[Doorbell ringing]

[Energetic music plays]

[Whistling]

In the Makeaway Takeaway restaurant, various craft supplies fill fridges, cover countertops, and adorn menus, including bottles of paint, scissors, sponges, ribbon, and a box of paintbrushes and pens. Host Bec Hill talks on her banana phone. Bec wears her long, curly pink hair in an updo. In her Makeaway Takeaway uniform, she wears a yellow polo shirt with a light blue collar, and a dark blue skirt with suspenders over light blue shorts. Bec paints a self-portrait with bubble wrap. Plates, cups, paint, sunglasses, balled-up paper, and straws move on a conveyor belt. Bec pulls a bucket off her head. Three children paint. Bec spreads glue across a strip of paper and holds a colander over her head. A girl with black hair dances.

Bec announces the title, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

[Doorbell ringing]

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

At Makeaway Takeaway, Bec lies asleep over the front counter. A polo shirt, pairs of socks, and a teddy bear hang on a clothes line beside her.

[Bec snoring]

In her sleep, Bec says, NO, MY PANTS ARE EATING ME.

Bec jolts awake.

[Bec gasping]

Bec says, OH, I FELL ASLEEP AGAIN! HI, I'M BEC. WELCOME TO MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

[Bec yawning]

Bec says, SORRY. I'M SO TIRED. THOMAS TEDDINGTON WAS IN THE WASH LAST NIGHT AND I COULDN'T SLEEP WITHOUT HIM!

Bec points her thumb toward the teddy bear, Thomas Teddington, on the clothesline.

Bec says, WHILE I TRY TO STAY AWAKE...

Sleepily, Bec says, ...HERE'S TODAY'S MENU.

Bec yawns.

[Upbeat music plays]

[Whooshing]

Rolls of paper unravel. Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Upbeat music continues]

Bec narrates, COMING UP ON TODAY'S SHOW, I GOT DOTTY WITH A NEW TECHNIQUE.

Bec dabs dots of yellow paint onto a piece of paper.

Bec narrates, I GET A CALL FROM A CUSTOMER WHO NEEDS HELP DRIFTING OFF TO SLEEP.

A girl wearing her long black hair in tight braids claps her hands, and the lights go out. A cloud lamp lights up.

Bec continues, AND WE DELIVER AN AWESOME SURPRISE TO A DELIGHTFUL DANCE TEACHER.

People sprinkle colourful rice onto a white surface. Children copy a dance teacher’s moves.

[Paint splattering]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whistling]

[Upbeat music plays]

At the front counter, Bec adds a black alarm clock to a collection of alarm clocks.

Bec says, I CAN'T FALL ASLEEP, OTHERWISE I MIGHT MISS ALL MY CUSTOMERS.

[Soothing music plays]

Bec says, BUT DON'T WORRY. BECAUSE MY BODY CLOCK WILL HELP ME TODAY!

Bec holds up a large clock on a necklace. Her eyes slowly close, and she falls asleep.

[Bec softly snoring]

[Record scratching]

[Alarm clocks ringing]

[Bec snorting]

Bec jerks awake.

[Bec gasping]

Bec says, I'M AWAKE! I'M AWAKE! AUGH! WHICH ONE IS IT?!

Bec throws a blue alarm clock off the counter. She throws a red clock off the counter, and then a small black one.

[Clocks breaking]

[Bec groaning]

[Crashing]

[Alarm clock ringing stops]

[Bec sighing]

Bec says, HEY, WHAT DO YOU KNOW? TIME DOES FLY!

[Drum rimshot]

Bec says, SPEAKING OF WHICH, IT'S TIME FOR...

[Exciting music plays]

Bec cheers, ...A TAKEAWAY TECHNIQUE!

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

Bec takes a seat at the lunch table with a large piece of white paper, a tray of paint, pencils, and a green pop can with a lemon icon on a purple oval.

[Gentle, upbeat music plays]

Bec says, I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU A STILL LIFE POINTILLISM TECHNIQUE. I'M GOING TO DO A PICTURE OF THIS CAN OF FIZZY DRINK.

Bec points to the green pop can and reaches for a pencil in her hair.

Bec says, TAKE A PENCIL AND START TO SKETCH IT OUT.

Bec sketches the pop can onto her piece of paper.

Bec says, YOU CAN DO A STILL LIFE OF ANY OBJECT YOU LIKE. IT COULD BE A TOY, SOME FOOD, OR EVEN A MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY IF THEY CAN SIT STILL LONG ENOUGH.

Bec draws the leaves on the lemon onto the can.

Bec says, POINTILLISM IS A WAY OF PAINTING WITH DIFFERENT COLOURED DOTS SO THAT WHEN YOU STAND BACK, ALL THE COLOURS SEEM TO BLEND TOGETHER. SO I AM GOING TO START BY DOING A BASE COLOUR. I'LL USE GREEN, BECAUSE IT'S THE SAME COLOUR AS THE CAN.

Bec dips the eraser end of a pencil in green paint.

Bec says, USING AN OLD RUBBER ON THE END OF A PENCIL, START BY DOTTING THE PAINT ON.

With the eraser, also known as a rubber, Bec dabs dots of green paint onto the pop can drawing.

Bec says, IT DOESN'T NEED TO BE IN ANY PARTICULAR PATTERN, JUST WHEREVER YOU SEE A GAP.

Bec dips the pencil eraser in paint as it dries up.

Bec says, YOU CAN COVER UP THE PENCIL LINE WITH DOTS SO THAT YOUR PICTURE LOOKS ENTIRELY DOTTY. I'M GOING TO COVER THE WHOLE CAN IN DOTS, LEAVING THE DESIGN IN THE MIDDLE.

Later at the table, the oval shape around the lemon remains blank. Green dots cover the rest of the can.

Bec says, DONE ALL THE GREEN. NOW I'M GOING TO START ON THE DESIGN WITH SOME PURPLE.

Bec paints the space around the lemon in the oval with purple dots.

