[Upbeat music notes play, Bartholomew sighing, Boris snoring]
In the Moon castle, Bartholomew stretches on a chaise lounge. Boris the bat hangs over a mirror on a fireplace mantel.
Bartholomew says, WHAT A STUPENDOUS NAP. YOU KNOW, I KNOW YOU LIKE SLEEPING UPSIDE DOWN, BORIS, BUT LET ME TELL YOU, HORIZONTAL IS PRETTY GOOD, TOO.
[Screaming, dramatic music plays]
Bartholomew looks at his reflection in the mirror
Bartholomew shouts, A STICKING-UP HAIR!
[Sighing, light music plays]
Bartholomew says, MY MISTAKE. I AM PERFECT AS ALWAYS. YOU KNOW ME, BORIS. I LIKE EVERYTHING IN ITS RIGHT PLACE.
[Humming, Boris snoring, upbeat music plays, door squeaking]
Bartholomew leaves the room, and Boris falls asleep. Bartholomew opens Isadora’s bedroom door.
Bartholomew says, GOOD AFTERNOON, ISADORA—
[Bartholomew shouting, doorbell ringing, door creaking, Isadora gasping]
Isadora opens the front door, and her cousin Mirabelle and her Uncle Alvin enter. Mirabelle has long green hair that is light green on one side and dark green on the other. She wears a dark green shirt with stars and a light and dark green skirt. Alvin has short pink hair and green wings. He wears green pants, a blue shirt, a green necktie, and a green vest with pink flowers.
Isadore says, MIRABELLE! UNCLE ALVIN!
Mirabelle grabs Isadora’s arm.
Mirabelle says, ISADORA, STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING. COME WITH US RIGHT NOW!
[Light music plays, bird chirping]
Alvin says, WHAT MIRABELLE'S TRYING TO SAY IS WE'VE GOT A TICKET TO THE BROOMSTICK CHAMPIONSHIPS. WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN US?
[Isadora sighing, whooshing]
Isadora flies in a loop.
Isadora says, THE BROOMSTICK CHAMPIONSHIPS? WHERE THEY DO ALL THOSE AMAZING BROOMSTICK STUNTS IN THE AIR? YES, PLEASE!
Bartholomew walks down the stairs to the foyer.
Bartholomew says, NOT SO FAST! BEFORE YOU GO ANYWHERE, YOU NEED TO TIDY YOUR ROOM.
Isadora lands on the floor.
Isadora says, BUT. OH. CAN'T I DO IT LATER?
Bartholomew says, SORRY, ISADORA. YOU'VE BEEN SAYING THAT SINCE ZOE CAME FOR A SLEEPOVER THREE DAYS AGO. AND THE MESS IS…
[Retching]
Isadora says, OH.
Alvin says, DON'T WORRY. I'M SURE MIRABELLE WON'T MIND HELPING.
[Mirabelle gasping]
Mirabelle says, I WON'T?
Alvin says, I MEAN, HOW BAD COULD IT BE?
In Isadora’s bedroom, Mirabelle says, NEXT YEAR'S BROOMSTICK CHAMPIONSHIPS WILL BE OVER BY THE TIME WE'VE TIDIED THIS.
[Isadora sighing, slide whistle, dramatic music notes play]
Toys, books, empty juice boxes, pillows and clothes are strewn across the floor of the room. Pink Rabbit sits on a bench by the window and reads a book.
Mirabelle asks, CAN'T YOU USE YOUR WAND TO SPEED THINGS UP A BIT?
Isadora says, MMM.
[Chiming, sighing]
Isadora waves her wand, and a sock floats to a drawer.
Isadora says, IT'S NOT QUICKER THAN USING OUR HANDS. I WISH MY MAGIC WAS AS POWERFUL AS YOUR POTIONS.
[Light music plays]
Mirabelle says, I SUPPOSE YOU'RE RIGHT. MY POTIONS ARE PRETTY AMAZING.
