Isadora Moon.

Descriptive Transcript.

[Upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: In an animation, stars twinkle in the night sky over a pink and white castle. Some of the turrets are grey and black, and others are pink and white. Isadora Moon flies up in front of the full moon and waves her wand. She has long black hair, pink bat-like wings, and two sharp fangs. Isadora wears a grey sweater over a pink dress with black stars on the skirt. She wears black-and-white striped leggings and pink boots.

[Song] Isadora Moon, the one and only, here I go. I'm totally unique and extra-starry. Waving my wand, flying fearlessly, yeah.

DESCRIPTION: Isadora stands with her parents, Countess Cordelia Moon and Count Bartholomew Moon. Cordelia has long, curly, pink hair and wears flowers in it. She has transparent, butterfly-like green wings and wears a green sweater and a pink dress. Bartholomew has short black hair and fangs. He wears a long black-and-purple cape, grey pants, and a grey-striped vest over a red shirt.

[Song] It's your girl, Isadora, a little bit of both, half a vampire, half a fairy.

DESCRIPTION: Isadora holds Pink Rabbit’s paw as she flies. Isadora transforms into a mermaid, then into a grey-and-pink cat.

[Opening Credits] Written by Stephanie Wahlstrom. Theme song by Helen Park. Series Director, William Gordon. Based on the Isadora Moon Books and Characters by Harriet Muncaster.

[Song] Ready for a new, exciting journey, sparkly and extraordinary. Yeah, that's me, Isadora. Watch me be.

[Title] Isadora Moon.

[Episode Title] Hide and Shriek.

[Upbeat music plays, tap, squeak]

DESCRIPTION: In Isador’s bedroom in the Moon Castle, Pink Rabbit stands on a stack of books and adjusts a witch hat decoration that dangles from a string of witch hats and black cat faces.

ISADORA: Ooh. Amazing! Looks great, Pink Rabbit! Quick, Mirabelle will be here any minute! Let's be extra kind to Mirabelle today. Okay? She might be feeling sad because she's missing the Wild Witch Gala tomorrow.

[Boing]

DESCRIPTION: Pink Rabbit jumps to the floor.

ISADORA: She practiced so hard for it, but then her teammate Carlotta got frogpox.

[Door creaks]

DESCRIPTION: Bartholomew opens the door.

BARTHOLOMEW: Mirabelle's here, darling. She didn't try to turn anyone into a frog, so I think she's feeling a bit out of sorts.

DESCRIPTION: Mirabelle enters the room.

MIRABELLE: Hi, Isadora.

BARTHOLOMEW: You two have fun.

[Door slams, light music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Bartholomew leaves.

ISADORA: Oh, we'll have some fun. Witchy fun.

[Isadora giggles]

MIRABELLE: What do you mean?

ISADORA: Well... I know you're sad that you and Carlotta couldn't compete in the Wild Witch Gala together.

MIRABELLE: Ugh, we definitely would've won.

ISADORA: So, I prepared our very own wondrous wacky witch gala. We can be a team instead.

MIRABELLE: What? For real?

[Whoosh]

DESCRIPTION: Isadora holds an open notebook with pictures of a witch hat, a potion bottle, a broomstick, and a black cat.

ISADORA: Yep! There's a wacky witch obstacle course, a wonderous magic grape taste test, and the wacky wondrous bat hat round.

MIRABELLE: Oh, Isadora, thank you. We're going to ace this wacky, wondrous witch gala.

BOTH: Team Miradora!

[Hands slap, both giggle]

DESCRIPTION: They high-five.

ISADORA: If you'll help with the potion, I'll try and fly on a broom so we can be witches together.

[Mirabelle gasps, claps]

MIRABELLE: This is going to be even better than a real witch gala.

[Gasps]

MIRABELLE: Maybe we can turn stuff into warty swamp toads.

[Tense music plays, whoosh, Isadora giggles]

DESCRIPTION: On the bed, Pink Rabbit turns away from a witch’s hat he was arranging and looks at Mirabelle.

ISADORA: Don't worry, Pink Rabbit, promise we won't turn you into a toad.

[Both giggle]

ISADORA: Come on, we need to find me a broom.

[Whoosh, upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: In the plant room, Isadora and Mirabelle look into empty pots.

ISADORA: Hm. I know there's one in here somewhere. Hm.

DESCRIPTION: Mirabelle looks in a pot, and Oscar pops out.

OSCAR: Boo!

MIRABELLE: Oh!

OSCAR SINGS: Do-re-me fa-so-la-ti.

OSCAR SINGS OFF-KEY: Doh!

MIRABELLE: Ugh.

ISADORA: Oh, Oscar, what are you doing in the pot?

