DESCRIPTION: In front of a grocery store, Flower, a seven-year-old girl, wears a white bicycle helmet with cat ears, black overalls, a purple shirt, and boots. She stops beside a purple scooter with a striped basket on the front and looks at Flour the cat napping on bags of flour.
FLOWER: Come on, Flour. Let's go.
[Flower giggles, white-haired man chuckles]
DESCRIPTION: Flour the cat awakens and leaps into Flower’s arms. She puts him in the basket and rides the scooter past a white-haired man. She rides it past a woman with short brown hair and a tall man with brown hair. Between them, a boy with short brown hair holds a burrito.
FLOWER: Hey, Rudy.
RUDY: Hey, Flower.
[Bird squawks, Cuzzy cheers]

DESCRIPTION: Flour the cat runs to Louie and lifts the box higher.
LOUIE: Careful, Flour. What are these for, anyways?
[Flour the cat meows, box rustles]
DESCRIPTION: In front of the restaurant, Flower lies on the ground, colouring on a piece of paper. A dragon mask lies on the ground beside her. Louie puts the box down, and Flour, the cat, runs to it and peers inside.
FLOWER: Chinese Moon Festival, of course.
LOUIE: Of course!
[Paper rustles, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Flower shows Louie her drawing of a full moon, mooncakes, and her and Flour the cat holding a stick figure’s hand.
FLOWER: It's when we celebrate the biggest, brightest full moon of the year. It's like pretty lanterns and a big family dinner where we eat loads of yummy mooncakes.
LOUIE: Yum! Love mooncakes.
FLOWER: Wait till you try my Por Por's. She's coming to make them, and they're the yummiest ever.
[Phone rings]
DESCRIPTION: Nearby, Penny answers her smartphone.
PENNY: Hello? Wai?
[Door opens]
DESCRIPTION: Penny enters the restaurant.
FLOWER: It's Por Por! Her plane must have landed already.
[Upbeat music plays, paper rustles, Flour the cat meows]
DESCRIPTION: Flower picks up her drawing and runs to the door. Dirk stands on a milk crate and hangs a sign over the restaurant patio entrance.
FLOWER: See ya.
DESCRIPTION: Dirk wobbles on the crate.
DIRK: Huh? Whoa!
DESCRIPTION: Inside the restaurant, Penny stands at the counter and ends the call.
PENNY: Oh. Okay. Bye, Mama.
FLOWER: I can't wait for Por Por to get here.
PENNY: Sorry, bum-bum. Her flight's been cancelled.
[Flower gasps]
PENNY: There's a big storm.
[Sad music plays]
FLOWER: But-- but, her mooncakes! We can't have a Moon Festival without mooncakes.
PENNY: Or without Por Por.
[Penny sighs, door opens]
DESCRIPTION: Penny puts her hand on Flower’s cheek. She wipes a tear from her own eye, then leaves the restaurant.
FLOWER: Poor Mum. Hmm. I have an idea.
[Upbeat music plays, thunder rumbles]
DESCRIPTION: Flower holds Penny’s smartphone, and Por Por appears on the screen. She has short brown hair and brown eyes.
POR POR: Huh? Huh? Ai-yah, speak louder! So much wind.
DESCRIPTION: In the restaurant kitchen, Flower stands beside Dirk as he slowly stirs ingredients in a metal bowl.
FLOWER: Your mooncake recipe. Moon-cake.
POR POR: Okay. You can have the recipe. But first, we need to ask Chang'e. She gave it to me.
[Thump, soft music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Flour the cat jumps up and sits on the counter by Flower.
FLOWER: Chang who?
POR POR: Chang'e, the lady in the moon. The first mooncake ever was made for her as a symbol of love.
[Por Por speaks a foreign language]
DESCRIPTION: Por Por turns towards a window and looks up at the full moon.
POR POR: Can I give little Flower your recipe?
[Chimes]
POR POR: She said yes.
[The music stops]
FLOWER: Woo-hoo!
[Flour the cat meows]
FLOWER: Okay, Por Por. What do I need? Dad, hold this so I can grab all the ingredients.
[Spoon clinks]
DESCRIPTION: Flower gives Dirk the smartphone.
DIRK: Uh, hi, Chung Ling.
POR POR: Oh, you look tired, Dirk.
[Flower giggles]
DIRK: Thanks, Chung Ling.
[Por Por] Okay. First, you need flour.
[Flour meows, rustle, footsteps patter]
DESCRIPTION: Flour the cat pushes a bag of flour to Flower.
FLOWER: Got it.
POR POR: Honey.
[Soft music plays, door clicks]
DESCRIPTION: Flower takes a honey pot out of the pantry.
FLOWER: Yep.
POR POR: Lotus paste.
[Jar scrapes]
DESCRIPTION: Flower takes a jar of lotus paste off a shelf.
FLOWER: Uh-huh.
DESCRIPTION: Flower puts a carton with six eggs on a counter.
POR POR: Salted egg yolk. And lastly, the secret ingredient.
[Flower giggles]
POR POR: It makes my mooncakes extra delicious. It's magical. It's...
[Whoosh, beeps]
DESCRIPTION: The call ends.
