A singer sings, ISADORA MOON THE ONE AND ONLY, HERE I GO. I'M TOTALLY UNIQUE AND EXTRA-STARRY.
Isadora spins and waves her star wand.
The singer sings, WAVING MY WAND, FLYING FEARLESSLY, YEAH IT'S YOUR GIRL, ISADORA.
Isadora’s fairy mom, Cordelia, and vampire dad, Bartholomew, join Isadora. Cordelia has long, wavy pink hair, pointy ears and green wings. She wears a flower crown and a green cardigan over a pink dress. Bartholomew has short black hair and wears a black and purple cape with a striped, grey suit vest.
The singer sings, A LITTLE BIT OF BOTH. HALF A VAMPIRE, HALF A FAIRY.
Isadora flies over her neighbourhood with Pink Rabbit, a stuffed toy that comes to life.

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]
On a sunny day, Cordelia walks down a sidewalk with Isadora and Zoe. The episode title reads, “Fairy Vampire Kitten.”
Cordelia says, OH, I THINK YOU GIRLS WILL HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME PLAYING WITH ZOE'S COUSIN TODAY. IT'S SO NICE THAT HE INVITED YOU OVER.
Isadora says, I KNOW! I CAN'T BELIEVE I'VE NEVER MET YOUR COUSIN MAX BEFORE.
Zoe says, HE'S BEEN ASKING ME FOR AGES TO COME OVER AND PLAY. I DON'T GO THAT OFTEN BECAUSE HE CAN BE A BIT OF A SHOW-OFF.
Cordelia says, OH, I'M SURE HE'S A PERFECTLY LOVELY YOUNG MAN. HE'S PROBABLY JUST VERY EXCITED TO SEE YOU.
Zoe says, YEAH, MAYBE. ANYWAYS, THANKS FOR COMING WITH ME, ISADORA!
Isadora says, THAT'S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR. IT'LL BE FUN.
Zoe says, IT'LL BE MORE FUN NOW YOU'RE COMING TOO!
[Isadora giggling]
Zoe walks up to a townhouse and takes a deep breath.
[Zoe breathing deeply]
Zoe says, HERE IT GOES.
Zoe rings the doorbell.
[Doorbell ringing]
[Suspenseful music plays]
A boy with short black hair wearing a green long-sleeved shirt answers the door.
[Door creaking]
The black-haired boy says, ZOE! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR AGES! OH! WHO ARE YOU?
Zoe waves and says, HI, MAX! THIS IS MY FRIEND, ISADORA, AND HER MUM, COUNTESS MOON.
Isadora waves and says, HI!
Cordelia says, LOVELY TO MEET YOU, MAX.
Max, the black-haired boy, frowns at Isadora.
Max says, OH! SHE'S GOT WINGS AND FANGS.
Isadora says, YES! I'M A –
Max interrupts and says, COOL! I'M SURE YOU'LL WANT TO HEAR ABOUT ALL THE AMAZING STUFF I'VE BEEN DOING, TOO! HURRY UP THEN. COME IN.
Max steps away from the door. Isadora glances at Zoe, who smiles.
Isadora says, HUH?
[Zoe giggling]
Isadora follows Zoe to the door.
In the doorway, Isadora says, THANKS, MUM. SEE YOU LATER.
Cordelia says, BYE!
Isadora and Cordelia wave to each other, and Isadora closes the door. Cordelia flies away. Inside, Max runs into the living room. A piano sits against the far wall beside a fireplace, and sunlight shines on a fish bowl by the window on a small table.
Max says, IT'S SO TOTALLY AMAZING THAT YOU'RE HERE!
Zoe and Isadora follow Max into the room.
Max says, I'VE DONE SO MUCH STUFF SINCE I LAST SAW YOU. LOOK! I GOT THIS FOR GRADE 1 PIANO!
Max looks up at a certificate above the piano.
Zoe says, OH, COOL.
Max sits on the piano bench.
Max asks, ZOE, DO YOU PLAY THE PIANO?
Zoe says, WELL, I MEAN –
Max interrupts and says, NOPE! I DIDN'T THINK SO.
Zoe frowns.
Max says, OH, MAYBE I COULD TRY AND TEACH YOU, ALTHOUGH IT'S ACTUALLY REALLY DIFFICULT.
Max closes his eyes and plays the piano.
[Off-key piano music plays]
[Isadora gasping]
Max turns to Zoe and Isadora.
Max says, PRETTY GOOD, HUH?
[Zoe huffing]
[Isadora giggling]
[Max gasping]
Max says, AND LOOK!
Max hops off the piano bench and grabs a frame off the fireplace mantel with a photo of himself on a third-place podium.
Max says, THIS IS ME COMING THIRD IN GYMNASTICS CLUB. ZOE, CAN YOU DO GYMNASTICS?
