Isadora Moon

[Upbeat theme music]

DESCRIPTION: Moonlight shines on a pink, white, and gray castle. Isadora Moon flies and dances while holding her magic wand. Isadora has black hair, pointed fairy ears, vampire fangs, and pink bat wings. She wears a purple cardigan, pink boots, black-and-white striped tights, and a pink skirt with star details.

SINGERS: Isadora Moon the one and only, here I go! I'm totally unique and extra-starry. Waving my wand, flying fearlessly, yeah! It's your girl, Isadora.

DESCRIPTION: Isadora stands with her parents, Countess Cordelia Moon and Count Bartholomew Moon. Cordelia has long, curly, pink hair and wears flowers in it. She has transparent, butterfly-like green wings and wears a green sweater and a pink dress. Bartholomew has short black hair and fangs. He wears a long black-and-purple cape, grey pants, and a grey-striped vest over a red shirt.

SINGERS: A little bit of both, half a vampire, half a fairy!

DESCRIPTION: Isadora flies through the air, and a trail of pink sparkles follows her. She is holding Pink Rabbit’s paw, a rabbit stuffed animal with pink fur, a fuzzy white tail, and black-and-white striped ears.

[Opening credits] “Written by Jen Upton”. “Theme Song by Helen Park”. “Series Director William Gordon”. “Showrunner Deborah Thorpe”. “Based on the Isadora Moon books and characters by Harriet Muncaster”.

DESCRIPTION: Isadora splashes into the ocean and transforms into a mermaid with a purple tail. Then, in a flash of magic, she is in a pink room and transforms into a pink-and-black cat.

SINGERS: Ready for a new, exciting journey. Sparkly and extraordinary! Yeah, that's me, Isadora! Watch me be!

[Title] “Isadora Moon”.

[Episode title] “Grandbabysitting”.

DESCRIPTION: Inside their castle home, Isadora sits at the kitchen table with Pink Rabbit and her baby sister, Honeyblossom. Her mother and father, Cordelia and Bartholomew, are standing by the table.

[Honeyblossom giggling]

ISADORA: I hope you have a magical anniversary picnic tonight.

BARTHOLOMEW: And I hope you have fun with Granny and Grandpa Moon.

ISADORA: I love it when they babysit! Especially when Grandpa does his bedtime flying show with Rutger.

BARTHOLOMEW: Oh, yes!

DESCRIPTION: Bartholomew flaps his arms like a bat and impersonates Grandpa’s bat, Rutger.

[Throat clearing]

BARTHOLOMEW: Watch out, everyones! Here comes Rutger! That bat is so old, I'm amazed he can still fly.

[Cordelia laughing]

DESCRIPTION: Cordelia puts a bowl of strawberries on the table. Isadora and Honeyblossom both have bowls in front of them. Pink Rabbit stands on the table.

CORDELIA: Here! I've picked some strawberries for your pudding.

ISADORA: Please, can we have fairy nectar on them?

CORDELIA: All right, but not too much.

DESCRIPTION: Using her magic wand, Cordelia levitates an ornate glass bottle of golden liquid from a shelf and onto the table. Just then, Isadora’s grandparents walk into the house. Her grandpa wears a black cape and a purple suit, and her grandma wears a black cape and a blue dress. Isadora flies from the table and into their arms.

GRANDMA: Yoo-hoo!

ISADORA: Yay!

[Grunting, chuckling]

GRANDPA: Isadora!

[Honeyblossom giggling]

DESCRIPTION: Grandma walks over to Honeyblossom and smiles at her. Honeyblossom levitates from her high chair and into the air. Cordelia raises her wand and magically puts her back into her high chair.

GRANDMA: And my little Honeyblossom!

CORDELIA: Oh no, you don't!

[Chuckling]

GRANDMA: She's lively.

BARTHOLOMEW: Yes, she started doing that when she gets overexcited, haven't you?

CORDELIA: Come on! We'd better be off or we'll miss the twilight.

BARTHOLOMEW: Have fun, everyones!

DESCRIPTION: Cordelia and Bartholomew take a picnic basket from the counter and leave the house.

ISADORA: Goodnight! Grandpa, are you going to do your bedtime flying routine with Rutger?

