DESCRIPTION: On an indoor basketball court, T.V.O. Kids host Gabrielle stands beside Coach Ann-Merrie. Gabrielle has short brown hair and wears a purple T.V.O. Kids t-shirt. She holds a soccer ball in her right hand. Coach Ann-Merrie has long brown hair and wears a blue jacket with white stripes on the sleeves over a black shirt. Video footage shows Coach Ann-Merrie kicking a soccer ball into a net at one end of the court. Coach Ann-Merrie waves.

GABRIELLE: I'm here on the field with Coach Ann-Merrie, and we're talking about the World Cup coming to Toronto. Now, what do you think the World Cup means for soccer here?

COACH ANN-MERRIE: I think it's huge. It brings people together, it gets families outside, and inspires kids to try something new.

GABRIELLE: That is so true. Now, do you think kids have to be good at soccer to enjoy it?

COACH ANN-MERRIE: Oh, not at all. Soccer's for everybody. It's about learning, teamwork, and having fun. Everybody starts somewhere.

GABRIELLE: That is so true. Now, what are you personally looking forward to the most about the World Cup?

COACH ANN-MERRIE: For me, it's about watching the games with my family and friends.

GABRIELLE: Aw, that's such a sweet answer. And to be honest, that's what the World Cup is really all about: sharing the game with the whole world. Wherever you are, T.V.O. kids, I hope you get a chance to watch some of the World Cup and enjoy some of the activities planned all across the city. I'll see you next time.
