Isadora spins and waves her star wand.
The singer sings, WAVING MY WAND, FLYING FEARLESSLY, YEAH IT'S YOUR GIRL, ISADORA.
Isadora’s fairy mom, Cordelia, and vampire dad, Bartholomew, join Isadora. Cordelia has long, wavy pink hair, pointy ears and green wings. She wears a flower crown and a green cardigan over a pink dress. Bartholomew has short black hair and wears a black and purple cape with a striped, grey suit vest.
The singer sings, A LITTLE BIT OF BOTH. HALF A VAMPIRE, HALF A FAIRY.
Isadora flies over her neighbourhood with Pink Rabbit, a stuffed toy that comes to life.
The singer sings, READY FOR A NEW EXCITING JOURNEY!

At school, Miss Cherry says, NOW, BEFORE YOU GO OFF FOR THE WEEKEND, I KNOW YOU'RE ALL GOING TO BE EXCITED TO LEARN WE ARE HAVING A CAKE BAKING COMPETITION!
Miss Cherry stands in front of her desk facing her class.
[Students cheering]
Isadora and her friends, Zoe, Sashi, J.J. and Oliver look excited.
J.J. says, I LOVE BAKING!
Oliver says, ME TOO!
Miss Cherry says, AND THE FIRST PRIZE WILL BE TWO TICKETS TO WATCH THE FINALE OF THE T.V. SHOW SPONGE AND SPRINKLES!
Miss Cherry holds up two gold tickets and steps aside to reveal a poster of Whippy McFluff standing beside a cake and holding up a whisk.
[Students gasping]
[Zoe squealing]
Zoe says, THE BAKING SHOW WITH WHIPPY MCFLUFF! I LOVE HER!
Zoe stands and faces the class.
Zoe says, "HI, I'M WHIPPY MCFLUFF. EVERYONE LIKES TO BAKE FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION. SO..."
The rest of the students say, “LET'S BAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.”
[Everyone giggling]
Miss Cherry says, OKAY, SETTLE DOWN. I SUGGEST YOU WORK WITH A PARTNER AND BRING YOUR CAKES IN ON MONDAY MORNING.
[Some students cheering]
Zoe returns to her seat and says, I'M WITH YOU, ISADORA.
Zoe and Isadora cheer, YAY!
[Isadora and Zoe giggling]
Oliver and J.J. frown.
Oliver smiles and says, J.J., LET'S MAKE A STRAWBERRY CAKE!
J.J. smiles and says, A STRAWBERRY DINOSAUR WITH CRUNCHY CLAWS AND TEETH!
[J.J. growling]
Oliver frowns and says, UM, DOES IT HAVE TO TASTE LIKE A DINOSAUR?
J.J. says, YEAH
Zoe says, EW!
Zoe and Isadora cringe.
Zoe says, OURS IS GOING TO TASTE OF RAINBOWS AND HAPPINESS. WE ARE SO GOING TO WIN!
Oliver says, NO WAY. WE ARE GOING TO WIN.
Oliver crosses his arms, and J.J. nods.
Zoe says, NO, I THINK YOU'LL FIND WE'RE GOING TO WIN!
J.J. says, NO, WE ARE! WINNER, WINNER, DINO DINNER.
[Oliver and J.J. giggling]
Zoe says, to Isadora, OUR CAKE IS DEFINITELY GOING TO WIN.
At Zoe’s apartment, the sun shines bright.
[Isadora and Zoe giggling]
[Isadora sighing]
Inside, Isadora says, AH, OKAY.
In the kitchen, Isadora and Zoe stand behind the island counter with baking ingredients and tools, including a carton of eggs, a mixing bowl and a rolling pin. Isadora and Zoe frown at a drooping cake with icing spilling out from between the two layers.
Zoe says, UH, LOOKS LIKE A SAD TORTOISE.
Isadora says, OH.
Zoe asks, WHAT IF YOU DID A TEENY BIT OF MAGIC TO MAKE IT BIGGER?
Isadora asks, ISN'T THAT CHEATING?
Zoe says, NO! IT'LL ONLY BE LIKE WE USED MORE INGREDIENTS!
Isadora says, OKAY. I SUPPOSE.
Isadora pulls out her pink fairy star wand and smiles.
Zoe cheers, YAY!
Isadora taps the cake with her wand, and pink and purple shimmering stars sparkle. Pink light warps around the cake, and it wobbles.
[Zoe giggling]
A purple cloud explodes into the kitchen and turns the cake giant.
Isadora and Zoe yelp, WHOA!
The giant cake fills the kitchen and presses Isadora and Zoe against the wall.
With her cheeks squished, Zoe says, SMELLS GOOD. MIGHT BE A BIT BIG.
Isadora says, YOU THINK? HOLD ON.
Isadora pulls her arm free and waves her wand. A purple cloud wraps around the cake and turns it into a regular-sized, levelled three-tiered cake with red and white icing between the layers.
Zoe says, YES! THAT'S MORE LIKE IT. NOW LET'S MAKE THIS CAKE A WINNER!
Later, at the island, white icing covered with rainbow sprinkles drips down the cake. Zoe frowns as Isadora places a cherry on top of the cake.
Isadora says, TA-DA! WE BAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE!
Zoe says, YES, BUT WILL IT BE GOOD ENOUGH TO BEAT J.J. AND OLIVER'S DINOSAUR CAKE?