Bec says, RUBBERS ARE USUALLY USED FOR TAKING THINGS OFF, BUT I'M USING IT TO PUT THINGS ON THIS TIME.

[Gentle upbeat music continues]

Bec says, I'LL DO A LOVELY YELLOW NEXT.

Bec dips a new pencil eraser in yellow paint and starts painting the lemon with dots.

Bec says, THIS IS SO CALMING, I HOPE IT DOESN'T SEND ME TO SLEEP!

Bec paints the lemon leaves with dark green dots.

Bec says, NOW I'LL DO SOME OF THE OTHER DETAILS.

[Paint splattering]

Grey dots cover the top of the can, black dots cover the open lid, and red dots form a table in the painting.

Bec says, I'VE DONE THE TOP OF THE CAN, AND I'M JUST FINISHING OFF THE RED TABLE. LET'S ADD SOME DARK GREEN SHADING TO GIVE IT A 3D EFFECT.

Bec adds dark green dots to the bottom of the can.

Bec says, DOWN THE BOTTOM AND THE SIDE OF THE CAN.

Dark green dots line the left side of the can. Bec dips a pencil eraser in black paint.

Bec says, WE'LL ADD A BIT OF SHADING UP HERE ON THE LID.

Bec adds black dots around the curve of the lid.

Bec says, AND SOME WHITE HIGHLIGHTS WHERE THE LIGHT HITS THE CAN.

Bec paints white dots on the right side of the can, the upper right side of the purple oval, and the lemon, as well as the left side of the top of the can and the pop tab.

Bec says, FINALLY, I AM GOING TO GIVE THIS FIZZY DRINK SOME BUBBLES. I THINK IT'S BEEN SHAKEN UP A BIT.

Bech dips her pencil eraser in her white paint and makes a trail of white dots bursting out of the can. She sets the pencil down on the table and pushes the paint to the side.

Bec says, AND THERE IS YOUR STILL LIFE POINTILLISM PICTURE.

The painting sparkles.

[Chimes]

[Paint splattering]

[Funky playful music plays]

At the front counter, Bec holds a coffee mug and smiles. Her teddy bear, Thomas Teddington, holds a rainbow mug.

[Bec sighing]

Bec says, NOTHING LIKE FRESH COFFEE TO KEEP YOU AWAKE. THOMAS AND I ARE ON OUR THIRD CUP!

Bec drinks her coffee and says, AH. I THINK THIS IS WORKING.

Bec glances at Thomas.

Speaking rapidly, Bec says, DO YOU THINK THIS IS WORKING, THOMAS? I THINK THIS IS WORKING. ACTUALLY, WHAT'S IN COFFEE, ANYWAYS? I DON'T KNOW WHY IT MAKES ME FEEL SO AWAKE. OH MY GOSH. AM I SAYING "COFFEE" TOO MUCH? CAN YOU HAVE TOO MUCH COFFEE? I DON'T KNOW IF THAT'S A THING. IS IT A THING? OH MY GOSH, I'VE HAD TOO MUCH COFFEE! WHAT DO I DO? WHAT DO I DO?

[Ringing]

[Bec gasping]

An order ticket prints from the Makeaway Takeaway order screen.

[Printer whirring]

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

Bec shakes and says, BRRR!

Bec runs over to the order screen and watches a video of the girl wearing her long black hair in tight braids. The girl wears a light pink long-sleeved shirt.

The black-haired girl says, HELLO, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY. BEC, I NEED YOUR HELP. I HAVE TROUBLE SLEEPING AT NIGHT. CAN YOU COME UP WITH A FUN MAKE THAT WILL HELP ME GO TO SLEEP?

Bec says, I KNOW THE FEELING. DON'T WORRY! ONE ARTY DELIVERY COMING RIGHT UP.

Bec grabs the order ticket and leaves the takeaway.

[Energetic music plays]

In a comic book panel, Bec ties the laces on her pink sneakers and straightens her socks. She snaps her suspenders and puts on a Makeaway Takeaway visor. Bec puts on a craft tool belt which carries a paint roller, pen, scissors and other craft supplies. She straightens the collar of her shirt, winks, and gives a thumbs-up.

Bec says, LET'S DO THIS!

Bec takes off running.

[Whooshing]

In a front yard, the black-haired girl stands between two women with their black hair in tight braids. One woman wears her hair in a bun, and the other woman wears her hair loose. A bald man with a neatly trimmed beard picks up the black-haired girl.

[Black-haired girl squealing]

The black-haired girl narrates, HELLO, MY NAME IS ZENDAYA. I AM NINE YEARS OLD, AND I LIVE IN LEEDS. AND THIS IS MY FAMILY!

In a backyard, Zendaya wears boxing gloves. The bald man wears boxing mittens.

Zendaya narrates, I LOVE MATH, RIDING MY BIKE, AND THAI BOXING.

Zendaya punches and kicks the bald man’s boxing mittens. In her bedroom, Zendaya tosses and turns in bed.

Zendaya narrates, I LOVE A CHALLENGE AND KEEPING ACTIVE, BUT AT NIGHT, MY BRAIN IS ALWAYS BUSY AND I FIND IT HARD TO SLEEP.

Zendaya sits up in bed and crosses her legs.

Zendaya narrates, BEC, CAN YOU COME UP WITH A FUN MAKE THAT WILL HELP ME GO TO SLEEP?

[Doorbell ringing]

[Zendaya gasping]

Zendaya says, BEC IS HERE!

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

[Light upbeat music plays]

In a craft room, Bec joins Zendaya at a craft table full of supplies, including a sheet of cardboard, a cup of yellow paint, a cup of glue, a pile of cotton balls and other crafting supplies. Zendaya wears her hair tied back and a blue Makeaway Takeaway apron.

Bec says, HEY, ZENDAYA!

Zendaya says, HI, BEC.

Bec asks, HOW CAN I HELP?

Zendaya says, I NEED SOMETHING TO HELP ME SLEEP AT NIGHT.

Bec says, OOOH. YEAH. SOMETHING RELAXING.

