Isadora Moon
[Upbeat music]
DESCRIPTION: At night, moonlight shines on a pink, white, and gray castle. Isadora Moon flies and dances while holding her magic wand. Isadora has black hair, pointed fairy ears, vampire fangs, and pink bat wings. She wears a purple cardigan, pink boots, black-and-white striped tights, and a pink skirt with star details.
SINGERS: Isadora Moon the one and only, here I go! I'm totally unique and extra-starry. Waving my wand, flying fearlessly, yeah! It's your girl, Isadora.
DESCRIPTION: Isadora stands with her parents, Countess Cordelia Moon and Count Bartholomew Moon. Cordelia has long, curly, pink hair and wears flowers in it. She has transparent, butterfly-like green wings and wears a green sweater and a pink dress. Bartholomew has short black hair and fangs. He wears a long black-and-purple cape, grey pants, and a grey-striped vest over a red shirt.
SINGERS: A little bit of both, half a vampire, half a fairy!
DESCRIPTION: Isadora flies through the air, and a trail of pink sparkles follows her. She is holding Pink Rabbit’s paw, a rabbit stuffed animal with pink fur, a fuzzy white tail, and black-and-white striped ears.
[Opening credits] “Written by Stephanie Wahlstrom”. “Theme Song by Helen Park”. “Series Director William Gordon”. “Showrunner Deborah Thorpe”. “Based on the Isadora Moon books and characters by Harriet Muncaster”.
DESCRIPTION: Isadora splashes into the ocean and transforms into a mermaid with a purple tail. Then, in a flash of magic, she is in a pink room and transforms into a pink-and-black cat.
SINGERS: Ready for a new, exciting journey. Sparkly and extraordinary! Yeah, that's me, Isadora! Watch me be!
[Title text] “Isadora Moon”.
[Episode title] “Snow Dragon Trek”.
DESCRIPTION: On a bright and sunny day, Bartholomew, Cordelia, and Isadora stand outside their castle home. Bartholomew is wearing sunglasses. They are joined by Aunt Crystal, Isadora’s fairy aunt, who has blue hair, blue wings, and wears a blue dress. She is sitting in an ice sleigh adorned with crystal details. Isadora sits in the sleigh beside her, wearing a fur-covered purple winter coat. Joining them in the sled is Primrose, Isadora’s fairy cousin, who has black hair and pink fairy wings and wears glasses, a pink toque, and a green jacket.
ISADORA: Oh, I can't wait to go to the land of snow and ice.
PRIMROSE: Me neither, especially on the hottest day of the year.
AUNT CRYSTAL: And just wait till you see the aurora.
ISADORA: The aurora?
AUNT CRYSTAL: Yes. Oh, it's the most incredible dazzling light show in the night sky.
BARTHOLOMEW: So, girls, are you ready for your icy adventure with Aunt Crystal?
ISADORA/ PRIMROSE: Yes!
CORDELIA: It's going to be so magical seeing the aurora from the snow dragon ice temple ruins.
ISADORA: Is that where we're going?
AUNT CRYSTAL: Indeed, it is.
PRIMROSE: Wow. I've read about those ruins. They are really hard to get to.
ISADORA: Then it's great we have Aunt Crystal's sleigh.
AUNT CRYSTAL: Cordelia, Bartholomew, are you sure you can't join us?
CORDELIA: We'd love to, Crystal, but you know how Bartholomew feels about hats.
BARTHOLOMEW: Thank you. Why would anyone want to cover up this incredible hair?
[Everyone laughing]
AUNT CRYSTAL: Everyone strapped in? Let's go.
DESCRIPTION: With a wave of Aunt Crystal’s wand, the sleigh rises into the air and flies off.
ISADORA: Goodbye.
BARTHOLOMEW: Bye, everyone.
[Adventurous music]
DESCRIPTION: Aunt Crystal, Primrose, and Isadora fly the sleigh over icy mountains, snow-covered trees, and snowy valleys, until they approach an ice palace.
ISAORA: Ooh!
PRIMROSE: Wow. This place is beautiful. Is this the snow dragon ice temple?
[Isadora giggling]
ISADORA: No. This is the snow queen's palace. Oh, Aunt Crystal, is the snow queen coming with us? Sadly, no. She and Gordie, your snow friend, are at the snowball championships this weekend. But she left a surprise for us. Watch.
DESCRIPTION: Aunt Crystal flies above the grand front doors and breaks off the tip of an icicle. She lightly taps it against the rest of the icicle.
[Icicle chiming]
DESCRIPTION: From behind the castle, three blue dragons fly into the sky. They have light-blue bodies with bright-blue wings, back spikes, and ears. They land in front of Isadora, Primrose, and Aunt Crystal.
