At night, the stars and full moon shine above the Moon family’s mansion. Isadora Moon, a young half-vampire, half-fairy girl with long black hair, pointy ears, pink bat wings and vampire fangs, wears a light purple cardigan over a light pink dress with black stars.
[Upbeat music plays]
A singer sings, ISADORA MOON THE ONE AND ONLY, HERE I GO. I'M TOTALLY UNIQUE AND EXTRA-STARRY.
Isadora spins and waves her star wand.
The singer sings, WAVING MY WAND, FLYING FEARLESSLY, YEAH IT'S YOUR GIRL, ISADORA.
Isadora’s fairy mom, Cordelia, and vampire dad, Bartholomew, join Isadora. Cordelia has long, wavy pink hair, pointy ears and green wings. She wears a flower crown and a green cardigan over a pink dress. Bartholomew has short black hair and wears a black and purple cape with a striped, grey suit vest.
The singer sings, A LITTLE BIT OF BOTH. HALF A VAMPIRE, HALF A FAIRY.
Isadora flies over her neighbourhood with Pink Rabbit, a pink rabbit stuffed toy come to life.
The singer sings, READY FOR A NEW EXCITING JOURNEY!

The singer sings, SPARKLY AND EXTRAORDINARY.

[Light, cheerful music plays]
The episode title reads, “The Shooting Star.” At school, Miss Cherry stands in front of her desk facing her students. Isadora sits in the front row beside Zoe. Sashi sits behind them.
Miss Cherry says, I HAVE ASTRONOMICALLY EXCITING NEWS. IT'S SPACE WEEK!
Zoe says, I'D LOVE TO MEET AN AWESOME ALIEN FROM OUTER SPACE.
Isadora says, ME TOO. THAT'D BE OUT OF THIS WORLD!
[Zoe, Isadora and Sashi giggling]
Miss Cherry says, YOUR HOMEWORK THIS EVENING IS STARGAZING!
At the table beside Isadora and Zoe, Oliver and J.J. sit beside each other.
J.J. says, SO, BASICALLY, HOMEWORK IS "STAY UP WAY AFTER BEDTIME."
[Laughing]
Oliver and J.J. high-five.
[Cheering]
Miss Cherry says, ALSO, I'D LIKE YOU TO MAKE OR FIND SOMETHING OUTER SPACEY TO SHOW THE CLASS LATER IN THE WEEK.
Sashi says, I WANT TO MAKE A ROCKET FROM RECYCLING STUFF. WHAT'S YOUR SPACE PROJECT GOING TO BE, ISADORA?
Isadora says, UM, I DON'T KNOW.
[Bell ringing]
Isadora says, I'LL ASK MY DAD TO HELP! VAMPIRES ARE REALLY INTO NIGHTTIME STUFF.
Isadora, Sashi and Zoe grab their books and stand. J.J. and Oliver walk by them. At night, the full moon shines bright through clouds in the sky.
At the Moon’s mansion, Bartholomew says, BEHOLD... THE MOON!
Bartholomew and Isadora look out a window through telescopes.
Bartholomew says, SO GLORIOUS AND WONDEROUS THAT THEY NAMED IT AFTER MY FAMILY!
[Bartholomew laughing]
Isadora looks at the moon through her telescope.
Bartholomew says, YES.
Isadora looks at a constellation through her telescope.
Bartholomew says, SEE, THAT PATTERN OF STARS IS CALLED THE PLOW. THOSE THREE STARS MAKE ORION'S BELT. ALTHOUGH, NO SIGN OF ORION'S TROUSERS.
[Bartholomew laughing]
Bartholomew looks through his telescope. A glowing yellow light flashes past Orion’s Belt.
Bartholomew says, OOH! WHAT WAS THAT?
Isadora asks, IS IT A SHOOTING STAR?
Bartholomew says, I THINK SO!
[Bartholomew gasping]
Bartholomew says, THERE'S ANOTHER ONE!
A glowing blue light flashes through the night sky.
Isadora says, IT'S GOING TO LAND IN THE PARK! DAD, CAN WE GO AND LOOK FOR IT? IT CAN BE MY SPACE PROJECT.
Bartholomew says, YOU KNOW ME. NEVER SAY NO TO A NIGHT FLIGHT!
Bartholomew and Isadora fly out the window and over the town to the park. They hover a pulsing ball of blue light in a bush.
Isadora says, THERE IT IS.
The ball of light moves away from the bush.
Isadora says, HUH? IS THE SHOOTING STAR MOVING AROUND?
Bartholomew says, YES, IT IS!
Bartholomew and Isadora land near a trail. The blue ball of light passes by them.
[Groaning]
Isadora and Bartholomew frown.
Isadora says, MAYBE IT'S AN ALIEN.
Isadora and Bartholomew sneak after the ball of light.
Someone groans, OH! UGH!
Isadora and Bartholomew pause near a bush.
Isadora says, UH-OH. WHAT IF IT'S A BAD-TEMPERED SCARY-ALIEN-SPACE-BEAST?
Bartholomew says, FEAR NOT! MY FINELY TUNED, AND EXQUISITELY-SHAPED VAMPIRE EARS TELL ME IT SOUNDS WORRIED, NOT CROSS.
The someone groans, OH!
