Title: “Vegesaurs.”
Created by Gary Eck and Nick O’Sullivan.
Ginger, an orange tricarrotops, stands on a cliff top. Wasabi, Minty, and Split, three baby pea-rexes, ride on her head.
[Water splashing, wind blowing, snoring, jaw snapping, light music plays]
At the watering hole, leaves blow past a bask of cucumberdiles sleeping on a beach.
The narrator says, THE CUCUMBERDILES ARE MAKING THE MOST OF THE MIDDAY SUN. THEY'RE COOL-BLOODED, HENCE THE PHRASE, "COOL AS A CUCUMBERDILE. BUT DON'T BE FOOLED. IT'S ALWAYS A BAD IDEA TO DISTURB THEM.
[Rustling, snoring, boinging, thumping]
Ginger and the pea-rexes watch their purple ball bounce off cucumberdile snouts. The ball lands on the end of a cucumberdile’s snout in the middle of a row by the edge of the water.
Ginger says, WELL, I GUESS WE'RE NOT GETTING THAT BALL BACK.
[Pea-rexes crying, Ginger shushing]
Ginger says, YOU'LL WAKE THEM UP.
[Pea-rexes chattering]
Ginger says, I KNOW IT'S OUR FAVOURITE BALL, BUT THERE ARE OTHER BALLS WE CAN PLAY WITH.
[Pea-rexes whining, sand rustling]
Ginger says, HUH? WE HAVE HEAPS OF BALLS. NOW, WHERE ARE THEY ALL?
[Pea-rexes grumbling, upbeat music plays, coconutdon grumbling, water splashing, wind blowing]
The pea-rexes point to a ball wedged between branches at the top of a palm tree, a ball on top of a coconutdon’s head, and a ball on a swimming watermelonsucus’s head.
Ginger says, WELL, IF WE'RE GOING TO GET THAT BALL BACK, THEN WE NEED TO BE SUPER QUIET AND SUPER CAREFUL.
[Footsteps rustling, gentle music plays]
The pea-rexes run down the beach towards the cucumberdiles.
Ginger says, HEY! DON'T YOU WANT MY HELP?
[Split shushes]
Ginger says, OKAY, I'LL KEEP WATCH HERE THEN.
[Footsteps softly pattering, pea-rexes quietly chattering, boinging, Split shushing]
The pea-rexes walk on a cucumberdile’s head. Wasabi walks backwards behind Minty and Split. They each jump to the next cucumberdile, and Wasabi trips and falls.
Ginger asks, ARE YOU SURE YOU DON'T WANT MY HELP?
[Wasabi shushing, slide whistle, gasping, pea-rexes chattering, slide whistle]
The cucumberdile opens their eyes, and Minty and Wasabi jump onto Split’s head. The cucumberdile closes their eyes, and Minty and Wasabi jump off Split’s head.
The narrator says, WHEN A PEA-REX WANTS SOMETHING, NOTHING WILL GET IN ITS WAY.
[Wind blowing, smacking, dramatic music plays]
A leaf hits Minty’s face, and they stop walking. Split walks into Minty’s back, and Wasabi backs into Split. The cucumberdile beneath them opens their eyes.
The narrator says, BABY PEA-REXES ARE LIGHT ON THEIR FEET. THEIR TIPPY-TOE SKILLS COME IN VERY HANDY IN STICKY SITUATIONS.
[Chattering, Wasabi sneezing, thumping, light music plays]
Wasabi sneezes and knocks the other pea-rexes over. The cucumberdile opens their eyes and narrows them.
The narrator says, YOU'D HARDLY KNOW THEY'RE THERE.
[Grunting, snoring, quiet chattering, shushing, whooshing, light music continues]
The cucumberdile closes their eyes. The pea-rexes jump to another sleeping cucumberdile and look at the ball. Minty jumps onto the sand and gives Split and Wasabi a long stick. The three pea-rexes move the stick toward the ball, and the cucumberdile beneath the ball opens their mouth and snores.
Ginger says, DON'T WAKE UP! DON'T WAKE UP!
[Slide whistle, thumping, grunting, screaming, gasping, pea-rexes chattering, rustling, upbeat music plays, grunting, splashing]
The cucumberdile opens their mouth wide, and the ball rolls down their snout and bounces on a baby cucumberdile. The baby cucumberdile jumps and catches the ball. The pea-rexes slide off their cucumberdile’s head and land in front of the baby cucumberdile. They gesture at the baby cucumberdile to give them the ball. The baby cucumberdile turns and jumps into the water, carrying the ball in their mouth.
The narrator says, CUCUMBERDILES ARE VERY STRONG SWIMMERS. EVEN THE BABY ONES.
[Soothing music plays]
The baby cucumberdile dives and swims to a watermelonsucus, and they bounce the ball to each other off their noses. The watermelonsucus blows a bubble that encases the ball, and the ball floats to the surface.
The narrator says AND LIKE THE WATERMELONSUCUS, THEY LOVE WATER GAMES. ALTHOUGH, WATERMELONSUCUS PREFER TO PLAY IN A BUBBLIER WAY.
[Giggling, water splashing, pea-rexes grumbling, chattering, footsteps rustling]
Underwater, the watermelonsucus chases the baby cucumberdile. On the beach, Minty points to the ball floating in the water between two sleeping cucumberdiles. The pea-rexes run to the stick.
Further up the beach, Ginger says, WHATEVER YOU'RE THINKING, IT'S A BAD IDEA.
[Splashing, pea-rexes chattering, Ginger sighing, wind blowing, tense music plays, shouting]
The pea-rexes straddle the stick and float on the water. They use their feet to paddle. A blowing leaf covers Minty’s eyes, and the stick floats towards a sleeping cucumberdile’s open mouth. The leaf drops, and Minty frantically paddles with their hand. The open-mouthed cucumberdile awakens.
Ginger says, UH-OH! NOW, THEY NEED MY HELP!
[Snapping, upbeat music plays]
On the beach, Ginger jumps from cucumberdile to cucumberdile.
Ginger says, COMING THROUGH! LOOK OVER HERE!
[Jaws snapping, water splashing, tense music plays]
The open-mouthed cucumberdile shuts their mouth and swims towards the shore.
Ginger says, GOOD MORNING AND HAVE A NICE DAY!
[Cucumberdiles snarling, footsteps rustling]
Ginger runs across the beach, and the cucumberdiles slowly chase her.
Ginger says, SPLIT! WASABI! MINTY! MEET ME ON THE SAFE SIDE!
[Dramatic music plays]
Ginger jumps over rocks and lands on a second beach.
Ginger says, HA! HA!
[Groaning, crying, Ginger’s footsteps pattering]
On the second beach, the pea-rexes stand by their stick on the shore. Ginger runs to them.
Ginger says, WELL, WE TRIED OUR BEST.
[Pea-rexes chattering, rustling]
The ball bounces to Ginger’s feet.
The pea-rexes say, HUH?
[Gasping, thumping, baby cucumberdile grunting, pea-rexes chattering, upbeat music plays]
The baby cucumberdile stands by the water. The pea-rexes and the baby cucumberdile play with the ball.
The narrator says, NO MATTER WHAT SPECIES YOU COME FROM, EVERYONE PREFERS TO HAVE A PLAYMATE.
[Giggling, thumping, slide whistle]
Wasabi headbutts the ball. It flies over the rocks and bounces off the snouts of sleeping cucumberdiles. The ball stops on the snout of the cucumberdile in the middle of the bask.
Ginger says, UH-OH! WASABI!
[Upbeat music plays]
