At night, the stars and full moon shine above the Moon family’s mansion. Isadora Moon, a young half-vampire, half-fairy girl with long black hair, pointy ears, pink bat wings and vampire fangs, wears a light purple cardigan over a light pink dress with black stars.
[Upbeat music plays]
A singer sings, ISADORA MOON THE ONE AND ONLY, HERE I GO. I'M TOTALLY UNIQUE AND EXTRA-STARRY.
Isadora spins and waves her star wand.
The singer sings, WAVING MY WAND, FLYING FEARLESSLY, YEAH IT'S YOUR GIRL, ISADORA.
Isadora’s fairy mom, Cordelia, and vampire dad, Bartholomew, join Isadora. Cordelia has long, wavy pink hair, pointy ears and green wings. She wears a flower crown and a green cardigan over a pink dress. Bartholomew has short black hair and wears a black and purple cape with a striped, grey suit vest.
The singer sings, A LITTLE BIT OF BOTH. HALF A VAMPIRE, HALF A FAIRY.
Isadora flies over her neighbourhood with Pink Rabbit, a pink rabbit stuffed toy come to life.
The singer sings, READY FOR A NEW EXCITING JOURNEY!
Isadora dives into the ocean. Text reads, “Written by Denise Cassar. Theme Song by Helen Park.”
The singer sings, SPARKLY AND EXTRAORDINARY.
Isadora swims underwater as a mermaid and transforms into a black cat. Text reads, “Series Director William Gordon. Showrunner Deborah Thorpe.”

[Light, cheerful music plays]
The episode title reads, “The School Trip.” At the Moon family’s mansion, the sun shines brightly.
From inside, Cordelia calls out, ISADORA!
[Cordelia humming]
In the kitchen, Cordelia stands at the counter with a lunchbox and a green apple. Isadora’s baby sister, Honey Blossom, sits in her highchair with a bowl of strawberries. Isadora bursts through the greenhouse doors into the kitchen with Pink Rabbit.
Isadora says, MUM! I'M SO EXCITED. MISS CHERRY SAID ON THE SCHOOL TRIP TO THE CASTLE TODAY, WE GET TO DO LOADS OF MEDIEVAL STUFF!
Isadora drops Pink Rabbit on a stool. Cordelia passes her a green apple.
Cordelia says, SOUNDS MAGICAL!
Honey Blossom sneezes and blows Pink Rabbit off his stool.
[Honey Blossom sneezing]
Honey Blossom teleports onto the fridge.
[Cordelia gasping]
Cordelia waves her wand and teleports Honey Blossom back into her high chair.
[Honey Blossom giggling]
Isadora smiles.
Isadora says, AND WE GET TO WEAR MEDIEVAL COSTUMES AND EVERYTHING!
Isadora drops her apple in a second lunchbox.
[Spooky organ music plays]
Bartholomew bursts into the kitchen through the greenhouse doors. His bats flutter around him.
[Bartholomew sighing]
Bartholomew says, I AM READY FOR THE SCHOOL TRIP.
Cordelia says, AND IT ONLY TOOK YOU TWO AND A HALF HOURS. IMPRESSIVE!
Cordelia flies over to Bartholomew and adds, AND YOU LOOK SO HANDSOME.
Bartholomew pulls Cordelia into his arms.
Bartholomew says, OH, I DO RATHER, DON'T I?
Bartholomew spins Cordelia around the kitchen.
[Cordelia giggling]
Bartholomew and Cordelia twirl past the counter.
[Kisses]
Bartholomew says, MUAH!
Pink Rabbit covers his eyes. Isadora cups her hands over her eyes. She smiles.
[Bartholomew and Cordelia giggling]
Bartholomew joins Isadora at the counter, and Isadora lowers her hands.
Bartholomew says, I AM SO EXCITED MISS CHERRY ASKED ME TO BE THE PARENT VOLUNTEER!
Isadora says, ME, TOO! BUT NOT TOO MUCH VAMPIRE-Y STUFF, OKAY, DAD?
Bartholomew says, OH, BUT DARLING, VAMPIRE IS ALL I KNOW HOW TO DO!
Bartholomew tosses the green apple from the first lunchbox in the air. Cordelia waves her wand and turns it into a red apple. The apple lands in the lunchbox.
Cordelia says, ENJOY THE HAUNTED CASTLE.
[Isadora gasping]
Isadora says, HAUNTED?
Bartholomew says, YES!
Isadora cheers, YES!
[Bartholomew chuckling]
Isadora and Bartholomew high-five, and sparks flicker.
[Electricity zapping]
[Gentle music plays]
By a bus outside Isadora’s school, Isadora and Bartholomew fly down to the sidewalk. Then land on either side of Miss Cherry, who wears her long red hair in a high, loose bun, cheery earrings, a cat necklace, and green overalls with a light green long-sleeved shirt. Isadora’s four classmates, J.J., Zoe, Oliver and Sashi, stand close by.
J.J. says, OH! HI ISADORA!
Oliver says, HI ISADORA!
Sashi says, ISADORA!
Zoe says, HI!
Miss Cherry says, SO GLAD YOU COULD COME TOO, MR. MOON.
Bartholomew says, I WOULDN'T HAVE MISSED IT FOR ALL THE BATS IN TRANSYLVANIA!
[Bartholomew chuckling]
[Miss Cherry giggling]
Miss Cherry asks, COULD I ASK YOU TO WEAR THIS SO THE CHILDREN CAN SEE YOU?
Miss Cherry pushes an orange high-visibility vest into Bartholomew’s hands.
Bartholomew frowns and says, AH, OF COURSE.
[Spooky organ music briefly plays]
Bartholomew spins and puts on the orange vest.
Bartholomew OH-HO-HO-HO! STYLISH, NO?
[Children giggling]
Isadora rolls her eyes and says, OH, DAD.
Isadora walks toward the bus with her friends.
On the bus, Bartholomew says, TESTING, TESTING, ONE, TWO, THREE!
Bartholomew stands at the front of the bus with a microphone. Miss Cherry sits on a seat near him, wearing an orange high-visibility vest.
[Children giggling]
Isadora sits at the back of the bus between Oliver and Sashi. Zoe and J.J. sit in the seats in front of them. Isadora frowns.
Isadora awkwardly smiles and says, THAT'S MY DAD.