[Flower gasps, Flour the cat meows, spoon clinks]
DESCRIPTION: Dirk puts the smartphone on the counter and picks up his bowl.
DIRK: Aw, lost connection. She'll be okay. We'll try again later.
[Flower sighs, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Dirk leaves the kitchen, carrying the bowl. Flower and Flour the cat look at the ingredients.
FLOWER: How are we ever gonna know what the secret ingredient is now?
[Chimes, Flower gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Penny enters the kitchen carrying a box that features an illustration of Chang’e and mooncakes in front of the full moon.
FLOWER: That's it. Chang'e will know. Come on. Louie can help.
[Upbeat music plays, scooter rattles]
DESCRIPTION: Outside, Flower rides her scooter to the House of Bargain. Flour the cat rides in the basket.
FLOWER: Louie, can you help us get to the moon?
LOUIE: Uh, no probs. You've come to the right place. You'll need a high-tech rocket for that. House of Bargain has all the gear you need.
DESCRIPTION: Later, in a darkened storage room, Flower, Louie, and Flour the cat stand beside a cardboard box with two flashlights attached to one end and a two-litre bottle attached to the side. Star stickers glow on the wall behind Flower.
FLOWER: Ta-da! Okay, Moon Rangers. Remember our mission?
LOUIE: Yep. Uh, what was it again?
[Flour the cat meows, bright music plays]
FLOWER: Go to the moon, find Chang'e, ask for the secret ingredient, make Por Por's mooncakes, and cheer up Mum.
LOUIE: Piece of mooncake.
FLOWER: All aboard.
[Flour the cat thumps, meows, yowls]
DESCRIPTION: Flower and Louie step into the large box. Flour the cat jumps head-first into a smaller box between the flashlights. He wiggles his feet, and Flower picks him up and sits him in the box.
FLOWER: Three, two, one, zero. Blast off!
[Upbeat music plays, click]
DESCRIPTION: Flower and Louie shake the box. They stand and lift it. Louie holds the side of the box as they walk forward, and Flower holds a flashlight.
FLOWER: Whoo!
LOUIE: Whoo! Let's go!
FLOWER: Chang'e, where are you?
[Flour the cat whines, soft music plays]
FLOWER: What is it, Flour? Is it her?
DESCRIPTION: Flower shines her flashlight on a small round robot vacuum.
LOUIE: A moon robot? Hectic.
[Beeps]
FLOWER: Hiya, robot. Can you help us find Chang'e?
[Eerie music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Louie imitates a robot moving its arms.
LOUIE, ROBOTICALLY: Maybe it only speaks robot.
DESCRIPTION: Flower imitates a robot moving its arms.
FLOWER, ROBOTICALLY: Can you help us find Chang'e?
[Flour the cat meows, exciting music plays, Flour the cat yowls, robot whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Flour the cat approaches the robot and taps a button on top with his paw. The robot moves forward, and Flour flees back to the box.
LOUIE: Robot attack!
[Flower gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Everyone ducks in the box, and the robot bounces off the front and changes direction. Flower lifts the box, and she and Flower the cat look at her drawing taped to a cupboard.
FLOWER: The Moon Lady.
[Light music plays]
FLOWER: Can you please tell us what the secret ingredient is?
[Chimes, cupboard creaks]
DESCRIPTION: On the drawing, the mooncakes and the moon illuminate. The cupboard opens.
LOUIE: Whoa! Beautiful.
FLOWER: And magical.
[Chimes]
DESCRIPTION: Flower picks up a jar of edible glitter.
FLOWER: Moon dust.
DESCRIPTION: Later, in the restaurant kitchen, Dirk looks at the jar. Louie sits on a stool, holding Flour the cat, and Flower stands beside her dad.
DIRK: Edible glitter? That is a secret ingredient. Let's give it a go.
[Flower giggles, glitter rattles, oven door creaks, Louie gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Later, Dirk opens the oven door and takes out the tray of mooncakes. He puts the tray on the counter, and smoke rises from the burnt cakes.
FLOWER: Huh?
[Flour meows, light music plays]
DIRK: Oh.
[Dirk chuckles nervously]
DIRK: Maybe mooncakes don't like glitter.
[The music stops]
FLOWER: But it was the secret ingredient.
[Phone rings]
DESCRIPTION: Dirk answers the smartphone, looking at the screen.
DIRK: Hmm? Hi, Chung Ling.
FLOWER: Por Por?
POR POR: Little Flower, did you find the secret mooncake ingredient? We thought we did, but look.
[Por Por shouts]
DESCRIPTION: Flower turns the smartphone towards the burnt mooncakes.
POR POR: I mean, mmm, so unique.
[Soft music plays]
FLOWER: Ah, schnitzels. Now we have nothing to cheer up Mum.
POR POR: Your mooncakes might not look traditional, but they do have the secret ingredient.
FLOWER: Moon dust?
POR POR: No. Love. They'll be very delicious. You'll see. I just wish I could see my little Penny enjoy them.
FLOWER: Oh.
