[Doorbell ringing]

[Energetic music plays]

[Whistling]

In the Makeaway Takeaway restaurant, various craft supplies fill fridges, cover countertops, and adorn menus, including bottles of paint, scissors, sponges, ribbon, and a box of paintbrushes and pens. Host Bec Hill talks on her banana phone. Bec wears her long, curly pink hair in an updo. In her Makeaway Takeaway uniform, she wears a yellow polo shirt with a light blue collar, and a dark blue skirt with suspenders over light blue shorts. Bec paints a self-portrait with bubble wrap. Plates, cups, paint, sunglasses, balled-up paper, and straws move on a conveyor belt. Bec pulls a bucket off her head. Three children paint. Bec paints a drawing of an orange, a pear and a banana. Bec announces the title.

Bec says, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

[Doorbell ringing]

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

At Makeaway Takeaway, Bec balances a stack of books and magazines on her head and walks behind the front counter. A card lies on the counter.

Bec walks backward.

Bec turns and says, OH, HELLO.

[Bec laughing awkwardly]

Bec says, HI, I'M BEC. WELCOME TO MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

Bec throws her arms up and knocks the books and magazines off her head.

[Crashing]

Bec groans, AW, BUM!

[Bec gasping]

Bec says, I MEAN BOTHER.

Bec looks embarrassed.

Bec says, WHILE I PICK THESE UP, HERE'S TODAY'S MENU.

Bec ducks behind the counter toward the books and magazines on the floor.

[Upbeat music plays]

[Whooshing]

Rolls of paper unravel. Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Upbeat music continues]

Bec narrates, COMING UP ON TODAY'S SHOW…

[Paint splattering]

Bec paints a piece of string glued to a small piece of cardboard with black paint.

Bec narrates, I STRING TOGETHER AN IMPRESSIVE TECHNIQUE.

Bec presses the painted string onto the artwork with pink, red and yellow tissue paper.

Bec narrates, I GET A CALL FROM SOME CUSTOMERS WHO NEED SOMETHING FUN FOR A RAINY DAY.

In a craft room, two children wear blue Makeaway Takeaway aprons.

Bec narrates, AND WE MAKE A FLYING SURPRISE AT A FANTASTIC FESTIVAL!

At a festival, Bec carries a giant kite out of a tent.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

[Whistling]

In the takeaway, Bec pops up from behind the counter with her books and magazines.

[Bec sighing]

Bec glances at the card on the counter.

Bec says, I'VE BEEN INVITED TO A FANCY PARTY TONIGHT. SO I'M DOING SOME FANCY TRAINING, SO I FIT IN.

Bec stacks her books and magazines.

Bec says, THESE BOOKS ARE SUPPOSED TO HELP WITH MY POSH-TURE. WHICH IS LIKE POSTURE, BUT POSHER.

Bec balances the books and magazines on her head.

Bec says, I NORMALLY GET SENT HOME FROM PARTIES, BECAUSE I MAKE A FOOL OF MYSELF.

Bec takes a few steps away from the counter.

Bec says, BUT TONIGHT, I'LL SHOW THEM.

Bec shouts, I'LL SHOW THEM ALL!

[Dramatic music briefly plays]

Bec throws her hands in the air, and the books and magazines fall off her head.

[Crashing]

Bec glances at the books and magazines, which include a magazine with a beetle on the back.

Bec says, OOH!

Bec grabs the beetle magazine.

Bec says, THIS GIVES ME AN IDEA FOR...

[Exciting music plays]

Bec cheers, ...A TAKEAWAY TECHNIQUE!

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

Bec takes a seat at the lunch table with the beetle magazine, a large piece of light green paper, two pairs of scissors, a dish of paint, a paintbrush, a glue stick, a square piece of cardboard and crinkled pink, yellow and red tissue paper.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU A STRING PRINTING TECHNIQUE USING THIS PICTURE FROM AN OLD MAGAZINE.

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

Bec says, I'LL START BY CUTTING THE PICTURE OUT.

Bec cuts the beetle picture out of the last page of the magazine using a pair of scissors.

Bec says, AND THEN GLUE IT TO A PIECE OF CARD.

Bec glues the beetle to the piece of cardboard with the glue stick.

Bec says, COVER THE PICTURE IN GLUE.

Bec spreads glue across the beetle.

Bec says, AND THEN, WHILE THE GLUE'S STILL WET, TAKING SOME STRING, AND I'M GOING TO TRACE AROUND THE OUTLINES OF THE BEETLE.

Bec outlines the body of the beetle with a white string.

Bec says, LET'S GIVE IT A BIT OF A SNIP.

Bec trims the string.

Bec says, AND DO THESE LINES ON THE BEETLE'S BACK.

Bec glues lines of string to lines on the beetle’s back.

Bec says, YOU COULD EVEN USE THIS TECHNIQUE ON YOUR OWN PICTURES!

[Gentle, cheerful music continues]

Bec presses pieces of string onto the beetle’s limbs and around its head.

Bec says, I FINISH UP THE STRING WITH A LOVELY SPIRAL PATTERN, FOR THE FACE. WHILE THE GLUE DRIES, I'M GONNA MAKE A BACKGROUND FOR MY BEETLE PICTURE.

Bec sets the cardboard aside and grabs a piece of yellow tissue paper.

[Gentle, funky music plays]

Bec says, I'M USING SCRAPS OF TISSUE PAPER LEFT OVER FROM OPENING PRESENTS, AND I'M STICKING THEM DOWN WITH A GLUE STICK.

Bec glues scraps of yellow tissue paper to the green sheet of paper.

Bec says, I'LL USE SOME DIFFERENT COLOURS.

Bec adds red scraps of tissue paper.

Bec says, HERE WE ARE. YOU CAN PUT THEM DOWN IN ANY PATTERN YOU LIKE.