Bartholomew says, NEXT STOP, THE HAUNTED CASTLE!
The bus briefly darkens, and a green light glows at Bartholomew’s feet.
[Spooky music briefly plays]
[Children gasping with fright]
Oliver says, HAUNTED? WHAT? WITH ACTUAL GHOSTS?
Oliver has short, curly black hair and wears a yellow and green sweater vest over a white, long-sleeved, collared shirt with green shorts. He carries a green satchel.
Zoe says, YES! WAILING AND MOANING LIKE THIS.
[Zoe wailing]
Zoe has long, pink-streaked brown hair pinned back with heart clips. She wears a sleeveless light purple shirt over a dark purple long-sleeved shirt, along with a pink bead star necklace, and a burgundy skirt with a moon and star. She carries a pink backpack.
Sashi interrupts and says, ACTUALLY…
[Record scratching]
Sashi says, THAT DEPENDS WHAT KIND OF GHOST IT IS. ONES WITH BIG TEETH OR LASER EYES.
Shashi wears her long black hair in a braid with an orange bow and a blue dress over an orange long-sleeved shirt. She carries a blue cross-body bag.
[J.J. gasping loudly]
J.J. asks, WHAT IF IT EATS CHILDREN?
J.J. has short, dark blond hair and glasses. He wears a turquoise T-shirt with a green collar, sleeves, breast pocket, and dark blue shorts. He has a prosthetic left leg and carries a blue backpack.
[Children shouting and wailing]
A student says, EATS CHILDREN?!
[Children screaming]
Bartholomew frowns. Miss Cherry glares at him and takes the microphone.
Miss Cherry says into the microphone, SETTLE DOWN. THE CASTLE IS NOT HAUNTED, IT'S... EDUCATIONAL!
Bartholomew groans, OH.
The class rides the bus to a large castle situated on a hill beneath a dark cloud. Lighting flashes through the cloud.
[Thunder cracking]
[Spooky music plays]
Outside the castle with a clipboard, Miss Cherry leads Bartholomew and her students toward the door. Lightning continues to flash above them.
[Thunder cracking]
Bartholomew pauses and looks up at the dark clouds.
Bartholomew smiles and says, OH YEAH, DEFINITELY HAUNTED.
Isadora smiles. Sashi, Oliver, Zoe and J.J. frown.
[J.J. gasping]
Oliver says, OH NO.
Miss Cherry says, NOT HELPFUL, MR. MOON.
The door behind Miss Cherry opens.
[Door creaking]
Miss Cherry’s eyes widen. She glances over her shoulder and purses her lips.
[Miss Cherry giggling nervously]
Miss Cherry says, COME ON IN, EVERYBODY!
Miss Cherry walks into the castle. Bartholomew, Isadora, Sashi, Oliver, Zoe and J.J. follow. Inside, candles hanging from the ceiling light a large lobby. Rope blocks off displays of suits of armour. Signs hang on a wall above a costume chest. The class continues down a red carpet past a welcome desk.
J.J. says, WHOA!
Sashi says, WOW!
Zoe says, WOW.
Oliver says, THAT'S AMAZING!
[Isadora gasping]
Isadora says, LOOK, EVERYONE! THE COSTUMES!
Isadora runs to the costume chest with her friends.
One of the children says, OH YES!
Bartholomew says, EXCELLENT IDEA, ISADORA. I LOOK MAGNIFICENT IN A CROWN.
Bartholomew walks toward the chest. Miss Cherry steps in front of him and blocks his path.
Miss Cherry says, ACTUALLY, THE COSTUMES ARE FOR THE CHILDREN, MR. MOON.
Bartholomew says, OH, OF COURSE!
[Bartholomew laughing awkwardly]
Sashi, Zoe, Isadora and Oliver hold costume hats. J.J. hangs headfirst inside the costume chest with his feet sticking out.
Miss Cherry says to her students, FEEL FREE TO EXPLORE THE CASTLE AND, UH, LET'S ALL REPORT BACK AT LUNCH!
The children cheer, YAY!
J.J. slips deeper into the chest.
[Light, spooky music plays]
Elsewhere in the castle, candles light a hallway. A portrait of a king hangs on a wall. Isadora runs down a red carpet ahead of her friends. She wears a purple cone-shaped princess hat with a light purple veil hanging from the tip.
Isadora says, FOLLOW ME!
Oliver and Sashi slowly follow Isadora down the hallway. Oliver wears a full suit of armour with a red plume on his helmet. Sashi wears a brown cap with a blue feather.
Sashi says, I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU GOT THE ARMOUR. COME ON, OLIVER, SWAP WITH ME!
Oliver says, NO WAY.
Sashi says, YOU CAN WEAR THE JESTER'S HAT INSTEAD?
Oliver says. I AM NOT WEARING A SILLY HAT WITH BELLS.
Oliver walks ahead. Isadora continues down the hallway toward two doorways.
Isadora says, OOH, LOOK! A DUNGEON!
Isadora steps into an open doorway leading to a stone spiral staircase. Oliver stands behind her. He looks down the dark stairs nervously.
Isadora says, COME ON, LET'S GO DOWN!
Oliver says, UH, IT LOOKS A BIT DARK AND SCARY.
Bartholomew reaches the end of the hallway.
Bartholomew says, OH, ISADORA, WHY DON'T YOU DO SOME FAIRY MAGIC TO LIGHT OUR WAY?
Zoe says, OH, YES! DO SOME MAGIC, ISADORA!
J.J. chants, MAGIC, MAGIC, MAGIC!
Zoe wears a green Robin Hood hat with a dark pink feather. J.J. wears a crown with jewels. Isadora frowns and lowers her gaze.
Oliver says, NEVER MIND. LET'S SKIP THE DUNGEON.
[Zoe, J.J. and Sashi groaning with disappointment]
Isadora says, MAYBE I COULD TRY SOME MAGIC.
J.J. cheers, YES!
Zoe says, AH, YES!
Oliver says, THAT WOULD BE GREAT!
Sashi says, YOU CAN DO IT!
Isadora nervously pulls out and waves her pink fairy star wand. The wand lights up, and she smiles. Oliver looks surprised.
[Zoe, J.J. and Sashi cheering]
Isadora says, I DID IT!
Oliver says, I'M STILL NOT SURE I WANT TO GO DOWN THERE.