Isadora says, I DON'T KNOW, BUT WE DID OUR BEST.
Zoe says, DID WE THOUGH? DON'T YOU THINK IT NEEDS MORE RAINBOWS AND SPARKLES?
Isadora says, BUT WE DON'T HAVE ANY.
Zoe says, YOU HAVE A MAGIC WAND THOUGH!
Isadora says, I GUESS RAINBOWS WOULD LOOK NICE.
Zoe says, THEY WOULD! GO ON!
Isadora waves her wand toward the cake. A purple cloud wraps around it and turns it into a fully iced cake with rainbow sprinkles and a rainbow cake topper.
[Zoe gasping]
Zoe says, THAT'S AMAZING! YOU'RE AMAZING! JUST A FEW MORE SPARKLES?
Isadora frowns and says, I'M SURE THAT'S CHEATING.
Zoe says, NO, WE'RE JUST BEING CREATIVE! THAT'S WHAT BAKING'S ALL ABOUT.
[Isadora sighing]
Isadora says, OKAY. JUST A FEW MORE SPARKLES.
Isadora waves her wand, and a purple cloud poofs out from the cake.
Zoe says, AMAZING! YOU'RE THE BEST, ISADORA! MORE RAINBOWS!
Isadora frowns.
Zoe adds, PLEASE?
Isadora says, FINE.
Isadora waves her wand and a purple cloud fades to reveal a cake with purple ball candies and red heart candies on top of the cake, with rainbows wrapped around the bottom and piping around the middle.
[Zoe gasping]
Zoe sings, OH YEAH. OH YEAH. WE'RE GONNA WIN. WE'RE GONNA WIN.
Isadora frowns.
[Zoe giggling]
Zoe says, MAKE IT BIGGER! MORE SPARKLES!
[Zoe giggling]
Isadora says, REALLY?
Zoe says, NO POINT IN STOPPING NOW!
[Isadora sighing]
Isadora waves her wand, and a second tier appears on the cake with more sparkles and cherries.
Zoe says, NICE! SOME MORE JUST THERE!
Zoe points toward the cake. Isadora waves her wand, and Zoe takes a step back.
Zoe says, JUST ONCE MORE? A TEENY BIT MORE SPARKLY OVER HERE!
Zoe points toward the cake.
[Zoe giggling]
Isadora says, WHAT?
Zoe begs, PLEASE!
Isadora says, THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE TOTAL LAST TIME THOUGH.
Zoe says, ABSO-DEFO-LUTELY!
Isadora waves her wand. A sparkly purple cloud fades to reveal the final cake. White piped icing decorates the four purple tiers. Pink ribbons decorate the bottom tier, hearts decorate the second tier, rainbows decorate the third tier, and flowers decorate the fourth, top tier. Star toppers and a big rainbow topper decorate the top. Magic pink sparkles shimmer around the cake.
Zoe says, IT'S, IT'S, I HAVE NO WORDS.
Zoe hugs Isadora and says, WE ARE DEFINITELY GOING TO WIN!
[Zoe giggling]
[Isadora sighing]
A man with short black hair wearing a teal blazer over a dark purple sweater walks into the kitchen.
The man says, WHOA! WHAT A SENSATIONAL CAKE! I DIDN'T REALIZE WE HAD ALL THAT GLITTERY RAINBOW STUFF IN THE CUPBOARD. WELL DONE!
Zoe smiles and says, THANKS, DAD.
Isadora frowns and says, YEAH, THANKS.
Zoe’s dad says, RIGHT, GIRLS. 10 MORE MINUTES AND THEN IT'S TIME FOR BED.
Zoe says, OKAY, DAD!
Zoe’s dad leaves.
Zoe says, ISADORA, WE DID IT! SPONGE AND SPRINKLES, HERE WE COME!
Isadora says, ZOE, I DON'T THINK WE SHOULD ENTER OUR CAKE IN THE COMPETITION.
Zoe says, WHAT? WHY? WE'RE GOING TO WIN!
Isadora says, I DON'T THINK WE SHOULD WIN BY USING MAGIC. IT'S CHEATING.
Zoe says, WE ONLY USED A BIT OF MAGIC.
Isadora says, IT WAS MORE THAN BIT. LOOK AT IT!
Isadora flies around the giant, sparkling cake.
[Triumphant music sting plays]
Zoe says, AMAZING! ISN'T IT?
[Isadora sighing]
Zoe frowns. She runs up to Isadora and puts her hands together.
Zoe says, ISADORA, WE HAVE TO ENTER THE CAKE! YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE WHIPPY MCFLUFF. PLEASE!
Zoe drops to her knees and gazes up at Isadora hopefully.
[Isadora sighing]
Zoe smiles.
Isadora says, FINE.
Zoe squeals, WEE!
[Zoe giggling]
At night, Zoe lies asleep in her bed.
[Zoe softly snoring]
In her purple bat pyjamas, Isadora sits in a chair in a corner of the room and watches Zoe.
[Isadora sighing]
[Whooshing]
Bartholomew flies by the open window and spots Isadora in the chair. He pokes his head through the window.
Bartholomew quietly says, YOO-HOO!
[Isadora gasping]
Isadora jumps in surprise and looks at Bartholomew.
Bartholomew quietly says, ISADORA!
Isadora walks over to the window and says, DAD! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?
Bartholomew says, JUST A FRIENDLY FLY-BY TO SEE HOW THE SLEEPOVER'S GOING.
