DESCRIPTION: Colourful fish and sea turtles swim in bright blue water. On the water, Sandy drives her personal watercraft towards the Surf Club.

[Song] Over the ocean and over the reef, there's a sunny little place called Kangaroo Beach.
[Footsteps thump, slide whistle, Neville screams]
DESCRIPTION: Frizzy, Gemma, Neville and Pounce leap off their beds. Frizzy is a young blue koala, Gemma is a pink platypus, Neville is a hairy-nosed albino wombat with a pink nose, and Pounce is a young yellow and orange kangaroo. They ride down a slide.
[Song] Frizzy, Gemma, Neville and Pounce, cadets in the club, so come on, let's bounce. Good friends surfing, swimming, learning.
[Whistle blows, helicopter rotors thump, splash, water bubbles, wave crashes]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi, an orange kangaroo lifeguard, drives a boat. Sandy, a pink kangaroo lifeguard, stands beside him. Big Trev, a yellow wombat, pilots a small sub. A helicopter lifts smiling Gherkinn, an otter, up, wearing a harness. The cadets surf.
[Song] Bondi, Sandy, Big Trev, too, training with the very best lifeguard crew. Staying safe, being brave, ride a wave, make a save. We're here all summer, it just gets fun-er. Let's hop down to Kangaroo Beach.
[Water splashes]

[Whoosh, Bondi sighs]
DESCRIPTION: Sandy throws Bondi a wide-brimmed hat.
SANDY: Check you out.
DESCRIPTION: Bondi puts on the hat.
BONDI: Mm.
BIG TREV: Your mission is to have a lovely day off work.
DESCRIPTION: Big Trev, Sandy, and the cadets stand on the ground beside the water pool in the Surf Club.
BONDI: Now, are you sure you'll cope with one less lifeguard on duty?
SANDY: Oh, please. We'll be fine. Go on, have fun.
BONDI: I'll try. Roo to the rostered day off!
[Motor buzzes, cadets shout]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi drives away.
NEVILLE: Have a great time without us.
[Alarm blares, Gemma gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Sandy and Big Trev run.
SANDY: On it like a seagull on a chip.
[Upbeat music plays, Big Trev pants]
DESCRIPTION: In a montage, Big Trev runs to the beach and grabs his rescue board. Sandy jumps into the motorboat, and Big Trev flies the helicopter. Sandy stands in the motorboat beside a swimmer in the water.
SANDY: You're fine. We've got you.
[Swimmer grunts, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: The montage continues. Sandy helps the swimmer out of the water, Big Trev paddles on his board, and Sandy holds a rope and leaps from the helicopter. Sandy paddles on her rescue board.
SANDY: Float on your backs.
[Big Trev pants]
DESCRIPTION: The montage continues. Big Trev carries two swimmers out of the water, Sandy helps a swimmer onto her rescue board, and the helicopter takes off. Later, in the Surf Club, Big Trev and Sandy walk past Frizzy, Neville, Pounce, and Gemma as they watch television.
[Mellow music plays]
BIG TREV: Great gumnuts.
[Big Trev pants]
SANDY: Oh.
BIG TREV: Oh!
DESCRIPTION: Big Trev sits on a chair, and Sandy sits on the floor beside him.
SANDY: Maybe we do need another lifeguard.
DESCRIPTION: Frizzy and Neville smile at each other.
NEVILLE: I've got an idea.
[Click, rock music plays, whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: In a commercial on the television screen, Hugh Quackman appears on a beach, wearing a lifeguard costume. Robo Dummy 3000, a gleaming red, silver, and yellow robot, appears.
HUGH: Hi, I'm Hugh Quackman, professional actor, playing a lifeguard. And believe me, even the best need a rest. Introducing the Robo Dummy 3000.
[Robot whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dummy 3000 holds a life ring.
ROBO DUMMY 3000: I love safety. Safety. Safety.
DESCRIPTION: In reality, Big Trev and Sandy watch the commercial.
SANDY: That's creepy.
[Whirr]
DESCRIPTION: In the commercial, a swimmer flails in the water.
SWIMMER: Help! Help!
DESCRIPTION: A life ring lands around the swimmer, and Robo Dummy 3000 pulls them to a dock.
ROBO DUMMY 3000: You are saved.
[Light music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: In reality, Big Trev glances at Sandy, who has her arms crossed.
BIG TREV: Robo Dummy, hey? It's perfect!
[Waves splash]
DESCRIPTION: On the beach on Boomerang Island, Bondi lies on an inflatable mattress and looks at a magazine.
BONDI READS: "How to relax. Step one. Lie down.]
[Rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi lies down.
BONDI READS: “Step two. Listen to nice, calm music."
BONDI: OK.
[Click, calm music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi turns on a portable music player.
BONDI: Hm. Not working.
BONDI READS: "Step three. Take a nice, deep breath. And..."