[Sighing]
Isadora says, YOU'RE RIGHT. I THINK WHOEVER IT IS NEEDS HELP. COME ON, DAD!
Isadora and Bartholomew continue across the park toward the blue ball of light. A creature with glowing blue and white hair and star antennae steps out from behind a tree. The creature wears yellow overalls over a blue and yellow striped, long-sleeved shirt.
The glowing-haired creature says, GANYMEDE? OH, WHERE ARE YOU?
The glowing-haired creature turns toward Isadora and Bartholomew and jumps in surprise.
[Glowing-haired creature yelping]
The glowing-haired creature says, HUMANS!
Bartholomew yelps, AH! MY HAIR!
The glowing-haired creature flips into a bush.
[Rustling]
The glowing-haired creature pops up and says, GO AWAY. LEAVE ME ALONE! I DO NOT LIKE HUMANS!
Isadora says, WELL, WE'RE NOT HUMANS. JUST A NICE, ORDINARY, VAMPIRE AND VAMPIRE-FAIRY.
Isadora walks over to the glowing-haired creature with Bartholomew.
Isadora says, I'M ISADORA MOON, AND THIS IS MY DAD.
The glowing-haired creature says, I'M NOVA. I'M A GLOW SPRITE FROM PLANET AURELIA.
Nova steps out of the bush.
Nova says, I REALLY WANT TO GET BACK HOME, BUT I HAVE TO FIND GANYMEDE FIRST.
Isadora says, WE'LL HELP YOU. WON'T WE, DAD?
Bartholomew says, OH, YES, IMMEDIATELY, IF NOT SOONER. UM, QUESTION. WHO'S GANYMEDE?
Nova says, MY MOON-CAT! WE WERE PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK IN THE STARS, AND WE GOT SEPARATED.
Isadora asks, IS YOUR MOON-CAT GOLDEN AND GLOWY?
Nova says, YES! HOW DID YOU KNOW?
Bartholomew says, WELL, GOOD NEWS. WE SAW GANYMEDE FALL TO EARTH RIGHT BEFORE YOU DID.
[Nova gasping]
Bartholomew says, UH, BUT, BAD NEWS. WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHERE GADDYDEED LANDED.
Nova sighs, OH!
[Thunder crashing]
[Nova gasping]
[Thunder rolling]
Bartholomew says, UH-OH. THERE'S RAIN ON THE WAY. WE SHOULD GO.
Bartholomew starts to walk away. Isadora flies in front of him.
Isadora says, DAD, WHAT ABOUT GANYMEDE?
Isadora flies away and calls out, GANYMEDE? GANYMEDE!
Nova says, IT'S OKAY. GANYMEDE WOULD RATHER PLAY HIDE AND SEEK IN THE RAIN THAN COME INSIDE.
Isadora lands beside Nova.
Nova says, CHEEKY MOON-CAT.
Isadora says, IF YOU'RE SURE GANYMEDE'S OKAY, WHY DON'T YOU COME HOME WITH US, NOVA?
Nova says, OH, WHAT A FABULOUS IDEA!
[Thunder crashing]
Bartholomew says, AS SOON AS THE RAIN PASSES, WE'LL START THE GREAT GANYMEDE SEARCH.
Bartholomew and Isadora offer Nova their hands. Nova takes their hands, and they fly away with Nova between them.
[Gentle music plays]
Outside the Moon’s mansion, it rains.
[Rain spattering]
Inside, in the kitchen, Cordelia and Bartholomew stand at the counter with a sandwich press.
Cordelia says, ENJOY YOUR CHEESE TOASTIES!
Bartholomew opens the sandwich press. Cordelia waves her wand and floats toasted sandwiches over to Isadora and Nova, who sit at the kitchen table. Nova frowns. Isadora smiles and takes a bite of her sandwich.
Nova says, GLOW SPRITES DO NOT LIKE EARTH CHEESE.
Nova takes a bite of her sandwich, and her eyes widen.
Nova says, MM! OH! SO DELICIOUS!
Cordelia says, WE'VE NEVER MET A GLOW SPRITE BEFORE, NOVA. TELL US EVERYTHING!
Isadora finishes her sandwich.
Nova puts down her sandwich and says, WE LIVE ON A BEAUTIFUL, SPARKLY PLANET, WHICH WOULD GET RUINED BY NOISY, MESSY, EARTH TOURISTS IF HUMANS KNEW ABOUT US. EVERYONE IN AURELIA SAYS HUMANS ARE COMPLETELY MEAN AND ANNOYING.
Nova picks up her sandwich and takes another bite.
Isadora says, THAT'S NOT TRUE! I'VE GOT LOADS OF GREAT HUMAN FRIENDS. MAYBE YOU SHOULD GIVE PEOPLE A CHANCE.
Nova finishes her sandwich. Cordelia and Bartholomew share a smile.
Isadora says, AFTER ALL, I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT BE BAD-TEMPERED AND SCARY.
Nova frowns.
Isadora says, BUT THEN I GOT TO KNOW YOU, AND SAW I WAS TOTALLY WRONG!
Nova smiles.
[Cordelia gasping]
Cordelia says, TIME FOR BED, YOU TWO.
Isadora says, OKAY!
Cordelia and Bartholomew leave the kitchen.