Isadora shrugs and says, I CAN'T SLEEP.
Bartholomew says, EXCELLENT! AH, THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING A VAMPIRE.
Isadora says, DAD! IT'S NOT! I CAN'T SLEEP BECAUSE, WELL...
Isadora turns away from the window.
Bartholomew says, OH NO. SOMETHING'S TROUBLING YOU. WHY DON'T YOU COME FOR A FLY WITH ME AND WE CAN TALK ABOUT IT?
Isadora smiles and says, THANKS, DAD.
In the sky, Isadora and Bartholomew fly over the neighbourhood.
Isadora grins and cheers, WHOO-HOO!
Isadora does a loop-de-loop. She lands on a nearby rooftop and sits beside Bartholomew. Her smile falls.
Isadora says, YOU SEE, DAD, I THINK USING MAGIC TO WIN IS CHEATING. BUT ZOE REALLY WANTS TO MEET WHIPPY MCFLUFF.
Bartholomew says, NOT THE WHIPPY MCFLUFF?! OH, SHE'S FANTASTIC!
Imitating Whippy, Bartholomew says, "LET'S BAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE!"
Isadora says, DAD! YOU'RE MISSING THE POINT! WE SHOULDN'T HAVE USED MAGIC. SOMETIMES I WISH I WAS JUST HUMAN AND COULDN'T EVEN DO FAIRY MAGIC.
Isadora rests her elbows on her knees and her head on her hands. Bartholomew puts his arm around her.
[Bartholomew sighing]
Bartholomew says, SOMETIMES DOING THE RIGHT THING IS HARDER THAN DOING THE WRONG THING. NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE. FAIRY, VAMPIRE, OR HUMAN.
Isadora says, I DO WANT TO DO THE RIGHT THING, EVEN IF IT'S HARD.
Isadora smiles and says, I'M GOING TO TELL ZOE TOMORROW. THANKS, DAD.
Isadora and Bartholomew hug each other.
Bartholomew says, NO PROBLEM, MY DARLING. NOW GO AND…
Imitating Whippy, Bartholomew says, …“BAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.”
Isadora says, OH, DAD.
[Isadora giggling]
On a new day, the sun shines outside Zoe’s apartment.
[Zoe giggling]
Isadora follows Zoe into the kitchen, where their magic cake continues to sparkle.
Zoe says, WE CAN'T LOSE. THIS CAKE IS A WINNER!
Isadora says, ZOE, I DON'T WANT US TO ENTER THIS CAKE IN THE COMPETITION.
[Zoe laughing]
Zoe says, YOU'RE FUNNY, ISADORA.
Isadora says, NO, I MEAN IT. WE CAN'T ENTER A MAGIC CAKE! IT'S CHEATING.
Zoe says, BUT I THOUGHT WE AGREED.
Isadora says, IT WON'T BE FAIR TO EVERYONE ELSE IF WE WIN USING MAGIC.
Zoe says, BUT THEN WE WON'T GET A CHANCE TO SEE WHIPPY MCFLUFF!
Isadora looks thoughtful.
Isadora smiles and says, HMM. WE MIGHT. LET'S BAKE ANOTHER CAKE, BUT THIS TIME WITHOUT MAGIC.
Zoe sighs, OKAY.
Later, a level, three-tier cake sits on the island beside the magic cake. It has white icing on the top and red and white icing between the layers. Three cherries and rainbow sprinkles decorate the top of the cake. Zoe and Isadora admire their work.
Isadora says, IT'S PERFECT!
Zoe asks, HOW ABOUT JUST A FEW TEENSY-WEENSY MAGIC SPRINKLES?
[Isadora giggling]
Isadora says, NO, BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS YOU AND YOUR DAD CAN EAT THE MAGIC CAKE!
[Zoe’s dad gasping]
Zoe’s dad steps into the kitchen.
Zoe’s dad asks, DID SOMEONE SAY CAKE?
Zoe frowns.
[Isadora giggling]
At school, droopy cakes line Miss Cherry’s desk. Teal candies stick out of a chocolate cake. An ice cream cone sticks out of a cake with pink and purple icing.
[Students giggling]
Oliver and J.J. place a well-decorated green dinosaur cake on the desk. The dinosaur is smiling and has sprinkles on its head.
Someone says, WOW!
Isadora says, OOH, THAT'S GOOD!
J.J. says, DOESN'T EVEN TASTE LIKE DINOSAUR THOUGH.
Sashi says, ACTUALLY, NO ONE'S EVER TASTED A DINOSAUR BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T ALIVE AT THE SAME TIME AS PEOPLE. SO IT MIGHT BE A T-REX FLAVOUR.
Oliver says, ACTUALLY, IT'S TRICERATOPS FLAVOUR.
Miss Cherry says, WELL, IT LOOKS DELICIOUS. NOW, ISADORA, WHERE'S YOUR AND ZOE'S CAKE?
From close by, Zoe says, IT'S HERE!
[Zoe giggling]
[Students gasping]
Zoe stands at the door with the sparkling magic cake on a cart.
Zoe says, TA-DA!
Someone says, WOW!
Someone else says, AMAZING!
Isadora frowns and says, OH NO.
Zoe pushes the cake into the room.
Someone says, OH, IT SPARKLES!
Someone else says, WOW!
Miss Cherry says, OH MY WORD.
Zoe says to Isadora, THIS ONE WAS SO MUCH BETTER! PLEASE DON'T BE CROSS.
