Children sing, ISADORA MOON, THE ONE AND ONLY, HERE I GO. I'M TOTALLY UNIQUE AND EXTRA-STARRY. WAVING MY WAND, FLYING FEARLESSLY, YEAH.
Isadora stands with her parents, Countess Cordelia Moon and Count Bartholomew Moon. Cordelia has long, curly pink hair and wears flowers in her hair. She has transparent green butterfly-like wings and wears a green sweater and a pink dress. Bartholomew has short black hair and fangs. He wears a long black and purple cape, grey pants, and a grey striped vest over a red shirt.

During the day, the iron gates in front of a two-storey school are closed.
Zoe says, THANKS FOR COMING WITH ME, ISADORA!
Isadora says, IT'LL BE FUN.
[Door squeaking, light music plays]
Isadora and Zoe enter a classroom, holding their school bags. Zoe has long brown hair with pink streaks and wears a grey shirt and red skirt.
Isadora says, AND IT'S GOING TO BE PINK RABBIT'S FIRST-EVER PARTY. WE CAN'T WAIT!
Zoe says, I CAN SEE THAT.
[Zoe giggling]
Isadora and Zoe walk to a table and put their bags down, and Isadora’s wiggles.
Zoe says, EVEN YOUR SCHOOL BAG'S EXCITED.
Isadora says, HUH?
[Students giggling]
Isadora says, UH.
A red-haired teacher says, EXCITING NEWS, EVERYONE. A NEW GIRL IS JOINING OUR CLASS TODAY. EVERYBODY, SAY HELLO TO AVA.
Ava stands beside the teacher. She has short brown hair and wears a pink sweater, a green vest, and blue pants.
Isadora and Zoe say, HI, AVA!
Oliver and J.J. sit together at a table. Oliver wears a yellow and green sweater over a white shirt. He has short, curly, dark brown hair. J.J. wears a blue and green shirt. He has short blond hair and wears eyeglasses.
J.J. says, HELLO, AVA.
Oliver says, NICE TO MEET YOU, AVA.
The red-haired teacher says, WE HAVE A FEW MOMENTS BEFORE LESSONS BEGIN, SO WHY DON'T YOU START MAKING FRIENDS RIGHT NOW.
[Upbeat music plays]
Isadora runs to Ava, who stands with her hands in her vest pockets.
Isadora says, HELLO, I'M ISADORA. I'M HALF VAMPIRE, HALF FAIRY. AND THAT'S ZOE. SHE'S REALLY GREAT.
Zoe says, HELLO, AVA!
Isadora says, AND SO ARE OLIVER AND SASHI AND—
Ava says, I DON'T GET WHAT'S SO GREAT ABOUT THEM.
Isadora says, HUH?
Zoe says, OH.
Zoe stands and walks to Isadora and Ava.
Zoe says, HI, AVA! YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE OUR SCHOOL. WE DO LOADS OF FUN THINGS LIKE DANCING AND MUSIC, AND I GO TO TOY-MAKING CLUB ON TUESDAYS AND—
Ava says, I DID THINGS LIKE THAT WHEN I WAS LITTLE. I'M WAY TOO GROWN-UP FOR THAT STUFF NOW.
Isadora says, OH, UM, RIGHT.
[Isadora gasping, Zoe laughing]
Pink Rabbit wiggles out of Isadora’s school bag and carries a picture with balloons and carrots.
Zoe says, I KNEW THERE WAS SOMEONE IN THERE.
Isadora says, THIS IS PINK RABBIT. WE'RE PLANNING A PARTY TO CELEBRATE WHEN MY MUM MAGICKED HIM TO LIFE.
Ava smiles.
Ava says, HE CAN MOVE ALL BY HIMSELF! I MEAN, YOU BRING YOUR CUDDLY TOY TO SCHOOL? THAT'S SO BABYISH.
[The music stops]
Ava pushes a small stuffy back into her vest pocket.
Isadora says, HE DOESN'T USUALLY COME TO SCHOOL. HE JUST WANTS TO SHOW ME HIS LIST OF PARTY STUFF.