[Bec gasping]

Bec asks, HOW ABOUT A CLOUD LIGHT?

Soft light shines from a cloud light with a lightning bolt sticking out of it.

[Applause, crowd cheering]

[Fanfare plays]

Zendaya says, PERFECT.

[Paint splattering]

Bec says, EXCELLENT STUFF. OKAY, WELL, WE WILL START BY DRAWING A LIGHTNING BOLT. I'M DOING THIS ON A PIECE OF RECYCLED CARD.

Zendaya watches Bec draw a lightning bolt on the sheet of cardboard with a thick black marker.

Bec says, THERE WE GO. NOW WE'LL CUT IT OUT.

Zendaya nods and says, OKAY.

Bec says, OKAY.

Bec cuts the lightning bolt out of the cardboard with a pair of scissors.

Bec says, MIGHT WANT AN ADULT TO HELP WITH THIS BIT. AND THERE WE GO! NOW WE GET TO PAINT.

Zendaya starts painting the lightning bolt yellow.

Bec says, AND I'VE MIXED IN SOME P.V.A. TO MAKE IT A LITTLE BIT STICKY. YOU'LL SEE WHY IN A MOMENT.

Bec starts painting the lightning bolt.

Bec asks, WHAT'S THE FUNNIEST DREAM YOU'VE EVER HAD?

Zendaya says, SO I HAD A DREAM THAT THERE WERE THESE PIGEONS AND THEY HAD REALLY BIG HEADS.

[Bec laughing]

Bec asks, BUT THEY HAD JUST NORMAL PIGEON-SIZED BODIES?

Zendaya says, YES.

[Bec laughing]

Bec says, EXCELLENT. THAT'S ONE SIDE. FLIP IT OVER AND WE'LL DO THE OTHER SIDE.

Bec flips the lightning bolt over onto a tray.

[Paint splashing]

Bec and Zendaya finish painting the lightning bolt.

Bec says, BEFORE THE PAINT DRIES, POP SOME GLITTER ON IT.

Bec and Zendaya sprinkle gold glitter on the edges of the lightning bolt.

Bec says, SHAKE THE GLITTER OFF AND WE'LL PUT THAT ASIDE TO DRY.

Bec shakes off excess glitter and sets the tray aside.

[Whooshing]

Later at the table, Bec says, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE SOME RAIN FOR THE CLOUD LIGHT. I'M USING SOME SILVER STRING. LET'S PUT ON SOME BEADS.

Bec places a plate with silver beads on a silver string and a plastic cup of beads on the table.

Bec says, THESE ARE BEADS I GOT FROM AN OLD NECKLACE. AND TO THREAD THE BEADS ONTO THE STRING, I'VE USED A PIECE OF MASKING TAPE TO MAKE THAT NICE AND POINTY.

Bec holds up a piece of string with masking tape wrapped around the end.

Bec asks, WHAT BEADS SHOULD I PUT ON NEXT?

Zendaya says, UM, THE WHITE ONE.

Zendaya takes a white bead out of the plastic cup. Bec threads the string through the bead.

Bec says, AND NOW WE'VE GOT OUR RAIN!

Bec holds up three pieces of string with beads on the ends.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the table, the pieces of string are taped down with a long strip of masking tape.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO TAKE A LONG PIECE OF MASKING TAPE, AND I'VE GOT THIS PLASTIC SWEET TUB FROM THE RECYCLING, WHICH I'M GOING TO TAPE THE RAIN TO LIKE THAT.

Bec tapes the rain strings to a large plastic container with the strip of tape.

Bec says, I THINK IT'S TIME TO ADD OUR LIGHTNING BOLT, DON'T YOU?

Zendaya nods and says, YES!

Bec says, EXCELLENT. AND I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU A LITTLE TRICK. USING MY SCISSORS, I'M JUST GOING TO CUT A SLIT DOWN THE CENTRE.

In the middle, Bec cuts a 1 inch slit into an end of the lightning bolt with her scissors.

Bec says, THERE, JUST A LITTLE ONE. AND THEN BEND THIS PIECE THIS WAY AND THIS PIECE THE OTHER WAY, AND WE'LL STICK IT TO THE SWEET TUB.

Bec bends the split pieces of cardboard in opposite directions. She holds the flattened pieces against the side of the plastic container, and Zendaya tapes them down with masking tape.

Bec says, THERE WE GO!

Bec holds up the container. The silver string and bead rain hang below, and the cardboard lightning bolt sticks out of the side.

Bec says, DOESN'T LOOK LIKE A CLOUD MUCH THOUGH, DOES IT?

Zendaya shakes her head and says, NO.

Bec says, NO. I THINK WE NEED SOME COTTON WOOL.

Bec grabs a handful of cotton balls.

Bec says, TO MAKE THIS LOOK LIKE A CLOUD, WE'RE GOING TO UNRAVEL THESE AND RAVEL THEM BACK UP.

Bec unravels and loosely re-ravels a cotton ball.

Bec says, WIND IT UP VERY LOOSELY. LIKE THAT.

Zendaya says, IT LOOKS A BIT LIKE A ROSE.

Bec says, IT DOES LOOK A BIT LIKE A ROSE!

Zendaya unravels and re-ravels a cotton ball.

Bec says, WE'LL GET SOME GLUE. WE'RE GOING TO DUNK THESE IN AND THEN STICK THEM TO THE TUB.

Bec dips the side of a re-ravelled cotton ball in a cup of P.V.A. glue and sticks it to the overturned plastic container. Zendaya adds a re-ravelled cotton ball.

Bec says, WE'RE GOING TO PUT SOME LIGHTS IN THIS LATER, SO LEAVE SOME GAPS BETWEEN THE COTTON SO THE LIGHT CAN SHINE THROUGH.

Bec looks at Zendaya and asks, DO YOU SNORE WHEN YOU SLEEP?

Zendaya says, MAYBE?

Bec says, I GUESS IT'S HARD TO TELL IF YOU'RE SNORING IF YOU'RE ASLEEP.

Zendaya says, THAT'S TRUE.