Isadora says, OH! WHILE MUM AND DAD LOOK FOR GANYMEDE TOMORROW, YOU CAN COME TO SCHOOL WITH ME.
Isadora flies off her chair.
Nova says, NO WAY! I WILL NOT LIKE EARTH SCHOOL.
Isadora lands by a stool.
Isadora says, BUT ALL MY FRIENDS WERE STARGAZING TONIGHT, SO ONE OF THEM MIGHT KNOW WHERE GANYMEDE LANDED.
Nova joins Isadora and says, WELL, OKAY. I'LL COME. BUT, THERE'S ONE THING WE'LL HAVE TO DO FIRST.
On a new day, Nova stands outside the school wearing a blue winter hat over her star antennae.
Zoe says, GREAT TO MEET YOU, NOVA! I'M ZOE.
Zoe stands by Nova and Isadora with Sashi, Oliver and J.J.
Zoe says, LOVING THE HAT.
Sashi asks, ISN'T IT A BIT HOT THOUGH?
Sashi reaches for Nova’s hat.
[Nova gasping]
Nova steps back, away from Sashi.
Nova says, IT'S FINE.
Isadora quietly says to Nova, YOU COULD TAKE IT OFF.
Nova says, NO! I DON'T WANT YOUR FRIENDS TO KNOW I'M A GLOW SPRITE. WE DON'T LIKE HUMANS AND THEY WON'T LIKE ME.
Isadora says, THEY WILL! I'M A VAMPIRE-FAIRY, AND ME AND MY HUMAN FRIENDS, WE LOVE EACH OTHER.
J.J. says, HEY, NOVA! WANT TO PLAY FOOTBALL?
J.J. kicks a soccer ball toward Nova using his prosthetic leg.
Nova says, NO! I DO NOT LIKE FOOT –
The soccer ball bounces off the ground.
Nova yelps, WHOA!
Nova expertly bounces the soccer ball between her knees, head and feet. She smiles and stops the ball.
Nova says, HA! BEST GAME EVER!
[Giggling and cheering]
Oliver cheers, NOVA, NOVA!
[School bell ringing]
[Laughing]
In Miss Cherry’s class, Sashi makes a rocket out of a plastic bottle. Isadora frowns. Nova sits beside her and smiles.
Sitting at her desk, Miss Cherry says, THESE SPACE PROJECTS ARE SHAPING UP COSMICALLY WELL! WHAT'S YOURS GOING TO BE, ISADORA?
Isadora says, UM, I STILL DON'T KNOW. NOVA AND I HAD A KIND OF BUSY NIGHT.
Miss Cherry says, WELL, YOU'VE PICKED A GREAT DAY TO VISIT OUR CLASS, NOVA. WE'RE GOING TO HEAR WHAT WONDERS EVERYBODY SAW IN THE SKY LAST NIGHT!
J.J. says, I SAW THREE PIGEONS, MISS.
Behind J.J., Zoe says, I SAW SEVEN!
Miss Cherry says, FASCINATING. DID ANYONE SEE ANYTHING THAT WASN'T A PIGEON?
Sashi says, I SAW TWO SHOOTING STARS. THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL. THE BLUE ONE FELL IN THE PARK AND THE GOLD ONE LANDED SOMEWHERE IN THE FOREST.
[Isadora and Nova gasping]
Isadora and Nova say, THE FOREST!
Later in the day, Cordelia lands her flying car on the street by Isadora and Nova outside the school. Bartholomew rides in the passenger seat.
Cordelia says, I'M SORRY, NOVA. WE'VE SEARCHED ALL OVER TOWN, BUT WE HAVEN'T FOUND –
Isadora and Nova interrupt and say, HE'S IN THE FOREST!
Sashi runs up to Isadora and Nova.
Sashi says, MY DAD SAYS I CAN COME AND LOOK FOR THE STAR WITH YOU!
Isadora says, GREAT!
Nova pulls Isadora away from Sashi.
Isadora yelps, WHOA!
Nova quietly says, YOU ASKED HER TO COME WITH US? BUT, SHE'S, SHE'S A, A HUMAN!
Isadora quietly says, YES, AND AN AMAZING FRIEND TOO. SHE DID TELL US WHERE TO LOOK.
Nova says, WELL, OKAY. IF YOU'RE SURE SHE WON'T DO ANYTHING MEAN OR ANNOYING.
Standing close by, Sashi says, YOU DO KNOW I CAN HEAR YOU, RIGHT?
Nova smiles sheepishly and says, SORRY, SASHI.
[Gentle music plays]
Isadora, Nova and Sashi ride in the back of Cordelia’s car, and they fly over a forest. Pink sparkles float out of the car.
[Bubbling]
A G.P.S. voice says, YOU HAVE REACHED YOUR DESTINATION.
[G.P.S. voice laughing]
Bartholomew says, OH, THANK YOU, BAT MAPS!
Cordelia lands the car in a clearing in the forest.
Nova walks out and says, OKAY, LET'S GET SEARCHING.
Isadora and Sashi follow Nova.
Nova says, GANYMEDE, GANYMEDE, WHERE ARE YOU?
Sashi says, UH, WE ARE LOOKING FOR A STAR, RIGHT?
Isadora says, WELL, IT'S NOT EXACTLY A STAR.
Sashi calls out, GANYMEDE, WHERE ARE YOU?