[Ava sighing, tense music notes play]
The red-haired teacher asks, SO, HOW ARE YOU ALL GETTING ALONG?
Isadora says, UM, WELL.
[Light music plays]
Ava says, I WAS JUST SAYING MY FRIENDS AT MY OLD SCHOOL WERE REALLY GROWN-UP.
The red-haired teacher says, THEY SOUND LOVELY. I'M SURE YOU'LL LIKE EVERYONE HERE TOO. NOW, IT'S LESSON TIME. AVA, YOU'RE OVER HERE.
The red-haired teacher leads Ava away from Isadora.
Isadora tells Pink Rabbit, IT'S RUDE TO STARE.
[Rustling, light music plays]
Later, at home, Isadora glues an eye on a rabbit face on an invitation.
Isadora says, AND THEN AVA SAID THAT I WAS BABYISH. JUST BECAUSE PINK RABBIT CAME TO SCHOOL WITH ME.
[Chiming]
Isadora holds up the invitation, and Cordelia waves her wand over it. Pink Rabbit holds a drawing of a carrot sandwich.
Cordelia says, OOH! CARROT SANDWICHES! COMING RIGHT UP.
[Chiming, popping]
Cordelia waves her wand, and a plate of carrot sandwiches appears on the table. Pink Rabbit smiles.
Isadora says, AVA THINKS WE'RE ALL BABYISH AND WE REALLY TRIED TO BE NICE TO HER.
Cordelia says, OH, THAT WOULD HURT MY FEELINGS, TOO. DO YOU THINK MAYBE SHE'S HAVING A HARD TIME FITTING IN?
Isadora says, MMM.
[Chiming]
Cordelia waves her wand over another invitation.
Cordelia says, YOU'LL INVITE HER OVER TO THE PARTY, OF COURSE.
[The music stops]
Nearby, Honeyblossom, Isadora’s little sister, sits in a high chair, and Bartholomew feeds her.
Isadora says, WHAT? NO! SHE'S SO UNFRIENDLY.
Bartholomew says, YOU KNOW, PERHAPS YOU SHOULD TRY PUTTING YOURSELF IN AVA'S SHOES. THAT MEANS THEY WON'T BE AS STYLISH AND AS SHINY AS MINE, OF COURSE.
Cordelia says, DAD'S RIGHT! THAT WOULD HELP YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE THE NEW GIRL.
[Tense music plays]
Isadora says, THE NEW MEAN GIRL.
[Crunching]
Isadora bites into an apple.
Isadora says, EW! THIS TASTES LIKE SOGGY CARDBOARD!
[Cordelia laughing, light music plays]
Cordelia says, OH, THAT'S A FAIRY THING. AS SENSITIVE MAGICAL CREATURES, WE CAN'T TASTE NICE FLAVOURS IF WE KNOW THERE'S SOMETHING WE NEED TO PUT RIGHT.
Isadora asks, WHAT CAN I DO? I CAN'T STOP AVA FROM BEING MEAN.
Cordelia says, AH, BUT YOU CAN SHOW HER THAT YOU WANT TO BE FRIENDS BY INVITING HER TO THE PARTY. ISN'T THAT RIGHT, DARLING?
Bartholomew admires his shiny black shoes.
Bartholomew says, OH, THEY SHINE LIKE STARS. HMM? UH, YES, MY LOVE. I ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH WHAT YOU JUST SAID.
[Cordelia giggling]
Isadora says, OKAY. I'LL MAKE AN INVITATION FOR AVA.
[Cordelia gasping]
Pink Rabbit holds up a paper.
Cordelia says, OH! CARROT-SHAPED BALLOONS. COMING RIGHT UP.
[Chiming, popping, Isadora and Cordelia laughing]
Cordelia waves her wand, and Pink Rabbit floats up, holding strings attached to carrot-shaped balloons.
[Light music plays, chattering, laughing]
The next day at school, Isadora holds the invitations and gives one to Zoe.
Zoe says, OOH! THANKS, ISADORA! I CAN'T WAIT.
Across the classroom, Ava stands with Oliver.