Bec glues a piece of pink tissue paper over a patch of red and yellow tissue paper.

Bec says, OOH, THAT'S A NICE COLOUR. I'M HAPPY WITH THAT! TIME TO PRINT!

Bec grabs her beetle and says, HERE'S MY PICTURE, IT'S PRETTY DRY, SO I'M GOING TO TAKE SOME BLACK PAINT AND I'M GONNA PAINT OVER IT, AIMING FOR THE STRING.

Bec dips her paintbrush in a cup of black paint and paints over the string on the beetle.

Bec says, THE KEY IS TO TRY AND GET IN ON AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.

Bec covers the beetle and sets her paint and paintbrush aside.

Bec says, AND ONCE IT'S ALL PAINTED, WE'RE READY TO PRINT.

Bec pulls her green sheet closer.

Bec says, THIS IS GOING TO ACT LIKE A STAMP. PRESS DOWN FIRMLY, SO THE PAINT TRANSFERS FROM THE STRING ONTO THE PAPER.

Bec presses the painted string down onto the middle of the green paper and over the different tissue paper.

Bec says, I'M EXCITED TO SEE HOW IT LOOKS.

Bec removes the cardboard, revealing the string-stamped beetle on the paper.

Bec says, OH! I'M HAPPY WITH THAT. AND I THINK THIS BEETLE NEEDS SOME LEAVES.

Bec pulls out a smaller piece of cardboard with a leaf-shaped string stamp.

Bec says, HERE'S ONE I'VE ALREADY MADE. I'LL JUST ADD SOME BLACK PAINT.

Bec paints the string glued to the cardboard black.

Bec says, YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE BLACK, YOU COULD USE ANY COLOUR YOU LIKE. I'LL DO ONE OVER HERE.

Bec stamps the leaf onto the bottom left corner of the green paper and over the different tissue paper. She presses the string onto the paper and then lifts it off.

Bec says, ONE HERE.

Bec presses the leaf string stamp onto the top right corner of the paper.

Bec says, I LIKE THIS, BECAUSE YOU NEVER GET THE SAME PRINT TWICE.

Bec removes the stamp and leaves a lighter leaf.

Bec says, HERE.

Bec stamps a leaf near the bottom right corner.

Bec says, I THINK ONE MORE LEAF. OVER HERE.

Bec stamps a faint leaf in the bottom left corner.

Bec says, AND THERE IS A PICTURE OF A BEETLE, MADE USING A STRING PRINTING TECHNIQUE.

The beetle artwork sparkles.

[Chimes]

[Paint splattering]

[Fancy music plays]

Later at Makeaway Takeaway, Bec stands behind the front counter with a tiered dessert stand, a jar of strawberry jam and a bowl of cream. Scones cover the two lower tiers on the stand.

Bec says, I NORMALLY TAKE FIZZY POP TO PARTIES, AND BURP THE ALPHABET. BUT BECAUSE THIS IS A "FANCY" PARTY, I'M TAKING SOME FANCY FOOD.

Bec holds up a scone and says, SCONE!

Bec drops the scone.

Bec frowns and says, S'GONE!

Bec glances toward the jam and cream on the counter.

Bec asks, DO YOU DO JAM OR CREAM FIRST? I DO BOTH!

Bec scoops a spoonful of cream into the half-full jar of jam and stirs them together.

[Squelching]

[Record scratching]

Bec says, YUM!

Bec scoops a spoonful of jam and cream onto half a scone.

[Squelching]

Bec says, AW, YEAH, THIS ISN'T JUST ANY SCONE, IT'S MY SPECIAL MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY SCONE.

Bec picks up the half-scone and says, MMM.

[Ringing]

An order ticket prints from the Makeaway Takeaway order screen.

[Printer whirring]

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

Bec looks at her scone and says, I'LL SAVE YOU FOR LATER.

Bec puts the scone on her plate and runs over to the order screen.

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

Bec watches a video of the two children. The first child, a boy with short blond hair, wears a green T-shirt. The second, a girl wearing her long brown hair in pigtails, wears a sleeveless pink shirt.

Both children say, HELLO, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

The brown-haired girl says, BEC, WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP.

The blond-haired boy says, OUR FAMILY PLANNED TO GO TO THE BEACH, BUT IT'S TURNED INTO A SOGGY DAY. SO OUR TRIP OUT HAS BEEN CANCELLED, AND WE'RE NOW BORED AT HOME.

Both children ask, CAN YOU HELP US?!

Bec says, OH, SOUNDS LIKE A WASH-OUT! ONCE ARTY DELIVERY COMING RIGHT UP!

Bec grabs the order ticket and leaves the takeaway.

[Energetic music plays]

In a comic book panel, Bec ties the laces on her pink sneakers and straightens her socks. She snaps her suspenders and puts on a Makeaway Takeaway visor. Bec puts on a craft tool belt which carries a paint roller, pen, scissors and other craft supplies. She straightens the collar of her shirt, winks, and gives a thumbs-up.

Bec says, LET'S DO THIS!

Bec takes off running.

[Whooshing]

In front of a car, the blond-haired boy lowers his sunglasses.

[Chill music plays]

The blond-haired boy says, HELLO, MY NAME IS BOBBY. AND HERE'S MY LITTLE SISTER, AURORA.

Aurora wears a hat, sunglasses and holds a plastic beach shovel. Behind Bobby and Aurora, a woman with long blond hair and a man with short grey hair, push beach toys into the back of the car.

Bobby says, WE LOVE GOING ON HOLIDAY.

Aurora says, WE ALSO LIKE GOING TO THE BEACH.

[Thunder crashing]

A dark cloud passes over Bobby and Aurora.

Bobby and Aurora wail, OH NO! NO!

Indoors, Bobby, Aurora and their parents sit on the couch with deflated beach toys.