[Inhales deeply, snores]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi falls asleep holding the magazine. At Kangaroo Beach, Big Trev reads an instruction manual.
[Light music plays]
BIG TREV: Hmm. Connect the, uh, the jiggly what to, uh, what's it called?
NEVILLE: Finished.
DESCRIPTION: Neville stands beside the assembled Robo Dummy 3000.
FRIZZY: Wow!
POUNCE: Awesome.
BIG TREV: Why, she looks just like Dotty.
[The music stops, birds sing]
NEVILLE: I call her Robo Dotty.
[Click, Robo Dotty whirrs, beeps, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Neville pushes a button on a charging station, and the Robo Dummy 3000, Robo Dotty, lifts her head, and her eyes turn green. She looks at Big Trev.
ROBO DOTTY: Good morning, Trevor.
DESCRIPTION: Big Trev waves.
BIG TREV: Well, hello, Robo Dotty.
ROBO DOTTY: Engaging patrol mode.
[Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls forward and unplugs herself. She rolls down a ramp and onto the beach.
FRIZZY: Where's she going?
[Beeps, whirr]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty scans the beach and the pier. She sees Gherkinn carrying a cooler with a pail on top towards the end of the pier.
ROBO DOTTY: Danger detected.
[Beeps, whirr]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls towards the pier.
GEMMA: Danger? I can't see any danger.
POUNCE: Look!
[Gemma gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Frizzy looks at Gherkinn through her binoculars.
FRIZZY: Oh, my starfish! Gherkinn!
GHERKINN: Oh. I can't see where I'm going.
DESCRIPTION: Gherkinn walks off the end of the pier.
GHERKINN SHOUTS: Oh, my goodness!
[Whirr, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty catches Gherkinn.
GHERKINN: Thank you, nice robot teddy bear.
ROBO DOTTY: You're welcome.
POUNCE: Wow! She spotted danger before it even happened.
BIG TREV: Very impressive.
NEVILLE: Let's see what else she can do.
DESCRIPTION: In the water, Lin flails.
LIN: Help!
[Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty shoots a life ring on a rope to Lin.
ROBO DOTTY: At your service.
[Water splashes, upbeat music plays]
LIN: Wow!
DESCRIPTION: Lin grabs the life ring, and Robo Dotty pulls him to shore. On a dune, Pounce surfs on his surfboard and hits rocks. He flies into the air, and Robo Dotty catches him.
POUNCE: Wahoo! Wow!
ROBO DOTTY: Caught you.
[Pounce laughs, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: In the water, three swimmers flounder.
THREE SWIMMERS: Help! Help! We can't swim!
[Whoosh, whirr]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty throws three life rings into the water.
ROBO DOTTY: Yippee ki yay!
THREE SWIMMERS: Thanks, Robo Dotty.
[Whirr, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls to Big Trev, Sandy, and the cadets.
BIG TREV: Well done, Robo Dotty.
[Waves splash]
ROBO DOTTY: How may I improve my service?
NEVILLE: Um... Just keep on keeping the beach safe.
[Beeps, light music notes play, whirrs]
ROBO DOTTY: Understood. More Safety.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls across the sand.
SANDY: Yep. Still creepy.
[Waves splash, calm music plays, Bondi snores, Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: On Boomerang Island, Bondi sleeps as the tide pulls his inflatable mattress off the beach. On Kangaroo Beach, the cadets stand near the beach huts. Frizzy waves at Robo Dotty.
[Tense music plays]
FRIZZY: Hi, Robo Dotty.
ROBO DOTTY: Danger. Danger.
POUNCE: What is it? Swimmer in distress?
[Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls to a young kangaroo who puts a flag on a sandcastle turret.
ROBO DOTTY: Sandcastle too high.
[Beeps, young kangaroo gasps, sand rustles]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls over the sand castle.
ROBO DOTTY: Sandcastle terminated.
[Upbeat music plays, whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty scans Lin’s soft serve ice cream
ROBO DOTTY: Ice cream too cold.
[Ice cream squelches, Lin groans]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty melts the ice cream.
[Robo Dotty whirrs]
ROBO DOTTY: Sand too hot. Waves, too splashy. Sun too bright.
[Robo Dotty whirrs, beachgoers shout]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls towards beachgoers, and they flee.
ROBO DOTTY: Evacuate beach. Evacuate.
NEVILLE: Robo Dotty, that's too safe.
[Cadets gasp]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty turns towards the cadets, and Gemma, Neville, and Pounce hide behind a rock.
FRIZZY: Hide!
[Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Frizzy hides behind the rock, and Robo Dotty rolls over. Nearby, the junior-junior cadets, Dougie, Wei, Phillipa, and Sammy, watch Robo Dotty over the edge of a hole in the sand.