Isadora says, VAMPIRES DON'T MIND THE DARK, AND WE CAN MOVE SUPER FAST. SO HOW ABOUT I GO DOWN THERE FIRST AND CHECK IT OUT?
Oliver looks thoughtful.
Oliver says, OKAY. THANKS, ISADORA.
Isadora flies down the dungeon staircase with her wand. Zoe, J.J., Oliver and Sashi gather at the doorway. Isadora returns and flips onto her feet.
[Gasping]
Isadora says, IT'S AWESOME!
In the dungeon, Bartholomew smiles behind the children. A light shines from above. Isadora holds her wand up high. Zoe, J.J., Oliver and Sashi look nervous.
Sashi says, YOUR AWESOME AND MY AWESOME ARE DEFINITELY DIFFERENT.
Oliver says, YEAH, IT'S CREEPY. LET'S GO.
Sashi runs up the stairs with Oliver, J.J. and Zoe. Isadora flies further into the dungeon. Bartholomew looks around the dimly lit space.
[Bartholomew gasping]
Bartholomew says, MY, MY. WHAT FABULOUS INTERIOR DESIGN! DRIPPING WALLS WOULD MAKE A PERFECT BATHROOM FEATURE!
Bartholomew follows Sashi, Oliver, J.J. and Zoe up the stairs. Isadora drops to her feet outside a door at the other end of the dungeon. She looks at a glowing blue light shining through a gap.
[Footsteps]
Oliver walks back down to the dungeon. He grips the strap of his satchel tightly and looks around.
Oliver says, ISADORA, LET'S GO!
Isadora says, OLIVER, LOOK!
Isadora points toward the glowing blue light with her wand.
Isadora asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK'S IN THERE?
Oliver says, DUNNO BUT WE DEFINITELY SHOULDN'T OPEN THE –
[Door creaking]
Isadora slowly pulls the large door open.
Oliver says, AND SHE'S OPENING IT.
Isadora and Oliver look through the now-open door.
[Gasping]
A ghostly white figure lies on the floor in front of a broken mirror. Sunlight shines on the figure through a small window.
Oliver says, EITHER THAT'S A REALLY BIG MOTH OR...
[Spooky, suspenseful music plays]
The figure rises from the floor and wails, OOOH.
The figure turns around and spreads its arms, revealing a ghost with freckles wearing a blue beret.
[Ghost wailing]
Oliver and Isadora jump back.
[Oliver screaming]
The ghost flies around the room.
[Ghost wailing]
Isadora scowls and covers her ears.
Isadora shouts, PLEASE STOP!
[Record scratching]
[Music abruptly stops]
The ghost says, OH?
The ghost looks at Isadora.
[Ghost loudly sobbing]
Isadora says, OH, DON'T CRY. I JUST WANTED TO HAVE A CHAT.
[Ghost gasping]
The ghost says, A CHAT?
The ghost smiles and says, OH, I HAVEN'T HAD ONE OF THOSE FOR 200 YEARS!
Oliver says, YOU'VE BEEN A GHOST FOR 200 YEARS?
Isadora says, WOW, YOU'RE ALMOST AS OLD AS MY DAD. I'M ISADORA, AND THIS IS MY FRIEND OLIVER.
Oliver smiles and waves.
The ghost says, OSCAR THELONIUS GRIMALDO TERPSICHORE THE THIRD. BUT YOU CAN CALL ME OSCAR.
Oscar’s smile drops, and he says, NOT THAT ANYONE CARES.
Oscar turns his back on Isadora and Oliver.
[Oscar sniffling]
Oscar says, I HAVE NO FRIENDS.
Oscar wails, EVERYONE HATES GHOSTS!
Isadora cries, OH, NO!
[Oscar sobbing]
Oliver frowns.
Isadora says, THAT'S NOT TRUE! I LIKE GHOSTS. MY FRIENDS WOULD LIKE YOU TOO. YOU SHOULD MEET THEM.
Oliver says to Isadora, NOT A GOOD IDEA.
Oscar wails, HE'S RIGHT, NO ONE WANTS TO BE MY FRIEND.
[Oscar whimpering]
Oscar wails, THEY'LL JUST RUN AWAY!
[Oscar loudly sobbing]
Isadora says, I THOUGHT MY FRIENDS WOULD RUN AWAY WHEN THEY FOUND OUT I WAS A FAIRY VAMPIRE.
Isadora glances toward Oliver, and they share a smile.
[Oscar stops sobbing]
Isadora says, BUT THEY DIDN'T!
Oscar smiles and says, OH, WHY NOT? I'LL MEET YOUR FRIENDS!
Isadora cheers, YES!
Oscar and Isadora raise their hands to give each other a high five. Isadora’s hand goes through Oscar’s, and she stumbles through him.
[Isadora giggling]
Oscar and Oliver look worried. Isadora smiles.
[Isadora giggling]
Oscar and Oliver smile. In the castle lobby, Isadora and Oliver run out a door and join Sashi, Zoe, J.J., Miss Cherry and Bartholomew.
Isadora says, THERE YOU ARE! EVERYONE, I WANT YOU TO MEET…
Isadora steps back, revealing Oscar.
Oscar floats forward and says, OOH!
Oscar spreads his arms.
[Sashi, Zoe and J.J. screaming]
[Spooky music plays]
Sashi, Zoe and J.J. run away. Miss Cherry drops her clipboard. Bartholomew smiles.
Miss Cherry says, DON’T, DON'T PANIC. EH, EVERYTHING'S FINE.
Miss Cherry faints.
[Thudding]
[Sashi, Zoe and J.J. wailing]
Oscar pulls his fists to his chest and says, SEE? I TOLD YOU. IT ALWAYS HAPPENS.
[Oscar sobbing]
Oscar flies away through the door.
Isadora says, COME ON!
Isadora grabs Oliver’s hand and they return to the dungeon. In front of the broken mirror, Oscar lies on the floor with his fists against his chest.
Oscar says, I'M NEVER LEAVING HERE AGAIN!
Oliver says, FAIR ENOUGH. LET'S GO THEN.
In the doorway behind Oliver, Bartholomew frowns.
Isadora says, NO! WE CAN'T GIVE UP AND LEAVE OSCAR SO SAD! WE NEED A DIFFERENT WAY TO INTRODUCE YOU TO EVERYONE SO THAT THEY DON'T FEEL SCARED.