Zoe says, UH, NO.
Max says, NOT EVEN A CARTWHEEL? EVERYONE CAN DO A CARTWHEEL! GO ON. TRY A CARTWHEEL.
Zoe says, UM. WELL, I MEAN.
Max says, GO ON.
Sighing, Zoe says, OKAY.
Max cheers, YES!
Max places the photo back on the mantel. Isadora takes a step back, and Zoe attempts a cartwheel. Zoe flips onto one hand, slips onto her feet, and stumbles onto the floor.
Zoe yelps, OH!
[Isadora gasping]
[Zoe grunting]
Zoe gives a thumbs up and says, I'M OKAY!
[Max giggling]
Max says, THAT WAS SO BAD!
[Max giggling]
Max says, THIS IS HOW YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO IT. MOVE.
Max steps between Zoe and Isadora and spreads his arms.
[Max sighing]
Max attempts a cartwheel. He tries to flip onto his hands and kicks his feet in the air.
[Max grunting]
Max stands. He smiles and tries again. He flips forward into a handstand and rolls onto his bottom on the rug.
[Max grunting]
Max stands and says, VOILA!
[Isadora clapping]
Isadora asks, ARE YOU OKAY, ZOE?
Isadora runs over to Zoe and offers her a hand.
Still on the floor, Zoe sighs, YEAH, FINE.
Isadora helps Zoe stand.
Max says, ZOE, LOOK!
Max runs over to the fish bowl.
Max says, THIS IS HERCULES. HE'S MY NEW GOLDFISH. ISN'T HE AMAZING? SEE HOW HE SWIMS IN A CIRCLE? I TAUGHT HIM HOW TO DO THAT.
Max’s goldfish, Hercules, swims in circles in front of a castle. Zoe stands by the fish bowl with Isadora. She crosses her arms and rolls her eyes.
Zoe says, WOW.
Max says, YOU DON'T HAVE A PET, DO YOU, ZOE?
Zoe says, UM.
Max says, HEY! MAYBE IF YOU'RE REALLY VERY CAREFUL, I COULD LET YOU TRY AND FEED HERCULES.
Max opens a jar of fish food and offers it to Zoe.
Zoe says, WELL, OKAY.
Zoe takes the jar from Max and smiles. She holds the jar over the fish bowl and tilts it toward the water.
[Max gasping]
Max says, NOT LIKE THAT!
Max takes the jar and says, JUST A LITTLE PINCH. FISH CAN DIE IF YOU OVERFEED THEM. WATCH ME.
Max sprinkles fish food into the palm of his hand.
Zoe says, FINE. YOU OBVIOUSLY KNOW BETTER.
Max drops the fish food into the fish bowl.
Max says, IT'S OKAY. YOU WOULDN'T KNOW. YOU DON'T HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH PETS.
[Zoe groaning]
Zoe clenches her fists.
[Zoe slowly exhaling]
Zoe says, ACTUALLY, I DO HAVE A PET.
Max and Isadora say, YOU DO!?
Max and Isadora look shocked.
Zoe says, YEP. I'VE GOT A KITTEN. AND IT CAN DO TRICKS.
Isadora quietly says to Zoe, YOU DON'T HAVE A KITTEN.
Zoe says, YES, A CUTE LITTLE KITTEN. IT'S CALLED ISADORA JUST LIKE MY BEST FRIEND. I BROUGHT IT WITH ME.
[Isadora gasping]
Isadora says, A KITTEN JUST LIKE ME?
[Max gasping]
Max says, I WANT TO SEE IT! WHERE IS IT?
Max looks around him.
Zoe says, JUST OUTSIDE. COME ON, ISADORA. LET'S GO AND GET IT.
Max looks excited. Zoe skips out of the room. Isadora slowly follows.
Isadora moans, OH.
In the entryway, Isadora closes the living room door.
Isadora quietly says, I'M REALLY NOT SURE ABOUT PRETENDING TO BE AN ACTUAL KITTEN.
Zoe says, PLEASE, ISADORA! DO IT FOR ME! IT'LL BE FUN!
Isadora says, UM…
Zoe says, ANYWAYS, MAX IS ALREADY EXPECTING A KITTEN. WE CAN'T LET HIM DOWN.
[Isadora sighing]
Isadora says, FINE.
Isadora closes her eyes.
[Isadora grunting]
Pink and purple sparkles shine around Isadora, and cat whiskers pop out of her cheeks. Isadora opens her eyes, and they disappear.
Isadora sighs, OH, I CAN'T.
Zoe says, OH, PLEASE, ISADORA! TRY AGAIN!
[Isadora sighing]
Isadora says, OKAY, FINE.
Isadora closes her eyes and clenches her fists.
[Isadora grunting]
A sparkly purple cloud wraps around Isadora, and she shapeshifts into her black and pink kitten self.
