[Doorbell ringing]

[Energetic music plays]

[Whistling]

In the Makeaway Takeaway restaurant, different craft supplies fill fridges, cover countertops, and menus, including bottles of paint, scissors, sponges, ribbon and a box of paintbrushes and pens. Host Bec Hill dances in a jester’s costume. Bec wears her long, curly pink hair in a high ponytail. In her Makeaway Takeaway uniform, she wears a yellow polo shirt with a light blue collar, and a dark blue skirt with suspenders over light blue shorts. Children dance. Plates of cups, paint, sunglasses, balled up paper, and straws move on a conveyor belt. Bec holds a colander over her head. She blows bubbles into a bowl. Bec announces the title.

Bec says, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

[Doorbell ringing]

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

At Makeaway Takeaway, behind the front counter, Bec looks at her reflection on a tin foil tray and puts on pink lipstick. She glances to her right and drags the lipstick across her cheek.

Bec says, OH, UM, HI! I'M BEC. WELCOME TO MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

Bec puts the lipstick and tray on the counter.

Bec says, I'VE GOT A VERY SPECIAL DATE TONIGHT, SO WHILE I FINISH GETTING READY, HERE'S TODAY'S MENU.

Bec picks up the tray. She looks at her reflection and cringes.

[Upbeat music plays]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Upbeat music plays]

Bec narrates, COMING UP ON TODAY'S SHOW, A SUPER SHINY TECHNIQUE. I GET A CALL FROM A CUSTOMER WHO NEEDS HELP GETTING HER FAMILY TO SIT DOWN. AND TIME FOR SOME FUN IN THE SUN AS WE HEAD TO THE BEACH TO THANK A SUPER SEA RESCUER. TIN FOIL, TIN FOIL IN MY HAND. WHO'S THE FAIREST OF ALL THE LAND?

Bec colours the imprint of a camper van on a tin foil tray. In a kitchen, the back of a bar chair has flamingo legs. Another bar chair has frog legs. On a beach, children build sandcastles. In the ocean, a team of rescuers wearing helmets and life jackets races across the water.

[Whistling]

Behind the front counter, Bec looks at her tin foil tray.

Bec says, TIN FOIL, TIN FOIL IN MY HAND. WHO'S THE FAIREST OF ALL THE LAND?

Bec’s blurry reflection waves her hands.

[Bec’s reflection muttering]

Bec says, COME AGAIN?

[Bec’s reflection muttering]

Bec says, AH! YEAH, SURE, OKAY. UH-HUH.

Bec nods and then shakes her head.

Bec whispers, I HAVE NO IDEA.

Bec looks away from the tray.

Bec says, BUT I DO HAVE AN IDEA FOR…

Bec puts down the tray.

Bec spreads her arms and cheers, …A TAKEAWAY TECHNIQUE!

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

Bec takes a seat at the lunch table with the tin foil tray, where a sheet of cardboard is laid out on a larger sheet of paper with a black and white cartoon camper van picture, a pen, and different coloured markers.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU A FOIL EMBOSSING TECHNIQUE.

[Gentle music plays]

Bec says, I LOVE CAMPING, SO I'VE DRAWN A PICTURE OF A CAMPER VAN. JUST TURN THIS UPSIDE DOWN AND SQUISH IT DOWN A BIT.

Bec flips the tin foil tray face down onto the sheet of cardboard and flattens it with her hands.

[Tin foil crunching]

Bec says, I'M TAPING MY PICTURE TO THE TRAY SO IT DOESN'T MOVE.

Bec tapes the camper van picture onto the tray.

Bec says, THERE WE GO. I'VE GOT AN OLD BIRO HERE THAT RAN OUT OF INK, SO I'M GOING TO USE IT TO GO OVER THE LINES. I'VE PUT A PIECE OF RECYCLED CARDBOARD UNDERNEATH SO IT DOESN'T PRESS INTO THE TABLE. AS YOU PRESS DOWN, THE LINES WILL MAKE A DENT IN THE FOIL.

Bec draws over the lines of the camper van with her empty pen.

Bec says, OF COURSE, YOU DON'T NEED TO DO A CAMPER VAN. YOU CAN DO ANY DESIGN YOU LIKE. DO THE WINDOWS. AND A SURFBOARD ON TOP.

Bec finishes tracing the picture onto the tray.

Bec says, THERE WE GO. LET'S SEE HOW IT LOOKS.

Bec takes the picture off the tray.

Bec says, AMAZING! FLIP IT OVER.

Bec flips the tray, revealing the raised lines of the van.

Bec says, THERE'S MY EMBOSSED CAMPER VAN. CAN YOU SEE THE LINES? LET'S COLOUR IT IN!

[Gentle, upbeat music plays]

Bec says, I’VE GOT A LOVELY BLUE HERE THAT I'M GOING TO DO FOR THE PANELS. WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS WHEN YOU GO OVER THE FOIL WITH A COLOUR, YOU GET A METALLIC EFFECT. PERMANENT MARKER WORKS BEST ON THIS MATERIAL.

Bec colours the lower van panels blue.

Bec says, I’LL DO SOME FLOWERS. NICE BIG PINK FLOWERS.

Bec colours a flower on the van pink.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO KEEP COLOURING IN THE CAMPER VAN AND THEN ADD SOME BLACKOUT LINE.

Bec colours the upper van panels green.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the lunch table, the camper van is outlined in black. The wheels are black and green, the roof is blue, and the surfboard on the roof is pink.