Bartholomew follows Nova, Isadora and Sashi deeper into the forest. Cordelia walks around to the trunk of her car. On a tree branch, a glowing gold cat creature with star antennae, Ganymede, flits their tail.
Bartholomew calls out, OH, GANYMEDE!
Nova, Isadora and Sashi each shout, GANYMEDE!
Ganymede leaps off the tree branch.
Isadore calls out, COME ON, GANYMEDE!
Nova shouts, GANYMEDE!
Sashi and Nova each shout, WHERE ARE YOU?
Bartholomew, Isadora, Nova and Sashi look around a small clearing.
[Sashi gasping]
Sashi says, I SAW A GOLDEN GLOW!
Sashi points ahead and says, THAT WAY!
A glowing ball of gold light floats through the forest.
Nova says, AW, THANKS, SASHI.
Nova runs after the glowing ball of light.
Nova says, GANYMEDE, IT'S ME! COME BACK!
Sashi, Isadora and Bartholomew follow Nova.
Nova says, THIS IS SO GANYMEDE.
Nova glances at Sashi beside her and says, MOON-CATS LOVE PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK.
Sashi says, ME TOO, AND I'M REALLY GOOD AT IT!
Sashi runs past Nova as the ball of light floats behind a bush. Nova looks surprised. Sashi dives into the bush after the ball of light.
[Sashi laughing]
Sashi says, FOUND YOU!
Sashi holds up Ganymede, who looks confused. Sashi walks out of the bush, and Ganymede smiles.
Nova catches up and says, GANYMEDE!
Nova jumps and runs toward Sashi and Ganymede. Her winter hat falls off, revealing her star antennae and glowing hair. Isadora catches up, grabs the hat, and smiles. Nova takes Ganymede from Sashi and spins Ganymede around.
Sashi says, WHOA! NOVA, YOU'RE ALL GLOWING AND GLITTERY!
Nova frowns and glances at her antennae and glowing hair.
Sashi says, AND AWESOME!
[Sashi and Isadora giggling]
Isadora says, NOVA'S A GLOW SPRITE FROM OUTER SPACE.
Nova says, THANKS FOR FINDING GANYMEDE, SASHI. YOU'RE MY FIRST EVER HUMAN FRIEND, AND YOU'RE NOT EVEN A TINY BIT MEAN OR ANNOYING.
[Sashi giggling]
Sashi says, THANKS. I THINK.
In a clearing at night, Isadora sits on a log by a campfire between Sashi and Nova. Ganymede sleeps at Nova’s feet. Bartholomew sits on a log opposite them and roasts cheese over the fire. Cordelia stands beside him. A large pink tent is set up behind the campfire.
[Fire crackling]
[Owl calling]
Cordelia waves her wand and floats the cheese on Bartholomew’s roasting stick onto a slice of bread. She floats the bread over to Nova, and Nova takes a bite.
Nova says, MM, MM-HM, I LOVE EARTH CHEESE. AND, YOU'LL LOVE MOON CHEESE, ISADORA. I'LL SEND YOU SOME FROM SPACE!
Isadora says, WOW. THANKS!
[Isadora giggling]
Isadora says, MOON CHEESE TOASTIES. I CAN'T WAIT!
Nova takes another bite of her cheesy bread. She looks up at a purple light shooting through the night sky with Isadora and Sashi.
[Gentle music plays]
Nova stands and says, RIGHT, TIME TO GO HOME, GANYMEDE, AND TELL ALL THE GLOW SPRITES HOW KIND, AND HELPFUL, AND FUN HUMANS ARE!
Cordelia says, PUT IN A GOOD WORD FOR VAMPIRES AND FAIRIES TOO!
Nova says, I DEFINITELY WILL!
[Nova giggling]
Nova says, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.
Nova hugs Isadora and Sashi.
[Isadora and Sashi giggling]
Nova says, THREE, TWO, ONE, HERE WE GO!
Nova and Ganymede leap into the air. They blast into the night sky as streams of blue and gold light.
Isadora says, BYE, NOVA!
The streams of light sparkle.
Isadora says, FLY BACK TO SEE US SOON!
Cordelia says, OKAY, EVERYONE, INTO THE TENT FOR A FABULOUS FOREST SLEEPOVER.
Isadora and Sashi run into the tent.
Bartholomew says, OH, REALLY? WE'RE DOING THE CAMPING THING? OH, I KNOW YOU LOVE BEING OUT IN NATURE, MY DARLING, BUT NATURE KEEPS BITING ME!
At school, Isadora stands in front of Miss Cherry’s desk and her classmates. Miss Cherry stands by a window.
Isadora says, FOR MY PROJECT, I'VE MADE FRIENDS WITH A GIRL FROM OUTER SPACE.
At a desk with Zoe, Sashi says, SO DID I! NOVA'S THE BEST.
[Zoe gasping]
Zoe says, NOVA'S FROM OUTER SPACE? THAT MEANS WE ALL MET AN ALIEN!
Oliver and J.J. say, WHOA! SO COOL!
[Whooshing]
Miss Cherry glances toward the window.
Miss Cherry says, UM... IS THAT?
Miss Cherry looks outside and says, A METEORITE?
[Students gasping]
Miss Cherry jumps back from the window, and a dark blue rocket flies into the classroom.