[Zoe gasping]
Zoe says, AWESOME!
Zoe picks up Isadora. Isadora looks unimpressed.
Zoe says, AND REMEMBER, ACTUAL KITTENS DON'T TALK.
As a kitten, Isadora says, ACTUAL KITTENS AREN'T PINK AND BLACK.
[Zoe giggling]
Zoe carries Isadora into the living room.
[Max gasping]
Max sets down the fish food and runs over to Zoe and Isadora.
Max says, WOW! IT'S SO CUTE!
Max frowns and asks, WHERE DID YOUR FRIEND GO?
Zoe says, SHE, UM, HAD TO GO.
Max says, OH.
Zoe says, BUT LOOK AT MY KITTEN.
Isadora says, MEOW!
Max says, I LOVE IT! GET HER TO DO SOME TRICKS!
Isadora quietly says, TRICKS?
Zoe frowns.
Isadora says, I MEAN, MEOW!
Zoe says, YEP. OF COURSE!
Zoe puts Isadora on the floor.
Zoe says, ISADORA, SIT.
Isadora sits.
Zoe says, LIE DOWN!
Isadora lies down.
Zoe says, BEG!
[Isadora groaning]
Isadora sits up and raises her right paw.
Max says, AMAZING! SHOW ME MORE!
Zoe says, OH, YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ANYTHING YET.
Isadora says, AH-HEM.
Zoe says, ISADORA, HOP!
[Zoe giggling]
[Isadora sighing]
Isadora hops on the spot.
Zoe says, CLAP YOUR PAWS!
Isadora claps her kitten paws.
Zoe says, SING!
[Zoe giggling]
Isadora raises an eyebrow.
Zoe says, GO ON! SING! PLEASE!
[Isadora sighing]
Isadora sings, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW.
Max claps his hands.
[Max giggling]
Max says, WOW! SHE SOUNDS ALMOST LIKE A REAL HUMAN PERSON! I WISH I HAD A PET AS COOL AS YOURS.
Zoe says, I DID THINK ABOUT GOING ON T.V., BUT I DIDN'T WANT THE HASSLE.
Max says, WAIT! LET ME GET SOMETHING.
Max leaves.
[Crashing]
Zoe and Isadora share a look. Max returns with a bag of chicken cat food.
Isadora says, HUH?
Max says, CAT FOOD! IT'S BEEN IN THE CUPBOARD SINCE GRANNY CAME TO STAY WITH HER CAT. IT'S BEEN A WHILE, BUT I'M SURE IT'S STILL FINE.
Max offers the bag to Isadora.
Isadora yelps, AH!
Isadora runs away and says, MEOW!
Isadora hides behind Zoe.
Max says, OH! WHY DOESN'T YOUR KITTEN LIKE MY CAT FOOD?
Zoe says, UM, IT'S BECAUSE…
Zoe takes a closer look at the bag.
Zoe says, THAT'S CHICKEN! MY KITTEN ONLY EATS FISH. BUT DON'T WORRY. SHE STILL HAS LOTS MORE TRICKS TO SHOW YOU. LIKE, UM, A CARTWHEEL!
Isadora says, MEOW?!
Max says, OH, YES! I TOTALLY WANT TO SEE THAT!
Zoe crouches beside Isadora and whispers, GO ON, ISADORA! SHOW MAX YOUR CARTWHEEL. PLEASE!
[Isadora groaning]
Isadora tries to stand on her front paws.
[Isadora grunting]
Isadora stands on her back paws and flips onto her front paws. She tries to cartwheel onto her back paws and slips.
[Isadora grunting]
Isadora yelps, WHOA!
Isadora falls into the table with the fish bowl. The table wobbles and water splashes out of the bowl onto the floor.
[Splashing]
[Zoe gasping]
The table steadies.
[Zoe sighing in relief]
Zoe says, OOPS!
Max says, UH-OH. I NEED TO MOP THIS UP.
Max leaves with the bag of cat food.
Zoe asks, ISADORA! ARE YOU OKAY?
Isadora says, I'M FINE, BUT I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF BEING YOUR KITTEN.
Zoe says, JUST A BIT LONGER, ISADORA. PLEASE!
In the entryway, Max throws open a closet. He reaches inside and tosses out a soccer ball.
Max says, NO! NOT THAT!
Max throws a dinosaur toy out of the closet.
[Dinosaur squeaking]
Max says, NOPE.
Max tosses out a watering can.
Max says, OH! THAT'S WHERE THAT WENT!
Max tosses out a sponge and pulls out a mop.
Max cheers, YES!
In the living room, Zoe says, THANKS, ISADORA. I KNEW I COULD COUNT ON YOU.
From close by, Max says, ZOE, YOU TALK TO YOUR KITTEN?
[Zoe gasping in surprise]
Max walks in with the mop and starts mopping the spilled water.