Bec says, I'VE COLOURED IT IN AND I'VE DONE THE BLACKOUT LINE. I'M GOING TO GIVE IT A BORDER, SO I'LL DRAW SOME LOVELY BIG WAVES AROUND THE EDGE. WHAT DID THE OCEAN SAY TO THE BEACH? NOTHING. IT JUST WAVED.

Bec draws waves on the foil around the van at the edges of the tray.

Bec says, THERE'S ALL THE WAVES. I’LL USED A RULER TO PUT SOME SUNRAYS AROUND THE CAMPER VAN.

With a ruler, Bec draws angled lines all around the van, going from the van to the wave border.

Bec says, I'VE GOT ALL MY RAYS. NOW, TO COLOUR IT IN.

Bec starts colouring a wave blue.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the lunch table, all the waves are blue, and the rays are yellow and orange. Bec puts the cap back on her marker.

Bec says, DONE! AND THERE IS A CAMPER VAN PICTURE USING A FOIL EMBOSSING TECHNIQUE. OOH SHINY.

In animation, a picture frame appears around the camper van picture, and it sparkles.

[Paint splattering]

Behind the front counter, Bec says, I CAN'T BE SMELLING LIKE THE TAKEAWAY FOR MY DATE TONIGHT, SO I GOT THIS VERY SPECIAL PERFUME. IT'S CALLED "ART". I THINK IT'S PERFECT FOR ARTY PEOPLE LIKE ME.

Bec holds up a bottle of perfume with a green paint splatter icon. She sprays the perfume.

[Flatulence]

[Bec coughing]

Bec waves her hand in front of her face.

Bec says, AW, YUCK! BLEH! WHAT'S IN THIS?

Bec looks at the bottle.

Bec says, OH, NO! IT'S NOT "ART" SPRAY!

[Drumroll]

Bec turns the bottle around, revealing an icon of gas leaving a person’s bottom.

Bec says, IT'S "FART" SPRAY!

[Flatulence]

Bec asks, WHO'D WANT TO SMELL LIKE THAT FOR A DATE?

Bec sniffs her wrist and says, OH, I HOPE IT WEARS OFF SOON.

[Notification alert dinging]

An order ticket prints from the Makeaway Takeaway order screen.

[Printer whirring]

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

[Upbeat music plays]

Bec runs over to the order screen and watches a video of a girl with long, curly black hair wearing a light yellow sweater on the order ticket.

The black-haired girl waves and says, HELLO, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

BEC, I NEED YOUR HELP! MY MUM AND DAD ARE ALWAYS TRYING TO GET US TO SIT DOWN FOR MEALS, BUT WE FIND IT HARD TO STAY STILL. CAN YOU HELP MAKE DINNERTIME A BIT MORE FUN?

Bec says, HOLD ON TO YOUR SEATS! I'VE GOT JUST THE THING. ONE ARTY DELIVERY, COMING RIGHT UP!

Bec grabs the order ticket and leaves.

[Energetic music plays]

In a comic book panel, Bec ties the laces on her pink sneakers and straightens her socks. She snaps her suspenders and puts on a Makeaway Takeaway visor. Bec puts on a craft tool belt which carries a paint roller, pen, scissors and other craft supplies. She straightens the collar of her shirt, winks, and gives a thumbs-up.

Bec says, LET'S DO THIS!

Bec takes off running.

[Light, cheerful music plays]

In a kitchen, the black-haired girl crosses her arms and smiles.

The black-haired girl narrates, HI, I'M ELISE AND I'M NINE. THIS IS MY FAMILY. OUR HOUSEHOLD IS VERY MUSICAL.

Elise, her parents and brother rock out with inflatable guitars.

Elise narrates, I PLAY THE GUITAR. WE ALL LOVE TO DANCE AND COME UP WITH NEW MOVES. WE ENJOY LOTS OF DIFFERENT MUSIC. POP, HOUSE, AND TRANCE.

[Pop, house, then trance music plays]

[Record scratching]

[Light, cheerful music continues]

Elise’s dad spins a beat on a mixer. Elise, her mom and brother dance at the kitchen island.

Elise narrates, IN FACT, WE LOVE DANCING SO MUCH, WE FIND IT HARD TO SIT STILL, ESPECIALLY FOR DINNER.

Elise’s mom shakes her head.

[Elise sighs]

Elise asks, BEC, CAN YOU HELP US?

[Doorbell ringing]

Elise’s dad glances toward her.

Elise’s dad says, HEY? IS SOMEONE AT THE DOOR?

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

In a craft room, Bec joins Elise and places her visor on a large craft table. Elise wears a Makeaway Takeaway apron and a pink feather boa.

Bec says, HI, ELISE!

Elise waves and says, HI, BEC!

Bec says, NOW, I'VE GOT THE PERFECT CRAFTY SOLUTION FOR YOUR PROBLEM. HOW ABOUT WE CHANGE YOUR BREAKFAST BAR CHAIRS INTO ANIMAL FRIENDS?

Elise says, PLEASE!

[Fanfare plays]

Bec is shown sitting on a bar chair with a flamingo back.

[Cheering and applause]

Bec narrates, LIKE THIS FINE, FEATHERED FLAMINGO.

[Paint splattering]

At the craft table, Bec says, FIRST, YOU'RE GOING TO NEED TWO LARGE PIECES OF CARDBOARD. THIS IS SO YOU CAN DRAW YOUR FEET AND YOUR BODY. I'M GOING TO START WITH THE FLAMINGO'S FEET. THE LINE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT BECAUSE WE'RE GOING TO PAINT OVER THESE LATER.

Bec draws large flamingo feet onto a large sheet of cardboard with a black fine-tip marker.

