DESCRIPTION: Colourful fish and sea turtles swim in bright blue water. On the water, Sandy drives her personal watercraft towards the Surf Club.

[Song] Over the ocean and over the reef, there's a sunny little place called Kangaroo Beach.
[Footsteps thump, slide whistle, Neville screams]
DESCRIPTION: Frizzy, Gemma, Neville and Pounce leap off their beds. Frizzy is a young blue koala, Gemma is a pink platypus, Neville is a hairy-nosed albino wombat with a pink nose, and Pounce is a young yellow and orange kangaroo. They ride down a slide.
[Song] Frizzy, Gemma, Neville and Pounce, cadets in the club, so come on, let's bounce. Good friends surfing, swimming, learning.
[Whistle blows, helicopter rotors thump, splash, water bubbles, wave crashes]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi, an orange kangaroo lifeguard, drives a boat. Sandy, a pink kangaroo lifeguard, stands beside him. Big Trev, a yellow wombat, pilots a small sub. A helicopter lifts smiling Gherkinn, an otter, up, wearing a harness. The cadets surf.
[Song] Bondi, Sandy, Big Trev, too, training with the very best lifeguard crew. Staying safe, being brave, ride a wave, make a save. We're here all summer, it just gets fun-er. Let's hop down to Kangaroo Beach.

DESCRIPTION: On a smooth rock road, Gemma and Pounce ride bicycles around a corner.
FERDINAND ANNOUNCES: It's all happening at the Kangaroo Beach Cadet triathlon. Pounce takes the lead. No, Gemma. No, Pounce.
[Bikes bang, crowd cheers, applauds]
DESCRIPTION: Pounce and Gemma crest a hill, and their bikes fly into the air, then land on the road. They park their bikes and run. Nearby, Gherkinn stands at the ice cream truck beside Ferdinand.
GHERKINN: Oh, I see why they are calling it a 'try-athlon'. They are trying so hard.
[Gemma and Pounce pant, crowd cheers]
DESCRIPTION: Gemma and Pounce drop their bike helmets and run down the beach. They race past the junior-junior cadets, Dougie, Wei, Sammy, and Phillipa.
PHILIPPA: Runnies?
[Upbeat music plays, junior-junior cadets laugh, Frizzy pants]
DESCRIPTION: The junior-junior cadets duck under a rope and run on the track. Frizzy runs away from the bikes.
FRIZZY: Oh, my starfish! Look out!
[Boing, the music stops, footsteps rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Frizzy runs into the junior-junior cadets, and everyone falls on the sand. Neville runs to them from the bikes.
NEVILLE: Is everyone OK?
ALL: Yes.
[Jumps rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Frizzy and the junior-junior cadets stand. Phillipa jumps excitedly in front of Neville.
PHILIPPA: Runnies, runnies.
NEVILLE: I'm sorry, Philippa, but this race is for the big kids.
SAMMY: Pwease.
NEVILLE: Oh!
[Gemma and Pounce pant, energetic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Pounce and Gemma race across the beach.
FERDINAND ANNOUNCES: Pounce and Gemma are coming equal first. It's gonna be a photo finish. Whoo-hoo-ho!
[Crowd applauds]
GHERKINN: Oh, I love photos.
DESCRIPTION: Gherkinn takes a selfie with Ferdinand.
[Camera shutter snaps]
GHERKINN: Und, look, here come the cadet letters with some teeny tiny cadet letters.
[Junior-junior cadets giggle, exclaim]
DESCRIPTION: Wei runs, carrying Sammy, Neville runs, carrying Phillipa, and Dougie runs, carrying Frizzy.
FERDINAND ANNOUNCES: Oh, that is adorable.
[Sandy cheers]
DESCRIPTION: Big Trev, Sandy, and Bondi stand at the finish line. Gemma and Pounce cross the line and stop.
SANDY: Come on, get in. Whoo!
[The music stops]
FERDINAND ANNOUNCES: And that's the end of the race.