Miss Cherry says, RIGHT. NOW ALL THE CAKES ARE IN, IT'S TIME FOR THE RESULTS.
Isadora and Zoe take their seats in the front row. Sashi sits behind them. Zoe looks excited. Isadora looks stressed.
[Isadora sighing]
Miss Cherry says, I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE SPECIAL MENTION OF J.J. AND OLIVER'S LOVELY DINOSAUR CAKE. I PARTICULARLY LOVE ITS BIG TUMMY.
J.J. says, THAT'S 'CAUSE HE'S JUST EATEN A CAVEMAN! NOM-NOM-NOM.
J.J. rubs his belly. Sashi walks over to his and Oliver’s table.
Sashi says, ACTUALLY, IT CAN'T EAT A CAVEMAN BECAUSE DINOSAURS WEREN'T ALIVE AT THE…
J.J. and Oliver finish Sahi’s sentence with her.
J.J., Olivier and Sashi say, …SAME TIME AS PEOPLE.
J.J. and Oliver say, WE KNOW.
J.J., Oliver and Sashi giggling]
Miss Cherry says, BUT I WAS EVEN MORE IMPRESSED WITH ALL THE HARD WORK THAT WENT INTO THE WINNING CAKE, WHICH IS, DRUM ROLL PLEASE...
The students bang on their desks. Isadora stares at her hands.
[Desk banging drumroll]
Miss Cherry announces, ISADORA AND ZOE'S SPARKLY RAINBOW CAKE! YEAH!
Sashi cheers, YAY!
Oliver says, THAT'S AMAZING!
[Zoe giggling]
Zoe and Isadora get up from their seats.
[Students giggling]
Miss Cherry says, AND HERE ARE YOUR TICKETS TO THE FINAL OF SPONGE AND SPRINKLES!
In front of the class, Miss Cherry gives Isadora and Zoe their tickets.
Isadora briefly smiles and says, THANK YOU.
Zoe says, THANK YOU!
[Zoe giggling with excitement]
Isadora glances at Zoe.
Miss Cherry says, WELL DONE TO YOU BOTH! I SO APPRECIATE ALL YOUR HARD WORK. HOW ON EARTH DID YOU DO IT?
Zoe says, UM, WE JUST WORKED REALLY HARD, DIDN'T WE, ISADORA?
[Isadora sighing]
Isadora walks away. Zoe frowns and follows.
Miss Cherry says, I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO TASTING YOUR LOVELY CREATIONS LATER. BUT FIRST, WHO'S UP FOR A DELICIOUS HISTORY TEST?
Isadora and Zoe return to their seats. Isadora drops her ticket on her desk and crosses her arms.
[J.J. and Oliver groaning]
Sashi eagerly says, ME!
Zoe whispers, ISADORA? ISADORA?
Isadora turns away from Zoe. Zoe looks between her ticket and Isadora.
Zoe says, MISS CHERRY?
Miss Cherry says, YES, ZOE?
Zoe walks up to the front of the class with her ticket.
Zoe says, I'M SORRY, MISS CHERRY, BUT WE CAN'T TAKE THE SPONGE AND SPRINKLES TICKETS.
Zoe gives her ticket back to Miss Cherry and lowers her gaze.
Miss Cherry asks, WHY ON EARTH NOT?
J.J. and Oliver say, HUH?
Zoe says, BECAUSE WE DIDN'T WIN FAIRLY. I PERSUADED ISADORA TO DO MAGIC ON OUR CAKE. THAT'S WHY IT LOOKS SO AMAZING.
[Sashi gasping]
Sashi says, REALLY?
Isadora smiles.
[J.J. and Oliver gasping]
Oliver says, WHAT?
J.J. says, AW.
Oliver says, OH NO.
Zoe says, ISADORA DIDN'T WANT TO BECAUSE SHE KNEW IT WAS CHEATING. BUT I BEGGED HER BECAUSE I LOVE WHIPPY MCFLUFF AND IT'S ALL MY FAULT.
Isadora joins Zoe at the front of the class with her ticket.
Zoe says, I'M REALLY SORRY.
Miss Cherry says, OH DEAR.
Isadora gives her ticket back to Miss Cherry.
Miss Cherry asks, OH DEAR. IS THIS TRUE, ISADORA?
Isadora lowers her gaze and nods.
Miss Cherry says, WELL, I'M DISAPPOINTED THAT YOU CHEATED, BUT I'M VERY PLEASED THAT YOU DECIDED TO OWN UP. THANK YOU.
Isadora and Zoe smile.
Miss Cherry says, DOING THE RIGHT THING CAN BE HARD. WELL, NOW. WHAT TO DO WITH THE TICKETS? THIS IS A CAKEY CONUNDRUM.
Isadora says, NO, IT ISN'T! J.J. AND OLIVER'S DINOSAUR CAKE WAS THE BEST! THEY SHOULD GET THE TICKETS.
[J.J. gasping]
J.J. says, REALLY?
Zoe says, YES, THEY SHOULD! AND THAT MEANS I STILL WIN FIRST PRIZE!
Isadora says, YOU DO?
Zoe says, YES. HAVING MY FRIEND BACK.
Zoe hugs Isadora.
Isadora says, AWW!
[Zoe giggling]
Isadora says, DAD WAS RIGHT. DOING THE RIGHT THING IS HARD FOR FAIRY VAMPIRES AND HUMANS, BUT IT FEELS GOOD.