[Isadora gasping]
Isadora says, I'LL BET YOU KNOW A BRILLIANT ONE THAT'LL TIDY THE WHOLE ROOM FOR US.
Mirabelle says, MAYBE BUT-- MY DAD SAYS I'M NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE POTIONS AT OTHER PEOPLE'S HOUSES ANYONE. NOT SINCE I WAS AT MY SISTER PRIMROSE'S AND TURNED HER MUM INTO A CHICKEN.
[Isadora giggling]
Mirabelle says, IT'S NOT FUNNY. SHE STILL CLUCKS IN HER SLEEP.
[Both giggling]
Isadora says, BUT IT'S JUST ONE TEENY-TINY POTION AND YOU DON'T ALWAYS HAVE TO DO WHAT UNCLE ALVIN SAYS.
Mirabelle says, THAT'S TRUE. ALL RIGHT, I'LL DO IT.
Isadora says, YES!
[Both giggling, upbeat music plays, bubbling]
Mirabelle and Isadora kneel on the floor with a cauldron and a box of ingredients. Mirabelle pours ingredients from beakers into the cauldron.
Mirabelle says, HMM. SOME GLOW WORM GLOOP. A LITTLE CAT CLAW. NOT TOO MUCH. AND THIS SPECIAL INGREDIENT.
Mirabelle holds up a hairbrush with strands of green hair.
Isadora says, A HAIRBRUSH?
[Mirabelle giggling, upbeat music plays]
Mirabelle says, NO! I NEED A STRAND OF MY HAIR. I'M GOING TO MAKE A MAGIC MIRABELLE. WITH THREE OF US, WE CAN TIDY UP IN NO TIME. THEN GO AND WATCH THE WILDEST BROOMSTICK STUNTS EVER!
Isadora asks, YOU CAN REALLY DO THAT?
Mirabelle replies, SURE! I THINK. OH, WELL. HERE IT GOES.
[Rustling, tense music plays, bubbling, both giggling, whooshing, gasping]
Mirabelle puts strands of her hair in the cauldron. Sparkling green smoke fills the room, and three more Mirabelles appear.
Mirabelle says, ONE MIRABELLE MORE TO TIDY UP THE FLOOR.
[Upbeat music plays]
Isadora asks, UM, HOW MANY MAGIC MIRABELLES WERE YOU TRYING TO MAKE AGAIN?
Mirabelle says, AH! I MUST HAVE ADDED THREE STRANDS OF HAIR BY MISTAKE.
[Giggling, bed creaking]
A Mirabelle jumps on Isadora’s bed. Another Mirabelle looks at a book, and the third picks up a microphone.
Isadora says, THIS IS EVEN BETTER. WITH THREE MAGIC MIRABELLES, WE'LL BE ABLE TO TIDY FASTER THAN EVER.
The magical Mirabelle jumping on the bed says, TIDY? LET'S PLAY A GAME INSTEAD!
The second magical Mirabelle says, OH, YAY! I LOVE GAMES!
Isadora says, OH, UM. SORRY. THAT'S NOT REALLY WHY YOU'RE—
The second magical Mirabelle says, WAIT! ARE YOU HALF-FAIRY? WHICH HALF? WHEN DID YOU GET YOUR WAND? FAIRIES ARE SO FASCINATING.
The third magical Mirabelle says, FAIRY-SCHMARIES. BEING A WITCH IS WAY MORE FUN! HUBBLE-BUBBLE. LET'S CAUSE SOME TROUBLE!
[A magical Mirabelle cheering]
The second and third magical Mirabelles run towards the open bedroom door, and Isadora blocks them.
Isadora says, WAIT! UH, TIDYING CAN BE FUN, TOO.
The real Mirabelle says, HANG ON. WHY ARE THERE ONLY TWO MAGIC MIRABELLES?
[A magic Mirabelle giggling distantly, dramatic music notes play]
The real Mirabelle says, IF DAD FINDS OUT I'VE MADE A POTION, THERE WILL BE NO BROOMSTICK CHAMPIONSHIPS. TIDY ROOM OR NOT.