Oscar says, BUT WHAT THOUGH?
Isadora says, IF ONLY WE HAD A COSTUME THAT COVERED YOU, NO ONE WOULD KNOW YOU'RE A GHOST. THEN THEY COULD PROPERLY GET TO KNOW YOU!
Oliver says, YEAH. BUT WHERE WILL WE FIND A COSTUME LIKE THAT?
Isadora and Bartholomew smile at Oliver in his suit of armour. Oliver looks back and forth between them.
[Oliver gulping]
Sighing, Oliver says, OKAY.
Isadora cheers, YES!
Isadora hugs Oliver.
[Isadora giggling]
Oscar says, OH, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Bartholomew says, OH, YOU HAVE SUCH KIND FRIENDS, ISADORA.
[Bartholomew briefly chuckling]
Bartholomew asks, SO, OLIVER, WHAT, WHAT COSTUME WILL YOU WEAR NOW, HM?
Oliver frowns. Outside the castle, he wears a pink and purple jester’s hat with bells.
[Jester hat bells jingling]
From close by, Sashi asks, WHO'S YOUR NEW FRIEND, AND WHY IS HE WEARING YOUR ARMOUR?
Sashi sits at a picnic table between Zoe and Oliver with J.J., Isadora and Oscar, who is wearing the suit of armour. The classmates eat their packed lunches.
Oliver says, UH, I DECIDED I LIKED THE JESTER'S HAT MORE.
Oliver hits one of the bells on his hat and awkwardly smiles. Sashi narrows her eyes.
[Jester hat bells jingling]
Isadora says, THIS IS OSCAR, WE MET HIM... HERE. DIDN'T WE, OLIVER?
Oliver says, YEAH, IN THE DUN –
[Isadora gasping]
Oliver glances at Isadora and says, …UH, CASTLE.
[Oliver giggling awkwardly]
Miss Cherry walks over to the table with her clipboard.
Miss Cherry says, SO, CHILDREN, AFTER LUNCH, HOW ABOUT WE TRY SOME MEDIEVAL FUN STUFF?
J.J. stands on the picnic bench and says, YES! I LOVE MEDIEVAL FUN STUFF!
J.J. frowns and asks, WHAT'S MEDIEVAL FUN STUFF?
Oscar says, OH, OH, I KNOW! I CAN SHOW YOU EVERYTHING!
J.J. grins.
Oliver cheers, HOORAY!
Sashi cheers, WHOO-HOO!
Zoe cheers, YES!
[Light, cheerful music plays]
Later, outside the castle, Oscar says, MEDIEVAL BOWS AND ARROWS.
J.J. and Zoe aim suction cup arrows at a target. As they fire their arrows from bows, they close their eyes. The arrows soar toward the sky. Oscar flies up, grabs the arrows, and sticks them on the target. Isadora flies over to Oscar and pushes him onto his suit of armour feet. J.J. and Zoe open their eyes.
Zoe cheers, YES!
J.J. pumps his fist and cheers, YEAH!
[Zoe giggling]
Oscar says, MEDIEVAL STOCKS NEXT!
In a medieval stock, Bartholomew frowns and adjusts a face shield. From a short distance away, Isadora throws a water-soaked sponge at him, and it hits the shield.
[J.J., Zoe, Oliver and Sashi gasping]
[Bartholomew yelping]
[Bartholomew chuckling]
Bartholomew says, GOOD SHOT. CAN ANYONE ELSE MATCH IT?
Three more water-soaked sponges hit the stocks and splash Bartholomew’s hands. A fourth sponge hits the shield.
Bartholomew grunts, AH!
Elsewhere outside the castle, Oscar says, OH! MEDIEVAL MUSIC!
Sashi plays a lyre, J.J. plays a lute, Oliver plays a recorder, and Zoe plays a drum.
[Off-key lyre, lute, recorder and drum music plays]
[Elegant harpsichord music plays]
Sashi, J.J., Oliver and Zoe stop playing their instruments and turn toward Oscar, who expertly plays a harpsichord. Isadora leans against the piano-like instrument.
[Oscar and Isadora giggling]
In the castle lobby, Sashi, Zoe, J.J., Isadora and Oliver stand with Bartholomew and Miss Cherry without their costume hats. Oscar stands between Isadora and Oliver in the suit of armour.
Miss Cherry says, WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY WE'VE HAD. BUT IT'S TIME TO GO HOME.
Miss Cherry glances toward Oscar and says, UH, WHO IS STILL IN THE SUIT OF ARMOUR?
Isadora, Oscar and Oliver exchange a worried look.
Miss Cherry says, OH DEAR, HAVE WE COLLECTED AN EXTRA CHILD?
Oscar looks sad.
Isadora says, MISS CHERRY, THIS IS OSCAR, HE'S OUR FRIEND, AND THERE'S SOMETHING SPECIAL ABOUT HIM. PROMISE NOT TO SCREAM OR RUN AWAY?
J.J. says, OF COURSE WE WON'T RUN AWAY!
Sashi says, YEAH! WE LOVE OSCAR!
Zoe nods.
Isadora asks, READY?
Oscar slips out of the armour and cheers, WHOO!
Someone says, OH WOW!
Sashi says, HE LOOKS LIKE A REAL GHOST!
Oscar flies around the lobby and floats down to his spot between Isadora and Oliver.
Oliver says, HE IS A REAL GHOST.
Isadora says, AND HE'S OUR FRIEND.
Zoe walks over to Oscar and says, OSCAR, I'M REALLY SORRY I RAN AWAY WHEN I SAW YOU.
J.J. and Sashi join the others.
Sashi says, ME, TOO. YOU'RE SO NICE!
Oscar says, AH, THANKS!
Miss Cherry says, WELL, OSCAR, IT'S VERY NICE TO MEET YOU WITHOUT ALL THE SCREAMING. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHOWING US AROUND.
Oscar says, THIS REALLY HAS BEEN THE BEST DAY IN 200 YEARS!
[Bartholomew choking up with emotion]
Bartholomew’s eyes fill with tears.
Bartholomew says, I, I JUST HAVE SOMETHING IN MY EYE, IS ALL.

Someone says, BUT WE JUST MET HIM!

Oscar looks disappointed.