Miss Cherry says, WELL, AS A REWARD FOR DOING THE RIGHT THING, PERHAPS A LITTLE CAKEY TREAT IS IN ORDER?
J.J. runs up to the front of the class.
[J.J. gasping]
J.J. says, I GET TO EAT CAKE WHEN IT ISN'T EVEN MY BIRTHDAY? YES! A BIG SLICE OF DINOSAUR FOR ME, PLEASE!
J.J. rubs his belly.
[Students giggling ]

Miss Cherry stands in front of her desk facing her class.
[Students cheering]
Isadora and her friends, Zoe, Sashi, J.J. and Oliver look excited.
J.J. says, I LOVE BAKING!
Oliver says, ME TOO!
Miss Cherry says, AND THE FIRST PRIZE WILL BE TWO TICKETS TO WATCH THE FINALE OF THE T.V. SHOW SPONGE AND SPRINKLES!
Miss Cherry holds up two gold tickets and steps aside to reveal a poster of Whippy McFluff standing beside a cake and holding up a whisk.
[Students gasping]
[Zoe squealing]
Zoe says, THE BAKING SHOW WITH WHIPPY MCFLUFF! I LOVE HER!
Zoe stands and faces the class.
Zoe says, "HI, I'M WHIPPY MCFLUFF. EVERYONE LIKES TO BAKE FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION. SO..."
The rest of the students say, “LET'S BAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.”
[Everyone giggling]
Miss Cherry says, OKAY, SETTLE DOWN. I SUGGEST YOU WORK WITH A PARTNER AND BRING YOUR CAKES IN ON MONDAY MORNING.
[Some students cheering]
Zoe returns to her seat and says, I'M WITH YOU, ISADORA.
Zoe and Isadora cheer, YAY!
[Isadora and Zoe giggling]
Oliver and J.J. frown.
Oliver smiles and says, J.J., LET'S MAKE A STRAWBERRY CAKE!
J.J. smiles and says, A STRAWBERRY DINOSAUR WITH CRUNCHY CLAWS AND TEETH!
[J.J. growling]
Oliver frowns and says, UM, DOES IT HAVE TO TASTE LIKE A DINOSAUR?
J.J. says, YEAH
Zoe says, EW!
Zoe and Isadora cringe.
Zoe says, OURS IS GOING TO TASTE OF RAINBOWS AND HAPPINESS. WE ARE SO GOING TO WIN!
Oliver says, NO WAY. WE ARE GOING TO WIN.
Oliver crosses his arms, and J.J. nods.
Zoe says, NO, I THINK YOU'LL FIND WE'RE GOING TO WIN!
J.J. says, NO, WE ARE! WINNER, WINNER, DINO DINNER.
[Oliver and J.J. giggling]
Zoe says, to Isadora, OUR CAKE IS DEFINITELY GOING TO WIN.
At Zoe’s apartment, the sun shines bright.
[Isadora and Zoe giggling]
[Isadora sighing]
Inside, Isadora says, AH, OKAY.
In the kitchen, Isadora and Zoe stand behind the island counter with baking ingredients and tools, including a carton of eggs, a mixing bowl and a rolling pin. Isadora and Zoe frown at a drooping cake with icing spilling out from between the two layers.
Zoe says, UH, LOOKS LIKE A SAD TORTOISE.
Isadora says, OH.
Zoe asks, WHAT IF YOU DID A TEENY BIT OF MAGIC TO MAKE IT BIGGER?
Isadora asks, ISN'T THAT CHEATING?
Zoe says, NO! IT'LL ONLY BE LIKE WE USED MORE INGREDIENTS!
Isadora says, OKAY. I SUPPOSE.
Isadora pulls out her pink fairy star wand and smiles.
Zoe cheers, YAY!
Isadora taps the cake with her wand, and pink and purple shimmering stars sparkle. Pink light warps around the cake, and it wobbles.
[Zoe giggling]
A purple cloud explodes into the kitchen and turns the cake giant.
Isadora and Zoe yelp, WHOA!
The giant cake fills the kitchen and presses Isadora and Zoe against the wall.
With her cheeks squished, Zoe says, SMELLS GOOD. MIGHT BE A BIT BIG.
Isadora says, YOU THINK? HOLD ON.
Isadora pulls her arm free and waves her wand. A purple cloud wraps around the cake and turns it into a regular-sized, levelled three-tiered cake with red and white icing between the layers.
Zoe says, YES! THAT'S MORE LIKE IT. NOW LET'S MAKE THIS CAKE A WINNER!
Later, at the island, white icing covered with rainbow sprinkles drips down the cake. Zoe frowns as Isadora places a cherry on top of the cake.
Isadora says, TA-DA! WE BAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE!
Zoe says, YES, BUT WILL IT BE GOOD ENOUGH TO BEAT J.J. AND OLIVER'S DINOSAUR CAKE?
Isadora says, I DON'T KNOW, BUT WE DID OUR BEST.
Zoe says, DID WE THOUGH? DON'T YOU THINK IT NEEDS MORE RAINBOWS AND SPARKLES?
Isadora says, BUT WE DON'T HAVE ANY.
Zoe says, YOU HAVE A MAGIC WAND THOUGH!
Isadora says, I GUESS RAINBOWS WOULD LOOK NICE.
Zoe says, THEY WOULD! GO ON!