[Whoosh, playful music plays]
[Sammy blows a raspberry, junior-junior cadets laugh, Robo Dotty whirrs, junior-junior cadets gasp, cadets gasp, Phillipa blows a raspberry, junior-junior cadets laugh, cadets laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty stops and looks at the beach. She rolls to where the junior-junior cadets hide and then rolls away. Phillipa and Sammy lie on Dougie’s back as they peer over the sand. Wei sits beside them. The cadets watch from behind the rock.
POUNCE: Those cheeky rascals.
[The music stops, sand rustles, bird caws, water splashes]
SANDY: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Where is everyone?
ROBO DOTTY: Beach safe.
SANDY: Beach empty and no fun. Bring everyone back now, Robo Dotty.
[Sandy grunts]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty pushes Sandy into the red beach hut.
ROBO DOTTY: Beach safer.
[Door slams, Robo Dotty whirrs, Sandy knocks]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls away, and Sandy knocks on the inside of the door of the beach hut.
GHERKINN: Oh, hello.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Gherkinn stands with his mom, his sister, and Papa Gherkinn.
GHERKINN: The nice robot teddy bear put us here to protect us.
PAPA GHERKINN: Want to join our game? I spy something beginning with O.
SANDY: I'm gonna guess otters.
[Exclamations]
PAPA GHERKINN: Oh, wow.
GHERKINN’S MOM: Wunderbar!
PAPA GHERKINN: You are good at this game.
[Beep, waves splash]
DESCRIPTION: Big Trev looks through his binoculars, then picks up his walkie-talkie.
POUNCE, OVER WALKIE-TALKIE: Big Trev, Robo Dotty is out of control!
[Upbeat music plays, Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: From the patio of the Surf Club, Big Trev looks down at Robo Dotty on the beach below.
ROBO DOTTY: Searching for danger.
BIG TREV: Ah. Seems OK to me. Oh, wait a minute.
DESCRIPTION: Big Trev peers through his binoculars.
BIG TREV: Is that Bondi?
[Bondi snores]
DESCRIPTION: Through the binoculars, Big Trev watches Bondi sleep, floating on the inflatable mattress in the ocean.
BIG TREV: He must have fallen asleep and drifted away with the tide. I'm coming, Bondi!
[Big Trev pants, upbeat music plays, Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Big Trev grabs his rescue board and runs down the stairs to the beach. On the beach, Robo Dotty blocks his way.
BIG TREV: Robo Dotty, what are you doing?
ROBO DOTTY: The ocean is dangerous.
[Beeps, whirr]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty shoots lasers out of her eyes and disintegrates the rescue board. She rolls towards Big Trev.
BIG TREV: Ah! Huh?
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty shoves Big Trev into the red beach hut.
BIG TREV: Ah!
BIG TREV: Robo Dotty, how could you?
[Beeps]
ROBO DOTTY: It is for your own safety.
[Door slams]
DESCRIPTION: Elsewhere on the beach, Neville holds the walkie-talkie.
NEVILLE: Come in, Big Trev. Are you there?
[Static hisses, Neville gasps, serious music plays]
NEVILLE: Oh! He's not responding.
FRIZZY: And now Robo Dotty is taking over the club.
[Upbeat music plays, Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty patrols on the patio of the Surf Club.
NEVILLE: We have to sneak in and shut her down.
POUNCE: But what if she sees us?
NEVILLE: Um...
[He gasps]
NEVILLE: Oh, we need help from the only ones she can't seem to find - the sneaky, cheeky junior-junior cadets.
[Whoosh, junior-junior cadets laugh]
DESCRIPTION: The junior-junior cadets jump out of a trench in the sand and run as the cadets watch them.
GEMMA: Are you serious?
POUNCE: We're doomed.
[The music stops, waves splash]
NEVILLE: They're our only hope. Junior-junior cadets to the rescue!
[Alarm blares, exciting music plays, clicks, beeps, helicopter blades whirr, engine hums, whooshes]
DESCRIPTION: The cadets, Bondi, and Sandy, prepare their rescue equipment. A montage shows a motorboat, a helicopter, and a minisub. The cadets pose.
[Logo] Kangaroo Beach.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The junior-junior cadets appear on a laptop screen, followed by an image of the red button on top of Robo Dotty’s charging station.
NEVILLE: Ready, kids? Your mission is to sneak into the surf club, hit the big red button and shut down Robo Dotty.
[Junior-junior cadets cheer, laugh, spy music plays, thumps, junior-junior cadets giggle]
DESCRIPTION: The junior-junior cadets run around the base of the staircase leading to the Surf Club. Phillipa rolls across the sand, and the others follow. Dougie trips, then stands and runs. Robo Dotty patrols, and the junior-junior cadets peer over the edge of the floor at a staircase.
NEVILLE, OVER WALKIE-TALKIE: Remember to keep quiet!
WEI, PHILLIPA, AND SAMMY: Shh!
[Whirr]
DESCRIPTION: Patio doors slide open, and Robo Dotty rolls outside.
WEI: Oof!
[Thumps, exclamations, Sammy squawks, Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Wei, Sammy, Dougie, and Phillipa walk in a line. Wei stops, and Sammy bumps into him and falls.
