In the Makeaway Takeaway restaurant, various craft supplies fill fridges, cover countertops, and adorn menus, including bottles of paint, scissors, sponges, ribbon, and a box of paintbrushes and pens. Host Bec Hill talks on her banana phone. Bec wears her long, curly pink hair in an updo. In her Makeaway Takeaway uniform, she wears a yellow polo shirt with a light blue collar and a dark blue skirt, paired with suspenders over light blue shorts. Bec paints a self-portrait with bubble wrap. Plates, cups, paint bottles, sunglasses, balled-up paper, and straws move along a conveyor belt. Bec pulls a bucket off her head. Three children paint. Bec paints a drawing of an orange, a pear and a banana. Bec announces the title.
Bec says, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!
[Doorbell ringing]
[Calming music plays]
In Makeaway Takeaway, Bec sits cross-legged on the floor with her eyes closed.
Bec opens her eyes and quietly says, OH! HELLO, I'M BEC. AND WELCOME TO –
[Record scratching]
[Calming music abruptly stops]
Bec loudly cheers, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!
[Calming music continues]
Bec quietly says, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY! I'M TRYING TO BE CALM TODAY, SO I'M DOING SOME MEDITATION. WHILE I RELAX, HERE'S TODAY'S MENU.
Bec closes her eyes.
[Cheerful music plays]
Title: Makeaway Takeaway.
[Upbeat music plays]
Bec narrates, COMING UP ON TODAY'S SHOW, A TECHNIQUE THAT WILL LEAVE YOU CLINGING TO THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT.
Bec peels plastic cling wrap off a wet blue and purple painting. She draws an angel fish in the corner of a dry purple and blue painting. A girl with long brown hair wears a pink T-shirt.
Bec narrates, I GET A CALL FROM A CUSTOMER WHO NEEDS HELP WITH A BATHROOM DISASTER, AND WE DELIVER A MONSTROUS SURPRISE TO A VERY FRIENDLY STREET.
Shaving cream and toothpaste stain a bathroom sink. In a driveway, Bec hangs pillows off a garage door clothesline. Children ride bikes, scooters, and rollerblades on a street.

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.
[Whistling]
On the floor of Makeaway Takeaway, with her eyes closed, Bec slowly raises and lowers her hands.
[Calming music plays]
Bec quietly says, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY.
Bec opens her eyes and says, SO, THE REASON I'M TRYING TO STAY SO CALM TODAY IS BECAUSE…
[Whooshing]
Bec jumps to her feet and throws her hands in the air.
Bec cheers, I'M SEEING MY FAVOURITE BAND IN CONCERT TONIGHT!
[Upbeat music plays]
Bec says, THE EASELS!
[Bec sharply exhaling]
Bec says, THE TICKETS WERE LIKE GOLD DUST!
[Bec sharply inhaling]
Bec says, OKAY, STAY CALM, BEC. YOU'RE AT WORK.
[Bec squealing]
Bec says, I'LL DO SOME ART! YEAH, I'LL PAINT A NICE SOOTHING PICTURE USING A…
[Exciting music plays]
Bec cheers, …TAKEAWAY TECHNIQUE!
[Whooshing]
[Scissors snipping]
Bec sits at the lunch table with a large piece of white paper, scissors, paintbrushes, a box of plastic cling wrap, a glue stick, dishes of light blue, dark blue and dark purple paint, and colourful paper cutouts.
[Gentle cheerful music plays]
Bec cheers, HERE'S A NEAT TRICK. USING CLING FILM OVER WET PAINT, I'M GOING TO MAKE A RELAXING AQUARIUM PICTURE. TAKE A PIECE OF WHITE CARD AND COVER IT IN WATERED-DOWN PAINT. I'M USING BLUE AND DIFFERENT SHADES OF PURPLE TO MAKE MY UNDERWATER SCENE. BEST TO PUT SOME NEWSPAPER DOWN BEFORE YOU DO THIS.
Bec paints large sections of the large white paper with the light blue watered-down paint.
Bec says, DIFFERENT SHADE.
Bec paints other sections of the paper with the dark blue watered-down paint.
Bec says, THE REASON I'VE WATERED DOWN MY PAINT IS BECAUSE I DON'T WANT IT TO DRY TOO QUICKLY. YOU'LL SEE WHY LATER. LET'S ADD SOME PURPLE.
Bec paints the remaining blank sections of the paper with the dark purple watered-down paint.
Bec says, YOU GET ALL DIFFERENT SORTS OF SHADES UNDERWATER, DON'T YOU? TIME TO ADD THE CLING FILM.
Bec grabs the box of plastic wrap, also known as cling film, and stretches a piece over the entire painting.
Bec says, TAKE THE CLING FILM. LAY IT ACROSS YOUR CARD. AND SMUSH IT ALL TOGETHER.
Bec gently presses down on the plastic wrap and lightly mixes the watered-down paint colours.
Bec says, SEE HOW IT'S ALL BLENDING IN. LEAVE IT TO DRY.
[Paint splattering]
Later at the table, Bec says, IT'S DRY! NEARLY.
[Funky music plays]
Bec says, WE DON'T WANT IT TO BE FULLY DRY OTHERWISE THE CLING FILM MIGHT STICK TO THE CARD. READY FOR THE BIG REVEAL? JUST PEEL IT BACK.
Bec peels the plastic wrap off the painting.
Bec says, OH! THAT LOOKS AMAZING! I CAN SEE HOW ALL THE DIFFERENT WRINKLES IN THE CLING FILM HAVE HELPED CREATE THIS UNDERWATER EFFECT. I LOVE IT! IN FACT, I LOVE THIS EFFECT SO MUCH, I DID IT THREE MORE TIMES! HERE'S SOME OTHERS THAT I DID.
Bec pulls out three more plastic wrap paintings with different coloured paint. The first painting is a combination of green and yellow.