Bec says, THERE WE GO. TWO FEET. NOW, WE'RE GOING TO DRAW THE BODY. I'M ALSO GOING TO ADD FOUR LITTLE RECTANGLES AND I'LL SHOW YOU WHY LATER.

Bec draws a large oval shape onto a second sheet of cardboard. She draws pairs of small side-by-side rectangles on opposite sides of the oval.

Bec says, NOW, WE'VE DRAWN AND THE BODY. IT'S TIME TO CUT THEM OUT.

Bec starts cutting out the cardboard flamingo body.

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

Later at the craft table, Bec says, I'VE CUT OUT MY FEET AND MY BODY AND THE LITTLE RECTANGLE IS THERE. I'M GOING TO POP THESE TO THE SIDE AND COME BACK TO THEM LATER. RIGHT, WE'RE GOING TO NEED SOME TIN FOIL TO MAKE SOME SAUSAGE SHAPES. WE'RE GOING TO USE THIS TO BUILD OUR LEGS.

Bec and Elise roll up tin foil into sausage shapes.

Bec says, I'VE GOT TWO CARDBOARD TUBES FROM WRAPPING PAPER AND I'M GOING TO STICK THEM TOGETHER WITH ONE OF MY SAUSAGES. JUST SLOT IT IN THERE LIKE THAT AND I WANT IT TO HAVE A NICE KNOBBLY KNEE, SO I'M GOING TO ADD SOME MORE TIN FOIL AROUND THERE.

Bec sticks a tin foil sausage halfway into a long cardboard tube and sticks the other half into a second tube. She bends the sausage slightly and wraps where the tubes meet with a strip of tin foil to make a knee.

Bec says, NOW, I'M GOING TO CONNECT MY LEG TO MY FOOT. I'M GOING TO ADD THE OTHER SAUSAGE IN THE END HERE. GET MY FOOT. I'M JUST GOING TO TAPE IT DOWN WITH SOME MASKING TAPE FIRST.

Bec slides the second tin foil sausage halfway into the tube leg and tapes it onto one of the cardboard feet.

Bec says, THEN I'M GOING TO BUILD AN ANKLE. I'LL JUST WRAP SOME MORE TIN FOIL AROUND THE BOTTOM. AND TAPE IT DOWN.

Bec wraps tin foil around the end of the tube and the sausage. She shapes an ankle and tapes it onto the cardboard foot.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the craft table, Bec holds two crafted flamingo legs.

Bec says, NOW, BOTH THE LEGS ARE DONE, I'M GOING TO POP THEM ASIDE TO PAINT LATER.

[Gentle music plays]

Bec sets the legs aside.

Bec says, FOR THE BODY, I'M GOING TO USE A RECYCLED SALAD BOWL TO MAKE ITS BOTTOM, BUT YOU COULD USE SCRUNCHED UP NEWSPAPER. I'M GOING TO STICK IT DOWN WITH SOME MASKING TAPE.

Bec tapes a large, clear plastic bowl onto the middle of the oval, cardboard body.

Bec says, AND NOW, IT'S TIME TO PAINT! I'M GOING TO DO THE BODY, ELISE, YOU CAN DO THE LEGS. I'VE GOT US SOME LOVELY PINK PAINT AS WELL. PERFECT FOR A FLAMINGO.

Elise starts painting one of the legs pink while Bec paints the body.

[Whooshing]

Later at the craft table, Bec says, NOW, THESE ARE LOVELY AND DRY AND YOU'VE DONE AN AWESOME JOB ON THE LEG THERE, ELISE.

Elise says, THANK YOU.

Bec says, LOVE IT. NOW, I'M GOING TO ADD SOME PINK RIBBON TO MY RECTANGLES. YOU'LL NEED TWO PIECES OF RIBBON, STRING OR WOOL. THREAD THEM THROUGH EITHER SIDE SO YOU CAN TIE THEM ONTO YOUR CHAIR.

Bec threads strips of pink ribbon through the rectangular holes on the sides of the cardboard flamingo body.

Bec says, NEXT, WE'RE GOING TO DRAW SOME FEATHERS. ALL RIGHT, ELISE. LET'S GET DRAWING. WE'VE GOT TWO DIFFERENT SHADES OF PINK HERE TO ADD A NICE EFFECT HERE TO OUR FINISHED FLAMINGO.

Bec and Elsie draw feathers onto pieces of paper that are different shades of pink.

Bec says, NOW, IT'S TIME TO CUT THESE OUT!

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

Later at the craft table, light and dark pink feathers are stuck around the bowl on the oval body.

Bec says, HERE ARE ALL OF OUR FEATHERS CUT OUT AND STUCK ONTO THE BODY WITH P.V.A.

[Light, upbeat music plays]

Bec says, BUT I THINK IT NEEDS MORE.

Elise says, YOU CAN USE MY OLD FEATHER BOA.

Elise takes off her feather boa.

Bec says, BRILLIANT! I'M GOING TO WRAP THE FEATHER BOA AROUND LIKE THIS AND THEN I'M GOING TO ADD A CHEEKY TAIL FEATHER.

Bec wraps the feather boa around the bowl. She pulls out paper tail feathers on bright pink boa feathers and places them on the bottom of the bowl.

Bec says, I'LL STICK THESE DOWN AND THEN WE'RE GONNA ADD OUR LEGS.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the craft table, the oval flamingo body and cardboard tube legs are connected to the back of a chair.

Bec says, AND THERE IT IS ALL STUCK TOGETHER! I'VE TIED THE RIBBONS AROUND THE CHAIR, AND THERE YOU HAVE IT.

The back legs of the chair stand on the flamingo feet.

Bec says, NOW, WE'VE DONE A FLAMINGO, BUT YOU COULD DO A FROG OR A HORSE.