[Grandpa chuckling]

GRANDPA: Why, yes! We've been practicing.

DESCRIPTION: Grandpa opens one side of his cape to reveal a sleeping bat hanging upside down from his arm. The bat has fluffy, gray eyebrows and a gray beard.

GRANDPA: Wakey, wakey, Rutger. Rise and shine.

[Rutger snoring]

DESCRIPTION: Rutger falls to the ground as he awakes.

GRANDPA: Oh! Just a little speed wobble. He's fine. So, strawberries! My favourite!

[Isadora giggling]

ISADORA: Mum said we could have fairy nectar, too! It's really yummy on strawberries!

DESCRIPTION: Grandpa gives some strawberries to Honeyblossom. Isadora picks up the bottle of fairy nectar and pours lots on her strawberries.

GRANDMA: Mmm. And how much of that are you allowed?

ISADORA: Um.

DESCRIPTION: Pink Rabbit gives Isadora a disapproving look. Isadora puts more fairy nectar on her berries.

ISADORA: Oh, we're allowed loads and loads.

DESCRIPTION: Grandpa takes the bottle and puts lots of nectar on Honeyblossom’s berries. Pink Rabbit shakes his head and raises his eyebrows.

GRANDPA: Oh! Leave some for this squeaky little vampireling.

[Honeyblossom giggling]

ISADORA: Mmm! So good!

DESCRIPTION: Isadora’s face changes expressions, and her pupils widen.

[Isadora giggling]

GRANDMA: Something funny, dear?

ISADORA: Uh, no.

DESCRIPTION: Isadora frowns before smiling brightly. She levitates above the table.

[Isadora giggling]

GRANDMA: Oh! No hovering at the table, please, Isadora.

ISADORA: I can't help it!

[Hiccupping, giggling]

DESCRIPTION: Isadora does slow somersaults through the air and hiccups. Pink Rabbit shakes his head.

GRANDPA: Really?

ISADORA: Yes.

[Honeyblossom and Isadora giggling]

ISADORA [giggling]: Don't worry. This is quite normal.

DESCRIPTION: Honeyblossom hovers into the air. Suddenly, in a pop, Honeyblossom disappears.

[Isadora gasps]

ISADORA: I mean, I'll get her. Be right back!

DESCRIPTION: Isadora flies out of the kitchen and into the entrance way. Pink Rabbit runs after her.

ISADORA [giggling]: All this laughing and hiccupping must be because of the fairy nectar. No wonder Mum only lets us have a little bit.

DESCRIPTION: Honeyblossom hovers above the staircase.

[Honeyblossom giggling]

ISADORA: Quick! Grab her!

DESCRIPTION: Honeyblossom disappears.

[Isadora gasping]

ISADORA: She's too fast!

[Honeyblossom giggling from upstairs.]

ISADORA: Come on!

GRANDMA: Are you sure everything's all right, Isadora?

ISADORA: Yes, Granny! Nothing to worry about!

DESCRIPTION: Isadora flies upstairs towards the sound of Honeyblossom giggling.

ISADORA [giggling]: Whee! This nectar is making me super fast. What are you doing up here?

[Isadora hiccupping]

DESCRIPTION: Honeyblossom disappears once again.

[Isadora giggling]

DESCRIPTION: From a painting hanging on the wall, a ghost’s face pops out. Oscar the ghost flies into the room and looks curiously at Isadora. Oscar is a white, spectral form who wears a blue baseball cap.

OSCAR: Oh! What's so funny?

[Isadora giggling]

ISADORA: Nothing's funny! I just had too much fairy nectar and now I can't stop laughing.

OSCAR: Hmm? I don't get it. What's the–

[Oscar groaning]

OSCAR: I hate it when I miss out on a jolly jape.

ISADORA: It's not a jolly jape, Oscar. Honeyblossom has fairy nectar hiccups and keeps disappearing before I can catch her.

DESCRIPTION: Honeyblossom appears between Isadora and Oscar.

[Isadora gasping]

ISADORA: Honeyblossom!

[Honeyblossom hiccupping]

DESCRIPTION: Honeyblossom disappears right before Isadora can wrap her arms around her.