ROBO DOTTY: Disturbance detected.
DESCRIPTION: On the beach, Neville looks at his laptop computer.
NEVILLE: Wobbly wombats!
[Doors whirr, tense music plays, whirrs, beeps, Junior-junior cadets laugh]
DESCRIPTION: At the Surf Club, the patio doors open, and Robo Dotty scans the room. She rolls away, and the junior-junior cadets watch from around a corner.
[Spy music plays, junior-junior cadets laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Wei leads the junior-junior cadets towards the charging station. Phillipa stops and admires a trophy.
PHILIPPA: Ooh! Shiny!
DESCRIPTION: On the beach, the cadets watch on the laptop.
NEVILLE: Philippa! No!
[Tap]
DESCRIPTION: In the Surf Club, Phillipa takes the trophy off the shelf.
PHILIPPA: Ah! Ah! Ah!
[Board thump, trophy clatters, Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Phillipa stumbles backwards into a rescue board stand and knocks down the boards. She falls and drops the trophy. Robo Dotty stops at the patio doors and looks into the room. On the beach, Neville looks at the laptop.
NEVILLE: Oh, no! No, no, no, no, no!
[Beeps, other junior-junior cadets laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Wei, Sammy, and Dougie look at Phillipa. On the beach, the cadets gather around the laptop.
NEVILLE: Quick! We need distractions.
[Whirr, junior-junior cadets laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Pounce, Frizzy, and Gemma run away from Neville. In the Surf Club, Robo Dotty rolls towards the junior-junior cadets. On the beach, Gemma holds an ice cream.
[The music stops]
GEMMA: Oh, no! This ice cream is too cold.
[Junior-junior cadets laugh, upbeat music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls towards the junior-junior cadets and stops. On the beach, Pounce stands beside a sandcastle.
POUNCE: And this sandcastle is too high.
DESCRIPTION: Frizzy cartwheels near Pounce.
FRIZZY: Koala too fabulous.
[Tense music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls out of the Surf Club. She scans the beach, then rolls towards the cadets.
ROBO DOTTY: Disturbance detected. Sandcastle too high.
[Pounce gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty points her arm at the sandcastle, and Pounce hops away.
FRIZZY: Fabulous!
ROBO DOTTY: Koala too fabulous.
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls towards Frizzy and stops. Nearby, Gemma waves her ice cream cone.
GEMMA: Too cold.
ROBO DOTTY: Ice cream too cold.
[Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty chases Pounce.
NEVILLE: OK. You're clear. Hit the button.
[Spy music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Neville watches on the laptop screen as Wei stands in front of the charging station and jumps repeatedly with his arm stretched towards the button.
WEI: Ah! Eegh! Ah!
NEVILLE: Hurry, junior-junior cadets.
[Gemma, Pounce, and Frizzy pant, energetic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty chases Gemma, Pounce, and Frizzy onto the pier.
ROBO DOTTY: Stop! Come back! You must be contained!
DESCRIPTION: Gemma, Pounce, and Frizzy stop at the end of the pier.
POUNCE: Ah!
ROBO DOTTY: Danger detected!
POUNCE: Leave my friends alone!
ROBO DOTTY: More safety!
DESCRIPTION: Neville watches his laptop screen.
NEVILLE: Huh? What are they doing now?
[Slide whistle, exciting music continues]
DESCRIPTION: In the Surf Club, Phillipa dangles from a fishing rod held by the other junior-junior cadets.
JUNIOR-JUNIOR CADETS: Huh? Huh? Whoa!
NEVILLE: Genius!
[Reel rattles, slide whistle]
DESCRIPTION: Dougie turns the crank on the reel, and Phillipa falls onto the button.
ROBO DOTTY: No more danger...
[Thump, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls off the end of the pier and lands on Bondi’s stomach as he drifts past.
BONDI: Huh? Huh? Huh? What? Dotty?
[Gemma, Pounce, and Frizzy laugh, wave splashes, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In the beach hut, Sandy, Big Trev, and the Gherkinn family stand together in the small space.
PAPA GHERKINN: I spy with my little eye something...
[The music stops, door clicks open]
BIG TREV: Huh?
DESCRIPTION: Frizzy stands in the doorway.
FRIZZY: Robo Dotty is off duty.
DESCRIPTION: Everyone runs out of the hut.
EVERYONE CHEERS: Yes! Hey!
[Whoosh, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Later, Sandy, Big Trev, and the cadets stand on the beach.
SANDY: Great job, cadets.
NEVILLE: And junior-junior cadets.
[Junior-junior cadets cheer]
DESCRIPTION: The junior-junior cadets stand nearby and raise their arms happily as Bondi hops past behind them.
JUNIOR-JUNIOR CADETS: Yay! Whoo-hoo!
[The music stops, waves crash]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi stops beside Big Trev.