Elise says, THANKS, BEC!

Bec says, OH! YOU'RE WELCOME!

[Paint splattering]

[Gentle, upbeat music plays]

In Elise’s kitchen, Elise sits at the island on the flamingo bar chair.

[Flamingo chirping]

Elise’s dad sits on a donkey bar chair.

[Donkey honking]

Elise’s brother sits on a frog bar chair. Her mom stands on the other side of the island facing them.

[Frog ribbiting]

Elise and her family share a meal.

Elise turns and says, THANKS SO MUCH, BEC! THESE SEATS ARE AMAZING!

Elise turns back to her plate. Back at Makeaway Takeaway, Bec stands by the back counter with Elise’s order ticket.

Bec says, YOU'RE WELCOME, ELISE! I HOPE THEY MAKE MEALTIMES MORE FUN FOR YOU ALL. ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER.

Bec places the order ticket in a tray on the counter and turns to the front counter.

[Register dinging]

Bec says, I WANT TO MAKE SURE MY HAIR LOOKS GOOD FOR WHEN MY DATE ARRIVES LATER, SO I'VE SET UP THIS SPECIAL HANDS-FREE HAIRDRYER, WHICH SHOULD STYLE MY HAIR IN SECONDS.

Bec stands facing a paint-splatter-decorated hairdryer upright in a stand. Holding a round brush, she turns the hairdryer on.

[Hairdryer quietly blowing]

Bec says, OH. I CAN BARELY FEEL THAT. BETTER TURN IT UP TO ELEVEN.

Bec presses a button on the hairdryer.

[Hairdryer loudly whirring]

The hairdryer blows Bec across the takeaway.

[Bec screaming]

[Crashing]

Bec crawls across the floor and unplugs a cable from an extension cord outlet.

[Whirring slowing to a stop]

Bec climbs to her feet behind the front counter with clumps of her hair in knots.

Bec says, RIGHT. THAT'S DONE IT. I THINK THAT HAIRDRYER WORKS A LITTLE TOO WELL.

Bec brushes at her hair with her fingers.

[Bec sighing]

Bec says, TIME FOR SOME PAPER PUPPETRY.

Bec looks around her.

Bec says, NOW, WHERE DID I PUT MY BRUSH?

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

[Gentle, spooky music plays]

Bec stands beside a large notepad with levers sticking out of one side. It features a drawing of a hallway with cracks in the walls, peeling wallpaper, and spider webs. At the end of the hallway, monstrous yellow eyes peek through the mail slot of a red door.

[Door knocking]

Bec knits her brow and says, OOH!

Bec moves a lever, and black woollen strings, like a cat's eye pupils, move side to side in the eyes.

[Growling]

Bec opens the red door.

[Door creaking]

[Gentle, calming music plays]

Bec continues to move the lever. Tied to paper balloons, the wool moves in front of a yellow bow tied to potted sunflowers. A teddy bear and a heart-shaped box of chocolates lean against the flower pot.

Bec sighs, PHEW!

Bec smiles and continues moving the lever, which moves the balloons and wool across the yellow bow.

[Whooshing]

At the takeaway, Bec sits at the lunch table. The table is set with a floral pink tablecloth, floral bowls with neatly folded cloth napkins, knives, forks, glasses and a candlestick holder.

Bec says, JUST GETTING THE TAKEAWAY READY FOR WHEN MY DATE ARRIVES LATER.

[Gentle, soothing music plays]

Bec rolls a paintbrush in a white cloth napkin.

[Bec humming]

Bec leaves the bristles exposed and places the rolled-up brush in the candlestick holder.

Bec says, I'M NOT ALLOWED REAL FIRE IN THE TAKEAWAY, SO I MADE MY OWN CANDLE! AH, THAT'S MUCH BETTER. I KNOW THE TAKEAWAY ISN'T THE MOST ROMANTIC PLACE FOR A DATE. I MEAN, I WISH IT WAS THE BEACH OR HORSEBACK RIDING OR A HOT AIR BALLOON.

[Record scratching]

Bec says, THAT GIVES ME AN IDEA FOR A MEGA MINI MAKE!

Bec leaves the lunch table.

[Paint splattering]

Bec takes a seat at the Mega Mini Make table, where craft supplies are laid out, including coloured markers, a white piece of paper, a stapler, a pair of scissors, and a plastic sheet protector.

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A MAGIC PICTURE OF A HOT AIR BALLOON. I'LL START BY DRAWING THE HOT AIR BALLOON. I'M GOING TO USE THE WHOLE PAGE FOR THIS PICTURE.

Bec uncaps a thick black marker. On three-quarters of the white piece of paper, she draws the balloon of a hot air balloon.

Bec says, BALLOON. I’LL DRAW A BASKET.

Bec draws a hot air balloon skirt above a hot air balloon basket and connects the two with lines as rope.

Bec says, AND I'LL ADD SOME DESIGNS. SOME STRIPES. SOME WAVEY LINES.

Bec adds vertical stripes to the skirt and wavy horizontal lines to the balloon.

Bec says, HOT AIR BALLOONS HAVE REALLY INTERESTING PATTERNS, SO YOU CAN DESIGN YOURS ANY WAY YOU LIKE. LET'S DO SOME BIG DOTS.

Bec draws vertical lines between two wavy horizontal lines and large circles around the top of the balloon.

Bec says, THEN WE'LL ADD SOMEONE IN THE BASKET. A LITTLE FIRE-BREATHING DRAGON.

Bec draws a dragon in the basket, breathing fire into the balloon and caps her marker.