Max says, I TALK TO HERCULES, TOO. ISN'T HE AMAZING?
Max looks at the fish bowl and finds Hercules missing.
Max says, HUH?
[Max gasping]
Max drops the mop and says, HERCULES! HERCULES, WHERE ARE YOU?
Max looks around the room. Still a kitten, Isadora walks over to the fish bowl table and stands on her hind legs against one of the table legs.
[Max gasping]
Isadora raises an eyebrow.
Max points at Isadora and says, YOU! YOU ATE HERCULES!
Isadora says, MEOW?
At the same time, Zoe says, WHAT?
Max says, YOU SAID YOUR KITTEN ONLY EATS FISH!
Zoe says, NOT GOLDFISH!
Max says, IF YOUR CAT DIDN'T EAT HERCULES, WHERE IS HE?
Max bursts into tears.
[Max crying]
Max sobs, HERCULES! I LOVED HIM SO MUCH!
Zoe and Isadora share a look. Zoe walks over to Max and lays her hand on his shoulder.
Zoe says, I'M SURE HE'S OKAY, MAX.
[Max crying]
Max pulls away from Zoe.
Max says, LEAVE ME ALONE. I DON'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOU OR YOUR HORRIBLE GOLDFISH-EATING KITTEN.
[Max crying]
Isadora hugs herself with one of her front legs.
Zoe says, REALLY, MAX. ISADORA DIDN'T EAT HERCULES.
Max asks, HOW CAN YOU KNOW?
[Max crying]
[Isadora sighing]
[Isadora grunting]
Pink and purple sparkles shine around Isadora. A purple cloud wraps around her, and she shapeshifts back into her regular fairy-vampire self. Max stops crying and looks at Isadora.
Max says, HUH?
Isadora smiles and says, BECAUSE I'M ZOE'S KITTEN.
Max says, WAIT. WHAT?!
Zoe says, SO, YEAH. ISADORA CAN SHAPESHIFT.
Max says, SHAPE WHAT?
Zoe says, SHE CAN TURN INTO A KITTEN.
Isadora says, I'M A FAIRY-VAMPIRE.
Isadora flaps her wings.
Max asks, FAIRY-VAMPIRE? WHAT EVEN IS THAT?
Zoe says, HALF FAIRY, HALF VAMPIRE.
Isadora says, BUT THAT STILL DOESN'T EXPLAIN WHAT'S HAPPENED TO –
Isadora looks inside the fish bowl castle and says, HUH?
[Isadora gasping]
Hercules swims out of the castle.
Isadora says, LOOK! HERCULES! HE'S RIGHT THERE IN THE LITTLE CASTLE!
[Max gasping]
Max says, HE IS?
Hercules swims in circles.
Max says, HERCULES! THERE YOU ARE!
Isadora says, HE WAS JUST HIDING.
Max scratches the back of his head.
Max says, YEAH, HE DOES THAT SOMETIMES. BUT ANYWAY, YOU CAN TURN INTO A KITTEN! THAT'S SO AMAZING.
Zoe says, SHE IS PRETTY AMAZING, ISN'T SHE?
Max says, I WISH I HAD AN AMAZING FAIRY-VAMPIRE FRIEND, TOO. YOU'RE SO LUCKY, ZOE. I JUST WANT TO BE AWESOME LIKE YOU.
Zoe says, YOU WANT TO BE LIKE ME?
Max says, TOTALLY! I ALWAYS TRY TO TELL YOU ABOUT MY STUFF, AND NOW I GET WHY YOU'RE NOT REALLY INTERESTED. I'M SO BORING COMPARED WITH A FRIEND WHO CAN TURN INTO A KITTEN.
Zoe says, OH, MAX! I DON'T THINK YOU'RE BORING. I DON'T NEED YOU TO TRY AND IMPRESS ME. I THINK YOU'RE GREAT JUST THE WAY YOU ARE.
Max says, WOW. THANKS, ZOE! MAYBE YOU AND ISADORA COULD COME AROUND AND PLAY AGAIN TOMORROW.
Zoe says, SURE!
Max says, AND ISADORA COULD TURN INTO A KITTEN AGAIN AND DO MORE TRICKS.
[Isadora gasping]
[Zoe giggling]
Zoe steps between Max and Isadora.
Zoe says, THAT WOULD BE UP TO ISADORA.
Isadora smiles.
Zoe says, YOU KNOW, MAX. YOU'RE RIGHT ABOUT ONE THING. I DO HAVE AN AMAZING FRIEND. AND I SHOULD DEFINITELY NOT ASK HER TO BE A KITTEN WHEN SHE DOESN'T WANT TO.
Max smiles.
Zoe lowers her gaze and says, SORRY.
Isadora says, AWE! THANKS, ZOE.
[Isadora giggling]
Isadora says, IT WAS KIND OF FUNNY.