POUNCE: I won.
GEMMA: No, I won.
[Light music plays]
SANDY: Everybody won because you all did your best and had fun.
POUNCE: Well, I did my best better.
GEMMA: And I had way more fun.
[Panting, cheering, Neville groans, slide whistle, thump]
DESCRIPTION: Everyone else reaches the finish line. Neville staggers across the line and falls on the sand. Phillipa rolls off his back.
NEVILLE: Oh.
DOUGIE: Can we have a turn?
WEI: Yeah, we want to race.
[Junior-junior cadets plead]
BONDI: I'm afraid a triathlon is a race for the big kids.
[Junior-junior cadets groan, cry]
DOUGIE: Oh.
WEI: Not fair.
[Upbeat music plays]
FRIZZY: But I bet we could do another race, couldn't we, Sandy?
SANDY: Sure, but how about a challenge?
NEVILLE: Yes. So, it's not all about winning.
JUNIOR-JUNIOR CADETS: Yay!
POUNCE: I'll coach whoever wants to come first.
GEMMA: And I'll coach whoever wants to beat them.
SANDY: Not a race. Nothing to win.
BIG TREV: If you finish the challenge, I'll buy you all an ice cream.
JUNIOR-JUNIOR CADETS: Awesome. Awesome.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Roadie and Reef stand nearby, beside the ice cream truck.
ROADIE: Hear that, Reefy? Free ice cream for whoever wins the Baby Challenge?
REEF: Great idea, Roadie. But one problem...We're not babies. Roadie, where'd you go?
DESCRIPTION: Roadie walks out from behind the ice cream truck, wearing a bonnet, a soother on a string, and a diaper.
ROADIE: Wah. Googoo gaga.
REEF: Hey, where'd this baby come from?
[Roadie laughs, wave crashes, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Later, a course on the beach includes a large, rectangular area of sand with a blue line around it, a long water slide leading to a floating platform, floaties, a pizza-shaped floatie, and more floaties that create a line back to shore. Gemma stands with Dougie on a starting line, and Pounce stands with Wei. Phillipa and Sammy run in circles in the background.
GEMMA: You're not a wombat. You're a 'win-bat'. Say it.
DOUGIE: Uh... I'm a Winbat.
[Phillipa and Sammy giggle]
POUNCE: You've got this.
WEI: I've got what?
DESCRIPTION: Gherkinn and Ferdinand stand on the platform at the ice cream truck.
GHERKINN: Oh, goodiness, it is almost time for the tiny little Baby Challenge.
FERDINAND ANNOUNCES: Oh, I wouldn't call them babies, Gherkinn.
GHERKINN: No, those babies.
[Roadie and Reef giggle, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Roadie and Reef walk to the starting line. Roadie wears his baby outfit, and Reef wears a bib and a bonnet.
ROADIE: This is our smartiest plan ever.
REEF: Yeah.
[Both laugh, sand rustles]
DESCRIPTION: They walk to Sandy.
SANDY: Reef and Roadie, what are you doing here?
ROADIE, IN A BABY VOICE: Who's Weef and Woadie?
[Roadie imitate crying]
REEF, IN A BABY VOICE: I'm a big baby. Oh, wah, I just want to race. Wah, wah, wah.
GEMMA: This race isn't for you two.
SANDY: Not a race.
ROADIE, IN A BABY VOICE: The big kids won't let us play.
REEF, IN A BABY VOICE: Big meanies.
[Both imitate crying]
SANDY: Well, they certainly commit.
[Soft music plays]
WEI: Oh, it's sad to be left out.
DOUGIE: Can't they join us?
PHILLIPA: Friends, friends.
NEVILLE: I don't see why not.
[Footsteps rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Neville and Frizzy arrive.
POUNCE: No way. They're way bigger. The Juniors can't beat them.
FRIZZY: But it's not a competition, so there's no one to beat.
SANDY: Now you're getting it. Alright, Reef and Roadie, you're in, but play fair.