Bec says, MAKE SENSE? AND I'LL START COLOURING IT IN. HOT AIR BALLOONS ARE VERY COLOURFUL, SO I'M GOING TO COLOUR IN THE WHOLE BALLOON.

Bec starts colouring in her drawing with her coloured markers. She colours the basket brown, the spaces between the lower vertical lines orange and yellow, and the space between two wavy lines blue.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the Mega Mini Make table, Bec says, I'VE COLOURED THE BALLOON AND I'M JUST FINISHING THE LAST BIT.

[Light, cheerful music plays]

The spaces between the upper vertical lines are yellow and blue, and the circles at the top of the balloon are purple. Bec colours the space around the purple circles orange. Her fire-breathing dragon is green.

Bec says, AH! LOVELY! AND NOW FOR THE MAGIC PART. I'VE CUT THE FRONT OFF OF A PLASTIC WALLET AND I'VE JUST LEFT A LITTLE PART OF THE BOTTOM THERE. SO LET'S PLACE THE PICTURE ON TOP OF THE PLASTIC SLEEVE. YOU CAN SLIDE THAT INTO THAT FOLD THERE AND STAPLE IT AT THE TOP.

Bec takes the separated top sheet of plastic from her sheet protector, also known as a plastic wallet, and folds down a small part of the end. She places her drawing face down on the plastic and slides the top under the small fold. On the fold, Bec then staples the drawing to the plastic.

[Stapler clicking]

[Gentle, funky music plays]

Bec says, I'VE ALSO MADE A LITTLE TAB WITH AN ARROW TO HELP ME PULL THE PICTURE UP LATER.

Bec staples a small piece of red paper with a drawn-on arrow pointing upward above the hot air balloon onto the fold.

[Stapler clicking]

Bec says, THERE WE ARE! FLIP IT OVER AND TRACE OVER THE BLACKOUT LINES ON TOP OF THE PLASTIC. TRY TO MATCH THE LINE UNDERNEATH AS CLOSELY AS POSSIBLE. I'LL KEEP GOING UNTIL ALL THE BLACK LINES HAVE BEEN TRACED OVER.

Bec flips the drawing plastic side up and traces over the black lines onto the plastic with the black marker.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the Mega Mini Make table, Bec says, I'VE TRACED OVER ALL THE BLACK OUTLINES, SO LET ME SHOW YOU HOW IT WORKS.

[Gentle, upbeat music plays]

Bec says, I'VE TAKEN ANOTHER PLASTIC POCKET AND PUT A PIECE OF WHITE PAPER INSIDE. THEN I'VE STAPLED AT THE BOTTOM. LET'S SLIDE OUR PICTURE INTO THE PLASTIC POCKET, WHICH THE COLOURED BALLOON BEHIND THE WHITE PIECE OF PAPER AND THE OUTLINE ON TOP OF IT. LIKE A SANDWICH.

Bec peels back the plastic sheet on the hot air balloon drawing. In a sheet protector, behind a white piece of paper stapled to the plastic, Bec slides in the coloured drawing. On top of the white paper, she slides in the plastic sheet with the black hot air balloon outline.

[Plastic rustling]

Bec says, WE'LL TUCK THAT IN. IN YOU GO. LET'S SEE IT IN ACTION.

Bec pulls on the arrow tab and pulls the coloured hot air balloon drawing and the black outline out of the sheet protector at the same time. As she pulls them out, it looks like the drawing is coloured in.

Bec says, MAGICALLY, THE PICTURE IS COLOURING ITSELF IN!

Bec pulls the drawing out of the sheet protector.

Bec says, AND THERE IS YOUR MAGIC PICTURE OF A HOT AIR BALLOON.

[Paint splattering]

Later in the takeaway, Bec looks through matching Makeaway Takeaway yellow polo shirts on a clothes rack.

[Clothes rack and hangers clinking]

[Gentle music plays]

Bec says, THE HARDEST PART ABOUT GETTING READY FOR A DATE IS CHOOSING WHAT TO WEAR. HMM. AH-HA!

Bec pulls one of the identical shirts off the rack and holds it in front of the same matching shirt she wears.

Bec says, PERFECT!

[Notification alert dinging]

A bell icon appears on the Makeway Takeaway order screen.

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

Bec hangs up the shirt and runs over to the Make of the Day conveyor belt by the front counter.

A child says, IT'S THE MAKE OF THE DAY! HI!

[Light, cheerful music plays]

On a video call, a child, wearing her long black hair in braided pigtails with a red flower, wears a red turtleneck. Bec smiles.

The long-haired girl says, I'M KHADIJA AND I'M FROM BLACKBURN.

Bec says, HI, KHADIJA!

Khadija asks, WHAT CAN YOU MAKE OUT OF THESE THREE INGREDIENTS? TWIGS, PIPE CLEANERS, AND NAPKINS.

The conveyor belt delivers the Make of the Day ingredients to Bec on plastic plates.

Bec says, HMM. GOOD QUESTION, KHADIJA. TELL ME, WHAT'S THE BEST GIFT YOU'VE EVER GIVEN SOMEONE?

Khadija says, I ONCE GAVE MY MUM AN AMAZING BUNCH OF FLOWERS FOR MOTHER'S DAY. THEY WERE SO BEAUTIFUL. I JUST WISH THEY LASTED LONGER.

Bec says, AW! THAT'S SO LOVELY! WHICH GIVES ME AN IDEA! ONE MAKE OF THE DAY COMING RIGHT UP!

Bec steps away from the conveyor belt to her workspace on the counter with the Make of the Day ingredients laid out. Other craft supplies on the counter include a pair of scissors, a paper cup, a strip of blue ribbon and a black marker.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE FOREVER FLOWERS USING KHADIJA'S INGREDIENTS!

