[Doorbell ringing]

[Energetic music plays]

[Whistling]

In the Makeaway Takeaway restaurant, different craft supplies fill fridges, cover countertops, and menus, including bottles of paint, scissors, sponges, ribbon and a box of paintbrushes and pens. Host Bec Hill dances in a jester’s costume. Bec wears her long, curly pink hair in a high ponytail. In her Makeaway Takeaway uniform, she wears a yellow polo shirt with a light blue collar, and a dark blue skirt with suspenders over light blue shorts. Children dance. Plates of cups, paint, sunglasses, balled up paper, and straws move on a conveyor belt. Bec holds a colander over her head. She blows bubbles into a bowl. Bec announces the title.

Bec says, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

[Doorbell ringing]

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

At Makeaway Takeaway, Bec stands behind the front counter, crafting a miniature bed. She twists a cap with a yellow pom-pom onto one of the bedposts. A pile of pet toys lie beside the bed.

[Bec humming]

Bec looks up and says, OH. HELLO. I'M BEC. WELCOME TO MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY! GUESS WHAT? GEORGE FROM THE YOGURT SHOP NEXT DOOR, THE CULTURE CLUB, HAS ASKED ME TO LOOK AFTER HIS PET TODAY. SO, WHILE I FINISH MAKING THIS PET BED, TAKE A LOOK AT TODAY'S MENU.

Bec twists another cap and pom-pom onto the second bedpost.

[Upbeat music plays]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Upbeat music plays]

Bec narrates, COMING UP ON TODAY'S SHOW, A TERRIFIC TEXTURE TECHNIQUE. I GET A CALL FROM A CUSTOMER WHO NEEDS SOME HELP WITH HER FOUR-LEGGED FRIEND. AND WE GET CLOSE TO NATURE, AS WE SURPRISE A REMARKABLE FORESTER.

Bec presses a piece of orange paper with a drawn-on texture onto a piece of art. In a backyard, a fluffy Pomeranian stands on its hind legs and spins around. Beside a large tree, Bec shapes a pile of dirt and decorates it with leaves.

[Paint splattering]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whistling]

Behind the front counter, Bec admires the miniature bed made from a box with a popsicle stick headrest and dish towel blankets.

[Gentle, soothing music plays]

Bec says, FLUFFY WILL LOVE THIS. FLUFFY IS THE NAME OF GEORGE'S PET, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF SHE'S A CAT OR A DOG.

[Door opening]

[Bell ringing]

Bec says, THEY'RE HERE!

Bec runs across the takeaway and leaves.

Bec says, HI, GEORGE!

[George speaking unintelligibly]

Bec says, OH, THANK YOU. OOH.

Bec returns to the front counter with a terrarium. She places the terrarium on the counter and furrows her brow.

Bec says, TURNS OUT FLUFFY ISN'T A CAT OR A DOG. SHE'S A CHAMELEON!

[Dramatic music briefly plays]

Bec looks at Fluffy resting on a large stick inside the terrarium.

Bec says, SHE'S NOT EVEN FLUFFY. QUITE SCALY. IT'S A COOL TEXTURE, THOUGH. AND IT GIVES ME AN IDEA FOR…

[Exciting music plays]

Bec spreads her arms and cheers, …A TAKEAWAY TECHNIQUE!

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

[Light, cheerful music plays]

Bec takes a seat at the lunch table with craft supplies laid out that include pieces of white, green and orange paper, coloured crayons, a pair of scissors, and textured items, including a piece of wood with bark, a wire mesh tray and a storage container lid.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU THE TECHNIQUE OF TEXTURE RUBBING. I'VE STARTED BY GATHERING SOME INTERESTING ITEMS WITH DIFFERENT TEXTURES. I'M GOING TO TAKE A PIECE OF PAPER AND PUT IT ON TOP. AND WITH A BLACK CRAYON, I'M JUST GOING TO START RUBBING IT ACROSS THE PAPER LIKE THAT.

Bec places a white piece of paper over the mesh tray. She holds a black crayon horizontally and drags it up the paper over the tray. The texture of the wire mesh appears as a drawing.

[Paper crinkling]

Bec says, AH. LOOK AT THAT INTERESTING TEXTURE! YOU CAN USE ANY ITEMS. THIS IS A TRAY I FOUND AROUND THE HOUSE. RIGHT IN THERE, ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE PAPER.

Bec colours across the entire paper.

Bec says, I'VE COVERED THAT PAGE. LET'S TRY A DIFFERENT TEXTURE.

[Gentle, upbeat music plays]

Bec sets the tray aside and grabs the storage container lid.

Bec says, I FOUND THIS LID. LOOK AT THAT. I THINK THIS WILL BE INTERESTING. I'VE GOT A RED CRAYON NOW. GOING TO PULL THAT ACROSS.

Bec flips the lid, revealing raised lines underneath. She sets the lid down and places an orange piece of paper over it. Bec then drags her red crayon across the paper, and lines appear.

Bec says, OH, LOOK AT THAT! IT'S LIKE MAGIC! THAT'S GOOD, ISN'T IT? OKAY. I THINK THAT ONE'S DONE. AND YOU DON'T JUST HAVE TO USE THINGS FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE. I WENT OUTSIDE AND GOT SOME WOOD AND MADE THIS ONE.

Bec sets the tray aside and grabs a piece of wood. She pulls out a piece of orange paper with a wood-textured drawing.

Bec says, GOT SOME NICE COLOURS AND TEXTURES HERE. SO, I'M GOING TO USE THESE TO MAKE A PICTURE OF A TOUCAN. I'LL START WITH THE BEAK.

Bec sets the wood and wood drawing aside and draws on a white piece of paper with a black marker.

Bec says, AND A ROUND BODY. THE BELLY. THE EYE, AND ITS FEET.

Bec draws a toucan.

