S ALL COLOURED IN.
TAKE THE BLUE CARD, PLACE IT INSIDE THE YELLOW CARD.

Bec puts the blue card inside the yellow card, showing the blue through the cut-out fishbowl and water drops. She traces the bowl onto the blue card and puts the yellow card to the side.

Bec asks, CAN YOU SEE WHAT WE'RE DOING NOW? THEN, WITH A PENCIL, GOT ONE HERE, TRACE THE INSIDE OF THE FISHBOWL. SO NOW I KNOW WHERE MY BOWL IS ON THE BLUE PAPER. OUR FISHBOWL IS LOOKING RATHER EMPTY SO I'VE CUT OUT SOME SEAWEED AND A BRIDGE. GLUING IT IN WITH A GLUE STICK.

Bec glues a drawing of a bridge and green seaweed to the blue card.

Bec says, PUT THE BRIDGE OVER. THAT'S ALL SMOOTH. WATCH THIS. WAIT FOR IT. AND AH! LOOK AT THAT.

Bec puts the blue card inside the yellow card. She spoons hair gel into the freezer bag and adds glitter.

Bec says, MY FISHBOWL'S ALL FILLED UP. I NEED SOME WATER, SO, TAKING NIALL'S SECOND INGREDIENT, THE FREEZER BAG, AND THE FINAL INGREDIENT, THE OLD HAIR GEL. I'M SPOONING SOME BLOBS INTO THE BAG. DON'T NEED TOO MUCH. AND A LITTLE DASH OF GLITTER. SMOOSH IT ALL TOGETHER. AND SEAL IT UP.

Bec tapes the freezer bag to the inside of the yellow card behind the bowl.

Bec says, OPEN UP THE YELLOW CARD. PLACE THE FREEZER BAG INSIDE. AND STICK IT DOWN WITH SOME STICKY TAPE. STRIP ACROSS THE TOP. STRIP ACROSS THE BOTTOM. AND, YOU GUESSED IT, STRIPS ALONG THE SIDES. NEARLY THERE. TAKE YOUR GLUE STICK AND START STICKING INSIDE.

Bec spreads glue inside the yellow card and the edges of the freezer bag. She attaches the blue card.

Bec says, AND ALONG THE EDGES OF THE FRONT. PLACE THE BLUE CARD BACK ONTO THE YELLOW CARD. I'M DOING THIS OPEN JUST SO I CAN MAKE SURE IT’S REALLY SMOOTH. AND YOU CAN SEE OUR SQUISHY, GLITTERY, WATERY FISHBOWL. THERE YOU HAVE...YOUR SQUISHY CARD.

[Upbeat music continues]

Bec presses on the glittering hair gel.

Bec says, WHILE I PACKAGE THIS UP FOR NIALL, HERE'S SOME OTHER IDEAS.

[Whooshing, bubbling]

A card has a potion-shaped opening with eyeballs, worms, a spider and a mushroom behind the gel. A second card resembles a washing machine and shows clothes drawn behind the glittering gel.

Bec says, YOU COULD ALSO MAKE A MAGIC POTION CARD. OR A THANK YOU CARD FOR THE POOR PERSON WHO WASHES YOUR STINKY SOCKS!

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

Bec carries a blue bag and places it in a slot on the wall.

Bec says, LET'S GET NIALL'S SQUISHY CARD ON THE ROAD.

[Beeping, splattering, Niall gasping, upbeat music continues]

Bec pushes a button. In an animation, paint splatters. In live action, at his home, Niall looks at the fish card.

Niall says, THANKS, BEC, I LOVE IT.

Bec says, ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER.

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Triumphant music plays]

Later, Bec holds a prize ribbon and a bowl of cream-covered trifle. She sits at a table.

Bec says, I WON STAR BAKER! AFTER I SQUISHED ALL MY CAKES EARLIER, I TURNED THEM INTO A TRIFLE! TURNS OUT ANYTHING TASTES GOOD COVERED IN CUSTARD AND CREAM. I EVEN LEFT A BOWL FOR PERFECT PENNY BUT SHE ACCIDENTALLY SAT IN IT. I THINK SHE GOT A SOGGY BOTTOM.

[Telephone ringing, the music stops]

Bec says, THE BANANA PHONE!

[Whooshing, beeping]

Bec answers the phone.

Bec says, HELLO, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

[Whooshing]

On a split screen, a boy with short black hair speaks to Bec on a smartphone. He wears a dark grey hooded jacket and a white shirt.

The black-haired boy, Zack, says, HI BEC, IT'S ME ZACK. CAN YOU DELIVER OUR ARTY SURPRISE FOR OUR FRIEND LUCY?

Bec says, YES, I LOVE A CHALLENGE. I'M ON MY WAY.

[Beeping, clunking, slide whistle]

Bec ends the call and puts down the telephone.

[Whooshing, zooming]

Title: “Makeaway Takeaway.”

[Upbeat music plays]

A bumblebee takes off from a flower. A wooden bee house is attached to a post. Zack crouches beside two children and pulls weeds from between flowers. Lucy, an adult with braided dark brown hair, crouches beside him.

Lucy asks, HOW ARE YOU GUYS GETTING ON WITH YOUR WEEDING, ALL RIGHT?

Zack says, YEAH.

Lucy says, RIGHT, I'LL LEAVE YOU GUYS TO IT. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Bec hides behind a tree, and Lucy walks to another group of children.

Lucy asks, HOW YOU GUYS GETTING ON?

A child says, GOOD.

Bec says, PSST.

[Upbeat music plays]

Bec gestures, and Zack and the other two children follow her.

Zack says, HEY BEC, YOU MADE IT!

Bec says, HI ZACK! WHO ARE YOU FRIENDS?

A girl with braided black hair says, I'M DELINA.

A girl with long brown hair in a ponytail says, AND I'M ANNA.

Bec says, HELLO, NICE TO MEET YOU. AND WHO AM I SURPRISING TODAY?

The children say, LUCY!

Bec says, OOH, WHY ARE WE SURPRISING LUCY?

Zack says, 'CAUSE SHE'S KIND.

The girl with braided black hair, Delina, says, SHE'S A GREAT TEACHER.

The girl with the ponytail, Anna, says, AND SHE'S VERY FRIENDLY.

Bec says, AW, THAT'S LOVELY. WHAT'S THAT AREA OVER THERE?

Bec looks at a grey wall.

Zack says, THAT AREA NEEDS MORE BRIGHTENING UP.

[Birds chirping, mellow music plays]

Bec says, I'LL SAY. YEAH, I THINK WE NEED TO MAKE SOMETHING BLOOMING SPECTACULAR. WHY DON'T WE SPRING INTO ACTION AND MAKE SOME ART?

The children say, YEAH!

[Bec says, ]

Bec leads the children to a long table with paper on it.

Bec says, COME AND HELP ME WITH MY STENCILS.

Everyone cuts shapes out of paper.

Bec says, ALL RIGHT. WE READY?

The children say, YEAH!

Bec says, EXCELLENT! WHICH ONE SHOULD WE USE FIRST?

Anna says, THIS ONE.

[Rustling, upbeat music plays]

Anna gives Bec a glossy stencil of grass, which Bec holds against the wall.

Bec says, THIS ONE?

Anna says, A BIT LOWER.

Bec lowers the stencil.

Anna says, THAT'S GOOD.

Bec says, WHAT'S NEXT?

Bec holds a stencil with butterflies and flowers against the wall.

Zack says, THIS ONE. YEAH, TO THE WALL. A LITTLE BIT HIGHER. YEAH. YEAH, THERE.