[Isadora and Zoe giggling]
Isadora and Zoe share a hug.
Zoe says, YOUR FACE WHEN MAX TRIED TO MAKE YOU EAT THAT CAT FOOD.
[Zoe giggling]
[Isadora groaning]
Max watches Hercules swim around the fish bowl.
[Isadora and Zoe giggling]
Zoe turns to Max and says, SO, WANT TO TEACH US SOME PIANO? I THINK BOTH OF US WOULD LOVE A LESSON.
Max says, COOL! LET ME SHOW YOU SOME STUFF!
Zoe and Isadora follow Max to the piano. Max hops onto the bench and begins to play.
[Playful piano music plays]
Zoe says, GOOD ONE, MAX! LET ME TRY.
Zoe sits on the bench beside Max and starts playing.
Max says, YEAH! AWESOME, ZOE!
Isadora taps her foot to the music.
Isadora says, WATCH THIS!
Isadora stands beside the bench and plays the piano with Max and Zoe.

[Isadora giggling]
Max says, HA! BRILLIANT, ISADORA!

The black-haired boy says, ZOE! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR AGES! OH! WHO ARE YOU?
Zoe waves and says, HI, MAX! THIS IS MY FRIEND, ISADORA, AND HER MUM, COUNTESS MOON.
Isadora waves and says, HI!
Cordelia says, LOVELY TO MEET YOU, MAX.
Max, the black-haired boy, frowns at Isadora.
Max says, OH! SHE'S GOT WINGS AND FANGS.
Isadora says, YES! I'M A –
Max interrupts and says, COOL! I'M SURE YOU'LL WANT TO HEAR ABOUT ALL THE AMAZING STUFF I'VE BEEN DOING, TOO! HURRY UP THEN. COME IN.
Max steps away from the door. Isadora glances at Zoe, who smiles.
Isadora says, HUH?
[Zoe giggling]
Isadora follows Zoe to the door.
In the doorway, Isadora says, THANKS, MUM. SEE YOU LATER.
Cordelia says, BYE!
Isadora and Cordelia wave to each other, and Isadora closes the door. Cordelia flies away. Inside, Max runs into the living room. A piano sits against the far wall beside a fireplace, and sunlight shines on a fish bowl by the window on a small table.
Max says, IT'S SO TOTALLY AMAZING THAT YOU'RE HERE!
Zoe and Isadora follow Max into the room.
Max says, I'VE DONE SO MUCH STUFF SINCE I LAST SAW YOU. LOOK! I GOT THIS FOR GRADE 1 PIANO!
Max looks up at a certificate above the piano.
Zoe says, OH, COOL.
Max sits on the piano bench.
Max asks, ZOE, DO YOU PLAY THE PIANO?
Zoe says, WELL, I MEAN –
Max interrupts and says, NOPE! I DIDN'T THINK SO.
Zoe frowns.
Max says, OH, MAYBE I COULD TRY AND TEACH YOU, ALTHOUGH IT'S ACTUALLY REALLY DIFFICULT.
Max closes his eyes and plays the piano.
[Off-key piano music plays]
[Isadora gasping]
Max turns to Zoe and Isadora.
Max says, PRETTY GOOD, HUH?
[Zoe huffing]
[Isadora giggling]
[Max gasping]
Max says, AND LOOK!
Max hops off the piano bench and grabs a frame off the fireplace mantel with a photo of himself on a third-place podium.
Max says, THIS IS ME COMING THIRD IN GYMNASTICS CLUB. ZOE, CAN YOU DO GYMNASTICS?
Zoe says, UH, NO.
Max says, NOT EVEN A CARTWHEEL? EVERYONE CAN DO A CARTWHEEL! GO ON. TRY A CARTWHEEL.
Zoe says, UM. WELL, I MEAN.
Max says, GO ON.
Sighing, Zoe says, OKAY.
Max cheers, YES!
Max places the photo back on the mantel. Isadora takes a step back, and Zoe attempts a cartwheel. Zoe flips onto one hand, slips onto her feet, and stumbles onto the floor.
Zoe yelps, OH!
[Isadora gasping]
[Zoe grunting]
Zoe gives a thumbs up and says, I'M OKAY!
[Max giggling]
Max says, THAT WAS SO BAD!
[Max giggling]
Max says, THIS IS HOW YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO IT. MOVE.
Max steps between Zoe and Isadora and spreads his arms.
[Max sighing]
Max attempts a cartwheel. He tries to flip onto his hands and kicks his feet in the air.
[Max grunting]
Max stands. He smiles and tries again. He flips forward into a handstand and rolls onto his bottom on the rug.
[Max grunting]
Max stands and says, VOILA!
[Isadora clapping]
Isadora asks, ARE YOU OKAY, ZOE?
Isadora runs over to Zoe and offers her a hand.
