DESCRIPTION: In an animation, five-year-old Rosie adjusts a camera and poses with her family. Rosie has long brown hair and wears blue overalls and a yellow T-shirt. Her two-year-old brother Iggy chases Gatita, a fluffy white cat. Rosie’s Papa, Marco, who has short brown hair, chases Iggy. Rosie’s mom, Liz, stands with an arm around the shoulders of Rosie’s 12-year-old half-sister, Crystal. Crystal’s blonde hair is in a ponytail with a pink streak in the front.

DESCRIPTION: Rosie points at Gatita, who wears an astronaut helmet.
ROSIE: Mucho empanada! Gatita and I are going to outer space today, but I can't find my astronaut helmet!

ROSIE’S PAPA: Ay, eso no es bueno, you cannot go to outer space without an astronaut helmet!
[Gatita meows, taps]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy shakes his head. Rosie walks to the kitchen table and sits in a chair.
ROSIE’S PAPA: Don't worry, Mija. I'll help you look for it, as soon as we get back.
ROSIE: Get back? Where are we going?
ROSIE’S PAPA: We have a very busy morning. First, we're going to have quesadillas for breakfast.
[Plates tap, happy music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie’s papa puts a plate with a quesadilla on the table in front of her and Iggy.
ROSIE AND IGGY: Yay!
ROSIE’S PAPA: Then we're going to get dressed.
[Happy music notes play]
ROSIE AND IGGY: Yay!
ROSIE’S PAPA: And then, we're going to take Iggy to his doctor's appointment!
[Discordant music notes play, food clunks]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy’s eyes widen, and he drops his quesadilla.
ROSIE: Yay!
ROSIE WHISPERS: Iggy, you forgot to yay.
[Iggy gulps]
IGGY: Iggy go to doctor?
[Light music plays]
ROSIE’S PAPA: Sí. Remember? You're going to have your checkup with Dr. Mabel. In fact, I'd better start getting ready. We'll go in a little while, niños.
[Rock music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie dances in her chair.
ROSIE: Okay, Papá!
[Rock music plays]
ROSIE: Today's gonna be supertastical!
DESCRIPTION: Rosie dances in her chair.
ROSIE SINGS: Oh, yeah, gonna go to the doctor with Iggy.
[Needle scratches a record]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie notices Iggy’s highchair is empty.
ROSIE: Iggy? Are you still here?
IGGY: No.
DESCRIPTION: Iggy hides under the table, and Rosie peeks under the tablecloth.
ROSIE: Rosie's Rule. When you see your brother's feet under the table, the rest of him is probably there, too. What are you doing under here?
[Light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie crawls under the table to Iggy.
IGGY: Iggy no wanna go see doctor.
ROSIE: But Dr. Mabel is so nice! Don't you remember how she checks how tall you are?
[Grumpy music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy shakes his head.
IGGY: Uh-uh.
ROSIE: And she uses that thingamadoodle to check your eyes and ears and nose?
[Grumpy music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy shakes his head.
IGGY: Uh-uh.
ROSIE: And how after the checkup, she gives you a sticker?
[Grumpy music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy shakes his head.
IGGY: Uh. Uh-uh.
ROSIE: Oh! So, that's why you seem worried. You don't remember anything about the doctor!
DESCRIPTION: Iggy nods.
IGGY: Uh-huh. Iggy worried.
ROSIE: Well, guess what? I'm gonna help you not feel worried!
DESCRIPTION: Rosie crawls out from under the table.
ROSIE: But how? I've gotta know!
[Lively music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie dances.
ROSIE SINGS: I have a great big question, and I just can't let it go. Yo quiero saberlo, I really gotta know.
ROSIE: How can I help Iggy not feel worried? Maybe...
[Lively music continues, slide whistles, water splashes, chimes]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie imagines riding dinosaur rides on a bumpy track, watering a mound of dirt and lollipops grow, cat and dog puppets in a puppet theatre, and wiggling her nose and watching snow fall.
ROSIE SINGS: I can take him on a bumpy dino ride. Grow a patch of lollipops, every shape and size. Put on a wow-mazing puppet show. Wiggle my nose and make it snow.