Bec says, MMM-HMM.

Bec gently presses a cotton-ball cloud onto the container.

Bec says, WE'LL DO EVERYTHING EXCEPT FOR THE LID.

Zendaya says, THAT LOOKS GOOD NOW.

Bec says, IT DOES! SHALL WE PUT IT ASIDE TO DRY?

Zendaya nods and says, YES!

Unravelled and ravelled cotton balls cover the container. Bec nods.

[Whooshing]

Later at the table, Bec flips the cloud container.

Bec says, ONCE THE CLOUD IS DRY, TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN AND TAKE THE LID OFF.

Bec removes the lid and says, AND SO WE CAN HANG THE LIGHT UP, USING A PIECE OF STRING, WE'LL STICK IT ON THE INSIDE.

Zendaya tapes a piece of string to one side of the container.

Bec says, I'LL DO THIS ONE.

Bec tapes the string to the opposite side.

Bec says, FINALLY, WE'LL ADD SOME BATTERY-OPERATED PARTY LIGHTS.

Bec fills the container with lit-up battery-operated party lights.

Bec says, POP THE LID ON.

Bec puts the lid on the container and holds up the finished craft.

Bec says, AND WE'LL SEE IF IT WORKS. ZENDAYA, CAN YOU TURN OFF THE LIGHTS, PLEASE?

Zendaya claps her hands twice.

[Clapping]

[Soothing music plays]

The room darkens, and soft light shines from the cloud light.

Zendaya says, WOW!

Bec says, YEAH, THERE YOU HAVE IT! YOUR CLOUD LIGHT TO HELP YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT.

[Paint splattering]

Zendaya sits in bed. The cloud light hangs on the wall beside her.

Zendaya says, THANKS, BEC! MY CLOUD LIGHT IS AMAZING. IT WILL HELP ME SLEEP MUCH BETTER.

Zendaya claps her hands twice, and her bedroom light goes out.

[Clapping]

Soft light shines from Zendaya’s cloud light. Zendaya lies down with her head on her pillow.

[Gentle snoring]

Back in Makeaway Takeaway, Bec sleeps standing up behind the front counter with Zendaya’s order ticket in her hand. A big bowl of cereal and a big spoon are on the counter.

[Bec softly snoring]

Bec jolts awake.

[Bec gasping]

Bec says, WELL, IT HELPED ME DRIFT OFF TO SLEEP, TOO, ZENDAYA! I'M GLAD I COULD HELP. ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER!

Bec places Zendaya’s order ticket in a tray on the back counter.

[Register ding]

Bec turns to the front counter and grabs the big spoon.

Bec says, I'M EATING BREAKFAST TO TRY AND TRICK MY BODY CLOCK INTO THINKING IT'S MORNING. THAT WAY, I CAN STAY AWAKE ALL DAY LONG!

Bec eats a big spoonful of cereal.

[Gentle soothing music plays]

[Cereal crunching]

Bec closes her eyes and puts down her spoon.

[Bec moaning]

Bec moans, MUST... STAY... AWAKE...

Bec’s falls face-first into her bowl of cereal.

[Splashing]

Bec lifts her head out of the bowl with cereal stuck to her face.

[Cheerful music plays]

[Bec groaning]

Bec grabs a towel and wipes the cereal off her face.

[Cereal crunching]

Bec says, AH. ALL CLEAN! TIME FOR SOME PAPER PUPPETRY!

Bec steps away from the counter.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

[Gentle music plays]

Bec stands beside a large pad of paper with a drawing of a sleeping sloth hanging from a tree branch. Bec holds her finger to her lips.

Bec says, SHH!

Bec raises and lowers a leaf on the branch, and the sloth’s belly rises and lowers. The sloth’s mouth opens as its belly rises and closes as its belly lowers.

[Gentle snoring]

Bec pushes a stick sticking out of the pad, and a cloud of gas leaves the Sloth’s bottom.

[Flatulence]

Bec smirks and waves her hand in front of her face.

[Whooshing]

At the Makeaway Takeaway lunch table, Bec sleeps against her hand with her elbow on the table. Her phone leans against a condiment container.

[Bec softly snoring]

Bec’s chin slips off her hand, and she jerks awake.

[Bec snorting]

[Bec gasping]

Bec groans, AWW, I STILL CAN'T STAY AWAKE!

Bec glances at her phone and says, MAYBE THERE'S AN APP FOR THAT.

Bec taps her phone.

[Chiming]

Bec says, OH, HERE WE GO!

[Light cheerful music plays]

An in-app announcer says, WELCOME TO THE WAKE APP!

In the app, a cartoon character with short purple hair grins.

The purple-haired character says, HERE'S SOME FACIAL EXERCISES TO KEEP YOU WIDE AWAKE!

Bec looks excited.

[Circus music plays]

The purple-haired character purses their lips. Bec puffs out her cheeks and purses her lips. The purple-haired character stretches their lips straight.

[Purple-haired character grunting]

Bec copies the purple-haired character. The purple-haired character sticks out their tongue.

The purple-haired character says, BLAH!

Bec sticks out her tongue.

[Horn honking]

Bec frowns and says, AWW, NOW MY FACE IS TIRED. THIS ISN'T WORKING AT ALL. MAYBE SOMETHING NOISY WILL WAKE ME UP! THAT GIVES ME AN IDEA FOR A MEGA MINI MAKE!

Bec leaves the table.

[Paint splattering]

On the other side of the restaurant, Bec takes a seat at the Mega Mini Make table with craft supplies spread out across the table. The supplies include scissors, a glue stick, a paper cup, pink and green paper circles, a small piece of green paper, small strips of green paper, a small bowl and more.

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A FLY CLACKER. I'M STARTING WITH A PIECE OF GREEN CARD, FOLDING IT IN HALF, AND THEN TAKING A SMALL BOWL AND PLACING IT JUST OFF THE EDGE WHERE THE FOLD IS.

Bec folds the green piece of paper in half and places the small bowl upside down on top of the paper. She slides the bowl partway down past the fold, leaving the majority of the bowl on the paper.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO TRACE AROUND IT.