Still on the floor, Zoe sighs, YEAH, FINE.
Isadora helps Zoe stand.
Max says, ZOE, LOOK!
Max runs over to the fish bowl.
Max says, THIS IS HERCULES. HE'S MY NEW GOLDFISH. ISN'T HE AMAZING? SEE HOW HE SWIMS IN A CIRCLE? I TAUGHT HIM HOW TO DO THAT.
Max’s goldfish, Hercules, swims in circles in front of a castle. Zoe stands by the fish bowl with Isadora. She crosses her arms and rolls her eyes.
Zoe says, WOW.
Max says, YOU DON'T HAVE A PET, DO YOU, ZOE?
Zoe says, UM.
Max says, HEY! MAYBE IF YOU'RE REALLY VERY CAREFUL, I COULD LET YOU TRY AND FEED HERCULES.
Max opens a jar of fish food and offers it to Zoe.
Zoe says, WELL, OKAY.
Zoe takes the jar from Max and smiles. She holds the jar over the fish bowl and tilts it toward the water.
[Max gasping]
Max says, NOT LIKE THAT!
Max takes the jar and says, JUST A LITTLE PINCH. FISH CAN DIE IF YOU OVERFEED THEM. WATCH ME.
Max sprinkles fish food into the palm of his hand.
Zoe says, FINE. YOU OBVIOUSLY KNOW BETTER.
Max drops the fish food into the fish bowl.
Max says, IT'S OKAY. YOU WOULDN'T KNOW. YOU DON'T HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH PETS.
[Zoe groaning]
Zoe clenches her fists.
[Zoe slowly exhaling]
Zoe says, ACTUALLY, I DO HAVE A PET.
Max and Isadora say, YOU DO!?
Max and Isadora look shocked.
Zoe says, YEP. I'VE GOT A KITTEN. AND IT CAN DO TRICKS.
Isadora quietly says to Zoe, YOU DON'T HAVE A KITTEN.
Zoe says, YES, A CUTE LITTLE KITTEN. IT'S CALLED ISADORA JUST LIKE MY BEST FRIEND. I BROUGHT IT WITH ME.
[Isadora gasping]
Isadora says, A KITTEN JUST LIKE ME?
[Max gasping]
Max says, I WANT TO SEE IT! WHERE IS IT?
Max looks around him.
Zoe says, JUST OUTSIDE. COME ON, ISADORA. LET'S GO AND GET IT.
Max looks excited. Zoe skips out of the room. Isadora slowly follows.
Isadora moans, OH.
In the entryway, Isadora closes the living room door.
Isadora quietly says, I'M REALLY NOT SURE ABOUT PRETENDING TO BE AN ACTUAL KITTEN.
Zoe says, PLEASE, ISADORA! DO IT FOR ME! IT'LL BE FUN!
Isadora says, UM…
Zoe says, ANYWAYS, MAX IS ALREADY EXPECTING A KITTEN. WE CAN'T LET HIM DOWN.
[Isadora sighing]
Isadora says, FINE.
Isadora closes her eyes.
[Isadora grunting]
Pink and purple sparkles shine around Isadora, and cat whiskers pop out of her cheeks. Isadora opens her eyes, and they disappear.
Isadora sighs, OH, I CAN'T.
Zoe says, OH, PLEASE, ISADORA! TRY AGAIN!
[Isadora sighing]
Isadora says, OKAY, FINE.
Isadora closes her eyes and clenches her fists.
[Isadora grunting]
A sparkly purple cloud wraps around Isadora, and she shapeshifts into her black and pink kitten self.
[Zoe gasping]
Zoe says, AWESOME!
Zoe picks up Isadora. Isadora looks unimpressed.
Zoe says, AND REMEMBER, ACTUAL KITTENS DON'T TALK.
As a kitten, Isadora says, ACTUAL KITTENS AREN'T PINK AND BLACK.
[Zoe giggling]
Zoe carries Isadora into the living room.
[Max gasping]
Max sets down the fish food and runs over to Zoe and Isadora.
Max says, WOW! IT'S SO CUTE!
Max frowns and asks, WHERE DID YOUR FRIEND GO?
Zoe says, SHE, UM, HAD TO GO.
Max says, OH.
Zoe says, BUT LOOK AT MY KITTEN.
Isadora says, MEOW!
Max says, I LOVE IT! GET HER TO DO SOME TRICKS!
Isadora quietly says, TRICKS?
Zoe frowns.
Isadora says, I MEAN, MEOW!
Zoe says, YEP. OF COURSE!
Zoe puts Isadora on the floor.
Zoe says, ISADORA, SIT.
Isadora sits.
Zoe says, LIE DOWN!
Isadora lies down.
Zoe says, BEG!
[Isadora groaning]
Isadora sits up and raises her right paw.