Isadora says, AW! DAD, COULD OSCAR COME AND LIVE WITH US? PLEASE?
Oscar flies up to Bartholomew and says, YOU WON'T BE SORRY! I DON'T EAT MUCH AND I AM A VERY GOOD FIRE ALARM.
Bartholomew says, OF COURSE, OF COURSE YOU CAN!
[Bartholomew chuckling]
Bartholomew says, WE HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH ROOM. AND WE ARE A VERY GHOST-FRIENDLY FAMILY.
[J.J., Zoe, Oliver and Sashi cheering]
Isadora jumps up to Bartholomew and hugs him tightly.
Isadora says, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, DAD. THANK YOU.

On the bus, someone says, THAT WAS AMAZING!

In the kitchen, Cordelia stands at the counter with a lunchbox and a green apple. Isadora’s baby sister, Honey Blossom, sits in her highchair with a bowl of strawberries. Isadora bursts through the greenhouse doors into the kitchen with Pink Rabbit.
Isadora says, MUM! I'M SO EXCITED. MISS CHERRY SAID ON THE SCHOOL TRIP TO THE CASTLE TODAY, WE GET TO DO LOADS OF MEDIEVAL STUFF!
Isadora drops Pink Rabbit on a stool. Cordelia passes her a green apple.
Cordelia says, SOUNDS MAGICAL!
Honey Blossom sneezes and blows Pink Rabbit off his stool.

Honey Blossom teleports onto the fridge.
[Cordelia gasping]

Bartholomew bursts into the kitchen through the greenhouse doors. His bats flutter around him.

Bartholomew says, I AM READY FOR THE SCHOOL TRIP.
Cordelia says, AND IT ONLY TOOK YOU TWO AND A HALF HOURS. IMPRESSIVE!
Cordelia flies over to Bartholomew and adds, AND YOU LOOK SO HANDSOME.
Bartholomew pulls Cordelia into his arms.
Bartholomew says, OH, I DO RATHER, DON'T I?
Bartholomew spins Cordelia around the kitchen.

Bartholomew and Cordelia twirl past the counter.

Pink Rabbit covers his eyes. Isadora cups her hands over her eyes. She smiles.

Bartholomew tosses the green apple from the first lunchbox in the air. Cordelia waves her wand and turns it into a red apple. The apple lands in the lunchbox.
Cordelia says, ENJOY THE HAUNTED CASTLE.
[Isadora gasping]
Isadora says, HAUNTED?
Bartholomew says, YES!
Isadora cheers, YES!
[Bartholomew chuckling]
Isadora and Bartholomew high-five, and sparks flicker.
[Electricity zapping]
[Gentle music plays]
By a bus outside Isadora’s school, Isadora and Bartholomew fly down to the sidewalk. Then land on either side of Miss Cherry, who wears her long red hair in a high, loose bun, cheery earrings, a cat necklace, and green overalls with a light green long-sleeved shirt. Isadora’s four classmates, J.J., Zoe, Oliver and Sashi, stand close by.
J.J. says, OH! HI ISADORA!
Oliver says, HI ISADORA!
Sashi says, ISADORA!
Zoe says, HI!
Miss Cherry says, SO GLAD YOU COULD COME TOO, MR. MOON.
Bartholomew says, I WOULDN'T HAVE MISSED IT FOR ALL THE BATS IN TRANSYLVANIA!
[Bartholomew chuckling]
[Miss Cherry giggling]
Miss Cherry asks, COULD I ASK YOU TO WEAR THIS SO THE CHILDREN CAN SEE YOU?
Miss Cherry pushes an orange high-visibility vest into Bartholomew’s hands.

Bartholomew spins and puts on the orange vest.

Isadora rolls her eyes and says, OH, DAD.
Isadora walks toward the bus with her friends.
On the bus, Bartholomew says, TESTING, TESTING, ONE, TWO, THREE!
Bartholomew stands at the front of the bus with a microphone. Miss Cherry sits on a seat near him, wearing an orange high-visibility vest.
[Children giggling]
Isadora sits at the back of the bus between Oliver and Sashi. Zoe and J.J. sit in the seats in front of them. Isadora frowns.
Isadora awkwardly smiles and says, THAT'S MY DAD.
Bartholomew says, NEXT STOP, THE HAUNTED CASTLE!
The bus briefly darkens, and a green light glows at Bartholomew’s feet.
[Spooky music briefly plays]
[Children gasping with fright]
Oliver says, HAUNTED? WHAT? WITH ACTUAL GHOSTS?
Oliver has short, curly black hair and wears a yellow and green sweater vest over a white, long-sleeved, collared shirt with green shorts. He carries a green satchel.
Zoe says, YES! WAILING AND MOANING LIKE THIS.
[Zoe wailing]
Zoe has long, pink-streaked brown hair pinned back with heart clips. She wears a sleeveless light purple shirt over a dark purple long-sleeved shirt, along with a pink bead star necklace, and a burgundy skirt with a moon and star. She carries a pink backpack.
Sashi interrupts and says, ACTUALLY…
[Record scratching]
Sashi says, THAT DEPENDS WHAT KIND OF GHOST IT IS. ONES WITH BIG TEETH OR LASER EYES.
Shashi wears her long black hair in a braid with an orange bow and a blue dress over an orange long-sleeved shirt. She carries a blue cross-body bag.
[J.J. gasping loudly]
J.J. asks, WHAT IF IT EATS CHILDREN?
J.J. has short, dark blond hair and glasses. He wears a turquoise T-shirt with a green collar, sleeves, breast pocket, and dark blue shorts. He has a prosthetic left leg and carries a blue backpack.
[Children shouting and wailing]
A student says, EATS CHILDREN?!
[Children screaming]
Bartholomew frowns. Miss Cherry glares at him and takes the microphone.
Miss Cherry says into the microphone, SETTLE DOWN. THE CASTLE IS NOT HAUNTED, IT'S... EDUCATIONAL!
Bartholomew groans, OH.
The class rides the bus to a large castle situated on a hill beneath a dark cloud. Lighting flashes through the cloud.
[Thunder cracking]
[Spooky music plays]
Outside the castle with a clipboard, Miss Cherry leads Bartholomew and her students toward the door. Lightning continues to flash above them.
[Thunder cracking]
Bartholomew pauses and looks up at the dark clouds.