Bec traces the bowl with a black marker.

Bec says, I'M GONNA CUT IT OUT.

Bec cuts out the shape with her scissors.

Bec says, THERE WE ARE. NOW YOU SEE IT'S MADE A FIGURE OF EIGHT.

Bec unfolds the paper, revealing the shape of an 8. She re-folds the paper.

Bec says, LET'S CUT SOME CURVES AROUND THE EDGE TO BE THE TEETH. THIS IS GOING TO BE A VENUS FLY TRAP.

Bec starts cutting triangles into the curved edges.

Bec asks, WHY DO YOU THINK IT SHOULD BE CALLED? SPIKE? SNAPPER?

Bec finishes cutting the triangle-shaped teeth and sets down the scissors.

Bec says, THERE WE ARE.

Bec unfolds the paper and says, THERE'S THE SHAPE. TO DECORATE IT, I'M USING SOME DIFFERENT COLOURED CIRCLES THAT I MADE BY TRACING AROUND A RECYCLED PAPER CUP. LET'S PUT A LIGHT GREEN CIRCLE ON THE OUTSIDE.

Bec spreads glue onto one side of a light green paper circle. She sticks the circle onto the top of the Venus flytrap craft.

Bec says, THERE. AND SOME STRIPS OF PAPER FOR HANDLES. I'M USING DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE, BUT YOU COULD ALSO USE GLUE FOR THIS.

Bec tapes the ends of the small strips of green paper onto the top and bottom circles of the Venus flytrap so the strips curve and make handles. Bec puts her fingers and thumb through the handles and opens and closes the 8-shaped paper.

Bec says, THESE ARE TO PUT MY FINGERS THROUGH SO I CAN CLACK THE CLACKER.

Bec spreads glue onto a pink paper circle.

Bec says, TO MAKE THE VENUS FLY TRAP'S MOUTH, I'M USING THE PINK CIRCLES.

Bec glues the pink circles onto the inside halves of the 8.

Bec says, IT'S NOT VERY CLACKY AT THE MOMENT. SO I AM STICKING DOWN SOME RECYCLED JAR LIDS. AND I'M JUST USING A SPOT OF STRONG GLUE TO STICK IT ON.

Bec glues the flat tops of black jar lids onto the pink circles.

Bec says, FINALLY, FOR A BIT OF EXTRA DECORATION, I'VE MADE THESE FLIES FROM BITS OF PIPE CLEANER AND TRACING PAPER. I'LL JUST POP THEM IN WITH SOME STRONG GLUE.

Bec glues a black pipe cleaner fly with tracing paper wings onto one of the lids.

Bec says, AND I THINK THIS ONE'S BEEN LUCKY.

Bec glues a second pipe cleaner fly beside the lid. She closes the Venus fly trap and slides the handles between her fingers and thumb.

Bec says, AND THERE IS YOUR VENUS FLY CLACKER.

Bec opens and closes the Venus flytrap clacker craft and taps the lids together.

[Lids clacking]

Bec says, YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO A VENUS FLY TRAP, YOU COULD DO A CLAM COMPLETE WITH PEARL.

Bec holds up a similar craft that looks like an orange clam with a white pearl inside. She clacks both crafts.

[Lids clacking]

Bec cringes and says, WELL, THAT WILL KEEP YOU AWAKE!

[Paint splattering]

Later, on the floor, Bec does sit-ups.

Bec counts, FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, HUNDRED AND ONE.

Bec smiles awkwardly.

Bec says, I'M JUST DOING SOME EXERCISES TO GET THE ADRENALINE PUMPING. HOPEFULLY IT WILL HELP KEEP ME AWAKE.

Bec continues her sit-ups.

Bec counts, 702. 703.

[Bec snoring]

Bec sleeps on the floor.

[Ringing notification]

A bell icon appears on the Makeaway Takeaway order screen.

[Bec snorting]

Bec jerks awake and sits up.

[Bec gasping]

Bec says, A CUSTOMER! I'M AWAKE! I'M AWAKE!

On a video call on the order screen, a girl with long, brown hair is wearing a brown dress.

The brown-haired girl says, IT'S THE MAKE OF THE DAY!

Bec runs over to the front counter conveyor belt. She watches the screen and smiles.

The brown-haired girl says, HI, I'M CARA, AND I'M FROM NORTHERN IRELAND.

Bec waves and says, HI, CARA!

Cara says, WHAT CAN YOU MAKE OUT OF THESE THREE INGREDIENTS?

The conveyor belt starts moving.

Cara says, HAIR BANDS, BUTTONS, AND AN OLD TOWEL.

The conveyor belt delivers two black hair ties, two black buttons, and a white folded towel on plates.

Bec says, AH. INTERESTING INGREDIENTS, CARA. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO WHEN IT'S COLD OUTSIDE?

Cara says, I WOULD STAY AT HOME AND BE NICE AND COZY AND WARM WITH THE FIRE. I WOULD HAVE MY HOT WATER BOTTLE WITH ME AND IT WOULD KEEP ME NICE AND WARM.

Bec says, HMM. THAT'S A GOOD POINT.

Bec looks at the Make of the Day ingredients thoughtfully.

Bec says, AND IT'S GIVEN ME AN IDEA! ONE MAKE OF THE DAY COMING RIGHT UP!

Bec walks over to the front counter with the ingredients and crafting supplies, including glue, scissors, and a marker laid out.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A COZY CREATURE COVER WITH CARA'S INGREDIENTS.

[Paint splattering]

[Fanfare plays]

[Audience applauding and cheering]

A smiling zebra cozy creature cover is shown.

[Paint splattering]

[Gentle upbeat music plays]

At the front counter, Bec says, I'M STARTING WITH CARA'S FIRST INGREDIENT, THE OLD TOWEL. I'LL LAY IT OUT, TAKE AN EMPTY HOT WATER BOTTLE, AND TRACE AROUND IT, LEAVING A TWO-FINGER GAP FOR THE SEAM.