A student says, WHOA.
Another student says, AMAZING!
The shuttle lands on Miss Cherry’s desk among other student projects, including a painting of the solar system and a home-made rocket. Isadora reads a note on the dark blue rocket.
Isadora says, "TO ISADORA, FROM YOUR NEW OUTER SPACE FRIEND, NOVA."
Someone says, WOW.
Zoe says, OH, SO COOL.
Olivier says, THAT'S AMAZING!
J.J. says, OUTER SPACE?
Sashi, Zoe, Oliver and J.J. join Isadora at the front of the classroom. Miss Cherry smells an aroma wafting from the dark blue rocket.
[Miss Cherry deeply inhaling]
Miss Cherry asks, WHAT IS THAT DELICIOUS AROMA?
[Isadora laughing]
The dark blue rocket pops open, revealing a glowing ball of cheese.
Isadora says, MOON CHEESE!
Isadora holds up the ball of cheese.

At the table beside Isadora and Zoe, Oliver and J.J. sit beside each other.
J.J. says, SO, BASICALLY, HOMEWORK IS "STAY UP WAY AFTER BEDTIME."
[Laughing]
Oliver and J.J. high-five.
[Cheering]
Miss Cherry says, ALSO, I'D LIKE YOU TO MAKE OR FIND SOMETHING OUTER SPACEY TO SHOW THE CLASS LATER IN THE WEEK.
Sashi says, I WANT TO MAKE A ROCKET FROM RECYCLING STUFF. WHAT'S YOUR SPACE PROJECT GOING TO BE, ISADORA?
Isadora says, UM, I DON'T KNOW.
[Bell ringing]
Isadora says, I'LL ASK MY DAD TO HELP! VAMPIRES ARE REALLY INTO NIGHTTIME STUFF.
Isadora, Sashi and Zoe grab their books and stand. J.J. and Oliver walk by them. At night, the full moon shines bright through clouds in the sky.
At the Moon’s mansion, Bartholomew says, BEHOLD... THE MOON!
Bartholomew and Isadora look out a window through telescopes.
Bartholomew says, SO GLORIOUS AND WONDEROUS THAT THEY NAMED IT AFTER MY FAMILY!
[Bartholomew laughing]
Isadora looks at the moon through her telescope.
Bartholomew says, YES.
Isadora looks at a constellation through her telescope.
Bartholomew says, SEE, THAT PATTERN OF STARS IS CALLED THE PLOW. THOSE THREE STARS MAKE ORION'S BELT. ALTHOUGH, NO SIGN OF ORION'S TROUSERS.
[Bartholomew laughing]
Bartholomew looks through his telescope. A glowing yellow light flashes past Orion’s Belt.
Bartholomew says, OOH! WHAT WAS THAT?
Isadora asks, IS IT A SHOOTING STAR?
Bartholomew says, I THINK SO!
[Bartholomew gasping]
Bartholomew says, THERE'S ANOTHER ONE!
A glowing blue light flashes through the night sky.
Isadora says, IT'S GOING TO LAND IN THE PARK! DAD, CAN WE GO AND LOOK FOR IT? IT CAN BE MY SPACE PROJECT.
Bartholomew says, YOU KNOW ME. NEVER SAY NO TO A NIGHT FLIGHT!
Bartholomew and Isadora fly out the window and over the town to the park. They hover a pulsing ball of blue light in a bush.
Isadora says, THERE IT IS.
The ball of light moves away from the bush.
Isadora says, HUH? IS THE SHOOTING STAR MOVING AROUND?
Bartholomew says, YES, IT IS!
Bartholomew and Isadora land near a trail. The blue ball of light passes by them.
[Groaning]
Isadora and Bartholomew frown.
Isadora says, MAYBE IT'S AN ALIEN.
Isadora and Bartholomew sneak after the ball of light.
Someone groans, OH! UGH!
Isadora and Bartholomew pause near a bush.
Isadora says, UH-OH. WHAT IF IT'S A BAD-TEMPERED SCARY-ALIEN-SPACE-BEAST?
Bartholomew says, FEAR NOT! MY FINELY TUNED, AND EXQUISITELY-SHAPED VAMPIRE EARS TELL ME IT SOUNDS WORRIED, NOT CROSS.
The someone groans, OH!
[Sighing]
Isadora says, YOU'RE RIGHT. I THINK WHOEVER IT IS NEEDS HELP. COME ON, DAD!
Isadora and Bartholomew continue across the park toward the blue ball of light. A creature with glowing blue and white hair and star antennae steps out from behind a tree. The creature wears yellow overalls over a blue and yellow striped, long-sleeved shirt.
The glowing-haired creature says, GANYMEDE? OH, WHERE ARE YOU?
The glowing-haired creature turns toward Isadora and Bartholomew and jumps in surprise.
[Glowing-haired creature yelping]
The glowing-haired creature says, HUMANS!
Bartholomew yelps, AH! MY HAIR!
The glowing-haired creature flips into a bush.
[Rustling]
The glowing-haired creature pops up and says, GO AWAY. LEAVE ME ALONE! I DO NOT LIKE HUMANS!
Isadora says, WELL, WE'RE NOT HUMANS. JUST A NICE, ORDINARY, VAMPIRE AND VAMPIRE-FAIRY.