Ava says, YOU'RE STILL INTO DINOSAURS?
[Ava scoffing]
Ava says, EVERYONE AT MY OLD SCHOOL GREW OUT OF THEM AGES AGO.
Oliver says, OH! I'M NEVER GROWING OUT OF DINOSAURS.
Isadora says, OH.
Isadora flies to Ava and Oliver.
Oliver says, REMEMBER MY DINO PARTY, ISADORA?
[Dramatic music plays]
Oliver says, ROAR!
Isadora says, ROAR!
[Both laughing]
Ava says, ALL YOUR PARTIES SOUND SO SILLY.
[Isadora sighing]
The red-haired teacher says, GOOD MORNING, CLASS. TODAY WE'RE DOING A PROJECT IN PAIRS, AND ISADORA, YOU'RE IN JUST THE RIGHT PLACE BECAUSE AVA'S YOUR PARTNER.
[Tense music plays]
Isadora says, OH. THAT'S, UH, GREAT. HELLO, PARTNER.
[Ava sighing]
Ava rolls her eyes and walks away from Isadora.
[The music stops]
The teacher sits at her desk facing the students, who sit in pairs. Isadora sits with Ava, Zoe sits with Oliver, and J.J. sits with Sashi.
The teacher says, OUR PROJECT IS ABOUT LIFE IN THE OCEAN. SO, LET'S DIVE RIGHT IN
[Teacher giggling, upbeat music plays]
The teacher says, WITH EACH PAIR SHOWING US AN EXAMPLE OF SEA LIFE.
J.J. waves his arms.
J.J. says, YES! WE ARE OCTOPUSES.
Sashi says, ACTUALLY, I'M A SQUID.
[Sashi burbling]
Sashi puffs her cheeks out and puts her hands beside her head. Oliver walks sideways.
Oliver says, CHECK ME OUT. I'M A CRAB.
[Zoe giggling]
Zoe flaps her arms.
Zoe says, I'M A SEAGULL AND I LOVE CRABS.
Oliver says, AH, THAT'S SO NICE.
Zoe says, FOR BREAKFAST!
[Oliver screaming]
Zoe chases Oliver.
Zoe says, CAW! CAW! CAW!
[Students laughing]
Isadora asks, WHAT CAN WE BE, AVA? OH, I KNOW! MERMAIDS!
[Ava groaning]
The teacher says, ALL YOUR IDEAS ARE SPLENDID. NOW, I'D LIKE EACH PAIR TO DRAW A PICTURE OF YOUR SEA CREATURES.
Isadora draws a mermaid.
Ava asks, YOU DON'T ACTUALLY BELIEVE MERMAIDS ARE REAL, DO YOU?
Isadora says, I KNOW THEY ARE! I'VE MET LOTS OF MAGICAL CREATURES—
Ava says, I SUPPOSE YOU WANT ME TO BELIEVE YOU'RE A REAL VAMPIRE-FAIRY TOO.
[Pencil clattering]
Isadora drops her pencil crayon.
Isadora says, WHAT? BUT I—
Ava says, WHAT TOY SHOP DID YOU GET THOSE SILLY WINGS AND FANGS FROM?
Isadora says, I AM A REAL.
[Isadora groaning]
Isadora says, WATCH THIS.
Isadora lifts her wand and then puts it away.
Isadora says, HMM. I DON'T HAVE TO PROVE IT TO YOU.
[Ava scoffing]
Ava says, I'LL DO MY OWN DRAWING.
Isadora says, I'M JUST TRYING TO BE FRIENDLY.
[Isadora sighing]
Ava draws the hedgehog stuffy toy and pushes it deeper into her vest pocket.
[Children shouting]
In the schoolyard, Zoe and Isadora walk together.
Zoe says, I HEARD AVA SAYING YOU'RE NOT A REAL FAIRY-VAMPIRE. ARE YOU OKAY?
Isadora says, MMM.
Zoe says, YOU'RE COMPLETELY DOING THE RIGHT THING, NOT INVITING AVA. SHE'D JUST SPOIL THE PARTY FOR EVERYONE.