ISADORA: Oh.

OSCAR: Ooh! You've stopped laughing, by the way.

ISADORA: Maybe my nectar's wearing off.

DESCRIPTION: Pink Rabbit wipes his brow.

ISADORA: But Honeyblossom's smaller than me, so it's going to take much longer to wear off.

[Isadora gasps]

ISADORA: We need to catch her before she hiccups herself invisible.

OSCAR: Then let's go! Oscar to the rescue!

DESCRIPTION: In a montage, Oscar and Isadora search around the castle for Honeyblossom. They look in the greenhouse, the bathroom, and the garden. Finally, Oscar looks in Isadora’s bedroom, where Honeyblossom is floating by the ceiling.

OSCAR: Ooh! Ooh! I found her! She's here!

DESCRIPTION: Isadora rushes into the room, right before Honeyblossom hiccups and disappears again.

[Honeyblossom hiccupping]

OSCAR: Oh! Uh, well, she was here.

DESCRIPTION: Grandpa walks into the bedroom.

GRANDPA: Oh, hello, Oscar. I heard a commotion. Is everything all right, Isadora?

ISADORA: Hmm.

GRANDPA: Where's Honeyblossom?

ISADORA: Oh, nothing to worry about, Grandpa. We're, um, playing fairy hide-and-seek. Found you, Oscar!

OSCAR: What? Oh, right! Yes, of course! It's like the time I hid in Sherwood Forest!

ISADORA: Oscar! Do you know what would be a great idea? Why don't you go and tell Granny and Grandpa all about it. I'm sure they'd love to hear.

[Oscar gasps]

OSCAR: Oh, yes, please!

DESCRIPTION: Oscar flies out of the room with Isadora’s grandpa.

[Oscar clears his throat]

OSCAR: You see, I was with this fellow called Robin Hood and, well, he got stuck--

ISADORA: I wish I never told them we were allowed fairy nectar. If only I could think of a way to catch Honeyblossom before she hiccups away again.

[Isadora gasping]

ISADORA: I know! Come on, Pink Rabbit!

DESCRIPTION: Downstairs, Oscar sits in the living room with Grandma and Grandpa.

OSCAR: It was an innocent mistake! I mean, I didn't mean to fire an arrow at Robin Hood's bottom. But did we laugh.

[Oscar laughing]

[Grandpa yawning]

OSCAR: Of course, he didn't.

DESCRIPTION: Back upstairs, Isadora places a teddy bear on the bedroom floor before hiding behind her bed with Pink Rabbit.

ISADORA: Honeyblossom's favourite teddy. Now, we hide.

DESCRIPTION: Honeyblossom pops into the room in a shimmer of magic. She hugs the teddy bear tightly.

[Honeyblossom squealing]

ISADORA: Now!

DESCRIPTION: Isadora raises her magic wand and traps Honeyblossom in a pink bubble.

ISADORA: Yes!

DESCRIPTION: Honeyblossom hiccups and disappears. The bubble pops around her.

[Honeyblossom hiccupping]

ISADORA: No!

DESCRIPTION: Pink Rabbit winces. Back downstairs, Oscar continues to ramble to Grandma and Grandpa. Grandpa has fallen asleep.

OSCAR: And then, of course, I said, "If you don't want them to call you that, Robbie, then stop wearing the hood!"

DESCRIPTION: Grandpa wakes with a start.

GRANDPA: Uh! What? I wasn't asleep!

GRANDMA: Of course not, dear! But it is getting late. We should put Isadora and Honeyblossom to bed.

OSCAR: Uh, wait! Don't go! I need to sing you my favourite song! Yes, it's about a squirrel.

OSCAR [singing]: Oh! The beauty of a squirrel at my window! Its bushy tail
and its shining eyes!

DESCRIPTION: In the entranceway, Isadora looks around for Honeyblossom.

ISADORA: Honeyblossom. Where are you?

[Isadora sighs]

ISADORA: It's no use, Pink Rabbit. I can't find her anywhere.

[Isadora gasps]

ISADORA: What if she's blipped away all together?

DESCRIPTION: Just then, Grandma and Grandpa walk into the room. Oscar follows quickly behind them.