Bec says, GREEN FOR SEAWEED.
The second painting is orange and yellow.
Bec says, ORANGE FOR CORAL.
The third painting is a combination of purple and blue.
Bec says, AND ON THIS ONE, I'M GOING TO DRAW AN ANGELFISH.
Bec lays the purple and blue painting on the table.
Bec says, TAKING MY BLACK FELT TIP PEN. I'M DRAWING A BIG FIN AT THE TOP. THE FISH'S LIPS. AND THEN A BIG SWOOSHY TAIL ADDING SOME MORE DETAILS WITH A PURPLE FELT TIP.
Bec draws an angelfish in the bottom right corner of the purple and blue painting.
Bec says, YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO REAL FISH EITHER. YOU CAN MAKE UP YOUR OWN FISH. ADD AN EYE. AND ITS MOUTH.
Bec adds the finishing touches to the angelfish drawing and adds a pupil to its eye.
Bec says, LET'S CUT IT OUT.
Bec starts cutting out the angelfish.
Later at the table, Bec says, I'VE CUT OUT MY FISH. YOU CAN DO MORE ON THE LEFTOVER CARD. HERE'S SOME OTHERS THAT I'VE DONE. SOME LOVELY DIFFERENT COLOURED FISH FOR MY SCENE AND SEAWEED.
Bec lays out her different-coloured paper cut-outs, including light and dark green seaweed and yellow and orange coral.
Bec says, ALL I HAVE TO DO NOW IS ASSEMBLE IT.
Bec grabs her light blue, dark blue and dark purple plastic wrap painting.
Bec says, MAKE SURE THAT YOU STICK THE THINGS THAT YOU WANT IN THE BACKGROUND FIRST, SO THAT WHEN YOU PUT YOUR FISH ON, THEY CAN BE SITTING IN FRONT OF IT.
Bec sticks her green seaweed cut-out to the bottom left corner of the painting.
Bec says, ADD SOME CORAL, AND WITH LEFTOVER BITS OF THE CARD, YOU COULD TURN THEM INTO ROCKS.
Bec sticks orange and yellow coral onto the seaweed and the bottom right corner of the painting. She adds an orange rock, a blue rock and a green rock between the pieces of coral.
Bec says, AND THAT IS A LOVELY PLACE FOR MY FISH TO LIVE. SO, I'LL START ADDING THEM. LITTLE FISH HERE.
Bec sticks a small orange and yellow fish cut-out to the painting above the seaweed and a larger orange and yellow fish on top of the seaweed. She sticks a blue and purple fish between the coral.
Bec says, FINALLY, ADD MY ANGELFISH.
Bec sticks her angelfish in the water above the coral.
Bec says, AND THAT IS HOW YOU MAKE A RELAXING AQUARIUM PICTURE USING CLING FILM AND WET PAINT.
In animation, a frame appears around the plastic wrap aquarium painting.
[Chimes]
[Water bubbling]
[Paint splattering]
In Makeaway Takeaway, Bec rolls a wooden massager up and down her left arm.
Bec says, THIS MASSAGE ROLLER IS SUPPOSED TO BE RELAXING. I DON'T THINK IT'S WORKING.
Bec rolls a second wooden massager up and down her right arm. She rolls her cheeks with both massagers.
Bec says, I SUPPOSE THAT IS SORT OF RELAXING.
[Ringing notification]
An order ticket prints from beneath the Makeaway Takeaway order screen.
[Printer whirring]
Bec lowers the massagers and says, A CUSTOMER!
The order ticket shows the brown-haired girl wearing a pink T-shirt.
The brown-haired girl says, HELLO, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY. BEC, I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP! MY FAMILY'S ALWAYS LEAVING THEIR TOOTHBRUSHES AND TOOTHPASTE ALL OVER THE BATHROOM. IT IS SO GROSS! CAN YOU HELP ME FIND A SOLUTION TO KEEP THEM CLEAN AND TIDY?
Bec says, DON'T WORRY. I KNOW JUST THE THING! ONE ARTY DELIVERY COMING RIGHT UP!
Bec grabs the order ticket and runs out of the restaurant.
[Energetic music plays]
In a comic book panel, Bec ties the laces on her pink sneakers and straightens her socks. She snaps her suspenders and puts on a Makeaway Takeaway visor. Bec puts on a craft tool belt which carries a paint roller, pen, scissors and other craft supplies. She straightens the collar of her shirt, winks, and gives a thumbs-up.
Bec says, LET'S DO THIS!
[Paint splattering]
[Gentle, cheerful music plays]
In a bedroom, the brown-haired girl falls back onto a pile of pillows on her bed.
The brown-haired girl narrates HELLO, I'M HOLLY. I'M TEN AND I'M FROM YORKSHIRE. IF I HAD A SUPERPOWER, I WOULD LOVE TO FLY.
Holly stands on her bed and raises her arm. Behind her, on one side of the bed, a dark-haired man with a buzz cut and a neatly trimmed beard holds up a paper cloud on a stick. A boy with short brown hair stands on the other side of the bed with a paper cloud on a stick.
Holly narrates, THIS IS MY FAMILY. THEY'RE THE BEST! AND I LOVE HANGING OUT WITH THEM. WHAT THEY'RE NOT THE BEST AT IS GETTING READY IN THE MORNING WHEN I NEED TO GO TO SCHOOL!
Outside a bathroom, Holly stands in line behind the brown-haired boy and the bearded man wearing a pink bathrobe. A woman with long brown hair leaves the bathroom, and the bearded man walks in.
Holly narrates, THERE'S ALWAYS A QUEUE FOR THE BATHROOM. DAD AT THE MIRROR OR MY BROTHER TAKING AGES IN THE SHOWER.
[Brown-haired brother singing]
Holly rolls her eyes.
Holly narrates, WORST OF ALL, BY THE TIME I GET IN THERE, IT'S A MESS!