REEF, IN A BABY VOICE: Yay! Googoo gaga.
[Whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: Roadie, the junior-junior cadets, and Reef stand in a row on the starting line.
FRIZZY, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: Introducing the Big Baby Cadet Challenge.
[Participants cheer, Neville grunts]
DESCRIPTION: Neville hops across a hopscotch course on the sand. Pounce hops across the rectangle of sand, the Dodge Beachball Challenge, and Bondi throws a beachball at him.
FRIZZY, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: First, you must froggy hop across the sandy hopscotch course, avoid the beach balls in the Dodge Beachball Challenge...
[Beachball whooshes]
DESCRIPTION: Pounce ducks beneath the ball.
POUNCE: Whoa!
FRIZZY, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: Slip on down the slippery slide...
[Water sprays, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: Gemma slides down the waterslide on her tummy.
GEMMA: Woo-hoo! Yeah. Woo.
[Floaties rustle]
DESCRIPTION: On the pizza floatie in water, Frizzy carries the megaphone as she hops on the floaties and onto the sand.
FRIZZY, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: And bounce across our epic inflatable obstacle course.
[Participants cheer]
SANDY: And since it's not a race, you can start the challenge whenever you like.
[Soft music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Reef and Roadie race away from the finish line.
ROADIE: Go, Reef, go, go, go. Beat the babies.
PHILLIPA: Runnies.
[Footsteps rustle, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The junior-junior cadets follow Reef and Roadie.
NEVILLE: Remember, it's not a race.
FRIZZY, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: Just have fun.
POUNCE: Run, Dougie! Run faster!
GEMMA: Run faster than fast, Wei.
GHERKINN: And off they are going - four cute little kiddies and two big giant babies.
NEVILLE: Woo-hoo! Great work!
[Wei pants]
DESCRIPTION: Wei hops on the hopscotch course with Dougie behind him.
POUNCE: Faster! You've got this.
GEMMA: You can catch up. Let's go.
[The music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Wei and Dougie hop side by side and fall at the end of the course.
WEI AND DOUGIE: Oh! Oh!
[Cheerful music plays]
SAMMY: Whoopee.
[Sammy and Phillipa giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Sammy and Phillipa reach the hopscotch course, and Sammy hops.
NEVILLE: Great work.
FRIZZY, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: Take your time.
[The music stops]
SAMMY: OK.
[Sammy and Phillipa giggle, boing, thump]
DESCRIPTION: Sammy and Phillipa bounce off each other and fall.
FRIZZY: Maybe take a little less time.
[Whoosh, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Roadie and Reef enter the Dodge Beachball Challenge. Sandy, Big Trev, and Bondi stand beside the course with beachballs.
BONDI: Here comes trouble.
[Thump, whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: Sandy throws her beachball at Reef, and he hits it towards Big Trev, who ducks.
REEF: Uh.
[The music stops]
BIG TREV: Ah! Great gumnuts.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi throws his beachball at Roadie, who jumps and catches it.
ROADIE: Thanks. It's mine now.
BONDI: Hey, give that back.
ROADIE: OK.
[Beachball rustles]
DESCRIPTION: Roadie throws the beachball behind him, and it hits Wei as he enters the Dodge Beachball Challenge area. He falls and lands on Dougie.
WEI: Oh.
REEF: Strike!
[Sammy and Phillipa giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi and Big Trev roll balls past Sammy and Phillipa.
[Wei pants, soft music plays]
WEI: We're so far behind.
POUNCE: Keep going. You can still win this.
GEMMA: Don't give up. Come on! Go get 'em.
FRIZZY, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: Remember, you're fabulous.
NEVILLE: Come on, get up. You can do it.
[Wei and Dougie pant]
DESCRIPTION: Wei and Dougie stand and run.
[Water sprays, soap squelches, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Reef and Roadie reach the top of the water slide, and Roadie squirts soap into his hand. He offers the bottle to Reef.