Isadora waves her wand toward the cake. A purple cloud wraps around it and turns it into a fully iced cake with rainbow sprinkles and a rainbow cake topper.
[Zoe gasping]
Zoe says, THAT'S AMAZING! YOU'RE AMAZING! JUST A FEW MORE SPARKLES?
Isadora frowns and says, I'M SURE THAT'S CHEATING.
Zoe says, NO, WE'RE JUST BEING CREATIVE! THAT'S WHAT BAKING'S ALL ABOUT.
[Isadora sighing]
Isadora says, OKAY. JUST A FEW MORE SPARKLES.
Isadora waves her wand, and a purple cloud poofs out from the cake.
Zoe says, AMAZING! YOU'RE THE BEST, ISADORA! MORE RAINBOWS!
Isadora frowns.
Zoe adds, PLEASE?
Isadora says, FINE.
Isadora waves her wand and a purple cloud fades to reveal a cake with purple ball candies and red heart candies on top of the cake, with rainbows wrapped around the bottom and piping around the middle.
[Zoe gasping]
Zoe sings, OH YEAH. OH YEAH. WE'RE GONNA WIN. WE'RE GONNA WIN.
Isadora frowns.
[Zoe giggling]
Zoe says, MAKE IT BIGGER! MORE SPARKLES!
[Zoe giggling]
Isadora says, REALLY?
Zoe says, NO POINT IN STOPPING NOW!
[Isadora sighing]
Isadora waves her wand, and a second tier appears on the cake with more sparkles and cherries.
Zoe says, NICE! SOME MORE JUST THERE!
Zoe points toward the cake. Isadora waves her wand, and Zoe takes a step back.
Zoe says, JUST ONCE MORE? A TEENY BIT MORE SPARKLY OVER HERE!
Zoe points toward the cake.
[Zoe giggling]
Isadora says, WHAT?
Zoe begs, PLEASE!
Isadora says, THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE TOTAL LAST TIME THOUGH.
Zoe says, ABSO-DEFO-LUTELY!
Isadora waves her wand. A sparkly purple cloud fades to reveal the final cake. White piped icing decorates the four purple tiers. Pink ribbons decorate the bottom tier, hearts decorate the second tier, rainbows decorate the third tier, and flowers decorate the fourth, top tier. Star toppers and a big rainbow topper decorate the top. Magic pink sparkles shimmer around the cake.
Zoe says, IT'S, IT'S, I HAVE NO WORDS.
Zoe hugs Isadora and says, WE ARE DEFINITELY GOING TO WIN!
[Zoe giggling]
[Isadora sighing]
A man with short black hair wearing a teal blazer over a dark purple sweater walks into the kitchen.
The man says, WHOA! WHAT A SENSATIONAL CAKE! I DIDN'T REALIZE WE HAD ALL THAT GLITTERY RAINBOW STUFF IN THE CUPBOARD. WELL DONE!
Zoe smiles and says, THANKS, DAD.
Isadora frowns and says, YEAH, THANKS.
Zoe’s dad says, RIGHT, GIRLS. 10 MORE MINUTES AND THEN IT'S TIME FOR BED.
Zoe says, OKAY, DAD!
Zoe’s dad leaves.
Zoe says, ISADORA, WE DID IT! SPONGE AND SPRINKLES, HERE WE COME!
Isadora says, ZOE, I DON'T THINK WE SHOULD ENTER OUR CAKE IN THE COMPETITION.
Zoe says, WHAT? WHY? WE'RE GOING TO WIN!
Isadora says, I DON'T THINK WE SHOULD WIN BY USING MAGIC. IT'S CHEATING.
Zoe says, WE ONLY USED A BIT OF MAGIC.
Isadora says, IT WAS MORE THAN BIT. LOOK AT IT!
Isadora flies around the giant, sparkling cake.
[Triumphant music sting plays]
Zoe says, AMAZING! ISN'T IT?
[Isadora sighing]
Zoe frowns. She runs up to Isadora and puts her hands together.
Zoe says, ISADORA, WE HAVE TO ENTER THE CAKE! YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE WHIPPY MCFLUFF. PLEASE!
Zoe drops to her knees and gazes up at Isadora hopefully.
[Isadora sighing]
Zoe smiles.
Isadora says, FINE.
Zoe squeals, WEE!
[Zoe giggling]
At night, Zoe lies asleep in her bed.
[Zoe softly snoring]
In her purple bat pyjamas, Isadora sits in a chair in a corner of the room and watches Zoe.
[Isadora sighing]
[Whooshing]
Bartholomew flies by the open window and spots Isadora in the chair. He pokes his head through the window.
Bartholomew quietly says, YOO-HOO!
[Isadora gasping]
Isadora jumps in surprise and looks at Bartholomew.
Bartholomew quietly says, ISADORA!
Isadora walks over to the window and says, DAD! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?
Bartholomew says, JUST A FRIENDLY FLY-BY TO SEE HOW THE SLEEPOVER'S GOING.
Isadora shrugs and says, I CAN'T SLEEP.
Bartholomew says, EXCELLENT! AH, THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING A VAMPIRE.
Isadora says, DAD! IT'S NOT! I CAN'T SLEEP BECAUSE, WELL...
Isadora turns away from the window.
Bartholomew says, OH NO. SOMETHING'S TROUBLING YOU. WHY DON'T YOU COME FOR A FLY WITH ME AND WE CAN TALK ABOUT IT?
Isadora smiles and says, THANKS, DAD.