Isadora walks over to the glowing-haired creature with Bartholomew.
Isadora says, I'M ISADORA MOON, AND THIS IS MY DAD.
The glowing-haired creature says, I'M NOVA. I'M A GLOW SPRITE FROM PLANET AURELIA.
Nova steps out of the bush.
Nova says, I REALLY WANT TO GET BACK HOME, BUT I HAVE TO FIND GANYMEDE FIRST.
Isadora says, WE'LL HELP YOU. WON'T WE, DAD?
Bartholomew says, OH, YES, IMMEDIATELY, IF NOT SOONER. UM, QUESTION. WHO'S GANYMEDE?
Nova says, MY MOON-CAT! WE WERE PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK IN THE STARS, AND WE GOT SEPARATED.
Isadora asks, IS YOUR MOON-CAT GOLDEN AND GLOWY?
Nova says, YES! HOW DID YOU KNOW?
Bartholomew says, WELL, GOOD NEWS. WE SAW GANYMEDE FALL TO EARTH RIGHT BEFORE YOU DID.
[Nova gasping]
Bartholomew says, UH, BUT, BAD NEWS. WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHERE GADDYDEED LANDED.
Nova sighs, OH!
[Thunder crashing]
[Nova gasping]
[Thunder rolling]
Bartholomew says, UH-OH. THERE'S RAIN ON THE WAY. WE SHOULD GO.
Bartholomew starts to walk away. Isadora flies in front of him.
Isadora says, DAD, WHAT ABOUT GANYMEDE?
Isadora flies away and calls out, GANYMEDE? GANYMEDE!
Nova says, IT'S OKAY. GANYMEDE WOULD RATHER PLAY HIDE AND SEEK IN THE RAIN THAN COME INSIDE.
Isadora lands beside Nova.
Nova says, CHEEKY MOON-CAT.
Isadora says, IF YOU'RE SURE GANYMEDE'S OKAY, WHY DON'T YOU COME HOME WITH US, NOVA?
Nova says, OH, WHAT A FABULOUS IDEA!
[Thunder crashing]
Bartholomew says, AS SOON AS THE RAIN PASSES, WE'LL START THE GREAT GANYMEDE SEARCH.
Bartholomew and Isadora offer Nova their hands. Nova takes their hands, and they fly away with Nova between them.
[Gentle music plays]
Outside the Moon’s mansion, it rains.
[Rain spattering]
Inside, in the kitchen, Cordelia and Bartholomew stand at the counter with a sandwich press.
Cordelia says, ENJOY YOUR CHEESE TOASTIES!
Bartholomew opens the sandwich press. Cordelia waves her wand and floats toasted sandwiches over to Isadora and Nova, who sit at the kitchen table. Nova frowns. Isadora smiles and takes a bite of her sandwich.
Nova says, GLOW SPRITES DO NOT LIKE EARTH CHEESE.
Nova takes a bite of her sandwich, and her eyes widen.
Nova says, MM! OH! SO DELICIOUS!
Cordelia says, WE'VE NEVER MET A GLOW SPRITE BEFORE, NOVA. TELL US EVERYTHING!
Isadora finishes her sandwich.
Nova puts down her sandwich and says, WE LIVE ON A BEAUTIFUL, SPARKLY PLANET, WHICH WOULD GET RUINED BY NOISY, MESSY, EARTH TOURISTS IF HUMANS KNEW ABOUT US. EVERYONE IN AURELIA SAYS HUMANS ARE COMPLETELY MEAN AND ANNOYING.
Nova picks up her sandwich and takes another bite.
Isadora says, THAT'S NOT TRUE! I'VE GOT LOADS OF GREAT HUMAN FRIENDS. MAYBE YOU SHOULD GIVE PEOPLE A CHANCE.
Nova finishes her sandwich. Cordelia and Bartholomew share a smile.
Isadora says, AFTER ALL, I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT BE BAD-TEMPERED AND SCARY.
Nova frowns.
Isadora says, BUT THEN I GOT TO KNOW YOU, AND SAW I WAS TOTALLY WRONG!
Nova smiles.
[Cordelia gasping]
Cordelia says, TIME FOR BED, YOU TWO.
Isadora says, OKAY!
Cordelia and Bartholomew leave the kitchen.
Isadora says, OH! WHILE MUM AND DAD LOOK FOR GANYMEDE TOMORROW, YOU CAN COME TO SCHOOL WITH ME.
Isadora flies off her chair.
Nova says, NO WAY! I WILL NOT LIKE EARTH SCHOOL.
Isadora lands by a stool.
Isadora says, BUT ALL MY FRIENDS WERE STARGAZING TONIGHT, SO ONE OF THEM MIGHT KNOW WHERE GANYMEDE LANDED.
Nova joins Isadora and says, WELL, OKAY. I'LL COME. BUT, THERE'S ONE THING WE'LL HAVE TO DO FIRST.
On a new day, Nova stands outside the school wearing a blue winter hat over her star antennae.
Zoe says, GREAT TO MEET YOU, NOVA! I'M ZOE.
Zoe stands by Nova and Isadora with Sashi, Oliver and J.J.
Zoe says, LOVING THE HAT.
Sashi asks, ISN'T IT A BIT HOT THOUGH?
Sashi reaches for Nova’s hat.