[Isadora gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Isadora runs up to one of the dragons and hugs him.
ISADORA: Snowflake! What are you doing here?
PRIMROSE: You know this dragon?
ISADORA: Yes. He belongs to the snow queen. Hmm? Don't you, my boy?
DESCRIPTION: Crystal introduces the other two dragons.
CRYSTAL: And these two beauties are Frost and Flurry. The only way to get up to the ancient ruins is riding snow dragons up the ice path.
[Isadora giggling]
DESCRIPTION: Primrose looks at the ground and rubs her arms.
PRIMROSE: Um, I've never ridden a snow dragon before.
ISADORA: Well, it's just like riding a regular dragon, only snowier.
DESCRIPTION: Snowflake licks Isadora’s face. Frost walks up to Primrose, but she backs away.
[Flurry purring]
DESCRIPTION: Primrose smiles and pets Flurry’s nose.
PRIMROSE: I've never ridden a regular dragon, either. Hello, Flurry.
AUNT CRYSTAL: Come on. We better get going. We don't want to miss the show.
DESCRIPTION: Aunt Crystal gets on Frost, and Isadora is riding Snowflake. Primrose tries to get on Flurry, but he keeps moving.
[Primrose grunting]
PRIMROSE: This is much harder than it looks.
ISADORA: Okay. Flurry, you stay still. Primrose, you float lightly, and gently land near Flurry's shoulders.
[Primrose grunting]
DESCRIPTION: Primrose follows Isadora’s instructions and sits on Flurry.
PRIMROSE: Okay. I'm ready to go.
AUNT CRYSTAL: Perfect.
DESCRIPTION: Aunt Crystal raises her wand and casts a spell on Isadora and Primrose.
AUNT CRYSTAL: Safe and sound above the ground.
DESCRIPTION: Blue magic momentarily surrounds Isadora and Primrose. The three dragons fly into the air with their riders. Isadora and Aunt Crystal fly in straight lines, but Primrose and Flurry have trouble.
[Isadora and Primrose shouting]
ISADORA: Whee! Watch me fly.
PRIMROSE: Come on, Flurry. This way.
DESCRIPTION: Primrose gestures for Flurry to follow Frost and Snowflake, and instead, he flies straight into the air. He shakes quickly before flying straight.
[Primrose shouting]
ISADORA: Primrose, are you okay?
[Primrose shouting]
DESCRIPTION: Flurry barrel rolls.
PRIMROSE: Whoa! Whoa, whoa! Who turned the world upside down?
AUNT CRYSTAL: Primrose, just hold still, darling. The enchantment will keep you safe.
DESCRIPTION: Isadora and Aunt Crystal fly beside Primrose. Isadora pets Flurry on the head.
ISADORA: Easy, Flurry. Easy. Good dragon.
PRIMROSE: Ooh. That was sort of fun, but I really don't need to do it again. Let's keep going.
DESCRIPTION: Flurry continues to fly erratically.
[Primrose shouting]
DESCRIPTION: The three dragons hover together.
AUNT CRYSTAL: You know, I think we may have rushed this. After all, this is your first time on a dragon.
DESCRIPTION: Primrose frowns.
PRIMROSE: You two go without me. I don't want you to miss the aurora.
ISADORA: But I don't want to see it without you. It won't be as much fun. Anyway, I'm sure you'll be a great rider after a little lesson.
AUNT CRYSTAL: I know. There's a clearing up ahead. We can practise there.
DESCRIPTION: The three dragons fly a little further until they reach a clearing in the trees, where they land.
[Primrose shouting]
[Flurry snorting]
[Flurry sighing]
AUNT CRYSTAL: Behold. The perfect place for some snowy flying lessons.
PRIMROSE: Are you sure we have time to stop? Oh, yes. Once you've learned, we can go faster. Sometimes, slowing things down can actually make it quicker in the long run.
PRIMROSE: All right, but I really don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
ISADORA: I once had trouble with my glitter dragon because I wasn't listening to what he wanted to do. So, the most important thing is to listen to Flurry.
PRIMROSE: But Flurry can't speak, and I don't know an enchantment that can make me understand dragon.
ISADORA: No, but we can speak to them in other ways, like this.
DESCRIPTION: Isadora pets the side of Snowflake’s neck. He walks forward.
[Snowflake cooing]
ISADORA: Now, you try.
PRIMROSE: Oh.
DESCRIPTION: Primrose pets the side of Flurry’s neck. He walks forward. Primrose smiles brightly.
[Flurry cooing]
PRIMROSE: Yes! It worked.