[Everyone sighing]

The family looks disappointed.

Bobby says, HELP, BEC! OUR SUNNY DAY AT THE BEACH HAS TURNED INTO A BORING SOFA DAY.

Aurora asks, CAN YOU MAKE SOMETHING TO CHEER US ALL UP?

[Doorbell ringing]

The blond-haired woman says, OH! THAT WAS QUICK.

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

In a craft room, Bobby and Aurora wear blue Makeaway Takeaway aprons. Beck joins them at a table and takes off her visor. Craft supplies including pencils and markers, paint, scissors, and cardboard tubes cover either side of the table.,

Bec says, HI BOBBY, HI AURORA!

Bobby and Aurora say, HELLO, BEC!

Bec asks, HOW CAN I HELP?

Aurora says, WE'RE REALLY BORED AT HOME. CAN YOU HELP US?

Bec says, I ABSOLUTELY CAN! YOU MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO GO TO THE BEACH, BUT I CAN BRING THE BEACH TO YOU. WE'RE GOING TO MAKE THE FISH AND CHIP GAME!

A game featuring stacked blue fish and rectangular tubes is shown.

[Fanfare plays]

[Cheering and applause]

[Paint splattering]

At the craft table, Bec says, WE'LL START WITH SOME CARBOARD TUBES FROM THE RECYCLING. AND WE'RE GOING TO SQUISH DOWN ONE END.

Bec, Bobby and Aurora each grab a long cardboard tube and flatten one end with the heel of their hand.

Bec says, GOOD SQUISHING! NEXT, GET SOME P.V.A., GRAB A BRUSH, AND GLUE THE ENDS.

Bec, Bobby and Aurora brush P.V.A. glue on the walls in the flattened end of the tubes with paintbrushes.

Bec says, MAKE SURE YOU PUT DOWN SOME OLD NEWSPAPER OR DO THIS OUTSIDE, BECAUSE P.V.A. CAN GET A LITTLE BIT MESSY.

Bec presses the flattened end of her tube together and glues it closed.

Bec says, POP IT DOWN AND SQUISH IT BACK! BLEH! MY TUBE'S GOT A RUNNY NOSE.

Glue spills out of Bec’s tube.

[Bobby and Aurora giggling]

Bec says, GRAB A CLOTHES PEG, POP IT ON THE END, AND THAT'LL MAKE SURE THAT IT DRIES STUCK TOGETHER.

Bec clips a clothespin onto the flattened end of her tube. Boby and Aurora clip their tubes closed.

Bec says, NEXT, WE'RE GOING TO TURN IT AROUND, AND SQUISH THE OTHER END.

Bec, Bobby, and Aurora flatten the other end of their tubes between their fingers.

Bec says, WE'LL GLUE IT TOGETHER IN A MOMENT, BUT FIRST, WE NEED TO MAKE SOME FISH TAILS. AND THIS IS GOING TO BE A FISH.

Bec sets her tube down and grabs three square pieces of blue paper.

Bec says, WE'VE GOT THESE BITS OF BLUE CARD THAT I'VE CUT THE EXACT SAME SIZE AS THE TUBE.

The squares are the same width of the flattened tube ends.

Bec says, I'VE GOT THREE HERE. TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE FISH TAILS MATCH, I'M GOING TO HOLD THEM TOGETHER WHILE I CUT THEM.

Bec holds the squares together and cuts three triangles into one side.

Bec says, AND NOW WE HAVE THREE MATCHING FISH TAILS. LET'S POP SOME MORE GLUE IN FIRST.

Bec, Bobby and Aurora paint glue into the open end of their cardboard tubes. Bec opens and closes her mouth and tube like a fish. She slides her fish tail card into the tube.

Bec says, AND WE CAN STICK IN OUR FISH TAILS. YOU MIGHT NEED TO SQUEEZE YOUR TUBE AGAIN.

Bobby and Aurora squeeze the ends of their tubes flat and slide their fish tail cards in.

Bec asks, HOW'S YOURS LOOKING, BOBBY?

Bobby says, GOOD.

Bec says, EXCELLENT. I'M JUST GRABBING TWO MORE CLOTHES PEGS, POPPING THEM ON THE ENDS, AND WE CAN LEAVE THOSE TO DRY.

Bec holds the fish tail end of the tube closed and places a clothespin on either side.

[Whooshing]

Later at the craft table, Bec asks, ALRIGHT, ARE THEY DRY?

Bec, Bobby and Aurora pick up their tubes.

Bobby says, YES, IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S DRY TO ME.

Bec says, GOOD! THEN WE CAN TAKE THE PEGS OFF!

Bec, Bobby and Aurora take the clothespins off the tubes.

Bec says, THEY DON'T QUITE LOOK LIKE FISH YET, DO THEY?

Bobby and Aurora shake their heads and say, NO.

Bobby says, NOT EXACTLY.

Bec says, NO, SO WE'RE GOING TO GIVE OUR FISH A HEAD, BY CUTTING A SEMI-CIRCLE ON THE END.

Bec, Bobby and Aurora cut the plain ends of their cardboard tubes into semi-circles with their scissors.

Bec says, WE'VE GOT OUR FISH'S HEADS, NOW I'M CUTTING INTO THE SIDES TO MAKE THE BACK END LOOK MORE LIKE A TAIL.

On the tail end of the tube, Bec trims a slight curve into the cardboard and forms the shape of a tail.

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

Later at the craft table, Bec says, WE'VE GOT SOME GREAT FISH SHAPES HERE! LET'S START PAINTING! GRAB YOUR POTS.

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

Bobby and Aurora grab small plastic containers of light blue and dark blue paint. Bec, Bobby and Aurora start painting the body of their cardboard fish light blue.