[Isadora gasping]
The real Mirabelle runs out of the bedroom.
Isadora says, UM, PINK RABBIT WILL KEEP YOU COMPANY.
[Door slamming, creaking]
Isadora leaves and then opens the bedroom door, looking back in.
Isadora says, AND IF YOU WANTED TO TIDY UP WHILE WE'RE GONE, YOU KNOW, GO FOR IT.
[Door closing]
Isadora leaves, and the two magical Mirabelles cross their arms. Pink Rabbit’s shoulders slump.
By the chaise lounge, Oscar, a ghost, counts, EIGHT, NINE, TEN! COMING! READY OR NOT—
Isadora and the real Mirabelle run into the room.
Oscar says, HA! I FOUND YOU, MIRABELLE! OH, I JUST ADORE PLAYING CONCEAL ONESELF AND SEARCH. WHAT A NOVEL GAME.
The real Mirabelle says, HUH?
Isadora says, HE MEANS HIDE AND SEEK.
[A magical Mirabelle giggling, upbeat music plays]
The magical Mirabelle hides between the chaise lounge and a curtain.
Isadora says, UH-OH. OH, OSCAR. YOU START COUNTING, AND MIRABELLE WILL HIDE. I MEAN, CONCEAL HERSELF AGAIN.
Oscar says, OH, WELL, IT WAS MY TURN, BUT OKAY!
[Giggling]
Oscar covers his eyes.
Oscar counts, ONE, TWO, THREE--
Isadora whispers to the magical Mirabelle, HEY, I KNOW A MUCH BETTER HIDING PLACE.
The magical Mirabelle says, OH, YAY!
Isadora and the two Mirabelles sneak past Oscar.
Oscar says, FOUR, FIVE, SIX.
[Door opening, tires screeching]
Isadora pushes the magical Mirabelle into the bedroom, and the real Mirabelle follows.
The magical Mirabelle says, OH. YOUR ROOM.
Isadora says, YEAH! OSCAR WILL NEVER FIND YOU. AND YOU COULD ALWAYS TIDY UP A BIT WHILE YOU'RE HERE.
[Upbeat music continues]
The real Mirabelle says, UM, ISADORA. NOW, THERE'S ONLY ONE MAGIC MIRABELLE.
Isadora says, OH. LET'S SPLIT UP AND FIND THEM. WAIT. HOW WILL I KNOW YOU'RE THE REAL MIRABELLE AND NOT A MAGIC ONE?
The real Mirabelle says, WE COULD USE A CODE WORD. UM, SPIDER--
[Isadora giggling]
Isadora says, SOCKS!
[Both giggling, Cordelia humming, shears snipping]
The real Mirabelle and Isadora run out of the room. Outside, Cordelia uses her magic to trim a tree into a dog shape.
A magical Mirabelle says, FASCINATING!
[Clanking]
A magical Mirabelle stands behind Cordelia, who startles. The shears fall to the ground.
A magical Mirabelle asks, IS THAT YOUR ONLY WAND? WHAT'S THE BIGGEST THING YOU'VE EVER GROWN? CAN YOU FLAP YOUR WINGS AS FAST AS A BAT? OR A BEE?
[Cordelia giggling]
Cordelia says, WELL, I NEVER. MIRABELLE INTERESTED IN FAIRY THINGS. YOUR DAD WOULD BE DELIGHTED.
[Door creaking]
Isadora opens the back door and looks outside.
Isadora says, UH, SPIDER?
Cordelia asks, SPIDER WHAT? ARE YOU FEELING OKAY, ISADORA?
[Isadora laughing nervously, birds chirping]
Isadora says, UH, FINE. HEY, MIRABELLE. WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE TIDYING MY ROOM. REMEMBER?
The magical Mirabelle says, AW! CAN'T ONE OF THE OTHER MIRABELLES DO IT?
Isadora says, OH, ONE OF THE OTHER MIRABELLES? SHE'S SO FUNNY.
[Door clicking]
Isadora leads the magical Mirabelle inside. Cordelia watches them and arches her eyebrow.