[Nova gasping]
Nova steps back, away from Sashi.
Nova says, IT'S FINE.
Isadora quietly says to Nova, YOU COULD TAKE IT OFF.
Nova says, NO! I DON'T WANT YOUR FRIENDS TO KNOW I'M A GLOW SPRITE. WE DON'T LIKE HUMANS AND THEY WON'T LIKE ME.
Isadora says, THEY WILL! I'M A VAMPIRE-FAIRY, AND ME AND MY HUMAN FRIENDS, WE LOVE EACH OTHER.
J.J. says, HEY, NOVA! WANT TO PLAY FOOTBALL?
J.J. kicks a soccer ball toward Nova using his prosthetic leg.
Nova says, NO! I DO NOT LIKE FOOT –
The soccer ball bounces off the ground.
Nova yelps, WHOA!
Nova expertly bounces the soccer ball between her knees, head and feet. She smiles and stops the ball.
Nova says, HA! BEST GAME EVER!
[Giggling and cheering]
Oliver cheers, NOVA, NOVA!
[School bell ringing]
[Laughing]
In Miss Cherry’s class, Sashi makes a rocket out of a plastic bottle. Isadora frowns. Nova sits beside her and smiles.
Sitting at her desk, Miss Cherry says, THESE SPACE PROJECTS ARE SHAPING UP COSMICALLY WELL! WHAT'S YOURS GOING TO BE, ISADORA?
Isadora says, UM, I STILL DON'T KNOW. NOVA AND I HAD A KIND OF BUSY NIGHT.
Miss Cherry says, WELL, YOU'VE PICKED A GREAT DAY TO VISIT OUR CLASS, NOVA. WE'RE GOING TO HEAR WHAT WONDERS EVERYBODY SAW IN THE SKY LAST NIGHT!
J.J. says, I SAW THREE PIGEONS, MISS.
Behind J.J., Zoe says, I SAW SEVEN!
Miss Cherry says, FASCINATING. DID ANYONE SEE ANYTHING THAT WASN'T A PIGEON?
Sashi says, I SAW TWO SHOOTING STARS. THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL. THE BLUE ONE FELL IN THE PARK AND THE GOLD ONE LANDED SOMEWHERE IN THE FOREST.
[Isadora and Nova gasping]
Isadora and Nova say, THE FOREST!
Later in the day, Cordelia lands her flying car on the street by Isadora and Nova outside the school. Bartholomew rides in the passenger seat.
Cordelia says, I'M SORRY, NOVA. WE'VE SEARCHED ALL OVER TOWN, BUT WE HAVEN'T FOUND –
Isadora and Nova interrupt and say, HE'S IN THE FOREST!
Sashi runs up to Isadora and Nova.
Sashi says, MY DAD SAYS I CAN COME AND LOOK FOR THE STAR WITH YOU!
Isadora says, GREAT!
Nova pulls Isadora away from Sashi.
Isadora yelps, WHOA!
Nova quietly says, YOU ASKED HER TO COME WITH US? BUT, SHE'S, SHE'S A, A HUMAN!
Isadora quietly says, YES, AND AN AMAZING FRIEND TOO. SHE DID TELL US WHERE TO LOOK.
Nova says, WELL, OKAY. IF YOU'RE SURE SHE WON'T DO ANYTHING MEAN OR ANNOYING.
Standing close by, Sashi says, YOU DO KNOW I CAN HEAR YOU, RIGHT?
Nova smiles sheepishly and says, SORRY, SASHI.
[Gentle music plays]
Isadora, Nova and Sashi ride in the back of Cordelia’s car, and they fly over a forest. Pink sparkles float out of the car.
[Bubbling]
A G.P.S. voice says, YOU HAVE REACHED YOUR DESTINATION.
[G.P.S. voice laughing]
Bartholomew says, OH, THANK YOU, BAT MAPS!
Cordelia lands the car in a clearing in the forest.
Nova walks out and says, OKAY, LET'S GET SEARCHING.
Isadora and Sashi follow Nova.
Nova says, GANYMEDE, GANYMEDE, WHERE ARE YOU?
Sashi says, UH, WE ARE LOOKING FOR A STAR, RIGHT?
Isadora says, WELL, IT'S NOT EXACTLY A STAR.
Sashi calls out, GANYMEDE, WHERE ARE YOU?
Bartholomew follows Nova, Isadora and Sashi deeper into the forest. Cordelia walks around to the trunk of her car. On a tree branch, a glowing gold cat creature with star antennae, Ganymede, flits their tail.
Bartholomew calls out, OH, GANYMEDE!
Nova, Isadora and Sashi each shout, GANYMEDE!
Ganymede leaps off the tree branch.
Isadore calls out, COME ON, GANYMEDE!
Nova shouts, GANYMEDE!
Sashi and Nova each shout, WHERE ARE YOU?
Bartholomew, Isadora, Nova and Sashi look around a small clearing.
[Sashi gasping]
Sashi says, I SAW A GOLDEN GLOW!
Sashi points ahead and says, THAT WAY!
A glowing ball of gold light floats through the forest.
Nova says, AW, THANKS, SASHI.
Nova runs after the glowing ball of light.
Nova says, GANYMEDE, IT'S ME! COME BACK!