BONDI: I should probably check the tides before going to sleep near the sea, and never take a day off again.
[He chuckles, upbeat music plays]
SANDY: Oh, yeah? I reckon Big Trev and I could use one.
[Wave crashes]
NEVILLE: Introducing the new, improved Robo Dotty.
[Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: At the ice cream truck, Robo Dotty brings Big Trev and Sandy ice cream cones.
ROBO DOTTY: Relax, enjoy.
[Big Trev slurps]
BIG TREV: Oh, oh. That's cold.
[The music stops]
ROBO DOTTY: Danger, danger!
[Cadets gasp, Robo Dotty whirrs]
ROBO DOTTY: I forgot your toppings.
[Sprinkles rattle, Big Trev laughs]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty drops sprinkles on Big Trev’s ice cream.

DESCRIPTION: Big Trev, Sandy, and the cadets stand on the ground beside the water pool in the Surf Club.
BONDI: Now, are you sure you'll cope with one less lifeguard on duty?
SANDY: Oh, please. We'll be fine. Go on, have fun.
BONDI: I'll try. Roo to the rostered day off!
[Motor buzzes, cadets shout]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi drives away.
NEVILLE: Have a great time without us.
[Alarm blares, Gemma gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Sandy and Big Trev run.
SANDY: On it like a seagull on a chip.
[Upbeat music plays, Big Trev pants]
DESCRIPTION: In a montage, Big Trev runs to the beach and grabs his rescue board. Sandy jumps into the motorboat, and Big Trev flies the helicopter. Sandy stands in the motorboat beside a swimmer in the water.
SANDY: You're fine. We've got you.
[Swimmer grunts, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: The montage continues. Sandy helps the swimmer out of the water, Big Trev paddles on his board, and Sandy holds a rope and leaps from the helicopter. Sandy paddles on her rescue board.
SANDY: Float on your backs.
[Big Trev pants]
DESCRIPTION: The montage continues. Big Trev carries two swimmers out of the water, Sandy helps a swimmer onto her rescue board, and the helicopter takes off. Later, in the Surf Club, Big Trev and Sandy walk past Frizzy, Neville, Pounce, and Gemma as they watch television.

BIG TREV: Great gumnuts.
[Big Trev pants]
SANDY: Oh.
BIG TREV: Oh!
DESCRIPTION: Big Trev sits on a chair, and Sandy sits on the floor beside him.
SANDY: Maybe we do need another lifeguard.
DESCRIPTION: Frizzy and Neville smile at each other.
NEVILLE: I've got an idea.

DESCRIPTION: In a commercial on the television screen, Hugh Quackman appears on a beach, wearing a lifeguard costume. Robo Dummy 3000, a gleaming red, silver, and yellow robot, appears.
HUGH: Hi, I'm Hugh Quackman, professional actor, playing a lifeguard. And believe me, even the best need a rest. Introducing the Robo Dummy 3000.
[Robot whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dummy 3000 holds a life ring.
ROBO DUMMY 3000: I love safety. Safety. Safety.
DESCRIPTION: In reality, Big Trev and Sandy watch the commercial.
SANDY: That's creepy.
[Whirr]
DESCRIPTION: In the commercial, a swimmer flails in the water.
SWIMMER: Help! Help!
DESCRIPTION: A life ring lands around the swimmer, and Robo Dummy 3000 pulls them to a dock.
ROBO DUMMY 3000: You are saved.
[Light music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: In reality, Big Trev glances at Sandy, who has her arms crossed.
BIG TREV: Robo Dummy, hey? It's perfect!
[Waves splash]
DESCRIPTION: On the beach on Boomerang Island, Bondi lies on an inflatable mattress and looks at a magazine.
BONDI READS: "How to relax. Step one. Lie down.]
[Rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi lies down.
BONDI READS: “Step two. Listen to nice, calm music."
BONDI: OK.
[Click, calm music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi turns on a portable music player.
BONDI: Hm. Not working.
BONDI READS: "Step three. Take a nice, deep breath. And..."
[Inhales deeply, snores]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi falls asleep holding the magazine. At Kangaroo Beach, Big Trev reads an instruction manual.
[Light music plays]
BIG TREV: Hmm. Connect the, uh, the jiggly what to, uh, what's it called?
NEVILLE: Finished.
DESCRIPTION: Neville stands beside the assembled Robo Dummy 3000.
FRIZZY: Wow!
POUNCE: Awesome.
BIG TREV: Why, she looks just like Dotty.
[The music stops, birds sing]
NEVILLE: I call her Robo Dotty.
[Click, Robo Dotty whirrs, beeps, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Neville pushes a button on a charging station, and the Robo Dummy 3000, Robo Dotty, lifts her head, and her eyes turn green. She looks at Big Trev.
ROBO DOTTY: Good morning, Trevor.
DESCRIPTION: Big Trev waves.
BIG TREV: Well, hello, Robo Dotty.