Max says, AMAZING! SHOW ME MORE!
Zoe says, OH, YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ANYTHING YET.
Isadora says, AH-HEM.
Zoe says, ISADORA, HOP!
[Zoe giggling]
[Isadora sighing]
Isadora hops on the spot.
Zoe says, CLAP YOUR PAWS!
Isadora claps her kitten paws.
Zoe says, SING!
[Zoe giggling]
Isadora raises an eyebrow.
Zoe says, GO ON! SING! PLEASE!
[Isadora sighing]
Isadora sings, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW.
Max claps his hands.
[Max giggling]
Max says, WOW! SHE SOUNDS ALMOST LIKE A REAL HUMAN PERSON! I WISH I HAD A PET AS COOL AS YOURS.
Zoe says, I DID THINK ABOUT GOING ON T.V., BUT I DIDN'T WANT THE HASSLE.
Max says, WAIT! LET ME GET SOMETHING.
Max leaves.
[Crashing]
Zoe and Isadora share a look. Max returns with a bag of chicken cat food.
Isadora says, HUH?
Max says, CAT FOOD! IT'S BEEN IN THE CUPBOARD SINCE GRANNY CAME TO STAY WITH HER CAT. IT'S BEEN A WHILE, BUT I'M SURE IT'S STILL FINE.
Max offers the bag to Isadora.
Isadora yelps, AH!
Isadora runs away and says, MEOW!
Isadora hides behind Zoe.
Max says, OH! WHY DOESN'T YOUR KITTEN LIKE MY CAT FOOD?
Zoe says, UM, IT'S BECAUSE…
Zoe takes a closer look at the bag.
Zoe says, THAT'S CHICKEN! MY KITTEN ONLY EATS FISH. BUT DON'T WORRY. SHE STILL HAS LOTS MORE TRICKS TO SHOW YOU. LIKE, UM, A CARTWHEEL!
Isadora says, MEOW?!
Max says, OH, YES! I TOTALLY WANT TO SEE THAT!
Zoe crouches beside Isadora and whispers, GO ON, ISADORA! SHOW MAX YOUR CARTWHEEL. PLEASE!
[Isadora groaning]
Isadora tries to stand on her front paws.
[Isadora grunting]
Isadora stands on her back paws and flips onto her front paws. She tries to cartwheel onto her back paws and slips.
[Isadora grunting]
Isadora yelps, WHOA!
Isadora falls into the table with the fish bowl. The table wobbles and water splashes out of the bowl onto the floor.
[Splashing]
[Zoe gasping]
The table steadies.
[Zoe sighing in relief]
Zoe says, OOPS!
Max says, UH-OH. I NEED TO MOP THIS UP.
Max leaves with the bag of cat food.
Zoe asks, ISADORA! ARE YOU OKAY?
Isadora says, I'M FINE, BUT I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF BEING YOUR KITTEN.
Zoe says, JUST A BIT LONGER, ISADORA. PLEASE!
In the entryway, Max throws open a closet. He reaches inside and tosses out a soccer ball.
Max says, NO! NOT THAT!
Max throws a dinosaur toy out of the closet.
[Dinosaur squeaking]
Max says, NOPE.
Max tosses out a watering can.
Max says, OH! THAT'S WHERE THAT WENT!
Max tosses out a sponge and pulls out a mop.
Max cheers, YES!
In the living room, Zoe says, THANKS, ISADORA. I KNEW I COULD COUNT ON YOU.
From close by, Max says, ZOE, YOU TALK TO YOUR KITTEN?
[Zoe gasping in surprise]
Max walks in with the mop and starts mopping the spilled water.
Max says, I TALK TO HERCULES, TOO. ISN'T HE AMAZING?
Max looks at the fish bowl and finds Hercules missing.
Max says, HUH?
[Max gasping]
Max drops the mop and says, HERCULES! HERCULES, WHERE ARE YOU?
Max looks around the room. Still a kitten, Isadora walks over to the fish bowl table and stands on her hind legs against one of the table legs.
[Max gasping]
Isadora raises an eyebrow.
Max points at Isadora and says, YOU! YOU ATE HERCULES!
Isadora says, MEOW?
At the same time, Zoe says, WHAT?
Max says, YOU SAID YOUR KITTEN ONLY EATS FISH!
Zoe says, NOT GOLDFISH!
Max says, IF YOUR CAT DIDN'T EAT HERCULES, WHERE IS HE?
Max bursts into tears.
[Max crying]
Max sobs, HERCULES! I LOVED HIM SO MUCH!
Zoe and Isadora share a look. Zoe walks over to Max and lays her hand on his shoulder.
Zoe says, I'M SURE HE'S OKAY, MAX.
[Max crying]
Max pulls away from Zoe.
Max says, LEAVE ME ALONE. I DON'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOU OR YOUR HORRIBLE GOLDFISH-EATING KITTEN.