Holly’s brother, the brown-haired boy, leaves the bathroom, and Holly walks in.
[Record scratching]
Holly groans, AH! GROSS!
Shaving cream and toothpaste stain the bathroom sink. Towels and toothbrushes lie across the counter. Holly stands outside the bathroom with her family.
Holly and her family say, BEC, WE NEED YOUR HELP.
[Whooshing]
[Scissors snipping]
[Doorbell ringing]
Holly’s dad, the bearded man, says, I'D BETTER LOOK. THAT MUST BE BEC NOW.
In a craft room, Bec joins Holly at a table and takes off her visor. Holly wears a blue Makeaway Takeaway apron.
Bec says, HI, HOLLY!
Holly says, HI!
Bec asks, HOW CAN I HELP?
[Intense music plays]
Holly says, WELL, MY BATHROOM IS SO MESSY. MY BROTHER AND MY DAD ALWAYS MESS IT UP.
Bec frowns.
Holly asks, PLEASE, COULD YOU HELP US?
Bec says, UGH! A MESSY BATHROOM!
[Cheerful music plays]
Bec says, I HAVE JUST THE MAKE! HOW ABOUT A TROPICAL TOOTHBRUSH TIDY?
Holly says, OOH!
[Fanfare plays]
On a plate of sand, small, painted bottles hold toothbrushes. A large bottle in the middle of the plate has a tube of toothpaste.
[Cheering and applause]
[Paint splattering]
[Cheerful music continues]
At the craft table, Bec says, WE'RE GOING TO START WITH THE BASE.
Bec grabs a plastic plate.
Bec says, I'VE GOT THIS LEFTOVER PARTY PLATE. IT'S YELLOW LIKE THE BEACH AND I THINK IT NEEDS SOME SAND TO BE A TROPICAL ISLAND, DON'T YOU?
Holly nods and says, MMM-HMM.
Bec says, SO, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE A SPECIAL SAND MIX THAT DRIES HARD AND HOLDS ALL OF OUR POTS IN PLACE. AND YOU'VE GOT TWO CUPS OF SAND THERE AND HALF A CUP OF P.V.A.
Holly grabs two paper cups of sand and a cup of P.V.A. glue.
Bec says, AND I'VE GOT SOME WATER. IF YOU POUR THE SAND AND THE P.V.A. INTO YOUR MIXING BOWL, WE'LL MIX THE SAND AND THE P.V.A. TOGETHER AT THE SAME TIME.
Holly pours the sand and glue into a bowl and mixes them with a large wooden spoon.
Bec says, OH, THAT'S NICE AND GOOEY. WE WANT IT TO BE A NICE, DOUGHY MIX, SO ONLY USE ONE TO TWO SPOONS OF WATER.
Bec adds a spoonful of water to the bowl. The sand, glue and water stick together.
Bec says, THAT LOOKS READY TO ME.
Holly says, MMM-HMM.
Bec says, YEAH! WE'RE GOING TO POUR IT ONTO THE BASE.
Holly tilts the bowl and holds it over the plate. Bec scrapes the sand mixture onto the plate with the spoon.
Bec says, THERE WE GO! AND WE'LL SPOON IT OUT. HOW'D YOU LIKE TO MAKE YOUR SANDCASTLES OUT OF THIS STUFF?
[Holly giggling]
Holly says, IT'D BE VERY STICKY.
Bec says, IT WOULD BE VERY STICKY!
Bec scrapes another spoonful of the sand mixture out of the bowl and starts to spread it across the plate.
Bec says, I THINK THAT'S ENOUGH. I THINK WE'RE GONNA HAVE TO USE OUR FINGERS, DON'T YOU?
Holly nods and says, MMM-HMM.
Bec says, MMM. ALL RIGHT, LET'S DO THIS.
Bec and Holly smooth out the thick sand mixture with their fingers.
Holly says, I THINK IT LOOKS PRETTY GOOD.
Bec says, YES, I THINK IT DOES, TOO!
Holly sets the bowl aside.
Bec says, PUT THE BOWL OVER THERE. TROPICAL ISLAND IS LOOKING A BIT BARE THOUGH.
Holly nods.
Bec says, SO, IT NEEDS A BIG PALM TREE, WHICH IT WILL BECOME LATER. WE'LL NEED SOME SMALLER POTS TO HOLD OUR TOOTHBRUSHES.
Bec sets a brown plastic bottle and four smaller bottles on the table.
Bec says, WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY'RE NOT GOING TO FALL OVER, SO I'M GOING TO PUSH THIS IN THE CENTRE.
Bec pushes the tall bottle into the middle of the sand mixture and grabs two small ones.
Bec says, IF YOU POP THESE TWO AROUND.
Bec and Holly push the four small bottles into the sand mixture around the tall bottle.
Bec says, OH, YEAH! EXCELLENT.
Holly says, MMM-HMM.
Bec says, NOW, IF WE TAKE THEM OUT. YOU'LL SEE…
Bec slowly removes one of the small bottles, leaving a hole in the sand mixture.
Bec says, THERE WE GO.
Holly removes one of the small bottles, and Bec removes the other ones. The bottles leave holes in the sand mixture.
Bec says, WE'LL LEAVE THE BASE TO DRY. POP THAT OVER THERE.
Holly sets the plate of sand mixture aside.
Bec says, NOW, LET'S PAINT!
Bec places the four small bottles in front of Holly.
Bec says, HOLLY, YOU'RE GOING TO PAINT THE SMALLER BOTTLES PURPLE, RED, YELLOW AND GREEN.
Bec places a half-dozen plastic egg carton with purple, red, yellow and light and dark green paint on the table.
Holly says, MMM-HMM.
Bec says, GRAB A BRUSH.
Holly grabs a paintbrush. She dips it in light green paint and starts painting one of the small bottles. Bec starts painting the tall brown bottle yellow.