[Dramatic music plays, Ava gasping, Zoe gasping]
Ava stands behind Zoe and Isadore. She runs to a woman with short red hair by the school gate and hugs her.
Zoe and Isadora say, OH, NO.
Isadora says, THIS IS BAD.
[Light music plays]
That evening, Honeyblossom, Pink Rabbit, Isadora, Cordelia, and Bartholomew sit at the dining room table with plates of food between them.
Isadora says, I'M SORRY, DAD. I KNOW YOU MADE MY FAVOURITE DINNER TO CHEER ME UP, BUT EVERYTHING JUST TASTES CARDBOARDY TODAY.
[Bartholomew gasping, dramatic music plays]
Bartholomew says, IN ALL MY CENTURIES OF COOKING, I'VE NEVER BEEN SO INSULTED!
[Crying]
Bartholomew says, OH, NO!
[Honeyblossom giggling, chiming, slide whistle, light music plays]
Honeyblossom flies out of her highchair, and Cordelia waves her wand, putting Honeyblossom back in the chair.
Cordelia says, OH! I KNOW. WHY DON'T THE TWO OF YOU GO FOR A SUNSET FLIGHT? IT MIGHT HELP YOU TO FIGURE OUT THE RIGHT THING TO DO. THEN DINNER WILL TASTE DELICIOUS!
Bartholomew says, AH, STUPENDOUS IDEA, MY DARLING! SHALL WE?
[Chuckling]
Isadora says, YES, PLEASE!
[Isadora giggling]
Pink Rabbit jumps out of his chair.
Isadora says, YOU'RE COMING TO CHEER ME UP, TOO?
Pink Rabbit nods, and Isadora holds his paw.
Isadora says, GREAT! LET'S FLY!
[Whooshing, upbeat music plays]
Isadora and Bartholomew fly across the orange sky, with Isadora holding Pink Rabbit’s hand.
Isadora cheers, WAHOO!
Bartholomew says, SEE! YOU'RE LOOKING CHEERIER ALREADY. YOU KNOW, FLYING ALWAYS HELPS ME SWOOP MY WAY TO THE RIGHT DECISION.
[Isadora giggling]
Isadora says, THIS IS GREAT! IT'S DEFINITELY TAKING MY MIND OFF…
[Gasping]
Isadora says, AVA!
[Whooshing, Ava humming]
Isadora and Bartholomew hover over a park. Below, Ava dances holding her hedgehog stuffed toy. The woman with the short red hair sits on a nearby park bench and watches.
Isadora asks, CAN WE FLY SOMEWHERE ELSE, DAD?
Bartholomew says, AH, BUT THE PARK IS ESPECIALLY GLORIOUS AT SUNSET. PREPARE FOR TOUCHDOWN!
[Whooshing, Ava humming, gasping]
Bartholomew, Isadora, and Pink Rabbit land in the park.
Ava asks, ISADORA?
Ava hides her stuffy in her vest pocket.
The red-haired woman asks, IS THIS ONE OF YOUR NEW SCHOOL FRIENDS? HOW LOVELY TO MEET YOU. I'M VALERIE. AVA'S MUM.
[Upbeat music plays]
Bartholomew says, COUNT BARTHOLOMEW MOON! DELIGHTED TO MAKE YOUR ACQUAINTANCE. WHY DON'T WE TAKE A SEAT AND TALK ABOUT, UM, STUFF THAT PARENTS LOVE TALKING ABOUT? SO, THE GIRLS CAN GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER BETTER.
The red-haired woman, Valerie, says, GOOD IDEA. YOU MUST TELL ME WHERE YOU GOT YOUR FABULOUS CAPE.
[Bartholomew laughing]
Isadora says, SO, UM-- YOUR TOY LOOKS CUTE.
Ava says, I HAVEN'T GOT A TOY!
[Isadora giggling]
Isadora says, YOU HAVE! I CAN SEE IT! WHY DON'T YOU INTRODUCE IT TO PINK RABBIT? HE LOVES MAKING NEW FRIENDS.