ROBO DOTTY: Engaging patrol mode.
[Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls forward and unplugs herself. She rolls down a ramp and onto the beach.
FRIZZY: Where's she going?
[Beeps, whirr]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty scans the beach and the pier. She sees Gherkinn carrying a cooler with a pail on top towards the end of the pier.
ROBO DOTTY: Danger detected.
[Beeps, whirr]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls towards the pier.
GEMMA: Danger? I can't see any danger.
POUNCE: Look!
[Gemma gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Frizzy looks at Gherkinn through her binoculars.
FRIZZY: Oh, my starfish! Gherkinn!
GHERKINN: Oh. I can't see where I'm going.
DESCRIPTION: Gherkinn walks off the end of the pier.
GHERKINN SHOUTS: Oh, my goodness!
[Whirr, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty catches Gherkinn.
GHERKINN: Thank you, nice robot teddy bear.
ROBO DOTTY: You're welcome.
POUNCE: Wow! She spotted danger before it even happened.
BIG TREV: Very impressive.
NEVILLE: Let's see what else she can do.
DESCRIPTION: In the water, Lin flails.
LIN: Help!
[Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty shoots a life ring on a rope to Lin.
ROBO DOTTY: At your service.
[Water splashes, upbeat music plays]
LIN: Wow!
DESCRIPTION: Lin grabs the life ring, and Robo Dotty pulls him to shore. On a dune, Pounce surfs on his surfboard and hits rocks. He flies into the air, and Robo Dotty catches him.
POUNCE: Wahoo! Wow!
ROBO DOTTY: Caught you.
[Pounce laughs, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: In the water, three swimmers flounder.
THREE SWIMMERS: Help! Help! We can't swim!
[Whoosh, whirr]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty throws three life rings into the water.
ROBO DOTTY: Yippee ki yay!
THREE SWIMMERS: Thanks, Robo Dotty.
[Whirr, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls to Big Trev, Sandy, and the cadets.
BIG TREV: Well done, Robo Dotty.
[Waves splash]
ROBO DOTTY: How may I improve my service?
NEVILLE: Um... Just keep on keeping the beach safe.
[Beeps, light music notes play, whirrs]
ROBO DOTTY: Understood. More Safety.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls across the sand.
SANDY: Yep. Still creepy.
[Waves splash, calm music plays, Bondi snores, Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: On Boomerang Island, Bondi sleeps as the tide pulls his inflatable mattress off the beach. On Kangaroo Beach, the cadets stand near the beach huts. Frizzy waves at Robo Dotty.
[Tense music plays]
FRIZZY: Hi, Robo Dotty.
ROBO DOTTY: Danger. Danger.
POUNCE: What is it? Swimmer in distress?
[Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls to a young kangaroo who puts a flag on a sandcastle turret.
ROBO DOTTY: Sandcastle too high.
[Beeps, young kangaroo gasps, sand rustles]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls over the sand castle.
ROBO DOTTY: Sandcastle terminated.
[Upbeat music plays, whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty scans Lin’s soft serve ice cream
ROBO DOTTY: Ice cream too cold.
[Ice cream squelches, Lin groans]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty melts the ice cream.
[Robo Dotty whirrs]
ROBO DOTTY: Sand too hot. Waves, too splashy. Sun too bright.
[Robo Dotty whirrs, beachgoers shout]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls towards beachgoers, and they flee.
ROBO DOTTY: Evacuate beach. Evacuate.
NEVILLE: Robo Dotty, that's too safe.
[Cadets gasp]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty turns towards the cadets, and Gemma, Neville, and Pounce hide behind a rock.
FRIZZY: Hide!
[Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Frizzy hides behind the rock, and Robo Dotty rolls over. Nearby, the junior-junior cadets, Dougie, Wei, Phillipa, and Sammy, watch Robo Dotty over the edge of a hole in the sand.
[Whoosh, playful music plays]
[Sammy blows a raspberry, junior-junior cadets laugh, Robo Dotty whirrs, junior-junior cadets gasp, cadets gasp, Phillipa blows a raspberry, junior-junior cadets laugh, cadets laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty stops and looks at the beach. She rolls to where the junior-junior cadets hide and then rolls away. Phillipa and Sammy lie on Dougie’s back as they peer over the sand. Wei sits beside them. The cadets watch from behind the rock.
POUNCE: Those cheeky rascals.
[The music stops, sand rustles, bird caws, water splashes]
SANDY: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Where is everyone?
ROBO DOTTY: Beach safe.
SANDY: Beach empty and no fun. Bring everyone back now, Robo Dotty.
[Sandy grunts]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty pushes Sandy into the red beach hut.
ROBO DOTTY: Beach safer.
[Door slams, Robo Dotty whirrs, Sandy knocks]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls away, and Sandy knocks on the inside of the door of the beach hut.
GHERKINN: Oh, hello.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Gherkinn stands with his mom, his sister, and Papa Gherkinn.