[Bells jangle, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Later, the restaurant door opens, and Penny exits with her hands over her eyes. Flower pushes her mother’s bottom as she walks to a table with the mooncakes and Flour the cat.
FLOWER: A bit further. Further.
PENNY: Oh!

DESCRIPTION: Penny sits at the table.
FLOWER: Ta-da!
PENNY: Huh?
DESCRIPTION: The plate of mooncakes sits in front of Penny. Dirk, Louie, and Louie’s dad sit at the table.
FLOWER: Happy Moon Festival, Mum.
PENNY: You made mooncakes?
FLOWER: Yep, with magical moon dust and a whole lot of love.
[Flower giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Penny hugs Flower.
DIRK: Aw.
[Dirk chuckles]
PENNY: These are...
[Munching]
DESCRIPTION: Penny tastes a mooncake.
PENNY: They're so... delicious! But who taught you how to make them?
POR POR: Hello, my little Penny.
DESCRIPTION: Por Por watches on the smartphone propped up against a cup on the other end of the table.
PENNY: Ah, Mama.
[Por Por speaks a foreign language, Penny chuckles, sniffles]
DESCRIPTION: Penny wipes her eye and hugs Flower.
PENNY: Well, this is the most magical Moon Festival I've ever had. Thank you.
POR POR: But next year, I fly to you early and show you how to make mooncake that is full of love, but not wonky.
[Everyone laughs]
PENNY: Oh, Mama.

DESCRIPTION: Everyone ducks in the box, and the robot bounces off the front and changes direction. Flower lifts the box, and she and Flower the cat look at her drawing taped to a cupboard.
FLOWER: The Moon Lady.
[Light music plays]
FLOWER: Can you please tell us what the secret ingredient is?
[Chimes, cupboard creaks]
DESCRIPTION: On the drawing, the mooncakes and the moon illuminate. The cupboard opens.
LOUIE: Whoa! Beautiful.
FLOWER: And magical.
[Chimes]
DESCRIPTION: Flower picks up a jar of edible glitter.
FLOWER: Moon dust.
DESCRIPTION: Later, in the restaurant kitchen, Dirk looks at the jar. Louie sits on a stool, holding Flour the cat, and Flower stands beside her dad.
DIRK: Edible glitter? That is a secret ingredient. Let's give it a go.
[Flower giggles, glitter rattles, oven door creaks, Louie gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Later, Dirk opens the oven door and takes out the tray of mooncakes. He puts the tray on the counter, and smoke rises from the burnt cakes.
FLOWER: Huh?
[Flour meows, light music plays]
DIRK: Oh.
[Dirk chuckles nervously]
DIRK: Maybe mooncakes don't like glitter.
[The music stops]
FLOWER: But it was the secret ingredient.
[Phone rings]
DESCRIPTION: Dirk answers the smartphone, looking at the screen.
DIRK: Hmm? Hi, Chung Ling.
FLOWER: Por Por?
POR POR: Little Flower, did you find the secret mooncake ingredient? We thought we did, but look.
[Por Por shouts]
DESCRIPTION: Flower turns the smartphone towards the burnt mooncakes.
POR POR: I mean, mmm, so unique.
[Soft music plays]
FLOWER: Ah, schnitzels. Now we have nothing to cheer up Mum.
POR POR: Your mooncakes might not look traditional, but they do have the secret ingredient.
FLOWER: Moon dust?
POR POR: No. Love. They'll be very delicious. You'll see. I just wish I could see my little Penny enjoy them.
FLOWER: Oh.
[Bells jangle, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Later, the restaurant door opens, and Penny exits with her hands over her eyes. Flower pushes her mother’s bottom as she walks to a table with the mooncakes and Flour the cat.
FLOWER: A bit further. Further.
PENNY: Oh!
[Penny chuckles]
DESCRIPTION: Penny sits at the table.
FLOWER: Ta-da!
PENNY: Huh?
DESCRIPTION: The plate of mooncakes sits in front of Penny. Dirk, Louie, and Louie’s dad sit at the table.
FLOWER: Happy Moon Festival, Mum.
PENNY: You made mooncakes?
FLOWER: Yep, with magical moon dust and a whole lot of love.
[Flower giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Penny hugs Flower.
DIRK: Aw.
[Dirk chuckles]
PENNY: These are...
[Munching]
DESCRIPTION: Penny tastes a mooncake.
PENNY: They're so... delicious! But who taught you how to make them?
POR POR: Hello, my little Penny.
DESCRIPTION: Por Por watches on the smartphone propped up against a cup on the other end of the table.
PENNY: Ah, Mama.
[Por Por speaks a foreign language, Penny chuckles, sniffles]
DESCRIPTION: Penny wipes her eye and hugs Flower.
PENNY: Well, this is the most magical Moon Festival I've ever had. Thank you.
POR POR: But next year, I fly to you early and show you how to make mooncake that is full of love, but not wonky.
[Everyone laughs]
PENNY: Oh, Mama.
[Upbeat music plays]
[Song] Come with me on my rocket ship. We're gonna get so high on this magic trip. We're gonna fly to the lady on the moon who sings to us a cozy tune. Fly, fly, fly, go high. Fly, fly, fly, go high.