In the sky, Isadora and Bartholomew fly over the neighbourhood.
Isadora grins and cheers, WHOO-HOO!
Isadora does a loop-de-loop. She lands on a nearby rooftop and sits beside Bartholomew. Her smile falls.
Isadora says, YOU SEE, DAD, I THINK USING MAGIC TO WIN IS CHEATING. BUT ZOE REALLY WANTS TO MEET WHIPPY MCFLUFF.
Bartholomew says, NOT THE WHIPPY MCFLUFF?! OH, SHE'S FANTASTIC!
Imitating Whippy, Bartholomew says, "LET'S BAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE!"
Isadora says, DAD! YOU'RE MISSING THE POINT! WE SHOULDN'T HAVE USED MAGIC. SOMETIMES I WISH I WAS JUST HUMAN AND COULDN'T EVEN DO FAIRY MAGIC.
Isadora rests her elbows on her knees and her head on her hands. Bartholomew puts his arm around her.
[Bartholomew sighing]
Bartholomew says, SOMETIMES DOING THE RIGHT THING IS HARDER THAN DOING THE WRONG THING. NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE. FAIRY, VAMPIRE, OR HUMAN.
Isadora says, I DO WANT TO DO THE RIGHT THING, EVEN IF IT'S HARD.
Isadora smiles and says, I'M GOING TO TELL ZOE TOMORROW. THANKS, DAD.
Isadora and Bartholomew hug each other.
Bartholomew says, NO PROBLEM, MY DARLING. NOW GO AND…
Imitating Whippy, Bartholomew says, …“BAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.”
Isadora says, OH, DAD.
[Isadora giggling]
On a new day, the sun shines outside Zoe’s apartment.
[Zoe giggling]
Isadora follows Zoe into the kitchen, where their magic cake continues to sparkle.
Zoe says, WE CAN'T LOSE. THIS CAKE IS A WINNER!
Isadora says, ZOE, I DON'T WANT US TO ENTER THIS CAKE IN THE COMPETITION.
[Zoe laughing]
Zoe says, YOU'RE FUNNY, ISADORA.
Isadora says, NO, I MEAN IT. WE CAN'T ENTER A MAGIC CAKE! IT'S CHEATING.
Zoe says, BUT I THOUGHT WE AGREED.
Isadora says, IT WON'T BE FAIR TO EVERYONE ELSE IF WE WIN USING MAGIC.
Zoe says, BUT THEN WE WON'T GET A CHANCE TO SEE WHIPPY MCFLUFF!
Isadora looks thoughtful.
Isadora smiles and says, HMM. WE MIGHT. LET'S BAKE ANOTHER CAKE, BUT THIS TIME WITHOUT MAGIC.
Zoe sighs, OKAY.
Later, a level, three-tier cake sits on the island beside the magic cake. It has white icing on the top and red and white icing between the layers. Three cherries and rainbow sprinkles decorate the top of the cake. Zoe and Isadora admire their work.
Isadora says, IT'S PERFECT!
Zoe asks, HOW ABOUT JUST A FEW TEENSY-WEENSY MAGIC SPRINKLES?
[Isadora giggling]
Isadora says, NO, BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS YOU AND YOUR DAD CAN EAT THE MAGIC CAKE!
[Zoe’s dad gasping]
Zoe’s dad steps into the kitchen.
Zoe’s dad asks, DID SOMEONE SAY CAKE?
Zoe frowns.
[Isadora giggling]
At school, droopy cakes line Miss Cherry’s desk. Teal candies stick out of a chocolate cake. An ice cream cone sticks out of a cake with pink and purple icing.
[Students giggling]
Oliver and J.J. place a well-decorated green dinosaur cake on the desk. The dinosaur is smiling and has sprinkles on its head.
Someone says, WOW!
Isadora says, OOH, THAT'S GOOD!
J.J. says, DOESN'T EVEN TASTE LIKE DINOSAUR THOUGH.
Sashi says, ACTUALLY, NO ONE'S EVER TASTED A DINOSAUR BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T ALIVE AT THE SAME TIME AS PEOPLE. SO IT MIGHT BE A T-REX FLAVOUR.
Oliver says, ACTUALLY, IT'S TRICERATOPS FLAVOUR.
Miss Cherry says, WELL, IT LOOKS DELICIOUS. NOW, ISADORA, WHERE'S YOUR AND ZOE'S CAKE?
From close by, Zoe says, IT'S HERE!
[Zoe giggling]
[Students gasping]
Zoe stands at the door with the sparkling magic cake on a cart.
Zoe says, TA-DA!
Someone says, WOW!
Someone else says, AMAZING!
Isadora frowns and says, OH NO.
Zoe pushes the cake into the room.
Someone says, OH, IT SPARKLES!
Someone else says, WOW!
Miss Cherry says, OH MY WORD.
Zoe says to Isadora, THIS ONE WAS SO MUCH BETTER! PLEASE DON'T BE CROSS.
Miss Cherry says, RIGHT. NOW ALL THE CAKES ARE IN, IT'S TIME FOR THE RESULTS.
Isadora and Zoe take their seats in the front row. Sashi sits behind them. Zoe looks excited. Isadora looks stressed.
[Isadora sighing]
Miss Cherry says, I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE SPECIAL MENTION OF J.J. AND OLIVER'S LOVELY DINOSAUR CAKE. I PARTICULARLY LOVE ITS BIG TUMMY.