Bartholomew smiles and says, OH YEAH, DEFINITELY HAUNTED.
Isadora smiles. Sashi, Oliver, Zoe and J.J. frown.
[J.J. gasping]
Oliver says, OH NO.
Miss Cherry says, NOT HELPFUL, MR. MOON.
The door behind Miss Cherry opens.
[Door creaking]
Miss Cherry’s eyes widen. She glances over her shoulder and purses her lips.
[Miss Cherry giggling nervously]
Miss Cherry says, COME ON IN, EVERYBODY!
Miss Cherry walks into the castle. Bartholomew, Isadora, Sashi, Oliver, Zoe and J.J. follow. Inside, candles hanging from the ceiling light a large lobby. Rope blocks off displays of suits of armour. Signs hang on a wall above a costume chest. The class continues down a red carpet past a welcome desk.
J.J. says, WHOA!
Sashi says, WOW!
Zoe says, WOW.
Oliver says, THAT'S AMAZING!
[Isadora gasping]
Isadora says, LOOK, EVERYONE! THE COSTUMES!
Isadora runs to the costume chest with her friends.
One of the children says, OH YES!
Bartholomew says, EXCELLENT IDEA, ISADORA. I LOOK MAGNIFICENT IN A CROWN.
Bartholomew walks toward the chest. Miss Cherry steps in front of him and blocks his path.
Miss Cherry says, ACTUALLY, THE COSTUMES ARE FOR THE CHILDREN, MR. MOON.
Bartholomew says, OH, OF COURSE!
[Bartholomew laughing awkwardly]
Sashi, Zoe, Isadora and Oliver hold costume hats. J.J. hangs headfirst inside the costume chest with his feet sticking out.
Miss Cherry says to her students, FEEL FREE TO EXPLORE THE CASTLE AND, UH, LET'S ALL REPORT BACK AT LUNCH!
The children cheer, YAY!
J.J. slips deeper into the chest.
[Light, spooky music plays]
Elsewhere in the castle, candles light a hallway. A portrait of a king hangs on a wall. Isadora runs down a red carpet ahead of her friends. She wears a purple cone-shaped princess hat with a light purple veil hanging from the tip.
Isadora says, FOLLOW ME!
Oliver and Sashi slowly follow Isadora down the hallway. Oliver wears a full suit of armour with a red plume on his helmet. Sashi wears a brown cap with a blue feather.
Sashi says, I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU GOT THE ARMOUR. COME ON, OLIVER, SWAP WITH ME!
Oliver says, NO WAY.
Sashi says, YOU CAN WEAR THE JESTER'S HAT INSTEAD?
Oliver says. I AM NOT WEARING A SILLY HAT WITH BELLS.
Oliver walks ahead. Isadora continues down the hallway toward two doorways.
Isadora says, OOH, LOOK! A DUNGEON!
Isadora steps into an open doorway leading to a stone spiral staircase. Oliver stands behind her. He looks down the dark stairs nervously.
Isadora says, COME ON, LET'S GO DOWN!
Oliver says, UH, IT LOOKS A BIT DARK AND SCARY.
Bartholomew reaches the end of the hallway.
Bartholomew says, OH, ISADORA, WHY DON'T YOU DO SOME FAIRY MAGIC TO LIGHT OUR WAY?
Zoe says, OH, YES! DO SOME MAGIC, ISADORA!
J.J. chants, MAGIC, MAGIC, MAGIC!
Zoe wears a green Robin Hood hat with a dark pink feather. J.J. wears a crown with jewels. Isadora frowns and lowers her gaze.
Oliver says, NEVER MIND. LET'S SKIP THE DUNGEON.
[Zoe, J.J. and Sashi groaning with disappointment]
Isadora says, MAYBE I COULD TRY SOME MAGIC.
J.J. cheers, YES!
Zoe says, AH, YES!
Oliver says, THAT WOULD BE GREAT!
Sashi says, YOU CAN DO IT!
Isadora nervously pulls out and waves her pink fairy star wand. The wand lights up, and she smiles. Oliver looks surprised.
[Zoe, J.J. and Sashi cheering]
Isadora says, I DID IT!
Oliver says, I'M STILL NOT SURE I WANT TO GO DOWN THERE.
Isadora says, VAMPIRES DON'T MIND THE DARK, AND WE CAN MOVE SUPER FAST. SO HOW ABOUT I GO DOWN THERE FIRST AND CHECK IT OUT?
Oliver looks thoughtful.
Oliver says, OKAY. THANKS, ISADORA.
Isadora flies down the dungeon staircase with her wand. Zoe, J.J., Oliver and Sashi gather at the doorway. Isadora returns and flips onto her feet.
[Gasping]
Isadora says, IT'S AWESOME!
In the dungeon, Bartholomew smiles behind the children. A light shines from above. Isadora holds her wand up high. Zoe, J.J., Oliver and Sashi look nervous.
Sashi says, YOUR AWESOME AND MY AWESOME ARE DEFINITELY DIFFERENT.
Oliver says, YEAH, IT'S CREEPY. LET'S GO.
Sashi runs up the stairs with Oliver, J.J. and Zoe. Isadora flies further into the dungeon. Bartholomew looks around the dimly lit space.
[Bartholomew gasping]
Bartholomew says, MY, MY. WHAT FABULOUS INTERIOR DESIGN! DRIPPING WALLS WOULD MAKE A PERFECT BATHROOM FEATURE!
Bartholomew follows Sashi, Oliver, J.J. and Zoe up the stairs. Isadora drops to her feet outside a door at the other end of the dungeon. She looks at a glowing blue light shining through a gap.
[Footsteps]
Oliver walks back down to the dungeon. He grips the strap of his satchel tightly and looks around.
Oliver says, ISADORA, LET'S GO!
Isadora says, OLIVER, LOOK!
Isadora points toward the glowing blue light with her wand.
Isadora asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK'S IN THERE?
Oliver says, DUNNO BUT WE DEFINITELY SHOULDN'T OPEN THE –
[Door creaking]
Isadora slowly pulls the large door open.
Oliver says, AND SHE'S OPENING IT.
Isadora and Oliver look through the now-open door.
[Gasping]
A ghostly white figure lies on the floor in front of a broken mirror. Sunlight shines on the figure through a small window.