Bec says, NOW, CUT IT OUT. I'M GOING TO CUT IT OUT INTO SECTIONS. START WITH THE BILL. IT'S OKAY IF IT'S NOT 100% PERFECT. WE'RE JUST USING THIS AS A TEMPLATE. WATCH YOUR FINGERS.

Bec cuts out the beak from the toucan drawing and then starts cutting out the body.

Bec says, YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO A TOUCAN. YOU CAN DO ANY ANIMAL YOU LIKE.

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

Later at the lunch table, I'VE CUT OUT ALL OF THE SECTIONS. I'M GOING TO HOLD ON TO THE BELLY.

Bec sets the belly of the toucan aside.

Bec says, NEXT, I'LL USE THESE AS MY TEMPLATES. I'LL JUST POP A LITTLE BIT OF TACK ONTO THE BODY.

Bec sticks pieces of tack onto the body of the toucan. She presses the black metal tray drawing onto the body, and then flips it over.

Bec says, NOW, WE CAN CUT OUT THE SHAPE.

Bec starts cutting out the body of the toucan on the black drawing.

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

Later at the lunch table, paper leaves lie on Bec’s left, and textured cutouts of the toucan’s body parts lie on her right. The toucan’s beak is orange with container lid lines, and a branch is orange with wood texture drawings.

[Gentle, upbeat music plays]

Bec says, ONCE YOU'VE CUT OUT ALL YOUR SECTIONS, YOU CAN MAKE YOUR PICTURE. I MADE SOME LEAVES USING SOME OTHER DIFFERENT TEXTURES AS WELL. WE'LL START BY GLUING DOWN THE BRANCH.

Bec spreads glue across the back of the branch, cuts it out using a glue stick, and then sticks it onto the green piece of paper at an angle.

Bec says, ADDING OUR LEAVES. I'VE USED DIFFERENT TEXTURES AND DIFFERENT SHADES OF GREEN TO GIVE MY RAINFOREST SOME DEPTH.

Bec glues leaves with different textured drawings onto and around the branch.

Bec says, RIGHT. I THINK IT'S TIME TO PUT OUR TOUCAN ON A BRANCH. SUCH AN EASY TECHNIQUE, THIS.

Bec glues the body of the toucan next to the branch.

Bec says, WE GOT TO GIVE OUR TOUCAN SOME FEET SO HE DOESN'T FALL OFF A BRANCH!

Bec glues blue paper feet to the branch and the toucan.

Bec says, WE'RE GOING TO ADD ITS BILL.

Bec adds the orange bill and grabs the white paper belly.

Bec says, ADD THE TOUCAN'S TUMMY. THIS IS THE TUMMY SECTION WE SAVED EARLIER.

Bec adds the belly to her art.

Bec says, NOW, WE'RE GOING TO ADD SOME MORE LEAVES. IF YOU STICK SOME OF THE LEAVES OVER THE TOUCAN'S BODY, IT MAKES IT LOOK LIKE THE TOUCAN'S HIDING IN THE RAINFOREST. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, I'LL ADD THE EYE.

Bec glues the rest of her leaves around the toucan. She gives the toucan a blue eye.

Bec says, AND THERE IS A TOUCAN TEXTURE RUBBING.

In animation, a picture frame appears around the toucan texture rubbing, and it sparkles.

[Paint splattering]

Behind the front counter, Bec glances at Fluffy the chameleon.

Bec says, I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CHAMELEONS, OTHER THAN THEY'RE EXPERTS IN CAMOUFLAGE. I WONDER IF THEY LIKE PLAYING GAMES.

[Bec gasping]

Bec opens the terrarium and peeks inside.

Bec says, OH, FLUFFY? FLUFFY!

Bec holds a tennis ball over the terrarium.

Bec says, SEE THE BALL? SEE THE BALL?

Bec throws the ball across the takeaway.

Bec says, GO GET IT.

[Glass shattering]

Bec frowns and says, PET SITTING IS HARD.

[Notification alert dinging]

An order ticket prints from the Makeaway Takeaway order screen.

[Printer whirring]

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

Bec steps away from the counter and leaves the terrarium lid open. In a video on the order ticket, a girl with long, curly black hair wears a light pink polo shirt.

[Gentle music plays]

The black-haired girl says, HELLO, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY. BEC, I NEED YOUR HELP! I LOVE GOING ON LONG WALKS WITH MY PET, NEVILLE. HE'S SO FLUFFY. BUT IT ALWAYS TAKE SO LONG TO GET HIM READY. CAN YOU HELP?

Bec says, FINALLY, SOMEONE I CAN PLAY FETCH WITH. DON'T YOU WORRY, RENELLE. ONE ARTY DELIVERY COMING RIGHT UP!

Bec grabs the order ticket and leaves.

[Energetic music plays]

In a comic book panel, Bec ties the laces on her pink sneakers and straightens her socks. She snaps her suspenders and puts on a Makeaway Takeaway visor. Bec puts on a craft tool belt which carries a paint roller, pen, scissors and other craft supplies. She straightens the collar of her shirt, winks, and gives a thumbs-up.

Bec says, LET'S DO THIS!

Bec takes off running.

[Light, cheerful music plays]

In a backyard, Renelle, the black-haired girl, stands beside a boy with short, curly black hair, a woman with long, curly blond hair and a short-haired man holding a brown-haired Pomeranian.

Renelle narrates, HI. MY NAME'S RENELLE. THIS IS MY FAMILY AND HERE'S MY DOG, NEVILLE.

Renelle walks down a path with her family. She walks their Pomeranian, Neville, on a leash.

Renelle narrates, WE LOVE GOING FOR WALKS AND PLAYING IN THE GARDEN. NEVILLE CAN EVEN DO TRICKS.

Neville chases a ball. He stands on his hind legs and spins around.