Sashi, Isadora and Bartholomew follow Nova.
Nova says, THIS IS SO GANYMEDE.
Nova glances at Sashi beside her and says, MOON-CATS LOVE PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK.
Sashi says, ME TOO, AND I'M REALLY GOOD AT IT!
Sashi runs past Nova as the ball of light floats behind a bush. Nova looks surprised. Sashi dives into the bush after the ball of light.
[Sashi laughing]
Sashi says, FOUND YOU!
Sashi holds up Ganymede, who looks confused. Sashi walks out of the bush, and Ganymede smiles.
Nova catches up and says, GANYMEDE!
Nova jumps and runs toward Sashi and Ganymede. Her winter hat falls off, revealing her star antennae and glowing hair. Isadora catches up, grabs the hat, and smiles. Nova takes Ganymede from Sashi and spins Ganymede around.
Sashi says, WHOA! NOVA, YOU'RE ALL GLOWING AND GLITTERY!
Nova frowns and glances at her antennae and glowing hair.
Sashi says, AND AWESOME!
[Sashi and Isadora giggling]
Isadora says, NOVA'S A GLOW SPRITE FROM OUTER SPACE.
Nova says, THANKS FOR FINDING GANYMEDE, SASHI. YOU'RE MY FIRST EVER HUMAN FRIEND, AND YOU'RE NOT EVEN A TINY BIT MEAN OR ANNOYING.
[Sashi giggling]
Sashi says, THANKS. I THINK.
In a clearing at night, Isadora sits on a log by a campfire between Sashi and Nova. Ganymede sleeps at Nova’s feet. Bartholomew sits on a log opposite them and roasts cheese over the fire. Cordelia stands beside him. A large pink tent is set up behind the campfire.
[Fire crackling]
[Owl calling]
Cordelia waves her wand and floats the cheese on Bartholomew’s roasting stick onto a slice of bread. She floats the bread over to Nova, and Nova takes a bite.
Nova says, MM, MM-HM, I LOVE EARTH CHEESE. AND, YOU'LL LOVE MOON CHEESE, ISADORA. I'LL SEND YOU SOME FROM SPACE!
Isadora says, WOW. THANKS!
[Isadora giggling]
Isadora says, MOON CHEESE TOASTIES. I CAN'T WAIT!
Nova takes another bite of her cheesy bread. She looks up at a purple light shooting through the night sky with Isadora and Sashi.
[Gentle music plays]
Nova stands and says, RIGHT, TIME TO GO HOME, GANYMEDE, AND TELL ALL THE GLOW SPRITES HOW KIND, AND HELPFUL, AND FUN HUMANS ARE!
Cordelia says, PUT IN A GOOD WORD FOR VAMPIRES AND FAIRIES TOO!
Nova says, I DEFINITELY WILL!
[Nova giggling]
Nova says, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.
Nova hugs Isadora and Sashi.
[Isadora and Sashi giggling]
Nova says, THREE, TWO, ONE, HERE WE GO!
Nova and Ganymede leap into the air. They blast into the night sky as streams of blue and gold light.
Isadora says, BYE, NOVA!
The streams of light sparkle.
Isadora says, FLY BACK TO SEE US SOON!
Cordelia says, OKAY, EVERYONE, INTO THE TENT FOR A FABULOUS FOREST SLEEPOVER.
Isadora and Sashi run into the tent.
Bartholomew says, OH, REALLY? WE'RE DOING THE CAMPING THING? OH, I KNOW YOU LOVE BEING OUT IN NATURE, MY DARLING, BUT NATURE KEEPS BITING ME!
At school, Isadora stands in front of Miss Cherry’s desk and her classmates. Miss Cherry stands by a window.
Isadora says, FOR MY PROJECT, I'VE MADE FRIENDS WITH A GIRL FROM OUTER SPACE.
At a desk with Zoe, Sashi says, SO DID I! NOVA'S THE BEST.
[Zoe gasping]
Zoe says, NOVA'S FROM OUTER SPACE? THAT MEANS WE ALL MET AN ALIEN!
Oliver and J.J. say, WHOA! SO COOL!
[Whooshing]
Miss Cherry glances toward the window.
Miss Cherry says, UM... IS THAT?
Miss Cherry looks outside and says, A METEORITE?
[Students gasping]
Miss Cherry jumps back from the window, and a dark blue rocket flies into the classroom.
A student says, WHOA.
Another student says, AMAZING!
The shuttle lands on Miss Cherry’s desk among other student projects, including a painting of the solar system and a home-made rocket. Isadora reads a note on the dark blue rocket.
Isadora says, "TO ISADORA, FROM YOUR NEW OUTER SPACE FRIEND, NOVA."
Someone says, WOW.
Zoe says, OH, SO COOL.
Olivier says, THAT'S AMAZING!
J.J. says, OUTER SPACE?
Sashi, Zoe, Oliver and J.J. join Isadora at the front of the classroom. Miss Cherry smells an aroma wafting from the dark blue rocket.
[Miss Cherry deeply inhaling]
Miss Cherry asks, WHAT IS THAT DELICIOUS AROMA?
[Isadora laughing]
The dark blue rocket pops open, revealing a glowing ball of cheese.
Isadora says, MOON CHEESE!
Isadora holds up the ball of cheese.
[Upbeat music plays]