Oliver says, EITHER THAT'S A REALLY BIG MOTH OR...
[Spooky, suspenseful music plays]
The figure rises from the floor and wails, OOOH.
The figure turns around and spreads its arms, revealing a ghost with freckles wearing a blue beret.
[Ghost wailing]
Oliver and Isadora jump back.
[Oliver screaming]
The ghost flies around the room.
[Ghost wailing]
Isadora scowls and covers her ears.
Isadora shouts, PLEASE STOP!
[Record scratching]
[Music abruptly stops]
The ghost says, OH?
The ghost looks at Isadora.
[Ghost loudly sobbing]
Isadora says, OH, DON'T CRY. I JUST WANTED TO HAVE A CHAT.
[Ghost gasping]
The ghost says, A CHAT?
The ghost smiles and says, OH, I HAVEN'T HAD ONE OF THOSE FOR 200 YEARS!
Oliver says, YOU'VE BEEN A GHOST FOR 200 YEARS?
Isadora says, WOW, YOU'RE ALMOST AS OLD AS MY DAD. I'M ISADORA, AND THIS IS MY FRIEND OLIVER.
Oliver smiles and waves.
The ghost says, OSCAR THELONIUS GRIMALDO TERPSICHORE THE THIRD. BUT YOU CAN CALL ME OSCAR.
Oscar’s smile drops, and he says, NOT THAT ANYONE CARES.
Oscar turns his back on Isadora and Oliver.
[Oscar sniffling]
Oscar says, I HAVE NO FRIENDS.
Oscar wails, EVERYONE HATES GHOSTS!
Isadora cries, OH, NO!
[Oscar sobbing]
Oliver frowns.
Isadora says, THAT'S NOT TRUE! I LIKE GHOSTS. MY FRIENDS WOULD LIKE YOU TOO. YOU SHOULD MEET THEM.
Oliver says to Isadora, NOT A GOOD IDEA.
Oscar wails, HE'S RIGHT, NO ONE WANTS TO BE MY FRIEND.
[Oscar whimpering]
Oscar wails, THEY'LL JUST RUN AWAY!
[Oscar loudly sobbing]
Isadora says, I THOUGHT MY FRIENDS WOULD RUN AWAY WHEN THEY FOUND OUT I WAS A FAIRY VAMPIRE.
Isadora glances toward Oliver, and they share a smile.
[Oscar stops sobbing]
Isadora says, BUT THEY DIDN'T!
Oscar smiles and says, OH, WHY NOT? I'LL MEET YOUR FRIENDS!
Isadora cheers, YES!
Oscar and Isadora raise their hands to give each other a high five. Isadora’s hand goes through Oscar’s, and she stumbles through him.
[Isadora giggling]
Oscar and Oliver look worried. Isadora smiles.
[Isadora giggling]
Oscar and Oliver smile. In the castle lobby, Isadora and Oliver run out a door and join Sashi, Zoe, J.J., Miss Cherry and Bartholomew.
Isadora says, THERE YOU ARE! EVERYONE, I WANT YOU TO MEET…
Isadora steps back, revealing Oscar.
Oscar floats forward and says, OOH!
Oscar spreads his arms.
[Sashi, Zoe and J.J. screaming]
[Spooky music plays]
Sashi, Zoe and J.J. run away. Miss Cherry drops her clipboard. Bartholomew smiles.
Miss Cherry says, DON’T, DON'T PANIC. EH, EVERYTHING'S FINE.
Miss Cherry faints.
[Thudding]
[Sashi, Zoe and J.J. wailing]
Oscar pulls his fists to his chest and says, SEE? I TOLD YOU. IT ALWAYS HAPPENS.
[Oscar sobbing]
Oscar flies away through the door.
Isadora says, COME ON!
Isadora grabs Oliver’s hand and they return to the dungeon. In front of the broken mirror, Oscar lies on the floor with his fists against his chest.
Oscar says, I'M NEVER LEAVING HERE AGAIN!
Oliver says, FAIR ENOUGH. LET'S GO THEN.
In the doorway behind Oliver, Bartholomew frowns.
Isadora says, NO! WE CAN'T GIVE UP AND LEAVE OSCAR SO SAD! WE NEED A DIFFERENT WAY TO INTRODUCE YOU TO EVERYONE SO THAT THEY DON'T FEEL SCARED.
Oscar says, BUT WHAT THOUGH?
Isadora says, IF ONLY WE HAD A COSTUME THAT COVERED YOU, NO ONE WOULD KNOW YOU'RE A GHOST. THEN THEY COULD PROPERLY GET TO KNOW YOU!
Oliver says, YEAH. BUT WHERE WILL WE FIND A COSTUME LIKE THAT?
Isadora and Bartholomew smile at Oliver in his suit of armour. Oliver looks back and forth between them.
[Oliver gulping]
Sighing, Oliver says, OKAY.
Isadora cheers, YES!
Isadora hugs Oliver.
[Isadora giggling]
Oscar says, OH, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Bartholomew says, OH, YOU HAVE SUCH KIND FRIENDS, ISADORA.
[Bartholomew briefly chuckling]
Bartholomew asks, SO, OLIVER, WHAT, WHAT COSTUME WILL YOU WEAR NOW, HM?
Oliver frowns. Outside the castle, he wears a pink and purple jester’s hat with bells.
[Jester hat bells jingling]
From close by, Sashi asks, WHO'S YOUR NEW FRIEND, AND WHY IS HE WEARING YOUR ARMOUR?
Sashi sits at a picnic table between Zoe and Oliver with J.J., Isadora and Oscar, who is wearing the suit of armour. The classmates eat their packed lunches.
Oliver says, UH, I DECIDED I LIKED THE JESTER'S HAT MORE.
Oliver hits one of the bells on his hat and awkwardly smiles. Sashi narrows her eyes.
[Jester hat bells jingling]
Isadora says, THIS IS OSCAR, WE MET HIM... HERE. DIDN'T WE, OLIVER?
Oliver says, YEAH, IN THE DUN –
[Isadora gasping]
Oliver glances at Isadora and says, …UH, CASTLE.
[Oliver giggling awkwardly]
Miss Cherry walks over to the table with her clipboard.
Miss Cherry says, SO, CHILDREN, AFTER LUNCH, HOW ABOUT WE TRY SOME MEDIEVAL FUN STUFF?