[Neville barking]

In Renelle’s house, Renelle runs through the kitchen to a pile of treats scattered across the island countertop.

Renelle narrates, BUT WHEN WE GO FOR WALKS, WE CAN NEVER FIND NEVILLE'S THINGS.

Renelle’s dad pulls a strip of dog pop bags off a high shelf. Renelle grabs a dog toy off a bowl of fruit, a pink stuffed dog toy out of a drawer, and a tennis ball out of the kitchen sink.

Renelle narrates, BEC WILL KNOW WHAT TO DO. I NEED A CREATIVE SOLUTION RIGHT AWAY.

Renelle grabs a dog leash hanging from a kitchen cupboard.

[Doorbell ringing]

Renelle says, THAT WAS QUICK!

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

[Gentle, exciting music plays]

In a craft room, with a large craft table full of crafting supplies, Bec joins Renelle. Renelle wears a blue Makeaway Takeaway apron. The crafting supplies include a sheet of cardboard, recycled containers, a large bowl, a short cardboard tube, a container of paint and a ball of paper.

Bec says, HI, RENELLE.

Renelle says, HI, BEC.

Bec asks, HOW CAN I HELP?

Renelle says, I NEED SOMETHING TO PUT ALL NEVILLE'S THINGS IN.

Bec says, OOH. HOW ABOUT A DOG BUM ORGANIZER?

[Fanfare plays]

[Renelle giggling]

A crinkle paper dog bum with painted containers holding dog toys and pet supplies is shown.

[Cheering and applause]

[Paint splattering]

[Cheerful, upbeat music plays]

At the craft table, Bec says, SO, WE'VE GOT THIS BIG PIECE OF RECYCLED CARD, AND I'M GOING TO DRAW NEVILLE'S BACKSIDE. AND LET'S TRACE AROUND THE CARDBOARD TUBE FOR HIS BUM.

Bec draws the back legs of a dog onto the sheet of cardboard using a black marker and traces the small cardboard tube near the top centre.

Bec says, I'M ALSO GOING TO DRAW NEVILLE'S TAIL. BECAUSE WE'RE GOING TO STICK IT ON DIFFERENTLY SO IT STICKS OUT. AND I'M JUST DRAWING A LITTLE TAB. YOU'LL SEE WHY LATER.

Bec draws a dog tail separate from the legs with a tab at the end.

Bec says, NOW, WE'LL CUT IT OUT. YOU MIGHT WANT AN ADULT TO HELP YOU WITH THIS BIT.

Bec starts cutting the legs out of the cardboard. Renelle works on cutting out the tail.

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

[Light, cheerful music plays]

Later at the craft table, Bec says, SO THAT’S ALL OUR PIECES CUT OUT, AND I'LL SHOW YOU WHY WE'VE GOT THAT TAB ON THE TAIL NOW. SO, LATER, WHEN WE STICK IT ON NEVILLE'S TAIL COMES OUT.

Bec slides the tab in the cardboard tail over the top of the cardboard dog backside. She wiggles the tail, and Renelle smiles.

Bec says. HE'S VERY HAPPY, ISN'T HE? NEXT, I'M TAKING THE CARDBOARD TUBE THAT WE USED EARLIER TO TRACE AROUND, AND CUTTING IT IN HALF.

Renelle nods, and Bec cuts the small cardboard tube in half with a pair of scissors.

Bec says, AND I'M JUST CUTTING SOME TABS IN THE END. YOU NEED ABOUT A CENTIMETRE OR SO. FOLDING THEM OUT AND SPLAYING THE EDGES.

Bec cuts evenly spaced tabs around one of the cardboard tube halves and folds them outward.

Bec says, THAT'S ALL SPLAYED. THIS IS WHAT WE'RE GOING TO USE TO PUT NEVILLE'S POO BAGS THROUGH. POP THE TUBE THROUGH THE HOLE.

Bec slides the tube through the cardboard tube hole in the backside and looks through it.

Bec says, OOH!

Bec lays the cardboard backside face down on the table.

Bec says, AND WE'RE GOING TO TAPE DOWN THE TABS HERE. NICE AND SECURE.

Bec tapes down the cardboard tube tabs with masking tape.

Bec says, NOW, WE'RE GOING TO ADD SOME POTS, SO WE'VE GOT THINGS TO PUT NEVILLE'S ITEMS IN. WE'RE USING SOME OF OUR RECYCLING.

Renelle eagerly nods. She and Bec place matching recycled containers on the cardboard legs. Renelle passes Bec a rectangular recycled container.

Bec says, SO, WE'RE GOING TO PAINT THESE TO MATCH NEVILLE'S FUR.

Bec and Renelle paint the containers brown.

Bec asks, CAN NEVILLE DO ANY TRICKS?

Renelle says, YEAH.

Bec asks, WHAT?

Renelle says, HE CAN WALK ON HIS BACK LEGS.

Bec says, WOW. SO CAN I.

[Renelle chuckling]

Bec says, I'M GOING TO KEEP PAINTING TILL WE'VE DONE ALL OF IT, AND THEN WE'LL LEAVE IT TO DRY.

[Whooshing]

Later at the craft table, the recycled containers sit dry beside the cardboard backside and tail.

Bec says, OUR POTS ARE DRY, SO WE'RE GOING TO STICK THEM ON. SO, I'LL POP SOME STRONG GLUE HERE. CAN YOU PUT THE POT DOWN?

Bec squeezes glue onto the end of a cardboard leg. Renelle presses one of the matching recycled containers onto the glue.

Bec says, FANTASTIC.

A picture of Neville shows him in a pumpkin field wearing a winter jacket.

Bec says, I SEE NEVILLE HAS SOME VERY FUZZY FUR THERE, SO WE'RE GOING TO TAKE SOME CARD, ‘CAUSE IT’S THE SAME COLOUR, BUT FIRST, HOW DO YOU THINK WE TURN THIS INTO THIS?