[Upbeat music plays]

OSCAR: Well, I come into the plant room all the time to sing. It has magnificent acoustics!

OSCAR SINGS: Do re mi. Fa-so-la-ti! Doh!

MIRABELLE: Ugh.

[Isadora claps, giggles]

OSCAR: Ah, thank you. Thank you. So, what are we doing?

ISADORA: You're looking at Team Miradora. I've organized a wonderous wacky witch gala for me and Mirabelle.

OSCAR: Oh, fun! Oh, oh, oh, please can I join in?

[Isadora giggles]

DESCRIPTION: Isadora looks at Mirabelle, who stands with her arms crossed, frowning.

ISADORA: Um...Team Miradora versus Oscar?

MIRABELLE: Ugh. Ghosts aren't known for being great witches.

OSCAR: Oh, well, just you wait until you hear my witchy laugh.

[Oscar clears his throat, high-pitched cackling]

MIRABELLE: I've never laughed like that!

DESCRIPTION: Mirabelle walks away, and Isadora and Oscar shrug at each other. Mirabelle picks up a broom.

[Mirabelle gasps]

MIRABELLE: A-ha! You can use this broom, Isadora.

ISADORA: Oh, perfect!

[Whoosh, clank, upbeat music plays, potion splashes]

DESCRIPTION: Mirabelle puts the broom on the floor and opens her potion case. She pours a green potion on the broomstick.

MIRABELLE: Hazel bloom, kitten zoom. Make this broom fly 'round the room.

[Whoosh, Isadora gasps, Mirabelle laughs]

DESCRIPTION: The broom floats up with Isadora holding the handle. She sits on it and flies around the plant room.

ISADORA: Whoa! Ooh! Amazing!

OSCAR: Woo-hoo!

MIRABELLE: Yes!

[They laugh]

ISADORA: Woo-hoo!

OSCAR: Now we just need a broom for me.

[Brakes screech]

DESCRIPTION: Isadora stops her broom and grabs a vacuum handle.

ISADORA: Oh, how about this? Not a broom, but it does the same kind of job, just needs a bit of your magic, Mirabelle.

[Oscar gasps, magic chimes]

DESCRIPTION: Mirabelle casts a spell on the vacuum.

OSCAR: Can you make it fly?

MIRABELLE: I can make anything fly.

[Whoosh]

DESCRIPTION: Isadora flies on her broomstick.

ISADORA: Whee!

DESCRIPTION: In the garden, Mirabelle and Isadora stand by an obstacle course, with Oscar floating beside his vacuum. The obstacle course includes a tunnel of boxes open on their sides, benches, upright hoops, and climbing walls set up in an A-frame.

ISADORA: I declare the wonderous wacky witch gala open!

[Oscar gasps]

OSCAR: What do we win? What do we win?

ISADORA: This.

DESCRIPTION: Isadora holds a trophy made of golden cups, an empty toilet paper roll, green ribbons, two halves of a ring for handles, and a picture of a witch hat. The trophy gleams.

OSCAR AND MIRABELLE: Ooh.

[Mirabelle gasps]

MIRABELLE: Thanks, Isadora. You even made a trophy! It's going to be ours.

OSCAR: Not if I win.

[Grass rustles, whoosh, upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Isadora puts the trophy on the ground and flies over the course.

ISADORA: Right. First, it's the wacky witch obstacle course. You have to get all the way around without knocking anything down.

OSCAR: Oh, forsooth, how doth this contraption fly?

MIRABELLE: I've already put a spell on it, just press the 'on' button.

OSCAR: Oh, well, why didn't you say?

[Oscar giggles, click, whoosh, Oscar shouts, Isadora gasps, vacuum whirrs, exciting music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Oscar pushes the button, and the flying vacuum drags him through the air. Oscar flies into the boxes and through the side of one. He knocks over the benches and hoops.

OSCAR: Whoa!

[Vacuum whirrs, boards clatter]

DESCRIPTION: Oscar flies over Mirabelle’s head, and she ducks. He knocks over the climbing wall.

OSCAR: Ooh! Ahh! Whoa!

[Vacuum bangs]

DESCRIPTION: The vacuum crashes into the garden wall and falls. Oscar flies through the wall and pokes his head back through.

OSCAR: Whoops.

[Birds chirp, the music stops]

ISADORA: Okay, I guess that's the end of the obstacle course then.

[Light music plays]

OSCAR: Sorry, um, perchance you made the spell too strong, Mirabelle.

MIRABELLE: What?

[Oscar chuckles]

OSCAR: Well, I... on the upside, that's a point to Team Miradora!

[Oscar chuckles]

OSCAR: Whoo.