ROSIE: Make it snow with my nose.
[Rosie gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy walks to Rosie.
[Happy music plays]
ROSIE: I've got it! We can go on a big, supertastical adventure.
IGGY: Yay!
ROSIE: And then you'll feel brave and not worried about the doctor! Vámonos!
[Rustle, whoosh, happy music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In the living room, Rosie jumps onto the couch, wearing a red cape.
ROSIE: It's Super Rosie! And Super Gatita!
[Gatita meows]
DESCRIPTION: Gatita jumps on the couch, wearing a red cape, and puts her paws on her hips.
ROSIE: And...
IGGY: Super Iggy!
[Whoosh, slide whistle, thump, Gatita meows]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy jumps onto the couch and lands on his tummy, bouncing Gatita onto the floor.
ROSIE: Ready to have a brave adventure?
[Rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy kneels and lifts his arms.
IGGY: Iggy ready!
[Happy music plays, giggling]
DESCRIPTION: In the living room, Iggy and Rosie run to a pillow tunnel created from two cushions leaning against each other.
ROSIE AND IGGY: Woo! Woo! Woo-hoo!
DESCRIPTION: Rosie crawls through the tunnel.
ROSIE: Through the underground tunnel.
[Both giggle]
ROSIE: Watch your head!
[Rosie grunts, thuds, both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy follows Rosie and bumps into her bottom when she stops. Rosie falls forward.
ROSIE: Over the super tall buildings!
[Gatita meows]
DESCRIPTION: Gatita watches Iggy climb piled cushions. At the top, he wobbles and puts his arms out.
IGGY: Whoa!
ROSIE: Don't look down.
[Both giggle, Gatita meows]
ROSIE: Across the deep, dark ocean!
[Whoosh, Iggy giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie jumps onto a blue carpet and imitates swimming. Iggy holds his nose and jumps onto the carpet. Rosie stops swimming near a shark stuffed toy. She picks the shark up and falls onto her back, kicking her feet.
ROSIE: Uh-oh. It's a shark! Ah! Go away, shark!
IGGY: Yeah! Go away!
[Gatita meows, yowls, whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: Gatita jumps down and grabs the shark. She bats the toy away from Rosie and chases it.
ROSIE: The shark swam away!
[Rosie giggles, happy music plays]
ROSIE: What a wow-mazing adventure! Iggy, don't you feel brave?
[Upbeat music notes play]
IGGY: Yes.
ROSIE: Like you can do anything?
[Upbeat music notes play, whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy throws the shark toy and puts his hands on his hips.
IGGY: Yes!
ROSIE: Like, go to the doctor?
IGGY: No!
[Discordant music notes play]
ROSIE: What?!
IGGY: No doctor for Iggy.
[Unhappy music notes play]
ROSIE: Well, that didn't work.
[Gatita meows]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie picks up a turtle stuffie.
ROSIE: Hola, Señor Turtle. Do you know how to help Iggy not be worried? Wait a sec-amadoodle!
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In his room, Iggy lies on his bed with dinosaur stuffies on the carpet beside it. Gatita jumps onto the bed as Rosie carries the turtle to it.
ROSIE: Hey, Iggy, what if you brought something with you to the doctor, to help you not feel worried? Something soft and cuddly.
[Iggy gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie hugs the turtle stuffie. Iggy grabs Gatita and hugs her.
IGGY: Bring Tita?
[Gatita meows, Rosie giggles]
ROSIE: Not Gatita. A stuffie!
[Rustle, happy music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy picks up his pink axolotl stuffie, Lote.
IGGY: Hm. Iggy take Lote!
[Gatita meows]
ROSIE: Perfecto!
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie walks away and stops when Iggy picks up more dinosaur stuffies.
IGGY: And Iggy take Timmy and Maria and Mow-Mow and Butta. Ready.
DESCRIPTION: Iggy stands covered with dinosaur stuffies, and Rosie’s mouth falls open.
ROSIE: Um, I don't think you can take all those stuffies to the doctor.
[Gatita meows]
DESCRIPTION: Gatita shakes her head.
IGGY: Aw.
[Rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy sits, and the stuffies fall on the carpet. Rosie picks up Lote.