J.J. says, THAT'S 'CAUSE HE'S JUST EATEN A CAVEMAN! NOM-NOM-NOM.
J.J. rubs his belly. Sashi walks over to his and Oliver’s table.
Sashi says, ACTUALLY, IT CAN'T EAT A CAVEMAN BECAUSE DINOSAURS WEREN'T ALIVE AT THE…
J.J. and Oliver finish Sahi’s sentence with her.
J.J., Olivier and Sashi say, …SAME TIME AS PEOPLE.
J.J. and Oliver say, WE KNOW.
J.J., Oliver and Sashi giggling]
Miss Cherry says, BUT I WAS EVEN MORE IMPRESSED WITH ALL THE HARD WORK THAT WENT INTO THE WINNING CAKE, WHICH IS, DRUM ROLL PLEASE...
The students bang on their desks. Isadora stares at her hands.
[Desk banging drumroll]
Miss Cherry announces, ISADORA AND ZOE'S SPARKLY RAINBOW CAKE! YEAH!
Sashi cheers, YAY!
Oliver says, THAT'S AMAZING!
[Zoe giggling]
Zoe and Isadora get up from their seats.
[Students giggling]
Miss Cherry says, AND HERE ARE YOUR TICKETS TO THE FINAL OF SPONGE AND SPRINKLES!
In front of the class, Miss Cherry gives Isadora and Zoe their tickets.
Isadora briefly smiles and says, THANK YOU.
Zoe says, THANK YOU!
[Zoe giggling with excitement]
Isadora glances at Zoe.
Miss Cherry says, WELL DONE TO YOU BOTH! I SO APPRECIATE ALL YOUR HARD WORK. HOW ON EARTH DID YOU DO IT?
Zoe says, UM, WE JUST WORKED REALLY HARD, DIDN'T WE, ISADORA?
[Isadora sighing]
Isadora walks away. Zoe frowns and follows.
Miss Cherry says, I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO TASTING YOUR LOVELY CREATIONS LATER. BUT FIRST, WHO'S UP FOR A DELICIOUS HISTORY TEST?
Isadora and Zoe return to their seats. Isadora drops her ticket on her desk and crosses her arms.
[J.J. and Oliver groaning]
Sashi eagerly says, ME!
Zoe whispers, ISADORA? ISADORA?
Isadora turns away from Zoe. Zoe looks between her ticket and Isadora.
Zoe says, MISS CHERRY?
Miss Cherry says, YES, ZOE?
Zoe walks up to the front of the class with her ticket.
Zoe says, I'M SORRY, MISS CHERRY, BUT WE CAN'T TAKE THE SPONGE AND SPRINKLES TICKETS.
Zoe gives her ticket back to Miss Cherry and lowers her gaze.
Miss Cherry asks, WHY ON EARTH NOT?
J.J. and Oliver say, HUH?
Zoe says, BECAUSE WE DIDN'T WIN FAIRLY. I PERSUADED ISADORA TO DO MAGIC ON OUR CAKE. THAT'S WHY IT LOOKS SO AMAZING.
[Sashi gasping]
Sashi says, REALLY?
Isadora smiles.
[J.J. and Oliver gasping]
Oliver says, WHAT?
J.J. says, AW.
Oliver says, OH NO.
Zoe says, ISADORA DIDN'T WANT TO BECAUSE SHE KNEW IT WAS CHEATING. BUT I BEGGED HER BECAUSE I LOVE WHIPPY MCFLUFF AND IT'S ALL MY FAULT.
Isadora joins Zoe at the front of the class with her ticket.
Zoe says, I'M REALLY SORRY.
Miss Cherry says, OH DEAR.
Isadora gives her ticket back to Miss Cherry.
Miss Cherry asks, OH DEAR. IS THIS TRUE, ISADORA?
Isadora lowers her gaze and nods.
Miss Cherry says, WELL, I'M DISAPPOINTED THAT YOU CHEATED, BUT I'M VERY PLEASED THAT YOU DECIDED TO OWN UP. THANK YOU.
Isadora and Zoe smile.
Miss Cherry says, DOING THE RIGHT THING CAN BE HARD. WELL, NOW. WHAT TO DO WITH THE TICKETS? THIS IS A CAKEY CONUNDRUM.
Isadora says, NO, IT ISN'T! J.J. AND OLIVER'S DINOSAUR CAKE WAS THE BEST! THEY SHOULD GET THE TICKETS.
[J.J. gasping]
J.J. says, REALLY?
Zoe says, YES, THEY SHOULD! AND THAT MEANS I STILL WIN FIRST PRIZE!
Isadora says, YOU DO?
Zoe says, YES. HAVING MY FRIEND BACK.
Zoe hugs Isadora.
Isadora says, AWW!
[Zoe giggling]
Isadora says, DAD WAS RIGHT. DOING THE RIGHT THING IS HARD FOR FAIRY VAMPIRES AND HUMANS, BUT IT FEELS GOOD.
Miss Cherry says, WELL, AS A REWARD FOR DOING THE RIGHT THING, PERHAPS A LITTLE CAKEY TREAT IS IN ORDER?
J.J. runs up to the front of the class.
[J.J. gasping]
J.J. says, I GET TO EAT CAKE WHEN IT ISN'T EVEN MY BIRTHDAY? YES! A BIG SLICE OF DINOSAUR FOR ME, PLEASE!
J.J. rubs his belly.
[Students giggling ]