ISADORA: Never mind. We have more events to do. Come on.

[Broom clatters, Mirabelle grunts, bowl clinks]

DESCRIPTION: Isadora flies away, and Mirabelle drops her broom. Inside at the kitchen table, Isadora puts a bowl of colourful grapes on the table between Mirabelle and Oscar.

ISADORA: Round two. The wonderous magic grape tasting.

[Mirabelle gasps]

MIRABELLE: I love this game.

OSCAR: Me, too! What's the game?

[Isadora giggles, upbeat music plays]

ISADORA: Oh, it's super fun. Mum magicked up these special grapes, and they all taste different. Some are delicious, like apple or strawberry, and others... not so much.

MIRABELLE: I had one that tasted like dirt at witch camp last year.

[Mirabelle laughs]

MIRABELLE: It was so gross.

DESCRIPTION: Oscar furrows his eyebrows.

OSCAR: Yes. I'm afraid I don't get it. Must be a modern thing.

ISADORA: You see, we each take turns eating a magic grape. If you make a gross face, you're out. I'll show you.

[Munches, hums, gasps]

DESCRIPTION: Isadora eats a purple grape.

ISADORA: Carrot.

[Oscar and Mirabelle laugh, Mirabelle munches]

DESCRIPTION: Oscar and Mirabelle reach for the grapes, and Mirabelle takes one and eats it.

MIRABELLE: Lemon! Uh, it's sour but not gross.

ISADORA: Go on, Oscar, it's your turn.

OSCAR: Ooh, very good, yes.

[Pop, slide whistle]

DESCRIPTION: Oscar throws a grape in his mouth, and it flies through his head.

OSCAR: Mm. Up. Oh. Ghosts don't eat.

ISADORA: Oh. Try it again. Maybe if you really concentrate, you'll taste something.

OSCAR: Right.

[Pop, slide whistle]

DESCRIPTION: Oscar takes another grape, and it flies through his head.

OSCAR: Nope.

MIRABELLE: Oh, well, too bad. You're out!

DESCRIPTION: Oscar grabs the bowl of grapes.

OSCAR: What? No, I'm sure I can do this.

[Bowl shatters]

DESCRIPTION: Oscar throws the bowl towards his mouth, and it lands on the floor behind him.

OSCAR: Whoopsie!

MIRABELLE: Yup, you're out.

OSCAR: Oh.

[Light music plays]

ISADORA: Maybe the obstacle course and magic grapes haven't totally worked out. Don't worry, Oscar, round three is going to be wonderous and wacky.

[Door opens, slams, light music continues]

DESCRIPTION: Isadora, Oscar, and Mirabelle enter Isadora’s bedroom. Strings of star-shaped lights dangle from the ceiling, and bunting with green flags hangs on the walls. Pink Rabbit stands on a table beside a large witch hat.

MIRABELLE: Wow. Nice decorations.

ISADORA: Me and Pink Rabbit did them.

[Isadora giggles]

DESCRIPTION: Pink Rabbit puts his paws on his hips and arches his eyebrow at Isadora.

ISADORA: Well, mostly Pink Rabbit.

MIRABELLE: Oh, thanks, Pink Rabbit.

[Jump boings]

DESCRIPTION: Pink Rabbit jumps to the floor.

ISADORA: Okay, it's time for...the wonderous wacky bat hat round.

[Mirabelle gasps, the music stops]

MIRABELLE: My favourite game!

[Light music plays]

OSCAR: Um, Team Oscar would like some more information, please.

[Whoosh]

DESCRIPTION: Isadora takes out her wand and stands by the witch hat.

ISADORA: Basically, there's a thing in the middle of the room, and you have to turn it into another thing that rhymes, like this. Hat.

[Magic chimes]

DESCRIPTION: Isadora casts a spell on the hat, and it changes into a baseball bat.

ISADORA: Bat!

[Magic chimes]

DESCRIPTION: Mirabelle casts a spell and changes the bat into a doormat.

MIRABELLE: Doormat!

[Magic chimes]

DESCRIPTION: Isadora casts a spell and changes the doormat into a pink sun hat.

ISADORA: Sun hat.

[Mirabelle gasps]

DESCRIPTION: Mirabelle moves towards the sun hat, and Isadora puts her arm up and blocks her.

ISADORA: Come on, Oscar. Have a go.

OSCAR: Oh, but I can't do magic.

ISADORA: Oh, right. Um... Why don't you think of the word, and I'll do the magic.

MIRABELLE: That's cheating!

ISADORA: I'm just trying to include Oscar.

MIRABELLE: Ugh.

ISADORA: Come on, Oscar, what rhymes with "sunhat"?

OSCAR: Oh, uh, chat.