AUNT CRYSTAL: Well done, both of you.
ISADORA: It's about working as a team, not just telling the dragon what to do.
PRIMROSE: I understand.
[Flurry cooing]
AUNT CRYSTAL: Great job.
ISADORA: Okay. Now, try this.
DESCRIPTION: Isadora pets the side of Snowflake’s neck in a pattern. He jumps into the air and flies in circles.
PRIMROSE: I don't know.
ISADORA: You can do it.
PRIMROSE: Okay. Ready?
DESCRIPTION: Flurry nods. Primrose pets Flurry’s neck in the same pattern, and he flies in the same way Snowflake and Isadora did.
PRIMROSE: Woo! Woo-hoo! That was incredible. I can't believe I did a spin on a snow dragon.
AUNT CRYSTAL: Wonderful. Do you think you can make it up to the ruins? The sun is setting and the aurora is going to start soon.
PRIMROSE: Okay. I'm ready to go.
[Something rattling]
ISADORA: Wait. Did you hear that? It's over here somewhere.
DESCRIPTION: Isadora dismounts Snowflake and follows the noise over to some trees. Sitting in the snow is a sparkling blue dragon egg.
[Isadora gasps]
ISADORA: It's a snow dragon's egg.
DESCRIPTION: Aunt Crystal and Primrose dismount their dragons and join Isadora.
AUNT CRYSTAL: Oh, my. It is. And its mum isn't around. It must have fallen out of the nest at the temple and then rolled down the ice mountain.
ISADORA: Poor baby dragon.
PRIMROSE: What do we do?
AUNT CRYSTAL: Normally, you never move an egg. But a snow dragon egg can only hatch under the aurora.
ISADORA: Then let's take it up to the ruins. Frost and I can carry it.
AUNT CRYSTAL: Great idea, Isadora.
DESCRIPTION: Aunt Crystal waves her wand, and the egg levitates in the air. The three riders get back on the dragons, and Isadora takes the egg. She holds it tightly in her arms.
PRIMROSE: Your vampire hearing is great, Isadora. Otherwise, we'd never have found it.
ISADORA: It's only because we slowed down for our lesson that I heard it.
AUNT CRYSTAL: Come on, girls. We've got to move fast. Let's go.
[Adventurous music]
DESCRIPTION: The three dragons take off into the air. They fly up the mountain and over snow-covered trees. Primrose flies just as well as Isadora and Aunt Crystal.
PRIMROSE: Woo!
ISADORA: Whoa. This is amazing!
PRIMROSE: Woo-hoo!
DESCRIPTION: At the top of the mountain is a glowing ice crystal landing. Ice dragon sculptures line the outside of the landing, and an ice gazebo overlooks the valley. Isadora spots a dragon’s nest.
ISADORA: There. That must be its nest.
DESCRIPTION: The three dragons land. Isadora magically places the egg in the nest.
ISADORA: Steady. Have we made it on time?
AUNT CRYSTAL: I think so.
DESCRIPTION: Aunt Crystal, Isadora, and Primrose dismount their dragons. Primrose pets Flurry. He licks her face.
PRIMROSE: Ah. Thank you for the ride, Flurry.
[Primrose giggles]
[Flurry cooing]
DESCRIPTION: Aunt Crystal, Isadora, and Primrose look at the sky at the aurora. Blue, purple, and pink paint the sky. Snowflake, Flurry, and Frost fly and soar in the aurora.
ALL: Wow!
ISADORA: Look!
AUNT CRYSTAL: I was about your age when I saw the aurora for the first time. It made me understand the true magic of nature.
ISADORA: I've never seen anything like this before, Aunt Crystal. It's amazing!
DESCRIPTION: Behind them, cracks form in the dragon egg’s shell.
[Cracking]
ISADORA: Did you hear that?
[Aunt Crystal gasps]
ISADORA: It's the egg. It's hatching!
DESCRIPTION: A baby snow dragon pops out of the egg. He has a light blue body, a purple snout, and big eyes.
ALL: Aw.
PRIMROSE: It's the cutest thing I've ever seen.
DESCRIPTION: Flurry, Frost, and Snowflake land in front of the egg.
ISADORA: Look how tiny it is.
PRIMROSE: Aw.
ISADORA: The snow dragons are welcoming the baby into their family. Aw. He's so sweet.
PRIMROSE: Thank you for being patient with me learning to ride a dragon. I'd never have seen the aurora without you.
AUNT CRYSTAL: You know, I find when you take your time, you often find something magical along the way.
DESCRIPTION: Isadora, Primrose, and Aunt Crystal hug.
ISADORA: Thank you, Aunt Crystal.