GRANDMA: Oh, Isadora. There you are.

OSCAR: Wait! There's another four verses.

OSCAR [singing]: How I love to watch it scurry from the tree onto the table!

GRANDMA: Uh, thank you, Oscar. But we really do need to put the girls to bed.

OSCAR: Sorry, Isadora. I did try.

DESCRIPTION: Oscar flies upstairs.

GRANDPA: Try what? Isadora, what is going on? Where is Honeyblossom?

DESCRIPTION: Pink Rabbit takes Isadora’s hand, and she looks at the ground.

ISADORA: I don't know.

DESCRIPTION: Grandma and Grandpa’s eyes widen.

GRANDMA/ GRANDPA: What!

ISADORA: It's the fairy nectar. Mum doesn't let us have loads.

GRANDMA: Ah! I did wonder.

ISADORA: I didn't know it would make me so whizzy and giggly or make Honeyblossom keep hiccupping and disappearing. Now, I can't find her anywhere. I'm sorry.

GRANDPA: Oh, Isadora. If you had a problem, why didn't you come to us?

ISADORA: I thought because it was my fault, I should fix it.

GRANDMA: Oh, Isadora! You could have asked for help.

ISADORA: Can you help me now?

GRANDMA: Of course! And I know exactly how to find Honeyblossom.

ISADORA: How?

DESCRIPTION: Grandma and Grandpa open their capes in synchronicity.

GRANDMA/ GRANDPA: Vampire skills!

GRANDPA: You just need to combine your super vampire hearing with some stealth flying. Close your eyes and focus.

GRANDMA: And no giggling.

DESCRIPTION: Isadora follows their instructions and closes her eyes.

GRANDMA: What do you hear?

[Faint snoring]

ISADORA: I can hear snoring. In Mum's plant room.

GRANDMA: Quietly now.

DESCRIPTION: Isadora quietly flies into Cordelia’s plant room. She follows the sound of Honeyblossom’s snoring until she finds her baby sister asleep in a plant.

[Honeyblossom snoring]

ISADORA: There you are.

[Honeyblossom snoring]

DESCRIPTION: Grandma and Grandpa tiptoe into the plant room.

GRANDPA: Aw. Look at her. I think that fairy nectar has worn off.

DESCRIPTION: Just then, Oscar flies through one of the room’s walls.

OSCAR [loudly]: Ah! Honeyblossom! I found you!

[Grandma, Grandpa, and Isadora shush]

OSCAR: What? What did I say?

DESCRIPTION: Honeyblossom does not wake up and rolls over in the plant pot. She sucks on her thumb.

GRANDMA: Phew.

DESCRIPTION: Later that night, Grandma and Grandpa tuck Isadora into bed, along with Pink Rabbit.

ISADORA: Sorry, Granny. Sorry, Grandpa. I should have been honest about the fairy nectar.

GRANDMA: I think you learned your lesson.

GRANDPA: Oh, such a pity. Rutger was really looking forward to his flying display.

DESCRIPTION: Grandpa opens his cape and shows Rutger, sound asleep on his arm.

[Rutger snoring loudly]

ISADORA: Oh!

ISADORA [whispering]: Sorry, Rutger. We both missed out. I'll know better next time.

GRANDMA: Oh!

DESCRIPTION: Grandma kisses Isadora on the forehead.

[Grandma smooching]

GRANDMA: Goodnight, Sweetheart.

ISADORA: Goodnight.

DESCRIPTION: Later that night, Cordelia and Bartholomew fly through the front doors. They are holding hands, and Bartholomew is holding their picnic basket.

BARTHOLOMEW: Mum! Dad! Where are they?

DESCRIPTION: Bartholomew and Cordelia walk into the living room, where Grandma and Grandpa are asleep, sitting on the couch, holding each other.

[Grandma and Grandpa snoring]

BARTHOLOMEW: I hope we are as romantic when we are 647.

CORDELIA: Oh, so do I.

[Grandma and Grandpa snoring]

[Cordelia sighing]

[Upbeat music]

SINGERS: A little bit of both! Mighty vampire, magic fairy. Ready for a new exciting journey. Sparkly and extraordinary! Yeah, that's me, Isadora. Watch me be!