GHERKINN: The nice robot teddy bear put us here to protect us.
PAPA GHERKINN: Want to join our game? I spy something beginning with O.
SANDY: I'm gonna guess otters.
[Exclamations]
PAPA GHERKINN: Oh, wow.
GHERKINN’S MOM: Wunderbar!
PAPA GHERKINN: You are good at this game.
[Beep, waves splash]
DESCRIPTION: Big Trev looks through his binoculars, then picks up his walkie-talkie.
POUNCE, OVER WALKIE-TALKIE: Big Trev, Robo Dotty is out of control!
[Upbeat music plays, Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: From the patio of the Surf Club, Big Trev looks down at Robo Dotty on the beach below.
ROBO DOTTY: Searching for danger.
BIG TREV: Ah. Seems OK to me. Oh, wait a minute.
DESCRIPTION: Big Trev peers through his binoculars.
BIG TREV: Is that Bondi?
[Bondi snores]
DESCRIPTION: Through the binoculars, Big Trev watches Bondi sleep, floating on the inflatable mattress in the ocean.
BIG TREV: He must have fallen asleep and drifted away with the tide. I'm coming, Bondi!
[Big Trev pants, upbeat music plays, Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Big Trev grabs his rescue board and runs down the stairs to the beach. On the beach, Robo Dotty blocks his way.
BIG TREV: Robo Dotty, what are you doing?
ROBO DOTTY: The ocean is dangerous.
[Beeps, whirr]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty shoots lasers out of her eyes and disintegrates the rescue board. She rolls towards Big Trev.
BIG TREV: Ah! Huh?
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty shoves Big Trev into the red beach hut.
BIG TREV: Ah!
BIG TREV: Robo Dotty, how could you?
[Beeps]
ROBO DOTTY: It is for your own safety.
[Door slams]
DESCRIPTION: Elsewhere on the beach, Neville holds the walkie-talkie.
NEVILLE: Come in, Big Trev. Are you there?
[Static hisses, Neville gasps, serious music plays]
NEVILLE: Oh! He's not responding.
FRIZZY: And now Robo Dotty is taking over the club.
[Upbeat music plays, Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty patrols on the patio of the Surf Club.
NEVILLE: We have to sneak in and shut her down.
POUNCE: But what if she sees us?
NEVILLE: Um...
[He gasps]
NEVILLE: Oh, we need help from the only ones she can't seem to find - the sneaky, cheeky junior-junior cadets.
[Whoosh, junior-junior cadets laugh]
DESCRIPTION: The junior-junior cadets jump out of a trench in the sand and run as the cadets watch them.
GEMMA: Are you serious?
POUNCE: We're doomed.
[The music stops, waves splash]
NEVILLE: They're our only hope. Junior-junior cadets to the rescue!
[Alarm blares, exciting music plays, clicks, beeps, helicopter blades whirr, engine hums, whooshes]
DESCRIPTION: The cadets, Bondi, and Sandy, prepare their rescue equipment. A montage shows a motorboat, a helicopter, and a minisub. The cadets pose.
[Logo] Kangaroo Beach.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The junior-junior cadets appear on a laptop screen, followed by an image of the red button on top of Robo Dotty’s charging station.
NEVILLE: Ready, kids? Your mission is to sneak into the surf club, hit the big red button and shut down Robo Dotty.
[Junior-junior cadets cheer, laugh, spy music plays, thumps, junior-junior cadets giggle]
DESCRIPTION: The junior-junior cadets run around the base of the staircase leading to the Surf Club. Phillipa rolls across the sand, and the others follow. Dougie trips, then stands and runs. Robo Dotty patrols, and the junior-junior cadets peer over the edge of the floor at a staircase.
NEVILLE, OVER WALKIE-TALKIE: Remember to keep quiet!
WEI, PHILLIPA, AND SAMMY: Shh!
[Whirr]
DESCRIPTION: Patio doors slide open, and Robo Dotty rolls outside.
WEI: Oof!
[Thumps, exclamations, Sammy squawks, Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Wei, Sammy, Dougie, and Phillipa walk in a line. Wei stops, and Sammy bumps into him and falls.
ROBO DOTTY: Disturbance detected.
DESCRIPTION: On the beach, Neville looks at his laptop computer.
NEVILLE: Wobbly wombats!
[Doors whirr, tense music plays, whirrs, beeps, Junior-junior cadets laugh]
DESCRIPTION: At the Surf Club, the patio doors open, and Robo Dotty scans the room. She rolls away, and the junior-junior cadets watch from around a corner.
[Spy music plays, junior-junior cadets laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Wei leads the junior-junior cadets towards the charging station. Phillipa stops and admires a trophy.
PHILIPPA: Ooh! Shiny!
DESCRIPTION: On the beach, the cadets watch on the laptop.
NEVILLE: Philippa! No!
[Tap]
DESCRIPTION: In the Surf Club, Phillipa takes the trophy off the shelf.