Bec says, I'M PAINTING A PALM TREE, AND HOLLY IS PAINTING DIFFERENT TYPES OF FRUIT. I'VE MIXED THIS PAINT WITH P.V.A. SO IT STICKS TO THE PLASTIC.
Holly says, OOH! GOOD TIP!
Bec paints stripes around the tall bottle.
Bec asks, DOES ANYONE IN YOUR FAMILY SING IN THE SHOWER?
Holly says, BILLY DOES.
Bec says, YOUR BROTHER?
Holly nods and says, MMM-HMM.
Bec asks, IS HE ANY GOOD?
Holly says, NO!
[Holly giggling]
Bec says, AH, THAT'S ALL RIGHT. I'VE HEARD WORSE NOISES COMING FROM THE BATHROOM.
[Holly giggling]
[Flatulence]
Bec says, WE'LL ADD A COUPLE OF LAYERS SO THEY'RE NICE AND BRIGHT AND COLOURFUL AND THEN LEAVE THEM TO DRY.
Holly puts a small, now-yellow bottle on the table. Of the other bottles, one is red, one is blue, and one is green.
[Paint splattering]
Later at the table, Bec says, OUR POTS AND BOTTLES ARE ALL DRY, AND TOGETHER WE'VE ADDED SOME FINAL DETAILS TO OUR FRUIT.
The blue bottle is covered in blueberries, and the yellow bottle looks like a pineapple. Bec holds the green bottle, which looks like a watermelon slice, and Holly holds the red bottle.
Bec asks, HOLLY, WHAT HAVE YOU GOT THERE?
Holly holds up the red bottle, which looks like a strawberry.
Holly says, I'M DOING A STRAWBERRY.
Holly paints part of the strawberry bottle yellow.
Bec says, AND I'M FINISHING OFF THIS WATERMELON.
Bed paints watermelon seeds onto the bottle. She and Holly put their bottles on the table with the blueberry bottle, pineapple bottle, and tall brown and yellow palm tree bottle.
Bec says, THAT STRAWBERRY LOOKS GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT, HOLLY!
Holly says, THANK YOU.
Bec says, AND I THINK OUR PALM TREE COULD DO WITH SOME LEAVES.
Holly nods and says, MMM-HMM.
Bec says, I'VE CUT SOME LEAVES' SHAPES OUT OF CRAFT FOAM. I'M USING THIS BECAUSE IT'S WATERPROOF AND WE'RE GOING TO BE PUTTING THIS IN OUR BATHROOM.
Bec holds up a green craft foam leaf with a cut halfway down the middle.
Bec says, I'M USING STRONG GLUE.
Holly nods. Bec spreads glue around the rim of the tall palm tree bottle. She puts the lid on the glue and sticks four foam leaves around the rim.
Bec says, YOU CAN GET CRAFT FOAM FROM MOST SUPERMARKETS AND DISCOUNT STORES. ALMOST THERE. WE'LL GRAB THESE.
Bec grabs the palm tree bottle, watermelon bottle and pineapple bottle and sets them aside. Holly sets the blueberry bottle and the strawberry bottle aside.
Bec asks, AND CAN YOU GET OUR DRIED BEACH?
Holly says, MMM-HMM.
Holly pulls the sand mixture plate over to her and Bec. Holly and Bec poke the now-hard mixture.
Holly says, IT'S NOT QUICKSAND ANYMORE.
Bec says, NO, IT IS NOT!
[Holly giggling]
Bec says, PLOP THIS PALM TREE IN THE MIDDLE.
Bec places the palm tree bottle in the hole in the middle of the plate.
Bec says, LET'S ADD OUR FRUIT!
Bec and Holly place the fruit bottles in the small holes around the palm tree bottle.
Holly says, THERE YOU GO.
Bec says, IT'S MISSING ONE LAST THING.
Holly says, I THINK I KNOW WHAT THAT IS.
Bec asks, YEAH?
Holly grabs a tube of toothpaste, a blue toothbrush, a green toothbrush, an orange toothbrush and a pink toothbrush. She places them on the table between her and Bec.
Bec says, EXCELLENT.
Bec grabs the toothpaste, and Holly grabs the toothbrushes. Holly puts the blue toothbrush in the blueberry bottle. Later at the table, the pink toothbrush is in the strawberry bottle, and the green toothbrush is in the watermelon bottle. Holly puts the orange toothbrush in the pineapple bottle.
Holly says, ORANGE FOR THE PINEAPPLE.
Bec says, AND LASTLY, TOOTHPASTE IN OUR PALM TREE.
Bec puts the toothpaste in the palm tree bottle.
Bec asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Holly says, I THINK IT'S EXCELLENT, BEC! THANK YOU FOR HELPING US.
Bec says, OH! YOU'RE WELCOME! AND THERE IS YOUR TROPICAL TOOTHBRUSH TIDY.
Holly cheers, WOO!
Bec cheers, YEAH!
[Paint splattering]
In Holly’s shared bathroom, Holly’s dad, the bearded man, Holly’s brother, Billy, and Holly put away their toothbrushes in the tropical toothbrush tidy.
In the bathroom, Holly says, THANKS SO MUCH! IT'S BRILLIANT! AND LOOK HOW TIDY THE BATHROOM IS NOW!
[Whooshing]
[Scissors snipping]
At Makeaway Takeaway, Bec stands behind the front counter with Holly’s order ticket.
Bec says, ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER.
Bec puts Holly’s order ticket in a tray on the back counter.
[Cash register clicking and dinging]
[Gentle music plays]
Bec says, I'M SO EXCITED TO SEE MY FAVOURITE BAND TONIGHT! I KNOW ALL THE WORDS TO ALL OF THEIR SONGS. I'VE EVEN GOT THE T-SHIRT!
[Light rock music plays]
Bec pulls out a blue T-shirt with a logo of lightning bolts behind an easel with a music note.