ROADIE: Quick, put this soap on you.
REEF: But I don't need a bath. Roadie? I had one last Christmas.
ROADIE: Yeah, nah. So, we're real slippery.
[Soap squelches, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Roadie squirts soap onto Reef’s flipper as Phillipa and Sammy approach. He and Reef put the soap on their tummies and slide.
ROADIE: Hey, hey.
[Water splashes, thumps]
DESCRIPTION: Roadie and Reef bounce on the floaties to the floatie pizza slices. They jump on the floatie, smiling.
BOTH: Whoa! Whoa, whoa, whoa. Oh.
[Wei and Dougie pant, upbeat music plays, water sprays, Sammy and Phillipa cheer, laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Wei and Dougie arrive at the top of the water slide as Sammy and Phillipa slide down.
[The music stops, water sprays]
DOUGIE: Oh, we're never gonna win. I give up.
DESCRIPTION: Dougie sits on the sand.
WEI: Me, too.
DESCRIPTION: Wei sits on the sand.
GEMMA: Oh, no. I think we ruined their fun.
POUNCE: Yeah.
[He gasps]
POUNCE: But I've got an idea.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Pounce uses Frizzy’s megaphone.
POUNCE, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: Attention, all. This challenge isn't about winning. It's about having fun.
[Water sprays, Wei and Dougie gasp]
POUNCE, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: And whoever has the most fun will get extra sprinkles on their ice cream.
[Wei gasps]
WEI: - Huh, sprinkles?
DOUGIE: Hey, let's have fun.
DESCRIPTION: Wei nods at Dougie, and they both slide down the water slide on their backs.
DOUGIE AND WEI: Whoa, whoa.
[Junior-junior cadets, thump, upbeat music plays, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: Wei and Dougie land between Sammy and Phillipa at the bottom of the waterslide. Reef bounces happily on the pizza floatie.
REEF: Whoo, whee, whoo. Hey, Roadie.
ROADIE: What are you doing, Reef?
[The music stops]
DESCRIPTION: The pizza floatie splits in half, and Reef and Roadie slowly float away from each other.
REEF: Having fun. Like the kangaroo said, we're supposed to.
[Serious music plays]
ROADIE: Nah.
REEF: Yeah.
ROADIE: Nah, yeah.
REEF: Yeah, nah.
[Thump, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: They glance down at the separating slices, and Roadie jumps onto Reef’s slice.
REEF: Get off! This is my slice.
ROADIE: Yeah, nah. Give me some room.
[Slide whistle, splash, junior-junior cadets gasp, water splashes, energetic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Reef and Roadie fall into the water. The junior-junior cadets watch from the edge of the platform. Reef and Roadie surface, and Reef’s bonnet covers his eyes.
REEF: Help, I can't see.
ROADIE: This nappy is getting heavy.
DESCRIPTION: Frizzy holds a walkie-talkie.
FRIZZY: Bondi, Sandy, trouble in the lagoon.
[Water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi jumps on his rescue board and paddles. Sandy hops onto her personal watercraft.
BONDI: Hang tight.
[Motor rumbles]
DESCRIPTION: Sandy drives behind Bondi.
SANDY: On it like a seagull on a chip.
[Alarm blares, exciting music plays, clicks, beeps, helicopter blades whirr, engine hums, whooshes]
DESCRIPTION: The cadets, Bondi, and Sandy, prepare their rescue equipment. A montage shows a motorboat, a helicopter, a minisub, and a dune buggy. The cadets pose.

DESCRIPTION: Reef and Roadie float in the middle of the pizza slice floaties.
ROADIE AND REEF: Help.
WEI: Stay calm and float.
ROADIE: We don't know how.

DESCRIPTION: Sandy and Bondi arrive, and Bondi pulls Roadie to the rescue board.
BONDI: You're alright.

DESCRIPTION: Sandy pulls Reef onto the personal watercraft.
SANDY: We've got you.