Bec holds up a small sheet of cardboard and a bundle of shredded crinkle paper.

Renelle says, THE INSIDE OF THE CARD.

Bec says, THE INSIDE OF THE CORRUGATED CARD! CORRECT.

Bec tilts the cardboard sheet, revealing the crinkled paper inside.

Bec says, I'LL SHOW YOU HOW WE GET IN THERE. I'VE GOT SOME WATER AND A PAINTBRUSH, AND I AM JUST PAINTING OVER THE CARD WITH THE PAINTBRUSH. IT'S GOING TO GET NICE AND WET, COVERING THE WHOLE THING.

Bec paints the cardboard sheet with water.

Bec says, ALL RIGHT. LET'S START PEELING.

[Gentle, upbeat music plays]

Bec peels the top smooth, damp layer off the cardboard sheet.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO PEEL THAT BACK. LOOK AT THAT. LOOKS GOOD, DOESN'T IT?

Renelle says, YEAH.

Bec says, SO, WE'LL DO THE SAME THING TO THE OTHER SIDE, AND WE'RE GOING TO DO LOTS OF THEM.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the craft table, Bec holds a sheet of crinkled paper. On the cardboard backside, the matching containers are on the legs, and the larger container is under the cardboard tube.

Bec says, ONCE YOU'RE DONE, YOU'LL END UP WITH SOMETHING LIKE THIS. AND THEN, I'VE CUT ALL THE PIECES INTO STRIPS ALONG THE LINES. THEN, USING THE STRIPS AND A PAIR OF SCISSORS...

Bec cuts evenly spaced tabs halfway into a strip of crinkled paper.

Bec says, ...WORK YOUR WAY ALONG. AND ONCE YOU'RE FINISHED, WRAP IT AROUND LIKE THIS.

Bec wraps the strip around itself.

Bec says, GET A BIT OF TAPE. STICK IT ON THE END. NOW, I'M CUTTING A TAB.

Bec tapes the end of the strip and cuts a tab into the middle of the uncut side.

[Scissors snipping]

Bec says, JUST SPLAYING THE ENDS.

Bec spreads the split ends apart.

Bec says, AND THAT IS THE PERFECT TEXTURE FOR NEVILLE'S FUR!

Renelle nods.

Bec says, I'VE MADE LOADS OF THESE, SO WE'RE GOING TO STICK THEM ON TO NEVILLE'S BODY.

Bec places a bowl of crinkled paper bundles. She and Renelle start gluing them to the cardboard backside. Bec wraps the cardboard tail with crinkle paper and slides it into place on the backside.

Bec says, I'LL SLOT IN THE TAIL, AND WE'RE GOING TO KEEP ADDING FLUFF UNTIL THE WHOLE THING IS COVERED.

[Paint splattering]

Later at the craft table, Bec says, WE'VE COVERED NEVILLE'S BACKSIDE IN THE CARDBOARD FUR, AND NOW WE'RE GOING TO ADD SOME DECORATIONS THAT RENELLE'S MADE.

[Upbeat, cheerful music plays]

Renelle glues a black paper bone onto the larger painted container. She and Bec glue paw prints onto the matching containers.

Bec says, ONCE THE DECORATIONS ARE STUCK ON. WE TURN IT OVER. ADD SOME STRINGS SO WE CAN HANG IT UP. AND FINALLY, WE'LL ADD THE POO BAGS.

Bec flips the cardboard backside onto the table and tapes a brown string to the top as a handle. She slides a piece of string through a roll of dog poo bags.

Bec says, THREAD THE STRING THROUGH THE CENTRE OF THE ROLL.

Renelle says, I'M ALWAYS THE ONE THAT PICKS NEVILLE'S POO UP.

Bec says, AH. THAT'S VERY NICE OF YOU, THOUGH.

Bec loosely tapes the string holding the roll of poo bags onto the cardboard backside, above the cardboard tube.

Bec says, DON'T MAKE IT TOO TIGHT. YOU WANT THAT TO BE ABLE TO ROLL. DOWN, AND ROLL THROUGH THERE.

Bec slides the first poo bag in the roll through the cardboard tube. She picks up the backside, and the bag sticks out of the tube.

Bec says, THERE WE GO. WE JUST NEED NEVILLE'S TOYS!

Renelle grabs a handful of dog treats.

Bec says., OH, YEAH. GOT SOME LOVELY TREATS THERE.

Renelle drops the treats into one of the matching containers on the cardboard backside.

[Treats clattering]

Bec says, GREAT.

Renelle places the pink stuffed toy into the larger container on the backside.

Bec says, AW!

Renelle adds a rope toy to the larger container and hangs a leash over the cardboard tail.

Bec says, THAT IS THE PERFECT PLACE FOR THE LEAD! WANT TO TRY IT OUT?

Renelle nods and pulls poo bags out through the cardboard tube.

Bec says, OH, POO BAGS! OH, LOVELY. AND THERE IS YOUR DOG BUM ORGANIZER.

Renelle gathers the multiple poo bags hanging from the cardboard tube.

[Bec and Renelle giggling]

[Paint splattering]

[Upbeat music plays]

At Renelle’s house, Neville stands against a brick wall.

Renelle says, THANKS, BEC. THE NEW DOG BUM ORGANIZER IS THE BEST. NOW, WHEN WE GO ON WALKS, EVERYTHING IS SO SIMPLE AND IT'S ALL IN ONE PLACE.

The dog bum organizer hangs on the wall. Renelle and her brother grab dog toys from the organizer and walk outside with Neville and their parents. At Makeaway Takeaway, Bec stands behind the front counter with Renelle’s order ticket.