Bec puts the T-shirt away and says, OKAY, STAY CALM. GOTTA THINK OF RELAXING THINGS LIKE FORESTS, WATERFALLS, OR A UNICORN.
[Calming music plays]
Bec says, TIME FOR THE PAPER PUPPETRY.
[Whooshing]
Title: Makeaway Takeaway.
[Whooshing]
[Carnival music plays]
On a large notepad on an easel, Bec turns a paper lever behind a drawing in a circular motion. The drawing shows a unicorn spewing rainbow vomit onto a mouse’s umbrella. The rainbow vomit changes colours as Bec turns the lever. Bec looks disgusted.
Bec narrates, NOW, LET'S SEE HOW IT'S DONE.
On the back of the notepad, a strip of cardboard pinned to a cardboard circle spins the circle as the lever is moved, rotating through the different rainbow colours of the rainbow vomit. Bec raises her eyebrows.
[Whooshing]
Title: Makeaway Takeaway.
[Whooshing]
[Calming music plays]
At Makeaway Takeaway, Bec stands behind the front counter with two stacks of rocks.
Bec says, ROCK BALANCING IS MEANT TO BE VERY SOOTHING.
Bec picks up a rock. She holds it over the two stacks and pauses.
Bec says, ROCK?
[Bec gasping]
[Record scratching]
[Calming music abruptly stops]
Bec says, AS IN ROCK BAND!
Bec drops the rock on the two rock stacks.
Bec yelps, AH!
[Rocks clattering]
Bec says, OH, THAT GIVES ME AN IDEA FOR A MEGA MINI MAKE!
[Paint splattering]
[Joyful music plays]
Bec takes a seat at the small Mega Mini Make table on the other side of the room with craft supplies that include a yellow piece of paper, a paper cup, a dish of dry macaroni noodles, two different-sized pebbles, crumpled scrap paper, a small dish of brown paint and other craft supplies.
Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A PEBBLE CACTUS. START WITH A CUP, TAKE SOME SCRAP PAPER FROM YOUR RECYCLING, SCRUNCH IT UP, TUCK IT INSIDE THE CUP.
Bec places the paper cup on the paper. She scrunches up a piece of scrap paper and pushes it into the bottom of the cup.
Bec says, THEN TOP UP THE REST WITH OUT-OF-DATE PASTA.
Bec pours macaroni noodles into the cup.
Bec says, YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE PASTA, YOU COULD ALSO USE OUT-OF-DATE LENTILS OR RICE. MAKE A DIVOT. YOU'LL SEE WHY LATER. AND TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE SOIL, I'VE MIXED BROWN PAINT WITH P.V.A. GLUE. THE REASON IS THAT THE P.V.A. STICKS ALL OF THE PASTA TOGETHER.
Bec makes a divot in the middle of the macaroni with her finger. Bec pours the brown P.V.A. glue paint over the noodles.
Bec says, ONCE IT'S ALL COVERED, LEAVE IT TO DRY.
Bec sets the paper cup aside and grabs the two pebbles.
Bec says, TIME TO MAKE MY CACTUS! I FOUND THESE BEAUTIFUL PEBBLES. I’M GONNA TAKE A LITTLE PIECE OF TACK, STICK IT ON THE CORNER AT THE TOP AND ADD A SMALLER PEBBLE THERE. AND THEN PAINT IT CACTUS GREEN.
Bec lays the pebbles flat on the paper and sticks the edge of the smaller pebble to the edge of the larger pebble with a small piece of tack. She grabs a cup of dark green paint and paints the pebbles and tack.
[Paint splattering]
Later at the Mega Mini Make table, Bec says, THE CACTUS IS DRY! I'M GONNA GIVE IT A LITTLE FACE. I'M USING THESE LITTLE GOOGLY EYES THAT I FOUND BEFORE. I'M STICKING THEM ON WITH DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE, BUT YOU COULD ALSO USE STRONG GLUE.
Bec sticks two googly eyes onto the larger pebble,
Bec says, I FOUND THIS LITTLE POM-POM. IT LOOKS LIKE A CACTUS FLOWER. I'M GONNA STICK THAT ON AS WELL.
Bec sticks a pink pom-pom on top of the larger pebble beside the smaller pebble.
Bec says, AH, LOVELY.
Bec grabs a white marker.
Bec says, WITH SOME WHITE PEN, I'M GONNA ADD SOME DETAILS. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A WHITE PEN, YOU CAN ALSO USE WHITE PAINT. ADD LITTLE DOTS. ADD THE SPIKES.
Bec adds a smile under the googly eyes and draws dots across the larger pebble. She draws lines as spikes on the smaller pebble. Bec grabs the paper cup of macaroni.
Bec says, REMEMBER THAT DIVOT? ADD SOME TACK AND PUT IT IN.
Bec presses a piece of tack into the divot and pushes the pebble cactus onto the tack.
Bec says, AND THERE IS YOUR PEBBLE CACTUS.
Other pebble cacti are shown, including one with multiple different-coloured pom-poms and another with fuzzy green hair.
Bec says, YOU CAN MAKE ONE OR A WHOLE FAMILY OF CACTI!
[Paint splattering]
At Makeaway Takeaway, Bec sits on the floor with her legs against her chest and her ankles crossed behind her head. Bec furrows her brow.
Bec says, NOPE! THIS ISN'T WORKING EITHER. UH, OH.
Bec tips toward her right.
Bec yelps, WHOA!
Bec falls.
[Banging]
Bec sits up with a pair of fake legs that look like her legs.
Bec says, HA-HA! FOOLED YA!
Bec wiggles the fake legs.
[Bec blabbering]
[Ringing]
Bec says, A CUSTOMER!
On the order screen, two boys with short black hair sit side by side. The first boy wears a red T-shirt and the second boy wears a blue T-shirt.
Both boys say, IT'S THE MAKE OF THE DAY!
[Upbeat music plays]
The boy wearing the red T-shirt says, HI, BEC. MY NAME IS NATHANIEL.