Bec says, SADLY, YOU CAN'T GO TO THE SEASIDE TODAY, BUT WHEN YOU DO, WHAT'S THE BEST THING ABOUT IT, AURORA?

Aurora says, CLIMB UP THE SAND, OR MAKE SAND CASTLES?

Bec says, OH YEAH! I LOVE A SAND CASTLE.

Bec, Bobby and Aurora paint the curved heads of their fish dark blue.

Bec says, ONCE WE'VE PAINTED BOTH SIDES THE SAME, WE'LL LEAVE IT TO DRY.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the craft table, Bobby and Aurora’s cardboard fish have black, drawn-on scales.

Bec says, OUR FISH HAVE DRIED, AND WE'RE JUST ADDING ON SOME DETAILS WITH BLACK PEN.

Bec starts drawing at the head of her fish.

Bec says, WE'RE ADDING SOME SCALES BY DOING THESE BIG CURVES, LIKE I'M DRAWING LOTS OF MS.

Bec draws her curved M fish scales down the body of her fish.

Bec says, WE'VE DONE BOTH SIDES. BOBBY AND AURORA, YOURS ARE ALREADY DONE, SO LET'S ADD ON SOME EYES, AND A BIG SMILE.

Bobby and Aurora smile. Bec holds googly eyes over her eyes. She sticks out her tongue and tilts her head side to side. Bobby purses his lips and glances toward Aurora.

[Bec laughing]

Bec says, OUR GOOGLY EYES ARE STICKY, BUT IF YOU'RE AREN'T YOU CAN JUST USE GLUE.

Bec glues a googly eye onto her fish and draws on a smile.

Bec says, THAT'S HOW WE MAKE THE FISH, BUT FOR A FISH AND CHIP GAME, YOU NEED SOME CHIPS! THEY'RE EASY-PEASY. JUST TAKE A TOOTHPASTE BOX, AND PAINT IT.

Bec holds up a toothpaste box and a toothpaste box painted brown as fries, also known as chips.

Bec says, I'VE DONE THIS YELLOW, WITH A BIT OF BROWN FOR CRISPINESS.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the table, nine cardboard fish and nine toothpaste box fries lie on opposite sides of a square piece of newspaper with the edges folded up.

Bec says, THIS GAME NEEDS NINE FISH, AND NINE CHIPS. I'VE MADE A NEWSPAPER BASE, AND I'VE CUT OUT FORKS FROM RECYCLED CARDBOARD.

Bec holds up a strip of cardboard with a forked end.

Bec says, LET'S PLAY!

[Gentle, upbeat music plays]

Bec lays three cardboard box fries on the newspaper base.

Bec says, PUT THESE THIS WAY.

Bec, Bobby and Aurora form a tower of cardboard box fries and cardboard tube fish with the tubes and boxes placed in opposite directions.

Bec says, LAST BIT.

Bobby and Aurora place the last three fish on top of the tower.

Bec says, LOVELY. RIGHT, WHO WANTS TO GO FIRST?

Bobby raises his hand.

Bec says, OKAY, BOBBY. I WANT YOU TO USE YOUR FORK TO PUSH OUT ONE OF THE CHIPS.

Bobby starts to push a cardboard box fry out from between a layer of fish with his cardboard fork.

Bec says, OH!

One of the fish on the top row starts to move.

Bec says, AH!

Bobby successfully removes the fry from the tower.

Bec says, AW! THAT WAS GOOD! ALRIGHT, YOU'VE MADE THIS VERY DIFFICULT FOR ME ALREADY.

Bec pokes at a fry from a lower level on the tower.

Bec says, COME ON, LITTLE CHIPPY!

The tower wobbles.

Bec says, OH.

[Bec gasping]

AW... AW...!

The tower falls.

Bec says, AW!

Bobby and Aurora say, AW!

Bec says, THAT IS THE FISH AND CHIP GAME.

Bec glances at Bobby and Aurora and asks, ANOTHER ROUND?

Bobby and Aurora say, YEP!

Bec and Aurora start to restack their tower.

[Paint splattering]

On their couch, Bobby and Aurora watch their dad play the fish and chip game. Their mom sits on the floor opposite their dad. Their dad knocks a cardboard fry out of the tower.

Bobby and Aurora’s dad says, AH!

Bobby says, THE RAIN MAY HAVE STOPPED US FROM GOING TO THE BEACH, BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER, 'CAUSE WE'RE HAVING SO MUCH FUN PLAYING THIS GAME!

Aurora holds up a fish and a fry.

Aurora says, THANKS, BEC!

The whole family says, IT'S BRILLIANT!

At Makeaway Takeaway, Bec stands by the back counter with Bobby and Aurora’s order ticket.

Bec says, MORE HAPPY CUSTOMERS.

Bec places the ticket in a tray on the back counter.

[Register ding]

Bec turns to the front counter.

Bec says, NOW BACK TO MY DELICIOUS SCONE!

Bec reaches for her jam and cream-covered scone.

Bec says, OOH!

Bec pulls back her hand and says, NO, ALMOST FORGOT. WHERE ARE MY MANNERS?

Bec grabs a napkin and tucks it under the collar of her shirt.

Bec says, CLASSY PEOPLE SAY YOU SHOULD NEVER CHEW WITH YOUR MOUTH OPEN.

Bec grabs her scone. She keeps her mouth closed and smears jam and cream over her mouth and across her face.

Bec says, MMM!

Bec drops the scone and says, MMM! DELICIOUS.

Bec dabs the corners of her cream and jam-covered mouth with her napkin.

Bec says, I'M SO READY FOR THIS FANCY PARTY! BUT FIRST, I'M GOING TO WASH MY FACE, AND DO SOME PAPER PUPPETRY!