[Fanfare plays]

[Paint splattering]

A bouquet of colourful flower napkins wrapped with a blue ribbon is shown.

[Cheering and applause]

[Paint splattering]

Behind the front counter, Bec says, I'M STARTING WITH KHADIJA'S FIRST INGREDIENT, THE PIPE CLEANERS!

[Gentle, chill music plays]

Bec grabs an orange pipe cleaner.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO WRAP IT IN GREEN TAPE. THIS IS GOING TO BE THE STEM OF ONE OF OUR FLOWERS. YOU DON'T NEED TO USE A PIPE CLEANER. YOU COULD USE A GREEN PAPER STRAW OR A GREEN PENCIL. I'M WRAPPING ALL THE WAY DOWN THE PIPE CLEANER AT AN ANGLE LIKE A HELTER SKELTER.

Bec wraps the pipe cleaner entirely in green painters tape.

Bec says, AND THERE IS A STEM FOR OUR FLOWER. NOW, I'M GOING TO MAKE SOME PETALS USING KHADIJA'S SECOND INGREDIENT, THE NAPKINS! I'M JUST GOING TO FOLD THE NAPKIN IN HALF. I'M TRACING AROUND THE BOTTOM OF A RECYCLED PAPER CUP. DON'T WORRY IF THE LINES ARE A BIT MESSY. WE'RE GOING TO CUT THEM OUT LATER.

Bec folds a square red napkin in half. She traces the bottom of the paper cup onto the napkin with a black marker. She then traces the bottom of a short cardboard tube onto the napkin.

Bec says, GO AROUND THIS CARDBOARD TUBE. WITH SOME SMALLER CIRCLES. AND CUT THEM OUT. MAKE SURE YOU CUT INSIDE THE BLACK LINE. SO THAT YOUR PETALS DON'T HAVE ANY BLACK ON THEM. BECAUSE I FOLDED A NAPKIN IN HALF, I'LL GET MORE PETALS.

Bec cuts the circles out of the napkin and lays them on the counter.

Bec says, SOME BIG PETALS AND SOME SMALLER ONES. AND I'M TAKING THE STEM AND GLUING ONE OF THE SMALLER PETALS AROUND THE END.

[Light, upbeat music plays]

Bec spreads glue onto one end of her taped pipe cleaner stem using a glue stick. She wraps a small napkin circle around the pipe cleaner and shapes it into a petal.

Bec says, I'M WRAPPING THE NEXT ONE ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE. PINCH THEM TOGETHER.

Bec glues another circle around the other side of the pipe cleaner stem and shapes it into a petal.

Bec says, KEEP GOING. IT'S VERY RELAXING. YOU CAN MAKE THESE WHILE LISTENING TO MUSIC OR OUTSIDE IN THE SUN.

Bec adds more napkin petals, and a flower begins to take shape.

Bec says, I THINK I'M GOOD TO MOVE ON TO THE BIG PETALS NOW, AND I'M USING THE EXACT SAME TECHNIQUE. MAKING SURE I GO SLIGHTLY FURTHER DOWN THE STEM.

Bec glues a larger napkin petal onto the pipe cleaner stem.

Bec says, YOU CAN USE NAPKINS OF ANY COLOUR OR PATTERN YOU LIKE, BUT I'VE CHOSEN RED FOR A RED ROSE.

Bec adds another petal. She holds her finished flower.

Bec says, THERE'S MY RED ROSE.

[Paint splattering]

Later, behind the front counter, Bec says, NOW, I'LL SHOW YOU HOW TO A DIFFERENT FLOWER. I'LL TAKE ANOTHER OF KHADIJA'S NAPKINS, BLUE THIS TIME, AND CUT IT INTO THREE STRIPS.

[Light, upbeat music plays]

With the fold at the top, Bec cuts a square blue napkin into three even strips.

Bec says, ONE. TWO AND THREE. TAKE ONE OF THE STRIPS AND PUT A LINE OF GLUE ALONG THE EDGE.

Bec pulls one of the napkin strips apart into one long strip and spreads glue along the right edge.

Bec says, FOLD IT IN HALF. UNTIL THAT STICKS.

Bec folds the strip from left to right into one narrow strip.

Bec says, THEN FOLD IT A FEW TIMES.

Bec folds the strip from top to bottom three times.

Bec says, THERE YOU GO. SNIP ALONG THE EDGE. SOME LITTLE FRINGY BITS. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T CUT TO THE GLUED BIT.

Holding the folded strip horizontally, Bec cuts small tabs into the strip two-thirds of the way in.

Bec says. OPEN IT UP AND YOU'VE GOT A LOVELY FRILLY STRIP.

Bec unfolds the strip and spreads glue around one end of a tape-wrapped pipe cleaner stem.

Bec says, ADD SOME GLUE TO ANOTHER STEM I MADE AND WRAP THE NAPKIN AT AN ANGLE DOWN THE STEM.

Bec rotates the pipe cleaner stem with one hand and wraps the frilly strip around the top on an angle with the other. She spreads glue around the stem as she moves down it.

Bec says, IT LOOKS A BIT LIKE LAVENDER.

[Paint splattering]

Later, behind the counter, Bec says, I'LL SHOW YOU HOW TO DO ONE MORE FLOWER USING KHADIJA'S THIRD INGREDIENT, THE TWIGS.

[Gentle music plays]

Bec says, I’M GOING TO TAKE THE YELLOW NAPKIN FOR THIS ONE. THIS IS AN EVEN EASIER ONE, AS I'M GOING TO RIP THE NAPKIN UP INTO LITTLE PIECES.