The boy wearing a blue T-shirt says, AND I'M HIS BROTHER JOSH.
Nathaniel and Josh both say, AND WE'RE BOTH FROM BIRMINGHAM.
Bec says, HI, NATHANIEL! HI, JOSH! THANKS FOR CALLING MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY.
Nathaniel asks, CAN YOU MAKE OUT OF THESE THREE INGREDIENTS?
Josh says, CARDBOARD TUBES, TIN FOIL AND SOME STICKERS.
The front counter conveyor belt begins to move, and plastic plates appear, displaying Nathaniel and Josh’s ingredients. A purple plate has short cardboard tubes, a blue plate has a roll of tinfoil, and a red plate has a square sheet of white stickers.
Bec says, THANKS FOR THESE INGREDIENTS! HMM. I MIGHT NEED A BIT OF INSPIRATION, THOUGH. TELL ME. IF YOU COULD GO TO ANY PLANET, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Josh says, I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT MARS BECAUSE IT'S REALLY HOT AND I WOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE A HOLIDAY EVERY DAY.
Bec says, GOOD ANSWER. YOU'D NEED A ROCKET THOUGH. OOH, ROCKET.
Bec looks at the Make of the Day ingredients and says, YES, I KNOW! ONE MAKE OF THE DAY COMING RIGHT UP!
Nathaniel and Josh say, BRILLIANT! THANKS, BEC!
[Whooshing]
Title: Makeaway Takeaway.
[Whooshing]
Bec steps behind the front counter.
Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A BLAST OFF SPACE GAME USING NATHANIEL AND JOSH'S INGREDIENTS.
[Paint splattering]
A space game featuring red, blue, and green rockets, each marked with a different number of points, displays the moon with balled-up tinfoil in its craters.
[Celebratory music plays]
[Cheering and applause]
[Paint splattering]
[Gentle music plays]
Bec stands at the counter with craft supplies laid out, including a large piece of cardboard, cups of paint, a dish of glue, a pair of scissors, a black marker, and Nathaniel and Josh’s Make of the Day ingredients.
Bec says, I'VE GOT THIS BIG PIECE OF CARDBOARD THAT I CUT OUT FROM A RECYCLED BOX, AND I'M GOING TO DRAW A SEMI-CIRCLE AT THE BOTTOM. IT'S GOING TO BE A MOON.
Bec draws a half-circle at the bottom of the piece of cardboard with her marker.
Bec says, TAKE ONE CARDBOARD TUBE FROM YOUR FIRST INGREDIENT AND CUT IT INTO FIVE PIECES.
Bec cuts a cardboard tube into five rings with the scissors.
Bec counts, ONE. TWO. THREE. FOUR AND FIVE.
Bec warns, WATCH YOUR FINGERS.
Bec sets the scissors aside and dips the bottom of a cardboard ring into the glue dish.
Bec says, DIP THE PIECES IN P.V.A. AND STICK THEM TO YOUR MOON. THIS IS WHERE METEORITES HAVE HIT THE MOON AND HAVE FORMED CRATERS.
Bec glues the cardboard rings to the half-circle moon.
Bec says, LET'S GET PAINTING!
[Exciting music plays]
Bec starts painting the cardboard around the moon black.
[Paint splattering]
Later at the counter, the cardboard around the moon is black.
Bec says, ONCE THE SKY IS ALL BLACK, PAINT THE MOON YELLOW.
Bec paints the moon yellow.
Bec says, PAINTING INSIDE AND AROUND MY CRATERS.
On the now-yellow moon, Bec adds white paint details to spots around the craters.
Bec says, USING A BIT OF WHITE PAINT TO ADD SOME HIGHLIGHTS. USING THE SAME WHITE PAINT, I'M GOING TO DO SOME STARS, JUST DAPPING THE PAINT AROUND. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A SHOOTING STAR?
Bec paints small spots and streaks as stars across the black cardboard.
Bec says, THERE'S ALL MY STAR! I'LL PUT THIS ASIDE TO DRY. GOING BACK TO THAT INGREDIENT, THE CARDBOARD TUBES, I'M GOING TO TURN THESE INTO ROCKETS.
Bec sets the piece of cardboard aside and grabs the remaining cardboard tubes.
Bec says, I'LL START WITH BLUE AND THEN I'LL DO ANOTHER BLUE, TWO REDS AND A GREEN.
Bec paints a cardboard tube blue.
Bec says, NOW, LET'S PAINT THE OTHERS.
[Paint splattering]
Later at the table, Bec has two blue cardboard tubes, two red tubes and one green tube.
Bec says, I'VE PAINTED ALL THE CARDBOARD TUBES AND THEY'RE DRY. I'LL PUT THESE ASIDE WHILE I TURN THIS ONE INTO A ROCKET.
Bec sets the red and green tubes aside and grabs a blue triangle cut-out with a curved top and narrow rectangles on each side.
Bec says, THIS WILL BE THE BASE OF MY ROCKET. YOU CAN SEE I'VE CUT OUT A TRIANGLE FROM BLUE CARD, AND I'VE DONE AN OUTLINE IN BLACK FELT TIP. ALSO GOING TO ADD A FEW DETAILS IN BLACK FELT TIP.
Bec roughly draws three lines beside the bottom corners of the blue triangle and a circle at the top.
Bec says, LET'S STICK THE JET FLAME TO THE ROCKET. SO, I'VE CUT OUT SOME ORANGE AND YELLOW CARD. GIVES US A FIERY EFFECT.
Bec glues a small orange flame cut-out to a larger yellow flame cut-out and glues the yellow cut-out to the rocket.
Bec says, AND THEN BLUE. LASTLY, TO ADD THAT CARDBOARD TUBE, I'M USING DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE, BUT YOU COULD ALSO USE STRONG GLUE.
Bec sticks the blue cardboard tube vertically onto the paper rocket.