ROSIE: How about you just take Lote?
[Rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy takes Lote.
IGGY: Okay, but, Rosie?
ROSIE: Yes?
IGGY: Lote no want to go to doctor. Bye-bye.
[Gatita meows, hand slaps]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy walks away from Rosie, who face palms. Her shoulders droop, and Gatita flops onto the carpet.
ROSIE: I need to call Abuela.
[Cheerful music notes play, geeps]
DESCRIPTION: In the living room, Rosie sits on the couch, holding a tablet. She taps the Abuela icon. Abuela appears by a table, with a bowl of snacks, a deck of cards, a notepad, and a pencil.
ROSIE: Hola, Abuela!
[Bowl scrapes]
DESCRIPTION: Abuela waves, then pushes the bowl across the table.
ABUELA: Hola, mi niña! I'm setting up a game of Canasta for later today.
[Abuela gasps]
ABUELA SHOUTS: One more chair, por favor!
ABUELA: Qué pasa?
[Light music plays]
ROSIE: I want to help Iggy not feel worried about going to the doctor for his checkup, but I don't know how.
[Rustle, light music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: A woman with long brown hair puts a chair on Abuela’s left. She returns with a cup. A second woman brings a snack tray and places it to Abuela’s right.
ABUELA: Ya veo. Mira, Rosalía. Maybe you can play a game Iggy likes. That way, he'll think about the game and not the doctor, and then he won't be so worried!
[Abuela gasps]
ABUELA: Ay, I need to find another deck of cards! Adiós granito de arroz!
DESCRIPTION: Abuela and the two women smile and wave. Rosie waves.
ROSIE: Ciao, bacalao!
[Beep]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie ends the call.
ROSIE: It's game time!
DESCRIPTION: In her room, Rosie stands with large blocks resembling dinosaur parts. Gatita pushes a purple, leg-like, cylinder-shaped piece toward Rosie.
ROSIE: Okay, Iggy, it's time to play your favourite game. Dino blocks!
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy runs to Rosie.
IGGY: Dino blocks, dino blocks!
DESCRIPTION: Rosie holds a block with an eye over a block with a mouth.
ROSIE: Roar!
[Rosie giggles]
IGGY: Roar, roar!
[Iggy giggles, Gatita meows]
DESCRIPTION: Gatita pretends to hit a stack of blocks.
ROSIE: Whoa, it's getting so tall!
[Blocks rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy looks up at the face of his dino block dinosaur.
IGGY: So tall!
[Thump, giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy falls on his bottom as he looks up.
ROSIE: Isn't this fun?
DESCRIPTION: Iggy dances on Rosie’s bed.
IGGY: Yeah, this fun! Woo-hoo!
[The music stops]
ROSIE: Rosie's Rule. If your brother is worried, he can play a dino game and then he won't have to think about the doctor at all!
[Light music notes play]
IGGY: Doctor?
[Gatita meows]
ROSIE: Oops.
[Tense music plays]
IGGY: Iggy no go to doctor!
[Thump, Gatita yowls, slide whistle, Rosie sighs, tense music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy crosses his arms and sits on the bed. The dino blocks fall, and Gatita jumps off the bed to the carpet. Nearby, Rosie paces.
ROSIE: I've tried to help Iggy not be worried about going to the doctor, but nothing's working and... I need to flop.
[Boing, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie flops onto the carpet and lies on her back.
ROSIE: Breathe in.
[Inhales]
ROSIE: Breathe out.
[Exhales, rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie wiggles on the carpet.
ROSIE: Wiggle about. Now, I'm ready to figure this out.
DESCRIPTION: Rosie jumps to her feet.
ROSIE: Vamos a ver!
[Knock on the door, door opens, light music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie’s papa opens the door and looks inside. He holds up the astronaut helmet.
ROSIE’S PAPA: Rosie? Guess what I found?
[Rosie gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie puts on the helmet.
ROSIE: My astronaut helmet!
ROSIE’S PAPA: Yup. It was in the bathtub.
ROSIE: Oh! That makes sense.
[Rosie’s papa chuckles]
ROSIE’S PAPA: It does? Hmm.