Bec smiles and says, OH, YOU'RE WELCOME, RENELLE! YOU, TOO, NEVILLE. MORE HAPPY CUSTOMERS.

Bec places the order ticket in a tray on the back counter.

[Register dinging]

Bec walks over to Fluffy’s terrarium on the front counter. Fluffy is missing.

Bec says, NOW, LET'S TRY A DIFFERENT GAME, FLUFFY.

Bec holds a cat toy with feathers on a string over the terrarium.

[Squeaking]

Bec frowns and says, FLUFFY?

[Bec gasping]

[Dramatic music plays]

Bec frantically looks around.

Bec says, WHERE'D SHE GO? I'VE LOST FLUFFY! OH, I NEED A BREAK. TIME FOR SOME PAPER PUPPETRY.

Bec steps away from the counter.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

[Gentle, light music plays]

Bec stands beside a large notepad with levers sticking out of one side. The notepad features a drawing of a black-haired person holding the handle of a baby stroller and staring at their phone. In the stroller, a baby wearing a onesie holds a red balloon. In the sky, birds fly among clouds.

[Baby babbling]

Bec smiles and pulls on one of the birds. The baby pops out of the stroller and rises toward the sky.

[Baby giggling]

The baby floats up to the clouds.

[Whooshing]

In the takeaway, Bec walks around holding a container with a lizard label. She shakes the container.

[Rattling]

Bec says, HERE, FLUFFY. HERE, GIRL. PSS-PSS-PSS. COME ON. I'VE GOT SOME TASTY LIZARD TREATS FOR YOU!

Bec points to and shakes the container.

Bec says, COME ON. MMM. DELICIOUS.

Bec opens the container and says, FLIES?!

Flies flutter around the takeaway.

[Flies buzzing]

[Bec screaming]

Bec swats at the flies and they fly away.

Bec says, NO, NO! COME BACK.

[Bec sighing]

Bec says, I'VE LOST THEM, TOO. IF I EVER GOT A PET, IT'D HAVE TO BE ONE THAT CAN'T RUN AWAY. WHICH GIVES ME AN IDEA FOR A MEGA-MINI-MAKE.

Bec leaves.

[Paint splattering]

Bec takes a seat at the Mega Mini Make table, where craft supplies are laid out, including a large piece of blue paper, a pair of scissors, a blue marker, a strip of red paper, and googly eyes.

Bec says, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE A SLOT-TOGETHER PET.

[Soothing music plays]

Bec says, START BY DRAWING A CAT'S BODY. THE CAT'S GOING TO BE SITTING, SO THIS IS IT FROM THE FRONT.

Bec draws a cat’s head and body from the front with her black pen.

Bec says, THEN, FOR THE SIDES, THESE ARE ITS LEGS.

Apart from the cat’s body, Bec draws one of the cat’s legs from the side.

Bec says, LOOKS A BIT FUNNY RIGHT NOW, BUT YOU'LL SEE WHY I'M DOING THIS IN A MINUTE.

Bec draws a second leg and then a tail.

Bec says, AND FINALLY, A TAIL. NOW, I'M GOING TO CUT THEM OUT.

Bec grabs her scissors and starts cutting out the cat shapes.

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

Later at the Mega Mini Make table, Bec says, I'VE CUT OUT THE PIECES. I'M JUST GOING TO ADD SOME DETAIL.

Bec grabs the blue marker and starts drawing on the body of the cut-out cat. She draws ears, a nose, a mouth and whiskers, and lines as details.

[Funky, upbeat music plays]

Bec says, I THINK THIS IS LOOKING "PURR-FECT."

Bec colours stripes onto the cat’s tail.

Bec says, WE'VE GOT THESE LOVELY GOOGLY EYES. YOU CAN BUY GOOGLY EYES AT A SUPERMARKET OR ONLINE. IF YOU DON'T HAVE GOOGLY EYES AT HOME, YOU CAN ALWAYS DRAW SOME.

Bec sticks the googly eyes onto the cat’s face.

Bec says, I'VE GOT ALL THE BITS. SO NOW, I'LL SHOW YOU HOW TO SLOT THEM TOGETHER.

[Light, cheerful music plays]

Bec grabs her scissors and says, CUT TWO SLOTS IN THE BODY. ONE.

Bec cuts two slots into the bottom of the cat’s body.

Bec says, AND ONE SLOT IN EACH LEG, NOT ALL THE WAY.

Bec cuts slots into each leg of the cat where the knee sticks out.

[Scissors snipping]

Bec says, NOW, SLOT THEM TOGETHER.

Bec slides the legs into the slots on the cat’s body.

Bec says, THERE'S ONE LEG AND THE OTHER LEG.

Behind the cat, Bec pulls the back legs together.

Bec says, AS WE BRING THEM TOGETHER, YOU'LL START TO SEE THE SHAPE OF MY CAT. TO HOLD IT TOGETHER, I'M JUST PINCHING IT AT THE BACK WITH A LITTLE SLIT FOR THE TAIL. POPPING THE TAIL IN. AND JUST FOLD THAT DOWN TO HOLD IT IN PLACE.

Behind the cat, Bec cuts a slit through both legs. She slides the tail through the slit and folds the small end piece down.

Bec says, AND FOR THE FINAL TOUCH, WE'LL GIVE IT A COLLAR. PINCHING THE TOPS TOGETHER, GIVING IT ANOTHER SNIP.

Behind the cat, Bec holds the cat's legs together and cuts a small slit with the scissors.

[Scissors snipping]

Bec says, LET'S PUT THE COLLAR AROUND THE NECK. AND FOLD IT TOGETHER AT THE BACK.

Bec wraps the strip of red paper around the cat’s neck and slides the ends into the slit. She stands the cat up on the table.

Bec says, AND THERE IS YOUR SLOT-TOGETHER PET.