Pink Rabbit waves, and Ava takes the hedgehog stuffed toy out of her pocket.
Ava says, UM. THIS IS PIPPI.
Isadora says, AW! SHE'S SO SWEET. I LOVE HER!
Ava says, OH, YOU DON'T THINK SHE'S BABYISH?
Isadora says, NO.
[Light music plays]
Ava says, WOW. EVERYONE AT MY OLD SCHOOL MADE FUN OF ME FOR TAKING HER EVERYWHERE.
Pink Rabbit shakes his head.
Isadora asks, OH! IS THAT WHY YOU'VE BEEN-
Ava says, KIND OF MEAN? YES.
Isadora says, WELL, YOU DON'T HAVE TO KEEP PIPPI A SECRET ANYMORE. YOU LOVE HER AND YOU SHOULDN'T HIDE THAT JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO FIT IN. I'M GUESSING PIPPI LIKES DANCING.
Ava says, SHE LOVES IT.
Isadora says, I COULD TRY A BIT OF MAGIC ON HER IF YOU WANT.
[Chiming]
The hedgehog stuffy, Pippi, rises in the air and floats around Pink Rabbit as he dances.
Ava says, WHOA!
[Isadora and Ava giggling]
Ava says, BRILLIANT! YOU REALLY ARE MAGICAL!
Isadora says, YOU KNOW, IT WAS HURTFUL WHEN YOU SAID I WASN'T A REAL VAMPIRE-FAIRY. BUT I KNOW WHO I AM AND I LOVE BEING ME.
Ava says, I'M SORRY I SAID THAT. I ALWAYS KNEW YOU WERE A REAL VAMPIRE-FAIRY AND I THINK YOU'RE AMAZING.
[Ava giggling]
Ava says, IT LOOKS LIKE WE'RE JOINING IN.
[Isadora giggling, Ava humming, Valerie and Bartholomew clapping, Bartholomew laughing]
Pippi floats to Ava and floats around her as she dances. Isadora picks Pink Rabbit up by his paws and swings him in a circle. Bartholomew and Valerie watch from the bench.
Bartholomew says, OH! WONDROUS!
Isadora says, THIS IS FUN!
[Isadora gasping]
Isadora says, OH! YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE IS FUN?
[Whooshing]
Isadora takes an invitation out of her pocket.
Isadora says, PINK RABBIT'S PARTY! YOU'LL COME, WON'T YOU?
Ava says, WOW! THANKS, ISADORA!
[Giggling]
Isadora and Ava hug.
[Children laughing, rock music plays]
In the Moon family’s backyard, Isadora flies, spinning with Pink Rabbit in the air. They fly past carrot-shaped balloons and a table filled with food. On the grass, J.J., Oliver, Zoe, and Sashi sit while Ava stands holding Pippi.
Isadora cheers, WEE!
[Giggling]
Zoe holds a monkey stuffed toy, Sashi has a toy robot, Oliver holds a toy dinosaur, and J.J. leans against a soccer ball.
Zoe says, THIS IS COCO. I MADE HIM IN TOY-MAKING CLUB.
Ava says, AW! SAY HELLO TO COCO, PIPPI.
As Coco, Zoe says, HELLO, PIPPI! IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU.
As Pippi, Ava says, HI, COCO.
[Upbeat music plays]
Isadora stands beside Cordelia and Bartholomew, who holds a plate filled with carrots.
Cordelia says, YOU DID THE RIGHT THING INVITING YOUR NEW FRIEND.
Isadora says, I'M REALLY GLAD I DID.
Bartholomew asks, PARTY SNACKS ANYONE? THE CHOICE IS CARROTS, CARROTS, OR CARROT CAKE. I'M JUST KIDDING! IT'S ONLY CARROTS.
[Crunching]
Isadora takes a carrot and bites it.
Isadora says, MMM.
[Isadora giggling]
Isadora says, NOT EVEN A BIT CARDBOARDY.
Ava says, COME AND PLAY WITH US, ISADORA.
Isadora says, OKAY!