[Door squeaks, shuts]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie’s papa leaves, and Rosie crouches in front of Gatita.
ROSIE: Muy bien, Gatita! Now, when I get back from the doctor, we can pretend we're astronauts in outer space!
[Rosie gasps]
ROSIE: Pretend? Hm.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie takes off the helmet and puts it on the carpet, and dances across the room.
ROSIE SINGS: Iggy's worried 'bout the doctor, I know. Because he can't remember what it's like to go.
[Gatita meows]
DESCRIPTION: Gatita nods. Rosie takes a stethoscope out of her toy box and dances.
ROSIE SINGS: I'll pretend I'm a doctor and act it out. Then Iggy will see what it's all about.
[Energetic music plays, clapping]
DESCRIPTION: Gatita plays bongo drums. Rosie and Gatita dance.
ROSIE SINGS: I had a great big problem, un gran problemón. So, I thought about it and figured it out. And now I really know. Ya sé! Hey-hey. I figured it all out today. Whoa, let's go, 'cause now I really know. Now I really know.
[Popping]
DESCRIPTION: In her imagination, Rosie runs across the top of a ship and a piggy bank. She and Gatita land on a globe, and it spins as they walk on top of it. Popcorn covers them, and the daydream ends. In Rosie’s room, Iggy lies face down on the bed, and Rosie approaches him.
ROSIE: Iggy? We're gonna have a pretend doctor's appointment!
[Light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: A drawing on Rosie’s door features a stethoscope and a doctor’s bag. Rosie stands in front of Iggy, wearing a lab coat and a stethoscope. She consults a clipboard.
ROSIE: Welcome to Rosie's Doctor's Office! I'm Doctor Rosie. Are you Iggy?
IGGY: Yes.
ROSIE: Wow-mazing! I mean, very well, fine, good. The nurse will take you inside. Oh, nurse!
[Door opens, Gatita meows, Iggy laughs]
DESCRIPTION: The closet door opens, and Gatita walks out, wearing a nurse’s hat. Iggy stands beside a paper with a vertical line and three horizontal lines taped to the front of a dresser. Gatita sits on top, watching.
ROSIE: Comencemos! First, I will see how tall you are. Stand here, por favor.
[Rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie draws a line on the paper.
ROSIE: Look how much you grew!
[Iggy giggles]
IGGY: Iggy grew!

DESCRIPTION: Iggy raises an eyebrow as Rosie touches a toy to his forehead.
ROSIE: Next, I will take your temperature. Beep-beep!
DESCRIPTION: Iggy smiles.

DESCRIPTION: Rosie opens her mouth, and Iggy imitates her.
IGGY: Ah.
DESCRIPTION: Rosie opens her mouth and crosses her eyes, and Iggy imitates her.

[Gatita meows]
DESCRIPTION: Gatita crosses her eyes.
ROSIE: Perfecto! Last, I'll check your heart.
[Thump]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie holds the stethoscope to Iggy’s chest, then takes the stethoscope off.
ROSIE: Bum-bum. Bum-bum. Bum-bum. Sounds good to me. We're all done!
[Upbeat music plays]
IGGY: Yay!
ROSIE: See Iggy? Now you know what happens at the doctor! So, how do you feel about going to your check-up now?
[Tense music plays, happy music notes play]
IGGO: Iggy feel…not worried!
ROSIE: OÓrale!
[Gatita meows]
[Door opens]
DESCRIPTION: Later, Rosie, her papa, and Iggy leave the doctor’s office, and Dr. Mabel follows them outside. She has long brown hair and wears a lab coat, a blue shirt, and grey pants.
DR. MABEL: Great checkup today, Iggy.
[Doctor gasps]
DR. MABEL: Oh, I almost forgot.
[Iggy and Rosie gasp]
DESCRIPTION: Dr. Mabel takes a dinosaur sticker out of her pocket and gives it to Iggy.
DR. MABEL: Here.
IGGY: Dino sticker! Roar!
ROSIE’S PAPA: Thank you, Dr. Mabel!
DESCRIPTION: Dr. Mabel waves, and Rosie and her papa wave back.
ROSIE: Bye!