[Cat meowing]

[Paint splattering]

Later at the takeaway, Bec sits down on the lunch table bench with Fluffy’s terrarium.

Bec says, STILL CAN'T FIND GEORGE'S CHAMELEON.

[Phone ringing]

Bec grabs the banana phone off the bench.

Bec says, OH, THAT'S HIM NOW.

Bec answers the call.

[Phone beeping]

Bec says, HI, GEORGE.

[George shouting unintelligibly]

Bec says, YEAH. I'M AFRAID I'VE GOT SOME BAD NEWS. FLUFFY'S MISSING.

[George shouting unintelligibly]

Bec says, UH, I MEAN MISSING YOU! YEAH. FLUFFY'S MISSING YOU.

[George shouting unintelligibly]

Bec says, YOU WANT TO SPEAK TO HER?

Bec lowers and covers the phone.

Bec quietly asks, WHAT SOUND DOES A CHAMELEON MAKE?

Bec brings the phone back to her ear.

[Bec babbling]

[George shouting unintelligibly]

Bec says, OH. THAT SOUNDS JUST LIKE HER.

[George shouting unintelligibly]

Bec says, OKAY. SEE YOU SOON.

Bec ends the call and sets the phone down on the bench.

[Phone beeping]

[Bec exhaling sharply]

[Notification alert dinging]

A bell icon appears on the Makeway Takeaway order screen.

Bec says, A CUSTOMER!

Bec races to the conveyor belt behind the front counter. On a video call on the order screen, a girl with her long brown hair in braided pigtails wears a yellow T-shirt. On the wall behind her, artwork shows a unicorn and a rainbow.

The brown-haired girl says, IT'S THE MAKE OF THE DAY!

[Cheerful, upbeat music plays]

The brown-haired girl says, HI. I'M MOLLY FROM WEST YORKSHIRE.

Bec says, HI, MOLLY!

Molly asks, WHAT CAN YOU MAKE OUT OF THESE THREE INGREDIENTS? A PAPER PLATE, A TINFOIL TUBE AND SOME BUBBLE WRAP!

The conveyor belt delivers the Make of the Day ingredients to Bec on plastic plates. Bec looks thoughtfully at the ingredients.

Bec says, HMM. MIGHT NEED SOME INSPIRATION. TELL ME, MOLLY. IF YOU COULD BE ANY FOOD FOR A DAY, WHAT WOULD YOU BE?

Molly says, HMM. I'D CHOOSE A BURGER. THEY'RE MY FAVOURITE.

Bec says, OH! ME, TOO. IN FACT, WELL, THAT GIVES ME AN IDEA. ONE MAKE OF THE DAY COMING RIGHT UP!

Bec steps away from the conveyor belt to the workspace on the front counter with the Make of the Day ingredients laid out. Other craft supplies include a menu with a burger patty, buns and toppings, stacks of cardboard squares, bowls, a plate, coloured markers, and a pair of scissors.

Bec says, I'M GOING TO MAKE A BUILD-A-BURGER GAME USING MOLLY'S INGREDIENTS!

[Fanfare plays]

[Paint splattering]

A crafted burger patty and toppings are stacked around a red and white post.

[Cheering and applause]

[Paint splattering]

Behind the front counter, Bec says, I'VE GOT SOME CARDBOARD THAT I'VE TAKEN OUT OF THE RECYCLING, AND THESE ARE GOING TO MAKE THE ELEMENTS OF A BURGER.

[Gentle, upbeat music plays]

Bec grabs a cardboard square and points to the burger menu, which features a hamburger bun, a tomato slice, a piece of lettuce, a slice of cheese, and a burger patty.

Bec says, I'LL START WITH THE CHEESE, AS IT'S SQUARE. AND I'M GOING TO NEED A HOLE IN THE CENTRE. THE HOLE IS SO THEY CAN BE THROWN OVER THE POLE. I'M PLACING A BOWL IN THE MIDDLE AND TRACING AROUND IT.

Bec lays a bowl face down on a cardboard square and traces around it with a black marker.

Bec says, THE LETTUCE IS AN INTERESTING SHAPE. I'M GOING TO DRAW A WIBBLY-WOBBLY LETTUCE OUTLINE.

Bec draws a wavy line around a circle on a cardboard square.

Bec says, AND AS YOU CAN SEE, THE TOMATO, BUN AND PATTY ARE ALL CIRCLE SHAPES. SO, AGAIN, A HOLE IN THE CENTRE, THEN USE A LARGER PLATE FOR THE OUTSIDE. DO THREE MORE OF THESE, AND THEN CUT THEM OUT.

Bec traces a larger circular plate around a circle on a cardboard square.

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

Later, behind the front counter, Bec pops the bowl circle piece out of a plate circle, leaving a ring.

[Upbeat music plays]

Bec says, I'VE CUT THE CENTRES OUT OF ALL THE PIECES. REMEMBER TO KEEP THIS MIDDLE BIT. YOU'LL NEED THAT LATER. ONCE ALL THE PIECES ARE CUT OUT, IT'S TIME TO USE MOLLY'S FIRST INGREDIENT: THE BUBBLE WRAP. WE'RE GOING TO WRAP THIS AROUND THE CARDBOARD HOOP, USING A DAB OF P.V.A. TO HOLD IT IN PLACE.

Bec paints P.V.A. glue onto the cardboard ring and wraps a strip of bubble wrap around the edges.

Bec says, THIS IS GOING TO BE ONE OF THE BURGER BUNS, SO I WANT IT TO BE SQUISHY. BUBBLE WRAP IS PERFECT. KEEP WRAPPING AROUND THE EDGES UNTIL YOU'VE COVERED THE WHOLE THING.