Bec steps away from the counter.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

[Gentle, funky music plays]

Bec stands beside a large pad of paper with artwork of a fly wearing a top hat and bow tie with a covered plate. Bec rubs her hands together and lifts the tin foil plate cover off the plate, revealing a pile of trash. Bec pulls a paper lever sticking out of the side of the and a drawing of a slimy substance slides out of the fly’s mouth.

[Oozing]

Bec cringes in disgust. She raises and lowers the lever.

[Oozing]

Bec sticks out her tongue.

[Whooshing]

Later, Bec stands behind the front counter with two slices of bread on a cutting board. Jam and cream scone sandwiches cover the tiered stand beside her.

Bec says, I'M MAKING SOME CUCUMBER SANDWICHES FOR THE FANCY PARTY.

Bec drops a whole cucumber on a slice of bread and lays the other bread slice on top.

Bec frowns and says, HM. THEY USUALLY LOOK FLATTER THAN THIS.

Bec smacks the sandwich with a thick, hard-cover book and flattens the bread over the cucumber.

[Squelching]

Bec sets the book aside and throws up her hands.

Bec says, VOILA! AW, IT LOOKS AS PRETTY AS A RAINBOW.

Bec lays the cucumber sandwich on the top tier of her stand.

[Angelic music briefly plays]

Bec says, WHICH GIVES ME AN IDEA FOR A MEGA MINI-MAKE!

Bec runs over to the Mega Mini Make table on the other side of the room.

[Paint splattering]

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

Bec takes a seat with her supplies laid out, which include a small cardboard tube, a take-out coffee cup, scissors, markers, a glue stick, paint and different-coloured candy wrappers.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A PORTABLE RAINBOW. I'M STARTING WITH A RECYCLED PAPER CUP, AND A CARDBOARD TUBE.

Bec flips the cup upside down and places the cardboard tube on top.

Bec says, YOU'LL NEED A TORCH LATER TOO. FIRST, DRAW AROUND THE TUBE. DON'T WORRY IF IT'S A BIT MESSY, THE LINE WILL BE COVERED UP LATER.

Bec traces the tube with her black marker.

Bec says, THERE WE GO. USING A PAIR OF SCISSORS, I'M GOING TO POKE A HOLE THROUGH THE TOP, AND CUT IT OUT.

Bec cuts the circle out of the bottom of the cup.

Bec says, I'VE GOT SOME SWEET WRAPPERS... YOU CAN TELL HOW MANY SWEETS I'VE BEEN EATING, BECAUSE THERE'S QUITE A FEW! I'M GOING TO CUT THEM INTO STRIPS. I'VE ALREADY DONE ORANGE, YELLOW, GREEN, AND BLUE. I'LL ADD A PURPLE.

Bec cuts a strip out of a purple wrapper and adds it to her pile of other wrapper strips.

Bec says, AND A RED.

Bec cuts a strip out of a red wrapper.

Bec says, I'LL TAKE THE CUP, AND ADD LOADS OF GLUE, AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE HOLE.

Bec spreads glue around the bottom of the coffee cup with her glue stick.

Bec says, THEN I'M LAYING THE STRIPS OVER THE TOP OF THE HOLE. IN THE RAINBOW COLOUR.

Bec glues the rainbow strips side by side across the bottom of the cup in a rainbow pattern, so the ends hang over the edge of the cup.

Bec says, IT'S OKAY IF THEY OVERLAP, BECAUSE THAT WILL CREATE A SPECTRUM. NOW I'M GOING TO TRIM AROUND THE EDGES.

Bec trims the strips hanging over the edges with her scissors.

Bec says, BRINGING BACK THE CARBOARD TUBE, I'M GOING TO CUT INTO THE END, AND CREATE SOME TABS.

Bec cuts short, evenly spaced lines into the bottom of the cardboard tube.

Bec says, OKAY. AND THEN SPLAYING OUT THE EDGES.

She folds the cut edges outward.

Bec says, ADD SOME GLUE.

Bec spreads glue across the splayed edges.

Bec says, STICK IT OVER THE TOP.

Bec presses the tube and its splayed edges onto the bottom of the coffee cup.

Bec says, TIME TO PAINT! I'M PAINTING THE TUBE A SKY BLUE, BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE YOU FIND RAINBOWS!

Bec paints the cardboard tube light blue and the coffee cup black.

Bec says, I'M PAINTING THE CUP BLACK, LIKE THE POT YOU'D FIND AT THE END OF A RAINBOW. SOMETIMES THEY'RE FILLED WITH GOLD!

[Paint splattering]

Later at the Mega Mini Make table, the cardboard tube stands upright with the coffee cup on top. The tube has white clouds, and the cup has gold spots.

Bec says, I'VE PAINTED IT, AND I'VE ALMOST FINISHED DECORATING. I'VE ADDED SOME CLOUDS TO THE SKY, AND I'M JUST PUTTING SOME GOLD COINS ON HERE.

Bec presses a piece of circular gold confetti onto the cup under the rim.

Bec says, AND THERE IS YOUR PORTABLE RAINBOW. SHALL WE GIVE IT A TRY? I'VE GOT MY TORCH, LET'S TURN OUT THE LIGHTS.

Bec claps her hands twice.

[Clapping]

The lights darken. Bec aims the cup at the wall beside her and she shines a flashlight, also known as a torch, through the tube. Rainbow colours appear on the wall.

Bec says, IT'S SO PRETTY!

[Bec gasping]

Bec rotates the cup and says, WOW, LOOK AT THE COLOURS!

[Paint splattering]

Later, at the lunch table, the lights are on, and Bec sits with a cup of tea.

Bec says, THERE'S NOTHING FANCIER THAN DRINKING TEA AT A PARTY.

[Elegant music plays]

Bec says, OOP, LITTLE FINGER UP.

Bec raises her pinky finger. She lowers her head toward the cup and pokes herself in the eye.