DESCRIPTION: Mirabelle stands with her arms crossed, watching Oscar with narrowed eyes.

OSCAR: Hat. Splat. Oh, I know, rat-a-tat-tat.

MIRABELLE: Oscar! They're not even things! Cat, rat, gnat, I can think of a million words.

OSCAR: Oh. I'm not good under pressure. Everything in this wondrous, wacky witch gala requires magic!

[Oscar sobs, whoosh]

DESCRIPTION: Oscar flies into Isadora’s bed.

OSCAR: I-I don't do magic!

[Oscar groans, tense music plays]

MIRABELLE: In that case, you can just sing into your flowerpot and leave the magic to Team Miradora!

OSCAR: Well, that's not very nice. In that case, I don't like your magic.

MIRABELLE: Now, who's not being very nice?

DESCRIPTION: Isadora covers her ears and shuts her eyes.

OSCAR: I know you are, but what am I?

ISADORA: Oh, stop it!

[The music stops]

ISADORA: All you've done is blah blah blah at each other.

[Isadora sighs, door opens, slams, soft music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Isadora leaves the room.

MIRABELLE: I didn't want the wondrous, wacky witch gala to be over.

OSCAR: Neither did I. I'm sorry I was a nincompoop and messed up all the games.

MIRABELLE: I'm sorry, too. I wasn't making it easy for you to join in.

OSCAR: I think we should make it up to Isadora.

[Whoosh]

[Wood clatters, hands slap]

DESCRIPTION: Outside in the garden, Isadora throws broken boards into a wheelbarrow. She rubs her hands together.

ISADORA: Oh.

DESCRIPTION: Pink Rabbit, Mirabelle and Oscar approach. Pink Rabbit walks to Isadora and holds her hand.

MIRABELLE: I'm sorry, Isadora. You and Pink Rabbit worked so hard to give me a witchy gala, it was amazing. I wish I'd shared it with you, Oscar.

OSCAR: Oh, heh, no harm done. I'm sorry, too.

MIRABELLE: Oscar and I have an idea for a game we could all play!

ISADORA: Oh! What kind of game?

[Upbeat music plays]

OSCAR: It's called hide and shriek! And you don't need any magic.

MIRABELLE: It's like hide and seek, but when someone is close to finding you, you jump out and try to scare them first. If they shriek, you win.

OSCAR: Oh, I shall excel at this merry jaunt. I've had centuries of practice.

ISADORA: I love it. It's a game for witches, fairy vampires, ghosts, and even stuffed rabbits. And whatever happens, we all win this!

[Everyone cheers]

DESCRIPTION: Isadora holds up the trophy.

OSCAR: Wow!

MIRABELLE: Awesome! Go, Team Miradora Oscar Rabbit!

MIRABELLE AND OSCAR: Woo-hoo!

[Everyone giggles]

MIRABELLE: You all hide first.

[Oscar and Isadora giggle]

DESCRIPTION: Mirabelle covers her eyes.

MIRABELLE: One, two...

[Oscar and Isadora giggle]

MIRABELLE: Three, four.

ISADORA: Come on.

[Oscar grunts]

DESCRIPTION: Oscar and Isadora fly away from Mirabelle.

MIRABELLE: Five, six...

[Oscar and Isadora giggle]

MIRABELLE: Seven, eight...

[Oscar giggles, whooshes]

DESCRIPTION:

MIRABELLE: Nine, 10!

[Broom whooshes, boing upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Mirabelle uncovers her eyes. She puts out her hand, and her broom flies into it. In Isadora’s bedroom, Mirabelle pokes a lump under the blanket, and Pink Rabbit sits up. He hops out of bed and runs to the door.

MIRABELLE: Gotcha! Wait for me!

[Brakes screech, jumps boing]

DESCRIPTION: In the plant room, Pink Rabbit jumps and points at a pot. Mirabelle pokes her head into the pot.

MIRABELLE: Hm. I wonder who's in here.

OSCAR: Ooo-hoo-hoo!

[Whoosh, Mirabelle giggles]

DESCRIPTION: Oscar flies up, and Mirabelle smiles.

OSCAR: Oh, what japes. You found me!

[Whoosh]

DESCRIPTION: In the kitchen, Pink Rabbit stands on a counter behind Mirabelle, and Oscar floats over the table.

MIRABELLE: She's got to be here somewhere.

[Bartholomew hums]

DESCRIPTION: Bartholomew enters the kitchen and opens a cabinet beneath the counter.

ISADORA: Boo!

BARTHOLOMEW: Ahh!

[Crashing]

DESCRIPTION: Bartholomew falls backwards.

[Everyone giggles, laughs]

[Pop, upbeat music plays]