J.J. stands on the picnic bench and says, YES! I LOVE MEDIEVAL FUN STUFF!
J.J. frowns and asks, WHAT'S MEDIEVAL FUN STUFF?
Oscar says, OH, OH, I KNOW! I CAN SHOW YOU EVERYTHING!
J.J. grins.
Oliver cheers, HOORAY!
Sashi cheers, WHOO-HOO!
Zoe cheers, YES!
[Light, cheerful music plays]
Later, outside the castle, Oscar says, MEDIEVAL BOWS AND ARROWS.
J.J. and Zoe aim suction cup arrows at a target. As they fire their arrows from bows, they close their eyes. The arrows soar toward the sky. Oscar flies up, grabs the arrows, and sticks them on the target. Isadora flies over to Oscar and pushes him onto his suit of armour feet. J.J. and Zoe open their eyes.
Zoe cheers, YES!
J.J. pumps his fist and cheers, YEAH!
[Zoe giggling]
Oscar says, MEDIEVAL STOCKS NEXT!
In a medieval stock, Bartholomew frowns and adjusts a face shield. From a short distance away, Isadora throws a water-soaked sponge at him, and it hits the shield.

Bartholomew says, GOOD SHOT. CAN ANYONE ELSE MATCH IT?
Three more water-soaked sponges hit the stocks and splash Bartholomew’s hands. A fourth sponge hits the shield.
Bartholomew grunts, AH!
Elsewhere outside the castle, Oscar says, OH! MEDIEVAL MUSIC!
Sashi plays a lyre, J.J. plays a lute, Oliver plays a recorder, and Zoe plays a drum.
[Off-key lyre, lute, recorder and drum music plays]
[Elegant harpsichord music plays]
Sashi, J.J., Oliver and Zoe stop playing their instruments and turn toward Oscar, who expertly plays a harpsichord. Isadora leans against the piano-like instrument.
[Oscar and Isadora giggling]
In the castle lobby, Sashi, Zoe, J.J., Isadora and Oliver stand with Bartholomew and Miss Cherry without their costume hats. Oscar stands between Isadora and Oliver in the suit of armour.
Miss Cherry says, WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY WE'VE HAD. BUT IT'S TIME TO GO HOME.
Miss Cherry glances toward Oscar and says, UH, WHO IS STILL IN THE SUIT OF ARMOUR?
Isadora, Oscar and Oliver exchange a worried look.
Miss Cherry says, OH DEAR, HAVE WE COLLECTED AN EXTRA CHILD?
Oscar looks sad.
Isadora says, MISS CHERRY, THIS IS OSCAR, HE'S OUR FRIEND, AND THERE'S SOMETHING SPECIAL ABOUT HIM. PROMISE NOT TO SCREAM OR RUN AWAY?
J.J. says, OF COURSE WE WON'T RUN AWAY!
Sashi says, YEAH! WE LOVE OSCAR!
Zoe nods.
Isadora asks, READY?
Oscar slips out of the armour and cheers, WHOO!
Someone says, OH WOW!
Sashi says, HE LOOKS LIKE A REAL GHOST!
Oscar flies around the lobby and floats down to his spot between Isadora and Oliver.
Oliver says, HE IS A REAL GHOST.
Isadora says, AND HE'S OUR FRIEND.
Zoe walks over to Oscar and says, OSCAR, I'M REALLY SORRY I RAN AWAY WHEN I SAW YOU.
J.J. and Sashi join the others.
Sashi says, ME, TOO. YOU'RE SO NICE!
Oscar says, AH, THANKS!
Miss Cherry says, WELL, OSCAR, IT'S VERY NICE TO MEET YOU WITHOUT ALL THE SCREAMING. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHOWING US AROUND.
Oscar says, THIS REALLY HAS BEEN THE BEST DAY IN 200 YEARS!
[Bartholomew choking up with emotion]
Bartholomew’s eyes fill with tears.
Bartholomew says, I, I JUST HAVE SOMETHING IN MY EYE, IS ALL.
Bartholomew wipes away a tear.
Miss Cherry says, CHILDREN, COACH IS WAITING, SO I'M AFRAID WE'LL HAVE TO SAY GOODBYE TO OSCAR.
Isadora frowns.
[J.J., Zoe, Oliver and Sashi protesting over each other]
J.J. says, WHAT?
Someone says, BUT WE JUST MET HIM!
Oliver says, NO!
Oscar looks disappointed.
Isadora says, AW! DAD, COULD OSCAR COME AND LIVE WITH US? PLEASE?
Oscar flies up to Bartholomew and says, YOU WON'T BE SORRY! I DON'T EAT MUCH AND I AM A VERY GOOD FIRE ALARM.
Bartholomew says, OF COURSE, OF COURSE YOU CAN!
[Bartholomew chuckling]
Bartholomew says, WE HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH ROOM. AND WE ARE A VERY GHOST-FRIENDLY FAMILY.
[J.J., Zoe, Oliver and Sashi cheering]
Isadora jumps up to Bartholomew and hugs him tightly.
Isadora says, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, DAD. THANK YOU.
Bartholomew says, OKAY, OKAY. MIND THE HAIR.
[Bartholomew and Isadora laughing]
On the bus, someone says, THAT WAS AMAZING!
[Giggling]
Oliver says, I LOVED IT!
Isadora waves from her seat in the back next to Oscar.
Isadora says, DAD, COME AND SIT WITH US!
At the front of the bus, Bartholomew calls back, THANKS, ISADORA!
Bartholomew glances at Miss Cherry and says, MISS CHERRY, I THINK I WILL FLY HOME, IT'S MORE FUN.
[Bartholomew briefly chuckling]
Bartholomew asks, ISADORA, YOU SURE YOU WON'T COME?
Isadora says, I'M SURE, DAD. SEE YOU LATER! HAPPY FLYING!
[Spooky organ music plays]
Bartholomew throws open his cape, and bats fly out.
[Bats squeaking]
Bartholomew flies away from the castle.
From inside the bus, Oliver says, OSCAR, SIT NEAR ME!
Sashi says, NO, PLEASE SIT NEXT TO ME, OSCAR!
Bartholomew follows the bus through the countryside.
Zoe says, MISS CHERRY, J.J. JUST PUT HIS HAND THROUGH OSCAR.
[Upbeat music plays]