Bec lays out the large white towel. She roughly traces a blue hot water bottle on one side of the towel, leaving space between the bottle and her line, using a black marker.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO DO THE SAME THING ON THE OTHER SIDE, BUT THIS TIME, I'M GOING TO DRAW AN EXTRA BIT AT THE BOTTOM. THIS WILL BE THE FLAP FOR THE COVER.

Bec roughly traces the hot water bottle with space between the bottle and her line on the other side of the towel. She leaves extra space between the bottle and her line at the bottom.

Bec says, AND ALL THE WAY TO THE END. AND I WANT THIS COVER TO HAVE SOME EARS, SO I'VE MADE A TEMPLATE. SO I'M JUST GOING TO TRACE AROUND THIS BIT OF CARDBOARD THAT I'VE DONE. I'M GOING TO DO FOUR OF THESE.

Bec traces a piece of animal ear-shaped cardboard with her marker onto the blank space on the towel.

Bec says, NOW I'M GOING TO CUT IT ALL OUT. I'M USING SOME VERY SHARP SCISSORS, SO YOU MIGHT WANT AN ADULT TO HELP WITH THIS BIT.

Bec cuts into the towel.

[Whooshing]

Later at the counter, Bec’s cutouts are laid out. Two of the animal cut-outs are sewn together.

Bec says, I'VE CUT OUT ALL THE PIECES, AND I'VE ALREADY SEWN TOGETHER ONE OF THE EARS. I'LL SHOW YOU HOW I DID IT. TAKE TWO PIECES, PUT THEM OVER TOGETHER.

Bec puts her two remaining animal ear pieces together.

Bec says, I'VE GOT A LARGE NEEDLE AND SOME THICK THREAD. I'VE TIED A KNOT ON THE END SO IT DOESN'T PULL THROUGH THE FABRIC.

Bec holds up a sewing needle and black thread.

Bec says, START IN THE CORNER OF THE EAR. DOWN. AND THEN PULL IT BACK THROUGH ON THE OTHER SIDE.

Bec pushes the needle and thread through the two pieces of animal ear fabric and starts sewing them together.

Bec says, WHEN USING A NEEDLE, MAYBE ASK AN ADULT TO HELP YOU. THIS IS A SIMPLE RUNNING STITCH. I'M USING BLACK THREAD SO THAT YOU CAN SEE IT AT HOME. BUT NORMALLY I WOULD USE WHITE THREAD TO MATCH THE COLOUR OF THE TOWEL.

Bec flips the ears and continues sewing.

Bec says, JUST FINISHING IT OFF. AND TYING A KNOT.

Bec ties a knot with the thread.

Bec says, OKAY.

Bec trims the thread with her pair of scissors. She leaves the bottom of the ear open.

Bec says, SO YOU'LL NOTICE THAT I HAVEN'T STITCHED THE END OF THE EAR. THE REASON IS BECAUSE WE NEED TO TURN THESE INSIDE OUT.

Bec turns the ear inside out.

Bec says, THERE WE ARE. ONE LITTLE EAR THERE. AND WE’LL DO THE OTHER ONE.

Bec flips the other animal ear inside out.

Bec says, THERE WE ARE. PUSHING IT THROUGH. WE'VE GOT TWO LITTLE EARS.

Bec lays one of the ears on one of the hot water bottle cut-outs in the top corner. It lies on top of the fabric.

Bec says, I'VE TAKEN THE EARS, PLACING THEM IN THE CORNERS HERE. TAKE THE OTHER PIECE, PLACE THAT ON TOP. A LITTLE SANDWICH.

Bec places the second ear on the opposite corner and lays the second hot water bottle cut-out on top of the first.

Bec says, AND NOW I'M GOING TO SEW THE WHOLE THING UP, LAVING THE BOTTOM FREE LIKE WE DID WITH THE EAR. START IN THE CORNER AGAIN.

[Gentle upbeat music continues]

Bec starts sewing the hot water bottle pieces together.

Bec says, OKAY, COMING UP TO THE BIT WHERE THE EAR STARTS. GONNA GET A LITTLE BIT TOUGH. AND MAKE SURE WE GET BOTH EDGES OF THE EARS HERE.

Bec sews the ears onto the hot water bottle pieces.

Bec says, KEEP SEWING ALL THE WAY AROUND THE WATER BOTTLE, LEAVING THE BOTTOM FREE.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the counter, Bec says, I'VE FINISHED SEWING IT. NOW ALL I HAVE TO DO IS TURN IT INSIDE OUT. AND NOW YOU'LL SEE THE MAGIC WITH THE EARS.

Bec turns the sewn fabric inside out, and the ears pop out.

Bec says, OH, THERE WE GO!

The ears stand up like animal ears.

Bec says, NOW I'M GOING TO TAKE CARA'S SECOND INGREDIENT, THE HAIR TIES. PLACE THESE AT THE BOTTOM OF THAT FLAP THAT WE CUT OUT BEFORE. I WANT TO STITCH THEM ON.

Bec places the two black hair ties on the longer piece of fabric below the hot water bottle.

Bec says, DO A COUPLE OF STITCHES HERE JUST TO MAKE IT NICE AND STRONG.

Bec sews part of a hair tie to one side of the longer fabric so it hangs off.

Bec says, JUST GONNA TIE A KNOT. THROUGH THE HOOP. CUT THAT OFF.

Bec trims her thread and pulls on the hair tie. The hair tie remains in place.

Bec says, THERE ARE. NOW I'LL DO THE OTHER ONE.

Bec sews the second hair tie onto the longer piece of fabric.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the table, Bec says, I'VE SEWN BOTH THE HAIR BANDS ON, AND NOW I'M GOING TO ADD CARA'S THIRD INGREDIENT, THE BUTTONS! I'M GOING TO USE THESE TO FASTEN UP THE COVER.

Bec places the two black buttons a quarter of the way up from the bottom of the hot water bottle cover. She folds the longer flap up so the hair bands lie under the buttons.