[Paint splattering]

Later, behind the front counter, Bec says, I'VE FINISHED WRAPPING THE PATTY AND THE BUNS. I'VE GOT MY LETTUCE, TOMATO AND CHEESE. LET'S GET PAINTING! WITH A DARK BROWN FOR THE PATTY. I'VE MIXED THIS PAINT WITH P.V.A. SO IT STICKS TO THE BUBBLE WRAP.

Bec paints a bubble wrap-wrapped ring dark brown.

Bec says, I'VE FINISHED THAT. NOW, TIME TO PAINT THE CHEESE.

[Exciting music plays]

With yellow paint, Bec paints a square piece of cardboard with a circle cut out.

Bec says, LET'S PAINT ALL THE OTHER INGREDIENTS! MAKE SURE YOU PAINT ALL THE PIECES ON BOTH SIDES. AND I'M GOING TO TAKE THE REST.

Bec paints a cardboard ring red.

[Whooshing]

Later, behind the counter, Bec says, ALL THE BURGER BITS ARE PAINTED AND DRY, AND I'VE PAINTED A RED STRIPE AROUND MOLLY'S SECOND INGREDIENT, THE TINFOIL TUBE, TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A STRAW.

Bec holds up a tinfoil cardboard tube painted red and white like a candy cane.

Bec says, USING MOLLY'S THIRD INGREDIENT, THE PAPER PLATE, I'M GOING TO POP IT UPSIDE DOWN, TRACE AROUND THE TUBE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PLATE.

Bec flips the red paper plate face down. She holds the tube in the middle of the plate and traces around it with her marker.

Bec says, AND DO THE SAME ON ONE OF THE CENTRE CIRCLES.

Bec traces the tube onto the middle of a cardboard circle.

Bec says, USING MODELLING CLAY AND SCISSORS, CUT OUT BOTH HOLES.

Bec holds the paper plate over a piece of modelling clay, pushes the tip of her scissors through the traced hole and into the clay. She then cuts out the hole.

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

Later, behind the front counter, Bec says, ONCE YOU'VE CUT OUT THE HOLES, TAKE THE OTHER CENTRE CIRCLE AND STICK THE CIRCLES TOGETHER WITH SOME STRONG GLUE.

Bec glues a cardboard circle ring onto a cardboard circle.

Bec says, LET'S PUT SOME GLUE IN THE CENTRE TO MAKE A NICE, STURDY BASE.

Bec places the tinfoil tube in the hole made by the ring and glues it to the cardboard circle underneath.

Bec says, MAKE SURE THIS FITS.

Bec slides the red paper plate over and down the tube.

Bec says, AH. PERFECT! I'M GOING TO POUR SOME SAND IN HERE TO MAKE IT NICE AND HEAVY. JUST USING A FUNNEL.

With a funnel, Bec pours sand down the tube.

Bec says, I'M USING THIS MILK BOTTLE LID TO FIX IT ON TOP.

Bec glues a milk bottle lid onto the tube.

Bec says, AND THERE'S YOUR POLE FOR THE GAME. NOW, LET'S BUILD A BURGER!

Bec grabs her crafted burger bun, patty and toppings. She places the pole base on the Mega Mini Make table, takes a step back, and throws a burger bun ring around the pole. She then throws the burger patty ring down onto the pole.

Bec says, OH. YES.

Bec throws the cheese slice square and misses the pole.

Bec groans, AW!

Bec grabs the cheese slice. She tries again and throws it onto the pole. She throws the lettuce, tomato, and second bun ring onto the pole.

[Cheering and applause]

Bec cheers, YES!

Bec grabs a Makeaway Takeaway takeout bag.

Bec says, WHILE I PACKAGE THIS UP FOR MOLLY, HERE'S SOME ALTERNATIVES.

[Whooshing]

[Scissors snipping]

[Upbeat music plays]

Bec narrates, HOW ABOUT A CANDLESTICK LAYER CAKE OR A BUMBLEBEE HOOP PIE?

Other ring games include a layer cake with a candle pole and a beehive with various-sized rings and pom-pom bees. In the takeaway, Bec walks up to the delivery hatch in the wall with the takeout bag.

Bec says, HERE YOU GO, MOLLY. NOW, YOU CAN PLAY WITH YOUR FOOD.

Bec slides the bag into the delivery hatch.

Bec says, ONE MAKE OF THE DAY COMING RIGHT UP!

Bec presses a button beside the hatch, and the platform inside rises.

[Beeping]

[Paint splattering]

At Molly’s house, Molly pulls the Build-A-Burger ring game out of the takeout bag.

Molly says, WOW. LOOK AT THIS! IT'S MY FAVOURITE FOOD. I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY IT. THANKS, BEC!

Molly holds the ring buns, patty and toppings.

Molly says, RIGHT. HERE GOES.

Molly throws a bun ring onto the red and white pole.

Molly cheers, HEY!

At the takeaway, Bec says, ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER.

Bec steps away from the takeout hatch.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

[Gentle music plays]

Bec stands by the front counter with her hands on her hips.

Bec says, MAYBE TO FIND A CHAMELEON, I NEED TO THINK LIKE A CHAMELEON. THEY'RE COLD-BLOODED.

Bec looks around and says, AH, OH!

Bec pulls a jug of ice out from behind the counter.

Bec says, THIS JUG OF ICE CUBES SHOULD DO THE TRICK!

Bec pours the ice between her shirt and apron skirt.

[Ice clattering]

Bec says, AH! OH. WHAT DO I WANT? I WANT TO GO SOMEWHERE WARM, SOMEWHERE LIKE MY TANK.

Bec looks at the terrarium, where Fluffy lies on the branch.

[Bec gasping]

[Celebratory music plays]

Bec says, FLUFFY! WHEN DID YOU GET BACK?

[Door opening]

[Bell jingling]

Bec says, JUST IN TIME!

Bec grabs the terrarium and leaves.

Bec says, HI, GEORGE.