PHILIPPA: Ah! Ah! Ah!
[Board thump, trophy clatters, Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Phillipa stumbles backwards into a rescue board stand and knocks down the boards. She falls and drops the trophy. Robo Dotty stops at the patio doors and looks into the room. On the beach, Neville looks at the laptop.
NEVILLE: Oh, no! No, no, no, no, no!
[Beeps, other junior-junior cadets laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Wei, Sammy, and Dougie look at Phillipa. On the beach, the cadets gather around the laptop.
NEVILLE: Quick! We need distractions.
[Whirr, junior-junior cadets laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Pounce, Frizzy, and Gemma run away from Neville. In the Surf Club, Robo Dotty rolls towards the junior-junior cadets. On the beach, Gemma holds an ice cream.
[The music stops]
GEMMA: Oh, no! This ice cream is too cold.
[Junior-junior cadets laugh, upbeat music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls towards the junior-junior cadets and stops. On the beach, Pounce stands beside a sandcastle.
POUNCE: And this sandcastle is too high.
DESCRIPTION: Frizzy cartwheels near Pounce.

DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls out of the Surf Club. She scans the beach, then rolls towards the cadets.

[Pounce gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty points her arm at the sandcastle, and Pounce hops away.
FRIZZY: Fabulous!
ROBO DOTTY: Koala too fabulous.
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls towards Frizzy and stops. Nearby, Gemma waves her ice cream cone.
GEMMA: Too cold.
ROBO DOTTY: Ice cream too cold.
[Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty chases Pounce.
NEVILLE: OK. You're clear. Hit the button.
[Spy music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Neville watches on the laptop screen as Wei stands in front of the charging station and jumps repeatedly with his arm stretched towards the button.
WEI: Ah! Eegh! Ah!
NEVILLE: Hurry, junior-junior cadets.
[Gemma, Pounce, and Frizzy pant, energetic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty chases Gemma, Pounce, and Frizzy onto the pier.
ROBO DOTTY: Stop! Come back! You must be contained!
DESCRIPTION: Gemma, Pounce, and Frizzy stop at the end of the pier.
POUNCE: Ah!
ROBO DOTTY: Danger detected!
POUNCE: Leave my friends alone!
ROBO DOTTY: More safety!
DESCRIPTION: Neville watches his laptop screen.
NEVILLE: Huh? What are they doing now?
[Slide whistle, exciting music continues]
DESCRIPTION: In the Surf Club, Phillipa dangles from a fishing rod held by the other junior-junior cadets.
JUNIOR-JUNIOR CADETS: Huh? Huh? Whoa!
NEVILLE: Genius!
[Reel rattles, slide whistle]
DESCRIPTION: Dougie turns the crank on the reel, and Phillipa falls onto the button.
ROBO DOTTY: No more danger...
[Thump, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty rolls off the end of the pier and lands on Bondi’s stomach as he drifts past.
BONDI: Huh? Huh? Huh? What? Dotty?
[Gemma, Pounce, and Frizzy laugh, wave splashes, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In the beach hut, Sandy, Big Trev, and the Gherkinn family stand together in the small space.
PAPA GHERKINN: I spy with my little eye something...
[The music stops, door clicks open]
BIG TREV: Huh?
DESCRIPTION: Frizzy stands in the doorway.
FRIZZY: Robo Dotty is off duty.
DESCRIPTION: Everyone runs out of the hut.
EVERYONE CHEERS: Yes! Hey!
[Whoosh, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Later, Sandy, Big Trev, and the cadets stand on the beach.
SANDY: Great job, cadets.
NEVILLE: And junior-junior cadets.
[Junior-junior cadets cheer]
DESCRIPTION: The junior-junior cadets stand nearby and raise their arms happily as Bondi hops past behind them.
JUNIOR-JUNIOR CADETS: Yay! Whoo-hoo!
[The music stops, waves crash]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi stops beside Big Trev.
BONDI: I should probably check the tides before going to sleep near the sea, and never take a day off again.
[He chuckles, upbeat music plays]
SANDY: Oh, yeah? I reckon Big Trev and I could use one.
[Wave crashes]
NEVILLE: Introducing the new, improved Robo Dotty.
[Robo Dotty whirrs]
DESCRIPTION: At the ice cream truck, Robo Dotty brings Big Trev and Sandy ice cream cones.
ROBO DOTTY: Relax, enjoy.
[Big Trev slurps]
BIG TREV: Oh, oh. That's cold.
[The music stops]
ROBO DOTTY: Danger, danger!
[Cadets gasp, Robo Dotty whirrs]
ROBO DOTTY: I forgot your toppings.
[Sprinkles rattle, Big Trev laughs]
DESCRIPTION: Robo Dotty drops sprinkles on Big Trev’s ice cream.
CADETS: Phew!
ROBO DOTTY: Ha ha ha.

SANDY: Still creepy, but who cares?