Bec says, I'M JUST PLACING THEM SLIGHTLY HIGHER THAN WHERE THE BANDS FALL NATURALLY. SO THAT WILL SECURE IT NICE AND TIGHTLY WHEN I HOOK THEM OVER LATER. I'LL SEW THEM ON!

Bec grabs her needle and thread.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the counter, Bec says, I'VE SEWN THE BUTTONS ON, AND I'LL SHOW YOU HOW IT ALL WORKS.

Bec grabs the hot water bottle and slides it into the open bottom.

Bec says, THE BOTTLE INTO THE COVER. OH, SNUG AS A BUG!

Bec folds the flap over the cover and hooks the hair ties over the buttons.

Bec says, OH, LOOK AT THAT! PERFECT. I'M GOING TO MAKE THIS COZY CREATURE A ZEBRA, BUT YOU CAN MAKE ANY ANIMAL YOU LIKE! I'VE CUT OUT THESE SHAPES FROM FELT AND I AM STICKING THEM ON WITH STRONG GLUE.

Bec glues a strip of black felt onto the front of the cover as a zebra stripe.

[Paint splattering]

Later, at the counter, the zebra cover features more stripes, an open eye, a winking eye, a nose, and a mane. Bec spreads glue onto a red felt mouth.

Bec says, I'VE STUCK DOWN ALL THE ZEBRA DECORATIONS, INCLUDING A CUTE WINKING EYE, AND NOW I'M STICKING DOWN A SMILEY MOUTH.

Bec presses the zebra’s smile onto the cover.

Bec says, AND THERE IS YOUR COZY CREATURE COVER FOR A HOT WATER BOTTLE. WHILE I PACKAGE THIS UP FOR CARA, HERE'S SOME OTHER IDEAS!

Bec grabs the zebra cover and ducks behind the counter.

[Whooshing]

A hot water bottle cover example includes a winking koala.

Bec narrates, HOW ABOUT A CUDDLY KOALA? G'DAY, MATE!

Another hot water bottle cover example features an owl.

Bec narrates, OR A HOOTY OWL? TWIT-TWOO!

At the Makeaway Takeaway delivery hatch, Bec holds a takeout bag.

Bec says, BETTER GET THIS OFF TO CARA BEFORE I SNUGGLE UP WITH IT!

Bec slides the bag into the hatch.

Bec says, ONE MAKE OF THE DAY ON ITS WAY!

Bec presses a button beside the hatch, and the platform inside rises.

[Beeping]

[Paint splattering]

At Cara’s house, Cara takes the zebra cozy creature cover out of the takeout bag.

[Cara gasping]

Cara says, WOW! I LOVE MY COZY CREATURE. I'M GOING TO USE IT ON A COLD DAY. THANKS, BEC!

Cara holds up the zebra cover and waves.

At the takeaway, Bec says, ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

Later at Makeaway Takeaway, Bec presses a sticker with a string stuck to it onto her arm.

Bec says, I'VE SET UP A SERIES OF SNOOZY TRAPS AROUND THE TAKEAWAY, WHICH WILL TRIGGER MY SPECIAL SNOOZE SENSORS IF I START TO DRIFT OFF.

Bec points from one sticker on her arm to another. Strings hang around the takeaway attached to items including an alarm clock and tubes balanced on cups, a bubble machine and a homemade pie-launching machine.

Bec says, I'VE GOT THE CONFETTI CANNONS, THE BUBBLE BLASTER, AND THE WAKEY-WAKEY-PIE-IN-FACEY FLIPPER.

[Bec sharply exhaling]

Bec says, MUST STAY AWAKE.

Bec’s eyes slowly close.

Bec says, MUST...STAY... AWAY...

Bec’s head drops forward, and she falls asleep standing up.

[Bec softly snoring]

[Alarm clock ringing]

[Alarm blaring]

Bubbles fill the space, and Bec jerks awake.

[Bec yelping]

Rainbow confetti rains down around Bec.

[Bec yelping]

The Wakey-Wakey-Pie-In-Facey Flipper launches a pie toward Bec.

[Squelching]

Bec yelps, AUGH! UGH!

Bec pulls the pie plate off her head and leaves her hair covered with whipped cream.

[Bec groaning]

[Ringing stops]

Bec says, WELL, AT LEAST MY SENSORS ARE WORKING. I'LL NEVER FALL ASLEEP IN THE TAKEAWAY AGAIN!

[Ringing]

Bec glances toward the Mega Mini Make table

Bec says, THE BANANA PHONE!

Bec ducks under the strings and answers a call on the banana phone.

[Beeping]

Bec says, HELLO, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY.

On the other end of the call, a girl with shoulder-length, thick, black hair wears a red T-shirt.

The girl says, HI, BEC, MY NAME IS NISHIKA. CAN YOU DELIVER AN ARTY SURPRISE FOR OUR AMAZING DANCE TEACHER, DRUVEL?

Bec says, I'M ON MY WAY!

Bec ends the call and puts down the banana phone.

[Beeping]

Bec says, I'LL JUST GET CLEANED UP FIRST.

Bec ducks under another piece of string.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

In a dance studio, a dance teacher named Druvel, with short black hair, stands in front of his class of children. They all wear matching red T-shirts with a logo that reads, “Bolly Dance.”

Druvel says, 5, 6, HERE WE GO.

Druvel steps forward and back with one foot and claps his hands. His class copies his moves.

Druvel counts, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, AND 1, 2...

Druvel and the class wave their hands. Outside, Bec peeks past a pole and sneaks up to the Frenford Club's Jack Carter Centre. Bec holds her hand to her ear. She wears her Makeaway Takeaway visor and craft toolbelt.

From inside, Druvel counts, 2, 3, 4.

Bec runs inside.

In the studio, Druvel says, RIGHT AND LEFT. UP, RIGHT. UP, LEFT, AND...

Druvel’s students copy his dance moves. They raise and lower their hands. Bec sneaks up to the door and spots Nishika through a window.

[Paint splattering]

Elsewhere in the building, Bec meets Nishika at a table outside a gym.