Bec says, AND HERE WE ARE. LET'S PUT THESE ROCKETS INTO SPACE!
Bec sets the blue rocket aside and grabs the large piece of cardboard with the moon and craters.
Bec says, MY DRY BACKGROUND. I'M STICKING MY ROCKETS ON.
Bec peels the double-sided tape off the back of the blue rocket and sticks it onto the left side of the cardboard, just above the moon.
Bec says, ADD A SECOND BLUE ROCKET HERE AND I'VE ADDED SOME DIFFERENT COLOURED BASES FOR THE OTHER COLOURED TUBES.
Bec adds a second blue rocket to the right side of the cardboard beside the first. She places two white rockets with red tubes in opposite corners at the top of the board, and a yellow and green rocket with the green tube in the middle.
Bec says, USING ONE OF THE OTHER INGREDIENTS, THE STICKERS, I'VE MADE SOME POINT NUMBERS!
Bec places a white circle point sticker with the number 10 written on it onto a blue tube. She places a second 10-point sticker on the other blue tube, 20-point stickers on the red tubes, and a 50-point number sticker on the green tube.
Bec says, NEARLY DONE. USING THE FINAL INGREDIENT, THE TIN FOIL, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE SOME METEORS.
Bec rips a piece of tinfoil off the roll and scrunches it into a ball.
Bec says, RIP OFF A PIECE AND SCRUNCH IT UP. ONCE IT'S A LITTLE METEORITE BALL, YOU CAN POP IT IN A CRATER. I'VE DONE FOUR MORE.
Bec places tinfoil balls into the yellow cardboard meteor rings on the moon.
Bec says, AND THERE IS A BLAST OFF SPACE GAME! LET'S TRY IT OUT.
At the Mega Mini Make table, Bec places the space game on the table and leans it against the wall. She takes the tinfoil meteor balls out of the crater rings and takes a few steps back from the table.
Bec says, HERE WE GO.
Bec throws a meteor ball down a red 20-point tube.
Beck cheers, YAY!
She glances at the game and says, WHILE I PACKAGE THIS UP FOR NATHANIEL AND JOSH, HERE'S SOME OTHER IDEAS.
[Whooshing]
[Scissors snipping]
A soccer field game features red tubes and blue tubes as soccer players, a black and white tube as a referee, and balls as soccer balls.
Bec narrates, YOU COULD MAKE A FOOTBALL PITCH COMPLETE WITH PLAYERS AND FOOTBALLS.
[Crowd cheering]
[Bubbling]
Another board, as a bubble bath, has yellow rubber ducks with yellow tubes, a pink rubber duck with a red tube and balls of plastic wrap.
Bec narrates, OR HOW ABOUT A BUBBLE BATH WITH LOTS OF RUBBER DUCKIES? AND BUBBLES!
[Whooshing]
Title: Makeaway Takeaway.
[Whooshing]
At Makeaway Takeaway, Bec stands by the delivery hatch.
Bec says, THREE, TWO, ONE! LIFT OFF!
Bec presses a button beside the delivery hatch.
[Beeping]
[Paint splattering]
At Nathaniel and Josh’s house, Nathaniel and Josh unpack their space game board.
Nathaniel and Josh say, THANKS, BEC!
Josh drops a tinfoil meteorite ball down the green 50-point rocket tube.
Nathaniel says, WE LOVE OUR SPACE GAME!
At Makeaway Takeaway, Bec says, SOME MORE HAPPY CUSTOMERS.
Bec smiles.
[Whooshing]
Title: Makeaway Takeaway.
[Whooshing]
Behind the front counter, Bec stands with her eyes closed. She slowly raises and lowers her arms.
[Calming music plays]
[Bec sighing in relaxation]
[Clock ticking]
[Alarm beeping]
Bec opens her eyes and says, OH! IT'S NEARLY CLOSING TIME! I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW LONG I'VE WAITED TO SEE THE EASELS ON TOUR. AND I GET TO SEE THEM…
Bec pulls out a calendar with all but the last 2 days of the month crossed out and places it on the counter. The Easel band’s logo on the last day is circled.
[Record scratching]
Bec says, TOMORROW? OH, NO! I GOT THE DATE WRONG!
[Sad music plays]
[Bec sighing]
Bec says, I'M GONNA HAVE TO WAIT A WHOLE OTHER DAY TO SEE MY FAVOURITE BAND!
[Rock music plays]
Bec slowly smiles and says, BUT THAT DOES MEAN… TOMORROW I GET TO SEE MY FAVOURITE BAND! YEAH!
Bec dances.
[Banana phone ringing]
Bec says, A CUSTOMER!
Bec runs and grabs the banana phone off the Mega Mini Make table.
Bec answers the phone and says, YOU'VE REACHED THE MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY BANANA HOTLINE.
On the other end of the call, a boy with short brown hair wears a dark blue hooded zipper sweater over a light blue T-shirt.
The brown-haired boy says, HI, BEC. MY NAME'S ALFIE, AND CAN YOU DELIVER AN ART SURPRISE TO MY ROAD?
Bec says, OF COURSE! I CAN'T WAIT!
Bec ends the call.
[Beeping]
Bec puts down the banana phone and says, TIME TO SPLIT!
[Whooshing]
Title: Makeaway Takeaway.
[Whooshing]
On a neighbourhood street, children ride bikes, scooters and roller skates. A man drinks coffee on his front lawn. Two children work on their bikes in a driveway. A woman brings a cup of coffee to her neighbour across the road. A man mows his front lawn.
[Children laughing]
Bec says, THIS MUST BE ALFIE'S ROAD!
Two men jog down the street.
[Light, cheerful music plays]
Bec walks up to a house and rings the doorbell. She wears her Makeaway Takeaway visor and craft tool belt. Bec steps back, and Alfie, the brown-haired boy, runs out with a boy who has short, light brown hair and wears a grey hooded zipper sweater over a light blue T-shirt.