Bec says, OW!

Bec covers her eye and says, AH, AW, DRINKING TEA IS DANGEROUS!

[Ringing]

A bell icon appears on the Makeaway Takeaway order screen.

[Bec gasping]

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

Bec walks over to the order screen.

On a video call, a black-haired girl says, THE MAKE OF THE DAY!

The black-haired girl wears a red long-sleeved shirt. Bec grins.

The black-haired girl says, MY NAME'S RAIMA, AND I'M FROM SUNNY HULL.

Bec says, HI, RAIMA!

Raima asks, WHAT CAN YOU MAKE OUT OF THESE THREE INGREDIENTS?

Bec looks curious.

Raima says, A COAT HANGER, TIN FOIL, AND SOME NEWSPAPER.

The front counter conveyor belt starts moving and carries out a grey coat hanger, square sheets of tin foil, and a pile of pieces of newspaper.

Bec says, HMM. I'LL NEED SOME HELP, RAIMA. WHAT'S THE BEST PARTY YOU'VE EVER BEEN TO?

Raima says, I ONCE DRESSED UP AS MY FAVOURITE WIZARD FOR A PARTY, BECAUSE I LOVE MAGIC.

Bec says, AH, THAT SOUNDS AWESOME! IN FACT, THAT'S GIVEN ME AND IDEA.

Bec snaps her fingers and says, ONE MAKE OF THE DAY COMING RIGHT UP!

Bec walks over to the front counter with the ingredients and crafting supplies, including cups of paint, a glue stick, and a bowl.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A HILARIOUS HANGER WITH RAIMA'S INGREDIENTS.

[Point splattering]

Bec wears a papier mâché wizard’s mask with a white beard and blue hat.

[Fanfare plays]

[Cheering and applause]

Bec wiggles her eyebrows and crosses her eyes.

[Paint splattering]

At the front counter, Bec says, I'M STARTING WITH A LARGE PIECE OF RECYCLED CARDBOARD, AND TAKING RAIMA'S FIRST INGREDIENT, THE COAT HANGER. AND TRACE AROUND IT. NOW, I'M GOING TO TURN THIS INTO A WIZARD HILARIOUS HANGER, BECAUSE I THINK RAIMA WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE THAT.

[Gentle, funky music plays]

Bec traces the coat hanger onto a large sheet of cardboard using a black marker.

Bec says, THIS'LL BE THE WIZARD'S SHOULDERS. WE'RE GOING TO MAKE A HOLE, SO TAKE A BOWL OR A PLATE ROUGHLY THE SAME SIZE AS YOUR FACE.

Bec holds her bowl over her face.

Bec lowers the bowl and says, THAT'S GOOD ENOUGH, AND WE'LL DRAW AROUND IT.

Bec places the bowl over the hook of the coat hanger. She traces the bowl and sets it aside.

Bec says, BECAUSE I WANT THIS TO BE A WIZARD, I'M GOING TO DO A WIZARD SHAPE, SO I THINK THIS CAN BE THE WIZARD'S MOUSTACHE.

Bec draws a thick moustache over the hook of the coat hanger within the circle of the bowl tracing.

Bec says, THEN WE'LL HAVE THE LONG, FLOWY HAIR, A LOVELY LONG, FLOWY WIZARD BEARD, AND LET'S GIVE THE WIZARD A MAGIC HAT, WITH A HOOK AT THE END, SO WE CAN HANG IT UP IN THE WARDROBE LATER.

Bec draws a beard, hat and hair around the coat hanger and circle.

Bec says, NOW, CUT IT OUT!

Bec cuts into the cardboard with her scissors.

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

Later at the counter, Bec holds up the cardboard cut-out with the circle over her face.

Bec says, I'VE CUT OUT MY SHAPE.

Bec places the cardboard on the counter and grabs the coat hanger.

Bec says, AND NOW I'M GOING TO STICK THE COAT HANGER TO IT.

Bec places the coat hanger on the coat hanger outline on the cardboard.

[Gentle music plays]

Bec says, IT DOESN'T HAVE TO LOOK PERFECT, BECAUSE SOON WE'RE GOING TO BE COVERING THIS UP.

Bec tapes the coat hanger to the cardboard with masking tape.

Bec says, NEXT, I'M GOING TO ADD SOME 3D ELEMENTS WITH RAIMA'S SECOND INGREDIENT, THE NEWSPAPER. I'M GOING TO TAKE SOME STRIPS.

Bec crumples and rolls a strip of folded newspaper.

Bec says, I'M ROLLING THE NEWSPAPER UP INTO SAUSAGES, AND STICKING IT DOWN WITH MASKING TAPE TO BUILD UP THE AREAS. THIS'LL TAKE AWHILE, BUT IT'S QUITE RELAXING. KEEP STICKING DOWN THE SAUSAGES TO BUILD A BEARD, A MOUSTACHE, SOME BUSHY EYEBROWS, AND A RIM FOR THE HAT.

Bec tapes strips of crumpled newspaper onto the cardboard and shapes a beard and moustache.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the front counter, Bec tapes strips of crumpled newspaper onto the cardboard and shapes eyebrows and a hat.

Bec says, I'VE FINISHED STICKING DOWN THE 3D SAUSAGES, NOW IT'S TIME TO PAPIER MÂCHÉ!

[Gentle music continues]

Bec says, I'VE WATERED DOWN SOME P.V.A. TO GIVE IT A NICE, RUNNY CONSISTENCY.
I'LL KEEP GOING 'TIL IT'S ALL COVERED, AND THEN LET IT DRY.

Bec dips single strips of newspaper into a dish of watered-down P.V.A. glue and lays them over her crumpled newspaper and around the cardboard wizard hanger.