[Children laughing]
Zoe and Ava dance, holding their stuffed toy animals. Isadora dances with Pink Rabbit.

Zoe stands and walks to Isadora and Ava.
Zoe says, HI, AVA! YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE OUR SCHOOL. WE DO LOADS OF FUN THINGS LIKE DANCING AND MUSIC, AND I GO TO TOY-MAKING CLUB ON TUESDAYS AND—
Ava says, I DID THINGS LIKE THAT WHEN I WAS LITTLE. I'M WAY TOO GROWN-UP FOR THAT STUFF NOW.
Isadora says, OH, UM, RIGHT.
[Isadora gasping, Zoe laughing]
Pink Rabbit wiggles out of Isadora’s school bag and carries a picture with balloons and carrots.
Zoe says, I KNEW THERE WAS SOMEONE IN THERE.
Isadora says, THIS IS PINK RABBIT. WE'RE PLANNING A PARTY TO CELEBRATE WHEN MY MUM MAGICKED HIM TO LIFE.
Ava smiles.
Ava says, HE CAN MOVE ALL BY HIMSELF! I MEAN, YOU BRING YOUR CUDDLY TOY TO SCHOOL? THAT'S SO BABYISH.
[The music stops]
Ava pushes a small stuffy back into her vest pocket.
Isadora says, HE DOESN'T USUALLY COME TO SCHOOL. HE JUST WANTS TO SHOW ME HIS LIST OF PARTY STUFF.
[Ava sighing, tense music notes play]
The red-haired teacher asks, SO, HOW ARE YOU ALL GETTING ALONG?
Isadora says, UM, WELL.
[Light music plays]
Ava says, I WAS JUST SAYING MY FRIENDS AT MY OLD SCHOOL WERE REALLY GROWN-UP.
The red-haired teacher says, THEY SOUND LOVELY. I'M SURE YOU'LL LIKE EVERYONE HERE TOO. NOW, IT'S LESSON TIME. AVA, YOU'RE OVER HERE.
The red-haired teacher leads Ava away from Isadora.
Isadora tells Pink Rabbit, IT'S RUDE TO STARE.
[Rustling, light music plays]
Later, at home, Isadora glues an eye on a rabbit face on an invitation.
Isadora says, AND THEN AVA SAID THAT I WAS BABYISH. JUST BECAUSE PINK RABBIT CAME TO SCHOOL WITH ME.
[Chiming]
Isadora holds up the invitation, and Cordelia waves her wand over it. Pink Rabbit holds a drawing of a carrot sandwich.
Cordelia says, OOH! CARROT SANDWICHES! COMING RIGHT UP.
[Chiming, popping]
Cordelia waves her wand, and a plate of carrot sandwiches appears on the table. Pink Rabbit smiles.
Isadora says, AVA THINKS WE'RE ALL BABYISH AND WE REALLY TRIED TO BE NICE TO HER.
Cordelia says, OH, THAT WOULD HURT MY FEELINGS, TOO. DO YOU THINK MAYBE SHE'S HAVING A HARD TIME FITTING IN?
Isadora says, MMM.
[Chiming]
Cordelia waves her wand over another invitation.
Cordelia says, YOU'LL INVITE HER OVER TO THE PARTY, OF COURSE.
[The music stops]
Nearby, Honeyblossom, Isadora’s little sister, sits in a high chair, and Bartholomew feeds her.
Isadora says, WHAT? NO! SHE'S SO UNFRIENDLY.
Bartholomew says, YOU KNOW, PERHAPS YOU SHOULD TRY PUTTING YOURSELF IN AVA'S SHOES. THAT MEANS THEY WON'T BE AS STYLISH AND AS SHINY AS MINE, OF COURSE.
Cordelia says, DAD'S RIGHT! THAT WOULD HELP YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE THE NEW GIRL.
[Tense music plays]
Isadora says, THE NEW MEAN GIRL.
[Crunching]
Isadora bites into an apple.
Isadora says, EW! THIS TASTES LIKE SOGGY CARDBOARD!