Bec says, HI, NISHIKA.

Nishika says, HI, BEC!

Bec says, SO YOU'D LIKE ME TO SURPRISE YOUR DANCE INSTRUCTOR, IS THAT RIGHT?

Nishika says, YES!

Bec asks, WHY IS THAT?

Nishika says, ‘CAUSE I THINK HE IS AMAZING.

Bec says, OH YEAH? WHY IS HE AMAZING?

Nishika says, BECAUSE HE HELPS US FIX PROBLEMS WITH OUR MOVES.

Bec says, AWW, THAT'S REALLY NICE. WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE MOVE?

Nishika says, I LIKE THIS ONE.

Nishika holds her arms horizontally with her right arm over her left. She taps them together, wiggles her fingers and pulls them apart.

Bec asks, AND WHAT SORT OF DANCE IS THAT?

Nishika says, BOLLYWOOD.

Bec says, BOLLYWOOD! THAT'S WHAT I SAW YOU DOING THROUGH THE WINDOW!

Nishika says, YEAH.

Bec says, VERY COOL. IN FACT, YOU'VE INSPIRED ME. I'VE BROUGHT ALONG MY FRIEND, RANBIR, THE RANGOLI EXPERT, TO MAKE THE PERFECT ARTWORK. SHALL WE GO?

Nishika says, YEAH.

Bec says, ALL RIGHT.

Bec and Nishika leave the table.

[Paint splattering]

In another studio, a woman with long, black hair, wearing a floral dress and black leggings, sits on the floor on a large sheet of paper, surrounded by cups of coloured rice. She draws on the paper. Bec kneels across from her in her socks.

Bec says, HI, RANBIR!

Ranbir says, OH, HELLO!

Bec says, THIS LOOKS GREAT, YOU'VE ALREADY GOT A START!

Ranbir says, YES, YOU'VE COME TO HELP ME?

Bec says, I'VE COME TO HELP YOU.

Ranbir says, THAT'S GREAT

Bec asks, WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO DO?

Ranbir says, SO, WE ARE GOING TO TRY TO DO THE BODY.

Bec says, OKAY.

Ranbir says, SO, YOU JUST TAKE A LITTLE BIT AND START SPRINKLING IT.

Ranbir sprinkles purple rice between lines on the paper.

Bec says, ALL RIGHT!

Ranbir says, VERY SLOWLY, SLOWLY, YOU SPRINKLE.

[Gentle upbeat music plays]

Bec sprinkles purple rice between lines on the paper.

Bec asks, WHERE DOES RANGOLI ART COME FROM?

Ranbir says, THIS IS THE ART FORM FROM GUJARAT IN INDIA.

Bec asks, WHAT DOES "RANGOLI" MEAN?

Ranbir says, "RANGA" MEANS COLOURS.

Bec says, OH, WOW! SO WHEN YOU PUT 6, 7, 8 COLOURS TOGETHER, TO FORM A RANGOLI.

Ranbir shifts the rice on the rangoli and straightens the lines.

Bec asks, WHAT DO YOU USE TO MAKE RANGOLI ART?

Ranbir says, NORMALLY USING BROKEN RICE AND COLOURED SAND.

Ranbir sprinkles sifted bright yellow sand in a curve of purple rice.

Bec asks, NISHIKA, CAN YOU BRING THE ORANGE?

Nishika says, HERE YOU GO, BEC.

Nishika kneels beside Bec with a container of orange rice.

Bec says, THANK YOU!

Nishika says, YOU’RE WELCOME.

Bec asks, SHOULD WE START ON THIS BIT?

Nishika says, OKAY.

Bec and Nishika sprinkle orange rice on another side of the yellow sand.

Bec asks, HAVE YOU DONE RANGOLI ART BEFORE?

Nishika says, YEAH.

Bec says, I CAN TELL! WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE DESIGN?

Nishika says, UM, I LIKE FLOWERS.

Ranbir sprinkles orange sifted sand over the head of an animal in the rangoli. She draws circles in purple sand with a piece of white chalk. Bec and Nishika sprinkle teal rice into a shape drawn on the paper.

Nishika says, LET'S DO THE NEXT COLOUR.

Bec says, ALL RIGHT, GOOD IDEA.

Bec and Nishika add turquoise rice around the teal rice. Ranbir adds circles of orange sand over dark blue rice. She draws a spiral in orange sand with her chalk and makes a pink and purple flower with sand and chalk. Ranbir, Nishika and Bec stand and look down at their creation.

Bec says, I THINK WE'RE DONE. THANKS FOR TEACHING US, RANBIR!

Ranbir says, IT WAS MY PLEASURE, I HAVE ENJOYED IT.

Nishika says, I THINK IT LOOKS STUNNING!

Bec says, MMM, SO DO I. DO YOU WANT TO GET DRUVEL AND GET CHANGED?

Nishika says, YEAH!

Bec says, OKAY, OFF YOU GO!

Later in the studio, Druvel stands with his class, Bec and Ranbir with his hands over his eyes. Druvel and his students all wear red.

Nishika says, TAKE A LOOK.

Druvel uncovers his eyes and looks at a colourful peacock rangoli and multiple flowers.

Druvel says, WOW, IT'S AMAZING COLOURS! IT'S A PEACOCK!

The peacock’s feathers are red, yellow, green, purple and different shades of blue.

Druvel says, IT'S BEAUTIFUL. WELL DONE.

Nishika grins. Ranbir smiles. Orange, and red and white flowers decorate either side of the pink and purple flower.

Nishika says, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU'VE DONE FOR THIS DANCE SCHOOL. YOU ARE AN AMAZING TEACHER, AND YOU MAKE EVERY DAY FUN.

Druvel says, AW, THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Nishika says, YOU'RE WELCOME!

Bec says, THAT'S BEEN ANOTHER BRILLIANT DAY OF DELIVERING ART TO YOUR DOOR. SEE YOU NEXT TIME ON...

Everyone throws their hands up and cheers, …MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!