IGGY: Iggy was very brave at his checkup today!
ROSIE: That's because he had a pretend checkup first. With me!
[Happy music notes play]
IGGY: Doctor Rosie!
DESCRIPTION: Iggy runs with his sticker.

DESCRIPTION: Rosie’s papa puts a plate with a quesadilla on the table in front of her and Iggy.
ROSIE AND IGGY: Yay!
ROSIE’S PAPA: Then we're going to get dressed.
[Happy music notes play]
ROSIE AND IGGY: Yay!
ROSIE’S PAPA: And then, we're going to take Iggy to his doctor's appointment!
[Discordant music notes play, food clunks]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy’s eyes widen, and he drops his quesadilla.
ROSIE: Yay!
ROSIE WHISPERS: Iggy, you forgot to yay.
[Iggy gulps]
IGGY: Iggy go to doctor?
[Light music plays]
ROSIE’S PAPA: Sí. Remember? You're going to have your checkup with Dr. Mabel. In fact, I'd better start getting ready. We'll go in a little while, niños.
[Rock music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie dances in her chair.
ROSIE: Okay, Papá!
[Rock music plays]
ROSIE: Today's gonna be supertastical!
DESCRIPTION: Rosie dances in her chair.
ROSIE SINGS: Oh, yeah, gonna go to the doctor with Iggy.
[Needle scratches a record]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie notices Iggy’s highchair is empty.
ROSIE: Iggy? Are you still here?
IGGY: No.
DESCRIPTION: Iggy hides under the table, and Rosie peeks under the tablecloth.
ROSIE: Rosie's Rule. When you see your brother's feet under the table, the rest of him is probably there, too. What are you doing under here?
[Light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie crawls under the table to Iggy.
IGGY: Iggy no wanna go see doctor.
ROSIE: But Dr. Mabel is so nice! Don't you remember how she checks how tall you are?
[Grumpy music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy shakes his head.
IGGY: Uh-uh.
ROSIE: And she uses that thingamadoodle to check your eyes and ears and nose?
[Grumpy music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy shakes his head.
IGGY: Uh-uh.
ROSIE: And how after the checkup, she gives you a sticker?
[Grumpy music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy shakes his head.
IGGY: Uh. Uh-uh.
ROSIE: Oh! So, that's why you seem worried. You don't remember anything about the doctor!
DESCRIPTION: Iggy nods.
IGGY: Uh-huh. Iggy worried.
ROSIE: Well, guess what? I'm gonna help you not feel worried!
DESCRIPTION: Rosie crawls out from under the table.
ROSIE: But how? I've gotta know!
[Lively music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie dances.
ROSIE SINGS: I have a great big question, and I just can't let it go. Yo quiero saberlo, I really gotta know.
ROSIE: How can I help Iggy not feel worried? Maybe...
[Lively music continues, slide whistles, water splashes, chimes]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie imagines riding dinosaur rides on a bumpy track, watering a mound of dirt and lollipops grow, cat and dog puppets in a puppet theatre, and wiggling her nose and watching snow fall.
ROSIE SINGS: I can take him on a bumpy dino ride. Grow a patch of lollipops, every shape and size. Put on a wow-mazing puppet show. Wiggle my nose and make it snow.
ROSIE: Make it snow with my nose.
[Rosie gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy walks to Rosie.
[Happy music plays]
ROSIE: I've got it! We can go on a big, supertastical adventure.
IGGY: Yay!
ROSIE: And then you'll feel brave and not worried about the doctor! Vámonos!
[Rustle, whoosh, happy music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In the living room, Rosie jumps onto the couch, wearing a red cape.
ROSIE: It's Super Rosie! And Super Gatita!
[Gatita meows]
DESCRIPTION: Gatita jumps on the couch, wearing a red cape, and puts her paws on her hips.
ROSIE: And...
IGGY: Super Iggy!
[Whoosh, slide whistle, thump, Gatita meows]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy jumps onto the couch and lands on his tummy, bouncing Gatita onto the floor.
ROSIE: Ready to have a brave adventure?
[Rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy kneels and lifts his arms.
IGGY: Iggy ready!