[Cordelia laughing, light music plays]
Cordelia says, OH, THAT'S A FAIRY THING. AS SENSITIVE MAGICAL CREATURES, WE CAN'T TASTE NICE FLAVOURS IF WE KNOW THERE'S SOMETHING WE NEED TO PUT RIGHT.
Isadora asks, WHAT CAN I DO? I CAN'T STOP AVA FROM BEING MEAN.
Cordelia says, AH, BUT YOU CAN SHOW HER THAT YOU WANT TO BE FRIENDS BY INVITING HER TO THE PARTY. ISN'T THAT RIGHT, DARLING?
Bartholomew admires his shiny black shoes.
Bartholomew says, OH, THEY SHINE LIKE STARS. HMM? UH, YES, MY LOVE. I ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH WHAT YOU JUST SAID.
[Cordelia giggling]
Isadora says, OKAY. I'LL MAKE AN INVITATION FOR AVA.
[Cordelia gasping]
Pink Rabbit holds up a paper.
Cordelia says, OH! CARROT-SHAPED BALLOONS. COMING RIGHT UP.
[Chiming, popping, Isadora and Cordelia laughing]
Cordelia waves her wand, and Pink Rabbit floats up, holding strings attached to carrot-shaped balloons.
[Light music plays, chattering, laughing]
The next day at school, Isadora holds the invitations and gives one to Zoe.
Zoe says, OOH! THANKS, ISADORA! I CAN'T WAIT.
Across the classroom, Ava stands with Oliver.
Ava says, YOU'RE STILL INTO DINOSAURS?
[Ava scoffing]
Ava says, EVERYONE AT MY OLD SCHOOL GREW OUT OF THEM AGES AGO.
Oliver says, OH! I'M NEVER GROWING OUT OF DINOSAURS.
Isadora says, OH.
Isadora flies to Ava and Oliver.

[Dramatic music plays]

The red-haired teacher says, GOOD MORNING, CLASS. TODAY WE'RE DOING A PROJECT IN PAIRS, AND ISADORA, YOU'RE IN JUST THE RIGHT PLACE BECAUSE AVA'S YOUR PARTNER.
[Tense music plays]
Isadora says, OH. THAT'S, UH, GREAT. HELLO, PARTNER.
[Ava sighing]
Ava rolls her eyes and walks away from Isadora.

The teacher sits at her desk facing the students, who sit in pairs. Isadora sits with Ava, Zoe sits with Oliver, and J.J. sits with Sashi.

[Teacher giggling, upbeat music plays]

J.J. waves his arms.

[Sashi burbling]
Sashi puffs her cheeks out and puts her hands beside her head. Oliver walks sideways.
Oliver says, CHECK ME OUT. I'M A CRAB.
[Zoe giggling]
Zoe flaps her arms.
Zoe says, I'M A SEAGULL AND I LOVE CRABS.
Oliver says, AH, THAT'S SO NICE.
Zoe says, FOR BREAKFAST!
[Oliver screaming]
Zoe chases Oliver.
Zoe says, CAW! CAW! CAW!
[Students laughing]
Isadora asks, WHAT CAN WE BE, AVA? OH, I KNOW! MERMAIDS!
[Ava groaning]
The teacher says, ALL YOUR IDEAS ARE SPLENDID. NOW, I'D LIKE EACH PAIR TO DRAW A PICTURE OF YOUR SEA CREATURES.
Isadora draws a mermaid.
Ava asks, YOU DON'T ACTUALLY BELIEVE MERMAIDS ARE REAL, DO YOU?
Isadora says, I KNOW THEY ARE! I'VE MET LOTS OF MAGICAL CREATURES—
Ava says, I SUPPOSE YOU WANT ME TO BELIEVE YOU'RE A REAL VAMPIRE-FAIRY TOO.
[Pencil clattering]
Isadora drops her pencil crayon.
Isadora says, WHAT? BUT I—
Ava says, WHAT TOY SHOP DID YOU GET THOSE SILLY WINGS AND FANGS FROM?
Isadora says, I AM A REAL.
[Isadora groaning]
Isadora says, WATCH THIS.
Isadora lifts her wand and then puts it away.