[Motor hums, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: Sandy and Bondi take Reef and Roadie to the shore.
JUNIOR-JUNIOR CADETS CHEER: Yay!
POUNCE: Wow! Great job, Junior-Junior-Cadets.
[Water splashes, amused music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Water flows out of the sides of Roadie’s diaper.
SANDY: Looks like you might need a nappy change.
[Reef laughs]
ROADIE: Oh.
BONDI: That's why we never wear normal clothes or nappies in the water. They can weigh you down.
REEF: Oh, thanks for saving us. So, did we win?
SANDY: Not a race. Nothing to win.
BIG TREV: The real winners were the Juniors for keeping you calm in a crisis. And for having the most fun.
[Junior-junior cadets cheer, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: At the ice cream truck, Ferdinand holds ice cream cones. Gherkinn stands on the sand with his hands on his hips.
FERDINAND: Come and get 'em. Extra sprinkles all around.

BONDI: You better double that order, Ferdinand. I think the cadets deserve a treat today as well.
[Cadets cheer, Roadie and Reef pretend cry]

DESCRIPTION: Big Trev, Sandy, and Bondi stand at the finish line. Gemma and Pounce cross the line and stop.
SANDY: Come on, get in. Whoo!
[The music stops]
FERDINAND ANNOUNCES: And that's the end of the race.
POUNCE: I won.
GEMMA: No, I won.
[Light music plays]
SANDY: Everybody won because you all did your best and had fun.
POUNCE: Well, I did my best better.
GEMMA: And I had way more fun.
[Panting, cheering, Neville groans, slide whistle, thump]
DESCRIPTION: Everyone else reaches the finish line. Neville staggers across the line and falls on the sand. Phillipa rolls off his back.
NEVILLE: Oh.
DOUGIE: Can we have a turn?
WEI: Yeah, we want to race.
[Junior-junior cadets plead]
BONDI: I'm afraid a triathlon is a race for the big kids.
[Junior-junior cadets groan, cry]
DOUGIE: Oh.
WEI: Not fair.
[Upbeat music plays]
FRIZZY: But I bet we could do another race, couldn't we, Sandy?
SANDY: Sure, but how about a challenge?
NEVILLE: Yes. So, it's not all about winning.
JUNIOR-JUNIOR CADETS: Yay!
POUNCE: I'll coach whoever wants to come first.
GEMMA: And I'll coach whoever wants to beat them.
SANDY: Not a race. Nothing to win.
BIG TREV: If you finish the challenge, I'll buy you all an ice cream.
JUNIOR-JUNIOR CADETS: Awesome. Awesome.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Roadie and Reef stand nearby, beside the ice cream truck.
ROADIE: Hear that, Reefy? Free ice cream for whoever wins the Baby Challenge?
REEF: Great idea, Roadie. But one problem...We're not babies. Roadie, where'd you go?
DESCRIPTION: Roadie walks out from behind the ice cream truck, wearing a bonnet, a soother on a string, and a diaper.
ROADIE: Wah. Googoo gaga.
REEF: Hey, where'd this baby come from?
[Roadie laughs, wave crashes, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Later, a course on the beach includes a large, rectangular area of sand with a blue line around it, a long water slide leading to a floating platform, floaties, a pizza-shaped floatie, and more floaties that create a line back to shore. Gemma stands with Dougie on a starting line, and Pounce stands with Wei. Phillipa and Sammy run in circles in the background.
GEMMA: You're not a wombat. You're a 'win-bat'. Say it.
DOUGIE: Uh... I'm a Winbat.
[Phillipa and Sammy giggle]
POUNCE: You've got this.
WEI: I've got what?
DESCRIPTION: Gherkinn and Ferdinand stand on the platform at the ice cream truck.
GHERKINN: Oh, goodiness, it is almost time for the tiny little Baby Challenge.
FERDINAND ANNOUNCES: Oh, I wouldn't call them babies, Gherkinn.
GHERKINN: No, those babies.