[Happy music plays, giggling]
DESCRIPTION: In the living room, Iggy and Rosie run to a pillow tunnel created from two cushions leaning against each other.
ROSIE AND IGGY: Woo! Woo! Woo-hoo!
DESCRIPTION: Rosie crawls through the tunnel.
ROSIE: Through the underground tunnel.
[Both giggle]
ROSIE: Watch your head!
[Rosie grunts, thuds, both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy follows Rosie and bumps into her bottom when she stops. Rosie falls forward.
ROSIE: Over the super tall buildings!
[Gatita meows]
DESCRIPTION: Gatita watches Iggy climb piled cushions. At the top, he wobbles and puts his arms out.
IGGY: Whoa!
ROSIE: Don't look down.
[Both giggle, Gatita meows]
ROSIE: Across the deep, dark ocean!
[Whoosh, Iggy giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie jumps onto a blue carpet and imitates swimming. Iggy holds his nose and jumps onto the carpet. Rosie stops swimming near a shark stuffed toy. She picks the shark up and falls onto her back, kicking her feet.
ROSIE: Uh-oh. It's a shark! Ah! Go away, shark!
IGGY: Yeah! Go away!
[Gatita meows, yowls, whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: Gatita jumps down and grabs the shark. She bats the toy away from Rosie and chases it.
ROSIE: The shark swam away!
[Rosie giggles, happy music plays]
ROSIE: What a wow-mazing adventure! Iggy, don't you feel brave?
[Upbeat music notes play]
IGGY: Yes.
ROSIE: Like you can do anything?
[Upbeat music notes play, whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy throws the shark toy and puts his hands on his hips.
IGGY: Yes!
ROSIE: Like, go to the doctor?
IGGY: No!
[Discordant music notes play]
ROSIE: What?!
IGGY: No doctor for Iggy.
[Unhappy music notes play]
ROSIE: Well, that didn't work.
[Gatita meows]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie picks up a turtle stuffie.
ROSIE: Hola, Señor Turtle. Do you know how to help Iggy not be worried? Wait a sec-amadoodle!
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In his room, Iggy lies on his bed with dinosaur stuffies on the carpet beside it. Gatita jumps onto the bed as Rosie carries the turtle to it.
ROSIE: Hey, Iggy, what if you brought something with you to the doctor, to help you not feel worried? Something soft and cuddly.
[Iggy gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie hugs the turtle stuffie. Iggy grabs Gatita and hugs her.
IGGY: Bring Tita?
[Gatita meows, Rosie giggles]
ROSIE: Not Gatita. A stuffie!
[Rustle, happy music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy picks up his pink axolotl stuffie, Lote.
IGGY: Hm. Iggy take Lote!
[Gatita meows]
ROSIE: Perfecto!
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie walks away and stops when Iggy picks up more dinosaur stuffies.
IGGY: And Iggy take Timmy and Maria and Mow-Mow and Butta. Ready.
DESCRIPTION: Iggy stands covered with dinosaur stuffies, and Rosie’s mouth falls open.
ROSIE: Um, I don't think you can take all those stuffies to the doctor.
[Gatita meows]
DESCRIPTION: Gatita shakes her head.
IGGY: Aw.
[Rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy sits, and the stuffies fall on the carpet. Rosie picks up Lote.
ROSIE: How about you just take Lote?
[Rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy takes Lote.
IGGY: Okay, but, Rosie?
ROSIE: Yes?
IGGY: Lote no want to go to doctor. Bye-bye.
[Gatita meows, hand slaps]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy walks away from Rosie, who face palms. Her shoulders droop, and Gatita flops onto the carpet.
ROSIE: I need to call Abuela.
[Cheerful music notes play, geeps]
DESCRIPTION: In the living room, Rosie sits on the couch, holding a tablet. She taps the Abuela icon. Abuela appears by a table, with a bowl of snacks, a deck of cards, a notepad, and a pencil.
ROSIE: Hola, Abuela!
[Bowl scrapes]
DESCRIPTION: Abuela waves, then pushes the bowl across the table.
ABUELA: Hola, mi niña! I'm setting up a game of Canasta for later today.