Isadora says, HMM. I DON'T HAVE TO PROVE IT TO YOU.
[Ava scoffing]
Ava says, I'LL DO MY OWN DRAWING.
Isadora says, I'M JUST TRYING TO BE FRIENDLY.
[Isadora sighing]
Ava draws the hedgehog stuffy toy and pushes it deeper into her vest pocket.
[Children shouting]
In the schoolyard, Zoe and Isadora walk together.
Zoe says, I HEARD AVA SAYING YOU'RE NOT A REAL FAIRY-VAMPIRE. ARE YOU OKAY?
Isadora says, MMM.
Zoe says, YOU'RE COMPLETELY DOING THE RIGHT THING, NOT INVITING AVA. SHE'D JUST SPOIL THE PARTY FOR EVERYONE.
[Dramatic music plays, Ava gasping, Zoe gasping]
Ava stands behind Zoe and Isadore. She runs to a woman with short red hair by the school gate and hugs her.
Zoe and Isadora say, OH, NO.
Isadora says, THIS IS BAD.
[Light music plays]
That evening, Honeyblossom, Pink Rabbit, Isadora, Cordelia, and Bartholomew sit at the dining room table with plates of food between them.
Isadora says, I'M SORRY, DAD. I KNOW YOU MADE MY FAVOURITE DINNER TO CHEER ME UP, BUT EVERYTHING JUST TASTES CARDBOARDY TODAY.
[Bartholomew gasping, dramatic music plays]
Bartholomew says, IN ALL MY CENTURIES OF COOKING, I'VE NEVER BEEN SO INSULTED!
[Crying]
Bartholomew says, OH, NO!
[Honeyblossom giggling, chiming, slide whistle, light music plays]
Honeyblossom flies out of her highchair, and Cordelia waves her wand, putting Honeyblossom back in the chair.
Cordelia says, OH! I KNOW. WHY DON'T THE TWO OF YOU GO FOR A SUNSET FLIGHT? IT MIGHT HELP YOU TO FIGURE OUT THE RIGHT THING TO DO. THEN DINNER WILL TASTE DELICIOUS!
Bartholomew says, AH, STUPENDOUS IDEA, MY DARLING! SHALL WE?
[Chuckling]
Isadora says, YES, PLEASE!
[Isadora giggling]
Pink Rabbit jumps out of his chair.
Isadora says, YOU'RE COMING TO CHEER ME UP, TOO?

[Whooshing, upbeat music plays]

Pink Rabbit shakes his head.

Ava says, KIND OF MEAN? YES.
Isadora says, WELL, YOU DON'T HAVE TO KEEP PIPPI A SECRET ANYMORE. YOU LOVE HER AND YOU SHOULDN'T HIDE THAT JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO FIT IN. I'M GUESSING PIPPI LIKES DANCING.
Ava says, SHE LOVES IT.
Isadora says, I COULD TRY A BIT OF MAGIC ON HER IF YOU WANT.
[Chiming]
The hedgehog stuffy, Pippi, rises in the air and floats around Pink Rabbit as he dances.
Ava says, WHOA!
[Isadora and Ava giggling]
Ava says, BRILLIANT! YOU REALLY ARE MAGICAL!
Isadora says, YOU KNOW, IT WAS HURTFUL WHEN YOU SAID I WASN'T A REAL VAMPIRE-FAIRY. BUT I KNOW WHO I AM AND I LOVE BEING ME.

[Ava giggling]

In the Moon family’s backyard, Isadora flies, spinning with Pink Rabbit in the air. They fly past carrot-shaped balloons and a table filled with food. On the grass, J.J., Oliver, Zoe, and Sashi sit while Ava stands holding Pippi.
Isadora cheers, WEE!
[Giggling]
Zoe holds a monkey stuffed toy, Sashi has a toy robot, Oliver holds a toy dinosaur, and J.J. leans against a soccer ball.
Zoe says, THIS IS COCO. I MADE HIM IN TOY-MAKING CLUB.

[Crunching]
Isadora takes a carrot and bites it.