[George speaking unintelligibly]

Bec returns to the takeaway.

Bec says, YEAH. SHE WAS NO PROBLEM AT ALL.

[George speaking unintelligibly]

Bec says, ANYTIME. BYE, FLUFFY!

[Door closing]

[Bell jingling]

[Banana phone ringing]

Bec says, THE BANANA PHONE!

Bec answers a call on the banana phone.

Bec says, HELLO? MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY.

On the other end of the call, a boy with short, dark brown hair wears a blue T-shirt.

The brown-haired boy says, HI, BEC. MY NAME'S FRANKIE. CAN YOU DELIVER AN ARTY SURPRISE FOR HEAD FORESTER NICK AT BLENHEIM PALACE?

Bec says, NO PROBLEM! I'VE GOT THE PERFECT IDEA. I'M ON MY WAY!

Bec ends the call.

[Phone beeping]

Bec sets the banana phone down on the Mega Mini Make table and leaves.

[Whooshing]

Title: Makeaway Takeaway.

[Whooshing]

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

Outside a large palace, Blenheim Palace, in her Makeaway Takeaway visor and craft belt, Bec does a cartwheel and runs around the property. By a pond, she looks around, then continues her search. On a stone bench, Bec sits on her side like a nearby statue, with both legs and one hand on the bench. In a tree, Bec looks around.

A man says, THIS AREA IS CALLED HIGH PARK, AND THIS IS THE LARGEST ANCIENT WOODLAND OF OAK IN WHOLE OF EUROPE.

The man has short, dark grey hair and wears a dark grey Blenheim Palace polo shirt and speaks to a group of children, including Frankie. Among lush trees, he rests his foot on a shovel in the ground.

The grey-haired man says, WE'VE GOT A COUPLE WHICH ARE OVER A THOUSAND YEARS OLD, AND WHICH, ONE OF THEM IS RIGHT THROUGH THERE.

The group of children follow the grey-haired man’s gaze toward a large oak tree.

One of the children says, WOW.

Bec waves down from the tree and smiles.

Frankie says, I WONDER HOW MANY BUGS LIVE IN THIS MOSS.

Frankie sits on a fallen log beside a girl with long, dark brown hair wearing a white graphic T-shirt. Together, they look at a piece of moss-covered bark. Bec joins them.

Bec says, HI, MAISIE. HI, FRANKIE.

Bec sits beside a fallen branch beside Maisie, the brown-haired girl, and Frankie.

Frankie and Maisie say, HI, BEC!

Bec says, SO, YOU'D LIKE ME TO DELIVER AN ARTY SURPRISE FOR NICK, WHO'S THE HEAD FORESTER HERE?

Maisie says, YES, PLEASE, BEC. HE DOES SO MUCH AMAZING WORK HERE AT BLENHEIM PALACE FOREST.

Bec says, OH, YEAH? WHAT SORT OF WORK?

Frankie says, HE'S PLANTED OVER 300,000 SAPLINGS THIS YEAR.

Nick, the grey-haired man, plants a sapling.

Bec says, OH, WOW! THAT'S AMAZING. IN FACT, ALL THIS TALK ABOUT NATURE HAS INSPIRED ME. I'VE GOT THE PERFECT IDEA. LET'S GET TO WORK!

[Cheerful, upbeat music plays]

Bec, Maisie and Frankie take off running. In front of the palace, Frankie pushes a wheelbarrow of dirt, and Maisie carries a shovel. Bec looks around a tall oak tree and gives two thumbs up. Frankie and Maisie meet her at the tree, and Maisie gives her the shovel. Bec shovels dirt around the base of the tree. Elsewhere in the forest, Nick and the other children look at leaves in a tree. Bec shapes a design into the dirt using the shovel and her hands. Kneeling, Bec shapes an eye as a face starts to take shape in her design.

[Cheerful, upbeat music continues]

Bec stands. She dusts off her hands and her dirt-stained knees. Maisie flips a bowl of dirt onto a second eye, adding to the design. Bec moulds a mouth into the face and hugs the tree. She presses a cypress branch into the dirt around an eye and lays large leaves across the face with Frankie and Maisie. Bec, Frankie and Maisie lay piles of leafy branches around the face as hair. Frankie and Maisie collect sticks and add them to the artwork. They place their last leafy branches and step back with Bec.

Bec says, BEAUTIFUL!

Maisie says, I THINK NICK'S GOING TO LOVE IT.

Bec says, I THINK SO, TOO. DO YOU WANT TO GET HIM?

Frankie and Maisie say, YEAH!

Bec says, ALRIGHT, OFF YOU GO!

Frankie and Maisie take off running.

[Paint splattering]

Nick stands by the tree between Frankie and Maisie with his hands over his eyes.

Maisie says, TAKE A LOOK.

Nick removes his hands and looks down at the creation.

Nick says, WOW. THAT IS INCREDIBLE.

[Intense music plays]

A view from above reveals the final design, a face in the soil made of items from nature, including leaves, branches and sticks.

A singer sings, OOH-OOH, OOH-OOH.

Maisie says, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LOOKING AFTER ALL THE FORESTS AND PLANTING SO MANY NEW TREES.

Frankie says, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING US UNDERSTAND HOW IMPORTANT TREES ARE.

The other children from the group stand nearby.

Nick says, YOU'RE WELCOME. YOU'VE BEEN GREAT. AND THIS IS THE IDEAL SYMBOL. THIS IS THE GREEN MAN, WHO REPRESENTS REGROWTH.

Bec says, THAT'S BEEN ANOTHER BRILLIANT DAY OF DELIVERING ART TO YOUR DOOR. SEE YOU NEXT TIME ON...

Everyone throws up their hands and cheers, MAKEAWAY TAKEAWAY!

Light wind gently blows branches in the artwork.

[Doorbell ringing]