[Abuela gasps]
ABUELA SHOUTS: One more chair, por favor!
ABUELA: Qué pasa?
[Light music plays]
ROSIE: I want to help Iggy not feel worried about going to the doctor for his checkup, but I don't know how.
[Rustle, light music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: A woman with long brown hair puts a chair on Abuela’s left. She returns with a cup. A second woman brings a snack tray and places it to Abuela’s right.
ABUELA: Ya veo. Mira, Rosalía. Maybe you can play a game Iggy likes. That way, he'll think about the game and not the doctor, and then he won't be so worried!
[Abuela gasps]
ABUELA: Ay, I need to find another deck of cards! Adiós granito de arroz!
DESCRIPTION: Abuela and the two women smile and wave. Rosie waves.
ROSIE: Ciao, bacalao!
[Beep]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie ends the call.
ROSIE: It's game time!
DESCRIPTION: In her room, Rosie stands with large blocks resembling dinosaur parts. Gatita pushes a purple, leg-like, cylinder-shaped piece toward Rosie.
ROSIE: Okay, Iggy, it's time to play your favourite game. Dino blocks!
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy runs to Rosie.
IGGY: Dino blocks, dino blocks!
DESCRIPTION: Rosie holds a block with an eye over a block with a mouth.
ROSIE: Roar!
[Rosie giggles]
IGGY: Roar, roar!
[Iggy giggles, Gatita meows]
DESCRIPTION: Gatita pretends to hit a stack of blocks.
ROSIE: Whoa, it's getting so tall!
[Blocks rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy looks up at the face of his dino block dinosaur.
IGGY: So tall!
[Thump, giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy falls on his bottom as he looks up.
ROSIE: Isn't this fun?
DESCRIPTION: Iggy dances on Rosie’s bed.
IGGY: Yeah, this fun! Woo-hoo!
[The music stops]
ROSIE: Rosie's Rule. If your brother is worried, he can play a dino game and then he won't have to think about the doctor at all!
[Light music notes play]
IGGY: Doctor?
[Gatita meows]
ROSIE: Oops.
[Tense music plays]
IGGY: Iggy no go to doctor!
[Thump, Gatita yowls, slide whistle, Rosie sighs, tense music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy crosses his arms and sits on the bed. The dino blocks fall, and Gatita jumps off the bed to the carpet. Nearby, Rosie paces.
ROSIE: I've tried to help Iggy not be worried about going to the doctor, but nothing's working and... I need to flop.
[Boing, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie flops onto the carpet and lies on her back.
ROSIE: Breathe in.
[Inhales]
ROSIE: Breathe out.
[Exhales, rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie wiggles on the carpet.
ROSIE: Wiggle about. Now, I'm ready to figure this out.
DESCRIPTION: Rosie jumps to her feet.
ROSIE: Vamos a ver!
[Knock on the door, door opens, light music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie’s papa opens the door and looks inside. He holds up the astronaut helmet.
ROSIE’S PAPA: Rosie? Guess what I found?
[Rosie gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie puts on the helmet.
ROSIE: My astronaut helmet!
ROSIE’S PAPA: Yup. It was in the bathtub.
ROSIE: Oh! That makes sense.
[Rosie’s papa chuckles]
ROSIE’S PAPA: It does? Hmm.
[Door squeaks, shuts]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie’s papa leaves, and Rosie crouches in front of Gatita.
ROSIE: Muy bien, Gatita! Now, when I get back from the doctor, we can pretend we're astronauts in outer space!
[Rosie gasps]
ROSIE: Pretend? Hm.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie takes off the helmet and puts it on the carpet, and dances across the room.
ROSIE SINGS: Iggy's worried 'bout the doctor, I know. Because he can't remember what it's like to go.
[Gatita meows]
DESCRIPTION: Gatita nods. Rosie takes a stethoscope out of her toy box and dances.
ROSIE SINGS: I'll pretend I'm a doctor and act it out. Then Iggy will see what it's all about.
[Energetic music plays, clapping]
DESCRIPTION: Gatita plays bongo drums. Rosie and Gatita dance.