[Roadie and Reef giggle, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Roadie and Reef walk to the starting line. Roadie wears his baby outfit, and Reef wears a bib and a bonnet.
ROADIE: This is our smartiest plan ever.
REEF: Yeah.
[Both laugh, sand rustles]
DESCRIPTION: They walk to Sandy.
SANDY: Reef and Roadie, what are you doing here?
ROADIE, IN A BABY VOICE: Who's Weef and Woadie?
[Roadie imitate crying]
REEF, IN A BABY VOICE: I'm a big baby. Oh, wah, I just want to race. Wah, wah, wah.
GEMMA: This race isn't for you two.
SANDY: Not a race.
ROADIE, IN A BABY VOICE: The big kids won't let us play.
REEF, IN A BABY VOICE: Big meanies.
[Both imitate crying]
SANDY: Well, they certainly commit.
[Soft music plays]
WEI: Oh, it's sad to be left out.
DOUGIE: Can't they join us?
PHILLIPA: Friends, friends.
NEVILLE: I don't see why not.
[Footsteps rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Neville and Frizzy arrive.
POUNCE: No way. They're way bigger. The Juniors can't beat them.
FRIZZY: But it's not a competition, so there's no one to beat.
SANDY: Now you're getting it. Alright, Reef and Roadie, you're in, but play fair.
REEF, IN A BABY VOICE: Yay! Googoo gaga.
[Whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: Roadie, the junior-junior cadets, and Reef stand in a row on the starting line.
FRIZZY, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: Introducing the Big Baby Cadet Challenge.
[Participants cheer, Neville grunts]
DESCRIPTION: Neville hops across a hopscotch course on the sand. Pounce hops across the rectangle of sand, the Dodge Beachball Challenge, and Bondi throws a beachball at him.
FRIZZY, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: First, you must froggy hop across the sandy hopscotch course, avoid the beach balls in the Dodge Beachball Challenge...
[Beachball whooshes]
DESCRIPTION: Pounce ducks beneath the ball.
POUNCE: Whoa!
FRIZZY, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: Slip on down the slippery slide...
[Water sprays, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: Gemma slides down the waterslide on her tummy.
GEMMA: Woo-hoo! Yeah. Woo.
[Floaties rustle]
DESCRIPTION: On the pizza floatie in water, Frizzy carries the megaphone as she hops on the floaties and onto the sand.
FRIZZY, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: And bounce across our epic inflatable obstacle course.
[Participants cheer]
SANDY: And since it's not a race, you can start the challenge whenever you like.
[Soft music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Reef and Roadie race away from the finish line.
ROADIE: Go, Reef, go, go, go. Beat the babies.
PHILLIPA: Runnies.
[Footsteps rustle, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The junior-junior cadets follow Reef and Roadie.
NEVILLE: Remember, it's not a race.
FRIZZY, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: Just have fun.
POUNCE: Run, Dougie! Run faster!
GEMMA: Run faster than fast, Wei.
GHERKINN: And off they are going - four cute little kiddies and two big giant babies.
NEVILLE: Woo-hoo! Great work!
[Wei pants]
DESCRIPTION: Wei hops on the hopscotch course with Dougie behind him.
POUNCE: Faster! You've got this.
GEMMA: You can catch up. Let's go.
[The music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Wei and Dougie hop side by side and fall at the end of the course.
WEI AND DOUGIE: Oh! Oh!
[Cheerful music plays]
SAMMY: Whoopee.
[Sammy and Phillipa giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Sammy and Phillipa reach the hopscotch course, and Sammy hops.
NEVILLE: Great work.
FRIZZY, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: Take your time.
[The music stops]
SAMMY: OK.
[Sammy and Phillipa giggle, boing, thump]
DESCRIPTION: Sammy and Phillipa bounce off each other and fall.
FRIZZY: Maybe take a little less time.
[Whoosh, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Roadie and Reef enter the Dodge Beachball Challenge. Sandy, Big Trev, and Bondi stand beside the course with beachballs.