[Max crying]
Isadora hugs herself with one of her front legs.
Zoe says, REALLY, MAX. ISADORA DIDN'T EAT HERCULES.
Max asks, HOW CAN YOU KNOW?
[Max crying]
[Isadora sighing]
[Isadora grunting]
Pink and purple sparkles shine around Isadora. A purple cloud wraps around her, and she shapeshifts back into her regular fairy-vampire self. Max stops crying and looks at Isadora.
Max says, HUH?
Isadora smiles and says, BECAUSE I'M ZOE'S KITTEN.
Max says, WAIT. WHAT?!
Zoe says, SO, YEAH. ISADORA CAN SHAPESHIFT.
Max says, SHAPE WHAT?
Zoe says, SHE CAN TURN INTO A KITTEN.
Isadora says, I'M A FAIRY-VAMPIRE.
Isadora flaps her wings.
Max asks, FAIRY-VAMPIRE? WHAT EVEN IS THAT?
Zoe says, HALF FAIRY, HALF VAMPIRE.
Isadora says, BUT THAT STILL DOESN'T EXPLAIN WHAT'S HAPPENED TO –
Isadora looks inside the fish bowl castle and says, HUH?
[Isadora gasping]
Hercules swims out of the castle.
Isadora says, LOOK! HERCULES! HE'S RIGHT THERE IN THE LITTLE CASTLE!
[Max gasping]
Max says, HE IS?
Hercules swims in circles.
Max says, HERCULES! THERE YOU ARE!
Isadora says, HE WAS JUST HIDING.
Max scratches the back of his head.
Max says, YEAH, HE DOES THAT SOMETIMES. BUT ANYWAY, YOU CAN TURN INTO A KITTEN! THAT'S SO AMAZING.
Zoe says, SHE IS PRETTY AMAZING, ISN'T SHE?
Max says, I WISH I HAD AN AMAZING FAIRY-VAMPIRE FRIEND, TOO. YOU'RE SO LUCKY, ZOE. I JUST WANT TO BE AWESOME LIKE YOU.
Zoe says, YOU WANT TO BE LIKE ME?
Max says, TOTALLY! I ALWAYS TRY TO TELL YOU ABOUT MY STUFF, AND NOW I GET WHY YOU'RE NOT REALLY INTERESTED. I'M SO BORING COMPARED WITH A FRIEND WHO CAN TURN INTO A KITTEN.
Zoe says, OH, MAX! I DON'T THINK YOU'RE BORING. I DON'T NEED YOU TO TRY AND IMPRESS ME. I THINK YOU'RE GREAT JUST THE WAY YOU ARE.
Max says, WOW. THANKS, ZOE! MAYBE YOU AND ISADORA COULD COME AROUND AND PLAY AGAIN TOMORROW.
Zoe says, SURE!
Max says, AND ISADORA COULD TURN INTO A KITTEN AGAIN AND DO MORE TRICKS.
[Isadora gasping]
[Zoe giggling]
Zoe steps between Max and Isadora.
Zoe says, THAT WOULD BE UP TO ISADORA.
Isadora smiles.
Zoe says, YOU KNOW, MAX. YOU'RE RIGHT ABOUT ONE THING. I DO HAVE AN AMAZING FRIEND. AND I SHOULD DEFINITELY NOT ASK HER TO BE A KITTEN WHEN SHE DOESN'T WANT TO.
Max smiles.
Zoe lowers her gaze and says, SORRY.
Isadora says, AWE! THANKS, ZOE.
[Isadora giggling]
Isadora says, IT WAS KIND OF FUNNY.
[Isadora and Zoe giggling]
Isadora and Zoe share a hug.
Zoe says, YOUR FACE WHEN MAX TRIED TO MAKE YOU EAT THAT CAT FOOD.
[Zoe giggling]
[Isadora groaning]
Max watches Hercules swim around the fish bowl.
[Isadora and Zoe giggling]
Zoe turns to Max and says, SO, WANT TO TEACH US SOME PIANO? I THINK BOTH OF US WOULD LOVE A LESSON.
Max says, COOL! LET ME SHOW YOU SOME STUFF!
Zoe and Isadora follow Max to the piano. Max hops onto the bench and begins to play.
[Playful piano music plays]
Zoe says, GOOD ONE, MAX! LET ME TRY.
Zoe sits on the bench beside Max and starts playing.
Max says, YEAH! AWESOME, ZOE!
Isadora taps her foot to the music.
Isadora says, WATCH THIS!
Isadora stands beside the bench and plays the piano with Max and Zoe.
[Piano music continues]
[Isadora giggling]
Max says, HA! BRILLIANT, ISADORA!
Isadora cheers, WHOO-HOO!
[Isadora, Zoe and Max giggling]
[Piano music continues]
[Upbeat music plays]