Cordelia says, OH.
[Scraping]
Inside, Isadora pushes the magical Mirabelle.
Bartholomew shouts, WHOA! WHOA!
Isadora asks, WHAT WAS THAT?
[Bartholomew screaming]
In the foyer, a magical Mirabelle rides a broomstick in circles around Bartholomew. The real Mirabelle runs down the stairs.
The flying magical Mirabelle says, HUBBLE! DOUBLE! TROUBLE!
[Whooshing]
The flying magical Mirabelle rides her broomstick up the stairs.
The real Mirabelle says, WOW! EVEN I'VE NEVER FLOWN THAT FAST INDOORS.
[Light music plays]
Bartholomew says, OH, VERY IMPRESSIVE, MIRABELLE. BUT NEXT TIME MAYBE LEAVE THE BROOMSTICK STUNTS TO THE PROFESSIONALS.
The real Mirabelle says, IT WASN'T ME!
[Bartholomew chuckling]
Bartholomew says, OH? WELL, THEN THERE MUST BE TWO MIRABELLES IN THIS HOUSE.
The real Mirabelle says, WELL, NOT TWO.
[Isadora panting]
Isadora runs to the real Mirabelle.
Isadora says, SPIDER?
The real Mirabelle says, SOCKS!
[Isadora sighing, footsteps tapping]
Isadora takes the real Mirabelle’s hand, and they run out of the foyer.
Bartholomew says, SPIDER SOCKS?
[Isadora gasping]
Isadora says, I LEFT A MAGIC MIRABELLE HERE, AND NOW SHE'S GONE. MAYBE A POTION WASN'T THE BEST IDEA AFTER ALL.
Distantly, a magical Mirabelle shouts, WEE!
[Isadora gasping, magical Mirabelles laughing]
Isadora and the real Mirabelle look through the windows and see the three magical Mirabelles playing in the backyard with Oscar.
A magical Mirabelle says, WEE!
Isadora says, NOW ALL THREE ARE ON THE LOOSE. WE NEED TO ROUND THEM UP FAST.
[Magical Mirabelles giggling, energetic music plays]
In the plant room, Isadora and the real Mirabelle walk past plants, and the magical Mirabelles poke their heads out of hiding after they pass.
[Magical Mirabelles giggling]
A magical Mirabelle runs past Bartholomew in the kitchen.
Bartholomew says, HI, MIRABELLE.
[Magical Mirabelle giggling]
A second magical Mirabelle hops past Bartholomew in the kitchen.
Bartholomew says, HELLO, MIRABELLE.
[Light music plays]
In the living room, Alvin sits on a couch and flips through a magazine. A shadow falls across the pages, and he notices a Mirabelle kneeling on the arm of the couch.
Alvin says, HUH? OH, I DIDN'T EXPECT TO SEE YOU THERE, MIRABELLE.
[Magical Mirabelle giggling]
In the dining room, Oscar chases a magical Mirabelle. The flying magical Mirabelle rides her broomstick behind him, and Bartholomew chases her.
Alvin says, OR THERE.
A magical Mirabelle says, HUBBLE-BUBBLE!
Alvin says, AND THERE.
[Dramatic music notes play]
Bartholomew says, AH!
[Crashing, clattering, Alvin sighing, pages rustling]
Alvin closes his magazine.
Alvin says, COME ON THEN.
In the dining room, Bartholomew sits on the floor by two magical Mirabelles. Cordelia, the real Mirabelle, and Isadora stand behind him, and Oscar floats above him.
Bartholomew says OH, NO. I MUST HAVE BUMPED MY HEAD TOO HARD. I'M SEEING DOUBLE.
Alvin arrives holding the hand of a magical Mirabelle.
Bartholomew says, HUH? MAKE THAT TRIPLE! QUADRUPLE?
Alvin says, I CAN'T HELP FEELING THIS HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH A POTION.