Bec lays a twig on the counter and rips up a yellow square napkin into small pieces.

[Napkin ripping]

Bec says, I'VE GOT SOME NICE PIECES HERE. AND SCRUNCH THE PIECES INTO LITTLE BALLS. DIP THEM ON THE GLUE. AND THEN, STICK THEM TO THE TWIG.

Bec rolls a piece of ripped napkin into a ball. She drags it across the glue stick and sticks it onto a part of a small branch of the twig. She adds a second napkin ball to the twig.

Bec says, THESE LOOK LIKE LITTLE BLOSSOMS. I'M DOING THIS WITH YELLOW ONES, BUT YOU COULD DO ANY COLOUR. PINK NAPKINS LOOK LIKE CHERRY BLOSSOM. THIS TECHNIQUE IS REALLY SIMPLE, BUT IT LOOKS SO REALISTIC.

Bec adds more yellow napkin blossoms to the twig.

Bec says, A COUPLE ON THE SIDES AS WELL. LAST ONE.

Bec puts the lid on her glue stick and sets it aside. She grabs her red and blue napkin flowers.

Bec says, THERE'S THREE DIFFERENT TYPES OF FLOWERS. I'M GOING TO MAKE A BUNCH MORE FOR A BEAUTIFUL BOUQUET.

[Paint splattering]

Later, behind the front counter, Bec places a yellow rose flower into a bucket of yellow, pink, red, orange and blue napkin forever flowers.

Bec says, GOT MY LOVELY BOUQUET OF FOREVER FLOWERS. PLACE THE FLOWERS ON TOP OF TWO NAPKINS.

Bec gathers the napkin flowers from the bucket and places the pipe cleaner stems on two white napkins, unfolded across the counter.

Bec says, THAT'S NICE. WRAP THEM UP. AND THEN TIE A BOW.

Bec wraps the white napkins around the pipe cleaner stems and then ties a bow around them with the blue ribbon. She holds up the completed flower bouquet.

Bec says, AND THERE IS YOUR BEAUTIFUL BOUQUET OF FOREVER FLOWERS. WHILE I GET READY TO SEND THESE TO KHADIJA, HERE'S SOME OTHER IDEAS!

Bec ducks behind the counter.

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

[Upbeat music plays]

A creation with taped pipe cleaners, twigs and cut-up napkins makes a reef with coral, seaweed, fish and starfish.

Bec narrates, HOW ABOUT THIS CREATIVE CORAL REEF COMPLETE WITH TROPICAL FISH? OR THIS FLORAL WREATH WITH COLOURFUL BUTTERFLIES.

A paper leaf wreath features butterflies, paper flowers and twig blossoms. In the takeaway, Bec slides a takeout bag into the delivery hatch in the wall.

Bec says, HERE YOU GO, KHADIJA. ONE FRESH BOUQUET ON ITS WAY!

Bec presses a button beside the hatch, and the platform inside rises.

[Beeping]

[Paint splattering]

At Khadija’s house, Khadija pulls the forever flower arrangement out of the takeout bag and smiles.

Khadija says, WOW! THESE ARE SO COLOURFUL! THANKS, BEC, FOR THE BRILLIANT FOREVER FLOWERS. I LOVE THEM!

At the takeaway, Bec says, ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER!

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Light, relaxing music plays]

At the takeaway, Bec smooths out the floral tablecloth on the lunch table.

Bec says, THE TAKEAWAY IS LOOKING GOOD. I'M LOOKING GOOD. I WONDER WHAT MY DATE LOOKS LIKE? MY LAST DATE WAS SMALL AND WRINKLY, BUT VERY SWEET.

[Bell dinging]

[Door squeaking]

Bec squeals, EEE!

Bec leaves.

Bec says, HI! YES! I'M BEC. THANK YOU!

Bec returns with a small gift box.

[Bec gasping]

Bec places the gift box on the lunch table and takes a seat behind one of the plate settings. She unfolds the cloth napkin in her bowl and tucks it into the collar of her shirt. Bec opens the gift box, revealing a date. She takes the date out and puts it in her bowl.

Bec says, THE PERFECT DATE!

Bec grabs her knife and fork.

Bec says, DATES ARE MY FAVOURITE FRUIT.

Bec lowers her knife and fork toward the date.

[Phone ringing]

Bec stops and looks across the room.

Bec says, THE BANANA PHONE!

Bec drops her knife and fork on the table. She grabs the banana phone off the Mega Mini Make table and answers a call.

Bec says, HELLO! MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY.

On the other end of the call, on a beach, a boy with short, light brown hair wears a blue T-shirt.

The brown-haired boy says, HI, BEC! MY NAME'S JENSON. CAN YOU DELIVER AN ARTY SURPRISE FOR OUR R.N.L.I. RESCUER RUDY?

Bec says, OH, YEAH! HE DEFINITELY DESERVES AN ARTY SURPRISE!

Bec ends the call and says, LOOKS LIKE I GET TO GO TO THE SEASIDE AFTER ALL! TIME TO SPLIT!

With the banana phone on the Mega Mini Make table, Bec leaves.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

[Upbeat, cheerful music plays]

In a harbour, boats crowd the water. On a beach, two children ride horses. Seagulls fly around a tall building.

[Seagulls squawking]

People drive down a boardwalk and past a Ferris wheel. On the beach, Bec walks up to a sign that reads, “Welcome to Scarborough” with her gift box date. She opens the gift box and looks at the date.

Bec says, DATE! WE'RE IN SCARBOROUGH! LOOK AT THE SEA!

