[Background whistle, shouts, basketball thumps, upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: On an indoor hard court, T.V.O. Kids host Gabrielle stands beside Coach Ann-Merrie, with her hands on her hips. Gabrielle has short brown hair and wears a purple T.V.O. Kids t-shirt. Coach Ann-Merrie has long brown hair and wears a blue jacket with white stripes on the sleeves over a black shirt. On the other side of a small barrier behind them, a small group of people plays basketball.

GABRIELLE: I am here on the field with Coach Ann-Merrie, and we are working on some soccer drills. This one feels really exciting. Are we shooting on goal?

COACH ANN-MERRIE: We are. Shooting is about timing, balance, and aiming.

GABRIELLE: Okay, teach me what to do.

COACH ANN-MERRIE: So you don't need to kick as hard as you can. We want to focus on where the ball goes.

GABRIELLE: Okay, I'm gonna try and aim and not blast it.

[Thump]

DESCRIPTION: Gabrielle kicks a soccer ball into a soccer net.

COACH ANN-MERRIE: Nice!

GABRIELLE: Hey, that felt awesome!

DESCRIPTION: Gabrielle retrieves the ball.

COACH ANN-MERRIE: That was pretty good. So, this time, what I want you to try is instead of using the inside of your foot, try to use your laces. So you're gonna point your toe for me, but I don't want you to kick with your toe. So just keep your toe pointed as you kick.

DESCRIPTION: Gabrielle practices moving her shoelaces toward the ball, then runs in a circle around it.

GABRIELLE: Okay. Superstar soccer player Gabrielle has one shot. She goes in from the score. She kicks.

DESCRIPTION: Gabrielle kicks the ball into the net, scores, and runs with her arms held high. Coach Ann-Merrie lifts her arms.

GABRIELLE: She scores!

COACH ANN-MERRIE: Woo!

[Hands slap, jump thumps, hands slap]

DESCRIPTION: Gabrielle runs to the coach, and they high-five. Gabrielle jumps, points her fingers, and then drops her hands against her legs.

GABRIELLE: Woo!

COACH ANN-MERRIE: Nice.

GABRIELLE: And that is how you play soccer, T.V.O. Kids!

DESCRIPTION: Gabrielle lifts her knee and pumps her fist.

GABRIELLE: Woo!

[Both laugh]