BONDI: Here comes trouble.
[Thump, whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: Sandy throws her beachball at Reef, and he hits it towards Big Trev, who ducks.
REEF: Uh.
[The music stops]
BIG TREV: Ah! Great gumnuts.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi throws his beachball at Roadie, who jumps and catches it.
ROADIE: Thanks. It's mine now.
BONDI: Hey, give that back.
ROADIE: OK.
[Beachball rustles]
DESCRIPTION: Roadie throws the beachball behind him, and it hits Wei as he enters the Dodge Beachball Challenge area. He falls and lands on Dougie.
WEI: Oh.
REEF: Strike!
[Sammy and Phillipa giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi and Big Trev roll balls past Sammy and Phillipa.
[Wei pants, soft music plays]
WEI: We're so far behind.
POUNCE: Keep going. You can still win this.
GEMMA: Don't give up. Come on! Go get 'em.
FRIZZY, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: Remember, you're fabulous.
NEVILLE: Come on, get up. You can do it.
[Wei and Dougie pant]
DESCRIPTION: Wei and Dougie stand and run.
[Water sprays, soap squelches, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Reef and Roadie reach the top of the water slide, and Roadie squirts soap into his hand. He offers the bottle to Reef.
ROADIE: Quick, put this soap on you.
REEF: But I don't need a bath. Roadie? I had one last Christmas.
ROADIE: Yeah, nah. So, we're real slippery.
[Soap squelches, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Roadie squirts soap onto Reef’s flipper as Phillipa and Sammy approach. He and Reef put the soap on their tummies and slide.
ROADIE: Hey, hey.
[Water splashes, thumps]
DESCRIPTION: Roadie and Reef bounce on the floaties to the floatie pizza slices. They jump on the floatie, smiling.
BOTH: Whoa! Whoa, whoa, whoa. Oh.
[Wei and Dougie pant, upbeat music plays, water sprays, Sammy and Phillipa cheer, laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Wei and Dougie arrive at the top of the water slide as Sammy and Phillipa slide down.
[The music stops, water sprays]
DOUGIE: Oh, we're never gonna win. I give up.
DESCRIPTION: Dougie sits on the sand.
WEI: Me, too.
DESCRIPTION: Wei sits on the sand.
GEMMA: Oh, no. I think we ruined their fun.
POUNCE: Yeah.
[He gasps]
POUNCE: But I've got an idea.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Pounce uses Frizzy’s megaphone.
POUNCE, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: Attention, all. This challenge isn't about winning. It's about having fun.
[Water sprays, Wei and Dougie gasp]
POUNCE, THROUGH MEGAPHONE: And whoever has the most fun will get extra sprinkles on their ice cream.
[Wei gasps]
WEI: - Huh, sprinkles?
DOUGIE: Hey, let's have fun.
DESCRIPTION: Wei nods at Dougie, and they both slide down the water slide on their backs.
DOUGIE AND WEI: Whoa, whoa.
[Junior-junior cadets, thump, upbeat music plays, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: Wei and Dougie land between Sammy and Phillipa at the bottom of the waterslide. Reef bounces happily on the pizza floatie.
REEF: Whoo, whee, whoo. Hey, Roadie.
ROADIE: What are you doing, Reef?
[The music stops]
DESCRIPTION: The pizza floatie splits in half, and Reef and Roadie slowly float away from each other.
REEF: Having fun. Like the kangaroo said, we're supposed to.
[Serious music plays]
ROADIE: Nah.
REEF: Yeah.
ROADIE: Nah, yeah.
REEF: Yeah, nah.
[Thump, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: They glance down at the separating slices, and Roadie jumps onto Reef’s slice.
REEF: Get off! This is my slice.
ROADIE: Yeah, nah. Give me some room.