Bec tilts the gift box toward the sea. Near the water, children run across the wet sand. Waves roll onto shore. At the Scarborough Lifeboat Station, two men in life vests ride a large boat out of the station garage.

[Seagulls squawking]

Inside the Lifeboat Station, a group of three girls and three boys, including Jenson, sit on a lifeboat facing a man with light brown hair wearing a black vest over a white T-shirt.

The brown-haired man says, GOOD MORNING, EVERYBODY, AND WELCOME TO SCARBOROUGH LIFEBOAT STATION. YOU'RE NOW SAT ON A D-CLASS I.L.B., WHICH STANDS FOR AN INSHORE LIFEBOAT. AND THIS DOES A LOT OF THE RESCUES INSHORE AROUND THE SCARBOROUGH BEACH AREAS.

A team of R.N.L.I. volunteers walk down the beach in rescue gear, including helmets, life vests and bright yellow jackets. They walk beside an inflatable orange boat. On the water, they race alongside the beach.

[Boat engine whirring]

In the Lifeboat Station, Jenson and a boy with short, dark brown hair wearing an orange T-shirt look at R.N.L.I. uniforms in locker cubbies. Bec walks up to them.

Bec says, HI, JENSON! HI, SAM!

Jenson and Sam, the brown-haired boy, turn to face Bec.

Jenson and Sam say, HI!

Bec says, SO, YOU'D LIKE ME TO DELIVER AN ARTY SURPRISE FOR RUDY.

Jenson and Sam say, YES.

Bec asks, AND WHAT DOES RUDY DO IN SCARBOROUGH?

Jenson says, RUDY VOLUNTEERS FOR THE R.N.L.I.

On the beach, Rudy, the brown-haired man, walks alongside the orange R.N.L.I. boat with the other volunteers.

Bec says, OH! WHAT DOES R.N.L.I. STAND FOR?

Jenson says, THE ROYAL NATIONAL LIFEBOAT INSTITUTION.

Bec says, OH, WHAT DO THEY DO?

Jenson says, THEY ARE VOLUNTEERS AND DO VERY BRAVE WORK AROUND THE COUNTRY.

Bec says, THAT'S SO COOL! AND WHAT ELSE DOES RUDY DO?

Sam says, RUDY HELPS SAVE LOTS OF LIVES AROUND THE COAST EACH YEAR.

Bec says, WOW! THAT'S SO HEROIC! I THINK WE NEED TO MAKE SOMETHING VERY BIG FOR RUDY. AND A BIG IDEA NEEDS A LOT OF HELPERS. LET'S GET TO WORK!

[Gentle, upbeat music plays]

On the beach, the other children play in the sand. A blond-haired boy wearing a green T-shirt and a blond-haired girl with glasses wearing a pink T-shirt build a moat around sandcastles. A girl with light brown hair, wearing a yellow T-shirt, buries a girl with dark brown hair, wearing a white T-shirt, in the sand. Bec, Jenson, and Sam run up to the group.

Jenson says, HEY, EVERYONE! COME AND HELP US!

The dark-haired girl climbs out from the sand, covering her legs, and runs over to Bec, Jenson and Sam with the other children. Bec carries a wooden pole on her shoulder. She looks thoughtfully at the sand, then grins. Bec draws in the sand with the pole, starting with straight lines. Elsewhere on the beach, Jenson and Sam draw in the sand with wooden poles. Waves ripple in the sea toward shore. Rudy walks alongside the R.N.L.I. lifeboat. In the water, he rides in the lifeboat with two other volunteers.

[Boat motor revving]

[Light, cheerful music plays]

On the beach, Bec continues to draw in the sand: the blond-haired boy and dark-haired girl rake patches of sand. Rudy and the other R.N.L.I. volunteers speed across the water in their lifeboat: the Blond-haired girl and the light-haired girl rake patches of sand.

Bec says, LOOKING GOOD, GUYS!

Bec gives a thumbs up. She, Jenson and Sam rake different parts of the sand. A view from above shows the in-progress drawing featuring the R.N.L.I. volunteers in the lifeboat cruising among waves. In the sand art, seagulls fly above the water.

[Seagulls squawking]

Later on the beach, Bec says, ALL RIGHT, I THINK WE'RE ABOUT DONE! SHOULD WE GO AND GET RUDY?

Jenson, Sam and the other children cheer, YEAH!

Bec says, ALL RIGHT! OFF YOU GO!

The children take off running.

[Paint splattering]

Later on the beach, Rudy stands between Bec and the children with his hands over his eyes.

Sam says, TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT WE'VE DONE.

Rudy lowers his hands. He opens his eyes and looks at the drawing in the sand.

[Uplifting music plays]

The final drawing includes a flag on the R.N.L.I. lifeboat and a ripple in the water following the boat. In the boat, two volunteers sit in the front while the third steers with the outboard motor.

Rudy says, WOW! THAT'S ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, GUYS!

Jenson says, WE WANTED TO THANK YOU FOR SAVING LIVES AND KEEPING THE BEACH AND THE SEA SAFE FOR ALL OF US.

Rudy says, OH, THAT'S SO COOL! THANK YOU SO MUCH, AND ON BEHALF OF SCARBOROUGH LIFEBOAT STATION AND THE R.N.L.I., WELL DONE, YOU GUYS!

Rudy gives the children a thumbs-up.

[Seagulls squawking]

Bec says, BRILLIANT JOB. THAT'S BEEN ANOTHER BRILLIANT DAY OF DELIVERING ART TO YOUR DOOR! SEE YOU NEXT TIME ON…

Everyone raises their arms and cheers, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

[Gentle music plays]

A view from above shows the R.N.L.I. artwork in the sand.