ROSIE SINGS: I had a great big problem, un gran problemón. So, I thought about it and figured it out. And now I really know. Ya sé! Hey-hey. I figured it all out today. Whoa, let's go, 'cause now I really know. Now I really know.
[Popping]
DESCRIPTION: In her imagination, Rosie runs across the top of a ship and a piggy bank. She and Gatita land on a globe, and it spins as they walk on top of it. Popcorn covers them, and the daydream ends. In Rosie’s room, Iggy lies face down on the bed, and Rosie approaches him.
ROSIE: Iggy? We're gonna have a pretend doctor's appointment!
[Light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: A drawing on Rosie’s door features a stethoscope and a doctor’s bag. Rosie stands in front of Iggy, wearing a lab coat and a stethoscope. She consults a clipboard.
ROSIE: Welcome to Rosie's Doctor's Office! I'm Doctor Rosie. Are you Iggy?
IGGY: Yes.
ROSIE: Wow-mazing! I mean, very well, fine, good. The nurse will take you inside. Oh, nurse!
[Door opens, Gatita meows, Iggy laughs]
DESCRIPTION: The closet door opens, and Gatita walks out, wearing a nurse’s hat. Iggy stands beside a paper with a vertical line and three horizontal lines taped to the front of a dresser. Gatita sits on top, watching.
ROSIE: Comencemos! First, I will see how tall you are. Stand here, por favor.
[Rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie draws a line on the paper.
ROSIE: Look how much you grew!
[Iggy giggles]
IGGY: Iggy grew!
[Rosie giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy raises an eyebrow as Rosie touches a toy to his forehead.
ROSIE: Next, I will take your temperature. Beep-beep!
DESCRIPTION: Iggy smiles.
IGGY: Beep-beep!
ROSIE: Now, say, "Ah."
DESCRIPTION: Rosie opens her mouth, and Iggy imitates her.
IGGY: Ah.
DESCRIPTION: Rosie opens her mouth and crosses her eyes, and Iggy imitates her.
ROSIE: Ah!
IGGY: Ah!
[Gatita meows]
DESCRIPTION: Gatita crosses her eyes.
ROSIE: Perfecto! Last, I'll check your heart.
[Thump]
DESCRIPTION: Rosie holds the stethoscope to Iggy’s chest, then takes the stethoscope off.
ROSIE: Bum-bum. Bum-bum. Bum-bum. Sounds good to me. We're all done!
[Upbeat music plays]
IGGY: Yay!
ROSIE: See Iggy? Now you know what happens at the doctor! So, how do you feel about going to your check-up now?
[Tense music plays, happy music notes play]
IGGO: Iggy feel…not worried!
ROSIE: OÓrale!
[Gatita meows]
[Door opens]
DESCRIPTION: Later, Rosie, her papa, and Iggy leave the doctor’s office, and Dr. Mabel follows them outside. She has long brown hair and wears a lab coat, a blue shirt, and grey pants.
DR. MABEL: Great checkup today, Iggy.
[Doctor gasps]
DR. MABEL: Oh, I almost forgot.
[Iggy and Rosie gasp]
DESCRIPTION: Dr. Mabel takes a dinosaur sticker out of her pocket and gives it to Iggy.
DR. MABEL: Here.
IGGY: Dino sticker! Roar!
ROSIE’S PAPA: Thank you, Dr. Mabel!
DESCRIPTION: Dr. Mabel waves, and Rosie and her papa wave back.
ROSIE: Bye!
IGGY: Iggy was very brave at his checkup today!
ROSIE: That's because he had a pretend checkup first. With me!
[Happy music notes play]
IGGY: Doctor Rosie!
DESCRIPTION: Iggy runs with his sticker.
[Light music plays]
ROSIE: Rosie's Rule. Playing pretend can help you understand what something will be like. Like going to the doctor!
DESCRIPTION: Iggy holds up his sticker.
IGGY: Roar!
DESCRIPTION: Iggy and Rosie stomp, then Iggy runs with his sticker.
ROSIE: Stomp, stomp, roar!
[Iggy and Rosie giggle, their papa roars loudly, Iggy roars, Rosie laughs, their papa exclaims]
DESCRIPTION: Iggy holds the sticker out towards his papa, and his papa runs away.