[Whooshing]

Later at the counter, Bec says, THE PAPIER MÂCHÉ IS DRY, SO I'M GOING TO PAINT THE WIZARD. I'LL GIVE THE WIZARD A LOVELY NAVY CLOAK.

Bec starts painting the wizard with dark blue paint.

Bec says, I LIKE THIS COLOUR. IT'S LIKE THE NIGHT SKY. I THINK HE SHOULD HAVE A WHITE BEARD.

Bec paints the wizard’s thick beard white.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO KEEP PAINTING, AND ONCE I'M DONE I'LL LEAVE IT TO DRY.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the counter, the wizard’s hat is blue, and his moustache and eyebrows are white.

Bec says, I'VE FINISHED PAINTING, I ADDED SOME SHADING TO THE WIZARD'S BEARD, AND SOME HIGHLIGHTS TO HIS HAT.

[Gentle, upbeat music plays]

Bec says, AND FINALLY, I'LL GIVE THE BEARD AND THE EYEBROWS SOME DETAILS WITH BLACK PEN. SOME LINES ON THE MOUSTACHE.

Bec draws wavy lines on the wizard’s moustache.

Bec says, SOME BEARDY SWIRLS.

Bec draws swirls on the wizard’s beard.

Bec says, RAIMA LIKES WIZARDS, BUT YOU CAN MAKE ANY CHARACTER YOU WANT.

Bec adds curved lines to the wizard’s eyebrows.

Bec says, FINALLY, I'M GOING TO USE RAIMA'S THIRD INGREDIENT, THE TINFOIL, TO ADD SOME SHINY STARS TO THE HAT.

Bec grabs a tin foil star and her glue stick.

Bec says, ADD A BIT OF GLUE.

Bec spreads glue on the wizard’s hat.

Bec says, ONE UP HERE. IT'S OKAY IF IT GOES OVER, BECAUSE THE GLUE WILL DRY CLEAR.

Bec glues down tin foil stars to the wizard’s hat.

Bec says, THERE WE GO. ALL FINISHED!

Bec holds up her finger and says, WAIT A MOMENT.

Bec grabs the wizard and ducks behind the counter.

[Whooshing]

Bec stands and holds the wizard up by the hook in its hat. A Makeaway Takeaway polo shirt hangs on the coat hanger.

Bec says, AND THERE IS YOUR HILARIOUS HANGER!

Bec holds the wizard over her face so the mouth lines up with her mouth.

Bec says, PERFECT FOR TURNING ANY OUTFIT INTO SOMETHING FUN.

Bec moves the wizard and says, WHILE I BAG THIS UP FOR RAIMA, HERE'S SOME OTHER IDEAS.

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

A picture shows Bec’s face in a Frankenstein’s monster hanger.

Bec narrates, HOW ABOUT A MEGA MONSTER HANGER?

Another picture shows Bec’s face in a princess hangar

Bec narrates, OR A ROYAL PRINCESS?

In the takeaway, Bec slides a takeout bag into the delivery hatch.

Bec says, MAKE-US AWAY-US!

A button beside the hatch lights up, and the platform inside rises.

[Beeping]

Bec glances at her hands with a look of awe.

[Paint splattering]

At Raima’s house, Raima pulls the wizard hanger out of the takeout bag.

Raima says, WHOA! LOOK AT THIS! IT'S AMAZING, I LOVE IT!

Raima holds the hanger over her face.

Raima asks, HOW DO I LOOK?

At the takeaway, Bec says, ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER.

Bec steps away from the hatch.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

Later at Makeaway Takeaway, Bec walks in with her tiered stand.

[Sad music plays]

Bec drops her stand on the lunch table.

Bec says, I HAD TO LEAVE THE PARTY EARLY BECAUSE I MADE A FOOL OF MYSELF, AGAIN!

Bec pulls her invitation card out of her apron.

Bec says, I DIDN'T READ THE INVITE PROPERLY. IT WASN'T A FANCY PARTY, IT WAS A FANCY DRESS PARTY!

[Bec sighing]

[Doorbell ringing]

Bec furrows her brow.

Bec asks, WHO COULD THAT BE?

Bec steps toward the entrance.

[Bell ringing]

Bec stumbles back.

Bec says, WHAT?

[Upbeat dance music plays]

People in animal costumes dance into the takeaway, including a person in a cow costume, a shark costume and an elephant costume.

A singer sings, WHOO!

Other people in costumes dance into the restaurant, including a person in a horse costume and a moose costume. Bec smiles and starts dancing.

The singer sings, COME ON.

Bec says, IT TURNS OUT I MADE QUITE AN IMPRESSION AT THE PARTY. THE GUESTS THOUGHT I WAS FUN!

[Ringing]

Bec says, THE BANANA PHONE!

Bec dances her way over to the Mega Mini Make table.

Bec says, SHHH!

[Music stops]

Bec answers a call on the banana phone.

[Beeping]

Bec says, HELLO, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

On the other end of the call, at a festival, a girl with long, red streaked brown hair wears a yellow visor and a denim dress over a blue T-shirt with a cheetah print.

The brown-haired girl says, HI, BEC, I'M BETSY.

Bec nods.

Betsy asks, CAN YOU DELIVER AN ARTY SURPRISE FOR THE BRILLIANT CHARLES ALLEN, WHO WORKS AT DEER SHED FESTIVAL?

Bec says, A FESTIVAL?! THAT SOUNDS LIKE MY KIND OF PARTY!

Bec ends the call.

[Beeping]

Bec says, COME ON, EVERYONE! IT'S TIME TO SPLIT!

Bec puts down the banana phone and leaves.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

[Upbeat music plays]

At the Deer Shed Festival, people dance and sit on the grass in front of a large stage. Wearing her visor and craft tool belt, Bec grins.

Bec says, DEER SHED FESTIVAL!