[Forced laughing, whooshing, Oscar giggling, flying magical Mirabelle cheering, soft music plays]
In the backyard, Oscar and two magical Mirabelles watch the flying Mirabelle on her broomstick. Alvin stands with his hands on his hips, facing the real Mirabelle. Isadora, Cordelia, and Bartholomew stand nearby.
Alvin says, I'M DISAPPOINTED YOU MADE A POTION WHEN I SPECIFICALLY ASKED YOU NOT TO.
The real Mirabelle says, SORRY, DAD. I GUESS THAT MEANS I CAN'T GO TO THE BROOMSTICK CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Alvin says, I'M AFRAID SO.
[Birds chirping]
Isadora says, BUT IT WASN'T MIRABELLE. IT WAS ME.
Cordelia says, ISADORA, THAT'S VERY NICE OF YOU, BUT YOU CAN'T MAKE POTIONS.
Isadora says, I MEAN MIRABELLE WOULD NEVER HAVE MADE THE POTION IF IT WASN'T FOR ME. SHE TOLD ME SHE WASN'T ALLOWED, BUT I WANTED TO GO TO THE BROOMSTICK CHAMPIONSHIPS SO BADLY. I TALKED HER INTO IT. SO, IT'S ME WHO SHOULDN'T GO.
Alvin says, I SEE. WELL, IN THAT CASE. MAYBE YOU CAN STILL GO, MIRABELLE.
[The real Mirabelle gasping, upbeat music plays, Isadora giggling]
The real Mirabelle hugs Isadora.
The real Mirabelle says, OH, THANK YOU, ISADORA! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Alvin says, AFTER YOU'VE HELPED ISADORA TIDY HER ROOM.
[The adults laughing, whooshing]
Isadora and the real Mirabelle run inside. Later, Bartholomew, Cordelia, and Alvin watch Oscar wave red flags as the magical Mirabelles race on broomsticks.
Bartholomew says, WAHOO! OH! THIS IS BETTER THAN THE BROOMSTICK CHAMPIONSHIPS.
[Door squeaking]
Isadora and the real Mirabelle run outside.
Isadora cheers, WE DID IT!
The real Mirabelle says, ONE TIDILY TIDY, SPICK AND SPAN BEDROOM.

[Bartholomew sighing]
Bartholomew says, EXCELLENT. NOW, HOW ABOUT A REVERSE POTION FOR ALL THESE MAGIC MIRABELLES?
Cordelia says, YES, WE LOVE HAVING MIRABELLE OVER TO VISIT, BUT THREE EXTRA MIRABELLES IS, UH--
Alvin says, BIT MUCH?
Cordelia says, HMM.
[Alvin and Cordelia chuckling]
The real Mirabelle says, I AGREE. HERE IT GOES.
[Chiming, bubbling, exploding]
Mirabelle pours liquid from a beaker into her cauldron, and green smoke appears.
The magical Mirabelles say, HUBBLE-BUBBLE! FASCINATING!
[Popping]
The magical Mirabelles disappear, and Oscar’s shoulders slump.
Oscar says, OH.
[Light music plays]
Mirabelle says, ALL DONE. NO MORE MAGIC MIRABELLES. WE CAN GO NOW, DAD.
Mirabelle and Alvin enter the house.
[Isadora sighing]
Alvin looks back through the doorway.
Alvin asks, AREN'T YOU COMING?
Isadora says, BUT—
Alvin says, YOUR MUM AND DAD SAID YOU COULD STILL GO ON ONE CONDITION.
[Mirabelle giggling]
Mirabelle says, YOU HAVE TO HELP ME TIDY MY ROOM NEXT TIME YOU VISIT.
[Alvin chuckling]
Alvin says, AND NO POTIONS ALLOWED.
Isadora flies in a loop.
Isadora cheers, YAHOO! YES! THANK YOU SO MUCH, UNCLE ALVIN.
[Children giggling]
Isadora follows Mirabelle into the house.
Alvin says, YOU HAVEN'T SEEN HOW MESSY HER ROOM IS YET.
[Adults laughing, popping, upbeat music plays]