[Slide whistle, splash, junior-junior cadets gasp, water splashes, energetic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Reef and Roadie fall into the water. The junior-junior cadets watch from the edge of the platform. Reef and Roadie surface, and Reef’s bonnet covers his eyes.
REEF: Help, I can't see.
ROADIE: This nappy is getting heavy.
DESCRIPTION: Frizzy holds a walkie-talkie.
FRIZZY: Bondi, Sandy, trouble in the lagoon.
[Water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi jumps on his rescue board and paddles. Sandy hops onto her personal watercraft.
BONDI: Hang tight.
[Motor rumbles]
DESCRIPTION: Sandy drives behind Bondi.
SANDY: On it like a seagull on a chip.
[Alarm blares, exciting music plays, clicks, beeps, helicopter blades whirr, engine hums, whooshes]
DESCRIPTION: The cadets, Bondi, and Sandy, prepare their rescue equipment. A montage shows a motorboat, a helicopter, a minisub, and a dune buggy. The cadets pose.
[Logo] Kangaroo Beach.
DESCRIPTION: Reef and Roadie float in the middle of the pizza slice floaties.
ROADIE AND REEF: Help.
WEI: Stay calm and float.
ROADIE: We don't know how.
DOUGIE: Try this song.
[Upbeat music plays]
DOUGIE SINGS: Air in my tummy…
PHILLIPA SINGS: Tummy in the air.
ALL SING: Legs all loose and arms out there.
DESCRIPTION: The junior-junior cadets lay on their backs on the platform.
[Water splashes]
REEF: Those babies seem smartsies.
ROADIE: Let's do what they say.
DESCRIPTION: Reef and Roadie float on their backs.
REEF AND ROADIE SING: Air in my tummy, tummy in the air. Legs all loose and arms out there.
[Motor hums, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Sandy and Bondi arrive, and Bondi pulls Roadie to the rescue board.
BONDI: You're alright.
[Water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: Sandy pulls Reef onto the personal watercraft.
SANDY: We've got you.
[Motor hums, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: Sandy and Bondi take Reef and Roadie to the shore.
JUNIOR-JUNIOR CADETS CHEER: Yay!
POUNCE: Wow! Great job, Junior-Junior-Cadets.
[Water splashes, amused music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Water flows out of the sides of Roadie’s diaper.
SANDY: Looks like you might need a nappy change.
[Reef laughs]
ROADIE: Oh.
BONDI: That's why we never wear normal clothes or nappies in the water. They can weigh you down.
REEF: Oh, thanks for saving us. So, did we win?
SANDY: Not a race. Nothing to win.
BIG TREV: The real winners were the Juniors for keeping you calm in a crisis. And for having the most fun.
[Junior-junior cadets cheer, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: At the ice cream truck, Ferdinand holds ice cream cones. Gherkinn stands on the sand with his hands on his hips.
FERDINAND: Come and get 'em. Extra sprinkles all around.
[Junior-junior cadets cheer]
BONDI: You better double that order, Ferdinand. I think the cadets deserve a treat today as well.
[Cadets cheer, Roadie and Reef pretend cry]
DESCRIPTION: Ferdinand offers Roadie and Reef ice cream cones.
ROADIE: Huh?
[Light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Reef and Roadie take their ice cream.
REEF: Hoho, yummy.
ROADIE: Told you it'd work, Reefy! Haha!
[Slurp]
DESCRIPTION: Reef and Roadie lick their ice cream.
ALL: Ice cream.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi and Sandy watch the others eat their ice cream cones. Bondi turns and hops up the dune.
BONDI: Race you to the top.
SANDY: Uh, it's not a race.
[Water sprays]
DESCRIPTION: Bondi blocks Sandy at the top of the water slide.
BONDI: Oh, me first.
SANDY: Come on. Me, me.
BIG TREV: We're all winners.
[Water splashes, Big Trev laughs, Sandy and Bondi shout, all three laugh, cheer]
DESCRIPTION: Big Trev slides down the slide. Sandy and Bondi slide down behind him.
[Upbeat music plays]