Bec waves her arms. The person in an elephant costume follows her and waves their hands. Elsewhere at the festival, a face painter paints orange and yellow lines onto a girl’s face. A blonde-haired man paints glittery streaks onto Bec’s cheek. Bec grins and gives a thumbs up. At a line of portable toilets, Bec steps into one and walks out of another. She looks around in confusion. Elsewhere on the festival site, Betsy peeks out of a tent with a woman who has long, bright pink and orange hair. In a crowd, Betsy and the woman stand with a grey-haired man wearing a blue reflective vest, and they watch a woman make bubbles.

[Paint splattering]

Bec joins Betsy and the pink and orange-haired woman at their tent.

Bec says, HI, BETSY!

Betsy says, HI!

Bec says, YOU MUST BE BETSY'S MOM?

The pink and orange-haired woman says, HI, I'M KAT.

Betsy says, HI, KAT! NICE TO MEET YOU.

Kat says, AND YOU.

Bec says, SO, YOU WANT ME TO DELIVER AN ARTY SURPRISE TO CHARLES.

Betsy says, YES, PLEASE. WE COME HERE MOST YEARS, AND HE'S BEEN WORKING HERE SINCE THE FESTIVAL BEGAN.

Charles, the grey-haired man, tours a science tent with Betsy and Kat.

Bec says, WOW! AND WHAT SORT OF STUFF DOES CHARLES DO AT THE FESTIVAL?

Betsy says, HE KEEPS THE PEOPLE ORGANIZED, AND KEEPS THE PLACE TIDY.

Bec says, OH, THAT'S NICE. AND WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE THING TO DO HERE?

Betsy says, LISTEN TO THE MUSIC.

Bec says, GOOD ANSWER! I LOVE IT!

[Bec gasping]

Bec says, IN FACT, YOU'VE GIVEN ME A FESTIVE IDEA. YOU WANT TO COME HELP?

Betsy says, YES, PLEASE.

Kat says, YEAH.

Bec says, ALRIGHT, LET'S GO!

Bec, Betsy and Kat leave the tent. By a lake, children fish. Bec and the person in the elephant costume swing hoops around their waists. In a larger tent, Kat and Betsy unroll a large roll of brown fabric. Bec places a large stencil over the fabric. Betsy traces the lines of the stencil with a black marker.

Bec says, VERY NICE.

[Upbeat music continues]

Bec finishes tracing the stencil and pulls it off the fabric.

Bec asks, KAT, COULD YOU CUT THIS OUT, PLEASE?

Kat says, I SURE CAN.

Bec says, BETSY AND I ARE GOING TO WORK ON SOMETHING ELSE.

Bec leaves with Betsy, and Kat starts cutting out the shapes in the fabric. Elsewhere in the tent, Bec unrolls purple fabric and lays down a stencil.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO HOLD THIS DOWN, YOU TRACE AROUND IT.

Betsy traces the stencil.

Bec says, ALRIGHT, READY?

Betsy says, YEP!

Bec pulls back the stencil.

Bec says, LOVELY STUFF!

Bec, Betsy and Kat gather their cut pieces of fabric.

Bec says, THERE WE GO. HERE'S A NEEDLE AND THREAD.

Bec passes Kat and Betsy needles and thread.

Betsy says, THANK YOU.

Bec says, YOU GUYS GET SEWING, AND I'LL SET UP THE MACHINE.

Betsy and Kat start sewing pieces of colourful fabric together by hand. At a table, Bec sews fabric together with a sewing machine. Outside, Betsy poses behind a large picture frame that reads, “Deer Shed Festival.” She grabs a piece of trash stuck to the frame and picks up a plastic bag in a field. In the tent, Kat cuts a green plastic bag into strips. Outside, Betsy eats pink cotton candy. In the tent, she and Bec cut continent shapes out of green foam sheets.

Bec says, LET'S STICK ON OUR CONTINENTS!

Bec and Betsy cable tie their continents to a large metal sphere. At a recycling and waste collection site, Betsy collects a bottle from a brown-haired girl. She drops the bottle caps in a basket and tosses the bottle in the recycling. In the tent, Kat cuts a yellow plastic bag into strips. At recycling, Betsy collects more bottle caps from other children at the festival. In the tent, she drops them on the floor. Betsy and Bec glue the bottle caps onto the sewn-together fabric.

[Upbeat music continues]

Betsy dances outside with the person in the elephant costume. Kat ties the strips of plastic to the ends of the sewn-together fabric. Bec and Betsy hold bottle caps over their eyes. Bec, Betsy and Kat carry their finished project outside, and Bec hammers a pole into the ground.

Bec says, ALRIGHT! TEAM WORK!

Bec, Betsy and Kat all high-five.

Bec asks, SHOULD WE GET CHARLES?

Kat says, YEAH!

Bec says, OFF YOU GO!

Kat and Betsy run off together.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the festival, Charles stands beside Kat and Betsy with his hands over his eyes.

Betsy says, TAKE A LOOK!

Charles lowers his hands and looks up.

Charles says, OH, WOW!

A large colourful butterfly kite hangs from a pole. The wind blows the colourful plastic strips around it. The metal globe hangs behind it.

Betsy says, THANK YOU, CHARLES, FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO HERE AT DEER SHED. YOU MAKE IT SO MUCH FUN! IT WOULDN'T BE THE SAME WITHOUT YOU.

Charles says, THAT'S ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! IT'S GOT THE PLANET ON IT, THAT FITS OUR THEME, "POCKET PLANET," AND ALL ABOUT CELEBRATING EVERYTHING FROM AROUND THE WORLD.

A group of children admire the kite.

Charles says, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Bec says, THAT'S BEEN ANOTHER BRILLIANT DAY OF DELIVERING ART TO YOUR DOOR! SEE YOU NEXT TIME, ON...

Everyone throws up their hands and cheers, …MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!