[Doorbell ringing]
Alfie says, HI, BEC!
Bec says, HI, ALFIE! AND WHO'S THIS?
Alfie says, THIS IS BAILEY, MY BROTHER.
Bailey says, HI!
Bec says, HI, BAILEY, AND WHO AM I SURPRISING TODAY?
Alfie says. TODAY WE'RE GOING TO BE SURPRISING MY CUL-DE-SAC BECAUSE THEY'RE REALLY KIND PEOPLE.
A video shows one man in the cul-de-sac step out of his house and give a jug of milk to another.
Bec says, AW! THAT'S SO COOL!
Bailey says, THEY'RE REALLY HELPFUL AND WE REALLY WANT TO PUT A SMILE ON THEIR FACES.
Two women in the cul-de-sac drink coffee together. In a driveway, one man passes a leaf blower to another.
Bec says, OH, LOVELY. WELL THEN, DEFINITELY, WE WANT SOMETHING THAT MAKE THEM LAUGH, YEAH?
Alfie nods and says, YEAH.
Bec says, WE MIGHT NEED SOME HELP TO GO BIG.
Alfie nods and says, OKAY.
Bec says, LET'S MAKE SOME ART!
Alfie and Baliey say, YES!
[Upbeat music plays]
Alfie and Bailey carry two sawhorses out of their garage and set them up in the driveway. They carry out a thin sheet of wood and place it on top. Bec lays out a large piece of poster paper and draws a tall curved shape across it. Bailey starts cutting the shape out with a pair of scissors. A girl with her blond hair in a braid, wearing a pale pink sweater, washes a car and splashes water on a woman with chin-length blond hair, also wearing a pale pink T-shirt. Alfie and Bailey carry a half-deflated inflatable pool out of the garage. Bailey grabs a bike pump, and they pump up the pool.
[Pump hissing]
Three children push bins across the yard. A black inflatable tube rolls past Alfie and Ben. Bec chases it across the driveway. She runs back across the driveway, and the tube rolls behind her. Bec spins the tube around her waist. Bailey drops a black, circular sheet in the now-inflated pool. A short-haired man wearing a dark blue button-down shirt mows his lawn. Alfie and Bailey carry white, blue and red pillows outside and drop them in a pile on the grass. A woman with shoulder-length brown hair wearing a white blouse looks at the pile with confusion. She spots Bec in the driveway and carries a white pillow and a red cube cushion over to her.
[Upbeat music continues]
Bec hangs the white pillow on a clothesline hanging from one end of an open garage door to the other. More pillows hang from the clothesline, against red sheets that block the garage entrance. A man with short brown hair wearing a blue T-shirt carries a dark blue body pillow over to Bec. Bec and the brown-haired man tuck it into the black inflatable tube and lift the tube toward the roof. A woman with long, curly black hair wearing a green T-shirt works in her front garden. A boy with short brown hair wearing a red T-shirt sticks a giant eye made of a white circle and a black circle onto a half-open green bin.
[Upbeat music continues]
A red sheet sticks out of the bin, and it looks like a monster sticking out its tongue. In the driveway, the brown-haired woman throws another red cube cushion to Bec, and Bec throws it in one of two black tubes with blue body pillows on the roof. A girl wearing her long brown hair in braided pigtails and a blue and white tie-dye shirt, places fuzzy bear paw slippers in front of the monster green bin as its feet.
[Record scratching]
[Bec inhaling sharply]
Bec brings her finger to her nose.
[Music abruptly stops]
Bec says, AH! AH!
Alfie runs over with a green towel. Bec takes the towel and relaxes.
[Bec sighing]
Bec looks at the green towel and grins. She throws it on the roof.
[Upbeat music continues]
A girl with long, brown hair, wearing a white blouse, places swim fins in front of a black garbage bin monster as its feet. Bailey passes Bec the large white cut-out shape, and she hangs it beside the pillows on the clothesline. It looks like a fang beside the row of pillows. Bec lifts an inflatable pool that looks like an eye. In a window above, the brown-haired woman leans out and pulls on a rope. She pulls the pool onto the roof. In another window, the brown-haired man pulls on a rope, pulling a second inflatable pool eye onto the roof.
[Paint splattering]
In the driveway, Bec, Alfie, Bailey, the brown-haired woman, the brown-haired man and other children from around the neighbourhood look at Bec’s creation. Three other cut-outs look like fangs around the pillow teeth on the clothesline.
Bec says, I THINK YOU'VE DONE A GREAT JOB!
Bec and the children say, YEAH.
Bec asks, SHOULD WE SHOW SOME OF YOUR OTHER NEIGHBOURS?
Alfie and Bailey say, YEAH!
Bec says, ALL RIGHT! GOT GET 'EM!
[Paint splattering]
Later in the driveway, neighbours from the cul-de-sac gather with their eyes closed.
Alfie says, I JUST WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH GREAT NEIGHBOURS.
Bailey says, TAKE A LOOK.
The short-haired man and the curly-haired woman uncover their eyes and look at Bec’s creation.
[Upbeat music plays]
The short-haired man says, WOW!
The curly-haired woman says, WOW! THAT'S AMAZING!
The inflatable pool eyes hang over the second-floor windows. The inflatable tubes lie on the roof above the garage as a nose. A green towel hangs out of one of the tubes. On the front grass, the sun shines on the bin monsters. A man with short, dark hair, wearing a blue polo shirt, stands beside the blonde-haired woman and the blonde-haired girl.
The dark-haired man says, MY PADDLING POOL!
[Blond-haired woman laughing]
The neighbours gaze at Bec’s monster creation.
Bec says, THAT'S ANOTHER BRILLIANT DAY OF DELIVERING ART TO YOUR DOOR. SEE YOU NEXT TIME ON…
Everyone throws up their arms and cheers, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

[Doorbell ringing]
